Penyuluhan dan motivasi untuk menumbuhkan minat ibu-ibu didesa Ombe Baru dengan mengoptimalkan Facebook Marketpace sangat dibutuhkkan untuk meingkatkan minat berwirausaha. Dari hasil kegiatan didapat kesimpulan bahwa keingian ibu-ibu untuk berwirausaha sangat tinggi namun adanya ketakutan mengenai modal dan cara promosi yang masih minim dilakukan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme peserta penyuluhan dan tim penyuluh juga memberikan beberapa pertanyaan diskusi dengan tujuan dan memastikan bahwa peserta memahami apa yang telah disampaikan, selain diskusi juga ada sharing pengalaman dari ibu-ibu yang memiliki usaha dan bagaimana mempertahankan usahanya. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa ibu-ibu peserta penyuluhan telah memiliki pengetahuan mengenai bagaimana memulai sebuah usaha dan melakukan promosi terhadap produk yang akan diual dengan memanfaatkan media sosial yang selama sangat dikenal dan sering digunakan oleh ibu-ibu, tentunya diharapkan dengan bekal pengetahuan akan tumbuh minat berwirausaha di benak ibu-ibu di Desa Ombe Baru Kecamatan Kediri Lombok Barat.

Richard Nixon, moved by philosophical, practical, and political considerations, made minority business enterprise a theme of his 1968 presidential campaign and his first administration. By using set-asides, the Nixon administration overcame its meager funding of the Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE) and encouraged minority entrepreneurship. Nixon's actions influenced federal policy toward minority owned businesses for two decades.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian berbagai pupuk organik terhadap sifat fisik tanah, kimia tanah, dan produksi pada tanaman kacang tanah. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ekperimental di lapangan (lahan petani Dusun Dasan Tebu, Desa Ombe Baru, Kecamatan Kediri, Lombok Barat). Perlakuan yang digunakan meliputi tanpa perlakuan, biochar, pupuk kandang, kompos, POC limbah tahu, dan slurry biogas. Parameter yang diukur adalah berat volume tanah, berat jenis tanah, porositas tanah, bahan organik tanah, pH tanah, dan produksi kacang tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh terhadap berat volume, porositas, bahan organik, pH tanah, dan produksi kacang tanah, akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap berat jenis tanah. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik baik terhadap sifat fisik tanah, kimia tanah dan produksi kacang tanah. Penelitian lebih lanjut pemberian dengan berbagai dosis yang berbeda pada tanaman kacang tanah.

Coffee served in a coffee shop does not only sell the taste and type of coffee because in a coffee shop there are other attributes. Attributes of coffee shops such as location, facilities, and infrastructure, the atmosphere of the coffee shop are also thought to influence coffee consumers' preferences for visiting and consuming coffee. Consumer preferences will influence the purchasing decisions of coffee consumers. Knowing consumer preferences is one of the strengths of each coffee shop to be able to face competition in the long term. The purpose of this study is to determine consumer preferences in buying iced milk coffee and also want to find out from the preferences that exist, which preference factors are most considered by consumers in deciding to buy the product. This research is a quantitative study using descriptive methods and survey techniques. For the sampling method used in this study is the purposive sampling method. The data collection method used a questionnaire distributed to 91 respondents, which will be analyzed using the chi-square test and also multi-attribute fishbein. Attributes of consumer preferences in this study which refer to several previous studies have been determined by the author, the attributes of taste, price, brand, and packaging. Chi-square test results if X2 count > X2 table, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, that with the results of X2 count all items of consumer preference attributes are greater than X2 tables, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. By multiplying the confidence number (bi) and also the evaluation (ei), the consumer attitude index (Ao) is obtained, where the results can be sorted from the most considered are taste, price, packaging, and brand.

A fine balance between weak molecule-molecule interactions and usually only weakly laterally varying molecule-substrate interactions governs the physical structure of organic-inorganic and organic-organic heteroepitaxial thin films. Therefore, it is important to investigate the energetics of realistically large overlayer domains. So far, Potential calculations for large domains of organic overlayers on crystalline substrates were computationally demanding due to the vast number of atoms to be considered. Here, we present a technique which for the first time enables the calculation of both the molecule-substrate interaction potential and the molecule-molecule interaction potential for large molecular domains (up to several thousands of rather large molecules) by utilizing potential energy grid files. This technique does not only allow the investigation of the substrate influence but also full Monte-Carlo based structural optimizations, if applied to 2D crystalline overlayers. Furthermore, it provides an estimate for the energetic gain combined with the differently aligned overlayer domains. In several examples we will discuss the usefulness of this method. As a general result, we will provide evidence that energetically favorable lattice structures in OMBE systems are not restricted to commensurate unit cells or coincident super cells.

The purpose of this study was to find out and describe in-depth the Solidarity of Madurese immigrants in Jemparing Village, Long Ikis District, Paser Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive explorative research. In this research, the researcher wants to explore more deeply related to Madurese ethnic values and norms, leadership systems, community stratification systems, community religious rituals, routine community activities that attach the community, conflict resolution mechanisms within the community and outside the community, mechanisms network building with Madurese ethnic communities in other areas and solidarity with Madurese immigrants in Jemparing Village using Emile Durkheim's theory of organic solidarity and mechanical solidarity. The results showed that the Solidarity of Madurese Immigrants in Perantau, Jemparing Village, Long Ikis District, Paser Regency, was going well, meaning that the solidarity that was built was quite solid. This is based on the patterns of interaction that are built between fellow Madurese ethnicities and with the surrounding community through several methods. Also, to be accepted in the local community, Madurese immigrants who are in Jemparing Village try to accept the customs/culture of the local community as a process of assimilation but do not forget their local customs/culture. Apart from that, organic solidarity and mechanical solidarity can go hand in hand in the daily life of Madurese immigrants who are in Jemparing Village, to be precise in the Ombe area.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menggambarkan secara mendalam mengenai Solidaritas Imigran Madura di Perantauan Desa Jemparing Kecamatan Long Ikis Kabupaten Paser.Metode penelitian yang peneliti gunakan pada penelitian kali ini yaitu jenis penelitian deskriptif exsploratif. Pada penelitian kali ini peneliti ingin mengexsplor jauh lebih dalam terkait dengan nilai dan norma Etnis Madura, sistem kepemimpinan, system stratifikasi komunitas, ritual-ritual keagamaan komunitas, kegiatan-kegiatan rutin komunitas yang melekatkan komunitas, mekanisme penyelesaian konflik dalam komunitas dan luar komunitas, mekanisme pembangunan jaringan dengan komunitas Etnis Madura di wilayah lain dan solidaritas Imigran Madura di Desa Jemparing dengan menggunakan teori dari Emile Durkheim tentang solidaritas organik dan soldaritas mekanik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Solidaritas Imigran Madura di Perantauan Desa Jemparing Kecamatan Long Ikis Kabupaten Paser berjalan dengan baik, artinya bahwa solidaritas yang terbangun cukup solid. Hal itu berdasar pada pola interaksi yang dibangun baik antar sesama etnis Madura maupun dengan masyarakat sekitar melalui beberapa metode. Selain itu untuk dapat diterima dalam masyarakat setempat Imigran Madura yang berada di Desa Jemparing mencoba menerima adat-istiadat/budaya masyarakat setempat sebagai proses pembauran, tetapi tidak melupakan adat-istiadat/budaya local mereka. Selain itu solidaritas organik dan solidaritas mekanik dapat berjalan beriringan di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari Imigran Madura yang berada di Desa Jemparing, tepatnya di wilayah Ombe.

ABSTRAKTeknik budidaya padi sistem irigasi aerobik pada bedeng sangat signifikan meningkatkan hasil gabah terutama jika disertai pupuk hayati mikoriza. Permasalahannya adalah cepatnya pertumbuhan gulma sehingga harus sering dilakukan penyiangan selama fase vegetatif tanaman padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh mulsa jerami dan pupuk hayati mikoriza terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa galur harapan padi beras hitam pada bedeng dengan sistem irigasi aerobik. Percobaan dilaksanakan di sawah Desa Ombe Baru, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, NTB pada bulan Mei-September 2020 menurut Split Split-Plot design dengan tiga blok dan tiga faktor perlakuan yaitu galur padi (G3 dan G9) sebagai petak utama, mulsa jerami (J0= tanpa mulsa jerami, J1= dengan mulsa jerami) sebagai anak petak, dan pupuk hayati mikoriza (M0= tanpa mikoriza, M1= dengan mikoriza) sebagai anak-anak petak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa galur tidak berpengaruh terhadap semua variabel pengamatan, sedangkan aplikasi mulsa jerami dan pupuk hayati mikoriza signifikan meningkatkan beberapa variabel pertumbuhan dan hasil gabah. Galur G9 lebih responsif terhadap mulsa jerami dan pupuk hayati mikoriza dibandingkan G3 dalam meningkatkan jumlah anakan dan jumlah malai. Sementara itu G3 lebih responsif terhadap mulsa jerami dan mikoriza dalam meningkatkan jumlah gabah berisi/malai. Aplikasi mulsa jerami menghasilkan gabah yang lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa mulsa jerami, yaitu berturut-turut 46,98 g/rumpun dan 36,89 g/rumpun. Pupuk hayati mikoriza menghasilkan gabah lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa pemberian pupuk hayati, yang berturut-turut adalah 46,94 g/rumpun dan 36,94 g/rumpun. ABSTRACTRice cultivation techniques using aerobic irrigation systems on raised beds significantly increase grain yield, especially when accompanied by the application of mycorrhizal biofertilizers. The problem is the fast growth of weeds, so frequent weeding must be done during the vegetative phase of the rice plant. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of straw mulch and mycorrhizal biofertilizer on the growth and yield of several promising strain of black rice on beds with an aerobic irrigation system. The experiment was conducted in the ricefields of Ombe Baru Village, West Lombok Regency, NTB in May-September 2020 which was arranged according to Split Split-Plot design with three blocks and three treatment factors, namely rice strain (G3 and G9) as main plots, straw mulch (J0= without straw mulch, J1= with straw mulch) as sub-plots, and mycorrhiza biofertilizer application (M0= without mycorrhiza, M1= with mycorrhiza) as sub-sub-plots. The results showed that the strain factor had no effect on all observed variables, while the application of straw mulch and mycorrhizal biofertilizer significantly increased several growth variables and grain yields. There was an interaction effect between treatment factors, which indicated that the G9 strain was more responsive to the straw mulch and mycorrhizal biofertilizers than G3 in increasing the number of tillers and panicles. Meanwhile, G3 strain was more responsive to the application of straw mulch and mycorrhizae in increasing the number of filled grains per panicle. The application of straw mulch produced grain with a higher average than without straw mulch, namely 46.98 g/clump and 36.89 g/clump, respectively. Mycorrhizal biofertilizers produced higher grain yields than those without biofertilizers, which were 46.94 g/clump and 36.94 g/clump, respectively.

Roadside streams in the Mount Cameroon region are predisposed to nutrient enrichment from different anthropogenic activities carried out around catchment areas. The composition and diversity of aquatic macrophytes in three roadside streams in the MCR, the biomass, and nutrient accumulation of the most abundant aquatic macrophytes in one of the streams were assessed in order to better understand and quantify the benefits accruing from these macrophytes. Vegetation sampling was carried out along the transects at 50 m intervals, within which plots were laid. Quadrats of 1m by 1m were sub-sampled within each plot and all plants were identified and enumerated. Water, sediment, and plant samples were collected and analysed for nutrients using standard procedures (nitrogen and phosphorus). The results show that the aquatic vegetation of the roadside streams is limited to emergent (> 98%) and floating-leaved life forms. A total of 47 aquatic macrophytes from 18 plant families were identified from the 3 studied wetlands in the Mount Cameroon region. Plant taxa with many representative species included Poaceae (8 species), Araceae (6), Acanthaceae (5), and Asteraceae (4). A high Shannon-Wiener diversity was recorded across study sites (H ≥ 2.9) with the highest in Ombe and the least in Bota. P. purpureum showed significantly higher biomass (p < 0.05) compared to the other macrophytes. It had the highest fresh weight and dry weights (FW: 12.8±1.45 kg/m2 and DW: 0.81± 0.11kg/m2) relative to C. benghalensis and I. aquatica.TN content was highest in C. benghalensis (12.92 ± 0.67 g/kg). P. pupureum and I. aquatica didn’t differ significantly in their nitrogen content (P≤ 0.05) while all three species contained high phosphorus concentrations in their above-ground tissues. TP storage was in the order C. benghalensis >P. purpureum>I. aquatica. This suggests that aquatic macrophytes play vital roles in retaining phosphorus and nitrogen hence affecting water quality and nutrient dynamics of these streams. These nutrient-rich plants can be removed from the aquatic system by harvesting and used as fodder to prevent nutrient release into the water column through decomposition after plant dieback.

Hypoxia-induced drug resistance (HDR) is a critical issue in cancer therapy. The presence of hypoxic tumor cells impedes drug uptake and reduces the cytotoxicity of chemotherapeutic drugs, leading to HDR and increasing the probability of tumor recurrence and metastasis. Microbubbles, which are used as an ultrasound contrast agent and drug/gas carrier, can locally deliver drugs/gas and produce an acousto–mechanical effect to enhance cell permeability under ultrasound sonication. The present study applied oxygen-loaded microbubbles (OMBs) to evaluate the mechanisms of overcoming HDR via promotion of drug uptake and reoxygenation. A hypoxic mouse prostate tumor cell model was established by hypoxic incubation for 4 h. After OMB treatment, the permeability of HDR cells was enhanced by 23 ± 5% and doxorubicin uptake was increased by 11 ± 7%. The 61 ± 14% reoxygenation of HDR cells increased the cytotoxicity of doxorubicin from 18 ± 4% to 58 ± 6%. In combination treatment with OMB and doxorubicin, the relative contributions of uptake promotion and reoxygenation towards overcoming HDR were 11 ± 7% and 28 ± 10%, respectively. Our study demonstrated that reoxygenation of hypoxic conditions is a critical mechanism in the inhibition of HDR and enhancing the outcome of OMB treatment.

In this paper, ti/tw is explained as a simplified noun originating in a masculine noun meaning “a body, a person (or similar)” in Proto-Egyptian, which was used as an indefinite subject just as “ome”/“omne” in Medieval Spanish and “man” in German when it follows an active verb form of the suffix pronoun conjugation. The historical development of the Earlier Egyptian man-impersonal verb paradigm will be studied focusing on the changes that each man-impersonal verb form with ti/tw underwent from Old Egyptian to Middle Egyptian, to conclude that the Earlier Egyptian man-impersonal verb paradigm (except in exceptional cases) permeated later forms of the language, just as it would do in other languages, such as Spanish.

More specifically, OIRA owes its initial existence to the establishment of a centralized regulatory review system, the Quality of Life Review, which initiated Office of Management and Budget (OMB) review of environmental regulations through the issuance of a directive from OMB. Every subsequent President expanded OMBs powers through the issuance of Executive Orders which culminated in the Iconic Executive Order 12291. The section concludes with the recommendation that a select class of Executive Orders, and OMB Directives, be designated as “Iconic” by the National Archivist in consultation with the OIRA, and then given substantial deference by incoming Administrations. The second section, “OIRA Present,” describes an Executive Order issued during the Kennedy Administration which remains in effect but was promulgated prior to the establishment of OIRA and therefore recommends that a new Executive Order be issued which gives OIRA specific authority to participate in the conduct of interagency reviews of Executive Orders. The third section, “OIRA Future,” describes an Executive Order which implements a regulatory budget (RB) and institutionalizes a mechanism for controlling the size of the administrative state. This final section of the article recommends that the aforementioned Executive Order be reviewed and modified based upon the outcome of a request for public comments, and rules with demonstrated positive net benefits should no longer be accorded an automatic entitlement for issuance as a final rule absent their inclusion in an RB.

AbstractThis study compares the simulation biases of Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) brightness temperature to observations made at night over China through the use of three land surface emissivity (LSE) datasets. The University of Wisconsin–Madison High Spectral Resolution Emissivity dataset, the Combined Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer Emissivity database over Land High Spectral Resolution Emissivity dataset, and the International Geosphere–Biosphere Programme (IGBP) infrared LSE module, as well as land skin temperature observations from the National Basic Meteorological Observing stations in China are used as inputs to the Community Radiative Transfer Model. The results suggest that the standard deviations of AHI observations minus background simulations (OMBs) are largely consistent for the three LSE datasets. Also, negative biases of the OMBs of brightness temperature uniformly occur for each of the three datasets. There are no significant differences in OMB biases estimated with the three LSE datasets over cropland and forest surface types for all five AHI surface-sensitive channels. Over the grassland surface type, significant differences (~0.8 K) are found at the 10.4-, 11.2-, and 12.4-μm channels if using the IGBP dataset. Over nonvegetated surface types (e.g., sandy land, gobi, and bare rock), the lack of a monthly variation in IGBP LSE introduces large negative biases for the 3.9- and 8.6-μm channels, which are greater than those from the two other LSE datasets. Thus, improvements in simulating AHI infrared surface-sensitive channels can be made when using spatially and temporally varying LSE estimates.

2-Oxo-4-thiomethylbutyric acid (OMBA) is a widely used oxygen-radical-scavenging agent and has been used for the detection of .OH-like species in a variety of systems. This scavenger reacts with other radicals and is therefore not specific for .OH. Since iron is required in most systems for the generation of OH-like species, studies were carried out to investigate the possible interaction of OMBA with iron. Fe3+ reacted with OMBA to produce complexes that gave rise to discrete spectra. Intense purple complexes, with broad absorbance maxima of 525-550 nm, were found at OMBA/Fe3+ ratios of up to 1:1, whereas red complexes with a prominent shoulder between 440 and 480 nm were found at higher OMBA/Fe3+ ratios. OMBA caused reduction of ferric iron to the ferrous state, as detected with 2,2′-bipyridyl as the indicator. This reduction occurs in the dark, can be photo-accelerated especially by light with wavelengths near the absorbance maximum of the respective complexes, and is increased as the OMBA/Fe3+ ratio is elevated. The presence of phosphate buffer quenches the purple and red ferric-ion-OMBA complexes and lowers the rate of reduction of Fe3+ by OMBA about 10-fold. The resulting ferrous-ion-OMBA-phosphate complex is very stable against autoxidation. Both the ferrous-ion-OMBA and ferric-ion-OMBA complexes reacted with H2O2, with the subsequent production of ethylene gas from OMBA. The interaction with H2O2 resulted in discrete spectral changes of both the ferrous-ion-OMBA and ferric-ion-OMBA complexes. The ferrous-ion-OMBA/H2O2 or ferric-ion-OMBA/H2O2 system appeared to produce .OH free radicals via a Fenton-type of reaction since ethylene production was inhibited by competitive OH scavengers. Ferrous-ion-OMBA complex reacted with H2O2 not only to produce ethylene from the OMBA, but also to promote the oxidation of another scavenger, ethanol. The ability of OMBA to chelate iron, to promote reduction of ferric iron and to react with H2O2 to produce potent oxidizing radicals may play a role in the lack of specificity of OMBA as a scavenger of oxygen radicals.

The latter was an influential participant of the Westphalian peace negotiations. Balde showed his political commitment by the dedication of the ninth book of his Silvae to D’Avaux. This article tries to put the publication of Silvae 9 in its historical context. Furthermore, it provides the first integral and literal translation as well as a commentary on Silvae 9.26 — the last political poem of that collection. This poem bears witness to Balde’s desire for peace, for it summons the negotiators, after a fictitiously concluded peace, not to set off fireworks, but to burn all the armaments of the war.

First- and second-person pronouns have been one of the centerpieces of the literature on language and gender differences in Japanese (Shibamoto Smith 2003). Most of our understandings of real (empirical) pronominal use comes from investigations of female speakers of standard Japanese. Our understandings of how dialect speakers and/or men use pronominal forms in daily linguistic practice are not well informed. This article undertakes an investigation of Japanese men’s uses of pronominal forms; each participant was born and reared in the Kansai (western) area of Japan and uses a dialect variety of Japanese (Hanshinkan Dialect). Literature which addresses pronominal usage in Japanese indicates that these forms are risky since they always serve to position speaker and hearer in specific ways relative to one another; as such, pronouns are something to be avoided. The findings of this paper indicate that pronouns are used by Japanese men; however the uses are contextually governed and have little to do with delineating speaker from hearer and have more to do with specific conversational goals.

Secara ekonomi dusun Rapah Ombo yang terdiri dari 73 kepalakeluarga bisa dikatakan dusun yang sejahtera dengan pendapatan per-kapita yang telah cukupdengan tingkat homogenitas yang komunal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari.Mayoritas masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai petani dan peternak. Berdasar hasil pengamatan yangtelah kami lakukan, kami dapat menarik kesimpulan bahwa yang dibutuhkan saat ini olehmasyarakat Rapah Ombo adalah peningkatan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM), terutama programpemberantasan buta huruf melalui metode pembentukan zona literasi terpadu, mengingat masihbanyaknya warga yang kurang bisa membaca dan menulis. Berangkat dari kenyataan tersebut kamimerumuskan permasalahan yang akan diungkap yaitu, bagaimanakah penerapan zona lliterasiterpadu, di dusun Rapah Ombo dalam pelaksanaan program ini. Dalam kondisi normal, waduk ini mampu menampung air sekitar 750 juta m3 sehingga mampu mengairi lahan seluas 63.624 hektar. Salah satu fungsi waduk kedung ombo adalah untuk pelayanan air irigasi yang mengairi waduk- waduk yang berada pada daerah layanan waduk kedung ombo, meliputi wilayah Kabupaten Grobogan, Demak dan Pati. Ketidakseimbangan antara ketersediaan air yang cenderung menurun dan kebutuhan air yang cenderung meningkat memerlukan usaha pengembangan sumber daya air yang berkelanjutan yang lebih efektif sedangkan daerah layanan waduk kedung ombo sendiri mencapai areal yang sangat luas, yang membutuhkan adanya pembagian air irigasi yang tepat baik dalam segi waktu maupun jumlah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air irigasi yang mempengaruhi produksi tanam petani. Melihat dari pentingnya fungsi waduk kedung ombo tersebut, maka sangat perlu adanya sistem yang mengatur pembagian air irigasi pada waduk kedung ombo dengan tujuan sebagai bahan masukan dan pertimbangan kepada instansi terkait untuk pengambilan keputusan dalam perhitungan kebutuhan air dan pengaturan pembagian air irigasi ke waduk-waduk daerah layanan waduk kedung ombo sesuai kebutuhan. Waduk Kedung Ombo adalah waduk yang terletak di perbatasan tiga kabupaten yaitu Kabupaten Grobongan, Kabupaten Boyolali, dan Kabupaten Sragen tepatnya di Kecamatan Geyer, Kabupaten Grobogan, Jawa tengah. Waduk Kedung Ombo mempunyai peran penting sebagai sumber perairan untuk berbagai keperluan. Namun seiring berjalannya waktu, Waduk Kedung Ombo mengalami penurunan kualitas dikarenakan permasalahan kondisi waduk serta permasalahan kawasan di sekitarnya. Permasalahan utama yang dialami Waduk Kedung Ombo adalah sedimentasi TSS yang tinggi dan berakibat juga adanya pencemaran kesuburan air pada peningkatan klorofil-a. Data Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup (2010) menyatakan bahwa Waduk Kedung Ombo mengalami penyusutan air hingga 42,67% dari volume air normal (723,16 juta m3). Data ini mempertegas Data Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum per Februari 2008 yang menyatakan volume ketersediaan air di Waduk Kedung Ombo hanya setengah dari yang direncanakan. Pemantauan tingkat kualitas perairan Waduk Kedung Ombo saat ini masih dilakukan dengan pengamatan sampel kualitas air secara uji laboratorium pada beberapa stasiun pengamatan. Teknik ini untuk bentangan wilayah yang cukup luas memerlukan waktu dan biaya yang cukup besar. Teknologi penginderaan jauh dapat memberikan solusi untuk pengamatan kualitas air pada bentangan daerah yang luas karena menggunakan citra satelit memiliki cara pemrosesan yang tidak rumit dan biaya yang cukup murah. Teknologi penginderaan jauh dapat mengindentifikasi dan menganalisis hasil perekaman karakteristik spektral air dengan parameter-parameter kualitas air. Dimana dengan menggunakan metode-metode yang tepat nantinya mampu menampilkan kualitas air Waduk Kedung Ombo sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Salah satu data citra satelit yang mampu dimanfaatkan adalah citra satelit Landsat-8. Pengamatan citra satelit Landsat-8 dengan algoritma TSS dan klorofil-a mampu memberikan informasi tentang perubahan kualitas air. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kualitas perairan Waduk Kedung Ombo periode 2013-2018 masih memenuhi baku mutu pencemaran. Ini ditunjukkan dari nilai parameter TSS masih di dominasi kelas memenuhi baku mutu selalu diatas 95% dari total perairan pada semua tahun dan dari parameter klorofil/kesuburan air masih didominasi kelas oligotrof selalu diatas 90 % dari total perairan pada semua tahun.

Leu-OMe-, Glu-(OMe)2-, or Leu-Leu-OMe-mediated killing of M phi was prevented by Gly-Phe-CHN2, a specific inhibitor of the thiol protease, dipeptidyl peptidase I (DPPI). Neither NH4Cl nor Gly-Phe-CHN2 prevented Phe-OMe-mediated M phi toxicity. In contrast, inhibition of M phi serine esterase activity prevented Phe-OMe- but not Leu-OMe- or Glu- (OMe)2-mediated killing of M phi. The myeloid tumor lines U937, HL60, and THP-1 were found to be uniformly enriched in DPPI and susceptible to Leu-Leu-OMe but not Leu-OMe toxicity. Whereas HL60 were resistant to Phe-OMe, THP-1 cells were killed by this agent. Incubation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells with Leu-OMe resulted in loss of natural killer (NK) functions and cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) precursors, a process that requires the DPPI-dependent generation of membranolytic polymerization products. Phe-OMe had no toxic effects on NK cells or CTL precursors. These results indicate that Leu-OMe and Glu- (OMe)2 toxicity for M phi is related to the production of higher molecular weight hydrophobic polymerization products via the sequential action of two nonserine esterase lysosomal enzymes. In contrast, Phe- OMe toxicity for myeloid cells was found to correlate with serine esterase-mediated intracellular trapping of high concentrations of the free amino acid Phe. Methods: we retrospectively collected data from 998 patients diagnosed with synchronous or metachronous metastatic breast cancer (MBC) between January 2014 and December 2018 at our institution. The only criterion used to define OMBC was the presence of one to five metastases at diagnosis. Hormone receptor (HR) and HER2 receptor status, histology, SBR grade, number of metastases and organs affected were collected. Results: Of 998 MBC, 15.8% were OMBC (158/998). Among the series, 88% (139/158) of OMBC had 1 to 3 metastases and 86.7% (137/158) had only one organ involved. Among 158 patients, 52.5% (n=83) had bone metastases, 20.9% (n=33) had lymph node metastases, 14.6% (n=23) had liver metastases, 13.3% (n=21) had brain metastases, 8.2% (n=13) had lung metastases, and 3.8% (n=6) had others (skin, pancreas, adrenal). Among these 158 patients, 83.4% (n=131) had ductal breast carcinoma, 55.7% (n=88) had HR+/HER2- OMBC, 25.3% (n=40) had HER2+ OMBC and 19% (n=30) had HR-/HER2- OMBC. HR+/HER2- subtype was statistically associated with bone and bone only metastases (p=0.001), HER2+ subtype with brain metastases (p=0.001) and HR-/HER2- subtype with lymph node metastases (p=0.008). Visceral metastases (lung or liver) are not statistically associated with any biological subtypes. The proportion of OMBC with SBR grade III was statistically higher than in a series of 22,109 patients with MBC [2] (49.4% vs 35.2%; p< 0.001). Conclusion: OMBC is a heterogeneous entity. OMBC incidence is certainly much higher than the commonly used values. SUMMARYl-Amino acid esters, such as leucine methyl ester (Leu-OMe) can destroy intracellular as well as isolated amastigotes of Leishmania mexicana amazonensis by a mechanism which may involve ester hydrolysis by parasite enzymes. We show here that several other esters prevented the killing of the amastigotes by Leu-OMe. Destruction of Leishmania within macrophages in culture was assessed microscopically and viability of isolated parasites was monitored by reduction of the tetrazolium MTT. The main features of the protective effect were similar for intracellular and for isolated amastigotes. Thus, (i) effective prevention of parasite killing required that the protective ester be present in the medium prior to and during exposure of infected cells or parasites to Leu-OMe; (ii) the same esters protected intracellular and isolated Leishmania against damage by Leu-OMe. Ranks of protective activity, as determined on isolated amastigotes were: Gly-OBz > Tyr-OMe > Ile-OMe > Met-OMe > Val-OMe > Ala-OMe > Gly-OMe > D-Leu-OMe; (iii) several esters were inactive in both systems (Leu-OBz, Trp-OMe and Phe-OMe). Protective activity was associated with leishmanicidal (e.g. Gly-OBz, Tyr-OMe) as well as with non-leishmanicidal (e.g. Ile-OMe, Val-OMe) esters. The results are compatible with the hypothesis that protective esters inhibit the activity of parasite enzyme(s) which hydrolyse Leu-OMe.

Category: Arthroscopy Introduction/Purpose: Lateral ankle instability (LAI) is common injury in general population and open modified Broström operation (OMBO) is standard treatment of lateral ankle instability. Recently arthroscopic modified Broström operation (AMBO) is performed and many studies show that there are no difference in clinical & radiologic outcomes between open and arthroscopic operation. But not previously reported, comparison between OMBO and AMBO with the period of return to practice. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the time of return to practice in patients with clinical functional outcomes. Methods: From January 2012. to July 2014. 60 patients were included. They were divided into 2 groups: AMBO (30 patients) and OMBO (30 patients.). All patients followed a standardized treatment and rehabilitation program. We measured the period of return to practice by 7 Questions asked in each groups to compare period of return to practice. Survey is consisted of about time of walking, running, jumping, squatting, climbing stairs, rising up heels and toes without pain. And we also compared the time from the symptom of instability onset to date of operation. And for clinical outcome, evaluations were performed preoperatively, postoperatively, and 6months postoperatively using the AOFAS ankle-hindfoot score, pain VAS score and subjective satisfaction for rehabilitation, activity level of patients. Results: For comparison of the dates of operation, the average period of AMBO was faster (6.37±3.378 weeks) than OMBO (14.47±5.794 weeks). And for return to practice, AMBO showed faster return to practice (7.07±2.96 weeks) in walking without pain than OMBO (11.03±8.58 weeks). And other survey showed no difference in period of return to practice between OMBO and AMBO. There were no difference in postoperatively 6 month AOFAS and VAS score, but postoperatively VAS score showed significantly lower in AMBO than OMBO. AMBO was found to be faster return to practice in 2 out of 7 questions in high physical activity group, and also subjective satisfaction rate for rehabilitation of AMBO was higher than OMBO. Conclusion: For general population, except walking, there was no difference in the period of return to practice and clinical outcomes between the AMBO and OMBO for the treatment of lateral ankle instability. However, this study showed that AMBO was able to receive the surgery more quickly than OMBO. and AMBO can be a treatment option and should be considered carefully in atheletes who have lateral ankle instability that AMBO showed good results in higher activity level group for period of return to practice, subjective satisfaction, lower postoperatively pain.

Injectable oxygen delivery is an emerging technology that presents an opportunity for improved patient care in a number of medical disciplines. Here, we report on the fabrication and characterization of novel protein-encapsulated oxygen microbubbles (OMBs) designed for intravenous injection. The nanothick albumin encapsulation provided OMBs small enough for transcapillary passage: 99% of the microbubbles were less than 3-μm diameter and less than 1% of the oxygen was encapsulated in microbubbles greater than 8-μm diameter. The protein OMBs were remarkably stable, losing less than 40% of the encapsulated gas over 12 days. Upon injection into an oxygen-depleted saline solution, the protein OMBs rapidly equilibrated by releasing their oxygen core. These results indicate that protein microbubbles may serve as a suitable platform for direct injection of bioactive and therapeutic gases.
