Abstract:
This thesis focuses on real-time visual object tracking with emphasis on problems caused by a long-term tracking task. Among theses problems belong primarily an occlusion problem, both the partial and the full one, and appearance changes of the object during the tracking. The work is also concerned with tracking objects of a very limited size and unsteady camera movements. These two particular problems are relatively common when tracking distant objects. A part of this work is also a summary of related work and a proposal of a system with high qualitative stability and robustness to problems mentioned. The proposed system was implemented and the evaluation demonstrated that it is capable of solving these problems partially.

Abstract:
1 Summary Elective MIDCAB: Shunt or Tournique Occlusion? Assessment of a Protective Role of Perioperative Intraluminal Shunting on Myocardial Damage. Background: To determine impact of intraluminal-left anterior descending (LAD) shunt to prevent myocardial damage in minimally invasive coronary artery bypass (MIDCAB). Methods: 38 patients were randomly assigned to external tournique occlusion (TO, n = 19) or intraluminal-LAD shunt group (ILS, n = 19). Blood samples for cardiac troponin T (cTnT), Creatine Kinase (CK), CK-MB, myoglobin and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were collected at 30 min. prior to, 6 and 24 hours after surgery. Results: 1 patient in TO and 2 in ILS group were excluded from futher analysis due to preoperative cTnT level above the 99th-percentile (≥ 0,01 μg/l). The anastomotic time in TO group was significantly shorter than in ILS group (13.44 ± 5.06 vs 18.9 ± 6.56 min., p = 0.0094). Postoperatively, each six patients in TO (33.3%) and ILS (35.3 %) group were above the 99th-percentile. 2 patients from each group (TO 11.1 % and ILS 11.8 %) had peak values above 10-% CV cutoff (p = 1). The differences in postoperative plasma concentrations of CK, CK-MB, myoglobin and AST between groups were similar. There were no significant differences in between both groups at all studied timepoints....

Title: The effect of exercise with blood flow restriction on the development of muscle strength Objectives: The aim of this work was to assess the magnitude of the effect of exercise with blood flow restriction on the development of muscle strength on the basis of a systematic research and to determine the main factors that moderate this increase. Methods: Primary sources were searched in the scientific databases Academic Search Ultimate, Web of Science and Taylor and Francis. Individual training interventions were found in the included studies. Based on the training interventions, possible moderating factors of the magnitude of the effect on the development of muscular strength of the upper or lower limbs were defined. From the results of the studies, the effect size values of Cohen's d and Hedge's g were calculated. The influence of concrete parameters of application of the vascular occlusion and blood flow restriction exercise on the magnitude of the effect was evaluated on the basis of correlation analysis. Results: A total of 27 studies were included in this diploma thesis, in which 39 different trainings using blood flow restriction exercises were found and included. Based on the correlation analysis, no direct relationship was found between the exercise parameters and the magnitude of the...

Abstract:
The thesis deals with laryngeal phonology, especially laryngeal realism, an new approach to feature representation which distinguishes structurally tho-way contrasts of "voice" languages (Czech, Spenish) from those of "aspiration" languages (German). Laryngeal realism is the better 4 way of accounting for the laryngeal contrasts in languages with two series of obstruents than traditional approach. The next part of dissertation deals with the the terms fortis and lenis. These terms are controversial, as linguists disagree about their definition and their validity. It is argued that it is a phonetic phenomenon which could emerges when the primary correlates of speech sounds are suppressed and the second correlates are enhanced. The last part of this work is an attempt to contribute to the explanation of the longstanding issue of the Hittite phonology a phonemic opposition between two series of stops.

Abstract:
The functioning of maxillofacial complex as a one unit is an important condition of fulfilling several functions connected with this area of human body. A maxillofacial region and other parts of the body are connected through occlusion, one of the basic characteristics of which is occlusal plane. According to the number of researchers, 3D orientation of occlusal plane, its shape and possible deformation can have an influence on other anatomic structures via a system of a complex neuromuscular reactions. This theory assumes that the adjustment of occlusal plane inclination causes redistribution and redirection of the chewing forces in the adjacent structures which will subsequently manifest itself in the adjustment of the tension of different muscles. Aim The aim of an experimental part of the research was to define the influence of occlusal plane inclination on the function of maxillofacial region with the focus of jaw joints and chewing muscles. The next goal was to determine the figures of sagittal and frontal inclination of occlusal plane which can be considered as physiological. Patients and Methods The research was based on the examination of 87 people of both genders, different age groups with a complete set of teeth and without chronic diseases. The participants were divided in two groups...

Abstract:
Mapping of changes in oxygen saturation in retinal vessels related to the extent of peripheral nonperfusion in patients with retinal vein occlusion Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the ischemic index and the oxygen saturation in retinal vessels in patients with retinal vein occlusion. Methods: We performed a prospective, cross-sectional study. The cohort consisted of 43 eyes of 43patients with retinal vein occlusions (RVO), 23 of whom had central retinal vein occlusions (CRVO) and 20 who had branch retinal vein occlusions (BRVO). We evaluated the retinal vessel saturation using an automatic retinal oximetry device (Oxymap Inc., Reykjavik, Iceland). The retinal ischemic index (ISI) was determined using ultra-wide-field fluorescein angiography (Heidelberg Engineering GmbH, Heidelberg, Germany). Results: Mean arterial saturation (± SD) was 100 ± 11 %, mean vein saturation was 52 ±13 % and mean A-V difference was 48 ± 16 % in eyes with BRVO. The average ISI inthe same group was 0.48 (range 0-1). There was no statistically significant correlation between the retinal ischemic index and retinal saturation in the BRVO group. The affected eye in the CRVO group had a mean arterial saturation of 101 ± 6 %, vein saturation of 44 ± 11 % and A- V difference of 58 ± 10 %. The...

Abstract:
Introduction: Internal Carotid Stump Syndrome may be one of the possible causes of ischemic stroke (iCMP), as well as retinal infarction (RI). Syndrome of the occluded internal carotid (ACI) (stump syndrome) is a nosological unit, which is characterized by an onset of ipsilateral iCMP or RI of thromboembolic ethiology in patients with occlusion of ACI via the externa carotid or arteria ophthalmica. In my thesis, I have concentrated upon the specification of the stump syndrome, its diagnostics and treatment; furthermore I have assessed the appropriateness of surgical approach in comparison with conservative approach. Material and methods: A total of 621 patients with occlusion were treated in two centres in the course of five years. In a group of 40 patients, the ACI occlusion was detected sonographically, the length of the occluded ACI being >5 mm, with normal vasoreactivity based upon SPECT CO2 and excluded cardiogenic cause of iCMP. The patients were divided in two groups - surgical and conservative. Patients were monitored in 6-month intervals for the total period of four years. Results: No RI or iCMP were detected in the surgical group; one patient died six months after surgery. We observed one case of amaurosis fugax in the conservative group. Conclusion: Ultrasound examination is a fully sufficient...

Abstract:
Return temporal anticipation on the basis of the ball trajectory estimation Abstract Ball-hitting in tennis involves spatio-temporal information about the ball's flight trajectory. We have focused on the temporal part of the information during returning a tennis serve that was simulated by a ball machine. The tested people had occlusion glasses placed on their head, which occluded their vision at the exact time, when the ball was being sent from the ball machine. The tested person did not know which part of the ball flight trajectory would be occluded, nor the ball speed. We examined the effect of part ball flight trajectory occlusion on the correct return timing of the ball. The analysis revealed that the greatest problems occurred while the second third of the ball flight trajectory had been occluded and reached most temporal errors at that time. Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to define norms for inspiratory (Pimax) and expiratory (Pemax) pressures and mouth occlusion pressure (P0.1) in healthy white population of the 16-17 age group in the Czech Republic, specifically the capital city of Prague and its close vicinity. Furthermore, this work aspires to ascertain whether there is a correlation between the respiratory pressures, P0.1 and selected anthropometric and pulmonary values. In order to define the norms, 79 children were tested, including 41 boys and 38 girls 16 to 17 years old. After establishing the subjects' case histories, anthropometric, spirometric inspiratory, expiratory and forced vital capacity measurements were made. The study defined the norms of respiratory pressures and P0.1 in 16 to 17-year-old boys and girls, thus achieving its main goal. Furthermore, a difference was found between the average measured Pimax and Pemax values for boys and girls, with the boys showing higher values comparing with the girls. The study did not ascertain a correlation between respiratory pressures, P0.1 and selected anthropometric values (age, height, weight, BMI, BSA). No correlation was found between respiratory pressures and static pulmonary volumes. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Abstract:
Objective: The goal of the thesis "Monitoring of the Respiratory Functions in patients after the Rib Cage Surgery according to Nuss" was to confront the present knowledge about respiratory functions and the strength of respiratory muscles of patients with inherited pectoral deformity pectus excavatum, to compare it with my own measuring and to find out about their development after the surgical correction according to Nuss. Methodology: There were 15 patients being monitored (13 men and 3 women), who underwent spirometric and bodypletysmographic examination and the occlusal mouth pressures were determined before the surgery. The same pulmonary function tests were run in the course of 4 to 10 months (7.1 months on average) on all the patients, the control determination of mouth pressures is available for 13 of them. Results: In the entry tests, compared to adequate values the patients in this file had increased residual lung capacities (RV 142%, p=0.001; ITGV 116.2%, p=0.004; RV%TLC 133.8%, p=0.002; ITGV% 116.1%, p=0.001) at the expense of statistically lower vital lung capacity (VC 81.9%, p=0.0004) and inspiratory reserve capacity (IC 84.2%, p=0.0003), while the total lung capacity remained unaltered (TLC 99.7%, p=0.877).
