Abstract:
AbstrakKlorin (OCl-) merupakan bahan kimia berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia, yang kadang digunakan sebagai bahanpemutih beras. Oleh sebab itu dilakukan upaya analisis Klorin menggunakan teknik Square Wave Voltammetry. Penelitian ini melakukan optimasi pengaturan parameter (konsentrasi larutan elektrolit, pH, dan sampling time) dan karakterisasi metode kerja dari teknik Square Wave Voltammetry, sehingga teknik ini dapat diaplikasikan untuk analisis klorin bebas (OCl-) dalam air cucian beras berpemutih. Variasi konsentrasi larutan elektrolit yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah 0,05; 0,10; 0,15; 0,20; 0,25 M. Variasi pH yang diterapkan pada pH 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, dan 12. Variasi sampling time yang diterapkan adalah 5, 10, 15, dan 20 milisekon. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, konsentrasi larutan elektrolit optimum pada konsentrasi 0,15 M, pH optimum pada kondisi pH 9, dan sampling time optimum adalah 10 milisekon. Hasil karakterisasi kinerja metode pada teknik Square Wave Voltammetry yang telah dioptimasi ini menghasilkan linieritas 0,9885, limit deteksi sebesar 9,563 ppm, dan nilai koefisien variasi sebesar 4,09%. Hasil pengukuran konsentrasi klorin bebas (OCl-) dengan teknik Square Wave Voltammetry yang telah dioptimasi adalah senilai 30,125 ppm. Pengaturan tiga parameter tersebut berpengaruh terhadap bentuk dan ketinggian puncak voltamogram yang dihasilkan. Kata Kunci: Square Wave Voltammetry, Optimasi Parameter, Klorin bebas, Beras Berpemutih.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this study was to measure auditory comprehension performance in school-aged children with unilateral hearing loss (UHL) and with normal hearing (NH) in quiet and in the presence of child-produced two-talker babble (TTB). Method Listeners were school-aged children (7–12 years) with permanent UHL ( n = 25) or NH ( n = 14). Comprehension of three short stories taken from the Test of Narrative Language ( Gillam & Pearson, 2004 ) was measured in quiet and in the presence of TTB at two signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs): (a) +6 dB and (b) the individualized SNR required to achieve 50% sentence understanding in the presence of the same TTB masker in a prior study ( Griffin, Poissant, & Freyman, 2019 ). Target/masker spatial configuration was 0°/±60° azimuth. Results As a group, subjects with UHL demonstrated auditory comprehension abilities in favorable listening environments (i.e., quiet, +6 dB SNR) that were statistically equivalent to the NH group. However, in the most challenging listening condition (individualized SNR), many subjects with UHL demonstrated poorer comprehension performance than their age-matched peers with NH. Comprehension abilities were not associated with degree of UHL, unaided speech intelligibility index at 65 dB SPL in the impaired ear, side of UHL, or sex. Conclusions As a group, children with UHL demonstrated deficits in auditory comprehension compared to age-matched peers with NH in challenging listening environments. Findings highlight the importance of ensuring good SNRs for children with UHL.

In order to increase the through extraction of germanium in the technology of production of germanium concentrates, as well as finding ways to eliminate the accumulation of toxic waste, using modern techniques and equipment, the physical and chemical properties of waste chemical processing of germanium concentrates (OHGC) of two domestic enterprises were experimentally studied. The main components of OHGC are: sulphate hemihydrate CaSO4·0.5H2O and hypochlorite Ca(OCl)2 calcium. The moisture content of the sludge amounted to 30-50%. The content of germanium in the cakes of both companies is in the range of 0.20 and 0.27%, respectively, indicating the feasibility of recovery in the Ge. At the same time, the samples of cakes differ significantly in the content of impurities, which depends on the types of raw materials in the preparation of concentrates. Granulometric composition of cakes is characterized by high dispersion. With an average diameter of 12 µm, all particle sizes are in the range of 0.5-15 µm. The distribution of particle sizes is shifted in interval of 0-15 µm, and the area of the particles less than 3 µm is not more than 10%. The high dispersion of the cake is reflected in the specific surface area, which is 23.7 m2/g. Thermographic study found that the heating of the sample cake is accompanied by two endothermic effects of dehydration at 110 and 145-168 oC calcium sulfate and hypochloride semihydrate with correspond-ding weight loss of 13.1 and 12.9%. The presence of toxic impurities (arsenic, zinc and lead), as well as chlorine, presents significant challenges for the development of disposal technology with the extraction of germanium. Assuming that the undiscovered part of the germanium in the concentrate is compounds or solid solutions with silicon dioxide, an effective technology should include their reagent high temperature treatment.

Abstract Purpose This study aims to define the extent of additional surgical procedures after abdominal wall closure (AWC) in patients with gastroschisis (GS) and omphalocele (OC) with special focus on gastrointestinal related operations. Methods A retrospective chart review was performed including all operations in GS and OC patients in the first year after AWC (2010–2019). The risk for surgery was calculated using the one-year cumulative incidence (CI). Results 33 GS patients (18 simple GS, 15 complex) and 24 OC patients (12 without (= OCL), 12 OC patients with liver protrusion (= OCL +)) were eligible for analysis. 43 secondary operations (23 in GS, 20 in OC patients) occurred after a median time of 84 days (16–824) in GS and 114.5 days (12–4368) in OC. Patients with complex versus simple GS had a significantly higher risk of undergoing a secondary operation (one-year CI 64.3% vs. 24.4%; p = 0.05). 86.5% of surgical procedures in complex GS and 36.3% in OCL + were related to gastrointestinal complications. Complex GS had a significantly higher risk for GI-related surgery than simple GS. Bowel obstruction was a risk factor for surgery in complex GS (one-year CI 35.7%). Conclusion Complex GS and OCL + patients had the highest risk of undergoing secondary operations, especially those with gastrointestinal complications.

Abstract:
Abstract Corneal stiffness plays a critical role in shaping the cornea with respect to intraocular pressure and physical interventions. However, it remains difficult to measure the mechanical properties noninvasively. Here, we report the first measurement of shear modulus in human corneas in vivo using optical coherence elastography (OCE) based on surface elastic waves. In a pilot study of 12 healthy subjects aged between 25 and 67, the Rayleigh-wave speed was 7.86 ± 0.75 m/s, corresponding to a shear modulus of 72 ± 14 kPa. Our data reveal two unexpected trends: no correlation was found between the wave speed and IOP between 13–18 mmHg, and shear modulus decreases with age (− 0.32 ± 0.17 m/s per decade). We propose that shear stiffness is governed by the interfibrillar matrix, whereas tensile strength is dominated by collagen fibrils. Rayleigh-wave OCE may prove useful for clinical diagnosis, refractive surgeries, and treatment monitoring.

Abstract:
The project presents a proposal for the technology of production of the pressure filter casing used in hydraulic systems, which is made of non-alloy carbon steel 12 020. With the help of a literature study of cold extrusion and calculations, the production of the component was designed, which will take place in two operations. Before each operation, the surface treatment is performed by phosphating and soaping and inter-operational annealing must take place. Tool sets were designed for both operations and a press was selected from the company's machine park with a nominal force of 25,000 kN. Finally, a technical and economic evaluation was proved, which shows that the price of production of one piece is CZK 187. The turning point was set at 3 497 pieces per year.

The master thesis deals with the technology of surface hardening of steels by high power diode laser. The thesis is an experiment of surface hardening of steel 12 050 on various parameters of speed movement of the laser head and used power. At first, the work deals with the possible technology of surface hardening, industrial lasers and possible methods for measuring hardness. It describes the material used and the evaluation of the macrostructure and microstructure of the samples and evaluates the achievement of hardness, depending on the distance from the surface. The results are used to assess the suitability of the parameters during quenching.

The diploma thesis addressed the issue of laser surface hardening using dynamic oscillation of the laser beam. The theoretical part presents the hardening technology and suitable using of laser equipments. The fiber laser YLS 2000 was used in the experiment and the hardened material was steel 12 050, which is suitable for laser hardening. The influence of two selected parameters of the scan head on the resulting structure and hardness of hardening layers was examined. Based on the results, the choice of optimal parameters for identical conditions with the experiment was recommended.

The connection rod is made of 12 050 steel and it is part of crank mechanism in combustion engine. Production series was specified to 120 000 pcs. for year. Into technology procedure was implemented method of cross wedge rolling before die forging. The material for transverse cross wedge rolling was chosen 19 554 steel. Process of die forging was selected three operation in vertical forging press LZK 4000 with pressure force 40 MN made by company Šmeral Brno a.s. For die material was chosen 19 552 steel. And finally was carried out technical and economical evaluation of the forging production.

Abstract:
This paper presents a design of the production process for the clamping nut by cold extrusion. The nut, which is made of material ČSN 12 050, is used to clamp the injection nozzle to the injection system. Subsequently different variants of production were processed, from which the variant B was chosen. For slug a rod with diameter size of 24 mm with toleration f9 made by the company Ferona a. s was chosen. Calculations of process parameters were made for this variant. Based on the parameters the automatic forming machine TPD 630 with nominal force of 6 000 kN was chosen. For the selected machine, operational tools were designed for each forming operation, whose geometry is shown in the drawing documentation. Based on the technical and economical evaluation, the final price of the formed part was set at CZK 18,48.
