Background Obesity is a rapidly growing public health problem affecting many countries in the world because of its prevalence, cost, and impact on health. The prevalence of obesity worldwide according to WHO is generally more common in women (13%) than men (11%). From 1980 to 2013 the prevalence of overweight and obesity among housewives in the world continued to increase. The increase in obesity in housewives is caused by several factors, especially lifestyle changes including decreased physical activity and excess intake of high-energy foods. Obesity is a serious problem because it reduces the quality of life and causes death worldwide. Purpose This literature study aims to describe obesity that occurs in housewives around the world along with the risk factors, management and prevention of obesity. Discussion Housewives are one of the groups at high risk of obesity. Obesity in women is influenced by various factors where the majority can still be prevented from now on. Conclusion Overweight and obesity can be defined as excessive accumulation of body fat. Obesity causes multifactorial or can be influenced by various risk factors. Obesity is more experienced by women with supporting factors such as: age, genetics, education level, multiparity, ethnicity, socio-economics, physical activity, and lifestyle. The risk factors that cause obesity consist of multifactors so that the handling of obesity involves many sectors.

Latar Belakang Obesitas merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang berkembang pesat serta mempengaruhi banyak negara di dunia karena prevalensi, biaya, dan dampak terhadap kesehatan. Prevalensi obesitas menurut WHO umumnya terjadi pada wanita (sebanyak 13%) dibanding pria. Sejak tahun 1980 hingga 2013 prevalensi kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas pada ibu rumah tangga di dunia terus meningkat. Obesitas ibu rumah tangga diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor, terutama perubahan gaya hidup termasuk penurunan aktivitas fisik dan kelebihan asupan makanan berenergi tinggi. Obesitas merupakan permasalahan serius karena mengakibatkan pengurangan kualitas hidup serta menyebabkan kematian di seluruh dunia. Tujuan Studi literatur ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan obesitas yang terjadi pada ibu rumah tangga di seluruh dunia beserta faktor resiko, penatalaksanaan serta pencegahan obesitas melalui sumber kepustakaan. Diskusi Ibu rumah tangga merupakan salah satu kelompok beresiko tinggi terkena obesitas. Obesitas pada wanita dipengaruhi berbagai macam faktor di mana mayoritas masih dapat dicegah sejak sekarang. Kesimpulan Berat badan berlebih dan obesitas dapat didefinisikan sebagai akumulasi lemak tubuh secara berlebihan. Obesitas penyebabnya multifaktoral atau dapat dipengaruhi berbagai faktor risiko. Obesitas lebih banyak dialami oleh wanita dengan faktor pendukung seperti: usia, genetik, tingkat pendidikan, multiparitas, etnis, sosio-ekonomi, aktivitas fisik, dan gaya hidup. Faktor risiko yang menyebabkan obesitas terdiri dari multifactor sehingga penanganan dari obesitas melibatkan banyak sektor.

AbstractAsthma can be worsened by obesity because obesity can cause a decrease in the pulmonary compliance system, lung volume, and airway diameter. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain an ideal body weight to prevent obesity and the incidence of asthma.The purpose of this literature review study was to describe the correlation between obesity and the incidence of asthma.This research used the Google Scholar database, Garuda Portal and PUBMED. The keywords used in searching for articles on the Google Scholar database and Garuda Portal were “obesity” and “asma”, while on PUBMED ere “obesity and asthma”.The results of a literature review of 5 article showed that there was a correlation between obesity and the incidence of asthma.The conclusion from this study showed that the result of obesity and asthma was 52% and the result from the “non-overweighted but have asthma” respondent was 48%. The p-value was less than 0,005. It means that the p-value is smaller. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between obesity and the incidence of asthma. AbstrakAsma dapat diperburuk dengan adanya obesitas disamping itu obesitas dapat menyebabkan penurunan sistem komplians paru, volume paru dan diameter saluran napas. Oleh karena itu harus menjaga berat badan agar tetap ideal supaya tidak terjadi obesitas dan kejadian asma. Tujuan dari penelitian literature review ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan obesitas dengan kejadian asma.Penelitian ini menggunakan database Google Schoolar, Portal Garuda dan PUBMED. Untuk database Google Schoolar dan Portal Garuda menggunakan kata kunci “obesitas dan asma” sedangkan pada PUBMED menggunakan kata kunci “obesity and asthma”.Hasil literature review dari 5 artikel didapatkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara obesitas dengan kejadian asma.Simpulan dari penelitian literature review ini menunjukan hasil obesitas dan asma sebanyak 52% serta hasil tidak obesitas tetapi mengalami asma sebanyak 48% dan nilai p value menghasilkan < 0,005 yang bearti nilai p value lebih kecil. Jadi dapat disimpulkan adanya hubungan antara obesitas dengan kejadian asma. Kata kunci : Asma, Obesitas

Latar Belakang : Remaja yang obesitas dan stunting ditemukan mengalami penurunan kadar selenium di tubuh. Penurunan kadar selenium berdampak terhadap kejadian stress oksidatif yang merupakan prekursor berbagai masalah kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perbedaan kadar serum selenium pada remaja akhir usia 17-19 tahun berdasarkan status obesitas dan stunting.Metode : Penelitian cross-sectional ini dilakukan pada 88 remaja usia 17-19 tahun yang dibagi dalam 4 kelompok berdasarkan status obesitas dan stunting. Obesitas ditentukan dengan nilai WHtR >0.5 untuk perempuan dan >0.51 untuk laki-laki. Stunting ditentukan dengan TB/U >-2 SD. Kadar serum selenium ditentukan menggunakan ICP-OES. Perbedaan kadar serum selenium dianalisis dengan uji Annova.Hasil : Rerata kadar serum selenium pada kelompok stunted-obesity sebesar 277,5±96,4, stunted-non obesity 418±93,4, non stunted-obesity 304±64,9, dan non stunted-non obesity 330±112,2. Terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar serum selenium pada kelompok.Simpulan : Kadar serum selenium pada seluruh kelompok tergolong lebih tinggi dibanding nilai normal. Kelompok stunted-obesity dan non stunted-obesity memiliki kadar serum selenium yang lebih rendah dibanding kelompok non stunted-non obesity, sedangkan kelompok stunted-non obesity memiliki kadar selenium serum yang lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok non stunted-non obesity.

Relationship between Obesitiy, Age, Sex, and Blood Cholesterol Content Obesitiy is a health condition in which excess of body fat that accumulated in the fatty tissue, and it may have an adverse effect on health that leading to reduced the life expectancy and/or increased health problems. The research purpose was to see the correlation between obesity and age towards blood cholesterol level. 150 respondent samples were pasients who coming to Laboratorium of an hospital who examined their cholesterol level. The method of the research was descriptive method with focusing to the sectional cross, and the data were analysed with the Pearsion correlation method. To see the effect of obesity and age towards blood cholesterol increase used the double regression. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional ,yang selanjutnya data diolah dengan metode Pearsion correlation. Sedang untuk melihat pengaruh obesitas dan umur terhadap kenaikan kadar kolesterol darah dengan metode Regresi berganda. Background: Obesity is still a frequent health problem. This condition of obesity has even increased both globally and nationally. It is feared that the increase in obesity cases will increase other disease conditions such as colorectal cancer. Objectives: This article will provide an overview of the relationship between obesity and the incidence of colorectal cancer so as to provide a current, easy-to-understand picture of obesity and colorectal cancer. Methods: This article was written using the literature search method. Sources of information are taken from E-books, websites, and search engines. Information taken in the period 2013-2020. Discussion: It is suspected that obesity through a chronic inflammatory process will cause cell DNA damage so that it is at risk of triggering cancer. Until now, there are 13 types of cancer that are closely related to the incidence of obesity. This condition of obesity in addition to increasing a person's risk of developing colorectal cancer, it can also increase the risk of death in obese individuals with colorectal cancer. Conclusion: Obesity condition increases the risk of incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer cases. Pembahasan: Diduga obesitas dengan melalui proses inflamasi kronik akan mengakibatkan kerusakan DNA sel sehingga berisiko mencetuskan kanker. Sampai saat ini terdapat 13 jenis kanker yang berkaitan erat dengan kejadian obesitas. Kondisi obesitas ini selain akan meningkatkan risiko seseorang untuk mengalami kanker kolorektal, juga dapat meningkatkan risiko kematian pada individu yang mengalami kanker kolorektal dengan obesitas. Latar Belakang: Hipertensi menjadi faktor risiko dominan terjadinya penyakit jantung koroner, yaitu penyakit yang menjadi urutan pertama sebagai penyebab kematian di Indonesia. Prevalensi hipertensi di Indonesia berdasarkan pengukuran tekanan darah mencapai 34,11% pada tahun 2018. Peningkatan prevalensi dan tingginya risiko hipertensi terjadi pada orang dewasa muda yang mengalami obesitas, baik berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh maupun lingkar perut sebagai parameter. Tujuan: Menganalisis hubungan antara tipe-tipe obesitas dengan hipertensi pada usia dewasa muda di Indonesia. Metode: Desain studi cross-sectional dan menggunakan data sekunder dari Riset Kesehatan Dasar 2018. Subjek penelitian adalah individu berusia 25-44 tahun yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yaitu berusia 25-44 tahun, diukur tekanan darah sebanyak 3 kali pengukuran, memiliki kelengkapan data, dan tidak hamil (35.258 partisipan). Analisis univariat dan bivariat menggunakan chi-square dan selanjutnya uji regresi logistik sebagai analisis multivariat. Keduanya menggunakan α 0,05 dan Confident Interval 95%. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil regresi logistik, hipertensi memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan general obesity, abdominal obesity, combined obesity, usia, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, status pekerjaan, aktivitas fisik, status merokok, serta tingkat konsumsi buah dan sayur. Selain itu, peluang terjadinya hipertensi berdasarkan tipe obesitas dari yang terbesar adalah pada combined obesity, lalu general obesity dan abdominal obesity dengan adjusted odds ratio 3,50; 1,87; dan 1,79. Kesimpulan: General obesity, abdominal obesity, dan combined obesity memiliki hubungan dengan hipertensi pada usia dewasa muda di Indonesia. Indeks massa tubuh yang dikombinasikan dengan lingkar perut dapat menjadi parameter dari tiga tipe obesitas dan prediktor terjadinya hipertensi.

ABSTRACT One of the problems of nutrition and poor nutrition in adolescents is obesity. Obesity can occur in infants, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. Obesity can cause diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, osteoarthritis and even death. Several factors that influence the occurrence of obesity are physical activity, nutritional intake (fiber), economic factors. To determine the relationship between physical activity, fiber intake and economic status with the incidence of obesity in adolescents at SMPN 11 Banjarmasin City. Quantitative research with observational analytic cross sectional design. The sample of this study amounted to 209 adolescents. The sampling technique in this research is random sampling. Collecting data using a questionnaire, measuring height with a microtoise and weight with a digital scale. Data analysis using Chi Square test. Adolescents who are obese are 23 people (11.0%), some teenagers have inactive physical activity with obesity of 12.2%, fiber intake is not as recommended with obesity of 11.1% and high economic status with obesity of 12, 8%. The relationship between physical activity and the incidence of obesity (p = 0.422), the relationship between fiber intake and the incidence of obesity (p = 1,000), economic status and the incidence of obesity (p = 0.432). There is no relationship between physical activity, fiber intake and economic status with the incidence of obesity in adolescents at SMPN 11 Banjarmasin. Parents are expected to encourage motivation or invite children to do physical exercise by exercising 3-5 times a week. Organize meals in a day such as reducing fast food and eating foods that are high in fiber and low in calories and can calculate pocket money with children's needs at school. Keywords: Economic Status, Fiber Intake, Obesity, Physical Activity, Teenager ABSTRAK Salah satu permasalahan gizi dan nutrisi yang kurang baik pada remaja adalah obesitas. Obesitas bisa terjadi pada bayi, anak-anak, remaja, dewasa serta lanjut usia. Obesitas dapat menyebabkan penyakit seperti kardiovaskuler, diabetes mellitus, osteoartritis hingga kematian. Beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya obesitas yaitu aktivitas fisik, asupan gizi (serat), faktor ekonomi. Mengetahui adanya hubungan aktivitas fisik, asupan serat dan status ekonomi dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja di SMPN 11 Kota Banjarmasin. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan analitik observasional desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 209 remaja. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, pengukuran tinggi badan dengan microtoise dan berat badan dengan timbangan digital. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi Square. Remaja yang mengalami obesitas sebanyak 23 orang (11,0%), sebagian remaja memiliki aktivitas fisik tidak aktif dengan obesitas sebesar 12,2%, asupan serat tidak sesuai anjuran dengan obesitas sebesar 11,1% dan status ekonomi tinggi dengan obesitas sebesar 12,8%. Hubungan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas (p = 0,422), hubungan asupan serat dengan kejadian obesitas (p = 1,000), status ekonomi dengan kejadian obesitas (p = 0,432). Tidak ada hubungan aktivitas fisik, asupan serat dan status ekonomi dengan kejadian obesitas pada remaja di SMPN 11 Banjarmasin. Orang tua diharapkan mendorong untuk menumbuhkan motivasi atau mengajak anak latihan fisik dengan berolahraga 3-5x dalam seminggu. Mengatur makanan dalam sehari seperti mengurangi makanan cepat saji dan mengonsumsi makanan yang tinggi serat rendah kalori serta dapat memperhitungkan uang saku dengan keperluan anak di sekolah. Kegemukan dan obesitas cenderung meningkat dari masa ke masa. Ini dapat menjadi faktor risiko terjadinya berbagai penyakit kronis seperti penyakit jantung, diabetes mellitus, ginjal, hipertensi, gout, dan penyakit lainnya. Penyebabnya banyak faktor diantaranya pengetahuan gizi, pola makan dan aktivitas fisik. Keadaan ini dapat dialami oleh siapa saja apalagi masih dimasa pandemi Covid-19. Oleh karena itu Program Studi Gizi Poltenik Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Gorontalo melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Pinogu Kecamatan Pinogu Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Kebaruan kegiatan ini adalah melakukan kemitraan dalam pencegahan obesitas di masa pandemic Covid-19. Tujuan kegiatan yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan para kader gizi tentang kegemukan dan obesitas, sehingga dapat mengimplementasikan pengetahuannya ke dalam hidup sehari-hari serta menyampaikan kepada masyarakat di wilayahnya. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yaitu penyuluhan dalam bentuk presentasi dan diskusi tentang obesitas berbasis lokal, dengan materi: pengertian obesitas, penyebab obesitas, dampak obesitas, pencegahan dan penaatalaksanaan obesitas berdasarkan potensi lokal. Hasil penyuluhan, peserta penyuluhan yang terdiri para kader gizi mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang obesitas dan makanan yang seimbang berbasis lokal. Kesimpulan strategis untuk mencegah obesitas dimasa pendemi covid-19 dibutuhkan kemitraan dan dukungan kegiatan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan diskusi yang berkesinambungan.Kata kunci: Desa Pinogu; Kemitraan; Obesitas; Penyuluhan AbstractOverweight and obesity tend to increase over time. Therefore, the Nutrition Study Program the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry Health of Gorontalo implement community dedication in Pinogu Village, Pinogu District, Bone Bolango Regency. The purpose this activities to increase the knowledge of nutrition cadres about overweight and obesity, hence they can implement their knowledge in daily life and deliver to the community in their area. The method used is counseling in the form of presentations and discussions on local-based obesity, learning material: the meaning of obesity, causes obesity, impact of obesity, management and prevention obesity based on local potential. Maternal obesity and genetic background can affect the development of obesity and diabetes in offspring. Here we used selected strains of rats resistant (DR) vs. susceptible to development of diet-induced obesity (DIO) on high-energy (HE) diets to assess this issue. DR and DIO dams were fed either Chow or HE diet for 4 wk. DIO HE diet-fed dams and additional DR rats fed a palatable liquid diet (Ensure) became more obese and hyperinsulinemic than the other groups. During lactation, all dams were fed their respective diets, and offspring were fed Chow from weaning to 16 wk of age. All offspring of DIO dams gained more weight and had heavier retroperitoneal fat pads and higher leptin levels than DR progeny, but offspring of the more obese DIO HE dams had heavier fat pads and higher glucose levels than DIO Chow offspring. After 4 wk on HE diet, all DIO offspring gained more weight and had heavier total adipose depots and higher insulin and leptin levels than DR offspring. Offspring of DIO HE dams also gained more weight and had heavier fat depots and higher leptin levels than DIO Chow offspring. Therefore maternal obesity and hyperinsulinemia were associated with increased obesity in those offspring already genetically predisposed to become obese.

Abstract: Obesity is well known as an independent risk factor for chronic kidney disease, thus assessment of renal function is more essential in obese individuals. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is generally accepted as the best overall index of kidney function. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of obesity on glomerular filtration rate in children. This was a literature review study. The literature search was performed by using PubMed and Google Scholar databases with “Obesity AND Glomerular Filtration Rate AND Children” as its keywords. After going through the process of searching and filtering the literatures based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, the results obtained 10 literatures to be reviewed. The literatures showed that in the short to medium terms of the duration of obesity, GFR was increased. A reduction in GFR levels then could be observed if obesity persists over time. Also, in obese children, the higher the body mass index (BMI), the lower the GFR level. In conclusion, childhood obesity affects GFR level, whereas GFR level is reduced along with the increasing duration of obesity and BMI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh obesitas terhadap LFG pada anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode literature review. Pencarian literatur dilakukan dengan menggunakan basis data PubMed dan Google Scholar dengan “Obesity AND Glomerular Filtration Rate AND Children” sebagai kata kunci. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan 10 literatur yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, yang kemudian dilakukan review. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa peningkatan LFG (hiperfiltrasi) terjadi pada awal masa obesitas, diikuti dengan penurunan LFG seiring bertambahnya durasi obesitas. Selain itu, pada anak dengan obesitas didapatkan bahwa semakin tinggi indeks massa tubuh (IMT), maka LFG semakin rendah. Simpulan penelitian ini ialah obesitas memengaruhi LFG pada anak, yaitu nilai LFG menurun seiring dengan bertambahnya durasi obesitas dan IMT. Latar belakang: Stunted masih menjadi masalah utama di Indonesia. Individu stunted berisiko lebih tinggi mengalami obesitas dan penyakit kardiovaskular dibanding non-stunted. Obesitas abdominal merupakan salah satu faktor risiko penyakit kardiovaskular melalui reaksi inflamasi. High sensitivity c-reactive protein (Hs-CRP) adalah biomarker yang sensitif untuk mendeteksi reaksi inflamasi di dalam tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan kadar Hs-CRP pada remaja stunted obesity dan non-stunted obesity di Kota Semarang.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan crossectional yang dilakukan pada remaja usia 12-17 tahun yang berada di SMP/MTs Kota Semarang mencakup wilayah urban dan suburban. Total sampel penelitian sebanyak 40 remaja dipilih dengan metode cluster random sampling. Penentuan status gizi sampel diukur berdasarkan tinggi badan menurut umur dan lingkar pinggang menurut umur. Pengukuran kadar Hs-CRP dilakukan dengan metode ELISA. Analisis data menggunakan uji t tidak berpasangan.Hasil: Angka kejadian obesitas abdominal dan stunted obesity sebesar 30% dan 1.45%. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran kadar Hs-CRP, terdapat 18(45%) remaja memiliki risiko tinggi penyakit kardiovaskular. Rerata kadar HS-CRP kelompok stunted obesity (2.92±2.74) lebih kecil dibanding kelompok non-stunted obesity (4.37±3.49) dimana tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna. Tingkat obesitas remaja memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kadar Hs-CRP (p = 0.04).Kesimpulan: Tidak ditemukan perbedaan kadar c-reactive protein yang signifikan antara kelompok stunted obesity dan non-stunted obesity.

Objective: This study aimed to analyze the differences of intake level and physical activity on women (20-54 years) with central and non central obesity. Methods: This study was an observational analytic comparative using cross sectional design, 58 women (29 women with central obesity and 29 women with non-central obesity) 20-54 years were selected using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by measuring weight, height, abdominal circumference, 2x24 hours recall for intake level, and interview using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ). Results: the results showed that there was differences in intake level of energy (p=0.000), intake level of carbohydrate (p=0.001), intake level of protein (0.000), intake level of fat (p=0.000), and physical activity (0.041) between women with central obesity and non central. Meanwhile, there was no difference in intake level of fiber (p=0.076) between women with central and non central obesity. Conclusion: Women with central obesity had higher intake of energy, carbohydrate, protein, and fat compared to women with non central obesity. Meanwhile, fiber intake and physical activity were low in women with central obesity. So, women with central obesity were needed to improve energy, carbohydrate, protein, and fat intake as recommended in the AKG and increased physical activity at least three times a week to reduce abdominal fat.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Kejadian obesitas sentral di Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan. Beberapa tahun terakhir angka obesitas di Indonesia cenderung meningkat. Obesitas terjadi akibat ketidakseimbangan antara asupan dan output energi dalam jangka waktu cukup lama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor risiko kejadian obesitas pada pekerja on shore di perusahaan minyak dan gas. Desain penelitian ini adalah studi cross sectional. Sampel yang diteliti adalah seluruh pekerja on shore (laki-laki maupun perempuan) berusia 35 – 55 tahun yang sesuai dan memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi yang telah ditetapkan (n = 378). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi obesitas (IMT ³ 25 kg/m2) pada pekerja on-shore sebesar 49,5%. Variabel umur, tingkat pendidikan, status pegawai, asupan energi, karbohidrat, dan serat memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian obesitas (nilai p < 0,05). Faktor yang paling dominan berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas adalah tingkatpendidikan (OR = 2,85; 95%CI = 1,240 – 6,502). Tingginya prevalensi obesitas pada pekerja memerlukan perhatian yang lebih serius dari pihak perusahaan dalam menanggulangi masalah obesitas melalui upaya peningkatan program komunikasi, informasi, dan edukasi gizi yang lebih terarah dan terprogram serta perlu dilakukan sosialisasi untuk memantauberat badan dan lingkar pinggang-panggul secara rutin untuk mencegah timbulnya penyakit jantung koroner.Kata kunci: Obesitas, pekerja, asupan energiAbstractIn the last few years the incidence of obesity in Indonesia tends to increase. Obesity is caused by an imbalance between energy intake and output in a long term. The purpose of this study was to identify risk factors in the incidence of obesity of the workers on-shore oil and gas companies. This researchdesigned by cross sectional study.The subject of this research was on shore workers of oil and gas company (male and female) aged 35 – 55 years old in East Kalimantan and were eligible for inclusion and exclusion criteria (n = 378). The results showed that the prevalence of obesity of on-shore workers was as high as 49.5% (BMI ³ 25 kg/m2). Age, level of education, employement status, energy, carbohydrate, and fiber intake were associated with obesity (p value < 0,05). The most dominant factor associated with obesity was level of education (OR = 2,85; 95%CI = 1,240 - 6,502). The high prevalence of obesity in the workers need more serious attention from the company in overcoming the problem of obesity, by enhancing the EIC program with more focused and sustainable, and need to socialize monitoring of body weight and waist-hip circumference regularly to prevent coronary heart disease.Key words: Obesity, workers, energy intake

Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the highest cause of death in the world. Obesity is one of the risk factors for CHD. Purpose: A literature review to examine the effect of obesity with indicators of waist-to-hip ratio, cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL on CHD in adults. Methods: Literature review study based on journals from 2016 to 2021 which were obtained from the PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases with the keywords obesity, coronary heart disease, and adults. Results: This literature study found 10 articles that matched the inclusion and exclusion criteria. From the article review, it is known that there are characteristics of obesity in adults, causes of obesity, coronary heart disease, and the relationship between CHD and obesity. Conclusion: Obesity with indicators of waist circumference to hip ratio, cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL have an effect on the incidence of CHD in adults by looking at the indicators of waist-to-hip ratio, cholesterol levels, and fat levels.Latar Belakang: Penyakit jantung koroner (PJK) merupakan penyebab kematian tertinggi di dunia. Obesitas menjadi salah satu faktor risiko PJK. Tujuan: Literatur review untuk mengkaji efek obesitas dengan indikator dengan indikator rasio lingkar pinggang panggul, kolesterol, trigliserida dan LDL terhadap PJK pada orang dewasa. Metode: Studi literature review berdasarkan jurnal-jurnal pada tahun 2016 sampai tahun 2021 yang telah diperoleh dari database PubMed, ScienceDirect, dan Google Cendekia dengan kata kunci obesitas, penyakit jantung koroner, dan dewasa. Dari tinjauan artikel di ketahui terdapat karakteristik obesitas pada orang dewasa, penyebab obesitas, penyakit jantung koroner, dan hubungan PJK dengan obesitas. Simpulan: Obesitas dengan Indikator Rasio Lingkar Pinggang Panggul, Kolesterol, Trigliserida dan LDL berpengaruh terhadap kejadian PJK pada orang dewasa dengan melihat indikator rasio lingkar pinggang panggul, kadar kolesterol, dan kadar lemak.

Latar belakang: Stunted menjadi permasalahan gizi di Indonesia. Individu stunted memiliki risiko 3,4 kali untuk menjadi obesitas dibanding individu non-stunted. Remaja dengan stunted obesity memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap sindrom metabolik dan gangguan metabolik lainnya. Rasio trigliserida/High Density Lipoprotein-Cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) dapat mengidentifikasi individu dengan risiko sindrom metabolik dan gangguan kardiometabolik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rasio TG/HDL-C pada remaja stunted obesity dan non-stunted obesity di Kota Semarang.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan cross sectional pada 2 kelompok: remaja stunted obesity dan non-stunted obesity. Total subjek yaitu 2299 remaja usia 15-18 tahun dengan skrining yang dilakukan secara random terhadap 4 sekolah dari area urban dan suburban di Kota Semarang. Penentuan status gizi berdasarkan tinggi badan menurut umur, Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) menurut umur, dan lingkar pinggang. Pengukuran kadar trigliserida dan HDL-C menggunakan metode enzimatik kolorimetri. Analisis data menggunakan uji t independen.Hasil: Angka kejadian obesitas pada remaja sebesar 8,52%, terdiri dari stunted obesity (1,96%) dan non-stunted obesity (6,57%). Sebanyak 26,93% remaja memiliki kadar trigliserida tinggi dan 75,00% remaja memiliki kadar HDL-C rendah. Ditemukan 80,80% remaja dengan rasio TG/HDL-C ≥1,70. Rerata kadar trigliserida, HDL-C, dan rasio TG/HDL-C pada remaja stunted obesity lebih tinggi dari kelompok remaja non-stunted obesity dimana tidak bermakna. Simpulan: Rerata rasio TG/HDL-C pada kelompok remaja stunted obesity lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok remaja non-stunted obesity (p=0,745)

ABSTRAK Obesitas termasuk salah satu masalah kesehatan yang membuat risau kalangan masyarakat. Peningkatan prevalensi obesitas terjadi di Negara maju dan berkembang. Obesitas juga berisiko pada remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan penyediaan program Sistem Informasi Pemantauan Obesitas Remaja (SIFORTASIMA) yang berpihak pada remaja, murah, mudah digunakan, aman dan aman untuk diakses setiap waktu diharapkan mampu menjawab kebutuhan remaja di sekolah pada saat ini. SIFORTASIMA sebagai media promosi pemantauan obesitas yang merupakan program PKM dari, oleh, dan untuk remaja di sekolah. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah dengan memberikan pendidikn kesehatan dan pelatihan tentang monitoring mandiri menggunakan Sistem Informasi Pemantauan Obesitas Remaja (SIFORTASIMA) pada remaja. Kegiatan ini memberikan hasil berupa peningkatan pengetahuan pada remaja sasarannya pada sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan proses pendidikan kesehatan dan pelatihan berkaitan dengan penggunaan aplikasi SIFORTASIMA. Disarankan supaya remaja dapat menggunakan aplikasi dengan teratur supaya dapat mengendalikan dan mencegah terjadinya obesitas. Namun pihak orang tua dan guru tetap harus melakukan pemantauan dalam penggunaan aplikasi ini. The increasing prevalence of obesity occurs in both developed and developing countries. Obesity is also a risk in adolescents. Community service activities are carried out by providing the Adolescent Obesity Monitoring Information System (SIFORTASIMA) program that is pro-adolescent, inexpensive, easy to use, safe and secure to be accessed at any time. SIFORTASIMA as a promotional media for obesity monitoring which is a PKM program from, by, and for teenagers in schools. The method used in this community service activity is to provide health education and training on independent monitoring using the Adolescent Obesity Monitoring Information System (SIFORTASIMA) in adolescents. This activity resulted in an increase in knowledge of the target youth before and after the process of health education and training related to the use of the SIFORTASIMA application. It is recommended that adolescents can use the application regularly in order to control and prevent obesity. However, parents and teachers still have to monitor the use of this application. Background: Abdominal obesity is one of the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases. Obesity is caused by energy imbalance. Women have higher risk of abdominal obesity than men. Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the association between age, stress level, macronutrient intake with abdominal obesity among housewives in Sidotopo, Surabaya. Method: This cross sectional study was conducted between May and July of 2018 in Kelurahan Sidotopo, Kecamatan Semampir, Kota Surabaya. The sample was 46 housewives aged between 20 and 49 years which was selected using multistage random sampling method. The association between age, stress level, and macronutrient intake with abdominal obesity was analysed using Pearson correlation and logistic regression test with a significant level of 0.05. Results:This study showed that 52.17% of housewives had abdominal obesity. Most of housewives were Javanese and Maduranes between the ages of 30-39. This study showed the significant association between age (p=0.001) and stress level (p=0.017) with abdominal obesity. Meanwhile, energy intake (p=0.062), carbohydrate intake (p=0.300), protein intake (p=0.147), fat intake (p=0.188), and dietary fiber intake (p=0.062) did not show significant association. Conclusion: Age and stress level associated with abdominal obesity among housewives in Sidotopo. Hasil: Sebesar 52,17% responden mengalami obesitas abdominal. Sebagian besar responden berusia 30-39 tahun dimana berasal dari etnis Jawa dan Madura. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa obesitas abdominal berhubungan signifikan dengan usia (p=0,001) dan stres (p=0,017). Sebaliknya, asupan energi (p=0,234), karbohidrat (p=0,300), protein (p=0,147), lemak (p=0,188), dan asupan serat (p=0,062) tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan kejadian obesitas abdominal.Kesimpulan: Usia dan tingkat stres berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas abdominal pada ibu rumah tangga di Kelurahan Sidotopo. Semakin tinggi usia dan tingkat stres, maka resiko terjadinya obesitas abdominal akan semakin tinggi.

Background: Obesity is abnormal fat accumulation or excess fat which can pose a risk of health problems. In 2016 the prevalence of obesity in children and adolescents aged 5-19 years was more than 340 million. Age, gender, genetics, diet, and social economic status are risk factors for obesity. This study aims to knowing the incidence of obesity in elementary school-age children. Methods: This research was an descriptive with a cross sectional design. The population is 197 elementary school students who are in the Telanaipura District, Jambi City and the sample is taken using the multistage sampling method. The instrument of this study was measuring height and weight and filling out a questionnaire. Results: The results of this study found that the most obesity occurred at the age of 9 years, in male sex, in children whose parents had a history of obesity, in children whose parents had an income above the UMP, and in children who consumed different types of food. Conclusion: Characteristics of the most obese respondents at the age of 9 years, male sex, parents have a history of obesity, parents have an income above the UMP, and do not consume various types of food.

Latar Belakang: Obesitas merupakan akumulasi lemak yang abnormal atau kelebihan lemak yang dapat menimbulkan risiko gangguan kesehatan. Pada tahun 2016 prevalensi obesitas pada anak-anak dan remaja berusia 5-19 tahun yaitu lebih dari 340 juta. Usia, jenis kelamin, genetik, pola makan, dan status ekonomi sosial merupakan faktor risiko terjadinya obesitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kejadian obesitas pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasinya adalah 197 siswa sekolah dasar yang berada di Kecamatan Telanaipura Kota Jambi dan pengambilan sampel dengan metode multistage sampling. intstrumen penelitian ini dengan pengukuran tinggi badan serta berat badan dan pengisian kuesioner.. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan obesitas terbanyak terjadi pada usia 9 tahun, pada jenis kelamin laki-laki, pada anak yang orang tuanya memiliki riwayat obesitas, pada anak yang orang tuanya memiliki pendapatan di atas UMP, dan pada anak yang mengkonsumsi jenis makanan tidak beragam. Kesimpulan: Karakteristik responden obesitas terbanyak pada usia 9 tahun, jenis kelamin laki-laki, orang tua memiliki riwayat obesitas, orang tua memiliki pendapatan di atas UMP, dan mengkonsumi jenis makanan tidak beragam.

Obesity and overweight are two different things, but both of them show the presence of excess fat accumulation in the body which is indicated by an increase in body mass index (BMI) above normal as measured using the formula of body weight (Kg) divided by height (m²). The incidence of obesity in Malahayati University students in 2019 with data on obese students as many as 60 (34%) from 175 students with research results there is a relationship between sleep patterns and junk food on the obesity level of Malahayati University students in Bandar Lampung.Purpose: Known factors related to obesity during the Covid-19 pandemic to the incidence of obesity in students at the Faculty of Medicine, Malahayati University, Bandar Lampung.Method: type of quantitative research with cross sectional approach design. The sampling technique used was the quota sampling technique. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Nursing Science Study Program who had a history of obesity with a total of 175 students at Malahayati University, Bandar Lampung. Measurement using a questionnaire and analyzing data using chi-square.Results: Of the chi square test show that the obesity factors that are significantly related and become a factor in the occurrence of obesity in students are the genetic factor of the student's father (p-value = 0.42; OR = 2.444); mother (p-value = 0.000; OR = 28,000); consumption of fast food (p-value = 0.000; OR = 21,500); physical activity (p-value = 0.000; OR = 2,032). Students who have obese parents have a higher risk of obesity, frequent fast food consumption and light physical activity factors are 3 times more likely to be at risk of obesity than students who do moderate physical activity.Conclusion: There is a relationship between genetic factors, diet and physical activity of students with the incidence of obesity in students. ABSTRACT Obesity is a nutritional disease that occurs at all ages including adolescents and is associated with factors that cause obesity such as family history, diet and use of gadgets. In 2020, the prevalence of obesity among adolescents in the world was 38.3 million. While in Indonesia, in 2020 there were 2 million obese adolescents and in South Kalimantan in 2018 there were 29.21%. This study aims to determine the correlation between genetics, dietary habits and use of gadgets with obesity levels in adolescents in state junior high school 11 Banjarmasin. This was a quantitative study with analytical observational cross-sectional study design. The population of this study was 438 students and a sample of 209 students with stratified random sampling technique. The data was collected using questionnaire which was including questions of height and weight measurements. The data was analyzed using the chi-square test. The incidence of obesity in adolescents experienced by 23 respondents and in family history there are 45%, the highest eating pattern is regular as much as 83.7% and almost all respondents use gadgets with high duration as much as 96.7% so that the p value >0.05 where the three variables include a family history of obesity 0.608, eating patterns with the incidence of obesity 1,000 and the use of gadgets with the incidence of obesity 0,563. There is no relationship between family history, diet and use of gadgets with the incidence of obesity in adolescents at SMP Negeri 11 Banjarmasin due to another phenomenon, namely there are 124 respondents who experience malnutrition. The writing of this article was carried out because the author's aim was to find out whether there was a relationship between physical activity and diet on obesity in elementary school students. Methods: The author collects articles using the Google Scholar database. The keywords used are physical activity on obesity, diet on obesity, and the effect of physical activity on obesity, diet. Vulnerable years are from 2011 to 2020. The article above uses a correlational research design. Some of the articles reviewed have been indexed by Synta S1-S6 or Scimago Q1-Q4. Results: The author found 23 articles with 20 articles published in national journals and 3 international journals. The results of a review conducted on several articles above show that there is a significant relationship between physical activity, diet, and obesity. Conclusion: After reviewing the article, the author found a relationship between physical activity and diet on obesity in elementary school-aged children. The author also found that there are many other causes that influence childhood obesity including genetic factors, environmental factors, and media.

Metode: Penulis mengumpulkan artikel menggunakan database Google Scholar. Kata kunci yang digunakan aktivitas fisik terhadap obesitas, pola makan terhadap obesitas, dan effect physical activity on obesity, diet. Rentan tahun yaitu mulai dari tahun 2011 hingga tahun 2020. Artikel diatas menggunakan desain penelitian korelasional. Dari beberapa artikel yang direview sebagian sudah terindeks sinta S1-S6 atau scimago Q1-Q4. Hasil: Penulis menemukan 23 artikel dengan 20 artikel terbitan jurnal nasional dan 3 jurnal internasional. Hasil review yang dilakukan terhadap beberapa artikel diatas bahwa menunjukkan terhadap hubungan yang signifikan antara aktivitas fisik, pola makan dengan obesitas. Kesimpulan: Setelah melakukan proses review artikel penulis menemukan adanya hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan pola makan terhadap obesitas anak usia sekolah dasar. Prevalensi obesitas pada anak serta komplikasinya cenderung mengalami peningkatan. Salah satu komplikasi obesitas adalah kelainan ginjal yang disebut obesity-related renal injury atau gangguan ginjal terkait obesitas. Banyak faktor yang berperan dalam terjadinya obesity-related renal injury. Overweight atau obesitas berhubungan erat dengan berbagai faktor risiko penyakit ginjal kronik yaitu hiperinsulinemia, gangguan metabolisme glukosa, hipertensi, hiperlipidemia, dan sindrom metabolik. Di antara semua faktor tersebut, faktor yang paling berperan antara obesitas dan kerusakan ginjal adalah berkurangnya sensitivitas insulin. Manifestasi klinis obesity related renal injury biasanya berupa proteinuria bermakna tanpa edema, albumin plasma sedikit menurun, dan kolesterol normal atau sedikit meningkat. Salah satu tata laksana obesity-related renal injury adalah penurunan berat badan. Pengurangan asupan diet dan penurunan berat badan dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya lesi glomerulosklerosis fokal segmental. Terapi lainnya adalah pemberian obat yang memiliki efek negatif terhadap sistem renin-angiotensin seperti inhibitor angiotensin-converting-enzyme dan angitensin receptor blocker. Dapat juga diberikan obat yang meningkatkan sensitivitas insulin. Golongan statin mempunyai peranan dalam melindungi ginjal. The objective of this article was to describe obesity mechanisms and why obesity and meal properties during a circadian phase are interrelated. Obesity remains a major challenge globally. The increasing rates of obesity and diabetes indicate that current perspectives on obesity etiology are not adequately explanatory. The common view on obesity is energy balance model (EBM), suggesting that energy is stored as fat when overconsumed. However, since EBM is driven by physics, biochemical pathways of fat storage are overlooked. Insulin is secreted by increased blood glucose which drives positive energy balance and thus fat deposition. Such pathways present an innovative concept known as carbohydrate insulin model (CIM). This model might offer a more mechanistic perception into obesity development. Considering that glucose metabolism possesses circadian rhythmicity, CIM and chrono-nutrition may be interconnected. Preventing glycemic load through limiting carbohydrate-rich diets intake and care of meal timing would benefit obesity and diabetes prevention strategies. In conclusion, energy source and chrono-nutrition should be contemplated together as key factors influencing energy partitioning and fat deposition in the modern human.

The World Health Organization defines obesity as an abnormal or excessive accumulation of fat that is harmful to health. Obesity and overweight have a negative effect not only on general health, but also on reproductive health. Obesity is associated with reduced fertility, more frequent pregnancy losses and other pregnancy complications. Due to an obesity pandemic, an increasing proportion of women seeking medical help for infertility will be overweight or obese. Obesity is involved in the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), approximately 40–70% of PCOS patients are overweight or obese. The risk of miscarriage is increased in obese women who become pregnant after in vitro fertilisation, regardless of whether their own oocytes or donated oocytes are used. In men, the link between obesity and reduced fertility is less well-studied than in women. Mechanisms by which obesity may affect spermatogenesis include thermal effects, hyperestrogenism, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, diabetes mellitus, sexual dysfunction, and sperm epigenetic disorders. Obesity in both women and men negatively affects the results of assisted reproduction. Overweight or obese women should be informed about the overall health and obstetric risks and about the lower success rate of infertility treatment with assisted reproduction methods. I am sometimes referred to as a medicine/geriatric specialist, but I credit geriatricians with a lot more smarts with the elderly (osteoporosis, cognitive decline, movement limitations, social interaction) than I do. But I might call myself an internal medicine/metabolic syndrome doctor, given the size and shape of my referral population. In Roman times, it was a sign of success and wealth to be overweight. I remember seeing a statue on top of a sarcophagus (of the occupant), who in life was clearly obese. It was also a defence against disease and famine, which were unpredictable in occurrence and life-threatening in severity. Intermittent war, blight, and social upheaval made the lot of our ancestors quite grim.

Steatohepatitis is hepatic steatosis with inflammation and, in some cases, hepatocyte balloon degeneration and fibrosis [1]. Steatohepatitis is a form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which includes a wide range of conditions: from non-alcoholic steatosis (NAS) -fat deposition in the liver of more than 5% of the parenchymal mass without signs of damage to hepatocytes to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), which progresses with development fibrosis, cirrhosis and, in some patients, hepatocellular carcinoma [1]. The prevalence of steatohepatitis in the pediatric population, according to various sources, varies greatly. Thus, the recommendations of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists and Nutritionists (NASPGHAN) indicate that hypertransaminasemia occurs in 29-38% of obese children aged 2-4 years [1]. According to A. Sahota et al. [2], NASH was found in 12% of obese and overweight children. The joint recommendations for the diagnosis, treatment and preventionof obesity in children and adolescents of the Russian Association of Endocrinologists, the Russian Society for the Prevention of Non-Infectious Diseases, and the Association of Pediatric Cardiologists of Russia note that NASH is diagnosed in 12-26% of obese children and adolescents [3]. Obesity and overweight currently affect 25-30% of school-age children [4]. The situation is almost the same for preschool children. The COSI (Childhood Obesity Surveillance Initiative) study, conducted under the WHO programin Moscow in 2017-2018, summing up the dynamics of body weight for the entire preschool period, showed that among children aged 7 years, 27% of boys were overweight and 22% of girls, and obesity -in 10 and 6%, respectively [5]. Another Russian study assessing the physical development of children of middle and school age [6] also demonstrated a significant prevalence of obesity and overweight in this age group in Russian regions. Thus, at 11 years of age, obesity in boys was recorded in 18.6% of cases, ingirls -in 9.2%, and excess body weight -in 15.4 and 14.3%, respectively. At the age of 15, obesity was detected in 10% of cases among boys, in 3.6% of girls, and overweight in 11.5 and 10.5% of cases, respectively [6]. Based on these data, it can be assumed that the incidence of NASH in the pediatric population varies from 0.5 to 3%. It should be noted that the prevalence of obesity, and with it NAFLD, including NASH, is increasing throughout the world due to modern negative trends in the diet and physical activity of children [7].

Background: Based on the results of Riskesdas Jambi Province in 2018, Jambi City has the fourth highest prevalence of childhood obesity out of 34 provinces in Indonesia at 11.4%. The existence of an unbalanced diet can cause an energy imbalance in the body which causes obesity. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between diet and the incidence of childhood obesity in children. SD Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between dietary habits and the incidence of childhood obesity in elementary school children in Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi. Methods: This research is a type of analytical research using a cross-sectional design. Data analysis was carried out to test the hypothesis by using the Chi-Square test. Results: there are many obesity cases (54.3%) and there are many unbalanced eating habits (57.6%). The results of the statistical analysis of eating habits (p-value 0.001) with obesity in children show a strong relationship. Conclusion: The results of the statistical analysis of eating patterns (p-value 0.001) with obesity in children show a strong relationship.

Latar belakang: Berdasarkan hasil Riskesdas Provinsi Jambi tahun 2018, Kota Jambi menduduki prevalensi obesitas anak tertingi keempat dari 34 provinsi di Indonesia sebesar 11,4%. Adanya pola makan yang tidak seimbang dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan energi dalam tubuh yang menimbulkan obesitas.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola makan dengan kejadian obesitas anak pada anak SD Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola makan dengan kejadian obesitas anak pada anak SD Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian analitik dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Analisis data dilakukan untuk menguji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji Chi- Square. Hasil: Ditemukan banyak kejadian obesitas (54,3%) dan banyak pola makan tidak seimbang (57,6%). Hasil analisis statistik pola makan (p-value 0,001) dengan obesitas pada anak menunjukan hubungan yang kuat. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara pola makan dengan kejadian obesitas anak pada anak SD Diniyyah Al-Azhar Jambi.

Background: Obesity, central obesity, and visceral fat is an excessive fat that can release various types of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, stroke and can increase the risk of bone damage in the elderly. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors of obesity, central obesity, and visceral fat in elderly women. Methods:This was an observational analytic study with cross sectional design. The samples of the study were 81 elderly women registered as member of Posyandu Lansia in the working area of Puskesmas Jagir, Wonokromo, Surabaya. The data collected using 3 times 24-hour food recall, anthropometry (body weight, body height, and waist circumference), visceral fat using Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA), and questionnaire related to subject’s characteristic. The data were analyzed using logistic regression analysis. Results: The results showed that the mean age of the subjects were 67.12±5.97 years old. Most of the subjects have low education (71.6%) and 87.7% of subjects didn’t work. The mean value of daily energy intake was 1074.31±298.67 kcal. There were 34.6% obese subjects, only 17.3% subjects didn’t experience central obesity, and 28.4% of subjects had excess body visceral fat. The statistical test showed significant correlation between age with obesi (p-value=0.042), age with central obesity (p-value=0.009) but age with visceral fat had no significant correlation (p-value=0.163). Daily food intake, education, and occupation did not show significant correlation with obesity, central obesity, or visceral fat (p-value>0.05). Conclusions: The risk for obesity and central obesity was decreased with aging in elderly but not with visceral fat.ABSTRAKLatar Belakang: Obesitas, obesitas sentral, dan lemak viseral merupakan penumpukan lemak tubuh yang berlebihan dan berisiko untuk menimbulkan berbagai penyakit degeneratif seperti jantung iskemi dan stroke serta dapat meningkatkan risiko kerusakan tulang pada lansia. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor risiko obesitas, obesitas sentral, dan kelebihan lemak viseral pada lansia wanita.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah 81 lansia wanita yang menjadi anggota posyandu lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Jagir, Wonokromo, Surabaya. Pengumpulan data menggunakan food recall 3 x 24 jam, antropometri (berat badan, tinggi badan, dan lingkar perut), lemak viseral menggunakan Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA), serta kuesioner terkait data diri subjek. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi logistik.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menujukkan rata-rata usia subjek adalah 67,12±5,97. Sebagian besar subjek memiliki riwayat pendidikan rendah (71,6%) dan sebanyak 87,7% subjek tidak bekerja. Rata-rata asupan zat gizi subjek lebih rendah jika dibandingkan dengan Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG). Sebanyak 34,6% subjek mengalami obesitas; angka kejadian obesitas sentral yaitu 17,3%; dan 28,4% subjek memiliki lemak viseral tubuh berlebih. Uji statistik menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara usia dengan obesitas (p-value = 0,042), usia dengan obesitas sentral (p-value = 0,009) tetapi usia dengan lemak viseral tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan (p-value = 0,163). Asupan makanan harian, pendidikan, dan pekerjaan tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan dengan obesitas, obesitas sentral, maupun lemak viseral (p-value > 0,05).Kesimpulan: Pada lansia, risiko mengalami obesitas maupun obesitas sentral semakin menurun seiring dengan bertambahnya usia. Lemak viseral tidak berhubungan dengan usia.

Latar Belakang : Salah satu faktor risiko timbulnya kejadian obesitas adalah adanya stunted. Gangguan pertumbuhan pada individu yang stunted menyebabkan berkurangnya jumlah dan kualitas sel serta jaringan organ internal, salah satunya adalah gangguan dari sistem endokrin. Gangguan sistem endokrin berdampak pada proses oksidasi lemak sehingga menyebabkan penumpukan jaringan adiposa berlebihan. Timbunan jaringan adiposa ini memicu timbulnya reaksi inflamasi yang salah satunya ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar High Sensitive C-Reactive Protein (hsCRP). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan perbedaan kadar hsCRP antara kelompok stunted obesity dengan kelompok non-stunted-obesity.Metode : Penelitian cross sectional ini dilakukan di SMA Kota Semarang dengan pembagian wilayah berdasarkan kategori urban dan suburban secara classified cluster random sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 22 subjek stunted obesity dan 22 subjek non-stunted obesity. Obesitas ditentukan dengan perhitungan IMT/U > persentil ke-95 dan lingkar pinggang > 80 cm (perempuan) >90 (laki-laki). Stunted ditentukan dengan TB/U ≤ -2 SD sedangkan non-stunted ditentukan dengan TB/U>-2SD. Pengukuran kadar hsCRP menggunakan metode ELISA. Perbedaan kadar hsCRP antara 2 kelompok diuji dengan independent t-test.Hasil : Rerata kadar hsCRP pada kelompok stunted obesity adalah 4,51 mg/l sedangkan kelompok non-stunted obesity adalah 4,05 mg/l (p=0,665). Kategori tingkat inflamasi tinggi pada stunted obesity sebesar 50% dan non-stunted Obesity sebesar 40,9%.Simpulan : Kadar hsCRP kelompok stunted obesity terbukti lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok non-stunted obesity, tetapi secara statistik tidak bermakna.

ABSTRAKObesitas merupakan kondisi abnormal yang ditandai dengan adanya penimbunan lemak berlebih pada tubuh yang dapat memberi efek buruk bagi kesehatan. Di Indonesia permasalahan obesitas termasuk masalah kesehatan yang kompleks dan sulit diatasi. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman para ibu tentang bahaya obesitas pada balita, memberikan informasi mengenai faktor-faktor penyebab terjadinya obesitas, dan pencegahan obesitas pada anak. Tujuan ini dicapai dengan metode pretest dan post test unttuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman diterima. Tahapan pengabdian ini terdiri dari tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, dan evaluasi. Penyuluhan diikuti oleh 25 orang ibu yang memiliki balita. Sebelum materi penyuluhan dilakukan, diberikan pertanyaan kepada para peserta untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman tentang obesitas. Setelah penyuluhan selesai dilaksanakan, didapatkan data bahwa terdapat 6 anak yang memiliki nilai KMS diatas ambang batas dikategorikan risiko obesitas. Penyuluhan ditutup dengan memberikan pertanyaan berupa rangkuman atas materi yang dijelaskan. Saat kegiatan berlangsung terdapat banyak peserta yang mengajukan pertanyaan dan pada tahap evaluasi peserta dapat menjawab dengan cepat dan benar setelah pertanyaan diberikan. Ibu dengan anak kategori risiko obesitas juga telah memahami faktor penyebab dan bahaya obesitas, sehingga dapat melakukan pengubahan pola makan dan mengatur asupan gizi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil dilaksanakan. Kata kunci: balita; edukasi; faktor risiko; obesitas. ABSTRACTObesity is an abnormal condition characterized by the accumulation of excess fat in the body which can have a negative effect on health. In Indonesia the problem of obesity is a complex and difficult health problem to overcome. The purpose of this service is to increase the understanding of mothers about the dangers of obesity in toddlers, provide information about the factors that cause obesity, and prevent obesity in children. This goal is achieved by using pretest and posttest methods to determine the extent to which understanding is accepted. The stages of this service consist of the stages of preparation, implementation of counseling, and evaluation. The counseling was attended by 25 mothers who have toddlers. Before the counseling material was carried out, questions were given to the participants to determine the extent of their understanding of obesity. After the counseling was completed, data were obtained that there were 6 children who had KMS values above the threshold categorized as obesity risk. The counseling was closed by asking questions in the form of a summary of the material explained. During the activity there were many participants who asked questions and at the evaluation stage participants were able to answer quickly and correctly after the questions were given. Mothers with children in the obesity risk category also understand the causes and dangers of obesity, so they can make changes to their diet and regulate nutritional intake. These results indicate that this community service activity was successfully implemented. Keywords: toddlers; education; risk factors; obesity.

Obesitas pada anak disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yakni faktor keturunan atau genetik, pola makan, sosial ekonomi dan aktivitas fisik, dimana aktivitas fisik dan pola makan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kejadian obesitas pada anak karena seiringnya perkembangan zaman permainan anak anak yang lebih banyak menggeluarkan aktivitas fisik telah tergantikan dengan permainan game online sehingga kurangnya aktivitas fisik pada anak selain itu perkembangan zaman pula menyebabkan meningkatnya pola konsumsi makanan cepat saji yang bisa didapatkan dengan cepat dan mudah. Tujuan penelitian studi literature review ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas pada anak sekolah dasar dan mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan konsumsi makana cepat saji dengan kejadian obesitas pada anak sekolah dasar.Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain literature review dengan mengumpulkan artikel artikel yang dipilih menggunakan mesin pencarian google scholar dan indeks sains dan teknologi. Pada pencarian awal dengan kata kunci (anak obesitas dan faktor risiko obesitas), ditemukan 5 artikel dari rentang tahun 2016 sampai 2020 yang masuk dalam kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi.Hasil: Studi literature ini didapatkan 5 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi.Simpulan : Berdasarkan hasil analisis literature review ditemukan ada hubungan yang signifikan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian obesitas pada anak sekolah dasar dan ditemukan pula hubungan yang signifikan pada kebiasan konsumsi fast food dengan kejadian obesitas pada anak sekolah dasar. The research objectives of this literature review study were to determine the relationship between physical activity and incidence of obesity in elementary school children and to determine relationship between fast food consumption habits and incidence of obesity in elementary school children.Methods : This study used a literature review design of article selected using several search engines google scholar and the science and technology index. At the beginning of the search with the keyword (child obesity and risk factors for obesity), the result 5 articles were found from the range of 2016 to 2020 included to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Result : This literature study found 5 articles that match the inclusion criteria Conclusion : Based on the analysis of the literature review, it was found that there was a significant relationship between physical activity and the incidence and found a significant relationship between fast food comsumption habits and the incidence of obesity in elementary school children.Keyword : child obesity, physical activity, fast food

Abstract: Hearing loss is the loss of the ability to hear sound frequencies within the normal hearing range. Hearing loss can have various effects that reduce the quality of life. Obesity is a risk factor for hearing loss, but this relationship is still uncertain. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between obesity and hearing loss.. This research was made in the form of a literature review using three databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, ClinicalKey. The literature to be used can be in the form of English and or Indonesian, within the last 10 years (2011) and can be accessed in fulltext. Based on the results of 11 studies, it was found that obesity can increase the risk of hearing loss. In conclusion, obesity is a risk factor for hearing loss in both adolescents and adults. Obesity comorbidities have a role in the mechanism of hearing loss.Keywords: Obesity, Hearing loss Abstrak: Gangguan pendengaran merupakan kehilangan kemampuan mendengar frekuensi suara dalam rentang pendengaran normal. Penelitian ini dibuat dalam bentuk literature review dengan menggunakan tiga database, yaitu Google Scholar, PubMed, ClinicalKey. Literatur yang akan digunakan dapat berbentuk Bahasa Inggris dan atau Bahasa Indonesia, dalam jangka waktu 10 tahun terakhir (2011) dan dapat diakses secara penuh. Berdasarkan hasil dari 11 penelitian, didapatkan bahwa obesitas dapat meningkatkan risiko gangguan pendengaran. Obesitas merupakan keadaan kelebihan lemak tubuh yang abnormal. Obesitas yang terjadi pada masa remaja meningkatkan risiko obesitas saat dewasa dan menimbulkan beberapa masalah kesehatan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor dominan kejadian obesitas pada siswa SLTA di Kecamatan Tanah Abang Jakarta Pusat. Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional, pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode systematic random sampling, dan total sampel sebanyak 128 responden. Analisis data meliputi analisis univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi obesitas sebesar 33,6%denganrata-rata nilai z-scoresebesar1,37.Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanada perbedaan rata-rata nilai z-score diantara keempat kategori riwayat genetik (p value = 0,0001). Ada hubungan yang signifikanantaraobesitasberdasarkannilai z-scoredengandurasitidur (p value = 0,0001, r = -0,328), sedentary behavior (0,007, r = 0,238), danasupanmakanan: lemak (p value = 0,0001, r =0,425), protein (p value = 0,001, r =0,294), karbohidrat (p value = 0,0001, r =0,418), energi (p value = 0,0001, r =0,568). Faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi nilai z-score adalah memiliki ibu obesitas. Pada responden yang memiliki ibu obesitas, nilai z-score lebih tinggi sebesar 0,618 dibandingkan dengan responden yang tidak memiliki kedua orang tua obesitas.Anak sekolah yang memiliki kedua orang tua atau salah satu orang tua yang obesitas sebaiknya mulai menjaga pola makan dan gaya hidup yang lebih baik dan sehat karena mereka mempunyai kerentanan secara genetik untuk menjadi obesitas. Obesity in adolescence will increase the incidence of adult obesity and it could cause some health issues. This study aims to find the dominant factor of obesity in High School students in Sub-District Tanah Abang Central Jakarta. The study design used is cross sectional, samples achieved by using the systematic random sampling with 128 students as total samples. Analysis of data includes univarate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis (multiple linear regression). The results showed that the prevalence of obesity was 33.6% with average of z-score was 1.37.The results also showed that there were differences in the average of z-score between the four categories of genetic history (p value = 0,0001). There was a significant relationship between obesity based on the value of z-score with sleep duration (p value = 0,0001, r = -0,328), sedentary behavior (0,007, r = 0,238), and nutrients intake: fat (p value = 0,0001, r = 0,425), protein (p value = 0,001, r = 0,294), carbohydrate (p value = 0,0001, r = 0,418), energy (p value = 0,0001, r = 0,568). The most dominant factor affecting the obesity is having obese mothers. The z score of respondents who have obese mothers is 0.618 higher than those who do not have obese parents. High School students who have both parents or one of the obese parents should begin to maintain a better and healthier diet and lifestyle because they have a genetic susceptibility to obesity. Obesitas adalah suatu keadaan akumulasi atau penimbunan lemak yang tidak normal atau berlebihan di jaringan adiposa yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan. Prevalensi penduduk dewasa muda yang menderita gizi lebih adalah 13,6% dan obesitas adalah 21,8%.Status gizi remaja banyak dipengaruhi oleh gaya hidupnya. Minuman bersoda merupakan salah satu jenis minuman yang banyak dikonsumsi remaja dan diduga berperan terhadap meningkatnya obesitas di kalangan remaja. Kelompok usia 19-24 tahun rata-rata mengonsumsi minuman bersoda sebanyak 681mL perhari.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara konsumsi asupan gula dalam minuman bersoda terhadap kejadian obesitas pada mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran universitas Tarumanagara. Penelitian merupakan penelitian analitik dengan design cross sectional. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji chi-square. Dari 200 subjek, didapatkan 100% subjek mengonsumsi minuman bersoda, dimana 45% subjek mengonsumsi gula dalam minuman bersoda lebih dari 50g/hari dan 57,5% subjek mengalami gizi lebih hingga obesitas. Didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna secara statistik antara asupan gula dalam minuman bersoda terhadap obesitas (p=0,001). Asupan gula dalam minuman bersoda berperan terhadap obesitas pada mahasiswa. Fizzy drinks are one type of drink that is widely consumed by teenagers and is thought to play a role in increasing obesity among adolescents. The 19-24 year age group consumed an average of 681mL of soft drinks per day. This study aims to see the relationship between the consumption of sugar intake in soft drinks to the incidence of obesity in medical students at Tarumanagara University. This research is an analytic study with a cross sectional design. Statistical analysis using chi-square test. From 200 subjects, it was found that 100% of subjects consumed soft drinks, where 45% of subjects consumed sugar in soft drinks more than 50g/day and 57.5% of subjects were overweight to obesity. There was a statistically significant relationship between sugar intake in soft drinks and obesity (p=0.001). Sugar intake in soft drinks contributes to obesity in college students.

Usia dewasa merupakan faktor risiko dari obesitas sentral, prevalensi obesitas sentral tahun 2013 pada kelompok usia 25-34 tahun (22,9%) dan 35-44 tahun (33,5%). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian obesitas sentral pada usia dewasa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional yang melibatkan 102 sampel. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar kuesioner dan alat ukur. Analisis data mengunakan uji Chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai p value jenis kelamin (p=0,001), tingkat pengetahuan (p=0,159), tingkat pendidikan (p=0,024), jenis pekerjaan (p=0,658), status kawin (p=0,144), riwayat keturunan (p=0,003), aktivitas fisik (p=0,000), status merokok (p=0,409), dan intake kalori (p=0,001). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, riwayat keturunan, aktivitas fisik, dan intake kalori dengan kejadian obesitas sentral pada usia dewasa.

Abstract
Semarang City has a prevalence of central obesity of 36.3% in 2013. The proportion of central obesity in Kelurahan Plalangan in 2013 is 61.7% (in adult women). Adult age is a risk factor for central obesity, the prevalence of central obesity in 2013 in the 25-34 year age group (22.9%) and 35-44 years (33.5%). The purpose of this study to determine the factors associated with the incidence of central obesity at adult age. The type of this study was observational analytic with cross sectional design involving 102 samples. The research instrument used is questionnaire and measuring instrument. Data analysis using Chi-square test. The results showed that p value of sex (p = 0,001), knowledge level (p = 0,159), education level (p = 0,024), job type (p = 0,658), marital status (p = 0,144) p = 0,003), physical activity (p = 0,000), smoking status (p = 0,409), and caloric intake (p = 0,001). The conclusions of this study are the relationship between sex, education level, hereditary history, physical activity, and caloric intake with central obesity occurrence in adulthood.

ABSTRACT
The prevalence of obesity in the world shows an increase in both developed and developing countries, including obesity in adolescents. Obesity in children and adolescents can be a predictor of obesity in adulthood. Adolescents who are overweight have the potential to have higher lipid levels. This study aims to determine the relationship between obesity and lipid profile among adolescents in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data from Riskesdas 2013. The research design was cross-sectional. A sample of 2,921 adolescents aged 15-19 years had complete anthropometric data of height and weight, blood lipid examination results, gender, occupation, education, physical activity, consumption of fruit and vegetables, fat consumption, and smoking behavior. The results showed that the variables that were significantly related (p<0.05) to the lipid profile were obesity status, gender, age, area of residence, occupation, marital status, smoking behavior, and fat consumption. Based on obesity status, the three lipid profiles were statistically significant, namely total cholesterol (p=0.000), LDL cholesterol (p=0.000), and triglycerides (p=0.001), but not significant to HDL cholesterol (p=0.059). Obese adolescents have 1.92 times the risk of having high total cholesterol (>= 200 mg/dl) with 95% CI=1.36-2.72, 1.82 times the risk of having high LDL levels (>=130 mg/dl) with 95% CI=1.32-2.50, and 1.75 times risk of having high triglyceride levels (>=150 mg/dl) with 95% CI=1.26-2.44 compared to adolescents who are not obese. It can be concluded that obesity has a risk of increasing blood lipid levels in adolescents in Indonesia, namely total cholesterol levels, LDL cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels, obesity does not contribute to HDL cholesterol levels.

Prevalensi obesitas di dunia menunjukkan peningkatan baik di negara maju maupun berkembang, termasuk obesitas pada remaja. Obesitas pada anak dan remaja dapat menjadi prediktor terjadinya obesitas saat dewasa. Remaja yang memiliki berat badan lebih berpotensi untuk memiliki kadar lipid yang lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan obesitas dengan profil lipid pada remaja di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder Riskesdas 2013. Desain penelitian potong lintang (cross-sectional). Sampel berjumlah 2.921 remaja berumur 15-19 tahun memiliki kelengkapan data antropometri berupa tinggi badan dan berat badan, hasil pemeriksaan lipid darah, jenis kelamin, pekerjaan, pendidikan, aktivitas fisik, konsumsi buah sayur, konsumsi lemak, perilaku merokok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang berhubungan secara signifikan (p<0,05) terhadap profil lipid adalah status obesitas, jenis kelamin, umur, wilayah tempat tinggal, pekerjaan, status pernikahan, perilaku merokok dan konsumsi lemak. Berdasarkan status obesitas, ketiga profil lipid bermakna secara statistik yaitu kolesterol total (p=0,000), kolesterol LDL (p=0,000), dan trigliserida (p=0,001), namun tidak signifikan terhadap kolesterol HDL (p=0,059). Remaja yang obesitas berisiko 1,92 kali memiliki kolesterol total tinggi (>=200 mg/dl) dengan CI 95%=1,36-2,72, berisiko 1,82 kali memiliki kadar LDL tinggi (>=130 mg/dl) dengan CI 95%=1,32-2,50, dan berisiko 1,75 kali memiliki kadar trigliserida tinggi (>=150 mg/dl) dengan CI 95%=1,26-2,44 dibandingkan dengan remaja yang tidak mengalami obesitas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa obesitas berisiko meningkatkan kadar lipida darah pada remaja di Indonesia, yaitu kadar kolesterol total, kadar kolesterol LDL dan kadar trigliserida, obesitas tidak memberikan kontribusi terhadap kadar kolesterol HDL.
