Abstract:
Obedience in worshiping and carrying out Allah's commands is one of the characteristics that every servant must have towards his Lord. And of course, this noble character must be developed and instilled in every human being from an early age, so that later they will get used to it and become obedient individuals in all orders both in this world and the hereafter. But in actual fact, there are still many parents who fail in educating their children to obey. Allah Himself describes the nature of obedience through the life stories of the Prophets. Among them is the story of the obedience of a father and prophet of Allah Ibrahim 'alaihi salam who was followed by his son prophet Ismail to fulfill the commandments of Allah. The intention of this research is to find out how the description of the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim and the role of a father in fostering his son's obedience. In this study, the author used a qualitative approach with the method of description analysis and maudhu'i interpretation. The author then notes that Prophet Ibrahim had an eternal nature of obedience, fulfilling the commands and tests that Allah gave him without hesitation, and he managed to instill this attitude of obedience in his son Ismail. It is the author's desire that fathers as family educators can make the story of Khalilullah Ibrahim Qudwah Hasanah in building and developing the noble traits that Allah promises in the hereafter.

Abstract:
Summary This essay explores Thomas’ thoughts about the virtue of obedience (based on STh II-II, q.104), which is particularly valued as a link between the moral virtues and the theological virtue of charity (love of God). Obedience generates in the human person the moral disposition required for all the other virtues, a disposition which consists in the readiness of the will to submit itself to the rule of God’s will. Reflecting on the question whether one should be obedient to God in every respect, Thomas is confronted with an objection pointing to the story of how God commands Abraham to kill his innocent son, which is prohibited by natural law. I use the scarce but intriguing remarks Thomas made in response to this objection to propose a meaningful interpretation of obedience as a religious virtue, essentially different from its distorted imitation which consists in an immediate identification of one’s own will with the presumed divine will.

Abstract:
This article engages with Michel Foucault’s idea of confession as the central Christian strategy of subjection or subjectivation and the link he proposes between confession and obedience. The article also wishes to show how confession can become counter-conduct. I apply Foucault’s conceptions to early modern Lutheran confessionalism, elucidating how the confessional apparatus of the orthodox Lutheranism of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Sweden strived to mold obedient subjects who are able to conduct themselves. I also examine the transformation and overthrow of these subjectivation techniques in Radical Pietism, analyzing a dissident confession of faith by the Radical Pietist Peter Schaefer, who exemplifies perfect subjection, constituting himself as a perfectly obedient subject, and yet a failure of subjectivation in the sense of submission, insofar as for him, obedience becomes a strategy of empowerment.

Abstract:
Obedience or obedience is an attitude that is subject to authority, carrying out what is ordered, obeying what is demanded or keeping away from what is prohibited. Obedience issues are related to regulations. Humans prefer disobedience, if there are rules to obey, so violations occur here. This has happened since in the Garden of Eden. And it continues to grow in various aspects of life to date. Obedience is a decision to serve the obedient leader. Service and obedience are two things that are side by side like Siamese twins. Through expressions that contain teaching that is so strict, that if someone likes to serve or feels called in a certain field of service, but has a rebellious heart to the leader, it is showing a failure to understand the meaning of a service. Obedience of the servants is clearly very instrumental in solving the problem that is happening.

Abstract:
Given the many older criticisms of Milgram’s obedience study and the more damning recent criticisms based on analyses of materials available in the Milgram archives at Yale, this study has become a contentious classic. Yet, current social psychology textbooks present it as an uncontentious classic, with no coverage of the recent criticisms and little coverage of the older ones. Also, none of the texts present any coverage of the recent reinterpretation of the study’s findings in terms of engaged followership based on participants’ acceptance of the experimenter’s scientific goals. Hence, the present article provides sources for summaries of the criticisms and a summary of the reinterpretation and its supporting empirical research for teachers who want to incorporate coverage into their courses.

Abstract:
114 psychology students at SUNY-Fredonia read scenarios based upon Milgram's heart disturbance studies with the altered outcome that the learner suffered a heart attack and died. Scenarios involved an experimenter and obedient teacher or an experimenter alone. Students read scenarios with and without exposure to the Obedience film. While students who had not seen the film held the experimenter significantly more responsible for the events than the obedient teacher, those who had seen the film believed the two shared the responsibility more equally. Despite the effects of the film upon attributions of responsibility, subjects persisted in responding more harshly to the experimenter than the obedient teacher when recommending punishment, even after viewing the film. Results are discussed in relation to Kelman and Hamilton's 1989 distinction between ‘role-based motives’ and ‘deed-based consequences.’

Abstract:
We introduce conversation analysis (CA) as a methodological innovation that contributes to studies of the classic Milgram experiment, one allowing for substantive advances in the social psychological “obedience to authority” paradigm. Data are 117 audio recordings of Milgram’s original experimental sessions. We discuss methodological features of CA and then show how CA allows for methodological advances in understanding the Milgramesque situation by treating it as a three-party interactional scene, explicating an interactional dilemma for the “Teacher” subjects, and decomposing categorical outcomes (obedience vs. defiance) into their concrete interactional routes. Substantively, we analyze two kinds of resistance to directives enacted by both obedient and defiant participants, who may orient to how continuation would be troublesome primarily for themselves (self-attentive resistance) or for the person receiving shocks (other-attentive resistance). Additionally, we find that defiant participants mobilize two other-attentive practices almost never used by obedient ones: Golden Rule accounts and “letting the Learner decide.”

Abstract:
This research deals with a preliminary study for hearing and obedience in the Islam. This research aims to explain the concept hearing and obedience and report the importance of hearing and obedience and types of hearing and obedience. Then discover the effects of hearing and obedience both individually and collectively. And summarizes that the word of hearing in the Quran is still followed to obedience. Hearing and obedience to Allah r and the Messenger of Allāh r is absolute. As for hearing and obedience to guardians, parents, the husband and others, they are restricted to what was known in the Sharia, that is, if they agree to the truth and what they violate, meaning as long as they are not commanded to disobey Allāh, because there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator. He who is characterized by this quality has fully enjoyed this life and the hereafter.

Abstract:
The author responds to Zern's (1987) article, “Positive Links Among Obedience Pressure, Religiosity, and Measures of Cognitive Accomplishment.” Four principles stemming from Zern's thesis are seen as fundamentally valid: (a) religion does involve obedience, (b) religion with its promotion of obedience does lead to greater capacity to function, (c) obedience leads to higher self-esteem, and (d) pressure to obey leads to obedience along with its benefits. Some weakness is discussed concerning the explanation of religion's positive effect on personal functioning and the principle of obedience without understanding.
