Abstract:
The study on the perception of 264 (33.2%) nursing students from the Professionalization and Regular groups regarding predicting factors of drugs consumption shows these students consume alcohol and tobacco and view alcohol as a leading factor in the consumption of drugs. The Professionalization group consumes tranquilizers and stimulants at a higher rate than the Regular group. The Professionalization students argue that they have to deal with an excessive personal load: career, job, family and stress. According to them, these factors motivate the consumption of tranquilizers and stimulants. The Professionalization group views the family and religion as protective factors; friends and school, on the other hand, are considered risk factors. Both groups consider drug users as amoral and addicts. The present study provides indicators that can support real actions aimed at improving the education of nursing personnel.

Abstract:
This longitudinal research study aimed to develop a pregraduation clinical training program for nursing students before graduation and evaluate its effect on students’ self-perceived clinical competence, clinical stress, and intention to leave current job. A sample of 198 students returned the questionnaires before and after the program. They were followed up at 3, 6, and 12 months after graduation. Results showed that posttest clinical competence was significantly higher than pretest competence, positively related to clinical competence at 3 and 12 months, and negatively related to clinical stress at 3 months. The clinical competence at 3 months was positively related to clinical competence at 6 and 12 months, and clinical competence at 6 months was related to intention to leave at 12 months. Intention to leave at 6 months was positively related to intention to leave at 3 and 12 months. Clinical stress at 3 months was positively related to clinical stress at 6 and 12 months, but not related to intention to leave at any time points. The training program improved students’ clinical competence. The stressful time that was correlated with new graduate nurses’ intention to leave their job was between the sixth and twelfth months after employment.

Abstract:
Nursing has always been a stressful job affecting the physical and mental health of the nurses, but the new medical context of the COVID-19 pandemic has enhanced this issue. The objective of this paper is to study differences between non-employed and employed nursing students in the medical system of Romania before and during the epidemic using matching methods and a sample of 526 nursing students. Stressors and strategies for coping with stress were also identified during the pandemic. The results indicated that employed students were more vulnerable to stress compared to non-employed ones before and during the pandemic. Females registered significantly higher stress scores compared to males in the period of the epidemic. The analysis of the overall sample suggested that gender and environment were significant stress factors during the pandemic, but living conditions were not relevant. The most effective coping strategies against stress for nurses during the COVID-19 crisis were based on self-control and the spiritual dimension, unlike the previous period when other colleagues’ support helped most nurses to overcome difficult working conditions. The implications of this study might help medical management in ensuring a less stressful environment for nurses during the epidemic.

Abstract:
The aim of this study to discover the relationship between psychological well-being, emotional intelligence, willpower, and job-efficacy. The data were collected from 26 May to 30 May 2020 by distributing a questionnaire to 317 clinical nurses with six months of experience in a general hospital located in Seoul. Three hundred copies were collected and used for final data analysis. The results of the study verified that the direct factors of psychological well-being, emotional intelligence, and willpower affect the job-efficacy of clinical nurses and confirmed that emotional intelligence is a mediating factor between psychological well-being and job-efficacy. This study is meaningful in that it proves the necessity of establishing various curriculums focusing on these factors so that nursing students can best perform their duties as professional nurses. In particular, it is suggested that an educational program and curriculum be established that can strengthen the psychological well-being and enhance the emotional intelligence of nursing students. It is expected that such training will equip professional clinical nurses to effectively handle future work in their stress-filled field.

Abstract:
Pronunciation involves far more than individual sounds. Word stress, sentence stress, intonation, and word linking all influence the sound of spoken English, not to mention the way we often slur words and phrases together in casual speech. English pronunciation involves too many complexities for learners to strive for a complete elimination of accent, but improving pronunciation will boost self-esteem, facilitate communication, and possibly lead to a better job or least much respect in the workplace. This research aimed at investigating the effect of Intuitive-Imitative Approach in teaching pronunciation. The participants of this research were the second-year students of Indonesia Vocational High School in amount of 40 students. This research applied pre-experimental method. The instruments of this research were pre-test and post-test in oral test. The result of this research finally showed that the students’ pronunciation of post-test score was higher than the students’ pre-test score. Meanwhile, the result of t-test showed that the difference was significant where value of the t-test was greater than the value of the t-table (20.17 ≥ 2.069). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Intuitive-Imitative Approach is effective to use in teaching pronunciation. So that, by applying this method in learning pronunciation, the teacher are hoped to be more creative to enrich their selected word by choosing the unique words to stimulate students and present them an enjoyable, relax, and understandable way in learning process.

Abstract:
Introduction: Currently, the coronavirus (Covid-19) is still a global problem that is felt by various countries in the world, including Indonesia. The occurrence of this epidemic greatly affected all sectors of human life, one of which was in the education sector where there was a changing the learning process from face-to-face to an online learning system. The implementation of online learning turned out to have a considerable impact on students, especially nursing students, one of which was the emergence of academic stress that was felt during the learning process. This study aimed to determine the correlation between academic stress due to online learning and the motivation, satisfaction and learning achievement of nursing students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methods: This study uses a descriptive correlative method with a cross-sectional approach. Researchers distributed online questionnaires to 259 respondents, namely active nursing students who carried out online learning. Then the data obtained were analyzed by researchers univariately to determine the distribution and frequency distribution and bivariate test using somersd and lambda to determine the correlation of each variable with academic stress. Results: The results showed that there was a significant correlation between age (ρ=0.001), gender (ρ=0.005), grade education (ρ=0.048), learning understanding (ρ=0.000), and academic stress while the variable of media use did not correlate with academic stress (ρ=. In addition, academic stress is also correlated with variable satisfaction (ρ=0.041), and motivation (ρ=0.002) and is not correlated with learning achievement (ρ=0.388). Conclusions: The current Covid-19 pandemic situation has greatly impacted the teaching and learning process, especially the emergence of academic stress, and decreased motivation and learning satisfaction of nursing students. This condition will become serious if each variable that is correlated with academic stress is not handled properly.

Abstract:
Background of the study: Nursing education is considered one of the academic disciplines with higher levels of job stress. Nursing faculty are seldom viewed as a vulnerable population, yet those who teach nursing are susceptible to physical, psychological, and emotional harm from students, peers, and administrators.[13] In the nursing faculty role, individuals face multiple stressors that, if not handled in a proactive manner, may result in serious stress reactions characterized by negative behavioural, psychological, and physiological outcomes. Burnout, in particular, is a negative consequence of stress. Faculty with higher happiness levels could treat student nurses better. It will have a direct impact nurse's level of happiness and is often displayed how they act in the clinical setting and treat their patients. This study was conducted to assess the level of happiness among nursing faculties working in various colleges of Uttar Pradesh, India. Materials & Methods: Descriptive research design was used in study. The study was conducted among nursing faculties employed in Government and Private nursing colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Through Snow ball sampling method data was gathered among 79 nursing faculties from different nursing colleges. Structured self-administered questionnaire was used to obtain data from the samples. Structured self-administered questionnaire consists of two parts. Part A consists of questions related to demographic data such as Age in Years, Gender, Education, Nature of Job, Annual Income, Marital status and Employment of Spouse. Part B of the tool consists of Oxford Happiness Questionnaire. Results: The mean score of Oxford Happiness Questionnaire of this study is 4.3. Lowest score is 1 and highest score is 5.9. 56.96% of the participants score was between 4 –5. It indicates the majority of the participants of this study was rather happy or pretty happy. 17.72% of the participants score was in between 5 – 6, which indicates they are very happy. 20.25% OF participants score was in between 3 – 4, and it was interpreted as neutral (not really happy/ unhappy). Oxford Happiness Questionnaire score of 2.53 samples was in between 2 – 3 (somewhat happy). 1.27 % of the samples score was 1, which indicates that they are not happy. Conclusion: Results of our study revealed that majority of nursing faculties working in nursing colleges were found pretty happy. Interestingly level of happiness of nursing faculties participated in this study had no association with the demographic variables such as age, gender, education, nature of Job, annual Income, marital status and employment of spouse etc.

Abstract:
Objective: Several features, such as workload, irregular practice of sports, and work experiences may contribute to the Burnout However, although different investigations have assessed the associations between demographic and academic characteristics and Burnout across different countries, few studies were conducted in Brazil, especially with nursing students. So, we assessed the association of demographic and academic variables to Burnout occurrence in nursing students. Methods: This is a quantitative, analytical and cross-sectional study. We applied a Form to demographic and academic characterization and the Maslach Burnout Inventory in 570 nursing students between April 2011 and March 2012. To compare the occurrence of Burnout and of its subscales regarding to sociodemographic and academic variables, we used the Chi-Square test and the Fisher exact test (Tables 2 × 2), p < .05. The Ethics Research Committee at the University approved this project under protocol No. 0380.0.243.000-10.Results: Burnout occurrence is higher among students enrolled in first semester, who attend 10 disciplines, without thoughts of leaving the course and who has no job activity. The high Emotional Exhaustion and low Professional Efficacy predominate among unemployed students, and who never thought in leaving the course. The high Cynicism predominated among students aged 20-24 years, enrolled in first semester, who does not work and without experience in healthcare. Conclusions: Few demographic and academic characteristics contribute to Burnout occurrence in nursing students, raising the need of interventions to relieve stress in this population.

Abstract:
Objective. It is still unknown whether the stress level and stressors in Chinese nursing interns are influenced by teacher-related factors. This research was carried out for better understanding of the stress in nursing interns and distribution of stressors during their clinical practice and targeted measures to unwind the stress of nursing interns. Methods. A questionnaire survey, titled Questionnaire on Stressors of Nursing Interns during Clinical Practice, was conducted on nursing interns at a 3A Grade Hospital in Shandong Province. Characteristics of the nursing interns and stressors of nursing interns were collected. A multiple-linear regression model was used to explore the influencing factors of nursing interns’ scores. Results. A total of 132 nursing interns were investigated in this study, and the overall stress scores were calculated. The stressors during the internship include the nature and content of the job, role orientation, workload, conflict between study and work, practice preparation, and interpersonal relationships. Gender, education level, instructor encouragement, and parents engaged in the medical industry were adjusted in the multiple-linear regression model as covariates. All of these factors had significant impacts on the scores of stressors ( P < 0.05), with the partial regression coefficient values of 13.38, −10.52, −5.02, 3.4, −9.89, −14.77, and −15.83 for factors like female, undergraduates, graduate students, never obtained encouragement from teachers, obtained encouragement from teachers occasionally, obtained encouragement from teachers frequently, and parents engaged in the medical industry, respectively. Conclusion. The stressors of nursing interns are mostly work-wise, and teachers’ encouragement is an important protective factor for nursing interns to reduce stress. Therefore, clinical instructors should take targeted measures in teaching methods and work arrangements according to the needs of interns.

Abstract:
Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) play a critical role in alleviating provider shortages and expanding access to health care services for medically underserved populations. To meet these shortages, the APRN workforce is growing faster than the average for all occupations. This creates a critical need for effective transitioning from the role of student to APRN provider. Unfortunately, transitioning to the APRN role is not seamless and role confusion or challenges in role exposition can contribute to job stress and even role exodus. A recent quality improvement project supported student understanding of APRN roles and anticipation of role transition challenges for neonatal students preparing for roles as nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist. This strategy has the potential to contribute to successful role transition of neonatal nurse practitioner and neonatal clinical nurse specialist students.

Abstract:
Background: The COVID-19 outbreak has caused various changes in all aspects of human life, including the educational system. These changes have forced students to undertake an adaptive process that has inevitably affected aspects of their life and psychological well-being. Adaptation of learning into online forms in universities, including nursing, triggers depression, stress, and anxiety. The high number of incidences of stress, anxiety, and depression in undergraduate students throughout the pandemic has made it important to prevent and deal with health approaches, such as mindfulness therapy. Objective: This research intended to examine whether an intervention based on mindfulness was effective and had the potential to become an interference to reduce anxiety, stress, and depression in Indonesian university students. Methods: This research applied a randomized controlled trial. One hundred and twenty-two students from Universitas Padjadjaran and other provinces in Indonesia participated in this study, with sixty-one students in each group. A pretest and a post-test were administered before and after the intervention using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42). The intervention was carried out for 4 weeks with 15 min practice in each session. Results: In this study, there was an effect of mindfulness breathing meditation on decreasing the mean scores for depression, anxiety, and stress in the intervention group. However, only stress (p = 0.007) and anxiety (p = 0.042) showed a significant difference in the post-test results of the intervention and control groups. In addition, there was no difference in the scores of stress, anxiety, and depression for the pre–post-tests in each group based on religion. Conclusion: Mindfulness breathing meditation has an impact on reducing stress and anxiety in students, so it could be applied to all university students in order to develop psychosocial status and mindful attentiveness to one’s needs.
