Abstract The experience economy, that is, the creative and communicative turn in today’s social, cultural and economic structures, implies, as explained by Pine and Gilmore (1999), that consumption is embedded in a communicative format that conveys some kind of experience to the consumer. The consumer in turn becomes more than just a passive user - he or she becomes an active participant in the experiential/communicative design. As such, the mode of consumption in the experience economy is an interactive and play-centric one. And the computer game embodies the very core logic of this experience economy. In the experience economy, the focus is not on consumption of commodities and services, but on the consumer’s engagement in an experience that uses products, services and information as props and creative tools. Taking the user-centred mode of consumption as our point of departure, the present paper examines how the computer game format may be used as a new tool for communicating academic research to a broader audience. By applying some findings from a recent project, we will focus on the ways in which academic research can be communicated in a format that causes the recipient to take part in the process of communication and acquiring knowledge. This opens up new opportunities as well as challenges. On the one hand, communication of academic research is provided with new types of involvement, as the focus is not only on knowledge as content, but also on knowledge as activity. On the other hand, questions are raised here concerning what kind of knowledge is actually communicated/created in the process of active participation.

The heat transfer enhancement in cooling passages with dimpled (concavity imprinted) surface can be effective for use in heat exchangers and various hot section components (nozzle, blade, combustor liner, etc.), as it provides comparable heat transfer coefficients with considerably less pressure loss relative to protruding ribs. Heat transfer coefficients and friction factors were experimentally investigated in rectangular channels which had concavities (dimples) on one wall. The heat transfer coefficients were measured using a transient thermochromic liquid crystal technique. Relative channel heights H/d of 0.37, 0.74, 1.11, and 1.49 were investigated in a Reynolds number range from 12,000 to 60,000. The heat transfer enhancement NuHD on the dimpled wall was approximately constant at a value of 2.1 times that Nusm of a smooth channel over 0.37⩽H/d/⩽1.49 in the thermally developed region. The heat transfer enhancement ratio Nu¯HD/Nusm was invariant with Reynolds number. The friction factors (f) in the aerodynamically fully developed region were consistently measured to be around 0.0412 (only 1.6 to 2.0 times that of a smooth channel). The aerodynamic entry length was comparable to that of a typical turbulent flow xo/Dh=20, unlike the thermal entry length on dimpled surface which was much shorter xo/Dh<9.8. The thermal performance Nu¯HD/Nusm/f/fsm1/3≅1.75 of dimpled surface was superior to that 1.16<NuHD/Nusm/f/fsm1/3<1.60 of continuous ribs, demonstrating that the heat transfer enhancement with concavities can be achieved with a relatively low-pressure penalty. Neither the heat transfer coefficient distribution nor the friction factor exhibited a detectable effect of the channel height within the studied relative height range 0.37⩽H/d⩽1.49.[S0742-4795(00)02802-7]

This research discusses the work of karawitan pakeliran in a Pakeliran Sandosa with story Kembang Kudhup Pupus, which is explored through the basic aesthetic perspective of pakeliran, namely the concept of nuksma and respectively. The purpose of this discussion is to understand the extent to which an element of performing karawitan pakeliran can determine the achievement of an aesthetic puppet show. The results of the analysis show that the work of karawitan pakeliran in Pakeliran Sandosa Lakon Kembang Kudhup Pupus can be understood to reach the aesthetic level of pakeliran respectively. This can be seen through the creation of accuracy, harmony, and appropriateness between the composition of the performance karawitan pakeliran including gendhing and tembang to the needs of the events of the play and the inner atmosphere experienced by the puppet. As for the achievement of the aesthetics of pakeliran nuksma which is able to motivate the effect of catharsis for the admirer in the framework of karawitan pakeliran can be felt through the pattern of melody and gendhing songs and songs arranged in such a way; by paying attention to the compatibility between vocal techniques, beats, and musical graphic arrangements that are oriented to the dynamics of the gendhing sense.

Permendiknas implementation research on the appointment of pricipals is inseparable from the basic permendiknas namely: (1) permendiknas number 13 year 2007 about pricipal standar, (2) permendiknas number 28 tahun 2010 about teacher assignment as Head of school. This research discloses how the process of appointment of headmaster of SMP negeri in Dinas Education and culture of Siak Regency, is in accordance with the provisions set by the government in permendiknas number 28 year 2010. This implementation research isbased on metter and Horn theory and describe the findings using approach qualitative methods. Data obtained by interviuw, observation and document. Futher data are analyzed and performed continuously to complate. The results of the study note that the general requirements in administrative selection are not met well. Because three is still the age of principals who do not meet the provisions with the number 85%. This means that only 15% of the principals are appointed in accordance with the provisions of the first appointment process in office. Even 29% of headmaster who served in Siak district will now undergo more than 2 periods of duty. At the rank and class of principals also found 13% of principals who are currently still in rank/class IIIB. While on special requirenments found arround 65% of school principas in Siak Regency do not have a certificate of principal issued by LP2KS is a NUKS certificate. There are several factors that become obstacles in implementing permendiknas number 28 year 2010 in Siak Regency. Namale; (1) the SDK of siak Distric employees, especially the lack of education, (2) the cost of education and training to obtain NUKS certificate, (3) the role of the acceptability team in the process of placing the principal the carry out his duties as principal.

The waste accumulated in the past at the Nuclear Power Plant Leningrad has to be sorted and packed in an optimal way. In the area of waste treatment and management, the completeness and quality of direct monitoring are of the outmost importance for the validity of, and confidence in, both practicable waste management options and calculations of radiological impacts. Special monitoring systems are needed for this purpose. Consistent with the scale of work during the waste treatment procedures and the complexity of the plant data have to be collected from characteristic parts in various treatment stages. To combine all the information, a tracking procedure is needed during the waste treatment process to characterize the waste for interim and/or final disposal. RWE NUKEM GmbH has developed special customer-tailored systems which fulfill the specifications required by plant operation and by the authorities.

This paper focuses on research and innovation in the gas turbine industry. The production of nonaviation gas turbines was $3.6 billion in 1990, only 15% of total production. With improvement in thermal efficiency, increases in unit size, and the building of record breaking combined-cycle electric power plants fueled by cheap natural gas, nonaviation production zoomed to a euphoric high of $25.8 billion in 2001. The US Department of Energy announced last year the award of $130 million for 10 new projects to integrate hydrogen-burning gas turbines and turbine subsystems into integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) central power stations. Nuclear generation is also a zero-emissions technology, and Pebble Bed Modular Reactor Ltd, a South African company, is developing a gas turbine-nuclear reactor electric power plant, with participating companies that include Westinghouse, MHI of Japan, Nukem of Germany, and South Africa's Eskom.

The j?taka story of the Bodhisattva Sad?prarudita (literally meaning ‘ever weeping’), the most well known version of which is found in the A??as?hasrik?-prajñ?p?ramit?-s?tra, is a story that has been used in different ways in various Buddhist traditions that flourished in India, Central Asia, China and Tibet. For example, it is quoted and discussed in several commentarial and biographical works in Sanskrit, Chinese and Tibetan and it is found in Candrak?rti’s Prasannapad?, ??ntideva’s ?ik??samuccaya, and works about the lives of eminent Tibetan masters, such as Marpa, Milarepa, Rechungpa. In some works Sad?prarudita is presented as the paragon of one who searches for prajñ?p?ramit?; in others he is the model for those who desire to serve their gurus. In China, moreover, during the early stage of the Pure Land tradition, Sad?prarudita was regarded as the preeminent exemplar of one practising the niànfós?nmèi ???? (concentration of recollecting the buddhas, *buddhasm?ti or *buddh?nusm?ti). This paper will examine the story of Sad?prarudita as it is preserved in different sources, and will address its significance and the possible reasons for its employment by different Buddhist traditions.

ABSTRACT The presence of mitochondrial respiratory complex I in the pathogenic bloodstream stages of Trypanosoma brucei has been vigorously debated: increased expression of mitochondrially encoded functional complex I mRNAs is countered by low levels of enzymatic activity that show marginal inhibition by the specific inhibitor rotenone. We now show that epitope-tagged versions of multiple complex I subunits assemble into α and β subcomplexes in the bloodstream stage and that these subcomplexes require the mitochondrial genome for their assembly. Despite the presence of these large (740- and 855-kDa) multisubunit complexes, the electron transport activity of complex I is not essential under experimental conditions since null mutants of two core genes ( NUBM and NUKM ) showed no growth defect in vitro or in mouse infection. Furthermore, the null mutants showed no decrease in NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase activity, suggesting that the observed activity is not contributed by complex I. This work conclusively shows that despite the synthesis and assembly of subunit proteins, the enzymatic function of the largest respiratory complex is neither significant nor important in the bloodstream stage. This situation appears to be in striking contrast to that for the other respiratory complexes in this parasite, where physical presence in a life-cycle stage always indicates functional significance.

Background and Objectives: Residents as teachers (RAT) and medical students as teachers (MSAT) programs are important for the development of future physicians. In 2010, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (NUFSM) aligned RAT and MSAT programs, which created experiential learning opportunities in teaching and feedback across the graduate and undergraduate medical education continuum. The purpose of this study was to provide a curricular overview of the aligned program and to evaluate early outcomes through analysis of narrative feedback quality and participant satisfaction. Methods: Program evaluation occurred through analysis of written feedback quality provided within the aligned program and postparticipation satisfaction surveys. A total of 445 resident feedback narratives were collected from 2013 to 2016. We developed a quality coding scheme using an operational definition of feedback. After independent coding of feedback quality, an expert panel established coding consensus. We evaluated program satisfaction and perceived importance through posttraining surveys in residents and fourth-year medical students (M4s). Results: Seventy-nine residents participated in the aligned program and provided high-quality feedback with a relative quality rating of 2.71 (scale 0-3). Consistently high-quality written feedback was provided over the duration of the program and regardless of years of resident participation. Posttraining surveys demonstrated high levels of satisfaction and perceived importance of the program to both residents and M4s. Conclusions: The aligned RAT and MSAT program across the medical education continuum provided experiential learning opportunities for future physician educators with evidence of high-quality written feedback to learners and program satisfaction.

The sect of group and movement of radicalism, intolerance and violent extremism have emerged in the last decades in various parts of Indonesia as concern in the issue of religious moderation. The religious moderation discourse initiated by the Ministry of Religion in 2019 as mainstream target in anticipating the group who acts of violence in the name of religion. The city of Medan in North Sumatra, which has long been inhabited by people with diverse backgrounds of religions, ethnicities, cultures and languages, they can live together in a pluralistic way. This article discusses the role of mosques in maintaining harmony in plurality and tolerance in diversity. By using a qualitative methodology, through interviews and observations, this article presents several findings the role of mosques in maintaining religious moderation in Medan City. The data from four mosques as the location and place of informan object study. The result of the research first, the role of the Al-Mashun mosque in conveying of tolerance in social life has existed since was founded in 1909 (the era of the Deli sultanate). Second, the historical heritage became the next basic capital in preaching in several other mosques. The views and practices of da'wah are a) Tolerance in following various sect of thought even though the Shafi'i sect as mainstream. b) Different Islamic organizations as member and followers such as: Muhammadiyah, NU, Al-Washliyah etc. c) Dakwah content material is able to adapt in Islamic modern view. d) Dakwah concept of "lakum di nukum waliyadin" in a moderate way in order to live among people with different religious. The role of mosques in maintaining moderate and adaptive Islamic traditions in changing times through the delivery of da'wah materials is able to maintain religious plurality and tolerance in the city of Medan to this day.

Zusammenfassung Hintergrund Aufkommende Therapien führen zu wachsendem Interesse an hereditären Netzhauterkrankungen (engl. „inherited retinal diseases“ [IRDs]), einer heterogenen Gruppe seltener Erkrankungen, die potenziell zur Erblindung führen. Aktuell sind nur unzureichend systematische Studien zur Demografie und zum Management der IRDs in deutschen augenärztlichen Einrichtungen vorhanden. Ziele der Arbeit Charakterisierung der Versorgung von IRD-Patient*innen in Deutschland, Erfassung von Daten zur Diagnostik, zur systematischen Speicherung der Patient*innendaten und zur Weiterbildung in Ophthalmogenetik. Methoden Die anonyme Umfrage mittels Online-Fragebogen (SoSci Survey GmbH) wurde an alle deutschen Augenkliniken (Quelle: Deutsche Ophthalmologische Gesellschaft) und 3 IRD-Schwerpunktpraxen versandt. Der für die Umfrage entwickelte Katalog bestand aus 69 Fragen. Ergebnisse Die Antwortquote betrug 44,8 %. Fast alle Einrichtungen (93,6 %) gaben an, IRD-Patient*innen zu betreuen, jedoch unterscheiden sich universitäre und nichtuniversitäre Kliniken stark in der Patient*innenzahl. Datenbanken wurden in 60 % der universitären (UK) und 5,9 % der nichtuniversitären Kliniken (NUK) genutzt. Die Hälfte (53 %) der NUKs und 12 % der UKs gaben an, dass weniger als 20 % der betreuten Patient*innen eine molekulargenetische Diagnose erhielten. Die Antworten der Schwerpunktpraxen ähnelten denen der UKs. Patient*innen mit der mittels Voretigen Neparvovec therapierbaren RPE65-mutationsassoziierten IRD wurden in 9 UKs betreut. Diskussion Die Umfrage zeigt Defizite in der Versorgung von IRDs auf. Insbesondere war der Prozentsatz von Betroffenen mit bekanntem Genotyp zwischen UKs und NUKs sehr unterschiedlich. Hier sollten gerade wegen der aufkommenden Therapien Verbesserungen initiiert werden.

Objectives: To carry out mathematical modeling of the structure of vortex zones between periodic flow turbulators with a surface arrangement of triangular and square transverse profiles on the basis of multi-block computing technologies based on solutions of the Reynolds equations (closed by means of the Menter shear stress transfer model) and energy equations (on multi-scale intersecting structured grids) with high Reynolds criteria Re = 106 with an exhaustive analysis of the corresponding current lines. Method: The calculations were carried out on the basis of a theoretical method based on the solution of the Reynolds equations by the factorized finite-volume method, which are closed using the low-Reynolds model of the Menter shear stress transfer, and the energy equation on multi -scale intersecting structured grids (FCOM). Result: Mathematical simulations of the heat exchange process in straight and round pipes with turbulators with d / D = 0.95 ... 0.90 and t / D = 0.25 ... 1.00 square and triangular cross-sections at large Reynolds numbers (Re = 106) on a foundation with multi-block computing technologies, which are based on solutions of the Reynolds equations and energy equations in a finite-volume and factorized way. It is found that the relative intensification of heat transfer [(Nu / Nusm) | Re = 106] / [(Nu / Nusm) | Re = 105] in round pipes with square air turbulators for large Reynolds numbers (Re = 106), which may well be relevant in the channels used in heat exchangers, may be higher with a large-scale increment of hydraulic resistance than for slightly smaller numbers (Re = 105), for relatively high flow turbulators d / D = 0. 90 for the entire range under consideration for the parameter of the relative step between them t / D = 0.25 ... 1.00 a little more than 3%; for turbulators of triangular cross-section, similar indicators are approximately the same. For lower square turbulators with d / D = 0.95, this increase in relative heat transfer for large Reynolds numbers (Re = 106) compared to smaller numbers (Re = 105) does not exceed 6%; for triangular cross-section turbulators, similar indicators are slightly more than 4%. Conclusion: According to the results of calculations based on the developed model, it is possible to optimize the intensification of double turbulators, as well as to control the process of heat transfer intensification. It is shown that for higher square turbulators and at higher Reynolds numbers, a slight increase in the relative Nusselt number Nu / Nusm is accompanied by a significant increase in the relative hydraulic resistance due to the very significant influence of return currents, which can flow directly on the turbulator itself to the greater extent, the higher the Reynolds number; for triangular turbulators, the above trend persists and even deepens.

High demands placed to the quality of ship heat exchangers are determined by their outer dimensions and weight, power consumption for heat-transfer agents circulating, size of heat loading, operational availability, processability and manufacturing profitability. Lamellar-ribbed heat exchangers most successfully meet the listed requirements. Two methods of generating vortices (in the case of flow around poorly streamlined bodies and at divergent-convergent segments) in the wall layer of currents in rectangular ducts are realized in 10 plate-fin interrupted (PFTsm) heat transfer surfaces and in 31 tub-plate (TPsm) heat transfer surfaces (HTS) with cross ridges and grooves in order to determine the regularities of rational enhancement of convective heat transfer. The results of experimental studies of the thermo-aerodynamic characteristics of 19 groups from a limited number (4-6) of PFTsm or TP sm heat transfer surfaces and one of 5 tested smooth channeled HTS ( L / d = 19,43 - PFTsm and L / d = 10,50-15,62 - TP sm ) confirmed the realization of rational enhancement of convective heat transfer ( RECHT ) processes and the high level of their estimates (Nu/Nusm)¢max for the value of the complex (Nu/Nusm)Re=idem/(ζ/ζsm)Re=idem = 1, showed the contribution of changed values of geometric parameters δ/ d (0,0580-0,1138), l / d (0,65-3,24) of PFTint and d */ d (0,748-0,953), l / d (0,183-2,003) of TP int HTS in the value of RECHT estimates. There has been proposed and realized (for the studied HTS groups) a technique for determining the ranges of changing values of geometric and regime parameters that proves the realization of the RECHT process, which simplifies the search for rational solutions in the design of heat exchangers. Special conditions of the preparation for the experiments made it possible to exclude the negative effect of side factors on the results.

EVALUASI DAN PERKEMBANGAN PEMBUATAN BAHAN BAKAR KERNEL UO2 DI PTAPBBATANYOGYAKARTA Telah dilakukan evaluasi pembuatan bahan bakar kernel UO2 sertaperkembangannya di Bidang Kimia dan Teknologi Proses Bahan (BKTPB) – PTAPB - BATAN Yogyakarta.Pembuatan kernel UO2 telah dilakukan dengan metode gelasi internal maupun eksternal. Metode gelasiinternal dilakukan dengan cara kombinasi proses KEMA-HKFA (Keuringvan Electrotecnische Materialenat Arnhem-Hkernforchungsanlage) maupun dengan proses ORNL (Oak Ridge National Laboratory),sedangkan metode gelasi eksternal dilakukan dengan proses emulsifikasi NUKEM (Nuclear Chemie undMetalurgie Gmbh). Dengan metode gelasi internal, telah dilakukan berbagai optimasi kondisi prosesnya.Hasil sementara menunjukkan bahwa proses yang paling baik adalah proses ORNL menggunakan mediagelasi TCE (tricloro etilena). Dengan metode gelasi eksternal, telah diperoleh beberapa kondisi optimum,namun masih perlu dilakukan optimasi lebih lanjut. Untuk memilih metode gelasi internal atau eksternaltergantung pada kemudahan proses, murah secara ekonomi serta yang memberikan hasil terbaik.Pemilihan metode belum bisa diputuskan karena belum semua variabel proses dioptimasi. Penelitianmengenai pelapisan kernel UO2 menggunakan silikon karbida (SiC) maupun pirokarbon (PyC) barumerupakan tahap awal, sehingga masih diperlukan optimasi berbagai variabel prosesnya. Penelitianpembuatan kernel UO2 di BKTPB – BATAN Yogyakarta direncanakan untuk pembuatan inti elemen bakarbentuk bola untuk HTR (High Temperature Reactor) dan dikembangkan sebagai bahan awal prosespembuatan pelet (proses SGMP = Sol-Gel Microsphere Pelletization) untuk PHWR (Pressurized HeavyWater Reactor).

Kajian ini berangkat dari fenomena adanya kepala sekolah yang telah diangkat oleh pemerintah daerah tanpa melalui jalur penyiapan calon kepala sekolah sehingga terkesan hanya untuk mengejar pemerolehan sertifikat kepala sekolah saja tanpa mengedapankan orientasi pengembangan kompetensi. Kemudian Anggaran yang dikucurkan oleh pemerintah melalui program Bantuan Pemerintah (BANPEM) begitu besar yakni kurang lebih 435 Milyar rupiah (data LPPKS Indonesia, 2019) tidak diikuti dengan target pencapaian kompetensi, namun hanya dititik beratkan untuk mensertifikatkan sejumlah kepala sekolah yang belum memiliki Nomor Kepala sekolah (NUKS). Tidak ada uji kompetensi yang ditargetkan ketika pasca diklat.Perencanaan kediklatan di tingkat pemerintah daerah (dinas pendidikan) belum terlihat siap yang diindikasikan masih banyaknya kepala sekolah yang tidak terundang untuk mengikuti diklat sampai di awal tahun 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan dimensi kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah berdasarkan sub-sub dimensi kompetensi.Menghasilkan dan merekomendasikan pemetaan kompetensi kepala sekolah pada dimensi kewirausahaan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Kota Makassar. Alasan peneliti menjadikan Kota Makassar sebagai lokasi penelitian karena daerah ini merupakan sasaran program pendidikan dan pelatihan fungsional penguatan kepala sekolah yang memiliki jumlah peserta yang terbanyak yakni 3 (tiga) angkatan dan juga hasil Uji Kompetensi Kepala Sekolah yang menunjukkan dimensi kompetensi ini sedikit lebih baik dari dimensi kompetensi lainnya. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri atas kepala sekolah dasar Se-kota Makassar yang pernah mengikuti program pendidikan dan pelatihan penguatan kepala sekolah, dan subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dasar dan menengah pertama yang ditetapkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan data penelitian.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan mengenai “Analisis kompetensi Kewirausahaan Kepala Sekolah Dasar (SD) se-Kota Makassar”, maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala SD se- Kota Makassar dalam kategori sangat baik. Apabila dilihat dari penghitungan jumlah persentase tiap indikator dari per sub variabel, maka yang mempunyai persentase tertinggi adalah sub variabel bekerja keras, sedangkan sub variabel yang mempunyai persentase terendah adalah sub variabel tindakan inovatif Dari beberapa kepala SD di Kota Makassar diketahui telah memiliki kompetensi kewirausahaan dalam kategori sangat baik, namun beberapa juga diantaranya yang mempunyai kompetensi kewirausahaan dalam kategori baik.Walaupun secara keseluruhan kepala SD se- Kota Makassar memiliki kompetensi kewirausahaan yang sangat baik, masih ada sebagian kecil kepala sekolah yang perlu memperbaiki lagi kompetensi kewirausahaan yang dimilikinya terutama mengenai tindakan inovatif dan naluri kewirausahaan.
