Abstract:
Vocational guidance within the framework of educational activities is an extremely relevant area of work. This activity is regulated by both Federal Laws and regional regulations. In this paper, we analyzed the main methods for the development of career guidance activities. On the example of the Belgorod region, we determined which of these techniques work and what results they give. There are various vocational guidance centers in the region that assist schoolchildren and students in choosing a profession, providing information on the labor market, training and employment opportunities. However, despite the results achieved, there are still a number of challenges and problems that need to be addressed. One of these problems is the lack of information about the labor market in the region for specific professions, which makes it difficult to choose a future profession. The paper shows, taking into account trends in the labor market and the socio-economic situation in the Belgorod region, career guidance activities have great potential for development and improvement.

Abstract:
The current study is a test-retest design with the presence of both experimental and control groups. We proposed to present information about an online intervention program for reducing career decision-making difficulties (caused by lack of information, lack of readiness and inconsistent information) and to present results of its effectiveness. This research was designed in 2020 and the intervention program (7 sessions) started at the beginning of lock down due to COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were 11th high school students from Chişinău, Moldova. 13 students participated in the experimental group, which attended at least 6 of 7 online sessions and 18 in the control group. Career decision-making difficulties ware assessed with the CDDQ – Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (Gati & Osipow, 2000). We found that there are differences between the results obtained by the participants of the intervention program and the results of the students in the control group for the lack of readiness scale (F (1, 29) = 16.388, p = 0.000). There was a reduction of career decision-making difficulties caused by lack of readiness for the experimental group, at the time of the retest (t(12)=3.30, p=0.006, Mretest=4.02) compared to the initial testing (Mtest =5.36) and at the time of the retest for the experimental group (Mretest=3.51) compared to the control group (Mretest= 4.04). After attending the intervention, differences related to the lack of information scale were recorded (F(1, 29)=16.925, p=0.000). Students in the experimental group obtained lower scores in the retest moment (t(17)=-3.073, p=0.007, Mretest=3.5128) than in the test moment (Mtest=5.5192). There are no significant differences in retest time between groups, t(29)=0.83, p=0.41. Difficulties caused by inconsistent information did not change between assessment times F(1, 29)=2.273, p=0.142, there are no significant differences between groups t(29)=0.43, p=0.67.

Abstract:
Problem. The problem for Ukrainian universities is the annual enrollment of students in the amount that allows the university to exist and fulfill its purpose. In the conditions of a significant decrease in the number of graduates in our country and an increase in the number of higher educational institutions, the competition among universities for entrants has sharply increased. Goal. It is necessary to create an information system to inform high school students throughout Ukraine about the existence of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, its specialties, opportunities, advantages, etc. Perhaps the consequence of such widespread information will be an increase in the number of applicants at our university. Methodology. When developing an information system for fast automatic sending of messages to many thousands of addresses of educational institutions of Ukraine of the III level of accreditation, it was impossible to rely on existing analogues, because such were not found in the information space. We used the method of synthesis of information systems on the technical task. Results. An information system has been developed for fast sending of messages to ten thousand addresses of educational institutions of the III level of accreditation. The developed information system searches for the corresponding addresses on the Internet and enters them into the computer database. The basis of the developed system is the database "Graduate of Ukraine", which contains the necessary information about almost all educational institutions with III level of accreditation. The algorithm of work of the developed information system and a kind of the interface of a software complex are resulted. In addition, many results of the system are presented: the created tables with data on educational institutions, the developed inquiries and reports, e-mails with invitations to the Open Doors Day. Originality. The developed system is an original development in Ukraine. No mention was found of an information system that creates and generates database tables and then uses them for programmed actions. Practical value. The developed information system is already used to provide students of graduation and other classes of all educational institutions of Ukraine of the III level of accreditation with information about our university; regarding the specialties offered by the university and the corresponding professions; regarding open days, preparatory courses and much more.

Abstract:
Professional self-determination of students is one of the problems of modern society. Recently, secondary vocational education has been of particular interest to school graduates for the purpose of further admission to higher education, therefore, the question arises about the need for career guidance training for students enrolled in secondary vocational education programs for post-graduate training in bachelor’s/specialty programs. The basis for the implementation of career-oriented foreign language teaching can successfully be an integrated approach (subject-language integrated learning), the effectiveness of which has been proven in research. The integrated approach has all the necessary principles that make it possible to implement this model in practice. The features of career-oriented teaching of a foreign language based on an integrated approach in the system of secondary vocational education are: a) motivation of students to study a foreign language with a career guidance goal based on an integrated approach; b) the use of a set of foreign language tasks reflecting the peculiarities of humanitarian areas of training in higher education; c) career orientation of the subject-thematic content of the integrated course; d) the distribution of students in accordance with the level of foreign language communicative competence; e) modular presentation of educational material in accordance with the humanitarian directions of training at the university; f) awareness of the foreign language teacher in the subject content of thematic modules.

Abstract:
The work is devoted to the improvement of career guidance work in the specialty "Architecture and Urban Planning". Research objectives: 1. To study and generalize knowledge and experience on the organization of career guidance work. 2. Investigate the patterns of formation and development of thinking at different ages. 3. Summarize the data on career guidance work in the specialty "Architecture and Urban Planning" at the Dnieper State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. 4. To substantiate the peculiarities of the organization of early career guidance work taking into account the laws of formation and development of different ages children thinking. The study was conducted by summarizing a number of theoretical provisions of various scientific concepts and practical experience, as an information base used official data published in the scientific literature. Conclusions. The particularity of the specialty "Architecture and Urban Planning" requires early specialization of future potential applicants for higher education, as well as the acquisition and improvement of certain skills from an early age. Early career guidance in the specialty "Architecture and Urban Planning" is the key to successful entry into the Free Economic Zone, as well as obtaining a specialty that meets the individual characteristics of the child and the maximum professional realization in future work. As a means of early career guidance, in full, should be used as a means of informing potential applicants, as well as training and selection measures for innate (features of thinking, channel perception activity) and acquired skills. Taking into account the sensitive periods of the child's development, during the organization of cognitive activity, significantly reduces the burden on the child and reorients educational activities to meet the relevant needs of certain functional systems during their formation and development. In order to save costs in the system of "learning − acquisition of knowledge" career guidance work associated with the development of certain abilities, it is desirable to conduct mainly in the relevant sensitive periods, taking into account the stages of formation and development of thinking.

Abstract:
The article discusses vocational guidance work and its importance in the rapidly developing world for vocational guidance of young people. In the classical sense, this work is aimed at identifying a way of thinking that has already been formed. The article considers methods for determining types of thinking and argues for the possibility of developing a technical way of thinking. There are proposals for developing “engineering” thinking in the framework of work with students in further education programs and a discussion on the age at which the development of technical thinking should begin. There is a detailed description of the author’s experience in the developing engineering thinking in grade 5 schoolchildren within the framework of the network educational project “Engineering”. Assessment data at various points in the project implementation are analyzed. The problems that arose during the implementation of the project are described, their root cause is analyzed, and methods of resolution are proposed. The conclusions show that the way of thinking is not an inherent genetic constant; the way of thinking is formed by the social environment of a person, by the tasks he is solving. It shows the possibility of developing students’ “engineering” thinking through classes in technical programs.

In the context of school-enterprise cooperation, general higher vocational schools face huge challenges and opportunities in employment guidance. Under the school-enterprise cooperation model, the internship management of students during the internship process is a joint management behavior between the school and the enterprise, which is of great significance to deepen the school-enterprise cooperation. This paper changes the traditional analysis mode of school-enterprise cooperation in higher vocational education and applies sensitive neural network to the construction of school-enterprise cooperation development model in higher vocational education. On the basis of the sensitivity of Adaline neurons, this paper further gives the definition of the sensitivity of the Madaline network structure, deduces the sensitivity calculation of the Madaline network structure without too many constraints, and constructs an intelligent model. Through experimental research, we know that the school-enterprise cooperative development model of higher vocational education based on sensitive neural network proposed in this paper has good results.

COVID-19 and the resulting restrictions have had a massive impact on engineering education, particularly vocational and practical aspects of training. In this study, we present a novel mixed reality (MR) tool to simulate and guide learners through a simple fault diagnosis task of a three-phase power supply. The tool was created as a web-based application that could be accessed from budget smartphones in order to cover the majority of users. Comparisons were made between novices using MR guidance and those with more experience in the task who did not have additional guidance, finding that the novices outperformed the experts across all metrics measured. This indicates that MR could be a valuable tool to supplement traditional vocational learning methods, particularly at a time when physical access to equipment and facilities is scarce. MR has applications across the engineering industry, but the target task of a three-phase power supply was chosen as it has particular relevance to the offshore wind industry, which faces a shortage of skilled engineers and technicians in the coming years.

Abstract:
Today’s civilization is a network, with networks covering and organizing it. The important physical carrier of modern human social activities and interactions is a hybrid network formed by the interaction and integration of multiple networks, which is a dynamic and complex network. In the network environment, the mode and efficiency of information dissemination have changed qualitatively, which in turn profoundly affects the evolution of higher vocational education students’ attitudes toward things and their psychological states. At present, there are many problems and difficulties in mental health education in higher vocational education institutions: there are misunderstandings in setting curriculum teaching objectives, teaching methods are not flexible enough, the professionalism and stability of teachers need to be improved, and the follow-up of mental health education for students in schools is insufficient. For this reason, we should take active measures to improve the effectiveness of mental health education in higher vocational education institutions according to the characteristics of the times, establish reasonable mental health education curriculum objectives and evaluation methods, establish diversified teaching methods to adapt to the complex network environment, build a professional mental health education teacher team, actively improve the teaching concept of mental health education, and focus on strengthening mental health education counseling in the process of entrance education and career guidance. This paper proposes a method based on computer digital technology and group counseling in a complex network environment, which can be applied to higher vocational education mental health education courses, and the experimental results show that the designed method has a high accuracy rate and provides support for higher vocational education students’ psychological education and counseling.

Abstract:
Our article concentrates to the main aim – to assess the impact of emigration on an origin economy. This topic was chosen because the theoretical research has disclosed that the positive impact of emigration usually manifests through monetary transfers to a native country while the negative impact mainly emerges as a reduction in the labour force, which, in its turn, causes deterioration of a country’s demographic and economic situation. It has been found that the growing flows of emigration significantly reduce Lithuanian population and cause “brain drain”. High emigration rates also have a negative impact on Lithuanian national economy, in particular, its unemployment rate (the opposite effect). To reduce the rates of emigration from the country, Lithuania must develop and improve such ALPM’s elements as combination of work and dual vocational training, targeted selection of the industries for arrangement of an apprenticeship, manual training, dual vocational training and workplace training, segmentation of the unemployed by the indications of employment impediment, individual work with the unemployed to restore their basic skills (motivation, practice, health improvement), vocational guidance of young people (students) and early involvement of students into the labour market by combining studies and work.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of studying the problem of early technical career guidance among senior preschoolers through vocational studies. The authors, basing on the analysis of normative documents, theoretical works and practical experience, reveal the relevance of early career guidance and the need to familiarize preschool children with the technical sphere of human life. The interest in this area is due to the implementation of an important task of the state to train highly qualified engineering and technical personnel that are to be intellectually developed, capable of effective technical activities, for the industrial sector. The results of the conversation with senior preschool children about technical professions showed that most preschoolers hardly have any idea about technical professions: children find it difficult to name any technical professions, they cannot name labor actions or list any tools, equipment and machinery, and they are rather indifferent to technical professions. The authors substantiate the need to use a profession-based approach in the process of early technical career guidance. This approach allows us to determine the content of knowledge about specific technical professions necessary for the development of senior preschool children. They note the need for a combination of information methods (story, conversation, viewing illustrative materials, project activities, etc.) and professional modeling (story-role-playing) in the process of early technical career guidance for senior preschool children.

Abstract:
Potentiality, actuality or exposure? The significance of recognition in career guidance counselling for newly arrived migrants. This article analyses the significance of recognition in career guidance counselling for newly arrived migrant youth. In line with the sociology of Herbert Blumer, the concept of recognition is employed as a sensitizing concept. In the article, several different aspects of recognition are highlighted, as recognition of prior learning, competencies, and experiences; educational and vocational aspirations; norms and values; the prospect of individual development, and the recognition of harsh and therefore noteworthy conditions for living. The study is based on an analysis of qualitative data from semi-structured interviews with fourteen career guidance counsellors that meet newly arrived migrants in the course of their daily work. The analysis draws attention to the fact that opportunities for development, as well as the recognition of particularly difficult and thus noteworthy life circumstances, are usually acknowledged without more extensive objections, but that the recognition of previously established knowledge, skills and experiences, study and career aspirations as well as norms and values can, according to the interviewees, lead to goal conflicts in study and career counselling work (although the relevance of a recognition approach is generally emphasised).

Abstract:
The main reason of conducting this study is grounded on my rational to provide further guidance to curriculum staff in my professional context, College of Saudi Petroleum Services Polytechnic (SPSP), to develop the current English program taught to vocational trainees to prepare them to their future jobs at petroleum services industry in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, the graduates’ spoken language is inadequate at their worksites and therefore their employers are relatively dissatisfied with the language quality of their manpower. Accordingly, I have decided to explore the speaking skill aspects in the existing English curriculum to value its effectiveness in improving and helping the academic staff to produce fluent speakers of English at oil industry workplaces. Based on my study findings, I have found that it is relatively difficult to assign a language course book which meets all the needs of trainees at vocational training institutions because their working environment needs specific learning objectives for learning job-related language. In my research and professional experience, as a researcher in language curriculum development as well as being a language instructor at a vocational training college, I can conclude that the solution to solve language learning and its implication at workplace is to develop EAP/ESP language program based on specific instructional objectives driven from the actual needs assessment at the target workplaces and their intended learning outcomes could be aligned with both learning and teaching activities and assessment tasks using the constructive alignment principles as the constructive alignment framework could be effective in structuring and designing aligned curriculum to meet the intended goals of these contexts, especially vocational training centers and higher education institutions.

Abstract:
The development of students’ professional identity is one of the main goals of their education at the senior level of basic general secondary education. Achievement of this goal will largely help school students to make a choice of a direction of training or specialty at a university for higher education and upon completion of professional activity. In this case, in the context of specialized education at school, elective language courses aimed at immersion in the world of future professions by means of the studied language can play a special role. Content and language integrated learning is one of the innovative approaches for the domestic education system, which consists in the simultaneous study of a foreign language by students and mastering a specialized discipline or specialty. Elective language CLIL-courses, built on the model of integrated learning, are able to create didactic conditions for the simultaneous achievement of three learning goals: a) mastering by students of a foreign language; b) mastering the profile discipline by students; c) creating conditions for the professional self-determination of school students and their career guidance. We consider: a) the linguodidactic potential of language elective courses; b) describe the linguodidactic capabilities of content and language integrated learning; c) define and substantiate the key characteristics of an elective CLIL language course. These characteristics include: 1) a three-aspect learning goal; 2) CLIL-course should include thematic modules, revealing the features of one or different professions; 3) the system of problematic tasks and cases of a professional orientation should act as the methodological dominant of the CLIL course; 4) the use of a cluster approach to organizing and conducting a CLIL course; 5) teaching tandem in teaching CLIL-course. We describe in detail each of their key characteristics.

Abstract:
Increasing the interest and willingness of students to learn a material was determined from the behavior of students in used information communication technology. The learning model developed was a cooperative learning model based on Blended Learnng. Utilization of information technology, by not leaving the pattern of direct guidance from instructors and the used of learning resources to improve literacy mastery of abilities in technology and engineering became important. The Research and Development (R&D) procedure used Blended learning cooperative learning model design in the form of online and face-to-face learning for ICT literacy subjects and learning media in the experimental and control classes. Blended Learning based cooperative learning models were carried out with scenarios namely offering participation in the experimental class, forming learning groups, and learning activities (lecturers, group tutor teams, students, evaluations). The purpose of this research is to get the quality of learning activities. In stage I, students were offered to take the experimental class and the Control class. The study was conducted by 16 students be taken for experimental classes and 21 be taken for control classes. Based on the results of the study showed that the level of mastery of literacy of ICT and media (n-gain) learning in the experimental class was higher than the control class.
