Abstract:

Abstract:
In a situation of intensive changes in society, the conditions for the functioning of companies change dramatically, and there is a need to transform the existing brand. In 2022, the reaction of domestic glossy publications to the objective conditions of the new reality is divided into three types: some closed, others remained the same, and others changed their brands. The research material is glossy publications that have carried out rebranding: TechInsider, “Novyi ochag”, The Symbol, Men Today, U Magazine, The VOICE, “Pravila zhizni”. The purpose of this research is to study the state of the magazine segment of the domestic media industry during the rebranding of glossy publications. The methods used in the course of our research include system analysis, in-cluding comparative and functional approaches. For a visual presentation of the research results, all its parts are built according to a single scheme: verbal and visual brand attributes, media con-tent (categorization), development strategy in the digital field, brand values. Evaluation of the re-branding nature comes from the fact of preservation or transformation of the value level. As a re-sult, conclusions are drawn that publications took advantage of the situation in different ways: most publications do not depart from the established global brand and carry out partial rebranding, while others, on the contrary, decide to continue functioning in a new form. A full-fledged rebranding is carried out by “The VOICE” and “Pravila zhizni”, completely changing both the external and internal appearance of the publication. The final table presents the results of the study and conclusions about the nature of the rebranding.

Abstract:
Bibliography of literary and critical works (books, articles, reviews, conversations, notes, “letters”, etc.) by Georgy Ivanovich Chulkov (1879 –1939), compiled and published on these pages for the first time, gives an idea of the range of creative interests and the evolution of aesthetic views of one of the major literary and cultural figures of Russian Symbolism in the first two decades of the 20th century. Poet, translator, novelist, playwright, literary critic and journalist, publisher, and since the 1920s also a literary critic, who created serious scientific works about A.S. Pushkin, F.I. Tyutchev, F.M. Dostoevsky and other writers, and memoirist, author of valuable memoirs about the literary life of the Silver Age “Years of travel” (1930), Chulkov was also a sensitive theater and art critic, who collaborated with V.F. Komissarzhevskaya, V.E. Meyerhold, M.V. Dobuzhinsky, E.E. Lansere, Z.A. Serebryakova and others. Having linked his creative fate with such iconic magazines of the Silver Age as “Novyi put'”, “Voprosy zhizni”, “Zolotoe runo”, and then “Narodopravstvo”, whose editorial policy he influenced and in some cases determined, Chulkov often and regularly acted as a literary critic, ideologist of literary trends of “mystical anarchism” and “mystical realism”, a fighter for the social and national significance of contemporary literature. Chulkov's literary criticism is not only an important part of his creative legacy, but also an irreplaceable feature of the complex and diverse literary movement of the first two decades of the 20th century

Abstract:
The article presents M. Gorky’s path to the creation of his own publishing house. The publishing house, called “Parus,” was organized by the writer in 1915. A.N. Tikhonov and I.P. Ladyzhnikov helped him in this. Later Z.I. Grzhebin joined the work of the publishing house. In the published literature, even fiction, preference was given to anti-war works — for example, such as the poem by V.V. Mayakovsky “War and Peace” and the novel by G.J. Wells “Mr. Britling and the War.”Of the journalistic publications, it should be noted the series received in Gorky’s correspondence the title “Europe before and during the war.” It includes books published in 1918, namely L. Vladimirova “War and the Balkans,” M.N. Pokrovsky (with the participation of A. Lozovsky) “France before and during the war,” I.M. Kheraskovo “England before and during the war.” In addition to books, “Parus” published the magazine “Letopis’” and the newspaper “Novaia Zhizn’.” From the pages of these periodicals, M. Gorky and his like-minded people called for Russia’s speedy exit from the international carnage that was murderous for it, which eventually led to revolutionary upheavals and civil war. The research was carried out in the framework of the historical-comparative method. The result of the research is the first detailed description of one of the important moments in M. Gorky’s life — the creation by the writer of the publishing house “Parus” and its management.
