Keberagaman tersebut menjadi daya Tarik bagi para wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Sumatera Utara dengan memiliki souvenir yang unik dan modern yaitu dengan memvisualisasikan kedalam aliran gaya desain modern WPAP pada gantungan kunci. Setelah melakukan survei di Galeri Promosi Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM), Sumut Pekan Raya Sumatera Utara (PRSU), tampak bahwa belum adanya penerapan WPAP pada gantungan kunci yang berbahan resin. Hal inilah yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode kuantitatif deskripsi dengan pendekatan esperimental. Dimana proses pembuatan produk diawali dengan pengenalan desain grafis dan aplikasi software Corel Draw, mengamati demonstrasi pembuatan WPAP terlebih dulu kemudian melakukan perancangan desain produk dan penerapan WPAP menjadi gantungan kunci berbahan resin. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah produk gantungan kunci anomali budaya visual WPAP Sumatera Utara berbahan resin yang dibuat oleh para pelaku UKM dimana produk yang dibuat layak untuk diproduksi karena para pelaku UKM sudah memahami teori dan konsep dasar rancangan desain WPAP serta tahapan produksi dari pencetakan, hingga finishing produk. Dengan dilaksakannya penelitian ini diharapkan mampu membantu masyarakat terutama pelaku UKM dalam memperbaiki perekonomian yang kian merosot akibat pandemi Covid-19 serta memajukan pariwisata Sumatera Utara. Kata Kunci: desain, WPAP, cenderamata, resin, UKM.AbstractThis research is based on the variety of cultural heritage and visuals in North Sumatra, such as: traditional clothing, traditional houses, traditional activities, historical buildings. This diversity is an attraction for tourists visiting North Sumatra by having unique and modern souvenirs, namely by visualizing into the flow of the modern WPAP’s design style on the key chain. After conducting a survey at the PRSU North Sumatra SME Promotion Gallery, it appears that there is no WPAP application on key chains made from resin. This is the background of this research. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method through an experimental approach. The manufacturing process begins with an introduction to graphic design and the Corel Draw software application, observing the demonstration of making WPAP first then designing the product design, and application the WPAP into a resin key chain. The result of this research is the product of the visual cultural anomaly key chain of the North Sumatra WPAP made from resin made by UKM players where the products made are feasible to be produced because the SMEs already understand the basic theories and concepts of WPAP design and production stages from printing to finishing product. By carrying out this research, it is hoped that it will be able to help the community, especially SME players, in improving the economy which is increasingly deteriorating due to the Covid-19 pandemic and advancing tourism in North Sumatera.Keywords: design, WPAP, souvenirs, resins, SME.

While the research design used in this research is the analysis of correlation, namely the type of research conducted with the aim of detecting the extent to which variations in one factor are associated (correlated) with one or more other factors based on the correlation coefficient. The purpose of the research, namely to explain the influence and hypothesis testing by analyzing the various data in the field. In the context of this study is to obtain the facts of the phenomena that exist and find information in a factual description of the factors increase employee engagement in PT PLN (Persero) Parent Unit is the Region of North Sumatra. The population in this research is all employees PLN (Persero) Parent Unit is the Region of North Sumatra. This time recorded as many as 181 employees with the status of a permanent employee. The technique of determining the number of samples used Method Slovin so that the number of samples in this study amounted to 65 respondents. Data Collection method used in this research are primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the Values of the Company as a significant influence on the formation of Employee Engagement in PT PLN (Persero) Parent Unit is the Region of North Sumatra. PT PLN (Persero) also has a program to foster employee engagement, namely: Employee Gathering, the Visit of a Senior Leader, LIQUID and Code of Conduct. On the basis of this, the researchers enter the Program of Development of Corporate Culture as a moderating variable, with the assumption that the program is able to drive employee engagement through the value of the company. The results showed that the Program of Development of the Culture of the Company contained in PT PLN (Persero) to be able to participate moderating variable value of the Company in influencing employee engagement. This means that the understanding of the employees against the Values of the Company will be more effective with the Program of Development of Corporate Culture in PT PLN (Persero) Parent Unit is the Region of North Sumatra. Genetic variation is important in plant breeding. However, information on the genetic variability of Arabica coffee especially in coffee field of North Sumatra was not yet available. Magnitude of morphological variation, genotypic variation, phenotypic variation, heritability, genetic advance, genetic correlation, and phenotypic correlation of plant vigors and yield components of 28 genotypes were evaluated using nested design. This research showed morphological and genetic variations of the genotypes in the field. Based on the research locations as operational taxonomic unit, the genotypes were separated into three clusters. Most of the parameters had low to moderate genotypic variation, while phenotypic variation was moderate to high. Heritability and genetic advance were low, moderate, and high. Several plant vigors and yield components had a positive significant genetic and phenotypic correlation one another, and several had negative ones. Coffee berry borer infestation (CBBI) had a highly significant negative genetic correlation with leaf width (rG = -0.309**), leaf weight (rG = -0.671**), fruit diameter (rG = -0.320**), and bean length (rG = -0.175**). CBBI showed a significant positive genetic correlation with mesocarp pH (rG = 0.134*). To reduce CBBI, selection for higher leaf weight is better. Selection on lower pH of mesocarp could be considered to decrease CBBI.Keywords: cluster analysis, genetic correlation, genetic heritability, variability

PT PLN (Persero) Sumatera Utara is a company engaged in the electricity sector, specifically as a 20 kV distribution control implementing unit whose job is to maintain the reliability of the 20 kV system in the work area of North Sumatra which includes Medan to Nias Island. The wide reach of the work scope of PT PLN (Persero) Sumatera Utara causes employees to work outside their positions. One of the travel documents that must be carried by employees who carry out work assignments in the field is a letter of assignment. PT PLN (Persero) Sumatera Utara so far still uses a manual assignment letter making system. Based on the research that I did, there were a number of obstacles, especially when there was an emergency job because the supervisor who was authorized to sign the assignment letter was in a meeting, or on a day off, or was out of the office. It is very important that an assignment letter is carried by employees when working in the field, either as a travel document, or as the identity of an official official from the company so that it does not raise customer suspicion about the activities carried out by the PLN officer. To accelerate the process of approval of the assignment letter, an Online Assignment Letter Information System Design with the Prototype Method was made at PT PLN (Persero) Sumatera Utara. The design and build of this Online Assignment Letter Information System has several features, namely as an admin, as a driver, as a user and as approval. The Information System Design is expected to speed up the approval process for assignment letters for employee official travel at PT PLN (Persero) Sumatera Utara

Background: Depression level among elderly remains high in Indonesia. One of efforts to decrease depression is laughter therapy, which is assumed able to lower depression.Objective: This study aimed to examine the effect of laughter therapy on depression level in elderly at Nursing Home of Binjai Integrated Social Service Unit for the Elderly, North Sumatra, Indonesia.Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest posttest with control group design. Forty-two participants were selected using a purposive sampling, with twenty-one participants were randomly assigned in each group. An experimental group received one-hour laughter therapy for 3 times a week in 4 weeks, and a control group received usual care. Depression was measured using Geriatric Depression Scale-15. Data were collected from April to June 2018. Independent and dependent t-test were used for data analysis.Results: Findings revealed that the level of depression in elderly significantly decreased in the experimental group (p<.05), but there was no significant change of it in the control group (p=.648). Between the two groups, there was a significant difference in depression level in elderly (p<.05).Conclusion: Laughter therapy could reduce depression among elderly. Therefore, this therapy can be used as one of interventions in nursing practice, especially at nursing homes.

The aim of the research was to determine the best paclobutrazol treatment to obtain superior quality seed potato cultivars. The research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of Horticulture Technical Centre Service Unit, Gedung Johor, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia from January 2020 to March 2020. The complete randomized design with a single factor, 4 treatments, and 6 replications was used in this research. The results showed that the concentration of paclobutrazol affected the number of leaves, the shoots length, the number of shots, the number of nodes, the number of internodes, the stem diameter, and the percentage of roots formed but not significantly affected the number of roots. The M2 treatment, MS + 9 ppm paclobutrazol, showed the best treatment with an average plantlet performance value of 7.33 and the plantlets showed the compact morphology with larger stem diameter and smaller thick dark green leaves.

Life review therapy is one of therapy to reducing depression, building confidence, psychological well-being, and contentment in elderlylife. Purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of life review therapy on depression in elderly at Binjai erderly social service unit Province of North Sumatera 2021. This research method uses one-group pretest – posttest design. The sampling Technique was purposive sampling, with a sample of 30 respondents. The measuring instrument used by the Geriatric Depression Scale questionnaire. The results showed that the score before life review therapy is 7,20 (SD=2,592), and after life review therapy 4,13 (SD=2,825). Statistical test results show the life review therapy affected depression in elderly at Province North Sumatera Binjai erderly social service unit with paired t-test, ρ value = 0,001. This research is expected to be an alternative to reducing depression, improving well-being and quality of elderlylife.

Introduction: Elderly is someone who has reached the age of 60 years and over. The age of a person who is getting older will experience a decline due to the aging process, such as deterioration of the function of body cells so that it can affect changes in appearance, physical changes, decreased cognitive function, changes in the five senses such as vision, hearing, feelings, and motor changes. The problem of changes in body function can result in decreased cognitive function being the biggest cause of the inability for the elderly to carry out normal daily activities, and dependence on taking care of themselves.
Goals: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cognitive function and the independence of the elderly in Daily Living Activity at the UPT Social Services for the Elderly of Binjai, North Sumatra Province in 2021.
Method: This study was a correlation study with a cross sectional design. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique with a population of 176 people using the formula vincent gaspersz with a total sample of 62 respondents.
Result: The statistical test results obtained p-value 0.000 (P<0,05), which indicates a relationship between cognitive function and the independence of the elderly in daily living activities at the Binjai Elderly Social Service Unit, North Sumatra Province in 2021.
Conclusion: This research is expected to be an alternative for health workers in the Binjai nursing home to increase promotional efforts and preventive against problems related to handling dependence of the elderly in daily activities by means of health workers playing an active role in improving cognitive function of the elderly so that they are able to care for themselves for their survival.

Schour-Massler and Demirjian are methods used to estimate chronological age in dental radiographs by looking at the development of permanent teeth and the maturity of the dental age. Chronological age is based on date of birth. Dental age is the age based on the maturity of the teeth. Both of these methods have been widely used in previous studies, but have never been compared. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there are differences in age estimation using the Schour-Massler and Demirjian methods. This study was an observational analytic study with a cross sectional design. The research sample was 46 patients who came to USU General Hospital at the age of 10-16 years. This research was consist at the Radiology Unit of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of North Sumatra. The results of this study indicate the p value of the Wilcoxon test results with the p value for Schour-Massler p=0.090 > 0.05 and Demirjian p=1,000. Both p values> 0.05, there is no significant difference in assessing the estimated age using both methods, so Ha is accepted. In conclusion, the Schour-Massler and Demirjian methods provide estimates of age that are close to actual age, so there is no significant difference between the two methods.

hemoglobin levels in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. This study aimed to examine the effect of beetroot biscuits consumption on the increase of hemoglobin levels in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Integrated Service Unit of the Pulmonary Central Hospital of North Sumatera. The research design was quasi experimental and used pre-tests and post-tests without a control approach. This study was conducted with a sample of 100 patients selected using the purposive sampling technique. Firstly, the hemoglobin level of the patients was measured. Then, beetroot biscuits were given to the patients for thirty days as the intervention. A Wilcoxon test was performed to pinpoint the differences between the pre-test and post-test results. It was found that there was a 2.01 gr/dl increase in hemoglobin after beetroot biscuits were given to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Integrated Service Unit of the Pulmonary Central Hospital of North Sumatera. It was also found that the differences were significant when comparing the average level of hemoglobin before and after the intervention with a p value of 0.000. This study suggests that doctors and nurses play important roles in constructing patients’ knowledge and understanding on the importance of anemia prevention in order to improve community knowledge to use local resources to improve health outcomes.Keywords: anemia, biscuit, beetroot, tuberculosis

The problem of nurse performance is still an issue in various countries. The performance of nurses always attracts attention in Indonesia. The Province of North Sumatra even stated that the performance of nurses decreased, from 0.52 in 2013 to 0.48 in 2014, and continued to decline until 2015. Good nurse performance is a determining factor for the reputation of a hospital before the community in achieving success. Supervision by the head of the nurse's work unit is a problem related to the nurse's performance appraisal process. This study uses a quantitative approach, observational, with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 64 nurses in the Inpatient Installation of Aek Kanopan Hospital who were selected according to the criteria. The research data obtained were analyzed using univariate analysis which aims to describe the frequency distribution related to supervision data, Nurse Work Performance, and Patient Safety Implementation. Bivariate analysis which aims to prove the relationship between supervision and nurse performance on the implementation of patient safety uses Pearson's correlation with a 95% confidence level. There is a relationship between clinical supervision on the overall performance of nurses with a Pearson Chi-Square value = 5.146 and a p = 0.023 (p <0.05). In addition, there is also a relationship between the overall performance of inpatient nurses on the implementation of inpatient safety, with a Pearson Chi-Square value of 12.292 and a value of p = 0.000* (p <0.05). The better the performance of the nurse in the inpatient room, the implementation of inpatient patient safety will also be better.

This research aims to determine the effect of combination of chicken manures and cow sheds to growth and production batu ijo shallot of varieties. The research was carried out in the field of Horticultural Seed Main Unit Kutagadung Berastagi, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, in the elevation of ± 1,350 m above sea level. The research was conducted in June 2019 - August 2019. This research used the Non Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) method, was aplied: a combination of chicken manures and cow sheds, symbol (K): control (K0), 100% chicken coop (K1), 80% chicken coop + 20% cow shed (K2), 60% chicken coop + 40% cow shed (K3), 40% chicken coop + 60% cow shed (K4), 20% coop chicken + 80% cow shed (K5) and 100% cow shed (K6), seven treatments and four replications. Data obtained were performed analysis of variance with a F test of 5% level. The significant difference (p <0.05), results would be to the DMRT test. The results shownd that the treatment of the combination of chicken manure and cow shed had a significant effect (p <0.05) on the variable growth of plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, tuber diameter, production per sample, and production per plot. Howere the highest average was found in the treatment of 100% chicken coops (K1) and followed the treatment of 100% cow pens (K6).

Introduction: Weight is an indicator of the nutritional status of toddlers; it shows if they have poor nutrition, undernutrition, good nutrition, or overnutrition. One of the interventions carried out to solve the malnutrition problem is the provision of supplementary foods with various innovations, such as fortified biscuits with the extract of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera). This study aims to determine the effect of supplemental moringa biscuits on improving the nutritional status of toddler’s nutritional as seen from the increase in toddler weight. Methods: This quasi-experimental study uses a pre- and post- test design approach. The number of respondents in this study was 113 toddlers. The research was carried out in the work area of the Hinai Kiri Health Centre Integrated Service Unit, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. Results: This shows that there is a significant difference in the weight of the toddler between the first measurement (before the intervention) and the second measurement (a month after the intervention). In the third measurement (2 months after the intervention) there was an increase in the average toddler’s weight, namely 1.18 kg with a p-value = 0.005 which indicated a significant difference between the toddler’s weight with the first measurement and the third measurement (2 months after the biscuit intervention). Conclusion: Moringa oleifera contains multivitamins that are effective in improving the nutritional status of malnourished toddlers. It is suggested that Moringa leaf extract can be used as a supplement to toddlers diets which can be processed according to toddlers’ tastes.

Quail is one of the potential sources of animal protein from poultry as egg producers. An egg contains complete nutrients, namely protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. As food, eggs must be maintained both physically and chemically to be safe for consumption. This study aimeds to examine the effect of selective feeding on the quality of quail eggs. This research was carried out at Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, which had been implemented from August to November in 2018. The study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 plots. The study used egg samples from quail aged five (5) months. The treatment consists of Commercial feed (T0), 2 energy source feed (rice bran, corn) with 2 (T1), 3 (T2), 4 (T3) protein source feeds (fish meal, soybean meal, coconut meal, Poultry Meat Meal). The results showed that the treatment gave a significant effect (P<0.05) on egg weight, albumen, and eggshell weight, commercial feed showed eggs weight higher than free choice feeding treatments, while among free choice feeding treatment did not show significant effect. The free choice feeding treatment has a significant effect on the yolk weight, where T2 has the lowest yield. Percentage of yolk, albumen, quail eggshell and egg index, egg yolk index, albumen index, haugh unit and quail yolk color did not show significantly different (P>0.05) among treatment. It can be concluded that the commercial feed showed higher egg weight but had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the proportion of eggs and the interior quality of quail eggs, while among free choicee feeding treatment has no effect.

Nature has a fairly important meaning for the people of Toba Samosir where the relationship and orientation between mountains and lakes become the basic of the layout of their home design. One of the areas that have a Toba architecture style is located on the shores of Lake Toba, Sigumpar Sub district, Toba Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. Environmental arrangements with local wisdom that is strong enough in harmony with the surrounding natural environment, namely mountains and lakes. Jabu houses and Sopo still relatively survive with the style of Toba architecture and have not been affected by modern architecture. Today Toba Architecture is threatened with extinction due to several things which also often the cause of the destruction of hundreds of traditional houses throughout the country. The uniqueness of the Sigumpar Area mentioned above is very interesting to study and research. The purpose of the research is to know the characteristics of Toba architecture in Sigumpar area so that it can be a reference in determining which toba architectural characteristics that need to be maintained in the framework of the preservation. The writing method used is a descriptive method based on empirical facts in the field. In this study the research area is devided in four observation unit/huta which the layout of each observation is varied. The results of this study are expected to provide knowledge about the architectural characteristics of Toba architecture in Sigumpar area and provide concepts related to building preservation and application in designing buildings.

This study aims to examine the effect of cow manure on the growth and yield of pumpkin honey (Cucurbita moschata L.). This research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tridinanti University located in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The study has been conducted from April 2023 to July 2023. The method used in this study is an experimental method, using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 5 (five) treatments and 5 (five) repeats. Each unit consists of 20 plants so that the plants studied are 500 plants. The treatment in this study was P0 (without cow dung manure), P1 (10 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 300 g per plant), P2 (20 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 600 g per plant) P3 (30 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 900 g per plant) and P4 (40 tons of cow dung manure per hectare equivalent to 1,200 g per plant). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of cow dung manure has a good effect on the growth and yield of honey gourd plants. The application of cow dung manure P2 (20 tons/ha) resulted in the main length of the 1st month as high as 187.62 cm, the length of the main stem of the 2nd month as high as 327.16 cm, the length of the main trunk of the 3rd month as high as 367.36 cm, the number of primary branches 2.33 branches, flowering age 37 hst, the number of female flowers 63.30%, dry weight of plants 53.09 g, the number of fruits per plant 1.18 pieces, Fruit weight per plant 1.12 kg and fruit weight per plot 12.71 kg.

Soybean (Glycine max L) is a potential agricultural commodity to be developed in Indonesia. Soybeans have a high protein content which is beneficial for health. Nitrogen fertilizers and cow manure are often used to increase crop production. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of the dose of N fertilizer and cow manure on the growth and production of soybean (Glycine max L.). The research was conducted at the Regional Technical Service Unit (UPTD) of Palawija Seeds, Tanjung Selamat Jalan Pendidikan, Medan Sunggal, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra with an altitude of ± 30 meters above sea level (m asl). The study was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) which consisted of 2 treatment factors, namely: The first factor was N fertilizer consisting of 4 concentration levels, namely: P0 = Control, P1 = N fertilizer dose 15 gr/plot (150 kg/ha) , P2 = Dosage of N fertilizer 30 gr/plot (300 kg/ha), P3 = Dose of N fertilizer 45 gr/plot (450 kg/ha). The second factor is cow manure (K) with 3 dose levels, namely: K1 = 1 kg/plot (10 tons/ha), K2 = 1.5 kg/plot (15 tons/ha), K3 = 2 kg/plot (20 tons/ha). The results showed that fertilizer N had a significant effect on plant height, number of empty pods per sample, number of filled pods per sample, seed weight per sample, seed weight per plot and weight of 100 seeds but had no significant effect on flowering age. Cow manure had a significant effect on the number of empty pods per sample, seed weight per sample and seed weight per plot but had no significant effect on plant height, flowering age, number of filled pods per sample and weight of 100 seeds. The interaction of N fertilizer and cow manure had no significant effect on plant height, flowering age, number of empty pods per sample, number of filled pods per sample, seed weight per sample, seed weight per plot and weight of 100 seeds.

Penjaminan penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang berkualitas telah ditetapkan Standar Nasional Pendidikan, salah satunya melalui standar pengelolaan. Untuk memenuhi standar pengelolaan, dibutuhkan manajemen yang baik di satuan pendidikan. Pendidikan nonformal merupakan jalur pendidikan yang dapat dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dan berjenjang, yang diselenggarakan di satuan pendidikan nonformal, seperti Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar dan Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajemen melalui pelatihan dalam memenuhi standar pengelolaan SPNF dan mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan fungsi-fungsi manajemen dalam memenuhi standar pengelolaan. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang dilaksanakan terhadap 30 orang pengelola pada 30 satuan pendidikan nonformal di Kabupaten Deli Serdang Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penentuan partisipan penelitian dengan menggunakan sampel bertujuan, sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditentukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment design) dengan tes awal dan tes akhir. Perlakuan dilaksanakan selama selama dua bulan dengan 15 kali pertemuan atau 60 jam pelatihan, Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes dan dokumen evaluasi diri berupa tes sebanyak 20 butir soal pilihan ganda. Signifikansi program diuji dengan t-test berkorelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung > ttabel, artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan nilai yang diperoleh SPNF sebelum dengan sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Terdapat kenaikan nilai rata-rata tes awal dan tes akhir sebesar 59,6% dengan daya serap klasikal 75% atau baik. Sedangkan analisis dokumen menunjukkan hasil pemenuhan dokumen rata-rata 69,5 termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.National education standards have been established to ensure quality education, one of which is through management standards. To meet management standards, good management is needed in the education unit. Non formal education is an educational path that can be implemented a structured and tiered manner, which is held in non-formal education units, including the Learning Centers and Community Learning Centers. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and describe the results of implementing management functions through training in meeting SPNF management standards. This research is a quantitative study conducted on non-formal education in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province in 2018. Participants of this research were recruited based on the principle of purposive sampling. There were 30 participants that met the inclusion criteria which came from 30 non-formal education units. The participants were trained about management standards for 15 times or 60 hours within two months. Before and after the training participants were given a 20-item questionnaire about the training materials as well as self-evaluation. The significance of the program was tested with a correlated t-test. The results showed that the value of countedt > tablet, meaning that there were significant differences before and after participating the training in meeting the SPNF management standards at significance level of 5%. There was an increase in the mean score of the pre and post test by 59.6% with 75% classical absorption or good. Meanwhile, the document analysis result shows that the average document fulfilment is 69.5 which categorized as very good.

This study wants to describe the influence of organizational culture on increasing employee motivation in Sumut Bank of sharia unit, North Sumatera. This research uses descriptive and verification methods. The place of research was conducted at Sumut Bank of Sharia Unit in North Sumatera. Considering the nature of this research is descriptive and verification, the research method used is descriptive survey and explanatory survey method. The type of investigation in this research is causality, which is testing the causal relationship between independent variables, intervening variables, moderating variables and dependent variables. The unit of analysis in this study is the employees at the North Sumatra Syariah Unit Bank in North Sumatra. The result shows that Organizational Culture on Increasing Employee Motivation in Sumut Bank of Sharia Unit, North Sumaterais perceived as less powerful to very strong. The highest average value on management indicators supports strengthening organizational culture, meaning that management always improves organizational culture as a support of the company's goals.

Thus the researcher becomes the interpreter of the interview findings, documentation and also observations during the process. The results of the study stated that Communication in the Civil Service Police Unit of North Sumatra Province needs to be intensively improved so that the Integrated Reporting System Application Software can provide optimal results by monitoring activities in the Regency / City on a regular basis in order to understand and know the existing programs. in the Civil Service Police Unit located in the Regency / City. The disposition or attitude of policy implementers should know what to do and be able to implement it so that in practice there is no bias or ambiguity. Resources are one of the supporting factors in policy implementation, therefore in order to achieve policy implementation it is necessary to provide adequate resources in order to support the policy implementation process.

One effective step to anticipate mass riots arising from land problems as high-level Kamtibmas disturbance is to implement the polemical synergy of the Kamandahan Patrol conducted by the North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade first applying the mapping of land conflict-prone areas as conflicts arising from natural resource conflicts that have the potential to cause mass riots. This research uses normative legal research, descriptive analysis. The handling of mass clashes due to land conflicts carried out by the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit will not be effective without the support of the community. The obstacle of the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade in overcoming mass clashes due to land conflicts is the limited number of personnel in quantity and quality that has not been running optimally so that it has an impact on community assessments in handling mass riots due to horizontal conflicts arising from land issues including Knowledge, Skill, Attitude . Efforts made by the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade were to apply the Kamandahan Patrol managerial method in anticipating mass clashes caused by land conflicts which included planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and controlling were considered to be less than optimal.

This research approach uses an associative and quantitative approach. The sampling technique used a sampling technique using the slovin formula totaling 65 people. The data collection technique used in this study used a questionnaire/questionnaire and interview techniques. The data analysis technique in this study uses Multiple Linear Regression, Classical Assumption Test, Hypothesis Testing (t-test and f-test) and Coefficient of Determination. The data processing in this study used the SPSS (Statistical Package For the Social Sciences) software version 16.0. The results showed that simultaneously organizational commitment and work discipline had a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT. PLN (Persero) Main Unit for North Sumatra Region. Based on the partial test, it shows that the organizational commitment variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and the work discipline variable has a positive and significant effect on the performance of PT. This study aims to determine (1) the relationship between Internal Locus of Control and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit Personnel; (2) The relationship between the Democratic Leadership Style and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior of the North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit Personnel; (3) Relationship, internal locus of control and Democratic Leadership Style with Organizational Citizenship Behavior in North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit Personnel. This research uses a quantitative approach using instruments, namely the Internal Locus of Control scale, the Democratic Leadership Style Scale and the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The results of the study can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between Internal Locus of Control and Democratic Leadership with Organizational Citizenship Behavior in North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Unit personnel indicated by a positive relationship between Internal Locus of Control and Democratic Leadership Style with Organizational Citizenship Behavior, this is indicated by the coefficient Freg = 42.451; sig 0.001. Based on the results of this study, the proposed hypothesis is accepted. b). there is a positive relationship between Internal Locus Of Control with Organizational Citizenship Behavior with a correlation coefficient of rx1y = 0.581; sig 0.001; and the weight of the effective contribution is 33.8%. c). There is a positive relationship between Democratic Leadership Style and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, with a correlation coefficient of rx2y = 0.500; sig 0.001; with an effective contribution weight of 25%. The total effective contribution of the two independent variables to Organizational Citizenship Behavior is 36.6%. d). From these results it is known that there are still 63.4% influence of other variables on Organizational Citizenship Behavior.

This paper aims to analyze or examine the role of the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade Detachment in the handling of terrorism crimes and the obstacles experienced by the North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade Detachment in dealing with terrorism crime. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Police Mobile Brigade Corps Gegagana is carried out by bomb disposal which is carried out through the stages of preparation, implementation, and consolidation. The barriers experienced by the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade Detachment Unit consisted of several internal and external factors.

This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was all personnel who served in the Brimob Unit of the North Sumatra Regional Police. The samples in this study were determined using the total sampling technique so that the number of samples in this study was 444 personnel Brimob Unit of the North Sumatra Regional Police. This research instrument uses a Likert scale where all items of the research instrument with a total of 16 items are declared valid and reliable. The data analysis used in this study used parametric statistics through multiple linear regression analysis, partial t test, anova test and coefficient of determination test. The results of the research obtained are: (1) work anxiety has a relationship with job satisfaction, (2) self efficacy has no relationship with job satisfaction, (3) anxiety and self-efficacy together or simultaneously have a relationship to job satisfaction.

The problem is how to create employees who can produce optimal performance so that organizational goals can be achieved. This study aims to determine the effect of employee competence, environment, and work motivation on employee performance at PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Main Development Unit. To determine the effect of employee competence, environment, and work motivation on the performance of employees of PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Development Main Unit, the population of this study was all employees of PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Main Development Unit, totaling 241 people while the sample was 150 people. Given the characteristics of employees who tend to be uniform, the sampling is done by random sampling method. The test results show that there is a positive and significant effect of competence, environment, and work motivation on employee performance. There is a positive and significant influence on employee performance, it means that competence, environment, and work motivation have an influence on employee performance both simultaneously and partially.

The mobile-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for the North Sumatra DPRD Secretariat is a mobile-based GIS application using Fire Goggle Maps that integrates the Global Positioning System (GPS), either via Android or iOS which is directly connected to Google maps which can be accessed via the internet. The purpose of this system was built for the public to get information about the various locations and routes of DPRD in North Sumatra easily and simply because it can be operated wherever and whenever the user is. Users of this system will be taken to the main page which directs the user to login first so that the user can login directly using a google account or create an account. The purpose of creating a user account is to obtain more accurate mapping information when a user searches for the location of the North Sumatra DPRD, Regency/City DPRD, and City. Applications made can present information based on the selection of each type and provide the closest view of the user's position. The application was made to have an impact on the progress of the North Sumatra Regional House of Representatives Secretariat in technology development.

This resort hotel not only provides accommodation facilities, but it also has elements of local wisdom from seven tribes in North Sumatra. Of the seven tribes in North Sumatra, ethnic characteristics are designed as facades or ornaments, as a way to support sustainability and appreciate the local wisdom in North Sumatra. The theme is Respect To The Traditions which functions to revitalize local wisdom with a more visible appearance. Modern but do not forget the rules that existed in the past, as a design methodology. The results of this design were built in One Tree Hill resort hotel. This design was made as an analysis, concept, and solution for Simalem Park managers who planned to build a resort hotel in One Tree Hill.

The results of the analysis of the needs of students and lecturers in the archipelago ornamental design courses in the Department of Fine Arts Education were found that there was still a lack of teaching materials for the course. As a result, students are less familiar with and apply a variety of ornamental North Sumatra to other courses such as tourist souvenir designs, batik courses and others that require typical North Sumatra ornamentist. Research Objectives To develop and apply the textbook according to the needs of students so that they are with the needs of students, the textbook designed entitled Drawing North Sumatra Ornamental Variety in the form of two languages, Indonesian and English. Research and development conducted with five stages referring to the Addie model developed by Robert M. Branch. Products developed are validated by 3 experts in their fields and each concluded very well and is suitable for use. This proves that the teaching material for drawing a variety of North Sumatra has used by art students and for the public is suitable for use and effective. After conducting product trials to students, it was found that the product developed was very helpful for students and also had an impact on the level of creativity of students designing a variety of souvenirs based on local ornaments of North Sumatra. The results of the study can increase student activities and safety and contribute to improving student achievement in the design of ornamentists in tourist and other art objects.

North Sumatra Province has 33 FMU units, comprising 15 Production FMUs and 18 Protection FMUs, all grouped into 16 FMU Regions. This study evaluates forest management performance in the FMU Region III Kisaran. The performance assessment used the Forest Watch Indonesia 2.0 (FWI 2.0) instrument and the Technical Guidelines for Assessing the Effectiveness of Forest Area Management from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The FWI 2.0 method is oriented towards performance results, benefits, and impacts. The technical guidelines for assessing the effectiveness of FMU organizations are already oriented toward the results, benefits, and impacts of forest management. Both methods used show that the performance of FMU Region III Kisaran is in the medium category. This research indicates that the selection of FMU performance assessment methods should be tailored to the purpose of the assessment

This study aims to determine the relationship of work motivation and emotional intelligence with the performance of Health Officers UPT Province of North Sumatra. The type of this research is quantitative research with research population of UPT Health officer of North Sumatera Province as many as 66 people and all of them used as sample (total sampling). The result of analysis shows that the average of work motivation, emotional intelligence and performance of UPT Health officer of North Sumatera Province is high. The results of multiple regression analysis based on the first hypothesis shows that there is a significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance of 0,578 and p 0.000. The second hypothesis shows that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and employee performance of 0.644 and p 0.000. And there is a very significant relationship between work motivation and emotional intelligence with employee performance of 0.726 and p 0.000. The higher the work motivation and emotional intelligence of the UPT Health Officer of the Province of North Sumatra, the higher the performance of the employee. Contribution given work motivation and emotional intelligence to employee performance is equal to 52,7%.

This study aims to examine the impact of implementing government accounting standards on the quality of the financial statements of the North Sumatra Provincial Government. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, which explains in the form of tables and graphs the condition of objects and research results with the help of simple regression data analysis. The data used in this study is primary data and data collection is carried out through questionnaires to 40 respondents who are employees of the Regional Financial Management Unit who carry out the main tasks and functions of regional financial management in the North Sumatra Provincial Government. This research is expected to provide information regarding the impact of implementing government accounting standards on the quality of the financial statements of the North Sumatra Provincial Government. This research is also expected to be used as a reference in making decisions to improve the quality of financial reports in the North Sumatra Provincial Government and as a reference for further researchers to find factors that affect the quality of financial reports. Based on the results of the tests conducted, this study found that the implementation of government accounting standards had a positive and significant effect on the quality of the financial statements of the North Sumatra Provincial Government. Through the analysis of determination, it was also found that the quality of financial statements can be explained by the implementation of government accounting standards by 80.4% and the remaining 19.6% can be explained by other variables outside the model studied.

The study was conducted to find out how effective the role of BAPPEDA in North Sumatra Province in planning Local Revenue (PAD) in Medan City is. The location as a place for researchers to conduct research is on Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro No. 21 A District. Medan Polonia was mulched from February to March 2022. Researchers used qualitative methods in this study and the data were collected using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. From the research conducted, it is found that the largest PAD in Medan City comes from development taxes. It was found that there were advantages and disadvantages in planning this Medan City PAD. BAPPEDA of North Sumatra Province acts as a provider of complete and effective information related to data on Regional Original Revenue. In addition, making the right work system design in creating the program or vision and mission of the North Sumatra Provincial Government as it should be.

Archives have an important role in the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of North Sumatra Province, so it is hoped that the archive management process is good, fast, and easy. If the archives are not managed properly it will have an impact on the difficulty of finding information and this can hinder the next stage of work. Departing from these problems, a digitalized information system is needed to record these documents. Therefore, archives must be managed with a good and correct management system. This study discusses the design of a document archiving information system according to the needs of the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of North Sumatra Province based on the system design that has been compiled including use case diagrams, activity diagrams and sequence diagrams. The Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of North Sumatra Province still uses the manual method in managing archives, so with the creation of this system, it is hoped that it can help the work of the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of North Sumatra Province in terms of archive management. Searching data is also easier and faster because officers or employees do not need to look for archives in books or files listing items that have piled up because they can look at the archive database in the agency.

Abstract Sumatra has extensive forests, rich in tree species, especially the Dipterocarpaceae species, which have high economic and ecological value in the development sector. The enormous number of Dipterocarpaceae species and the paucity of herbarium collections make identifying species quite easy. The study’s goal was to learn more about the Dipterocarpaceae family tree’s species, diameter, and height in the Mandailing Natal Forest Production Management Unit (KPHP ) in North Sumatra. Diameter and height data of Shorea sp was based on secondary data processing. The inventory revealed that the Dipterocarpaceae family has 12 different species. Trees in the Dipterocarpaceae family have an average diameter of 44.5 cm and a height of 20 cm. This inventory is expected to offer information on the several Dipterocarpacea families that can be found in this area, particularly those with high economic value and those that are protected.

This study aims to analyze the influence of E-procurement, internal control system and religiosity on the prevention of fraud procurement of goods and services in the Procurement Service Unit (ULP) of Goods and Services of North Sumatra Province. This study uses quantifiable method with primary data source obtained in its entirety from the spread of 124 research questionnaires on all employees working in ULP North Sumatra Province. Data analysis in this study using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results prove that variable e-procerement is proven to have a positive impact on the prevention of fraud procurement of goods and services. Variable relegiusity is proven to have a positive impact on the prevention of fraud procurement of goods and services. Variable internal control system is proven to have a positive impact on the prevention of fraud procurement of goods and services.

The goal of this research was to design a Decision Support System (DSS) to monitor and forecast the price of rice. This system was designed to help the policy makers in decision making process to stabilize the rice price. The most fitted model base of the DSS forecasting method was selected by analyzing the architecture of Artificial Neural Network (ANN). The best fitted ANN architecture was selected based on the smallest value of Mean Square Error (MSE) and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) in training, testing, and validation. The research was done using the monthly price of rice IR64 in District Deli Serdang, North Sumatera from January 2000 to December 2015. Decision support system developing phases was used to create the best match of ANN architecture for the model base of the DSS along with the database, the knowledge base, as well as the user interface. DSS was programmed using the PHP programming and was designed in a web base to facilitate the interaction between the DSS, the system's users, and the flow of data exchange. From 73 trials unit of the ANN architecture analysis, it has been obtained that an ANN 12-1-1, purelin activation function inside the hidden layer, purelin activation function inside the output layer, traingda training algorithm (gradient descent with adaptive learning rate) and the value of learning rate was 0,1 were the best match for developing the DSS forecasting method. Furthermore, the MSE and MAPE of the training, testing and validation in a row were 0.00128 and 3.57%; 0.0319 and 5.47%; 0.0052 and 2.51%. The validation results showed that the forecasting results that has been produced by the DSS has a 90 % accuracy.ABSTRAKSistem pendukung keputusan monitoring dan peramalan harga beras dirancang untuk memberikan prediksi harga masa depan dan dukungan keputusan bagi para pembuat kebijakan dalam melakukan stabilisasi harga beras. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang prototipe Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) dengan terlebih dahulu menganalisis arsitektur Jaringan Saraf Tiruan (JST) yang paling sesuai untuk digunakan sebagai metode peramalan/subsistem model SPK. Kajian dilakukan dengan menggunakan data harga bulanan komoditas beras IR64 di Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara bulan Januari 2000–Desember 2015. Arsitektur model JST terbaik dipilih berdasarkan pada nilai Mean Square Error (MSE) dan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) terkecil dari hasil pelatihan, pengujian dan validasi. Arsitektur model JST terbaik kemudian dirancang menjadi subsistem model SPK bersamaan dengan basis data, komponen pengetahuan dan tampilan antarmuka menggunakan fase-fase perancangan sistem pendukung keputusan. SPK dirancang untuk digunakan berbasis web (web base) agar memudahkan interaksi dengan pengguna (user) dan arus pertukaran data. SPK diprogram menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Dari 73 percobaan analisis arsitektur model JST yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh satu arsitektur JST dengan performa peramalan terbaik yang digunakan sebagai metode peramalan dengan arsitektur 12-1-1, fungsi aktivasi purelin pada lapisan tersembunyi, fungsi aktivasi purelin pada lapisan output, algoritma pelatihan traingda (gradient descent with adaptive learning rate) dan nilai laju pembelajaran 0,1. Nilai MSE dan MAPE dari hasil pelatihan, pengujian dan validasi berturut-turut adalah 0,00128 dan 3,57%; 0,0319 dan 5,47%; 0,0052 dan 2,51%. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa hasil peramalan yang dihasilkan oleh SPK memiliki tingkat akurasi 90%.
