Abstract:
This paper deals with the study of pollution trend in Hindon river between Meerut and Greater Noida stretch along with change in their population density, types of industries and l iving standards. It was observed that heavy metal pollution increases when we move from Meerut to Mohan Nagar and decreases when we further move towards Greater Noida. Organic pollution and BOD level increased many folds then the permissible limits in Meerut and Greater Noida. Concentration of inorganic ions gradually increases from Meerut to Greater Noida. Where population density is high, organic pollution dominates and where industries are more, heavy metal and inorganic ions load is more. With increase in pollution level, risk of exposure to diseases also increased so, we should emphasize on pollution treatment and control.

Abstract:
Abstract. To make transit rail services more attractive, the preferred public travel mode and serve as the backbone of any metropolitan area, there arises a need to create a sustainable and inclusive urban environment with access to all. This study aims to map the pedestrian permeability and impermeability by categorizing roads and streets around identified transit nodes in Noida as public, private and non-accessible by all. By doing so, the study identifies very distinct and spatial divisions like gated communities and urban villages that have emerged as social ghettos in the planned city Noida and thereby, devoid it of being an inclusive city. Initial metro station smart android-based mobile surveys were done across 12 elevated metro stations falling on the blue transit corridor line connecting Delhi with its satellite town Noida using smart apps namely ODK and Kobo Toolbox with the analysis done in QGIS. It was found that trip distance and time had a strong association with walking while age, gender and purpose of the trip had no association with walking to the metro station. Most transit users living within one-kilometer walking distance prefer to walk to the nearest metro station in Noida. Finally, the study shows the area difference between the perceived and actual Isochrones prepared in QGIS as Ped-sheds after deducing areas such as gated communities, superblocks and unplanned settlements like urban villages where the existing road/street network is not accessible by all or safe to use.

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to explore the relevance and application of the Rostow’s five stages of growth theory to the emergence and development of the Greater Noida city. The paper also debates whether rapid industrialization of this city emanates increased socio-economic security of the residents. The study uses Qualitative methods to explain the perceived socio-economic security of the residents in a sub-urban area of Greater Noida, which has undergone a shift in the structure of its major economic activities. Interview questions related to social protection, employment, income, poverty, healthcare, education, demography, and economic policy were analysed in the light of Rostow’s growth stages of economy using Content Analysis (Diction 7.1.3 Version) and Thematic Coding. Thematic coding of 20 interviews yielded four major themes, which revolved around socio-economic development, industrial and infrastructural development, environment degradation, hardships, and exploitation. The sentiment analysis through Diction 7.1.3 revealed scores for 20 interviews in terms of master variables like certainty, optimism, activity, realism and commonality which were well with-in the range. The calculated variables like insistence, variety, embellishment and complexity were also in the range specified. This research paper can help the policy-makers to take into account the sentiments while formulating these policies.

Abstract:
In urbanizing India, walkability and outdoor physical activities are essential for a healthy lifestyle. Urban roads need to be assessed for walkability, and public parks need to be assessed as spaces for physical activities. Not many studies have looked at both the aspects together, and use of GIS is not prevalent. This study demonstrates use of GIS to examine various parameters of walkability and parks in the city of Greater Noida, India. GIS was found highly effective for collecting information before performing survey of selected sectors, post-field data visualization, and data integration to understand spatial variability of walkability and usefulness of individual parks. Only one of the sectors was identified as having better walkability as well as good quality of parks for physical activities. Many low-income sectors did not have parks. Walkability parameters had a spatial pattern within each sector, and urban and rural sectors differed in providing walkability.

Abstract:
Abstract Groundwater quality in Noida and Ghaziabad has been decreasing in recent years as a result of industrial operations and pollution. The primary goal of the present work is to investigate the groundwater quality indicators in the various key locations of Noida and Ghaziabad. Different physico-chemical characteristics of groundwater in these locations were investigated in order to quantify the influence of these parameters on the environment in general and human health in particular. pH, total dissolved solids (TDS), Alkalinity, chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD), total hardness, carbonates, bicarbonates, turbidity and chlorides were measured. pH, TDS, alkalinity, hardness, and chloride content were found to be 7.35-9.05, 0-30 mg/l, 140-975 mg/l, 170-335 mg/l, and 39.90-939.70 mg/l respectively. The acquired results were compared to the permitted limits set by the Indian water quality standard IS:10500-2012 and recommendations were made to improve the water quality of the study region in order to make the groundwater suitable for consumption.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to find out the factors affecting customer satisfaction in teleshopping. Researchers hypothesize that perceived value, convenience, and product variety have positive effect on customer satisfaction in teleshopping. The survey was done using convenient sampling from the region of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Sample consisted of 150 respondents of Noida. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. Results suggested that convenience is the only factor that significantly affects the customer satisfaction in teleshopping. The research suggests that product variety available and perceived value show correlation but does not significantly affect customer satisfaction in teleshopping. The research was useful for TV channels like NAPTOL BAZAR as it proves that customers order products from them just because of the convenience they are getting in return. This study is one of the first, at least to the author’s knowledge, to empirically examine and confirm the effect of convenience, perceived value, and product variety on customer satisfaction in teleshopping.
