Abstract:
In our recent paper, we systematized an inverse algorithm to obtain quiver gauge theory living on theM2-branes probing the singularities of a special kind of Calabi-Yau fourfold which were complex cones over toric Fanoℙ3,ℬ1,ℬ2,ℬ3. These quiver gauge theories cannot be given a dimer tiling presentation. We use the method of partial resolution to show that the toric data ofℂ4and Fanoℙ3can be embedded inside the toric data of Fanoℬtheories. This method indirectly justifies that the two-node quiver Chern-Simons theories corresponding toℂ4, Fanoℙ3, and their orbifolds can be obtained by higgsing ma

Abstract:
In this paper two ways to order the nodes of a graph with respect to an arbitrary node are considered, both connected to random walks on the graph. The first one is the order according to probabilities of states of a random walk of fixed length started in that arbitrary node. The walks considered here are lazy walks – instead of making a step they are allowed to stay in the same node. A class of graphs, where such order the corresponds to the weak order by geodesic distances, was found. Square and toric n-dimensional grids are shown to be instances of this class. The second way of ordering is

In the search for scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computing, distributed quantum computers are promising candidates. These systems can be realized in large-scale quantum networks or condensed onto a single chip with closely situated nodes. We present a framework for numerical simulations of a memory channel using the distributed toric surface code, where each data qubit of the code is part of a separate node, and the error-detection performance depends on the quality of four-qubit Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) states generated between the nodes. We quantitatively investigate the effect of

Abstract Quantization problems for non-separable bound systems are best appreciated in the light of knowledge of the possible phase space structures, discussed in Section 7.1. Emphasis is placed on the role of the so-called invariant tori, which are generalizations of the phase orbits of Section 4.1. Section 7.2 describes how the simplest situations may be quantized by an extension of the Bohr-Sommerfeld approach, due to Einstein (1917), Brillouin (1926a, b), and Keller (1958) (EBK). However, resonant situations, in which the frequencies of motion in different degrees of freedom are rationally

The development of manufacturing processes for joining and assembling of lightweight aluminum vehicles requires detailed process capability studies as well as dimensional variation analysis studies to ensure process controls are in place. These manufacturing processes not only have to provide cycle time viability but also need to maintain or surpass product safety and quality. T-Nodes joint designs are an integral of aluminum architectures based on hybrid designs, i.e those fabricated from mixed aluminum products consisting of castings, stampings and extrusions.
