Abstract:
Keywords perform a significant role in selecting various topic-related documents quite easily. Topics or keywords assigned by humans or experts provide accurate information. However, this practice is quite expensive in terms of resources and time management. Hence, it is more satisfying to utilize automated keyword extraction techniques. Nevertheless, before beginning the automated process, it is necessary to check and confirm how similar expert-provided and algorithm-generated keywords are. This paper presents an experimental analysis of similarity scores of keywords generated by different supervised and unsupervised automated keyword extraction algorithms with expert-provided keywords from the electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) domain. The paper also analyses which texts provide better keywords such as positive sentences or all sentences of the document. From the unsupervised algorithms, YAKE, TopicRank, MultipartiteRank, and KPMiner are employed for keyword extraction. From the supervised algorithms, KEA and WINGNUS are employed for keyword extraction. To assess the similarity of the extracted keywords with expert-provided keywords, Jaccard, Cosine, and Cosine with word vector similarity indexes are employed in this study. The experiment shows that the MultipartiteRank keyword extraction technique measured with cosine with word vector similarity index produces the best result with 92% similarity with expert-provided keywords. This study can help the NLP researchers working with the EDLC domain or recommender systems to select more suitable keyword extraction and similarity index calculation techniques.

Abstract:
Keywords refer to important words or concepts that represent the research foci and theoretical backgrounds of an academic study. They enable readers to glean a quick impression about what they are going to read from an academic article. Keywords also provide valuable information for researchers who intend to search for articles related to a particular field or conduct a survey related to a specific topic. Therefore, in selected academic journals, detailed guidelines are provided to help authors choose appropriate keywords for highlighting their research. In this editorial, we examine the role of keywords from several perspectives by reviewing the keywords adopted by AJET authors in recent years. Accordingly, we attempt to provide recommendations to AJET authors for their future submissions. It is expected that, via using proper keywords, the authors and readers as well as the journal can be benefited.

This paper proposes a method which regards the keywords provided by the authors of technical papers as terms and learns the statistics which distinguish terms from non-terms. Since it uses keywords as training data, it requires no hand-labeled training corpora manually annotated with terms. The proposed method was used to extract terms from the NTCIR morphologically tagged corpus and achieved 0.800 recall and 0.431 precision. The effectiveness of the proposed method has thus been demonstrated.

Abstract:
We introduce a blockchain-based online employment contract system to protect the rights and interests of both employees and employers. In the proposed model, an employer and a worker can interactively create a new electronic online contract, and the mutually signed contract is saved on a contract blockchain so that the contract becomes certifiable but cannot be forged by the contract signers. In particular, the blockchain in our system provides transactional privacy to protect sensitive personal information such as social identifier, contact information, income, and so forth, contained in the contract. Since a remote cloud server must provide not only secure storage, accessibility, and availability of all signed contracts, but also increased security in the server, we propose a new encrypted keyword search mechanism with enhanced search accuracy. Each contract is associated with encrypted keywords generated from the names of contractual parties and must remain confidential and anonymous even to the server. Although, the contracts must always be accessible by the contract signers, only the cloud server should be able to retrieve each user’s contract without decrypting the contract or identifying the contract signer. To meet these requirements, we propose a new encrypted keyword search mechanism based on Gentry’s homomorphic encryption technology; the server can find each user’s contract when two encrypted arbitrary keywords are homomorphic to each other. Since the keywords in the proposed system are based on person names or business names, they are easily predictable, and, thereby, many synonyms for a keyword can exist. Therefore, the proposed encrypted keyword search takes into account not only the keywords but also the ownership of each contract; in this way, the proposed search scheme is secure against a keyword guessing attack and provides strong search accuracy against the keyword synonyms. As a result, users can only access their own contracts, and the cloud server can exactly retrieve the requester’s contracts. Implementations for the proposed system and corresponding analysis on its security and simulated performance are provided.

Abstract:
This study investigates the degree to which biodiversity concepts are included within university curricula in Ontario and provides a baseline for tracking this. A keyword search of undergraduate and graduate academic calendars from six Ontario universities was conducted. A list of 28 relevant keywords was developed, and university program descriptors were searched for these keywords, while considering core and elective courses within each program. Almost half (49.5%) of the 386 undergraduate programs, and 29.4% of the 327 graduate programs featured biodiversity keywords. Science programs showed the highest degree of integration (74.5% for undergraduate and 37.4% for graduate programs), followed by business programs (57.6% and 38.4%, respectively). The arts and social sciences showed the least biodiversity integration (25.8% of undergraduate and 21.0% of graduate programs). This research method provides a depth of understanding of biodiversity integration within university curricula, although the analysis is limited to the content provided in academic calendars.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to investigate the most relevant conceptualizations of innovation taken into account by scholars, and the linkages among them. Over time, the increasing interest in this area has involved a great variety of actors and contexts in establishing the definition of different innovation labels; we chose to focus the analysis on “system innovation”, “network innovation” and “ecosystem innovation”. In order to observe the most relevant elements of each research stream and common aspects, a two-step analysis of literature contributions has been performed through a bibliometric analysis comparing the evidence emerging from one survey of keywords provided by authors and a second of keywords provided by editors. Through this kind of investigation the editors’ keywords emerged as more objective, but nevertheless, by considering some of the different evidences obtained from the keywords provided by authors, the two-step analysis is useful to provide more complete results.

<p>Generating sequences of characters using a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) is a tried and tested method for creating unique and context aware words, and is fundamental in Natural Language Processing tasks. These type of Neural Networks can also be used a question-answering system. The main drawback of most of these systems is that they work from a factoid database of information, and when queried about new and current information, the responses are usually bleak. In this paper, the author proposes a novel approach to finding answer keywords from a given body of news text or headline, based on the query that was asked, where the query would be of the nature of current affairs or recent news, with the use of Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) variant of RNNs. Thus, this ensures that the answers provided are relevant to the content of query that was put forth.</p>

Gretz, Peter Michael. "An Analysis of the Discrepancy Between What Potential Candidates for the Principalship Desire in the Job of Principal and What They Perceive to be Provided by the Job and the Extent to Which That Discrepancy Predicts the Attractiveness of the Principalship." Diss., Virginia Tech, 2012. http://hdl.handle.net/10919/77357.

Full text
Abstract:
The attractiveness of the principalship is a variable that may help explain why candidates do and do not pursue principal positions. This study sought to determine if a discrepancy exists between what potential principal candidates desire and what they believe to be true about the attributes of the job of principal, and if that discrepancy can predict the attractiveness of the principalship to prospective candidates. A researcher-developed instrument was administered to teachers who are currently enrolled in four principal preparation programs in Virginia. Survey items were related to the domains that explain the attractiveness of the principalship. An overall attractiveness score was measured using a Thurstone Scale of Equal Appearing Intervals. A demographic section was included to collect background information. Overall, respondents rated the principalship as somewhat attractive. The regression found that there were five predictors of the attractiveness of the principalship. School location and number of years in education, both demographic factors, were the most significant predictors. Discrepancies in what candidates desired and believed to be provided regarding recognition of achievement, the ability to form relationships, and opportunities for professional growth followed as significant predictors of job attractiveness.

Abstract:
Abstract In recent decades there has been increased immigration to New Zealand of women from East Africa. These countries have the highest prevalence rates (between 90-97%) of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) worldwide. FGM therefore has become part of the care experience of some New Zealand health providers. Information on FGM is available on the New Zealand Ministry of Health website. This study captures the experience of a group of East African women in Christchurch who have undergone FGM and given birth in Christchurch Hospitals. Two focus groups, each with ten women, were held so that women could talk about their health services experience. A narrative approach was adopted, listening to their stories in order to explore, to gain insight and to understand how these women felt during reproductive and antenatal care, childbirth and after childbirth. Interviews with three health providers sought their experiences of caring for women with FGM. The study identifies diverse potential explanations with the focus group members telling their stories and identifying issues related to FGM. Several short case histories are presented to illustrate these experiences. The thematic analysis reported four themes: satisfaction with clinical care, concern about infibulation, barriers to knowledge for women, and problems of cross-cultural communication. Health providers reported similar issues, with themes related to their own clinical experience, knowledge gaps, and need for greater cultural understanding and communication. These themes reflect the journey of the East African women with FGM in Christchurch and the challenges faced by them and their providers. This research recommends that women with FGM receive more education and support to manage their relationships with the health system and their own health. Health providers need continuing education and further support in the psychosocial, psychological and physical health needs of East African women living in Christchurch. Service outcomes should be evaluated.

Full text
Abstract:

Cultural competence has become an important topic since the society has evolved to be more multicultural, these societies have a big problem with their healthcare systems and it is said that primary care in Sweden must become better adjusted to the needs of minorities. The objective of this study was to investigate the degree of cultural competence in primary care in Sweden and to examine if the degree of cultural competence had a relation to the providers personality, gender, age ethnicity and educational level. Three different county councils were asked to participate but only one agreed. From 13 different primary care wards, 111 participants filled in three different instruments measuring personality, cultural competence and social desirability. The result of Pearson correlations, partial correlations, two-tailed independent t-tests and a χ²- test show that the degree of cultural competence is relatively low. Also, persons who are more conscientious and open, less neurotic, and educated at a university are more prone to be culturally competent. This investigation shows that there is a need to make individuals who work in primary care more aware of these issues. The focus should not lie on personnel level alone, but on organizational level as well.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between early intervention providers’ backgrounds, and their perceptions of caregiver coaching and auditory skill development, to develop professional development programs. An explanatory sequential design was used with participants of varying backgrounds and experience. In the first phase of the study, participants responded to a survey regarding their educational background, and their comfort with caregiver coaching and auditory skill development. Survey results were analyzed using Spearman’s Ranked Correlational Coefficient (Spearman’s rs) to form groups of participants from extreme cases. The second phase of the study consisted of participant interviews from each of the groups. Interviews were coded to identify themes present within and between groups. The information from both phases were analyzed to generate how professional preparation and certifications influence service delivery. Results were subsequently analyzed to determine potential improvements in the EI system, professional development, and policy.

The purpose of my work was to find out what experiences the students of Czech schools have with people with hearing impairments and how they orient themselves in this issue. This thesis is divided into two main parts: Theoretical and Practical. The theoretical part of my work is divided into twelve chapters, which are focused on surdopaedia, hearing impairment, diagnostics, hearing screening, education and last but not least communication, compensatory aids and specifics of social work. In the practical part I used the questionnaire to find out basic information from students from the Hussite Theological Faculty. I was wondering if there are students at the faculty who are interested in this issue and whether they would like to work with people with hearing impairment in the future.

Abstract:
What did it mean to be a stranger in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century England? How were other nations, cultures, and religions perceived? What happened when individuals moved between languages, countries, religions, and spaces? Keywords of Identity, Race, and Human Mobility analyses a selection of terms that were central to the conceptualisation of identity, race, migration, and transculturality in the early modern period. In many cases, the concepts and debates that they embody – or sometimes subsume – came to play crucial roles in the articulation of identity, rights, and power in subsequent periods. Together, the essays in this volume provide an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the development of these formative issues.

Full text
Abstract:
Exploring the roots of four keywords for our times: Europe, the citizen, the individual, and the people, Mariarosaria Gianninoto’s and James Underhill’s Migrating Meanings (2019) takes a broad view of conceptualization by taking on board various forms of English, (Scottish, American, and English), as well as other European languages (German, French, Spanish & Czech), and incorporating in-depth contemporary and historical accounts of Mandarin Chinese. The corpus-based research leads the authors to conclude that the English keywords are European concepts with roots in French and parallel traditions in German. But what happens to Chinese words when they come into contact with migrating meanings from Europe? How are existing concepts like the people transformed? This book goes beyond the cold analysis of concepts to scrutinize the keywords that move people and get them excited about individual rights and personal destinies. With economic, political and cultural globalisation, our world is inseparable from the fates of other nations and peoples. But how far can we trust English to provide us with a reliable lingua franca to speak about our world? If our keywords reflect our cultures and form parts of specific cultural and historical narratives, they may well trace the paths we take together into the future. This book helps us to understand how other languages are adapting to English words, and how their worldviews resist ‘anglo-concepts’ through their own traditions, stories and worldviews.

Focused preparation for Critical Care Certification is needed to ensure success. The Anesthesiology Critical Care Certification examination in particular provides an objective assessment from the perspective of physicians who have a keen perioperative mindset and skillset, while simultaneously demonstrating comfort in caring for patients from every background and co-morbidity as all such patients frequently eventually require pre-operative or post-operative management. The Anesthesiology Critical Care board review provides Critical Care Examination style stems with an emphasis on being oriented toward Anesthesiology Critical Care certification, though examination preparation for the Internal Medicine (Pulmonary Critical Care), Neurocritical Care and Surgical Critical Care could easily be achieved with this text as part of one’s preparation strategy. The authors provide clinical vignettes with realistic images and values to test one’s diagnostic and critical thinking approach to the perioperative patient. Furthermore, every chapter is authored by a physician board certified in critical care medicine. While most authors are anesthesiologists, our text includes content from intensivists with core training in Surgery and Neurology in order to provide a well-rounded perspective on the cases in this book. Much like ICU rounds, this book is systems based and covers the keywords listed by the American Board of Anesthesiology for certification in Critical Care Medicine. Finally, as each area of content is covered, reference materials are available for the reader to gain further expertise in each topical area. The author’s goal is the impart this text to the reader as a formidable tool for Critical Care Examination Preparation.

Abstract:
This chapter provides an ethnographic reading of New Deal food writing to understand the centrality of ethnic taste in 1930s sensory economies. Federal Writers' Project workers described ethnic food using well-known keywords such as “the melting pot” or “cosmopolitanism”—given the topic at hand and the pressing need to produce material, these were tempting tropes. Still, New Deal food writing coming from midwestern and western rural and industrial areas updated the paradigmatic metaphors and described a sensory cosmopolitanism where culinary encounters and working-class solidarities combined to create a cultural pluralist version of the melting pot. The chapter focuses on nodes of sensory trade such as workplaces, grocery stores, and ethnic restaurants, from foreign-themed nightclubs to working-class establishments and multiethnic diners.

Abstract:
The Oxford Handbook of Comparative Political Theory provides an entry point into this burgeoning field by both synthesizing and challenging the terms that motivate it. The handbook demonstrates how mainstream political theory can and must be enriched through attention to genuinely global, rather than parochially Euro-American, contributions to political thinking. Entries emphasize exploration of substantive questions about political life—ranging from domination to political economy to the politics of knowledge—in a range of global contexts, with attention to whether and how those questions may be shared, contested, or reformulated across differences of time, space, and experience. They connect comparative political theory to cognate disciplines including postcolonial theory, area studies, and comparative politics. Creative organizational tools such as tags and keywords aid in navigation of the handbook to help readers trace disruptions, thematic connections, contrasts, and geographic affinities across entries.

For this purpose, case studies of first and second language varieties of English are highlighted in which cognitive-linguistic notions have been fruitfully applied in this respect. The focus is on allophone variation from the perspective of the associated sociocultural meaning, the contribution of conceptual-metaphor and cultural-keyword research to the comparative study of varieties of English, and the manifestation of ‘cultural models’ in varieties that are rooted in markedly different cultural contexts.

Abstract:
AbstractThis chapter provides an overview of the strategies and responses to the educational challenges in Japan caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Systematic content analyses revealed an increase in the frequency of keywords (1) Global and Innovation Gateway for All (GIGA) school and (2) online education/online classroom in Japanese academic journals when the years 2019 and 2020 were compared. The GIGA School is a government-led project aiming to digitize education in primary and secondary education, and the promotion of the GIGA school project with infrastructure development as well as shifts to online education at all levels of education during the pandemic in Japan were found. Furthermore, the National Institute of Informatics has been hosting weekly online webinars to share the information pertaining to strategies and tips for effective online education, especially for higher education, since March 2020. In addition to government-led reactions, professional academic societies of educational technology have played an important role in maintaining effective education and learning, even during the pandemic. The case of the Japan Society for Educational Technology (JSET) has been presented to show the background of online education in Japan. The experiences of all researchers, practitioners, and students during the pandemic can provide an opportunity to upgrade our educational system for learning to be more effective and resistant to emergencies, regardless of the in-person or online application of the technology.

Abstract:
AbstractDigital transformation has become a recent keyword in the evolution of public sector modernization through the once-only principle (OOP). The once-only principle is among the seven driving principles in the eGovernment Action Plan 2016–2020 of the European Commission (EC). It requires that citizens and businesses need not to provide the same data to governments if that data is already in their hands. The ultimate goal of the principle is to reduce administrative burden and to simplify public service provisioning therewith also reducing costs and improving public service. To boost developments towards administrative burden reduction and simplification in public service provisioning, the SCOOP4C project has investigated good practice solutions across Europe. In this contribution, we provide an overview of good practice OOP cases and OOP enablers studied in the project, followed by a synthesis of the benefits and key enablers to boost the OOP implementation across Europe.

Abstract:
AbstractThe chapter presents a topic mining approach that can used for a scholarly data analysis. The idea here is that research topics can emerge through an analysis of epistemological aspects of scholar publications that are extracted from conventional publication metadata, such as the title, the author-assigned keywords, and the abstract. As a first contribution, we provide a conceptual analysis of research topic profiling according to the peculiar behaviours/trends of a given topic along a considered time interval. As a further contribution, we define a disciplined approach and the related techniques for topic mining based on the use of publication metadata and natural language processing (NLP) tools. The approach can be employed within a variety of topic analysis issues, such as country-oriented and/or field-oriented research analysis tasks that are based on scholarly publications. In this direction, to assess the applicability of the proposed techniques for use in a real scenario, a case study analysis based on two publication datasets (one national and one worldwide) is presented.

Abstract:
AbstractPasswords are the most widely used method for user authentication in HTTP websites. Password sniffing attacks are considered a common way to steal password. However, most existing methods have many deficiencies in versatility and automation, such as manual analysis, keyword matching, regular expression and SniffPass. In this paper, to better describe the problem, we propose a HTTP Sessions Password Sniffing (HSPS) attack model which is more suitable in HTTP environment. Furthermore, we propose PassEye, a novel deep neural networkbased implementation of HSPS attack. PassEye is a binary neural network classifier that learns features from the HTTP sessions and identifies Password Authentication Session (PAS). We collected 979,681 HTTP sessions from the HTTP and HTTPS websites for training the binary classifier. The results show that PassEye is effective in sniffing the passwords with an accuracy of 99.38%. In addition, several measures are provided to prevent HSPS attacks in the end.

AbstractTo gather public opinion data on sensitive topics in real-time, researchers are exploring the use of Internet search data such as Google Trends (GT). First, this chapter describes the characteristics and nature of GT data, and then provides a case study that examines the salience of perceived threats related to immigration in Germany based on the share of Google search queries that include language about these threats. Last, we discuss the advantages and possible challenges of utilizing GT data in social scientific research. We used the national polling results for the German right-wing party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD)—which runs on a largely anti-immigrant platform—as a criterion measure. GT data did not consistently predict polling data in the expected direction in real-time, but it was consistently predictive of future polling trends (35–104 weeks later) at a moderate level (r = .25–.50), although the size of the correlations varied across time periods and groups of keywords. Our mixed results highlight the low reliability of GT data, but also its largely untapped potential as a leading indicator of public opinion, especially on sensitive topics such as the perceived threats of immigration.

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to evaluate the customer satisfaction for mobile applications in the Turkish banking industry. For this purpose, the last 500 customer comments of 24 different Turkish deposit banks' mobile applications are analyzed with data mining approach. In this process, the most frequent one keyword, two keywords and three keywords are identified, and the most important dimensions are classified into four different categories. Secondly, IT2 fuzzy DEMATEL methodology is considered to weight these dimensions. The findings show that operational and usability are the most important dimensions regarding the customer satisfaction in mobile applications. This situation explains that customers give importance to the quality and variability of the services given by the mobile applications. Hence, it is recommended that different services, such as credit card payment and money transferring should be provided in these applications by the banks. Another important point is that these applications should be designed effectively so that the customer can easily make their operations.

Abstract:
The COVID-19 pandemic, with its medical, economic and social implications, provides a unique opportunity to investigate the endless creativity it gave rise to in all areas, including language, showing just how society can cope with a crisis situation unprecedented in its duration and seriousness. The analysis carried out in this paper shows what lexical resources French provided to put into words a situation which utterly transformed behaviour and social norms. Certain typical keywords have been selected for analysis from the latest edition of a general language reference dictionary, „Le Petit Larousse illustré” 2022, including neologisms of meaning („confinement”), neologisms of form („quatorzaine”), direct or indirect loans and equivalents proposed („COVID-19”, „distanciation socjale”…). There are no playful occasionalisms to speak of in the dictionary corpus. The impact of the crisis situation on the reception of loanwords from English is also evaluated.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to provide a bibliometric analysis of customer engagement (CE) research in the period 2006-2021 by using the PRISMA protocol for systematic reviews and by relying on a set of CE-related keywords. Bibliometric analysis refers to the quantitative study of bibliographic material that provides a general picture of a research field. By using a bibliometric analysis, the most relevant research in a particular field can be provided and the newest research trends can be identified. This study will provide a detailed overview of the evolution of relevant literature and the status of CE research over the past 15 years by using VOSviewer software for creating, visualizing, and exploring bibliometric maps of science. The concept of CE emerged in the marketing literature around 2005 followed by an increased number of research conducted in various contexts and fields, from customer and firm perspectives, etc., linking customer engagement to different marketing concepts such as customer satisfaction. Additionally, some of the researchers conceptualized customer engagement as a behavioral concept whereas others conceptualized it as a psychological concept. Based on the need for further clarification of this concept, a systematic review through bibliometric analysis was conducted and the results of descriptive analysis (distribution of articles by year, top five journals based on the number of published articles, top ten most cited articles, and country co-authorship network visualization) are presented. Additionally, the results from keywords co-occurrence analysis based on text mining in the abstracts are shown. Moreover, a machine learning algorithm for logistic regression in Power BI Desktop was performed to identify independent variables associated with greater citations of CE research. The results of the performed bibliometric analysis can be used by marketing scholars as a basis for future CE research.

Abstract:
The type and complexity of products designed by small and large teams have drastically changed due to advancements in digital design tools, manufacturing process technology and connectivity afforded by the internet. Finding available and reliable manufacturers is time consuming and is often tasked to sourcing agents who scour through existing supplier databases or found using keywords through web search. In this paper, we investigate 3D shapes augmented with product manufacturing information (PMI) as the key source to match user request to appropriate manufacturers who are capable of completing a job. The key challenges are gathering data about manufacturers’ capabilities, obtaining data with regards to the models that they have produced in the past and then finally matching algorithms to work with product engineering models. We present a solution approach that addresses portions of this challenge by building a search engine system that supports user queries based on 3D models and/or manufacturing process related text keywords. To enable text based queries, we built a web-crawler that searched through thousands of websites owned by job shop service manufacturers, extracted discriminating text from their public webpages and indexed them to create a capability profile about a job shop service provider. For 3D model based queries, we extended the original spherical harmonics based 3D shape search to match parts that also share tolerance information tagged to the user provided 3D model. The approach provides us with discriminative power in identifying objects that also share similar GD&T call outs on the model as they can often entail various additional process plans. We have tested our approach against a repository of 200 models and text data collected from websites of manufacturers. Our results show that that we are able to identify parts fairly quickly given a multi-modal user input. Future work must involve testing it against much larger data sets for robustness and wide scale applicability.

Abstract:
The content of this short essay aims to collect some insights provided by José Ortega y Gasset on happiness. The Spanish thinker does not dedicate a systematic work to the deepening of this important issue, but nevertheless he provides some interesting considerations for a more detailed and meticulous study on this subject. In fact, there are not many points in Ortega’s work in which he directly provides his own considerations on happiness, but the observations granted by the philosopher are interesting for our contemporary meditation. The thoughts here reconstructed in expressive unity converge starting from some specific points of Ortega’s opera omnia. This work of reconstruction and essential synthesis is intended to offer a philosophical contribution to the most comprehensive and organic reflection on happiness. The implicit hope contained in this text would like to leave available this questioning both for its existentialist dimensions and for its anthropological and sociological openings, which constitutively belong to the discussion of happiness. The continuous improvement in technology underscores the critical need for an efficient home security system to address the prevailing security concerns (such as intrusion and fire outbreaks) in homes. Noticeably, automated home security systems that rely on PIR sensors, smoke sensors, microcontrollers, and android enabled remote monitoring features have huge advantages over manual systems. These automated systems increase the possibility of eradicating security fears in homes by providing homeowners with a good sense of security each time they are away from their homes. This paper reviewed some of the existing techniques previously used to implement advanced home security systems and present a system that notifies homeowners in the event of an intrusion or fire incident in their homes. Abstract:
STEM-education is a modern effective approach that nowadays can be interpreted in very different ways and it even has some modification (STEM/STEAM/STREAM). Anyway, the “New Ukrainian school” concept includes approaches similar to STEM-education. However, there wasn’t analyzed the current state of STEM-education in Ukraine. We propose to analyses it by using SEO analysis of one of the most popular STEM-oriented cloud environment in Ukraine stemua.science. It is proposed to use the cycle for cloud-based educational environments (publishing/SEO analysis/team’s brainstorm/prediction/creation of further plan) to improve their efficiency. It is found, that STEM-based and traditional publications are characterized by similar demand of educational process stakeholders. However, the way how teachers and students found the publication proves that traditional keywords (47.99 %) used significantly more common than STEM keywords (2.67 %). Therefore, it is proved that STEM-methods are less in demand than traditional ones. However, considering the huge positive effect of the STEM method, stemua.science cloud educational environment provides a positive effect on the educational process by including the STEM-aspects during finding traditional approaches of education by stakeholders of the educational process.

Abstract:
Background: In an era of explosive growth in biomedical evidence, improving systematic review (SR) search processes is increasingly critical. Text-mining tools (TMTs) are a potentially powerful resource to improve and streamline search strategy development. Two types of TMTs are especially of interest to searchers: word frequency (useful for identifying most used keyword terms, e.g., PubReminer) and clustering (visualizing common themes, e.g., Carrot2). Objectives: The objectives of this study were to compare the benefits and trade-offs of searches with and without the use of TMTs for evidence synthesis products in real world settings. Specific questions included: (1) Do TMTs decrease the time spent developing search strategies? (2) How do TMTs affect the sensitivity and yield of searches? (3) Do TMTs identify groups of records that can be safely excluded in the search evaluation step? (4) Does the complexity of a systematic review topic affect TMT performance? In addition to quantitative data, we collected librarians' comments on their experiences using TMTs to explore when and how these new tools may be useful in systematic review search¬¬ creation. Methods: In this prospective comparative study, we included seven SR projects, and classified them into simple or complex topics. The project librarian used conventional “usual practice” (UP) methods to create the MEDLINE search strategy, while a paired TMT librarian simultaneously and independently created a search strategy using a variety of TMTs. TMT librarians could choose one or more freely available TMTs per category from a pre-selected list in each of three categories: (1) keyword/phrase tools: AntConc, PubReMiner; (2) subject term tools: MeSH on Demand, PubReMiner, Yale MeSH Analyzer; and (3) strategy evaluation tools: Carrot2, VOSviewer. We collected results from both MEDLINE searches (with and without TMTs), coded every citation’s origin (UP or TMT respectively), deduplicated them, and then sent the citation library to the review team for screening. When the draft report was submitted, we used the final list of included citations to calculate the sensitivity, precision, and number-needed-to-read for each search (with and without TMTs). Separately, we tracked the time spent on various aspects of search creation by each librarian. Simple and complex topics were analyzed separately to provide insight into whether TMTs could be more useful for one type of topic or another. Results: Across all reviews, UP searches seemed to perform better than TMT, but because of the small sample size, none of these differences was statistically significant. UP searches were slightly more sensitive (92% [95% confidence intervals (CI) 85–99%]) than TMT searches (84.9% [95% CI 74.4–95.4%]). The mean number-needed-to-read was 83 (SD 34) for UP and 90 (SD 68) for TMT. Keyword and subject term development using TMTs generally took less time than those developed using UP alone. The average total time was 12 hours (SD 8) to create a complete search strategy by UP librarians, and 5 hours (SD 2) for the TMT librarians. TMTs neither affected search evaluation time nor improved identification of exclusion concepts (irrelevant records) that can be safely removed from the search set. Conclusion: Across all reviews but one, TMT searches were less sensitive than UP searches. For simple SR topics (i.e., single indication–single drug), TMT searches were slightly less sensitive, but reduced time spent in search design. For complex SR topics (e.g., multicomponent interventions), TMT searches were less sensitive than UP searches; nevertheless, in complex reviews, they identified unique eligible citations not found by the UP searches. TMT searches also reduced time spent in search strategy development. For all evidence synthesis types, TMT searches may be more efficient in reviews where comprehensiveness is not paramount, or as an adjunct to UP for evidence syntheses, because they can identify unique includable citations. If TMTs were easier to learn and use, their utility would be increased.

Abstract:
Ensuring Equity and Excellence for English Learners: An Annotated Bibliography for Research, Policy, and Practice is comprised of over 350 annotations from both recent and seminal literature (released between 1984–2021) that have significant implications for research, policy, and practice for English learner (EL) linguistic, social, and academic achievement. This annotated bibliography serves as a resource for researchers, policymakers, educators, and advocates who are working for equity and excellence for ELs. The authors provide a comprehensive selection of works focused on theory, research, and practice. The annotations are a result of purposeful searches of 23 topics in empirical and theoretical articles from peer-reviewed journals, books, book chapters, and reports from leading scholars in the field. Among the topics addressed relevant to EL education are broad areas such as: bilingual teacher preparation, teaching and professional development, university and district partnerships, digital learning for ELs, social emotional development, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and English Language Development (ELD) for elementary and secondary level students. The Integrated ELD (content instruction) topic is subcategorized according to specific disciplines including: English language arts, history, mathematics, science, visual & performing arts, and STEM. In order to provide additional information for readers, each annotation includes: (1) the source description (e.g., book, journal article, report), (2) type of source (e.g., empirical, guidance, theoretical), and (3) keywords.
