Abstract:

The trial was carried out in the Bersano estate (Nizza Monferrato, Piemonte, Italy) in different vineyards (Generala, Cremosina and Monteolivo) devoted to the production of DOCG Nizza, the newest and highly reputed Barbera denomination. For Bersano, this research provided access to scientific information and tools to valorise its Nizza wines and to characterize and select some sub-zones. The study investigated the effect of natural terroir attributes on vine behaviour and grape composition of cv. Barbera. Conducted in 2017, the tests included phenological phases, vegetative growth, chlorophyll and gas exchange measures. Maturation curves were also developed to better understand the time course of berry ripening, from fruit-set to harvest and statistical relationships were studied. The vineyards presented different climatic and soil conditions which influenced bud burst, shoot growth and plant photosynthesis; concerning soil properties, texture was the main differentiating factor. During the growing season, the berries followed the normal growth pattern, but an extreme drop occurred at harvest due to high diurnal temperatures. Ripening curves showed dissimilarities between the three studied vineyards, i.e. TSS, berry mass, total anthocyanins and total phenols. La Generala presented the best viticulture features regarding the vine performance and grape composition.

Il tema della tutela contro il licenziamento illegittimo nell'ordinamento dell'UE č affrontato dall'autore proponendo una lettura dinamica dell'art. 30 della Carta di Nizza che tiene conto di quanto emerge dalle altre fonti sovranazionali sul tema, in particolare dalla Carta Sociale Europea riveduta nel 1996 e dalla giurisprudenza del Comitato europeo dei diritti sociali che ne monitora l'applicazione. Ciň permette di contraddire la consolidata interpretazione riduttiva della norma della Carta in base alla quale essa si limiterebbe a porre un generale principio di giustificazione del licenziamento senza porre sostanziali limiti alla discrezionalitŕ statale nell'identificare il tipo di giustificazione e di sanzioni applicabili. Nell'ultima parte del saggio, si rende conto del modo con cui il tema del licenziamento viene affrontato nell'ambito della nuova governance economica europea e, con riferimen- to all'ordinamento italiano, dell'influenza che questa ha avuto nel processo di riforma sfociato nella l. n. 92/2012. Ciň anche al fine di valutare se ed in che misura la Carta di Nizza abbia giocato un ruolo nel guidare l'azione delle istituzioni europee e del legislatore nazionale.

Barbera d’Asti—including Barbera d’Asti superiore—and Nizza are two DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita) wines produced in Piemonte (Italy) from the Barbera grape variety. Differences among them arise in the production specifications in terms of purity, ageing, and zone of production, in particular with concern to Nizza, which follows the most stringent rules, sells at three times the average price, and is considered to have the highest market value. To guarantee producers and consumers, authentication methods must be developed in order to distinguish among the different wines. As the production zones totally overlap, it is important to verify whether the distinction is possible or not according to metals content, or whether chemical markers more linked to winemaking are needed. In this work, Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) elemental analysis and multivariate data analysis are used to study the authentication and traceability of samples from the three designations of 2015 vintage. The results show that, as far as elemental distribution in wine is concerned, work in the cellar, rather than geographic provenance, is crucial for the possibility of distinction.

Abstract. The paper discusses the correlation between the heating of shallow groundwater over a 10 × 20 km wide area close to the town of Nizza Monferrato (Piemonte Region, Northern Italy) and the concomitant local seismic sequences during the period August 2000 – July 2001. The first seismic sequence started on 21 August 2000 with a Ml = 5.2 earthquake. Within few hours, the local authorities received calls alerting that the groundwater temperature rose from 10 to 30°C in many shallow wells. Our geochemical experimental data and the geological-seismotectonic framework do not allow the hypothesis of simple fluid mixing between the thermal reservoir of Acqui Terme and the Nizza-Monferrato shallow groundwater to explain the observed thermal anomalies. On the other hand, we invoke more complex processes such as frictional heating, mechano-chemistry, fault-valve mechanism, adiabatic decompression and hydrogeologically driven heat flow i.e., thermal effects due to variations of basin-scale permeability field. All these processes are able to transmit heat to the surface and to generate a transient incremental heat flow better than the mass transfer occurring typically when fluids from different reservoirs mix.

Hier wurden die Erkenntnisse auf dem Gebiet der PH der letzten 5 Jahre nach Aufarbeitung und Diskussion über einen längeren Vorbereitungszeitraum von 13 Arbeitsgruppen präsentiert und in der Folge zum Jahreswechsel 2018/2019 publiziert. Einer der seither intensiv diskutierten Vorschläge ist der einer Änderung der hämodynamischen Definition der PH mit Absenkung des Grenzwertes für den mittleren pulmonalarteriellen Druck von ≥ 25 auf > 20 mmHg, gemessen im Rechtsherzkatheter in Ruhe. Zusätzlich wurde der pulmonalvaskuläre Widerstand in die PH-Definition aufgenommen, was die Wichtigkeit der Bestimmung des Herzzeitvolumens während der Rechtsherzkatheteruntersuchung unterstreicht.Die Rationale sowie mögliche Auswirkungen der neuen PH-Definition, zu welchen zwischenzeitlich bereits neue Publikationen erschienen sind, möchten wir in diesem Übersichtsartikel diskutieren. Ferner ist ein aktueller Überblick zur nicht-invasiven und invasiven Diagnostik der PH enthalten, in welchem auf den Stellenwert der Methoden für Diagnostik, Differenzialdiagnostik und Prognose sowie weitere Neuerungen der 6. PH-Weltkonferenz eingegangen wird. Ergänzt haben wir einen Abschnitt zum Stellenwert von Belastungsuntersuchungen für das Erkennen und die Verlaufsbeurteilung der PH, welche bei der Diskussion in Nizza und in den nachfolgenden Publikationen zumindest erwähnt, aber nicht ausführlicher besprochen wurden.

This essay deals with a number of Italian and Austrian films produced around the mid-1930s as a result of the cinematic cooperation that developed between Rome and Vienna at the time. The essay’s goal is to investigate a complex chapter in the history of Italian and Austrian film which has yet received little attention. The Austro-Italian cooperation in the field of film, which developed against the backdrop of the political alliance between Fascist Italy and Austria’s so-called Corporate State, involved some of the biggest names in Italian and Austrian cinema of the time, including Italian directors Carmine Gallone, Augusto Genina and Goffredo Alessandrini, Viennese screenwriter Walter Reisch, and Italian novelist Corrado Alvaro. In particular, the essay will consider the Italian film Casta Diva (1935) and its debt to one of the most famous Austrian productions of the 1930s, Willi Forst’s film Leise flehen meine Lieder (1933). Further films to be discussed include Tagebuch der Geliebten (1935), Una donna tra due mondi (1936), Opernring (1936), and Blumen aus Nizza (1936). Tagebuch der Geliebten was based on the diary of Russian painter Marie Bashkirtseff, who lived in Paris in the late 19th century. Una donna tra due mondi starred Italian diva Isa Miranda, Opernring Polish tenor Jan Kiepura, Blumen aus Nizza German singer Erna Sack.These films should be truly regarded as transnational productions, in which various cultural traditions and stylistic influences coalesced. By investigating them, this essay aims to shed light on a crucial period in the history of European cinema.

Il diritto al reddito minimo garantito č un diritto fondamentale di matrice europea perché cosě riconosciuto sia dalla Carta di Nizza che dalla Carta sociale europea. Inoltre, ledell'UE lo hanno da tempo previsto come base per la lotta all'esclusione sociale sino ad integrarlo nel 2007 nei principi comuni di, asse di riferimento anche per la nuova Strategia 2020, che ha preso il posto della. La natura di diritto sociale fondamentale, diretto a salvaguardare la dignitŕ della persona, come precisato in alcune recenti Risoluzioni del Parlamento europeo, esclude modalitŕ irragionevolmente condizionate e lesive dell'autonomia delle persone nella garanzia delle prestazioni. Nonostante le univoche indicazioni sovranazionali l'Italia č l'unico Paese dell'UE, insieme a Grecia ed Ungheria, a non avere alcuno schema di reddito minimo. Solo le Regioni hanno cercato di rispondere alle ripetute sollecitazioni dell'Unione, in particolare la Regione Lazio, con un provvedimento del 2009, ormai decaduto. Tuttavia, le emergenze determinate dalla crisi economica e dell'euro potrebbero spingere l'Unione ad adottare una normativa propria e vincolante che rafforzi la solidarietŕ e la coesione sociale interna.

I violenti temporali dell'ottobre 2020 hanno causato gravi danni al territorio della valle della Roya, una zona transfrontaliera di media montagna tra Francia e Italia. La linea ferroviaria Nizza-Ventimiglia-Breil-Cuneo, che attraversa questo territorio, è stata l'unica infrastruttura in grado di rispondere all'emergenza e ha riaperto il dibattito sul riuso delle stazioni ferroviarie, un importante patrimonio del XX secolo, oggi in gran parte abbandonato. L'articolo si propone di analizzare e mettere in prospettiva le esperienze di innovazione socio-spaziale che permettono all'infrastruttura ferroviaria di rivelarsi come una risorsa territoriale, capace di proporre nuove pratiche di vita in armonia con l'ambiente costruito e naturale.

Kartographie Nicht nur Meer und Berge, auch die Gebirgsformationen von Alpen und Apennin stoßen in Ligurien zusammen. Beide Gebiete bestehen überwiegend aus Sedimentgestein, das heißt aus Ablagerungen eines älteren Ozeans. Orogenese – Gebirgsentstehung – und politische Geschichte im Anthropozän bilden demnach Allianzen, die den Blick auf die Kartographie eines «Ligurischen Komplexes» herausfordern, das Klima umfassen und auf Ökologie, Ökonomie und Ästhetiken zurückwirken. 1815 wurde der Küstenstreifen zwischen Nizza und La Spezia zusammen mit seinem bergigen Hinterland – weitgehend das heutige Ligurien – Teil des Königreiches Sardinien. Unter den Savoia fand ab 1816 eine Kartierung des Herrschaftsgebiets in mehreren Teilen statt. Die abgebildete Karte zeigt den westlich von Genua gelegenen Abschnitt der ligurischen «Landschaft», die Ponente.

L’articolo presenta l’edizione critica di alcune brevi preghiere in provenzale e delle “indicazioni per l’uso”, trascritte a c. 1v del manoscritto Bibliothèque de l’Arsenal 99, ad oggi inedite. Lo studio è corredato da un’analisi linguistica che indica la regione di Nizza come l’area di provenienza delle stesse; la presentazione segue l’ordine classico di grafia, fonetica, morfologia, con qualche cenno al lessico. Inoltre, si approfondisce e in qualche punto si corregge la descrizione codicologico-paleografica del manoscritto, assegnandolo al primo terzo del XV secolo. Tale operazione si è resa necessaria al fine di una migliore comprensione della fisionomia culturale del possessore del codice, nonché autore del breve testo volgare.

ZusammenfassungDie Ende 2015 veröffentlichten ESC/ERS-Leitlinien und andere internationale Empfehlungen definierten die pulmonale Hypertonie (PH) bisher durch einen invasiv gemessenen mittleren pulmonal arteriellen Druck (mPAP) ≥ 25 mmHg in Ruhe. Auf dem 6th World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension in Nizza wurde eine Modifikation dieser hämodynamischen Definition im Sinne einer Senkung des Schwellenwertes auf > 20 mmHg vorgeschlagen. Für die präkapilläre PH wird zusätzlich ein pulmonaler Gefäßwiderstand (PVR) ≥ 3 Wood-Einheiten (WE) gefordert. Diese Änderung muss im Hinblick auf die zugrunde liegende Rationale und mögliche Konsequenzen kritisch hinterfragt werden; es bedarf daher einer eingehenden Erläuterung. Insbesondere muss klargestellt werden, dass diese Änderung aktuell keinen Einfluss auf die evidenzbasierte und zulassungskonforme Verschreibung von Medikamenten zur gezielten Therapie der pulmonal arteriellen Hypertonie (PAH) hat.

Resumo Este artigo trata da filosofia eclética de Victor Cousin conforme seus repetidores brasileiros do início do século XIX: Silvestre Pinheiro Pereira e frei Francisco do Monte Alverne. O objetivo principal é estudar as relações entre o ecletismo e a retórica em prol da justificação dos limites, da dispersão e da superficialidade do debate filosófico local. Revisando as obras de Antônio Paim, Laerte Ramos de Carvalho e Maria Beatriz Nizza da Silva, destacou-se, especialmente, alguns pressupostos filosóficos do pensamento do célebre orador sagrado e padre-mestre Monte Alverne, tendo em vista o papel da Igreja católica como um dos principais veículos de difusão e produção do conhecimento em território luso-brasileiro, mediante o processo que ficou conhecido como missão civilizatória. Como resultado, encontramos na eloquência nacional o germe de um "Tempo Saquarema", em que as mesmas palavras serviriam a diferentes posições políticas.

Zusammenfassung Eine pathologische Druckerhöhung im pulmonalen Gefäßsystem (pulmonale Hypertonie, PH) wurde bisher definiert durch einen invasiv gemessenen mittleren pulmonalarteriellen Druck (mPAP) ≥25 mm Hg in Ruhe. Auf dem 6th World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension (WSPH) in Nizza 2018 wurde eine neue Definition der PH vorgeschlagen, die die Senkung der Obergrenze des normalen mPAP von 24 auf 20 mm Hg beinhaltet. Obwohl keine Evidenz aus pädiatrischen Studien hierfür vorliegt, wurde diese neue PH-Definition (mPAP >20 mm Hg) aus Gründen der Einheitlichkeit auch von der pädiatrischen „Task Force“ des WSPH 2018 übernommen. Die vorliegende Stellungnahme der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Pulmonale Hypertonie (AGPH) der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Kardiologie und angeborene Herzfehler e. V. (DGPK) erläutert die zugrunde liegende Rationale und mögliche Konsequenzen dieser Definitionsänderung. Abstract:

During apartheid, a documentary film movement emerged, capturing ordinary people taking on the oppressive government and the exploitative capitalist industry. People were shown at work and in their communities organizing strikes, protesting against repression, and being subjected to violence. This grassroots film movement, which has been described as a cinema of resistance, served as a tool to educate viewers, document violence and inequality, and mobilize support against the apartheid regime. Two decades after the end of apartheid, a similar set of resistance films has begun to emerge – with the difference that these films are holding the democratically elected government accountable. These documentaries give voice to the disenfranchised masses for whom the multiracial democracy has not brought substantial change. The African National Congress-led government has sanctioned actions echoing those that occurred under apartheid, including forced removals and the massacre of protestors.Two films, Dear Mandela (Kell and Nizza, 2012) and Miners Shot Down (Desai, 2014), capture this and are indicative of a new wave of resistance documentaries.

La Convenzione di Oviedo del 1997 ha creato regole basilari ed uniformi in tema di consenso libero ed informato. Nonostante siano passati vent’anni, pochi Stati hanno firmato e ratificato la Convenzione. Oggi però la Carta dei diritti fondamentali di Nizza del 2000 ed il Trattato di Lisbona del 2007, riformando profondamente l’Unione Europea, possono dare finalmente alla Convenzione di Oviedo l’auspicata attuazione interna, seppur in modo indiretto. Il contributo affronta il tema dell’articolato contesto storico e giuridico delle fonti di questa Convenzione. ---------- The Oviedo Convention of 1997 has established fundamental and uniform rules in reference to free and informed consent. Even though twenty years have passed, few States have signed and ratified the Convention. Anyway, today’s the Charter of Fundamental Rights of 2000 and the Treaty of Lisbon of 2007, reforming deeply the European Union, can finally give the hoped implementation to the Convention of Oviedo, at least indirectly. The contribution deals with the articulated historical and juridical context of the sources related to the Convention.

Il presente contributo, muovendo dal rilievo ampiamente condiviso che il sistema di tutela dei diritti umani in ambito europeo fa perno sulla giurisprudenza della Corte Europea dei Diritti dell'Uomo e della Corte di Giustizia, si concentra sull'esame di alcuni aspetti di contesto, sovente lasciati sullo sfondo, ma che appaiono invece essenziali per la stessa comprensione del fenomeno. Si tratta, precisamente, delle modalitŕ di nomina dei giudici, dello stile delle sentenze, dell'esistenza di una regola del precedente e dei modi del suo operare. L'analisi svolge poi alcune considerazioni sul tema dei rapporti tra le due Corti, soprattutto alla luce della adesione dell'Unione alla Convenzione europea a seguito dell'entrata in vigore del cd. Trattato di Lisbona, che riconosce lo stesso valore giuridico dei trattati alla Carta dei diritti fondamentali dell'Unione Europea approvata a Nizza nel 2000 (art. 6 TUE). Alla luce del contesto cosě ricostruito, vengono svolti rilievi critici sulle modalitŕ attraverso cui i giudici italiani si rapportano alla giurisprudenza convenzionale e comunitaria.

O objetivo central deste texto é discutir o processo de inclusão das crianças pobres, negras e mestiças na escola elementar a partir da prerrogativa constitucional de extensão da escolarização a todos os cidadãos brasileiros, com ênfase nos estudos sobre a província de Minas Gerais. Com base em larga investigação documental (relatos de governo, legislação, ofícios e correspondências diversas, mapas estatísticos de população, registros de frequência escolar) e bibliográfica (Norbert Elias, Georges Rudé, Bronislaw Geremek, Georges Duby, Maria Beatriz Nizza da Silva), foi possível analisar as tensões e os conflitos para a efetivação da obrigatoriedade escolar, devido às condições materiais e especificidades culturais da população. Tais conflitos manifestaram-se de distintas maneiras, indicando embates entre famílias, professores e gestores do ensino. A hipótese levantada é a de que a precariedade do desenvolvimento da escola pública no Brasil, ao longo do século XIX, esteve associada à também precária condição de vida da população. Esse fato interferiu no entendimento quanto às possibilidades de escolarização das crianças pobres, negras e mestiças e quanto à qualidade de sua inserção social.

A due secoli dall'avvio del costituzionalismo liberal-democratico, l'ordinamento giudiziario sembrerebbe aver compiutamente realizzato la sua parabola, vedendosi riconosciuto come potere dello Stato (autonomo e indipendente), mediante previsioni costituzionali espresse o anche sulla base di mere disposizioni legislative. In tale quadro, l'analisi affronta le tematiche della ‘giurisdizione' e della ‘giustizia' nell'ottica del diritto dell'Unione europea, sottolineando gli effetti giuridici prodotti dall'art. 6 del Trattato di Lisbona (con l'incorporazione sostanziale della Carta dei diritti fondamentali dell'UE all'interno dei nuovi trattati e con l'adesione alla CEDU da parte dell'Unione). Secondo quanto viene osservato, tuttavia, l'esperienza degli ordinamenti europei, nel fondo, non consente di poter cogliere una tradizione costituzionale comune agli Stati membri (per come affermato dalla Corte di Giustizia dell'UE) quanto piuttosto la garanzia in tutti gli ordinamenti nazionali, nella CEDU e ora nell'art. 47 della Carta di Nizza/Strasburgo, del diritto del soggetto ad un ricorso effettivo dinanzi ad una autoritŕ giurisdizionale, indipendente e imparziale, precostituita per legge, nel quadro di un processo equo, garantito nel contraddittorio, ragionevole nella durata.

O texto objetiva discutir, em uma perspectiva de longa duração, a experiência histórico-social de violência contra as mulheres no sertão piauiense, observando de que forma, do período colonial até a contemporaneidade, este processo se desdobra e se ressignifica, analisando, dessa maneira, tal violência como um fenômeno complexo e multi-diversificado, que abrange diferentes classes sociais, bem como cor, idade, região, escolaridade e estado civil. O argumento central desenvolvido atrela o processo em questão aos dispositivos de poder, geralmente masculinos, que configuram diferentes práticas de violência, tais como espancamentos, intimidações, humilhações e menosprezos, com a intenção de assujeitar mulheres. Entretanto, o poder é relacional, difuso, se por um lado existe a dominação masculina, por outro lado, existem as resistências femininas, elas ergueram suas vozes, deixaram claro que suas vivências e experiências não foram subservientes. Em termos teóricos, o texto se articula em torno de autores/as tais como Fernand Braudel, Michel Foucault, Walter Benjamin, Joan Scott e Pierre Ansart. Quanto à historiografia, dialoga com autores/as tais como Maria Beatriz Nizza da Silva, Maria Lúcia Mott, Mary Del Priore e Aníbal Quijano.

The Maremmano horse is considered one of the most important Italian warmblood breeds which originated from an ancient population. In 1980, the National Association of Maremmano Breeders established the first Studbook that recorded 440 dams and four sire founders. In this study, we selected the most significant maternal lines in terms of offspring (for a total of 74 lineages and 92 Maremmano horses) and analyzed their mitochondrial DNA control regions. We found a high variability, reflecting the importance of this local breed as a genetic resource to be preserved. Through multiple sampling, we then verified the pedigree information for 12 dam lines by matching genealogical data with mitochondrial haplotypes. A complete concordance was demonstrated in nine lineages, while for the other we highlighted a different number of haplotypes for each line (three in Fiorella, two in Nizza I, and two in Pomposina), thus suggesting that the information recorded in the Studbook could be wrong and the samples do not descend from the same maternal founder. Our combined analysis provides the opportunity to confirm the ancestry of animals and could be employed to prevent errors in pedigree data also for other breeds and species.

L'articolo pone a confronto due siti recentemente iscritti nella Lista del patrimonio mondiale Unesco - La Chaux-de-Fonds/Le Locle e Nizza - focalizzandosi sui modi in cui le storie della pianificazione urbana del primo Ottocento sono state mobilitate nella costruzione di narrazioni pubbliche associate al patrimonio urbano. Per quanto simili narrazioni possano apparire discutibili se confrontate con l'evidenza documentaria disponibile, esse sembrano anche capaci di assumere un ruolo di stimolo per l'emergere di nuove ricerche su temi finora scarsamente osservati. I casi di studio offrono un interessante punto di vista per approfondire i legami reciproci che potenzialmente esistono tra storie urbane accademiche da un lato e narrazioni socialmente condivise del cambiamento urbano dall'altro. Se osservati insieme, questi due siti Unesco mostrano la necessità di un riesame comparativo della storia dei piani di primo Ottocento basati sulla griglia, specialmente nell'Europa napoleonica. Già interpretati come l'esito di teorie urbane implicite che privilegiavano l'organizzazione razionale, l'iniziativa individuale, la distribuzione uniforme delle opportunità, questi piani sostennero di fatto una notevole pluralità di immaginari sociali - ben esemplificata in questo caso dalla contrapposizione tra piani concepiti come supporto per il turismo internazionale e le attività di svago lungo la costa francese, e un piano concepito come supporto alla produzione industriale tra le montagne svizzere.

Al margine del “vertice” di Nizza, il 27 dicembre 2000 il Consiglio Europeo ha proposto al Parlamento Europeo ed alla Commissione di proclamare solennemente, insieme al Consiglio, la “Carta dei Diritti fondamentali dell’Unione Europea” (UE), elaborata da un Gruppo di lavoro in base al mandato ricevuto nel 1999 dal medesimo Consiglio. Il documento ha indubbia valenza “politica” per dotare l’UE di una più definita base giuridica e sotto alcuni aspetti “costituzionale”, proposta per rafforzare il consenso dei cittadini dei vari Stati europei che già fanno parte dell’UE ed orientare il sentire di quelli che – già - rappresentati in Consiglio d’Europa - saranno ammessi a farvi parte. La base dei fattori unificanti viene sostanzialmente individuata nei “diritti dell’uomo”, storicamente sviluppatisi sia nei riguardi della promozione della individualità che della socialità dell’uomo nel corso del XX secolo. L’articolo riprende attraverso l’esame della recente letteratura nazionale le opinioni espresse sulla “Carta”, ma si sofferma in particolare sugli aspetti bioetici emergenti dall’art. 1 (Dignità umana); art. 2 (Diritto alla vita); art. 3 (Diritto all’integrità della persona). Ciascuno di questi articoli, nell’annunciare i “valori” e corrispondenti “diritti”, si rifà alla concezione giuridica tradizionale della “persona”, dalla quale può derivare l’insufficiente tutela della fase prenatale della vita umana. Questo non può non suscitare preoccupazioni e riserve di fronte ad un documento che, per altri aspetti, sembra utile per consentire uno sviluppo europeo non limitato agli aspetti mercantili.

Abstract:

In this study, the evolution of the yeast microflora present on the berry surface, during the ripening of Barbera grapes, was monitored. Sampling was performed in three vineyards located in the “Nizza” Barbera d’Asti DOC zone and different methodologies have been employed. A culture-dependent method based on the identification of strains grown on solid media by ARDRA (Amplified Ribosomal DNA Restriction Analysis) and the D1-D2 domain of ribosomal 26S DNA capillary sequencing was coupled to NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) targeting ITS (Internal Transcribed Sequence) amplicons with the Illumina MiSeq platform. By using culture-dependent techniques, the most frequently detected species was the yeast-like fungus Aureobasidium pullulans, which was dominant in the culturable fraction. Among yeasts, the presence of oligotrophic basidiomycetes such as Cryptococcus spp., Rhodotorula graminis and Sporidiobolus pararoseus was observed at the beginning of ripening. Afterward, upon approaching the harvest, a succession of oxidative or weakly fermentative copiotrophic species occurs, such as Saturnispora diversa, Issatchenkia terricola, Hanseniaspora opuntiae, Starmerella bacillaris and Hanseniaspora uvarum. The massive sequencing revealed a larger number of species, respect to the culture-dependent data. Comparing the two different approaches used in this work, it is possible to highlight some similarities since Aureobasidium, Rhodotorula and Sporobolomyces were detected by both methods. On the contrary, genera Hanseniaspora, Issatchenkia and Saturnispora were revealed by culture-dependent methods, but not by NGS, while Saccharomyces spp. were identified, with low frequency, only by NGS. The integrated application of NGS sequencing and culture-dependent techniques provides a comprehensive view of mycodiversity in the wine-growing environment, especially for yeasts with low abundance.

Nonostante le pari opportunità in ambito lavorativo siano state oggetto di attenzione già nel Trattato di Roma istitutivo della Comunità Economica Europea, ancora oggi la parità salariale in Europa è un traguardo lontano. Dopo aver dato una panoramica generale delle più importanti tappe nel contesto UE che hanno portato all’inserimento della parità di retribuzione nella Carta di Nizza, questo articolo riflette su come il diritto unionale oggi affronta la questione della parità salariale. Verranno evidenziati i progressi, ma anche le mancanze e i possibili margini di miglioramento che potenzialmente tutelano le donne nel mercato del lavoro. La piena implementazione del principio “equal pay for equal work” non solo dovrebbe essere vista come garanzia dei diritti delle donne e dei soggetti che potrebbero subire una discriminazione salariale, ma come uno strumento di miglioramento della loro società che, attraverso una retribuzione equa di tutti i lavoratori, progredisce e si arricchisce.Despite the fact that equal opportunities in the workplace were already taken into account in the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Economic Community, today equal pay is still a distant dream. After giving a general overview of the most important legal steps in EU law which led to the inclusion of wage parity in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, this article debates around the attitude of EU law towards the issue of equal pay. The main progresses, flaws and the potential scope for improvement in order to safeguard women in the work market will be highlighted. The full implementation of the principle “equal pay for equal work” should be seen not only as a guarantee to the rights of women and of subjects vulnerable to salary discrimination, but as a tool to improve their society which, by granting equal retribution to all workers, advances and develops.
