Abstract:
AbstractThe five versions of the M.G. Nikolaeva seed dormancy terminology and formulae system are correlated to each other and to the dormancy terminology proposed by Baskin and Baskin [Seed Science Research14, 1–16 (2004)]. The proposal is made that the dormancy formula scheme of Nikolaeva [Botanicheskii Zhurnal86, 1–14 (2001)] be adopted as part of an international seed dormancy classification system, and her logic for derivation of the new formulae for physiological and morphophysiological dormancy is discussed via examples. We conclude that there are several advantages of adopting formulae into a seed dormancy classification system. However, Nikolaeva's scheme, especially the part for morphophysiological dormancy, probably needs a small amount of further refinement.

Abstract:
This article is a detailed review of N. Nikolaeva’s book The Japanese, published in 2016 in Ogre. The Japanese are memoirs of a Harbin Russian, the daughter of a Russian officer who found himself in China after retreat and defeat of Kolchak’s army. The article gives an overview of the images of a ‘vanishing nature’, which the memoirist managed to capture in her works, shows how deeply she understood the fate of the eastern emigrants, how precisely the topography of Harbin is reflected in the text. Special attention is paid in the article to a variety of narrative texture of N. Nikolaeva’s memoirs and thoughtful composition of her work. The plot focuses mainly on the memories of Nikolaeva’s childhood, which coincided with the years of Japanese dictatorship in North-Eastern China, the first part is devoted to her childhood memories. The second part contains biographies of parents and relatives of N. Nikolaeva, as well as a story about the return of her family from Harbin to their homeland in 1954. N. Nikolaeva’s documentary book is considered in the article in the context of artistic memories of Harbin (in particular, compared to Katya Kitayskaya by D. A. Prigov, a novel based on the memories of the writer's wife, a Harbin Russian, N. Burova), as well compared to the poetry by A. Nesmelov, whose poems are full of quotes from the book by N. Nikolaeva. The parallels between Russian and Harbin life outlined by the author of the memoirs are exceptionally interesting and represent the parallels between the old, noble (the ambient of pre-revolutionary Russia remained in Harbin until the mid-twentieth century), and the new, Soviet Russia.

Podlubnova, Yulia S. "“I ONCE LIVED IN THE NORTH OF THE URALS…” URAL PERIOD OF E. A. NIKOLAEVA’S CREATIVITY (E. A. RANOVA’S CREATIVITY)." Tyumen State University Herald. Humanities Research. Humanitates 7, no. 4 (2021): 150–62. http://dx.doi.org/10.21684/2411-197x-2021-7-4-150-162.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the Ural period of creativity of the poetess E. A. Nikolaeva-Ranova, who joined the avant-garde group of poets which was called “nichevoki” until 1922, but by no means professing the principles of avant-gardism in her work, on the contrary, inheriting mainly V. Ya. Bryusov, A. A. Akhmatova, S. A. Yesenin etc. For the first time the article completely reconstructs the biography of the poetess, collects and analyzes materials related to the Ural period of creativity (1922-1929). We note that E. A. Nikolaeva, who found herself in the Urals in connection with the expulsion of her husband Alexander Ranov (known in literary circles as the poet who was called “nichevoka” — Aetius Ranov) and lived with him in different cities of the region, E. A. Nikolaeva-Ranova is forced to make a creative and life-creating restructuring and begin cooperation with the Soviet press. Poems and poetries of the Ural period, published mainly in Perm newspapers and magazines, inevitably acquired an agitational sound. E. A. Nikolaeva-Ranova ‘s example shows that in the case of a long stay of visiting writers in the Urals, it makes sense to consider not only their contribution to the creation of the image of the region, but also changes in symbolic statuses or writing manners that happened here, as well as cultural mechanisms leading to these changes. On the other hand, it is also significant that the poetess, who compromises with time in her work, somehow preserved elements of an individual style in some texts that were particularly important to her, leading back to the same poetic practices of the Silver Age.

Abstract:
We supposed that a person’s health-conscious attitude, when actualized in a specific action must be connected to certain objective psychophysiological characteristics, for example, to inhibitory control. The aim of the present research was to study the interrelation of the inhibitory control and the internal health picture (further referred to as IPH) in primary schoolchildren. We examined 72 primary schoolchildren (mean (SD) age: 10.3 (0.9) years). Inhibitory control was assessed by the ReBOS tool (Vergunov, Nikolaeva, 2018). The IPH level was measured by a questionnaire (Nikolaeva et al., 2014). It was found that the higher IPH level boys have, the better they control their actions. The way girls respond to participating in an activity is directly related to their IPH development. But unlike the data obtained in the boys' group, the girls' inhibitory control is not related to their IPH level.
