Abstract:
This research is an answer to the concern about the extinction of the local text code of ethics in an area. These codes of ethics teach the noble values of the local area. The area taken in this study is Ngada in the central part of Flores Island, NTT Province. Research and documentation of Ngadha speech which teaches a code of ethics for local texts is widely carried out. However, this is only known by some people who speak Ngadha. The community in general knows the local language spoken from the local customary activities that have been passed down from generation to generation. Current generations and future generations do not know the meaning and speech of their own local language which contains the education of Pancasila values. Information technology is currently one of the solutions in documenting and publishing Ngadha speech. There are 160 Ngadha language sayings which have Pancasila educational values. These data are collected from interviews that have been written in book form and translated into Indonesian. A website is created to document digitally for further dissemination which is equipped with a literal and figurative meaning. It is hoped that, now and in the future, both elementary and secondary school children will know the meaning and value of Ngadha language speech. Educators can teach local wisdom values in the form of texts to students. Another goal, for academic interests, both in the field of information technology and philosophy, is the moral responsibility of academics in documenting local content in Ngadha language.

Abstract:
The article deals with the social organisation of the Ngadha (Flores, eastern Indonesia), of which there are contradictory accounts. While it has been suggested that that the Ngadha are best described as unilineal (matrilineal), others, including the author, hold that the more accurate label is cognatic. The first part of the article outlines central characteristics of unilineality. The second part is more ethnographic. Drawing on his own field research and publications as well as on earlier literature, the author discusses the claim advanced in BKI (by Susanne Schröter, 2005) that the Ngadha have a matrilineal kinship system. He concludes that, superficial appearances notwithstanding, the appellation is misplaced.

Abstract:
This research is motivated by the lack of students' abilities in Sundanese. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of ngawih before and after using the Explicit Intruction model, whether or not increasing after using the Explicit Intruction model, as well as describing the difference between the ngawih ability before and after using the Explicit Intruction model. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method, to students of class XI KPU-2 SMK Negeri 12 Bandung by using a pre-test and post-test design. Based on the results of research conducted, the average before using the Explicit Intruction model is (30.14) which proves that students are not capable of being incompetent, while the average after using the Explicit Intruction model is (75.88) which proves students are capable of being incompetent. Based on the statistical test results the significance value (Sig.2-tailed) is (0,000 0.5) or less than 0.5. Thus, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between the ability to appear before and after using the Explicit Instruction model. This shows that the Explicit Intruction learning model can improve the Sundanese ngawih ability of class XI KPU-2 students of SMK Negeri 12 Bandung in Academic Year 2018/2019. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam ngawih Sunda. Abstract:
AbstractThe land of Manggarai Timur and Ngada in Flores, Indonesia, is facing complexities in the agrarian sector. There is an overlap of laws on land tenure in the border area between the regencies based on the Regional Spatial Plans of both Manggarai Timur and Ngadha regencies. Not only that this creates horizontal conflicts between the peoples, but the overlap of mining policies also affects the environment. This research investigates the problems and discovers that the complexity can only be untangled by creating a ‘Strategic Area’ which can be implemented with a reconstruction of the current system of spatial planning law.

Abstract:
The plant hormone abscisic acid (ABA) is accumulated after drought stress and plays critical roles in the responses to drought stress in plants, such as gene regulation, stomatal closure, seed maturation, and dormancy. Although previous reports revealed detailed molecular roles of ABA in stress responses, the factors that contribute to the drought-stress responses—in particular, regulation of ABA accumulation—remain unclear. The enzyme NINE-CIS-EPOXYCAROTENOID DIOXYGENASE 3 (NCED3) is essential for ABA biosynthesis during drought stress, and the NCED3 gene is highly induced by drought stress. In the present study, we isolated NGATHAs (NGAs) as candidate transcriptional regulators of NCED3 through a screen of a plant library harboring the transcription factors fused to a chimeric repressor domain, SRDX. The NGA proteins were directly bound to a cis-element NGA-binding element (NBE) in the 5′ untranslated region (5′ UTR) of the NCED3 promoter and were suggested to be transcriptional activators of NCED3. Among the single-knockout mutants of four NGA family genes, we found that the NGATHA1 (NGA1) knockout mutant was drought-stress-sensitive with a decreased expression level of NCED3 during dehydration stress. These results suggested that NGA1 essentially functions as a transcriptional activator of NCED3 among the NGA family proteins. Moreover, the NGA1 protein was degraded under nonstressed conditions, and dehydration stress enhanced the accumulation of NGA1 proteins, even in ABA-deficient mutant plants, indicating that there should be ABA-independent posttranslational regulations. These findings emphasize the regulatory mechanisms of ABA biosynthesis during early drought stress.

Abstract:
SummaryGlobally, rural cattle keeping communities actively select and breed indigenous cattle to satisfy their interests and enhance adaptation to local landscapes. This study investigated how traditional systems in Uganda have shaped the morphometric population structure of indigenous cattle breeds. Ten linear morphometric traits were interrogated amongst 801 female cattle, comprising 46 Nganda (Bos indicus), 368 Ankole (B. taurus indicus) and 387 East African shorthorn zebu (EASZ,B. indicus). The study cattle were obtained evenly at random from 209 herds in their agro-ecological zones (AEZs) where they have been nurtured by traditional cattle keeping communities throughout Uganda. Age, AEZs and breed significantly influenced the variation of linear morphometric traits exhibiting a gradient of low, intermediate and high dimensions among the EASZ, Nganda and Ankole cattle, respectively. Likewise, the linear morphometric trait (Mahalanobis squared distance) diversity was significantly different exhibiting a gradient of low, intermediate and high variation between Nganda and EASZ, Ankole and Nganda, and Ankole and EASZ cattle, respectively. These findings demonstrate the role of agro-ecological fitness in the evolution of indigenous cattle morphometric population structure in Uganda. The study outcomes further provide a motivation to search for genes associated with the diverse morphometric features.

Abstract:
Abstract Thomas Nganda Wangai’s personal account of the beginnings of the Orthodox Church in Kenya gives a first-hand narrative of the Kikuyu resistance to mission Christianity and mission-imposed education that led to the break with the mission churches and colonial-approved mission schools. The subsequent creation of the Kikuyu Independent Schools Association and the Kikuyu Karing’a Education Association as well as independent churches attempted to create a new identity outside the mission church establishment in colonial Kenya. This desire to remain Christian while throwing off the yoke of Western versions of Christianity led Nganda and other early leaders to seek out a nonmission form of Christianity that reflected the ancient purity of the early church. Nganda tells the story of how a schismatic archbishop of the African Orthodox Church provided the initial leadership for the nascent Orthodox movement. Nganda charts the interrelatedness of the search for an ecclesiastical identity and the decision to align with the Alexandrian Patriarchate and the growing political conflict with the Kenyan colonial authorities. The paper concludes with Nganda’s description of the Orthodox Church’s response to the declaration of Emergency in 1953, along with the hardship and suffering that the subsequent ten years of proscription imposed.

Abstract:
The actual temperature control for consecutive reaction problem is a complex optimization problem. Genetic algorithms (GA) is a metaheuristic inspired by imitating the processes observed during natural evolution. It has a strong global search ability and less computation time, but it exists the premature convergence and poor stability. Ant colony optimization (ACO) is a metaheuristic inspired by imitating the behavior of real ants. It has the robustness and parallel computation, but it exists the slow convergence speed and stagnation phenomenon. In this paper, a new genetic and ant colony self-adaptive hybrid (NGASAH) algorithm based on the chaotic searching strategy, multi-populations and self-adaptive parameter control strategies is presented. In the proposed NGASAH algorithm, the chaotic searching strategy is used to avoid the optimal solution. The strategy of the multiple populations is used to avoid to converge to a local extreme point of all particles. The strategy of self-adaptive parameter control is used to dynamically balance the local search ability and the global ability, and improve the convergence speed. The actual temperature control of consecutive reaction problem is used to test the validity of the NGASAH algorithm. The experiment results show that the NGASAH algorithm can obtain the global search ability and the faster convergence speed in solving the complex optimization problems.

Abstract:
Streptococci are gram positive cocci arranged in chains and are part of normal flora of humans and animals. The present study is carried out to determine the prevalence and risk factors for the carriage of beta-haemolytic streptococci (BHS) among women visiting Dr. VRK Women’s Teaching Hospital & Research Centre, Hyderabad. Vaginal swabs were collected from 250 patients attending outpatient department (OPD) of Dr. VRK Women’s Teaching hospital. Swabs were inoculated onto 5% sheep blood agar plates and incubated for 24 h at 37°C in a candle jar. BHS isolates were phenotypically identified by standard microbiological techniques, all the isolates presumptively identified as BHS were tested for Bacitracin susceptibility. Sensitive isolates were presumptively identified as GAS and resistant isolates were identified as non-group A BHS (NGABHS). Presumptively identified GAS & NGABHS isolates were serogrouped by Lancefield grouping using a commercially available latex agglutination test. BHS were isolated from 12.4% of samples. As many as 12 BHS isolates were identified as GAS and 19 were identified as NGABHS. Ten of nineteen were identified as group B (GBS), 4 (12.9%) were identified as group C (GCS) and 5 (16.12%) were identified as group G (GGS). Among six clinical groups, the prevalence of GAS is highest i.e. 7.5% in female patients visiting Gynaecology OPD with history of white discharge. Prevalence of NGABHS was more among post insertion (18%) IUCD group compared to pre insertion (8%) IUCD group. GBS were isolated from 7% of samples from IUCD group and 4% of samples from prostitutes. This study reports the prevalence of BHS among women visiting a tertiary care hospital in Hyderabad. This study also identified certain risk factors such as IUCD usage and working as a FSW are associated with the increased prevalence of NGABHS especially GBS.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
<p>This paper describes one way that teachers as educators can face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0, namely by instilling and preparing creative and character-based leaders. Education as character building can be implemented using Ki Hajar Dewantara's leadership concepts, namely Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa, and Tut Wuri Handayani. The concept of leadership was first adopted as a cooperative learning model which emphasized exemplariness in group learning. The group leader is called tuladha and is the facilitator of the group. Tuladha utilizes the Internet of Things. Before the teaching and learning process in class, information, concepts or ideas, and examples are posted by the teacher to the tuladha. This study is an experimental study with the sample used meeting the prerequisites of the statistical test used. The results showed that students' mathematical problem solving abilities increased significantly using the Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model over the usual method. The category of improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities that obtain the Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha cooperative learning model is in the high category.</p>

Abstract:
This paper aims to describe a design of cooperative learning models that emphasize exemplary criteria in conveying information or concepts / ideas in the classroom. In conveying information or concepts, teachers as educators and leaders must be truly prepared and know well that the examples of the concepts to be conveyed are good and true. Realizing that a teacher or leader who determines the direction is a role model, and as a role model, the people around him will follow, so as a leader must be able to give a survey and who cling to his responsibilities, is expected to be aware of his actions, behavior, ways of thinking, even the habit will be followed by many people. Ing Ngarsa Sung Tuladha is a leadership aspect that has a group learning leader. These aspects are capable of moving and directing group members to determine the direction and purpose of learning. This study uses descriptive, comparative and development research methods. Descriptive and comparative methods to support empirical research. With the development research method the learning environment will be developed and evaluated to test the effectiveness of the model design. Based on the testing criteria for the two mean differences are if the acquisition is p. sig. value < 0.05 then H0 is rejected. Because of the acquisition of p. sig. value = 0.00 < 0.05 so H0 is rejected, meaning that the learning outcomes of students who use Ing Ngarsa sung Tuladha's cooperative learning model are better than ordinary learning. Learning outcomes of students who get the Ing Ngarsa Cooperative Learning model are better than students who do not use it. Overall students have good attitudes and morals.
