Abstract:
Software testing plays a crucial role in software development process to achieve high quality software. Increased demand for new features, market competition, time and resource limitation has shortened the software lifecycle. To be in the market, software companies have to release new versions of software with new functionalities. Many ideologies and cost models have been formulated in the past decades with the idea of when to release the software for single and multi-versions. In the existing literature, the total debugging cost for the first version and next versions includes the cost of debugging in the operational phase along with the testing cost. It is assumed that the software is supported until the operational phase is over. Also, it is considered that some of the remaining faults of the previous release are reported and removed during the testing period of the new versions, which shows the repetition of cost for debugging the remaining number of faults of the previous release and results as increased cost of the software for the next release. In the present paper, we provide a new perspective on the release cost. To overcome the above problem in this paper, we describe a generalized cost model in which the remaining faults of the current version are removed during the operational phase of the current version and partly in the testing period of the next version. Application of the proposed cost model is shown on a real fault counting data for multi-versions of a software.

Abstract:
This paper presents a critical edition of a hitherto unknown Crimean version of the famous Noghay epic Edige. This version is anonymous and undated, probably copied in the 19th century. It contains seven pages of a codex of various contents and is incomplete. Despite being so short, this version is very interesting as it was copied in Hebrew script. After comparing this text with other versions, such as those in Crimean Tatar, Noghay, Baraba, Karakalpak and Kazakh, the article demonstrates that this version is closest to the Crimean Tatar and Noghay versions.

Abstract:
New versions of the high-resolution 20- and 60-km-mesh Meteorological Research Institute (MRI) atmospheric general circulation models (MRI-AGCM version 3.2) have been developed and used to investigate potential future changes in tropical cyclone (TC) activity. Compared with the previous version (version 3.1), version 3.2 yields a more realistic simulation of the present-day (1979–2003) global distribution of TCs. Moreover, the 20-km-mesh model version 3.2 is able to simulate extremely intense TCs (categories 4 and 5), which is the first time a global climate model has been able to simulate such extremely intense TCs through a multidecadal simulation. Future (2075–99) projections under the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) A1B scenario are conducted using versions 3.1 and 3.2, showing consistent decreases in the number of TCs globally and in both hemispheres as climate warms. Although projected future changes in basin-scale TC numbers show some differences between the two versions, the projected frequency of TC occurrence shows a consistent decrease in the western part of the western North Pacific (WNP) and in the South Pacific Ocean (SPO), while it shows a marked increase in the central Pacific. Both versions project a future increase in the frequency of intense TCs globally; however, the degree of increase is smaller in version 3.2 than in version 3.1. This difference arises partly because version 3.2 projects a pronounced decrease in mean TC intensity in the SPO. The 20-km-mesh model version 3.2 projects a northward shift in the most intense TCs (category 5) in the WNP, indicating an increasing potential for future catastrophic damage due to TCs in this region.

Abstract:
Through analysis of the current version of relationship models, the paper presents the short points of them and develops a new PDM multi-version management model based on the theory of polychromatic sets with the concept and method of the theory introduced. This new PDM multi-version management model uses the element of polychromatic sets to represent the version of a document, a uniform color to represent the integrated attribute of object, and individual color to represent the property information of an object version respectively. Considering adjacent versions have too many identical contents, this new model introduces a method on difference information to reduce the storage space of multi-versions. Finally, the arithmetic operators of the version management model of PDM were presented through a related case.

Abstract:
Abstract Updated versions of the Tangent Linear Model (TLM) and adjoint of the fifth-generation Pennsylvania State University–National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesoscale Model (MM5) have been developed and are now available to the meteorological community. The previous version of the MM5 TLM and adjoint were designed for single-processor computer architectures, based on version 1 of MM5, and were hand coded, which made it difficult to maintain up-to-date versions of the TLM and the adjoint as MM5 evolved. The new TLM and adjoint are based on version 3 of MM5 and run efficiently on multiple-processor computers. The TLM and adjoint were developed with the aid of the Tangent Linear and Adjoint Model Compiler (TAMC) automatic code generator. While some manual intervention is still necessary, the use of the automatic code generator can significantly speed code development and lower code maintenance costs. The new TLM and adjoint contain most of the physics packages and observation operators that were available in the MM5 version 1 TLM and adjoint. The new adjoint has been combined with the MM5 version 3 nonlinear model and an updated minimization module in a four-dimensional variational data assimilation analysis configuration. Accuracy of the new TLM and adjoint has been verified by individual unit and system tests as well as comparisons with the adjoint from MM5 version 1. Timing tests showed substantial decreases in time to solution when increasing the number of processors devoted to the problem.

Abstract:
This article discusses the variants of one of the heroic epics of the Kyrgyz people, “Kurmanbek”. Today, in addition to the versions by storytellers such as Toktogul Satylganov, Moldobasan Musulmankulov, Shamshy komuzchu, Kalyk Akyev, Sarykunan Dyikanbai uuluб M. Kalandarov, the features of the new version developed by Ulukbek Toktobolot uulu, a storyteller during the years of independence, are being analyzed. U. Toktobolot uulu himself developed and performed this version for the Manuscript Fund of th National Academy of science of the Kyrgyz Republic on June 6, 2022, and also performed the written version for the Golden Fund of Kyrgyz Radio. This article analyzes the basis on which storyteller and version his work was developed, whether it is a variant or a version. It also describes its figurative-poetic and plot-compositional features. In the work, compositions were carefully used where there are no excessive additions in the descriptions, where Teyitbek, as a sign of self-sacrifice, gives the name Kurmanbek to his only heir, how Taikuron turned into Kurmanbek’s heroic steed after Teltoru being rejected by his father and the death of his forty warriors – zhigits. There are no boring descriptions or repetitions; each meaning is given a clear rhythmic structure. Additions based on folk plot lines and customs were made to U. Toktobolot uulu’s version, and it is considered a version with a new characteristic.

Abstract:
In this study, looking back on the flow and main translations of the Chinese Bible and Korean Bible translators, especially Chinese Character Bible which had an impact on early Korean Bible translations and even the modern chinese and Korean Bibles. Based on this, we selected the contents of some texts from among the modern Bible translations 『Chinese Union version with New Punctuation』 and 『New Korean Revised Version』, which account for the largest proportion of use in denominations in China, overseas, and Korea respectively, as subjects of comparative studies. Various aspects of vocabulary and grammatical translation expressions related to two traditional translation methods and translation expressions were examined here. This aims to help understand and interpret the style and expression content related to the translation methods of the modern Chinese and Korean Bibles by presenting the linguistic difference between the two languages and also the commonalities and differences in the translation method and translation expression according to the nature of the Bible itself.

Abstract:
In a recent paper, Kenneth Goodpaster formulates three versions of the stakeholder theory of corporate social responsibility. He rejects the first two versions and endorses the third. I argue that the theory that Goodpaster defends under the name “stakeholder theory” is a version (albeit a somewhat different version) of Milton Friedman’s theory of corporate social responsibility. I also argue that the first two formulations of the stakeholder theory which Goodpaster discusses are at most only slight modifications of other theories. I conclude by formulating a fourth version of the stakeholder theory which I believe does constitute a substantial departure from earlier theories of social responsibility.

Abstract:
The Zagreb indices have been introduced by Gutman and Trinajstic as M1(G) = ???V(G)(dG)(?))2 and M2(G) = ??v?E(G) dG(u)dG(?), where dG(u) denotes the degree of vertex u. We now define a new version of Zagreb indices as M*1 (G) = ??v?E(G) [?G(u)+ ?G(?)] and M*2(G)= ??v?E(G) ?G(u)?G(?), where ?G(u) is the largest distance between u and any other vertex ? of G. The goal of this paper is to further the study of these new topological index.

Full text
Abstract:
This paper attempts to look at the intersection of folktales and children's literature, and proposes to categorize the rendering of folktales for children as standard/ original version and experimental version. Folktales are the original source from which all other genres of entertainment have emanated and evolved. They have gradually transitioned from oral tradition to the textual, from textual to digital and virtual world. This does not only indicate their innate instinct of survival but also their ability to adapt to changing times. Folktales, at one point of time, were directed at audiences of all types. Over a period of time they began to be seen as part of the children's world while 'textuality' came to be associated with the adult world. This distinction got blurred in the recent transition to the virtual world where children and adults can experience a folktale on the screen alike. Thus, standard or original versions of folktales continue to exist in the society and get transmitted from one generation to the other. Experimental version on the other hand is based on innovation in the narration bringing together the folktales and the element of fiction writing, merging reality and fiction, mixing tales with lived experience. Based on the impact and usage of folktales they may be divided broadly into two categories, standard or original version, and the experimental version. This paper attempts to study written versions or collections of Indian folktales for children in the light of these two categories in folktales developed for children.

The so-called ‘Three Utterances’ exemplum, which tells of the exclamations of a good and a bad soul to the angels or demons who lead them to heaven or hell at the moment of death, was adapted independently by three Anglo-Saxon homilists. Versions of this legend survive in an Old English Rogationtide homily in Oxford, Bodleian Library, Hatton 114, 102v–105v, in a homilyBe heofonwarum and be helwarumin London, British Library, Cotton Faustina A. ix, 21v–23v, and Cambridge, Corpus Christi College 302, pp. 71–3, and in a Lenten homily in Oxford, Bodleian Library, Junius 85/86, fos. 25–40. In 1935 Rudolf Willard published a study of the exemplum, with a detailed comparison between the three Old English versions, an Irish version, and a single Latin version in Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale, lat. 2628 (s. xi). Two years later Willard published a second Latin version from Oxford, University College 61 (s. xiv). Other texts of the Latin sermon have subsequently come to light.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Controls must be changed when information systems are modified. Audit, assurance, and quality-control (AAQC) personnel must evaluate the reliability of controls in the new system versions. Based on Bunge (1977, 1979) and Wand and Weber (1989a, 1990), we describe a model and search-space algorithm that AAQC personnel can use to determine where required control changes are likely to be located in the new system version, thereby mitigating the need for an exhaustive evaluation of all controls. To use the model and algorithm, AAQC personnel must have (1) accurate and complete requirements specifications for the old and new versions of the system, (2) a controls specification for the old version that covers all errors and irregularities that might occur, (3) evidence to conclude all controls for the old version are in place, adequate, and working, and (4) specifications for the new version expressed as a level structure of systems and subsystems.
