Este artigo discute parte do processo de tradução para legendagem em plataformas de streaming. Tomando como base o referencial teórico do campo dos Estudos da Tradução, mais especificamente a Tradução Audiovisual (TAV), busca-se investigar e compreender o que há de novo nesse campo, uma vez que se trata de uma nova tecnologia – o streaming – , que tem implicações para o campo da tradução. Como corpus de estudo é analisada a primeira temporada da série Outlander, disponível na Netflix, com o foco nos processos de revisão das legendas e no da velocidade de leitura. Observou-se que as novidades tecnológicas parecem reforçar velhas questões, como a da crença na fidelidade total.

Abstract:
With a higher level of the information techonology application in weapon system, the comprehensive electric system becomes more and more complicated, bringing about higher requirements on equipment support. In this paper, the research is mainly targeted at the integrated electrical system for a certain air defense weapon system. The offline live testing plan is employed, and simulated field simulation technology, switch topology in different forms are intergrated throughout the research to complete the performance testing on the major electrical equipment, so as to test the equipment integrity. Research and development of the testing system provide a feasible design method and means of implementation for the performance testing and trouble diagonosis for electrical equipment of the new equipment.

As mentioned earlier, there are several applications to improve students' speaking skill, one of them is cake application. Speaking is one of the most important skills in learning English and a skill practiced in speaking is how to pronounce words properly and correctly. The purpose of this research is to know the use of cake application as an improvement students’ speaking skill in English for Specific Purposes (ESP). The participant are 33 college students of As-Syafi’iyah Islamic University. This research used qualitative methods and using questionnaire created using google forms and distributed via WhatsApp as the instrument to the students . From the answer of questionnaires can be conclude that students got new word with correct pronunciation and can speak fluently in ESP.

Abstract:
The low productivity of milkfish produced by traditional technology encourage the development of new farming technologies to increase productivity. Semi-intensive technology has evolved since the 2000s. However, this technology increases the cost of production because of the additional input of artificial feed. One of the regencies which produce milkfish using both traditional and semi-intensive technology is Karawang Regency. The objective of this research were to analyze profit and cost efficiency in traditional and semi-intensive techonology. The method of data collection conducted purposive as many as 30 milkfish farmers with traditional technology and 33 milkfish farmers with semi-intensive technology. The results show that semi-intensive technology provides a higher level of productivity and higher profitability. However, traditional technology was more efficient than semi-intensive technology. This condition causes the milkfish cultivation with traditional technology are still exist because it provides a higher return to capital.

Anchor dragging threatens vessel anchoring security directly, so how to find and predict anchor drgging is an important issue of navigation fields. Most existing judgement methods depend on distinguishing feature of dragging vessel from normal anchoring, so vessels usually have moved a certain distance when duty officers find anchor dragging. Thus it is necessary to develop a practical anchor dragging early warning techonology. Based on the special change of anchor cables. Vibration frequency while anchor dragging, a new anchor dragging early warning system (ADEWS) was designed. The system was composed of two main facilities: acceleration sensor and teminal unit. The acceleration sensor was fixed on anchor cables to monitor its vibration frequency, and the teminal unit in the bridge was designed to analyze change characteristic of frequency and release early warnning. For facilitis of this new ADEWS is simple, it is easy to be equipped on vessels. Furthermore, the system can automatically analyze vibration frequency and release early warning, so it has advantages of high feasibility and reliability. These advantages can lessen duty officers work burden and reduce the dependece on duty officers individual experience. Therefore, ADEWS based on Vibration frequency analysis possesses a good application prospect in practical engineering.

A proposta deste artigo é analisar como as tecnologias digitais contribuíram para ressignificar identidades e para potencializar a representatividade dos alunos do Colégio Estadual do Paraná que participaram das manifestações dos professores da rede estadual de ensino durante a greve desta categoria, em 2015. O recorte da investigação teve como foco a apropriação da linguagem audiovisual pelos estudantes e sua interface com o universo tecnológico e com a escola. O estudo utilizou como recurso metodológico uma entrevista semiestruturada com um grupo de alunos e a base teórica tensionou conceitos de Martín-Barbero (2004 e 2014), Orozco Gómez (2006) e Stuart Hall (2014), como comunicação e educação, descompasso, destempo, reconhecimento e identidade. As considerações finais apontam a tecnologia como uma das trilhas para os novos modos de sentir e de aprender, potencializando, assim, a ressignificação das identidades desses jovens e suas representatividades por meio do reconhecimento, do pertencimento e das novas formas de relação professor e aluno. Abstract:
Teachers experiences might restrict their utilization of technology in the classroom, making learning challenging. Teachers must improve learning performance and motivation to overcome learning obstacles, especially when online learning has supplanted traditional teaching method following Covid-19. Therefore, online learning models should be implemented as a new learning style. This research aims to examine this topic, namely the use of Google Classroom to enhance English learning achievement and motivation. The investigation was qualitative and case-based which include observing and documenting the behaviors of students at SMP Negeri 1 Limboto, Gorontalo, Indonesia, in particular eighth-grade students who learn using Google Classroom. The data will be collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this research indicated that the use of Google Classroom increases the intrinsic motivation of students, since all of the assessment indicators are over 60 percent. Therefore, this finding indicated that students prefer to learn English by integrating techonology – in this case Google Classroom. This findings then lead to another finding, in which the integrating of Google Classroom during teaching and learning English may increase students learning performance. In this way, online learning has a positive effect on students learning motivations. By the findings of this research, it has also been confirmed that there is a very closed connection between the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations of the students, which is in line with the theories provided (Gonzalez-DeHass, Willems, & Holbein, 2005; Yuan, Wu, Hu, & Lin, 2019)

Abstract.INTERCULTURAL STUDY OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL VARIABLES THROUGH SURVEYMONKEYThis intercultural study searches to analyse the relationship between emotional intelligence and psychoeducational varibales in young and teenager Spanish and Peruvovian people. We use the new techonologies for assess a simple of 1074 high school students from Spain and Peru by an online system application SurveyMonkey for recovering the information of every self report. This application le tus code and digitalize the data, and after to analyse data through 21.0 version SPSS. We included the General Data Questionnaire (CDG) bult by the team; the TMMS-24 for assess emotional intelligence; and the personality NEO-FFI questionnaire. Results show statistical significative differences in the majority of variables in favour of Peru, exaplaining those results to motivational level of the students. Related with the genre, we can say tha women have higher emotional perception and men higuher emotional comprehension, in line with other studies. When we consider the educational level, the Elder students reach higher marks in self-eficacy and in solve strategies, as the haigher expertice with the school tasks. Finally, the knowledge about the intelligence, the emotions and the emotional intelligence are not related with high levels in openess, emotional perception and clarity, as we expected. We discuss the results to the light of educational implications.Keywords: Intercultural, emotional intelligence, new technologies, Survey monkeyResumen.Este estudio intercultural busca analizar la relación de la inteligencia emocional, variables psicoeducativas en jóvenes y adolescentes Españoles y Peruanos, utilizando las nuevas tecnologías. En una muestra de 1074 alumnos de colegios e institutos de España y Perú utilizando el sistema on-line Survey Monkey para la cumplimentación de todos los cuestionarios, facilitando la codificación e informatización de los datos para la realización de análisis estadísticos, presentadas como evidencias empíricas en este estudio. Se utilizó el cuestionario de datos generales (CDG) elaborado ad hoc por el equipo de investigación, el TMMS-24 que mide la inteligencia emocional percibida, el cuestionario de estrategias de aprendizaje y motivación (CEAM) y finalmente el de personalidad (NEO-FFI). Los resultados indican diferencias significativas en la mayoría de las variables a favor de Perú, atribuyendo estos resultados al grado de motivación que presentaban los estudiantes peruanos. Respecto al género podemos destacar que las mujeres puntúan más alto en percepción emocional y los varones en compresión emocional como lo prueban en diversos estudios. Al tomar en cuenta el curso, los alumnos superiores puntúan más alto en autoeficacia y estrategias de solución. Finalmente el tener conocimiento de lo que es la inteligencia, las emociones y la inteligencia emocional no está relacionado con altos puntajes en apertura, percepción y claridad emocional como se esperaba. Abstract:
La negligenza spaziale unilaterale (NSU) è un disturbo neuropsicologico dovuto a eventi cerebrovascolari (CVA), tumori cerebrali e lesioni cerebrali acquisite. I pazienti con NSU falliscono nell’orientarsi verso, rispondere e riportare eventi sensoriali che si verificano nel lato dello spazio e del corpo controlaterale al lato della lesione (tipicamente, il lato sinistro in pazienti con danno cerebrale destro), e nell’esplorare queste porzioni di spazio. La valutazione della NSU si basa soprattutto sulla valutazione delle prestazioni dei pazienti a test carta-e-matita. Tuttavia, sono ora disponibili evidenze emergenti che le tecnologie che si basano sui computer possano migliorare le procedure diagnostiche. I test computerizzati possono offrire più sensibilità e flessibilità, registrando molte più informazioni (ad es., l’accuratezza e i tempi di reazione simultaneamente). Queste caratteristiche riducono le possibilità di errore umano e permettono misurazioni quantitative e continue nei singoli pazienti, includendo un monitoraggio individuale e sensibile dei cambiamenti prestazionali lungo il corso di ripetute valutazioni. L’obiettivo principale della presente tesi di dottorato era quello di validare preliminarmente dei test digitali appositamente creati, comparandoli a test carta-e-matita tradizionalmente usati nella pratica clinica per la diagnosi di NSU. Tutti questi test sono stati creati in un ambiente digitale facile da usare e basato sull’utilizzo di uno schermo touch e di una penna digitale, così da simulare il tradizionale atto di scrittura. All’interno di tre studi, i partecipanti sani e i pazienti con danno cerebrale destro, con e senza NSU, sono stati sottoposti sia ai testi digitali che ai test carta-e-matita. Le analisi dei dati hanno mostrato risultati promettenti, suggerendo che i test digitali potrebbero condurre a una valutazione neuropsicologica più sensibile e precisa, smascherando inoltre casi di neglect residuale. Infine, i risultati presenti incoraggiano la raccolta di dati normativi per poter adottare i test digitali nella pratica clinica.
Unilateral Spatial Neglect (USN) is a neuropsychological disorder due to cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), cerebral tumours and brain injuries. USN patients fail to orient towards, respond to and report sensory events occurring in the side of space and the body contralateral to the side of the lesion (typically the left side in the right-brain-damaged patients), and to explore these portions of space. The assessment of USN has relied mainly on evaluating patients’ performances at paper-and-pencil tests. Nevertheless, emerging evidence that computer-based technologies may improve the assessment procedure is now available. More sensitivity and flexibility may indeed be offered by computerised tests, which typically record much more information (i.e., accuracy and reaction time measures simultaneously). These features reduce the chances of human error and allow for quantitative, continuous measures and even significance levels in single patients, including sensitive individual monitoring of performance changes through repeated assessments. The main aim of the present PhD thesis was to preliminarily validate purposely created digital tests, compared to similar classic paper-and-pencil tests traditionally used in the clinical setting for USN assessment. All these tasks were built up in a user-friendly digital environment based on touch screens and digital pens, simulating the act of filling in a paper-and-pencil set-up with the advantages of the touch system. Within three studies, healthy participants and right-brain-damaged patients with and without USN performed both the digital and the paper-and-pencil versions of tests. Data analyses showed promising results, suggesting that digital tests could lead to a more sensitive and precise neuropsychological evaluation, also unmasking cases of covert USN. Lastly, the present findings encourage the collection of normative data in order to adopt digital tests in clinical practice.

Dissertação de Mestrado apresentada à Universidade Fernando Pessoa como parte dos requisitos para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Ciências da Comunicação, especialização em Marketing e Comunicação Estratégica.
A temática central desta dissertação é a utilização das novas tecnologias no âmbito de uma campanha eleitoral. O desenvolvimento desta investigação teve como análise as eleições primárias dos Estados Unidos de 2008. Os objectos de estudo foram as campanhas digitais dos dois candidatos mais importantes do Partido Democrata, Barack Obama e Hillary Clinton, que se debateram entre Janeiro e Junho de 2008 pela nomeação às eleições presidenciais de 2008. A sociedade está desde o final do século XX a passar por um momento de ruptura com o anterior paradigma da comunicação, assente na sociedade de massas, para um novo, sustentado pela individualização dos fenómenos comunicativos. A introdução dos novos media no quotidiano dos indivíduos está a provocar alterações em todas as relações sociais. A forma como o poder político comunica com os cidadãos, também tem vindo sofrer modificações profundas nas últimas décadas. O “eu” digital substituiu o “nós” analógico, conforme se reconhece na revisão bibliográfica efectuada nesta dissertação. E depois de verificarmos os principais conceitos que interagem na linguagem da comunicação e do marketing político, foram analisadas as inovações tecnológicas introduzidas nas últimas eleições ocorridas nos Estados Unidos da América pelos estrategas políticos. Num mundo cada vez mais globalizado, estas foram as eleições primárias mais mediáticas de sempre, que terão influência em todo o mundo. Nesta dissertação não se pretende fazer uma análise profunda aos conteúdos que os candidatos apresentaram no âmbito das novas tecnologias no decorrer da campanha para as eleições primárias. O objectivo é mais modesto, pretendendo somente uma abordagem genérica às estratégias comunicativas dos candidatos, ao utilizarem as novas tecnologias, especialmente a Internet, para divulgarem as suas propostas políticas ao eleitorado. O estudo demonstrou que os dois candidatos não divergiram muito no formato apresentado aos eleitores, mas a convicção e o planeamento foram essenciais para os resultados obtidos por Barack Obama e Hillary Clinton. The central theme of this thesis is the use of new technologies in the context of an election campaign. The development of this research is about the review of the primary season of the 2008 US Presidential Elections. The objects of this study are the digital campaigns of the two major candidates of the Democratic Party, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They fought for the nomination between January and June of 2008. Society is going through a moment of rupture with the previous paradigm of communication, based on the mass of society for a new one, sustained by the individualisation of communication. The introduction of the new media in everyday life of individuals is causing changes in all social relations. The way that political structure communicate with citizens, has also been profound changed in recent decades. The digital "I" replaced the "we" analogue, as assume in the literature review of this dissertation. We substantiate the main concepts that interact in the language of communication and political marketing, and analyzed the latest technological innovations introduced in the U.S. by political strategists in the last elections. In an increasingly globalized world, these were the primary elections with more media and will influence the world. This dissertation is not intended to make a deep analysis of content that the candidates presented in the context of new technologies during the primary season. The aim is more modest, claiming only a generic approach to the communicative strategies of the candidates in the use of new technologies, especially the Internet, to disseminate its policy proposals to the electorate. The study showed that the two candidates do not differ much in the plan presented to voters, but the self-reliance and research were essential to the results to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

La tesi ha analizzato il complesso rapporto tra il processo di induzione emotiva e le nuove tecnologie. Nello specifico la tesi ha indagato l’efficacia, nel processo di induzione e gestione delle emozioni, di contenuti audio/video implementati su diversi media: telefoni cellulari UMTS, dvd, lettori Mp3, cd audio e pc desktop + Head Mounted Display. Il contributo pratico dell’elaborato si articola in tre studi, una ricerca di base e due applicate, all’interno dei quali ai nuovi media viene attribuito un ruolo fondamentale per la gestione di emozioni negative e l’incremento di stati di benessere in diversi contesti quotidiani: la gestione dell’ansia da esame universitario e la gestione dello stress da lavoro in un campione di insegnanti. I risultati ottenuti a seguito delle ricerche effettuate suggeriscono che le nuove tecnologie di comunicazione possono essere utilizzate come efficaci strumenti di induzione e gestione degli stati emotivi. I nuovi media, telefoni cellulari o lettori Mp3, di forte uso comune e caratterizzati da un’elevata portabilità, vengono investiti di un nuovo ruolo nel panorama di ricerca della Psicologia Positiva. This thesis analyzed the complex relation between the emotion induction process and the new technologies. Specifically the work investigated the effectiveness of audio and video content in the emotion induction process by using different media (mobile phone, dvd, mp3 player, audio cd and pc desktop + Head Mounted Display). The practical contribution is divided in three studies, one basic and two apply investigations, considering the new media as tools able to manage negative emotions and to induce a deep sense of wellness in two different settings: university exam anxiety and work related stress in a teachers sample. Results suggest the effectiveness of the new communication technologies to induce and manage different emotional states. New media, Mobile phone and Mp3 player, characterized by high portability, gained a new role in the field of Positive Psychology research. The possibility of using new technologies to improve wellness and the quality of life of users suggests the emergence of a new area: Positive Technology.

La tesi ha analizzato il complesso rapporto tra il processo di induzione emotiva e le nuove tecnologie. Nello specifico la tesi ha indagato l’efficacia, nel processo di induzione e gestione delle emozioni, di contenuti audio/video implementati su diversi media: telefoni cellulari UMTS, dvd, lettori Mp3, cd audio e pc desktop + Head Mounted Display. Il contributo pratico dell’elaborato si articola in tre studi, una ricerca di base e due applicate, all’interno dei quali ai nuovi media viene attribuito un ruolo fondamentale per la gestione di emozioni negative e l’incremento di stati di benessere in diversi contesti quotidiani: la gestione dell’ansia da esame universitario e la gestione dello stress da lavoro in un campione di insegnanti. I risultati ottenuti a seguito delle ricerche effettuate suggeriscono che le nuove tecnologie di comunicazione possono essere utilizzate come efficaci strumenti di induzione e gestione degli stati emotivi. I nuovi media, telefoni cellulari o lettori Mp3, di forte uso comune e caratterizzati da un’elevata portabilità, vengono investiti di un nuovo ruolo nel panorama di ricerca della Psicologia Positiva. Nos últimos anos, as Novas Tecnologias da Informação e da Comunicação têm vindo a ocupar um papel cada vez mais central nas vidas quotidianas de todos nós, com a Internet a assumir uma posição de destaque e com o paradigma da Web 2.0 a abrir portas para uma interatividade sem precedentes. A emergência de novas formas de sociabilidade, que fogem aos constrangimentos do tempo e do espaço, são um fenómeno social que desperta um cada vez maior interesse. A política, como parte essencial do funcionamento da sociedade, não é exceção a esta tendência. O estudo da comunicação política orientada para as NTIC tem gerado visões díspares relativamente àquelas que serão as suas vantagens e desvantagens nos processos políticos e nos processos comunicativos associados a este tema. A utilização dessas novas tecnologias será o objeto do presente trabalho de dissertação. Em países como os Estados Unidos da América, a Internet e as redes sociais, com grande destaque por exemplo para o Twitter, ocupam desde há alguns anos um papel central em termos de campanha eleitoral. A eleição de Barack Obama é o caso mais paradigmático da preponderância destas plataformas para a vitória de um candidato. Neste trabalho olharemos para o caso português, mais precisamente para a Campanha Eleitoral das Eleições à Assembleia da República Portuguesa no ano de 2015, procurando perceber que uso fizeram os partidos destas tecnologias à sua disposição e que têm já provas dadas de eficácia noutros países. Os websites oficiais de campanha, bem como as páginas de Facebook e Twitter dos candidatos a este momento eleitoral, serão o objeto específico de estudo. O levantamento das características dos mesmos, e do tipo de conteúdo partilhado com os eleitores através destas plataformas, serão essenciais para compreender quais as funções que ocupam estas plataformas no contexto eleitoral. Procurar-se-á, a partir daí, perceber qual a performatividade efetiva destas plataformas e se, realmente, trazem novas oportunidades para a política e, sobretudo, para a inclusão dos cidadãos na política e na campanha. As NTIC têm sido apontadas por vários académicos como potenciadoras da revitalização da cidadania e do resgate do papel do público, devido às características eminentemente interativas destas plataformas, permitindo fluxos de comunicação plurilaterais; e que, portanto, vêm dar, pelo menos aparentemente, resposta ao problema da apatia gerada pela televisão, dado o seu formato de comunicação unilateral, de um para muitos. Outros tantos académicos rejeitam esta visão e consideram que não residem nas novas tecnologias as respostas para os problemas de participação cívica e mobilização. Através da análise das plataformas online da campanha eleitoral para as Legislativas de 2015 procuraremos compreender se se espelham estas preocupações de resgate da cidadania e de inclusão dos cidadãos na política; e se as mesmas conseguem, de facto, operacionalizar essas intenções de inclusão do eleitorado na campanha.
For the past years, New Communication and Information Technologies have been taking a more and more central role in our daily lives, with the Internet assuming a main role and with the Web 2.0 paradigm opening doors to unprecedented interactivity. The emergence of new ways of sociability, which escape from the constraints of time and space is a social phenomenon that raises an increasingly bigger interest. Politics, as essential part of society’s functioning, cannot be an exception to this trend. Political Communication studies oriented towards NCIT have generated conflicting views concerning their advantages and disadvantages in political processes and in the communicative processes associated to politics. The use of such Technologies will be the object of the present dissertation work. In countries like the United States of America, the Internet and Social Media, with great emphasis on Twitter, have claimed a central part in the electoral campaign. Barack Obama’s election is the most paradigmatic case of the preponderance of these platforms for the victory of a certain candidate. In this work, we will take a look at the Portuguese case, more specifically on the campaign for the 2015 parliamentary elections, seeking to understand how such technologies, at politicians’ disposal, are used by the candidates’ parties. Official campaign websites, as well as Facebook and Twitter pages from the candidates will be the main object of this study. Looking at such platforms’ characteristics and looking at the contents that are there shared with the electorate will be essential to understand what functions such platforms perform in an electoral context. From there, we will seek to understand the effective performativity of these platforms and if they actually bring new opportunities to the table in terms of politics, and mainly on the inclusion of citizens in politics and on political campaigns. NCITs have been pointed by several scholars as having the potential to revitalize citizenship and rescue the public’s role, due to its eminently interactive characteristics, which allow multilateral communication flows, which give, at least apparently, an answer to the apathy problem, generated by television, due to its unilateral, one-to-many way of communicating. Some other scholars reject such perspective and consider that the answers to civic participation and mobilization problems cannot be found in the use of these new technologies. Through the analysis of online campaign platforms of the 2015 Elections, we will seek to understand if concerns with the rescue of citizenship and citizen inclusion on politics are indeed reflected, and, moreover, we will seek to understand if insipite of such intentions, parties can in fact operationalize the inclusion of the electorate in the campaign.
