Abstract:
The Vaisburd and Evdokimov proposed an empirical model to calculate the electron impact single ionization cross-sections of atoms and molecules. The model has been applied to some atoms and molecules. To examine the efficiency of the model, the present work applies the model to calculate cross-sections for Ne-isonuclear series Ne+, Ne2+, Ne3+, Ne4+, Ne5+, Ne6+, Ne7+, Ne8+, Ne9+ . The separate sets of values of the parameters of the model are determined by comparison with the available experimental data using a non-linear least-squares fitting computer code. Abstract:
Introduction. Neoadjuvant endocrine therapy (NET) is an effective treatment modality that can downsize breast tumors in a cohort of postmenopausal women with HR-positive HER2-negative breast cancer. A lack of data regarding efficacy of NET vs neoadjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy (NCT) leads to limited usage of NET despite its favorable toxicity profile. Perioperative endocrine therapy is mainly used for the elderly or patients with comorbidities that limit their access to NCT. The COVID-19 pandemic led to increased data of NET efficacy. Nevertheless, long-term outcomes of NET application are underrepresented in literature. Objective. Assessment of long-term outcomes in patients treated with neoadjuvant endocrine therapy (NAT) versus neoadjuvant cytotoxic chemotherapy in a cohort of postmenopausal women with HR-positive HER2-negative breast cancer. Materials and methods. We retrospectively evaluated the results of treatment of 154postmenopausal patients with luminal HER2-breast cancer who were treated with neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NET or NCT) at the State Medical Institution «St. Petersburg Clinical Scientific and Practical Center for Specialized Types of Medical Care (Oncological)» from 01.01.2019 to 31.11.2020. We analyzed data on radiological, pathomorphological and long-term treatment outcomes (rate of locoregional and overall recurrence) in two groups.Results. 154 patients received neoadjuvant hormone therapy (n=78) or neoadjuvant chemotherapy (n=76). The clinical response was evaluated according to the RECIST criteria after 12 weeks and after study treatment using MMG. Partial or complete radiological response was achieved in 41.0% (n=32) in the NET group vs 69.7% (n=53) in the NCT group (p<0.001). All patients included in the study underwent surgery. A complete pathologic response was observed in 9.2% (n=7) of patients in the chemotherapy group, and in 0% of patients in the endocrine therapy group (p=0.006). Median follow-up was 46.2 months. Progression was recorded in 23.2% (n=29) of participants, with no significant benefit of NCT over NET in the frequency of locoregional relapses (NET n=8 (10.3%) vs NCT n=4 (5.3%)) (p= 0.369) or the occurrence of distant metastases NAT n=8 (10.3%) vs NCT n=13 (17.1%)) (p=0.216). Multivariate analysis showed that only pathologic lymph node status (ypN2–3) was an independent predictor of progression (p=0.007, OR=3.2; 95%CI: 1.380-7.422). Conclusions. Long-term outcomes after neoadjuvant hormone therapy are comparable with chemotherapy in the group of postmenopausal women with luminal HER2-breast cancer. The small sample size and limited follow-up period are significant limitations of our work.

Abstract:
Abstract In 2010, World Health Organization classified gastric neuroendocrine tumor (NET) as follows: NET grade (G) 1, NET G2, neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC). We reviewed 22 gastric NETs that were encountered in our institutions. Nine, 6, and 4 were NET G1, G2, and NEC, respectively. We also encountered 3 NET G3. NET G1 was treated with observation in 2 patients, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) in 3, and gastrectomy in 4 patients. No recurrence was experienced during a median of 53 months of follow-up. All NET G2 was treated with gastrectomy. No patient experienced recurrence during a median of 25 months of follow-up. NET G3 was treated with gastrectomy. One patient died of liver metastasis 52 months after gastrectomy. For NEC, gastrectomy was performed in 3 cases and no patients died of tumor-related death. We conclude that the prognoses of NET G1 and G2 were good. We also experienced long-term survivors of NEC. An accumulation of more patients is needed for further investigation.

Abstract:
Data on gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) G3 (well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors (NET G3) and neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC)) are limited. We retrospectively study patients with NET G3 and NEC from eight European centers. Data examined included clinical and pathological characteristics at diagnosis, therapies and outcomes. Two hundred and four patients were analyzed (37 NET G3 and 167 NEC). Median age was 64 (21–89) years. Tumor origin included pancreas (32%) and colon-rectum (27%). The primary tumor was resected in 82 (40%) patients. Metastatic disease was evident at diagnosis in 88% (liver metastases: 67%). Median Ki-67 index was 70% (30% in NET G3 and 80% in NEC;P<0.001). Median overall survival (OS) for all patients was 23 (95% CI: 18–28) months and significantly higher in NET G3 (99 vs 17 months in NEC; HR=8.3;P<0.001). Platinum-etoposide first line chemotherapy was administered in 113 (68%) NEC and 12 (32%) NET G3 patients. Disease control rate and progression free survival (PFS) were significantly higher in NEC compared to NET G3 (P<0.05), whereas OS was significantly longer in NET G3 (P=0.003). Second- and third-line therapies (mainly FOLFIRI and FOLFOX) were given in 79 and 39 of NEC patients; median PFS and OS were 3.0 and 7.6 months respectively after second-line and 2.5 and 6.2 months after third-line chemotherapy. In conclusion, NET G3 and NEC are characterized by significant differences in Ki-67 index and outcomes. While platinum-based chemotherapy is effective in NEC, it seems to have limited value in NET G3.

Abstract:
With the continuous development of computer and network techniques as well as the extensive application of modern means of communications, computer plays an important role in the social life of modern society. It is always associated with a large number of files which are frequently used. Although new computer hardware products provided by various makers help people to solve the problem that have arisen in carrying files, people still face some difficulties in carrying storage devices. This project will partly realize the basic function of the net hard disk. The net hard disk is used to store the files of users on the internet, making it easy for users to carry files and share files with their friends. The uses are able to download, upload, copy, move and delete files and create a new file folder. They can also create, freeze, delete and alter their account. People can retrieve the file they want from the hard disk without anytime at any place.

Mizuguchi, Satoshi. "Net Impulse and Net Impulse Characteristics in Vertical Jumping." Digital Commons @ East Tennessee State University, 2012. https://dc.etsu.edu/etd/1459.

Full text
Abstract:
The purpose of this dissertation was to explore the potential use of net impulse and its characteristics in vertical jumping to monitor athletes' performance status and responses/adaptations to interventions. Five variables were proposed as net impulse characteristics: net impulse height and width, rate of force development, shape factor, and net impulse proportion. The following were then examined: 1) test-retest reliability of a new approach to identify net impulse in a force-time curve and of net impulse characteristics and criterion validity of the new approach; 2) effective measures of net impulse characteristics; 3) relationships between training-induced changes in its characteristics and force production ability. The following are major findings of the dissertation. Rate of force development particularly for the countermovement jump require a large magnitude of change to overcome the variable's inherent variability. Shape factor and net impulse proportion for the static jump should be used with caution and requires further investigations. Alternative net impulse can be used interchangeably to criterion net impulse. Of the proposed net impulse characteristics, net impulse height and width and shape factor were found to contribute to countermovement jump height, whereas all the net impulse characteristics were found to contribute to static jump height. Of the characteristics found to contribute, relative net impulse height (net impulse height divided by system mass) appears to be an important characteristic to achieve a high jump height for the countermovement and static jumps and net impulse proportion for the static jump. A mechanism behind increased countermovement jump height may be an increased countermovement displacement as a result of increased force production ability. A mechanism behind increased static jump height is the increased proportion of the entire positive impulse occupied by net impulse (i.e. increased net impulse proportion). The findings of this dissertation show the possibility of the use of the net impulse characteristics to monitor athletes' performance status and responses/adaptations to interventions. However, because this dissertation was the first to explore the potential use of the net impulse characteristics for athletes' performance monitoring, the existing knowledge is still preliminary and further research is required before practical recommendations are made.

Abstract:
Iris Murdoch is an English writer who had a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is confirmed by clinical examination or postmortem histologic diagnosis. For this reason his books became a source of reliable data for the investigation of the early symptoms of AD detectable in writing. The present research shows that 12 years before he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease through clinical trials of novels written by British author Iris Murdoch and unremarkable in their writing, more precisely in the use of punctuation. The detected alteration suggests that the author from the 64 years begins to fragment their texts, applying additional punctuation of short pauses within sentences, keeping their sizes on average. This behavior is kept writing to the end of life of the author, independent of the size of the books written. In this study were analyzed 24 books of the author, using techniques stemming of words to treat the texts as well as the technique of representing the results as a trajectory in state space, which allowed to accompany the evolution of two metrics the same time and over the life of the author, identifying sudden changes in writing.

Abstract:

The students have been assigned a task from Consid, were they are supposed to develop a web based platform for handling the company’s consult CV:s. The key features of the system are to simplify the administration part at mission procurements towards customers and to match qualified consultants to certain missions.Consid is an international it-consult company and have about 1000 consults working for them. When Consid makes mission procurements towards a customer they have to manually match the best consult against a certain mission, this is both time consuming and complicated. The students started the project with big visions and thoughts about how the work would be performed and how the system would be developed. After the initial meetings and the closer it came to the beginning of programming it became clear that the expectations were too big. This is the biggest lesson learned during the project and something that has come to influence the rest of the development. The students have been compelled to learn a totally new way of structuring the code by the three tier architecture. They have also been able to get a deeper understanding of how system development is performed by companies. Before the project begun the students and the company made a requirement specification for the system. The goals for the system and early limitations were made. Along the project those goals and limitations have been changed. The report handles the work with the development and read up on problems and solutions. It ends with a discussion and is summarized so the reader gets a better picture of the system and the work around it.

Abstract:

Projektet resulterade i två olika saker:
