Full textThe ocean plays a very important role in modulating the temperature of the Earth through absorbing, storing and transporting the energy that arrives from the sun. Better understanding the dynamics of the ocean can help us to better predict the weather and to better comprehend the climate, two topics of special relevance for society. Ocean models had become an extremely useful tools, as they became a framework upon with it was possible to build knowledge. Using computers it became possible to numerically solve the fluid equations of the ocean and by improving how ocean models exploit the computational resources, we can reduce the cost of simulation whilst enabling new developments that will increase its skill. By facing the computational challenges of ocean simulation we can contribute to topics that have a direct impact on society whilst helping to reduce the cost of our experiments. Being the major European ocean model and one of the main state-of-the-art ocean models worldwide, this thesis has focused on the Nucleus NEMO. To find a way to improve the computational performance of ocean models, one of the initial goals was to better understand their computational behaviour. To do so, an analysis methodology was proposed, paying special attention to inter-process communication. Used with NEMO, the methodology helped to highlight several implementation inefficiencies, whose optimization led to a 46-49\% gain in the maximum model throughput, increasing the scalability of the model. This result illustrated that this kind of analysis can significantly help model developers to adapt their code highlighting where the problems really are. Another of the issues detected was that the impact of the domain decomposition was alarmingly underestimated, since in certain circumstances the model's algorithm was selecting a sub-optimal decomposition. Taking into account the factors that make a specific decomposition impact the performance, a method to select an optimal decomposition was proposed. The results showed that that by a wise selection of the domain decomposition it was possible not only to save resources but also to increase the maximum model throughput by a 41\% in some cases. After the successes achieved during the first part of the thesis, that allowed an increase of the maximum throughput of the model by a factor of more than two, the attention focused on mixed-precision algorithms. Ideally, a proper usage of numerical precision would allow to improve the computational performance without sacrificing accuracy. In order to achieve that in ocean models, a method to find out the precision required for each one of the real variables in a code was presented. The method was used with NEMO and with the Regional Ocean Modelling System showing that in both models most of the variables could use less than the standard 64-bit without problems. Last but not least, it was found that being ocean models nonlinear it was not straightforward to determine whether a change made into the code was deteriorating the accuracy of the model or not. In order to solve this problem a method to verify the accuracy of a non-linear model was presented. Although the different contributions that gave form to this thesis have been diverse, they helped to identify and tackle computational challenges that affect computational ocean models. These contributions resulted in four peer-reviewed publications and many outreach activities. Moreover, the research outcomes have reached NEMO and EC-Earth consortium codes, having already helped model users to save resources and time. These contributions not only have significantly improved the computational performance of the NEMO model but have surpassed the original scope of the thesis and would be easily transferable to other computational models.

Full textJe détaille ensuite dans le chapitre 3 les choix effectués pour la conception et la réalisation du détecteur NEMO 3, consacré aux études des processus de double désintaégration bêta. Les performances complètes du détecteur sont aussi rappelées, tant en terme d'identification des fonds, que pour l'ensemble des processus bêta bêta, ainsi que les moyens utilisés par la collaboration pour réduire d'un facteur dix le bruit de fond dû à la présence de radon dans le détecteur, le rendant ainsi négligeable. Ce chapitre, correspondant au "Technical Report" de l'expérience NEMO 3, est écrit en anglais et forme un ensemble complet destiné aux collaborateurs de l'expérience NEMO.
Je termine ce mémoire avec le chapitre 4, par une prospective à dix ans sur les futurs projets expérimentaux en physique de la double désintégration bêta, en insistant d'une part sur le projet SuperNEMO et le programme de R&D à réaliser en France au cours des trois prochaines années, et d'autre part sur la comparaison avec les expériences qui me semblent les plus prometteuses, comme GERDA ou CUORE, avec notamment l'étude de l'effet ds éléments de matrice nucléaires sur la mesure de la masse effective du neutrino.

Full textNF-kB is activated by several stimuli, among them cytokines like TNF or IL1, bacterian products like LPS, viral proteins like Tax and different kind of stress. Phosphorylation of IkBa by IKK complex induces its ubiquitination and degradation by the proteasome. NF-kB can be translocated into the nucleus and regulate genes expression involved in the inflammation process, immune response, cellular adhesion, protection against apoptosis and proliferation. IKK complex is constituted by two catalytic subunits IKK1 and IKK2, and a regulator subunit NEMO (NF-kB Essential MOduIator). Until recently, not any genetic disease was linked to the NF-kB pathway. Two genetic pathologies associated with an X-linked mutation into the gene encoding for NEMO have been identified. These two human pathologies (Incontinentia Pigmenti (IP) and Anhidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia with Immunodeficiency (EDA-ID)) show the importance of the NF-kB pathway in epidermic homeostasia, cutaneous development, natural and acquired immunity, confirming the critical role of NEMO in the NF-kB pathway regulation. The relation structure-fonction of NEMO, and its interactions with proteins implicated in the different pathways driving to NF-kB activation, are still not well known. By using NEMO mutations identified in IP and EDA-ID patients, essentially missense mutations and short deletions, localized in different domains of NEMO, we are trying to understand how NEMO fonctions within IKK complex

Esta pesquisa refuta qualquer sentido pré-linguístico acerca da paternidade e parte de uma crítica às leituras sobre o tema, em Ciências Humanas e Sociais, que se inscrevem na dicotomia biologia versus cultura. Assim, tomando o filme de animação ―Procurando Nemo‖ como um dispositivo de produção de paternidades, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar como a paternidade é performativamente materializada neste filme e, mais precisamente, como este filme trabalha de forma performativa para materializar paternidades. Para dar sustentação teórica aos princípios e escolhas metodológicas desenvolvidas construiu-se uma tríade conceitual estruturada nos conceitos de performatividade, inteligibilidade e materialidade, em diálogo com pressupostos teórico-epistemológicos da Teoria Ator-Rede (TA-R). Do ponto de vista metodológico, as análises não se limitaram aos quase 100 minutos de narrativa, elas focalizaram, sobretudo, em uma rede extensiva de materialidade e socialidades que incluem elementos diversos: notas da produção, críticas cinematográficas, depoimentos obtidos em sites de cinema, bem como textos sócio-educativos. As análises aqui empreendidas buscam tecer essa rede heterogênea na qual a paternidade vai sendo performativamente produzida como materialidade. No jogo performático que se delineia nessa rede, a paternidade se constrói, ao mesmo tempo, como elemento anterior (ou seja, a paternidade é referida como o tema central sobre o qual o filme foi produzido), mas também o destino temático do filme (ou seja, o filme constrói paternidade). Esse jogo produz outros efeitos, por exemplo, pessoas inscrevem suas experiências e expectativas como pais referindo o filme; tomando o filme como exemplo, textos fazem referência à paternidade como conflito eterno entre ser pai ou ser amigo do filho ou sobre a importância do carinho paterno ou a questão dos pais que assumem totalmente a criação dos filhos ou ainda o exemplo da paternidade do filme como reflexo da relação de amor/insegurança do criador em relação à sua criatura etc. São processos identificatórios distintos que se articulam mobilizando conexões diversas cuja heterogeneidade é condição de estabilidade da própria rede. A paternidade é construída no ―filme‖ na repetição persistente, instável e obrigatória, como norma tácita de inteligibilidade cultural que parece útil para manutenção da heteronormatividade, do imperativo da família nuclear e até mesmo a interdição do incesto. A paternidade é produzida como ideal regulatório impossível de ser realizado plenamente (e por isso gerador de exclusões) e estável precariamente conforme as redes que o possibilitam. Todavia, a paternidade não precisa ser desprezada mesmo que (ou inclusive porque) se constitua como mecanismo de coerção e governo, pois a resistência opera no interior da própria norma pela qual são produzidos efeitos, mas sempre sem apreender plenamente sua produção, pois eles testemunham suas instabilidades, incoerências, multiplicidade e, sobretudo, plasticidade

Full textIncontinentia pigmenti (IP, OMIM # 308300) is an X-linked genetic disease which is lethal in boys. In girls, it causes a skin disease that begins soon after birth and evolves along a complex sequence of events involving inflammation, cell hyperproliferation and apoptosis. IP patients can also suffer from ocular, dental and brain anomalies. Brain defects affect about 30% of patients and are characterized by epilepsy and/or cognitive/motor disorders. The IP-causing gene encodes the protein NEMO, an essential component of the signaling pathway NF-kB that regulates immunity, inflammation, proliferation and cell death process. In approximately 70% of IP patients, the same chromosomal rearrangement eliminates almost completely the NEMO gene, generating a loss of activation of the NF-kB pathway. Invalidation of the gene in Nemo mice (Nemo +/- females) provides a model for the study of the cutaneous events observed in IP patients.In order to better define the IP brain anomalies of patients and their origin, which remains obscure, we analyzed the brains of Nemo +/- mice. We show here, using a MRI protocol adapted for brain of seven days (P7), that anomalies are detected in a fraction of the samples. These anomalies are heterogeneous and localized in a non-specific manner, as in humans. They include diffuse hemorrhagic areas, cavities and atrophy of the corpus callosum. This demonstrates the usefulness of the murine system Nemo +/- to also study the IP patient's brain defects. Interestingly, these brain lesions can be detected before birth, at day 18 of development, and are not caused by a neuron, astrocyte or oligodendrocyte dysfunction. Using an immune approach coupled to an in toto analysis of P7 brain, after treating them by chemicals to induce their transparency (iDISCO technique), we detected vascular anomalies, suggesting that this compartment causes the brain defects in IP patients

Full textHuman populations are exposed to infectious agents such as bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites on a daily basis without developing any disease. However, a minority of individuals will suffer from infections to some microbes that are usually non-pathogenic to man, or will undergo severe and/or recurrent diseases usually easily treatable for others. This means that there is variability among individuals regarding their immune system, underlined by genetics between susceptible and resistant individuals. Two types of primary immuno deficiencies with a Mendelian mode of inheritance have been described. The first known as the classical primary immunodeficiency and is monogenic and predisposes in general to infections with a broad spectrum of infectious agents (one gene, multiple infections). The second type is also monogenic but predisposes generally to infections limited to a particular group of pathogens (one gene, one type of infection). The aim of my doctoral research was to characterize two new immunodeficiencies. First I highlighted a new physiopathological mechanism of the NEMO protein, a regulator of NF-κB pathway. This defect is characterized by normal protein expression and folding, but a specific defect of NEMO’s ubiquitin binding, which is an essential mechanism for the activation and regulation of the NF-κB pathway. This demonstrates that normal expression and structure of the protein do not exclude a pathological role of NEMO mutations in EDA-ID. I also described a new immune deficiency affecting the respiratory burst pathway in granulocytes which specifically confers a selective susceptibility to pyogenic bacterial infections. We studied a patient who was born from consanguineous parents, and who suffered from recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract and cellulitis to S. epidermidis. By a genetic approach involving linkage analysis and exome sequencing, I identified a rare homozygous mutation (V484M) in the gene encoding for the NRAMP1 protein that co segregates with the disease with an autosomal recessive transmission. Specifically, this mutation impairs NRAMP1 protein expression in granulocytes, while expression remains normal in other phagocytic cells. NRAMP1 deficiency impairs both the respiratory burst and control of in vitro infection by S. aureus in granulocytes. Therefore, we identified the first NRAMP1 human deficiency. The mutation selectively affects granulocytes and is clinically responsible for pyogenic infections. This study helps to delineate the role of NRAMP1 in immunity against pyogenic bacteria through its involvement in reactive oxygen species production in granulocytes

Full textPatients with a defect of IRAK-4, a critical kinase downstream from Toll-like receptors (TLRs), are resistant to common viruses. IFN-α/-β and -lambda induction by the patients' blood cells via TLR7/8/9 was abolished. In contrast, it was normal via TLR3 and 4 activation. The fibroblasts from a child died of herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) encephalitis carrying a hypomorphic mutation in NEMO, an important gene implicated in the NF-kB signalling pathway downstream from TLRs, showed weak induction of IFN-β and -lambda in response to VSV which resulted in enhanced viral replication and cell death. Similar impaired IFN induction was also found after TLR3 stimulation. These two studies suggest a redundant role of TLR7/8/9-mediated innate antiviral immunity by contrast of an indispensable role of TLR3-mediated IFN response in the defence of HSV-1 infection in human central nervous system

Full textUppsatsen handlar om ämnet effektivitet i offentlig sektor. Dimensioner för effektivitet i en process undersöktes genom att granska den öpnna upphandlingen av intensivvårdstryckkammaren Nemo till Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset i Solna. Tidigare studier inom området har visat att effektivitet är svårt att mäta på grund av den offentliga organisationens komplexa karaktär. Samordning av det extrema händelseförloppet under upphandlingen samt resurshanteringen utmanade ledningen av projektet till en kreativ och krävande process. Upphandlingen styrdes utifrån Lagen om offentlig upphandling vilken påverkade att de utvärderingsmetoder som användes under processen följde efter reglerade standarder. Den slutgiltiga utvärderingen utanför förutbestämda och regelbundna rutiner saknades helt vilket styrker vår slutsats om att det sätt som upphandlingar utvärderas på idag behöver ses över. Den bristfälliga statistiken inom området skulle avsevärt kunna förbättras med hjälp av nya metoder för att undersöka upphandlingens effektivitet i sin helhet. Den här fallstudien innehåller ett flertal olika metoder där urvalet har bestått av de personer som har haft det största och tyngsta ansvaret under upphandlingens process.

Complementary to in-situ observations, modelling is an unique tool that helps to understand and quantify biogeochemical controling processes in the Mediterranean Sea, its specificity, and its evolution. In this study, we propose the setting and evaluation of a regional, high resolution, marine dynamicalbiogeochemical coupled model (NEMO-PISCES). It will be the first model available for the MERMEX community, that covers the whole Mediterranean Sea. Therefor, after the evaluation of NEMO-MED12 dynamical forcing fields, within passive tracers simulation (CFC), firsts use of this tool have been made : (i) we have evaluated anthropogenic carbon uptake and induced acidification of the Mediterranean Sea, within a perturbation approach ; (ii) we have analysed Mediterranean Sea trophic regimes, as represented by the model, for different layers of the photic zone

Full textA dissertação investiga a evolução histórica e a situação da garantia contra a autoincriminação na contemporaneidade, nos ordenamentos jurídicos alienígenas e brasileiro. Aponta-se que o objetivo principal da criação da garantia consistiu na tutela da dignidade pessoal do acusado, resguardandose sua liberdade de comunicação, em oposição aos métodos inquisitoriais, comprometidos com a obtenção da confissão a qualquer custo. Sustenta-se que o nemo tenetur somente se efetivou no final do século XVIII, com a prevalência do sistema adversarial e com a garantia do direito de defesa por advogado, no common law, bem como com a superação do sistema inquisitório, no civil law, sob a influência da filosofia iluminista. Investiga-se, sob um enfoque positivista, a estrutura normativa da garantia, na qual se encontram amalgamadas as espécies normativas de princípio e de regra. Propõe-se que o plano principiológico, ou de proteção prima facie, identificase com o direito de não cooperar com a produção da prova, nível em que a garantia comporta restrições. Tais restrições compreendem a cooperação passiva (obtida através de reconhecimentos pessoais, registros, inspeções e intervenções corporais coercitivas) e inconsciente (obtida com o emprego de meios enganosos), que se revelam necessárias para a tutela de outros direitos fundamentais envolvidos no processo. Sustenta-se que, no nível da regra, situam-se o direito ao silêncio, por ocasião dos interrogatórios formais, e o direito a não realização de conduta ativa que introduza informação ao processo. Neste plano, defende-se que não se admitem quaisquer restrições, sob pena de violação do conteúdo essencial da garantia. Observa-se, ainda, que as restrições à garantia demandam previsão legal e obediência estrita ao princípio da proporcionalidade, sob pena de se transmudarem em verdadeiras violações, causadoras da ilicitude da prova produzida. Sustenta-se, enfim, que a garantia contra a autoincriminação é uma pedra de toque do processo penal democrático, impedindo a coisificação do acusado e preservando sua autonomia ética. Nada obstante, argumenta-se que o nemo tenetur é passível de limites em seu plano principiológico, que surgem em virtude das inevitáveis colisões entre direitos fundamentais no Estado Social e Democrático de Direito, desafiando a decotação de seus aspectos hipertróficos, no escopo de se estabelecer a almejada zona de equilíbrio entre os legítimos interesses em jogo no palco do processo.

Full textThe main objective of this work is to improve our knowledge on the impact of the Northern Current (NC)mesoscale activity off the Var coast on its downstream flow and on the links between this boundary current andthe coastal dynamics, particularly in a semi-enclosed bay and shallow: the bay of Hyères. To do so, twonumerical realistic configurations at high-resolution were used. Based on the NEMO code and nested withAGRIF, the first one covers the French Mediterranean coasts at 1,2 km and the second one covers the Varcoasts with a spatial resolution of 400 m.Simulations comparisons with ocean observations (HF radar, ADCP, glider, satellite SST) confirm therealism of the configurations, and show the contribution of a 400 m spatial resolution on the simulateddynamics in the bay but also on the NC and its downstream flow.Finally, a parametrization study on the horizontal advection terms and vertical mixing provide an improvementof the impact of a downscaling in the studied area, and particularly for the simulated dynamics in the semienclosedbay

Full textSyftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur ett projekt med klassikerläsning i en årskurs åtta går till. Frågeställningarna är hur och varför läraren väljer att lägga upp undervisningen på ett visst sätt, hur eleverna upplever läsningen och lärarens undervisning, samt om det finns några skillnader mellan killar och tjejers läsning. Undersökningen är kvalitativ och har ett didaktiskt och ett receptionsteoretiskt perspektiv. Resultatet visar att läraren konstruerar svenskämnet utifrån ett erfarenhetspedagogiskt perspektiv med skönlitteraturen i centrum och att hon använder sig av litteräranalytiska redskap som beskrivning av tid, huvudperson och handling. Tjejerna är generellt mer positiva till läsning än killarna. Fritidsläsning och medievanor spelar roll för hur eleverna läser och tar till sig skönlitterära texter. Tjejerna har en större litterär repertoar än killarna och visar en större förmåga att kunna kan beskriva och reflektera över sin läsning än killarna.

Full textThis work is part of the NEMO (Neutrino Ettore Majorana Observatory) experiment that is looking for an extremely rare radioactivity: the double beta decay without neutrino emission. Such process could prove the Majorana nature of the neutrino and could give an estimation of its absolute mass. The particularity of this experiment, currently running in the Modane underground laboratory (LSM), is the extreme weak signal (for T1/2 ~ 1024 years, a few events per year). It requires therefore very stringent conditions on all components of the background among which the level of radon and thoron activity. After a reminding of the general properties of radon and thoron as well as their influence on the NEMO data, this thesis focuses on the detection of these radioactive gases using the technique of electrostatic collection. The radon and/or the thoron daughters are collected by an electrostatic field on the surface of a silicon diode, where their characteristic alphas are detected. We have shown that the detection efficiencies are strongly influenced by the experimental conditions and that sensitivity around 1 mBq/m3 can be achieved for the radon in a gas. A series of measures through low background gamma spectrometer allowed us to understand the origin of the radon background, and thus showing that better sensitivity could be obtained by increasing the detection volume and by carrying out a strict selection of non-radioactive materials. For the thoron gas, which had never been studied before, the detection efficiencies have been found very low as a consequence of the short periods involved. Therefore, a continuous monitoring of the level of thoron in the NEMO gas is excluded, which underlines the importance for the NEMO experimental device to be able to control its own background
Nghiên cứu này nằm trong khuôn khổ thí nghiệm NEMO, hiện đang trong những bước lấy số liệu cuối cùng tại phòng thí nghiệm ngầm Modane, nhằm ghi nhận phân rã bêta kép không kèm theo phát xạ neutrino, để từ đó chứng minh bản chất Majorana của hạt neutrino và cho phép ước lượng khối lượng tuyệt đối của hạt này. Phân rã này, nếu thật sự tồn tại, là loại phân rã cực hiếm (T1/2 > 1024 năm, tương đương với vài tín hiệu ghi nhận được mỗi năm). Vì thế, nó đòi hỏi những điều kiện rất gắt gao đối với mọi thành phần cấu thành nên phông nền bức xạ, trong đó bao gồm hoạt độ của radon và thoron. Full textIn the Indonesian seas, large tidal currents interact with the rough topography and create strong internal waves at the tidal frequency, called internal tides. Part of them will eventually propagate and dissipate far away from generation sites. Their associated mixing upwells cold and nutrient-rich water that prove to be critical for climate system and for marine resources. This thesis uses the physical ocean general circulation model, NEMO, as part of the INDESO project that aims at monitoring the Indonesian marine living resources. Models not taking into account tidal missing are unable to correctly reproduce the vertical structure of watermasses in Indonesian seas. However, taking into account this mixing is no simple task as the phenomena involved in tidal mixing cover a wide spectrum of spatial scales. Internal tides indeed propagate over thousands of kilometres while dissipation and mixing occurs at centimetric to millimetric scales. A model capable of resolving all these processes at the same time does not exist. Until now scientists either parameterised the tidal mixing or used models which only partly resolve internal tides. More and more scientists introduce explicit tidal forcing in their models but without knowing where the energy is going and how the internal tides are dissipated. This thesis intends to quantify energy dissipation in NEMO forced with explicit tidal forcing and compares it to the dissipation induced by the currently used parameterization. This thesis also provides new results about the quantification of the tidal energy budget in NEMO. I first contributed to an INDESO study that aimed at validating the model against several observation data sets. In a second and third study, I investigated the mixing produced in the model by explicit tidal forcing and its impact on water mass. Explicit tides forcing proves to produce a mixing comparable to the one produced by the parameterization. It also produces a significant cooling of 0.3 °C with maxima reaching 0.8°C in the areas of internal tide generation. The cooling is stronger on austral winter. The spring tides and neap tides modulate this impact by 0.1°C to 0.3°C. The model generates 75% of the expected internal tides energy, in good agreement with other previous studies. In the ocean interior, most of it is dissipated by horizontal momentum dissipation (19 GW), while in reality one would expect dissipation through vertical possesses. This value is close to the dissipation induced by the parameterization (16 GW). The mixing is strong over generation sites, and only 20% remains for far field dissipation mainly in the Banda and Sulawesi Seas. The model and the recent INDOMIX cruise [Koch-Larrouy et al. (2015)], which provided direct estimates of the mixing, are surprisingly in good agreement mainly above straits. However, in regions far away from the energy generation sites where INDOMIX found NO evidence of intensified mixing, the model produces too strong mixing. The bias comes from the lack of specific set up of internal tides in the model. More work is thus needed to improve the modeled dissipation, which is a theme of active research for the scientific community. I dedicated the last part of my thesis to the quantification of tidal energy sinks in NEMO. I first worked on a simple academic case: the COMODO internal tides test case, which analyses the behaviour of a vertically stratified fluid forced by a barotropic flow interacting over an idealized abyssal plain/slope/shelf topography without bottom friction. The results of the finite element T-UGOm hydrodynamic model are compared with those of NEMO. The prosperous development of wireless network has made the related products and service more diverse. The original framework of IPv4 is not useful enough so the IPv6 develop more practically for vendors and is becoming the main trend. Therefore it pushed IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) established a Network Mobility Working Group for discussing and solving the problems of Network Mobility, included the problems of Nested NEMO. This thesis introduces a mathematical method to model the network mobility (NEMO) network routing schemes. We suggest by using the Basic-NEMO and Nested-NEMO model as the step stone for analyzing and comparing the perplexity of NEMO basic operations (NEMO Basic Support). This article discuss with several routing optimization mechanisms, included Reverse Routing Header (RRH)[10], and approximately routing optimization (Approx-RO) scheme[5], NEMO-DHA. We compared those schemes with the model that we assumed, to insure the result could tell us the strength and weakness by analyzing them.

Full textThe following study aims to tackle the topic of the defendant’s status as party in a legal process, as subject to coercive measures, or as legal evidence, as well as the procedural cooperation that he is or may be required to provide in the procedures to discover the truth of facts. As a touchstone of the accusatorial structure in criminal procedures, the principle of non self-incrimination, embodied in the Latin maxim nemo tenetur se ipsum acussare, is an inference from the parties’ freedom of action that is particularly relevant in the defendant’s case. The borderline cases of conflict between principles don’t meet any response nor reach consensus in doctrine and in case-law, either national or foreign, using criteria often on a case-by-case basis which does not indicate the undispensable and desirable legal security. Thus, this study is an attempt to circumscribe the very core of the principle of non self-incrimination and to define its restrictions according to general and abstract negative delimitation criteria.

There is, however, such as musty, absolute constitutional rights, even though they contain immutable clauses, which should, therefore, weigh it on one side should guarantee the rights of the individual citizen, the other can not, under this argument, stop giving shelter to the interests of all society. It is true, moreover, that the superposition of the public interest over the particular does not allow the Government to all sorts of abusive measures to collect evidence that interest in the investigation of crimes. Procedures for the purpose of collecting evidence in criminal deeds, if not damaging to the health, physical integrity and / or human dignity, and being the only possible and reasonable to seek the necessary proof, we present appropriate and proportionate, not hurting, so, no fundamental right of human beings. Thus, in view of these circumstances, the present study aimed to analyze the constitutional, procedural and sociological the right to silence and privilege against self-incrimination enshrined, to repeat, is the principle nemo tenetur detegere. The object of the legal systems - constitutional and infra - several countries, including Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Argentina and especially Brazil and Portugal. The methodology used in this work remains based on desk research, literature and the systematic analysis of case law arising from various High Courts Brazilian Federal Supreme Court and Superior Court of Justice (STJ and STF), was also observed some decisions of the Court European Human Rights (ECHR). It was concluded that the principle nemo tenetur detegere is adopted in many countries of the world, whether in the form of explicit or tacit, implicit, is not to be considered absolute, giving way, under certain conditions, to respect the interests of the community.

With the progress of portable mobile devices, mobile agent technology has become the popular research treads in the wireless network. Network Mobility (NEMO) has been proposed by IETF for support the mobility of mobile network. Because of the mobility of Mobile Agent (MA), the potential benefits of the mobile agent are useful for the wireless network. In this paper, we proposed two different schemes. The proposed scheme 1 is the higher nested level the Mobile Router (MR) stays, the more agent information the MR records. The proposed scheme 2 is only the current MR where mobile agent now locates has the responsibility for maintaining the mobile agent. By comparisons between the registration frequency and the search overhead, we can see there exist tradeoffs for both of two schemes. The proposed schemes have their advantages and disadvantages, and to achieve the maximum effectiveness, the choices for different network environment and user demands are the important keys.
