Identifying itself with the concept of politics and claiming for a democratic revolution, Negri’s constituent power theory not only criticizes ordinary definitions and limitations of constituent power conceived by juridical and sociological scholars, but also rejects their assumptions and major arguments, adopting, consequently, theories usually forgotten, perhaps even disliked such as the Machiavellian political thoughts, the Marxian materialism and the Spinozian philosophical immanency. Despite of the notable feature, the strong philosophical arguments and the complex research accomplished by Negri on formulation of his concept of constituent power, this work will try to present, although briefly, some comments about his thesis based on Spinoza’s philosophy. Considering Negri had used Spinoza’s philosophy as foremost argument of his theoretical proposition, including, embracing and interpreting specific terms of this philosophical theory, it will be analyzed themes as like free necessity, science and dynamics of affections and law, which – because of relevance to Spinoza’s literature - deserve to be thoughtfully examined and compared with elements of Negri’s constituent power theory. A teoria do poder constituinte formulada por Antonio Negri – alicerçada, precipuamente, no pensamento de Maquiavel, Marx e Espinosa – diferencia-se, sobejamente, das demais concepções de poder constituinte, visto que, em vez de buscar arrefece-lo ou controla-lo, Negri apresenta o poder constituinte como procedimento absoluto, ilimitado e inconcluso. Identificando-se com o conceito de política e clamando por uma revolução democrática, a teoria do poder constituinte negriana não apenas critica as definições e as limitações usuais de poder constituinte elaboradas pelas forjas jurídicas e sociológicas, como também repudia os pressupostos e os fundamentos destas, adotando, por conseguinte, teorias usualmente olvidadas, quiçá repugnadas, quais sejam, a política maquiaveliana, o materialismo marxiano e a filosofia imanentista espinosana. Não obstante o caráter vanguardista, a robusta fundamentação teórica e a complexa pesquisa efetuada por Negri na elaboração de seu conceito de poder constituinte, buscar-se-á apresentar, conquanto de forma sintética, algumas possíveis críticas ao seu construto teórico a partir da filosofia de Baruch de Espinosa. Considerando haver Negri utilizado a filosofia espinosana como argumento basilar de sua proposta teórica, inclusive, adotando e interpretando conceitos próprios daquela, serão analisados temas como livre necessidade, dinâmica e ciência dos afetos e direito, que, por serem caros à literatura espinosana, merecem, de forma crítica e percuciente, ser examinados e cotejados com elementos da teoria do poder constituinte negriana.

Abstract:

Esta pesquisa vai às obras filosóficas de Michael Hardt e Antonio Negri a fim de investigar possibilidades de organização de lutas contra o presente estado de coisas, ou seja, de lutas revolucionárias. Hardt e Negri desenvolvem o tema a partir de uma apreensão do leninismo, entendido não como fórmula de organização de um partido de vanguarda, mas como adequa-ção da composição política dos trabalhadores (forma da organização) à sua composição técni-ca (forma hegemônica da produção). Nesta chave, acompanhamos a investigação que fazem das novas formas de produção, chamadas por alguns de pós-fordistas e, por eles, recorrendo à terminologia foucaultiana, de produção biopolítica, que consiste num trabalho socializado que produz o que chamam de comum. Esse novo paradigma da produção tem por sujeito e objeto a vida, cuja principal força é o desejo. Posto isso, a questão que eles nos oferecem e que tomamos como central para nossa pesquisa é: como organizar o desejo? Seguimos sua trilha em busca dessa renovação do leninismo, a fim de compreender o que entendem por de-sejo tal que possa ser organizado, e o resultado disso, que vem a ser o conceito de multidão. A multidão, como desejo organizado, luta contra o presente estado de coisas, isto é, dentro de e contra um mercado mundial totalizante que Hardt e Negri chamam de império. This dissertation goes to Michael Hardts and Antonio Negris philosophical works in search of possibilities for the organization of struggles against the present state of things, or for the organization of revolutionary struggles. Hardt and Negri develop this subject from a unique approach of Leninism, understood not as some party of vanguard formula but as an adequacy between workers technical and political compositions (or between the way people work and the way they struggle). In this sense, we follow the inquiry Hardt and Negri make on the new forms of production, post-fordist produc-tion to some and biopolitical production to them, resorting to Foucaults terminology. Such production consists on a socialized work that produces that which they call the common. This new paradigm of production takes life itself both as its subject and ob-ject, and its main strength is desire. From this point, the questioning they offer us and that we take as central in this research is: how to organize desire? We follow their tracks on this renewal of Leninism, trying to understand what desire is in order to be organized, and its outcome, i.e., the concept of multitude. Multitude, as organized de-sire, struggles against the present state of things, inside and against a totalizing world market that Hardt and Negri call empire.

Abstract:

Esta dissertação é o resultado de uma pesquisa sobre a categoria trabalho que principiou pelas obras escritas em conjunto por Antonio Negri e Michael Hardt, em especial a trilogia Império, Multidão e Commonwealth e se estendeu posteriormente para suas obras individuais e os autores que dialogam com Negri apoiando e criticando suas ideias e inovações. A motivação fundamental foi encontrar caminhos de mudança das relações assimétricas de poder e recompensa que reifica o trabalhador e sua vida cada vez mais levando sofrimento à maior parte dos seres humanos ao viverem uma vida menor considerando o potencial de aprender, produzir e ser sempre fonte e destino de mais vida. A pesquisa levou também à crítica construtiva dirigida sobretudo à ausência, na obra de Negri, do saber psicanalítico como instrumental para compreender a gênese do sujeito considerando quão fundamentais são as questões sobre trabalho e produção de subjetividade levantadas por Negri. This dissertation is the result of a research over the category of labour initially focused on the work developed together by Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt, especially the trilogy Empire, Multitude and Commonwealth and was later extended to their individual work and to those authors that has stablished a dialogue with Negri as supporters and critics of his ideas an innovations. The primary motivation was to find ways to change asymmetrical relations of power and welfare which reifies the worker and his life more and more implying suffering for most of mankind as they live a minor life considering the potential of each one to learn, create and become a source and a destination of more life. The research has led to a constructive critique oriented overall to the absence of psychoanalytical knowledge as an instrument to understand the genesis of the subject, especially considering how essential the questions about labour and production of subjectivity raised by Negri are.

For this, since a class thought has to deal with the problematic of the "subject", we take as a starting point the criticisms made, especially by Althusser, to the modern notion of the Subject and to the humanism thought, seeking an endeavor that consists in thinking what would be an anti and post-humanist social class. Negri claims that his work uses the Marxian method, although he is more influenced by Foucault and Deleuze & Guattari than by the Marxist orthodoxy as such, which already indicates his precautions against the subject and humanism, which doesn’t prevents him, however, from insisting on a Marxism that prays for the space of subjectivity. In this way he proposes an update of class discourse using what he claims to be the Marxian method for criticizing the capitalist mode of production and, in the face of the characteristics of a transformed capitalism, rescues or creates new concepts for it – such as multitude, Empire, immaterial labor, common, biopolitics and real subsumption. The present research, therefore, tries to analyze Negri’s work in order to verify how the concepts are articulated in a movement of thought that differs from the object of criticism of the anti and the post-humanist thought, although Negri declares himself as a humanist – a humanism of a different kind, naturally. O presente trabalho se concentra em problematizar o conceito de multidão, dos filósofos Antonio Negri e Michael Hardt, focando a investigação na sua constituição enquanto conceito de classe social em um sentido marxista. Para tanto, visto que um pensamento de classe tem de se haver com a problemática do “sujeito”, tomamos como ponto de partida as críticas efetuadas, sobretudo por Althusser, ao Sujeito moderno e ao humanismo para uma empreitada que consiste em pensar o que seria uma classe social anti e pós-humanista. Negri afirma que sua obra utiliza o método marxiano, ainda que ele se coloque mais influenciado por Foucault e Deleuze & Guattari do que pela ortodoxia marxista enquanto tal, o que já nos indica suas precauções em relação ao Sujeito e ao humanismo, o que não o impede, entretanto, de insistir em um marxismo que preze pelo espaço da subjetividade. Dessa forma, ele propõe uma atualização do discurso de classe utilizando o que alega ser o método marxiano para a crítica do modo de produção capitalista e, diante das características de um capitalismo transformado, resgata ou cria novos conceitos para a mesma – como os de multidão, Império, trabalho imaterial, comum, biopolítica e subsunção real. Abstract:

A presente dissertação tem como objetivo investigar a formação do conceito de trabalho ima-terial na filosofia de Antonio Negri. Para cumprir essa tarefa, principiamos com o exame de certo itinerário do que se convencionou chamar de operarismo italiano, do qual destacamos alguns aspectos metodológicos de fundamental importância no pensamento de nosso autor, es-pecialmente a copesquisa, desenvolvida por Romano Alquati, e a hipótese operarista, for-mulada por Mario Tronti. Além disso, dedicamo-nos também ao exame da própria reflexão metodológica negriana, a partir do estudo por ele realizado sobre os Grundrisse de Marx. Acre-ditamos que o exame das metodologias operarista, em geral, e negriana, em particular, seja de grande valia para a compreensão das preocupações eminentemente práticas que envolviam es-ses autores e do lugar que é reservado à classe operária em seu pensamento. Em nosso segundo capítulo é investigada a noção de composição de classe, criada e difundida entre os teóricos e militantes operaristas durante os anos sessenta, bem como as variações dessa composição ao longo do último século. Atentamo-nos particularmente ao ciclo de lutas do operário massa e, de maneira ainda mais circunscrita, aos eventos reunidos em torno da criação dos muitos Vietnãs, que, a partir do que foi interpretado por Negri como a recusa do trabalho, levaram à passagem do operário massa para uma figura de classe renovada, chamada de operário so-cial. Nessas lutas, e especialmente na recusa do trabalho, residem os primeiros elementos que permitem a compreensão não só das demandas operárias dos anos sessenta como também das estratégias capitalistas de reestruturação da produção efetuadas nos anos setenta e oitenta, fun-damentais para o advento do trabalho imaterial. Por fim, baseados em algumas pesquisas soci-ológicas realizadas por Negri na virada da década de oitenta para a década de noventa, dedi-camo-nos à compreensão da restruturação da produção capitalista e, paralelamente, das insuficientes considerações negrianas sobre o operário social, duma parte, e à primeira for-mulação do conceito de trabalho imaterial, doutra. A partir dessas pesquisas sociológicas, é possível verificar como essa nova forma de trabalho chamada por Negri de imaterial se vincula com a reestruturação capitalista da produção e à recuperação das demandas operárias feitas no ciclo de lutas do operário massa pelo capital, compreender alguns aspectos empíricos relacio-nados à organização e à realização do trabalho imaterial, a nosso ver ausentes das posteriores obras de nosso autor, e indicar as bases teóricas para as suas mais recentes reflexões sobre esse tema. The present dissertation has as its purpose the investigation on the making of the concept of immaterial labor in the philosophy of Antonio Negri. To do so, we began by examining a certain itinerary of the so called Italian workerism, highlighting some methodological aspects of fun-damental importance in the thought of our author, especially the coresearch developed by Romano Alquati, and the workerist hypothesis, formulated by Mario Tronti. In addition, we also examine the Negris methodological reflection, based on his study on Marx\'s Grundrisse. We think that examining the workerist methodology in general and the Negris methodology in particular is of great value in understanding which were the eminently practical preoccupations involving these authors and what was the space reserved for the working class in their thinking. In our second chapter, the notion of class composition, created and diffused between the the-oreticians and militant workerists in the 1960s, as well as the variations of this composition over the twentieth century, is investigated. We are particularly paying attention to the cycle of struggles of the mass worker and, even more, to the events gathered around the creation of the many Vietnams, which, from what was interpreted by Negri as the refusal of work, led to the passage of the mass worker to a renewed figure of class, the social worker. In these struggles, and especially in the refusal of work, rely the first elements that allow the under-standing not only of the workers demands in the 1960s but also the capitalist restructuring strategies of the 1970s and 1980s, fundamental in the making of the concept of immaterial labor. Finally, based on some sociological research carried out by Negri from the 1980s to the 1990s, we devoted ourselves not only to the understanding of the restructuring of capitalist production and as well as of the - insufficient Negris considerations about the social worker on one hand and the first formulation of the concept of immaterial labor on the other. From this sociolog-ical research, it is possible to verify how this new form of work called immaterial by Negri is linked to the capitalist restructuring of production and to the recovery of the demands made by the mass worker in their cycle of struggles, to understand some empirical aspects related to the organization and execution of immaterial work, in our view absent from the later works of our author, and to point the theoretical basis for his more recent reflections about this subject.

Ambos autores desenvolvem seus conceitos como alternativa filosófica que se impõe contra a estrutura jurídico-política na qual estamos inseridos. Para atingirmos nosso objetivo, procuramos analisar os pressupostos e as questões principais que qualificam tanto o poder constituinte quanto a potência destituinte. Em razão disso, primeiramente investigamos o conceito de potência em cada um dos filósofos, além de Espinosa, tendo em vista não apenas a sua expressão política, mas também sua configuração ontológica. Do mesmo modo, foram objeto de investigação conceitos que são percebidos como essenciais para a correta apreensão do nosso objeto de pesquisa, tais como o de soberania, poder, democracia, multidão, além de inoperosidade, uso, forma-de-vida. Mesmo que haja uma contraposição, uma aporia, entre poder constituinte e potência destituinte, o que está em jogo na teoria de ambos os autores é, justamente, arquitetar novas formas como nós compreendemos a política, o direito, mas também a ontologia que os acompanha. Todo o debate empreendido por Negri por um lado e por Agamben, de outro, está em vista de abrir as alternativas, as possibilidades, para pensarmos uma nova vida política. The present dissertation has as object of investigation two concepts that are inserted in the political and juridical theory in a unique way: constituent power, supported in the Antonio Negri’s interpretation, and destituent potential, that Giorgio Agamben articulates in the end of his project Homo Sacer. Both authors develop their concepts as a philosophical alternative that imposes itself against the juridical-political structure that we are inserted. To reach our goal, we seek to analyze the assumptions and the main issues that qualify both the constituent power and the destituent potential. For this reason, we first investigate the concept of power (potential) in each philosophers, in addition to Espinosa, in view not only its political expression, but also its ontological configuration. In the same way, concepts that are perceived as essential to the correct apprehension of our research object, such as sovereignty, power, democracy, multitude, inoperability, use, form-of-life were also investigated. Even if there is a contraposition, an aporia, between constituent power and destituent potential, what is at the theory of both authors is precisely to architect new ways to we understand politics and law, but also the ontology that accompanies them . All the discussion undertaken by Negri on one hand and by Agamben on the other is aimed in opening alternatives and possibilities for thinking about a new political life.

This work investigates the star images of three European movie players – Pola Negri, Vilma Bánky and Jetta Goudal – who rose to the top of their professions in 1920s Hollywood. It combines the investigation of contemporary American fan magazines, such as Photoplay, Picture Play and Motion Picture Magazine, with the analysis of studio correspondence and other documents, and the examination of the characters and narratives of their films, to develop a thorough understanding of the ways in which Negri, Bánky and Goudal were understood within the realm of contemporary American culture. This discussion places their star personae in the context of discourses pertaining to whiteness, femininity and Americanisation. In the United States, where the stories of rags-to-riches were especially potent, stars could offer models of successful cultural integration. But they could also constitute the exact opposite: tales of failing to adjust to a protestant, middle-class American ethos. Pola Negri, the subject of my first case study, came to prominence by playing roles of seductive, passionate women in German film productions; that typecasting continued after she embarked on her career in the US in the early 1920s. The second case study is of Vilma Bánky, who signed a contract with Samuel Goldwyn’s studio in 1925. Being discovered by an independent producer marked Bánky as a real-life Cinderella, a narrative which worked in conjunction with her looks to establish her as a perfectly non-threatening version of femininity. In the last case study, I interrogate the characteristics of the image Jetta Goudal sustained throughout her film career, emphasising notions of authenticity, exoticism and the framing of female behaviour as difficult. This exploration draws on questions relating to ethnic ambiguity, as Goudal was presented as both French and Asian, national/ethnic categories that have quite different resonances.

Tesis para optar al grado de Magister en Filosofía En la siguiente investigación buscaremos analizar, tanto en el modelo normativo propuesto por Jürgen Habermas y John Rawls, como en la postura biopolítica elaborada en el trabajo conjunto de Michael Hardt y Toni Negri, la relación entre participación política y las categorías de lo público y común respectivamente. Asimismo, buscaremos evaluar cada una de estas propuestas en tanto medios de justificación y desarrollo de la participación política en el contexto democrático contemporáneo. Nuestra postura será que la construcción de una idea de participación política adecuada a las actuales sociedades se deriva y depende estrechamente de la adecuada conceptualización previa de sujeto y espacio social. Las dos grandes tradiciones actuales que ofrecen un marco conceptual para abordar este problema contienen herramientas relevantes para pensar la participación política, sin embargo, creemos que el enfoque biopolítico del sujeto (la multitud) y del espacio social (lo común), ofrece mayores recursos para pensarla en toda su profundidad.

Dans cette thèse, nous avons voulu éclairer les enjeux entourant les réinterprétations et ré-appropriations de Spinoza dans les études politiques contemporaines. Notre analyse nous a permis de montrer que les réinterprétations et les usages actuels de la pensée spinoziste étaient dominés par des auteurs d’obédience marxiste. Ensuite, nous avons examiné plus particulièrement l’influence de cette réappropriation marxiste du spinozisme dans l’œuvre du philosophe italien Antonio Negri. Ce dernier interprète le spinozisme à l’aune d’une pensée révolutionnaire. Nous avons enfin cherché à cerner les limites des usages marxistes de la pensée spinoziste, particulièrement en nous appuyant sur les travaux du philosophe français François Zourabichvili. Tout en défendant un spinozisme plus modéré, Zourabichvili a bien montré que l’interprétation révolutionnaire de Spinoza déforme certains principes qui sont au cœur de la pensée politique spinoziste

This thesis excavates Antonio Negri's theorization of the distinction between 'the material and formal constitution' (one which I distinguish throughout by way of capitalization as 'the material constitution' and 'the formal Constitution' or, in the shorthand contraction, 'c/Constitution'). In the first half of the thesis this is undertaken by way of a theoretical line of inquiry (Chapter I-III) and in the second as a series of concretized case studies drawn from contemporary Canadian constitutional historiography (Chapters IV-VI). The first chapter of this thesis (Chapter I) presents the October 1970 Front de libération de Québec (FLQ) Crisis as an event which contains within itself, not unlike similar events surrounding the kidnap and murder of Aldo Moro by the Brigate Rosse (BR) in 1978 Italy, the contours of a Negri-inspired entry into the subject matter. Chapter II offers a more situated analysis of some of Negri's key texts on the c/Constitution from the sixties, seventies, eighties and nineties to further ground the conceptual experiment underlying the thesis. Chapter III examines how Negri's thought is developed and brought up to date in his English language collaboration with Michael Hardt. Here, a significant detour will be taken through the critical literature responsive to Empire (2000). This is done first in a contemporary Canadian analysis of the form of sovereignty corresponding to 'Empire' (Chapter IV); second in a Canadian inquiry into the form of collective subjectivity understood by the concept of 'the multitude' (Chapter V); and, third in an Indigenous Canadian consideration of possible alternatives to the Constitution of the State in the 'constitution of the common' (Chapter VI).

Propõe-se examinar o processo de afirmação de novos direitos, tomando por ponto de partida o pensamento dos filósofos Alain Badiou e Antônio Negri, de quem se realiza uma leitura seletiva e intensiva das obras. Disserta-se sobre a articulação entre ontologia, evento e poder constituinte, como polos para uma teoria do sujeito. Trata-se da questão da afirmação de direitos além, ou antes, de o estado reconhecê-los. Um direito vivo liberto das mediações do estado e do mercado. O direito como potência e não sob a espécie da norma. Discutem-se ainda os conceitos de direito singular e direito comum. O sujeito em pauta é o sujeito comunista, interno ao movimento real de abolição do estado de coisas, na esteira de Karl Marx. Outros autores abordados com frequência são Spinoza e Hegel. Apresentam-se brevemente o método da copesquisa militante (do operaísmo autonomista), o materialismo dialético da cisão (Badiou) e a práxis constituinte (Negri). Mais além de uma discussão restrita ao campo de filosofia política, adota-se a perspectiva de que o pensamento é imediatamente político, que se pode exercer uma política na filosofia e produção do conhecimento. Conclui-se com o cotejamento entre as teorias do sujeito de Negri e Badiou, quanto aos pontos desdobrados neste trabalho, e como esse parcial encontro pode potenciar ferramentas práticas e teóricas. This dissertation addresses the issue of how to create new rights, breathing the air of the radical thought of Alain Badiou and Antonio Negri, from whom it has been made an intensive and selective review. It goes over the articulation of ontology, event and constituent power, as polarities for a theory of the subject. The question in discussion is about rights beyond, or before, the state recognizes them. A living law freed from states or markets mediations. Law as power [potentia], and not sub species of the norm. Singular right and common right are also discussed. The subject in question is communist subject, internal to the real movement for the abolition of the present situation, following Marx. Other authors frequently referred: Spinoza and Hegel. Some methodological aspects are presented briefly: con-ricerca (of operaismo autonomist), dialectical materialism of scission (Badiou) and constituent praxis (Negri). Beyond some debate limited to political philosophy field, this work adopts premise that thinking is immediately political, and that there can be exerted a political intervention in philosophy itself and knowledge production. The conclusion puts Negris and Badious theories of subject to interact, on points developed through the text, aiming hopefully to contribute for some practical or theoretical tools. A special remark must be made for the importance of the double procedure pars construens pars destruens, for a truly subversive and radical politics. The mutual incidence of one over the other is vital for any movements real capacity of transformation.

Il presente lavoro di tesi consiste nel progetto di recupero di una villa storica, risalente alla metà del XVI secolo, situata in zona collinare, nel comune di Ozzano dell’Emilia, che si presenta in un notevole stato di abbandono, ma in buone condizioni strutturali. In seguito all’analisi evolutiva, è stato effettuato un rilievo geometrico della Villa e dei propri elementi costruttivi e strutturali; procedendo poi alla realizzazione del progetto di recupero architettonico e prestazionale, che seguendo le linee guida date dalla Committenza, rendesse possibile il riutilizzo della villa, abbandonata ormai da anni. Assieme al progetto architettonico, sono stati sviluppati anche un’altra serie di progetti fondamentali al pieno recupero dell’edificio: - il progetto impiantistico, riguardante il sistema di riscaldamento invernale, raffrescamento estivo e la ventilazione forzata degli ambienti; - il progetto della prevenzione incendi, anche questo fondamentale, in quanto all’interno della villa, la committenza, prevede la presenza costante di un esiguo numero di persone; - il progetto strutturale, riguardante l’individuazione delle vulnerabilità sismiche che potrebbero portare, in caso di sisma, all’attivazione dei cinematismi di collasso, attraverso la valutazione della sicurezza sismica del fabbricato. Per fare ciò, è stata effettuata un’analisi qualitativa del comportamento globale del manufatto attraverso modelli semplificati LV1; i quali sono stati affiancati ai risultati ottenuti tramite l’applicazione delle tabelle CINE, che analizzano invece i meccanismi locali. All’interno del progetto strutturale, si è proceduto a studiare e verificare anche gli altri interventi strutturali, resi necessari a rendere la villa usufruibile per le funzioni richieste dalla Committenza.

La presente tesis es un ejercicio de hermenéutica respecto de la filosofía política del profesor Antonio Negri desde el campo de la pedagogía y la didáctica. Es una diseminación, en el sentido de propagación, de ciertos contenidos de la teoría desarrollada por él en el terreno de la filosofía política, que lleva o extiende algunas de sus concepciones a un terreno epistemológico distinto al que se han producido. Es una aportación a la pedagogía y a la didáctica desde un particular enfoque del hecho educativo -el aprendizaje y la enseñanza- movido principalmente por el deseo de radicalización de la democracia en el seno de la institución escolar. Un deseo que la necesidad perentoria marcada por la actual crisis de los modelos educativos burocráticos convierte en anhelo. Esa es la intención que nos ha movido. Nuestra preocupación por la desburocratización y la democratización de la llamada educación formal y también el importante papel de la institución escolar en cuanto a dotación de autonomía para los sujetos a la misma nos ha llevado a seleccionar a este filósofo italiano. Antonio Negri es uno de los más importantes exponentes del movimiento autónomo en Italia, el llamado también 'laboratorio italiano', consecutivo al conocido como 'mayo francés' y que se prolongó prácticamente toda una década en el caso italiano. Nos hemos movido hacia la incursión en sus textos con intenciones diseminatorias porque este entramado textual representa un compendio de las conclusiones post-facto de todas las múltiples experiencias que en Italia se llevaron a cabo en el sentido de la autonomía política, la democracia participativa y la horizontalidad de las relaciones de cooperación entre las singularidades. Igualmente, nos han atraído sus análisis sobre los cambios que se han producido en el mundo laboral, con la caducidad de los formatos del modo de producción fordista y el paso al postfordismo, los cambios en las formas del poder y de la economía mundial, el fenómeno de la globalización y el impacto de los nuevos recursos comunicativos y colaborativos globales que se han derivado de la creación y desarrollo de internet, la red global comunicativa y cooperativa. Desde nuestro punto de vista, la institución escolar debe ser sensible a todos estos cambios y aprovecharlos para su transformación radical democrática. Nuestra intención ha sido explorar el terreno de la filosofía política, aunque nos alejemos del pensamiento y los útiles didácticos al uso, a la búsqueda de las claves necesarias, para, una vez de vuelta al terreno de lo educativo, la pedagogía y la didáctica, haber adquirido la distancia crítica necesaria a partir de la cual enjuiciar el objeto de estudio y propuestas: la institución escolar. Oximóricamente: La cosa es descosificable. This thesis is a hermeneutic exercise concerning Antonio Negri’s political philosophy from the fields of pedagogy and didactics. It is a dissemination of certain contents of theory that has been developed by him in the propagation sense in the field of political philosophy ,which carries or extends some of its conceptions to a different epistemological field from that which has been produced previously. It is a contribution on pedagogy and didactics from a particular focus on the educational bias the learning and the teaching process which is mainly motivated by the will to radicalise democracy in the heart of scholastic institutions. A desire that the pressing need which is influenced by the current crisis of the educational bureaucratic models changes into an aspiration. This is the intention that has motivated us. Our worry about debureaucratisation and democratisation of the so called formal education and also the important role of the scholastic institution concerning the allowance for the autonomy of the subjects has led us to choose this Italian philosopher. Antonio Negri is one of the most important exponents of the autonomous movement in Italy, the so called “Italian laboratory”, consecutive to the known “French May” which was extended practically throughout a whole decade in the Italian case. We have moved towards the incursion in his texts with disseminative intentions because this textual network represents a compendium of the post-facto conclusions of the all the multiple experiences that were carried out in Italy in the political autonomy’s sense, the participative democracy and the horizontality of the cooperative relations among the singularities.

DE ENSINO O presente trabalho pretende apresentar e discutir a perspectiva teórica de constituição de uma democracia absoluta pelo poder constituinte da multidão no pensamento de Antonio Negri (inclusive nas elaborações nascidas de seu trabalho conjunto com Michael Hardt). Com este objetivo, numa primeira etapa buscar-seá abordar as principais bases filosóficas da reflexão de Negri sobre o tema, identificadas aqui nas obras de Nicolau Maquiavel, Baruch Espinosa e Karl Marx. Através de tais autores, Negri realiza o resgate de uma modernidade emancipatória bastante diferente da modernidade hegemônica – cujo projeto temse afirmado através do recurso à representação e à criação de figuras transcendentes como a soberania, o povo e a nação –, a partir da constatação da possibilidade de construção de uma outra forma de democracia, imanente e absoluta. Uma segunda etapa será dedicada à reflexão em torno da recuperação categoria de multidão, defendida por Negri, a partir de suas reflexões sobre Espinosa, como sujeito adequado e potente para a constituição do projeto democrático na pós-modernidade, momento em que as transformações no mundo do trabalho são tidas como tão profundas que impõem uma nova concepção de sujeito revolucionário. Numa terceira etapa, tratar-se-á então da democracia absoluta concebida por Negri, referida neste trabalho como democracia do comum. O comum é aqui categoria conceitual chave para a compreensão do projeto negriano, motivo pelo qual nos debruçaremos sobre tal noção antes de articular sujeito multidão e projeto constituinte da democracia. Por fim, serão apresentadas as conclusões resultantes da discussão proposta neste trabalho. This paper intends to present and discuss Antonio Negri s theoretical perspective about the constitution of an absolute democracy by constituent power of the multitude (including elaborations born in his joint work with Michael Hardt). For this purpose, the firtst stage will deal with the main philosophical bases of Negri reflection on the topic, here identified in the writings of Niccolò Machiavelli, Baruch Spinoza and Karl Marx. Through these authors, Negri performs a rescue of a _ emancipatory modernity a quite different of the hegemonic modernity - whose design has been argued through the use of representation and the creation of transcendent figures as sovereignty, people and nation - starting from the verification of the possibility to build another form of democracy, immanent and absolute. The second stage will be dedicated to reflection on the recovery of the multitude category, held by Negri, from his reflections on Spinoza as an appropriate and powerful subject to the constitution of the democratic project in postmodernity, at which the transformations in world of work are considered so deep that require a new conception of a revolutionary subject. On the third stage, will then be addresses the absolute democracy conceived by Negri, referred to in this paper as the common democracy. Here, the common is a concept key to understanding the Negri s project, reason why this paper devotes on this idea before connect multitude subject and constitutional project of democracy. Finally, the conclusions will be presented as contributions to the discussion proposed in this paper.

Abstract:

The concept of the common, found in Hardt and Negri, provides the possibility of theorising struggle that avoids the critiques that suggest Empire remains intangible, ethereal and postmodern. The concept, however, remains fragmentarily developed by the authors themselves, and is rarely the subject of sustained analysis in the secondary literature. Therefore, in order to substantiate the concept, I consider the common through three distinct moments which I identify as the urban, digital and political moments. This task is achieved through theoretical interlocutions and reflections on the 2011 Occupy movement. Throughout this thesis, and through each moment of the common, I argue that the concept must be understood as distinctly physical. Firstly, struggles over the urban common revolve around the physical (re)production of ideas, knowledge, culture and relationships in urban environments. Whilst the digital common often implies a lack of physicality, I argue that the common offers a means of thinking social media and perpetual connectivity primarily as a process of transforming the way humans engage with one another and their environments, and the radical possibilities therein. I argue that these moments of the common necessitate the development of an appropriate political moment of the common. Through centring on the physicality of struggle, Hardt and Negria's concept of the common is substantiated whilst contributing to wider debates in the field of radical theory and social movements.

La réplication et l'assemblage de nombreux virus ont lieu dans des compartiments spécialisés appelés usines virales. Le virus de la rage induit la formation d'inclusions cytoplasmiques, les corps de Negri (CN). Les CN sont composés des protéines N, P et L ainsi que de protéines cellulaires et des ARN viraux, ils sont le lieu de la réplication et de la transcription virale. Aux temps précoces, il y a un nombre limité de CN qui grandissent au cours de l'infection, ensuite leur nombre augmente et des petites inclusions sont détectées. Afin d'analyser la dynamique des CN, nous avons réalisé de la vidéo-microscopie en utilisant un virus fluorescent. Nous avons mis en évidence des fusions de CN qui peuvent expliquer l'augmentation de leur taille. Des structures dynamiques, inférieures à 200 nm, sont éjectées des CN. Elles correspondent à des nucléocapsides (NC) néo-synthétisées. Leur mouvement est microtubules dépendant. Les CN seraient impliqués dans la morphogénèse de NC qui peuvent atteindre la membrane plasmique et former des particules virales ou participer à la genèse d'usines virales tardives. Parallèlement nous avons montré que le virus de la rage induit la formation de granules de stress (GS) connectés aux CN. Les GS sont localisés à proximité et à l'intérieur des CN. Cependant, la formation des GS ne requiert pas TIA-1, dans un contexte infectieux ou non, contrairement à ce qui est décrit dans la littérature Replication and assembly of many non-related viruses occur in specialized intracellular compartments known as viral factories. Rabies virus induces the formation cytoplasmic inclusions, termed Negri bodies (NBs). NBs, are made of N, P and L proteins, and contain also cellular proteins and viral RNAs, they and are sites of viral transcription and replication. At early time post-infection, there is a limited number of NBs which grow with time, then number of NBs increases and smaller inclusions are detected. To analyze the morphogenesis and trafficking of NBs, we have performed live cell imaging by using fluorescent viruses. We have highlighted some events of fusions of NBs that may explain the increase in size of the inclusions during infection. Very small dynamic structures, less than 200nm are ejected from NBs. They could correspond to newly synthesized nucleocapsids (NCs). Their movement is dependent of the microtubule network. NBs are involved in the morphogenesis of NCs, they can either reach the plasma membrane and form new viral particle5 or be used as templates for the formation of late viral factories. In parallel we have shown that rabies virus induces the formation of stress granules (SGs). The rabies virus induced SGs are located in close proximity and within NBs. Labelling of viral RNAs and FISH experiments indicate that viral mRNA are transiently localized in SGs. Depletion of PKF impairs SG formation and favors viral multiplication. As well, depletion of TIA-1 results in an increase of viral replication. However, we have shown that SG formation does not required TIA 1, in an infectious context or not, in contrast to what is described in the literature

O objetivo desta dissertação é analisar, por um viés etico-político, o pensamento dos autores contemporâneos Antonio Negri e Michael Hardt a partir da trilogia Império, Multidão e Comum. A questão filosófica subjacente a toda investigação é como o agir da multidão e a construção do comum contribuem para a construção de uma sociedade mais justa e solidária? A partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, o presente trabalho dissertativo está articulado em três capítulos: I) O Império: uma nova governança mundial; II) A Multidão: um novo sujeito éticopolítico; III) O agir ético da multidão: a construção do comum. Com a referida estrutura, tratase, pois, de apresentar a hegemonia do capital como o novo poder soberano, pois a soberania imperial, de acordo com a análise feita por Negri e Hardt, à luz das considerações de Foucault, procura exercer um domínio biopolítico sobre as pessoas, criando subjetividades baseadas no individualismo e no consumismo, capazes de alimentar o próprio sistema capitalista hegemônico e de enfraquecer as formas cooperativas de vida e de trabalho. Nesse cenário, por meio da tecnologia, o trabalho material parece se tornar cada vez mais imaterial, baseado na troca de informações em modelos de rede. Dessa nova configuração e maneira de refletir sobre o trabalho surge a multidão, um movimento de movimentos no qual as singularidades agem de forma cooperativa, trocando saberes e afetos para reconstruir a sociedade, trocando a competição pelo princípio ético da cooperação, inventando novas formas de vida e enchendo de significado os espaços que foram esvaziados pela cultura do individualismo e da competição. O agir ético da multidão procura construir o comum, isto é, distribuir de forma mais equitativa e justa o que é produzido por todos. No eixo filosófico formado por Maquiavel, Espinosa e Marx, Negri e Hardt encontram o fundamento para pensar o ser a partir de sua imanência e realidade histórica e política, aberta e em constante construção, e, por conseguinte, liberta de dogmatismos e de transcendentalismos. Um ser sempre aberto e em potência para agir diante de tudo o que possa impedir a conservação de sua existência. Por fim, tenta-se, portanto, mostrar como, para Negri e Hardt, o princípio ético da cooperação, que marca o agir da multidão, compreende um ser com uma subjetividade liberta de qualquer determinação e capaz de criar uma sociedade mais justa e solidária. The implicit philosophical question in every inquiry is how the multitude acting and the construction of the common contribute for constructing a society more fair and supportively? After a bibliographic research, this work was divided in three chapters: I) The Empire: a new global governance; II) The Multitude: a new ethical-political individual; III) The multitude ethical acting: building the common. With the referred structure, the capital hegemony is presented as the new sovereign power, as the imperial sovereignty, according to Negri and Hardt’s analysis, in light of Foucault’s considerations, seeks exerting a biopolitical domain over people, creating subjectivities based on individuality and consumerism, capable of feeding the hegemonic capitalist system itself and decreasing the cooperative forms of living and working. In this scenery, through technology, material work seems to become even more immaterial, based on information sharing at network models. From this new arrangement and way of reflecting about working emerges multitude, a move of movements in which singularities act cooperatively, sharing knowledge and warmth to reconstruct society, replacing competition with the cooperation ethical principle, creating new ways of life and filling in spaces emptied by individualism culture and competition with meanings. Multitude ethical acting seeks for constructing the common, i. e., sharing by the equal and fairest way what all produce. In a philosophical line formed by Maquiavel, Espinosa and Marx, Negri and Hardt find basis to think about the being from its immanence and political historical reality, open and in a continual construction, and, thus, free from dogmatisms and transcendentalisms. An always open being with power to act in face of anything that might restrain preserving its existence. Finally, it's tried, thus, to show how, for Negri and Herdt, the cooperation ethical principle, which sets the multitude acting, comprehends a being with subjectivity free from any determination and capable of creating a fairer and more supportive society.

La thèse interroge le sens du travail, des origines de son institution dans la pensée politique moderne aux plus récentes transformations qui marquent le passage aux économies post-fordistes. La principale caractéristique que présentent ces dernières tient à leur intégration, au sein de la sphère productive, de toutes les activités de nature informationnelle, communicationnelle et affective, qui, traditionnellement, lui étaient demeurées extérieure. Cette opération est analysée grâce aux concepts de travail immatériel et de production biopolitique développés par les penseurs associés au mouvement opéraïste. Afin de sonder les conséquences de cette fusion de la production matérielle, éthique et juridique, la thèse sollicite l’éclairage de l’analyse marxienne de la valeur, qu’elle fait ensuite résonner avec la pensée de la technique que propose Heidegger, dans l’optique d’un dépassement de la métaphysique moderne du sujet, où, selon un diagnostic commun aux auteurs, se situe l’origine d’un asservissement du tout de la vie à un régime de production dévastateur – le nihilisme, ou la ruine de toutes les valeurs. S’appuyant sur une lecture contemporaine de Spinoza, notamment par Negri, cette critique de la métaphysique se révèle le geste initiateur d’un procès constitutif proprement politique. Enracinant plutôt le fondement de l’activité dans une ontologie de la finitude essentielle élaborée à la faveur d’une phénoménologie de la praxis collective, la thèse parcourt le chemin qui mène de l’explicitation du sens du travail comme usure du monde dans son ensemble, à l’anamnèse d’un usage intégral de la puissance productive, qui permet, dans les conditions actuelles de la production biopolitique, de déployer une imagination constitutive pour laquelle la notion d’utilité, au sens métaphysique, fournit un principe d’évaluation. Il s’agit d’apprécier, parmi les dynamiques tendancielles inhérentes aux formes de vie et de subjectivité engendrées dans la mobilisation incessante et irréversible qui nous affecte, l’imminence d’une réalisation du communisme dans la transvaluation de l’industrie en désœuvrement.

La phosphoprotéine P du virus de la Rage est une protéine multifonctionnelle qui sert de cofacteur pour la polymérase virale L et de chaperon pour la nucléoprotéine N, et qui est également à l'origine, avec la N, de la formation d'inclusions cytoplasmiques spécifiques de l'infection rabique : les corps de Negri. La P interagit également avec des protéines cellulaires comme PML (Promyelocytic Leukaemia) et STAT1 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription), toutes deux impliquées dans la réponse aux interférons. La caractérisation de l'interaction de P avec STAT1, initialement identifiée par un crible double-hybride, a montré que la partie carboxyterminale de P interagit avec la région de STAT1 comprenant le coiled-coil et le domaine de liaison à l'ADN. Cette interaction a ensuite été confirmée par expérience de pull down. L'étude de la fonction de cette interaction a démontré que celle-ci est capable d'inhiber les réponses cellulaires aux interférons de type I et II, médiées par STAT1, afin de contrecarrer les effets antiviraux de ces interférons. Nous avons recherché les mécanismes de cette inhibition, et nous avons pu montrer que la P rabique, en général cytoplasmique, était capable d'inhiber l'accumulation nucléaire de STAT1 en réponse aux interférons, mais que cette inhibition n'était pas absolument indispensable pour inhiber la réponse aux interférons puisque les formes nucléaires de P, en particulier son sous-produit P3, étaient également capables d'inhiber cette réponse sans avoir d'effet sur l'accumulation nucléaire de STAT1. Des études plus poussées ont montré que P et P3 sont tous deux capables d'inhiber la liaison de STAT1 à l'ADN, ce qui explique ce phénomène. La protéine P pourrait donc utiliser deux mécanismes pour inhiber plus efficacement la réponse cellulaire aux interférons. La fonction des corps de Negri, dont les protéines P et N sont les composants majeurs, était jusqu'à présent inconnue, c'est pourquoi nous avons réalisé une analyse protéomique afin d'identifier d'autres protéines qui pourraient y être associées. Parmi elles se trouvent beaucoup de protéines impliquées dans la traduction, qui nous ont orientés vers l'hypothèse que les corps de Negri seraient des usines virales. Un autre partenaire de ces corps, qui a été confirmé, est la protéine de choc thermique HSP70. Nous avons montré que l'expression de celle-ci est induite lors de l'infection rabique, et qu'elle y jouerait un rôle proviral. Cependant, les mécanismes de son action provirale ne sont pour l'instant pas connus, ni leur lien avec sa localisation au niveau des corps de Negri Rabies virus phosphoprotein P is a multifunctional protein. P is the cofactor of rabies polymerase L and also acts as a chaperon protein for the nucleoprotein N. P and N together induce cytoplasmic inclusion bodies formation. These structures are named Negri bodies and are specific of Rabies infection. Moreover P interacts also with cellular partners: PML (Promyelocytic Leukaemia) protein and STAT1 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription), that are both implicated in IFN response. We have characterized the interaction between P and STAT1, and the results have shown that C-terminal part of P interacts with the coiled-coil and the DNA binding domain of STAT1. Then this interaction has been confïrmed by pull down experiments. By studying the function of this interaction we have shown that it inhibits cellular response to type I and type II interferon, and then it inhibits also antiviral effects of these interferons. Then we have investigated the mechanisms of this inhibition, and we have shown that cytoplasmic P protein inhibits nuclear accumulation of STAT1 in response to interferons. Yet this mechanism does not seem to be absolutely necessary to inhibit interferon response, since nuclear forms of P, especially the short product P3, inhibit interferon response without inhibiting nuclear accumulation of STAT1. Therefore, we have searched another inhibition mechanism in order to explain this fact, and we have found that P and P3 are able to inhibit DNA binding of STAT1 in response to interferon. These results demonstrate that P protein could use two different mechanisms in order to inhibit more effïciently cellular interferon response. P and N are the major components of Negri bodies whose function is still unknown until now. Then we have achieved a proteomic analysis in order to identify other viral and cellular components of these bodies. We have found several cellular proteins involved in translation, suggesting that Negri bodies could be viral factories. Another cellular partner of Negri bodies is the heat shock protein HSP70. We have shown that HSP70 cellular expression is induced during rabies infection, and that this protein has a proviral function for rabies virus. The mechanisms of this function are still unknown, and we are investigating whether HSP70 localization in Negri bodies is necessary for these mechanisms

This study intends to investigate British artist Anish Kapoor’s stylistic formation in relationship to globalization, positing its history as a multiplicity, comprised of several competing localisms, including: minimalism; the traditions of modern painting; and the artist’s own personal diasporic narrative. It will demonstrate how Kapoor is a transgressive global artist, concerned not only with rethinking the longstanding question of artistic form, but also with the enduring process central to the cultural formation of subjects. Overall, this thesis will propose that Kapoor’s art in particular can be comprehended by the special liminal position it occupies between such polarities as modern and postmodern art, painting and sculpture, East and West, national and trans-national, and local and global. By transgressing the borders that demarcate these discourses, Kapoor’s art enters an in-between state; through both formal and thematic strategies, his sculptural forms orchestrate viewers so they are able to move beyond distinct, fixed, and stabile meanings and view the works as eminently open to the different perspectives and radically diverse discourses they engage, making them truly global works of art.

PONTIFÍCIA UNIVERSIDADE CATÓLICA DO RIO DE JANEIRO CONSELHO NACIONAL DE DESENVOLVIMENTO CIENTÍFICO E TECNOLÓGICO Esta tese tem como objetivo central a realização de um confronto entre as abordagens de duas linhas de pensamento sobre a questão política. A primeira é aquela que vai da filosofia da diferença construída por Gilles Deleuze até a teoria política de Antonio Negri, a segunda, da psicanálise de Jacques Lacan até a filosofia de Slavoj Zizek. Trata-se, em um primeiro momento, de desenvolver o tema da política conforme este aparece nas obras de Lacan e Deleuze. Em Deleuze, buscaremos traçar os contornos fundamentais da filosofia da diferença elaborada pelo autor. Em seguida, analisaremos a proposição de uma nova teoria política que é empreendida pelo autor nos anos 70 junto a Félix Guattari. No caso de Lacan, nosso foco será nas consequências política do movimento em que o psicanalista se afasta, a partir dos anos 60, do paradigma estruturalista e simbólico que havia constituído a base de sua teoria nos anos 50. Buscaremos investigar, em Antonio Negri e Slavoj Zizek, dois dos mais importantes filósofos que, atualmente, se encarregam de continuar a linha de pensamento inaugurada por Deleuze, no caso de Negri, e por Lacan, no de Zizek. Our main goal in this thesis is to study the political implications of two lines of thought and they differences. The first is the one that goes, thought the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze to the works of Toni Negri, and the second, thought the psychoanalysis of Jacques Lacan to the philosophy of Slavoj Zizek. In Deleuze, we seek to trace the contours of the philosophy of difference created by the author. Our next move is to analyze the proposition of a new political theory that was undertaken by the author in the 70s along with Félix Guattari. In the case of Lacan, our focus will be on political consequences of the movement in which the psychoanalyst, in the 60s, moves away from the symbolic and structuralist paradigm that had formed the basis of his theory in the 50s. And in Antonio Negri and Slavoj Zizek we find two of the most important philosophers who are currently responsible for continuing the line of thought that was inaugurated by Deleuze, in the case of Negri, and Lacan, in the case of Zizek.

We focused the study of age relations in a social context where conflicts of values among different ages are held in the negotiation of cultural models and life styles. Thus, the study of the academic discourse undertaken by this research didn t intend to develop internal critique about its scientific validation but instead, it intended to interpret the ways such a discourse embodies to its shape the dominant values representations about age relations. In order to do so, we analysed the academic articles published in Brazilian scientific periodicals from 1990 to 1999. This work focused the examination of contemporary trends as indicated in thematic literature and aimed to reinterpret the interpretations given by the texts about adolescent pregnancy enlightened by the concept of ideology as proposed by Thompson. In the methodological sphere we searched for integrating the techniques given by Content Analysis as presented by Bardin and undertaken by Rosemberg, to the theoretical-methodological reference given by Depth Hermeneutics as developed by Thompson. We observed the Health Sciences disciplinary field as the main context for the production and circulation of discourses about pregnancy among adolescents. We confirmed the trend of their comprehension in the sphere of a social problem as previously pointed out by critical literature on pregnancy during adolescence. As one of the linguistic resources for the expression of this problem we identified the statement of negative consequences to the young girls related to the spheres of health, psycho-emotional life and social-economical disadvantages. We corroborated the notion of transition as a dominant conception about adolescence. The use of this notion usually engaged an individual sphere which involves several fields of life (psychic, biological, sexual and social), and a social sphere, regarded to the transformations in the cultural models for adolescence which embody sexual behaviour and values related to the morality and sexual-emotional life. In the articles analysed we also observed a close relation established between the occurring of pregnancy and the transformations in the cultural models for adolescent s sexual behaviour and morality Este trabalho integra à produção do Núcleo de Estudos de Gênero, Raça e Idade NEGRI PUC/SP o estudo do discurso acadêmico sobre a gravidez entre adolescentes e soma-se ao esforço dos integrantes do NEGRI de estudar a construção social da infância e da adolescência no Brasil. Enfocou-se o estudo das relações de idade, num contexto social, no qual se desenrolam conflitos de valores entre os diferentes grupos etários na negociação de modelos culturais e de estilos de vida. Nesse sentido, o estudo do discurso acadêmico empreendido nesta pesquisa não procurou desenvolver a crítica interna com vistas à identificação de seu caráter de cientificidade, mas se propôs a interpretar as formas como esse discurso incorpora à sua conformação representações valorativas dominantes sobre as relações de idade. Com esse propósito foram analisados artigos acadêmicos publicados em periódicos científicos brasileiros, entre 1990 e 1999. O trabalho focalizou o exame das tendências contemporâneas sugeridas pela literatura que aborda o tema e objetivou reinterpretar as interpretações que os textos oferecem sobre a gravidez adolescente, à luz do conceito de ideologia proposto por Thompson. No plano metodológico, buscou-se integrar as técnicas da Análise de Conteúdo, apresentadas por Bardin e empregadas por Rosemberg, ao referencial teórico-metodológico da Hermenêutica de Profundidade desenvolvido por Thompson. Observou-se, como contexto prioritário de produção e circulação dos discursos sobre a gravidez entre adolescentes, o campo disciplinar das Ciências da Saúde. Confirmou-se a tendência, indicada pela literatura crítica sobre a gravidez na adolescência, de sua compreensão na esfera do problema social. Foi identificado como um dos recursos lingüísticos de expressão desse problema a afirmação de conseqüências negativas às jovens nas esferas da saúde, da vida psico-afetiva e da desvantagem econômica e social. Foi corroborada, como concepção dominante sobre a adolescência, a noção de transição. O uso dessa noção abrangeu, usualmente, um plano individual, que envolve diversas esferas da vida (psíquica, biológica, sexual e social), e um plano social, de transformações nos modelos culturais de adolescência que abarcam, em especial, o comportamento sexual e os valores relativos à moralidade e à vida sexual e afetiva. Sob as influências de uma matriz patriarcal a sociedade brasileira se constituiu em um sistema de relações sociais sexistas, que legitima a superioridade masculina em face da mulher. As heranças do passado escravagistas serviram de base à construção ideológica do racismo á brasileira, que sob o manto de uma falsa democracia racial, cria padrões de valores culturais no quais a raça negra é inferiorizada e estigmatizada. Na interseccionalidade entre as opressões de gênero e raça a mulher negra é duplamente vitimizada, tendo os seus direitos violados pelas opressões racistas e sexistas através de injustiças de natureza cultural e econômica que lhe excluem a dignidade e a cidadania. Essas injustiças causam tensões e conflitos sociais e impulsionam a ação política coletiva na luta por reconhecimento e redistribuição. A presente dissertação tem como problema a análise acerca da militância do feminismo negro no Brasil visando aferir a dimensão da sua luta por reconhecimento diante das imbricações da natureza econômica e cultural das opressões de gênero e raça. Como hipótese pretende comprovar que a luta por reconhecimento efetivada pelo feminismo negro apresenta a dimensão de luta por dignidade, incorporando as demandas de identidade e de redistribuição, o que se impõe diante da natureza bivalente das opressões perpetradas em face da mulher negra no Brasil. O método utilizado é o dialético e as bases teóricas são Axel Honneth e Nancy Fraser por meio da abordagem de suas teorias acerca do reconhecimento e redistribuição. Apresentam-se como objetivos a análise das ondas do movimento feminista, o racismo à brasileira e o feminismo negro enquanto instrumento de luta e resistência da mulher negra. This dissertation is the problem analysis about the militancy of black feminism in Brazil aiming to measure the size of their struggle for recognition before the overlapping of economic and cultural nature of gender and racial oppressions. As hypothesis intends to prove that the struggle for recognition effected by black feminism has the dimension of dignity by fighting, incorporating the demands of identity and redistribution, which is imposed on the bivalent nature of oppressions perpetrated in the face of black women in Brazil. The method used is the dialectical and theoretical bases are Axel Honneth and Nancy Fraser through the approach of his theories about the recognition and redistribution. They present as objective the analysis of the wave of the feminist movement, the Brazilian racism and black feminism as an instrument of struggle and resistance of the black woman.

Abstract:

This thesis investigates the dimensions of historical, philosophical and political concept of the common, from a problematization influenced by heterodox Marxist studies and the thought of Michel Foucault.The theoretical approach begins with an analysis of the hypothesis of the "tragedy of commons", represented by Garrett Hardin in a famous article in Science Magazine in 1968. The further development seeks to understand such a formulation from the foucauldian analysis on the art of liberal and neoliberal governing, with emphasis on the concept of biopolitical production of subjectivity. This terrain of analysis is supplemented by studies of an economic approach called "bio-economy", which seeks to weave biopolitics with an understanding of current forms of capitalist accumulation and it crisis. From a research which is directed to the terrain defined as "heterodox marxism," on seeks to study the relationship between the common and new forms of primitive accumulation, seeing how the former has increasingly appeard in this branch of critical studies. In this field, on emphasizes the concept of "primitive social and subjectivity accumulation", based on studies of Karl Marx (Grundrisse), Antonio Negri and Jason Read. The last chapter is devoted to the concept of "production of common", taking as its starting point the work of Jean-Luc Nancy, and especially the investigations of Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt. The common appears as a central concept for understanding the biopolitical production of social wealth in contemporary capitalism, and also its expropriation by new modes of accumulation. On the other hand, the common also emerges as antagonism to capital and public-private dichotomy, pointing to new ways of understanding communism. A presente tese investiga as dimensões históricas, filosóficas e políticas do conceito de comum, a partir de uma problematização influenciada pelos estudos marxistas heterodoxos e pelo pensamento de Michel Foucault. O percurso teórico inicia com a análise da hipótese da tragédia do comum, veiculado por Garret Hardin em um famoso artigo na Revista Science, em 1968. O desenvolvimento posterior busca compreender tal formulação a partir das análises foucaultianas sobre a arte de governar liberal e ngeoliberal, com ênfase nos conceitos de biopolítica e produção de subjetividade. Esse campo de análise é preenchido por estudos da corrente denominada bioeconomia, que busca entrelaçar a biopolítica com a compreensão das atuais formas de crise e acumulação capitalistas. A partir de uma pesquisa que se direciona para o campo definido como marxismo heterodoxo, busca-se estudar a relação entre o comum e os novos modos de acumulação primitiva, percebendo como o primeiro conceito passa a ocupar progressivamente essa corrente de estudos críticos. Nesse domínio, enfatiza-se a concepção de acumulação primitiva social e de subjetividade, com base em estudos de Karl Marx (Grundrisse), Antonio Negri e Jason Read. O último capítulo é dedicado ao conceito de produção do comum, tendo como ponto de partida o trabalho de Jean-Luc-Nancy e, principalmente, as investigações de Antonio Negri e Michael Hardt. O comum aparece como conceito central para a compreensão da produção biopolítica da riqueza social no capitalismo contemporâneo, e também sua expropriação por novos modos de acumulação. Por outro lado, o comum também emerge como antagonismo ao capital e à dicotomia público-privado, apontando para novas formas de compreender o comunismo.

Se explora La influencia de estos géneros musicales en tres obras literarias de cada una las siguientes autoras: Toni Morrison, Alice Walker y Gayl Jones. Estos textos literarios, publicados principalmente entre los años setenta y principios de los ochenta del siglo XX, son uma buena muestra de la influencia del legado de las cantantes de blues, de los ritmos sincopados del jazz y de la cultura vernácula de las personas afro-estadounidenses. Las escritoras rompen con la tradición literaria de vincular el blues y el jazz a autores masculinos y protagonizan el renacer literario femenino negro de los años setenta. Esta investigación aúna la crítica feminista negra, los estudios literarios y lãs historias de la música negra, para determinar el papel del blues y el jazz como testimonios de la resistencia ante la desigualdad de raza, clase y género, esta última visibilizada por las cantantes de blues primero y por las autoras objeto de estúdio después. Asimismo, se hace especial énfasis en el trasfondo social de la música que sonaba en el momento histórico en el que las autoras sitúan la trama de los textos.

Dentro desse viés, será possível verificar a experiência de vida social, que vai da família à esfera religiosa. A questão social é vivenciada pelo autor, primeiramente, na família, naquela que se formou como a primeira instituição que fazemos parte. Depois de sofrer com a desintegração do seio familiar, o autor passa a ter um convívio nas ruas que possibilitou a aquisição de muitos “ensinamentos” por parte de indivíduos que, sob um olhar da sociedade, não são benquistos. Contudo, de forma proveitosa, podemos assim dizer pedagógica, o autor, por meio de uma filtragem, após algum tempo vivenciando e observando as atitudes dos mal-intencionados, que, em sua maior parte, eram da mesma faixa etária e daqueles mais velhos, conseguiu absorver ensinamentos. E mesmo sabendo aonde o levaria se continuasse indo “no embalo” dos outros jovens, conseguiu sobreviver nas ruas sem se contaminar e tão pouco se tornar um infrator. O presente trabalho descreve os efeitos, em uma criança, de uma vida em família interrompida precocemente. Vários fatos negativos foram vivenciados e influenciaram na formação deste ser, que ainda não comportava dentro de si conceitos de caráter e de idoneidade.

Abstract:

La transcription et la réplication du virus de la rage sont réalisées par sa polymérase (L), une ARN polymérase ARN dépendante, au sein d’inclusions cellulaires viro-induites : les corps de Negri (CN). Durant les premières étapes de l’infection, on observe un ou deux CNs par cellule (CN primaire) qui grossissent et donnent naissance à plusieurs autres CNs de taille inférieure (CN secondaire). Les CNs concentrent l’ensemble des protéines virales et cellulaires nécessaires à la réplication virale. Bien que certains mécanismes de régulation entre protéines virales impliquées soient décrits, la nature et le rôle des partenaires cellulaires demeurent largement inconnus. Un crible en double hybride en levure d’une banque d’ADNc humain a permis l’identification de partenaires cellulaires de la L rabique, notamment de la protéine hStaufen 1. La cartographie de l’interaction montre que les extrémités Cterminales des deux protéines sont requises. Lors d’une infection par le virus de la rage la protéine hStaufen 1, présente uniformément dans le cytoplasme, est réorganisée en structures granulaires à proximité des CNs autour desquels elle gravite avec des mouvements de rapprochement, d’éloignement et des contacts furtifs. Cette dynamique de la protéine hStaufen 1 pourrait être liée à son rôle intermédiaire entre les CNs et les granules de stress induits par l’infection rabique. La déplétion partielle de hStaufen 1 dans la cellule conduit à l’augmentation intracellulaire des protéines virales, à l’inhibition de la formation des CNs secondaires et à la diminution du bourgeonnement et de la libération des particules virales dans le milieu extracellulaire. Ceci indique que la protéine hStaufen 1 joue un rôle majeur dans le transport intracellulaire microtubule dépendant des ribonucléocapsides néo-synthétisées vers leur site de bourgeonnement. Trois autres partenaires de la protéine L issus du crible en double hybride ont aussi été étudiés : eEF1A1 (eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1) ; hnRNPH2 (Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein) ; TGFβ1I1 (Transforming growth factor beta-1-induced transcript 1 protein). Des résultats préliminaires suggèrent leur implication dans le cycle réplicatif du virus de la rage depuis la régulation de la transcription et de la réplication rabiques au sein des CNs jusqu’au relargage des virions The transcription and replication of the rabies virus are performed by the polymerase (L), an RNA dependant RNA polymerase, in cellular inclusions induced by the virus: the Negri Bodies (NB). During early infection, there is only one or two NB per cell (primary NB), growing with time up to their dispersion in several smaller NB (secondary NB). The NB concentrates all viral and cellular proteins necessary for the viral replication. Although several regulatory mechanisms between involved viral proteins are well described, the nature and role of cellular partners remain largely unknown. A yeast two-hybrid screening of a human cDNA library has identified cellular partners of the rabies L protein, in particular the hStaufen 1 protein. A mapping of the interaction showed that the Cterminal part of both proteins are required. During rabies infection, hStaufen 1, uniformly present in the cytoplasm, is reorganized in granular structures close to the NB, including back and forth movements with furtive contacts. This dynamics of hStaufen 1 is evocative of an intermediate role between NB and stress granules (SG) induced by rabies virus infection. Knock down of hStaufen 1 in the cell leads to increased amounts of intracellular viral proteins, to the inhibition of secondary NB formation and to a decrease of the budding and virion release from cell. This indicates that hStaufen 1 plays a major role in the microtubule-dependent intracellular transport of the newly synthesized ribonucleocapsids up to the site of budding. Three other L protein partners discovered during the two-hybrid screening have also been studied: eEF1A1 (eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1); hnRNPH2 (Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein) ; TGFβ1I1 (Transforming growth factor beta-1-induced transcript 1 protein). Preliminary results suggest that they are somehow involved in the rabies virus replicative cycle, from transcription/replication inside NB to rabies virus release in the external environment

Gli ammassi di galassie sono gli oggetti più massicci dell'universo; si trovano ai nodi della rete cosmica da cui accrescono continuamente materia e altre galassie. Le galassie all'interno degli ammassi sono principalmente ellittiche massicce, con poca formazione stellare in corso. Tra queste, un ruolo rilevante è svolto dalla galassia più luminosa tipicamente situata al centro dell'ammasso (BCG). Nelle BCG, i bassi valori dei tassi di formazione stellare sono correlati all'energia liberata dai nuclei galattici attivi (AGN), come evidenziato dalla frequente presenza di AGN ad alta emissione nelle onde radio. Poiché questo processo è generato dall'accrescimento del gas attorno al buco nero (SMBH) centrale, non è del tutto sorprendente che varie osservazioni abbiano trovato strette correlazioni tra la massa dei SMBH e la massa stellare delle BCG. Due anni fa, sono state trovate altre correlazioni che coinvolgono le masse dei SMBH e le proprietà globali degli ammasi. Motivato da questi lavori osservativi, nella prima parte della mia tesi ho utilizzato una serie di simulazioni cosmologiche per studiare la crescita simbiotica degli ammassi di galassie e dei SMBH al loro centro, con l'obiettivo di indagare le correlazioni tra la massa dei SMBH e la massa degli ammassi che li ospitano. Anche se il feedback degli AGN è fondamentale nella regolazione della formazione stellare negli ammassi di galassie a basso redsfhit, quando inizia ad essere efficace gli ammassi di galassie sono già popolati dalle galassie più massicce dell'universo. Data la loro grande massa e la loro bassa velocità di formazione stellare, si pensa che la maggior parte delle stelle siano prodotte ad alto redshift durante una breve ed intensa fase di formazione stellare. Questo punto di vista ha numerose prove indirette, sia teoriche che osservative. Per esempio, l'analisi astroarcheologica di enormi ellittiche mostra una proporzionalità diretta tra la massa di una galassia e la sua età. Inoltre, simulazioni cosmologiche e modelli semi-analitici prevedono che la maggior parte delle stelle all'interno delle BCG (> 50%) siano già formate a z ~ 3 durante la fase di protoammasso, e vengono successivamente assemblate attraverso fusioni di galassie. Tuttavia, è ancora difficile tracciare un quadro completo dell'evoluzione degli ammassi di galassie utilizzando i dati disponibili. Infatti, anche se il numero di protocluster rilevati è in rapido aumento, il campione risultante è ancora abbastanza eterogeneo essendo basato su diversi metodi di rilevamento, ciascuno con i propri limiti e bias. In questo contesto, le simulazioni cosmologiche rappresentano lo strumento più avanzato per fornire un quadro interpretativo coerente di tutte queste osservazioni su proto-ammassi. Tuttavia, prima di ottenere un'interpretazione significativa dei dati osservativi sull'evoluzione degli ammassi, è importante studiare se i modelli teorici riproducono le osservazioni disponibili ad alto z. Pertanto, nella seconda parte del mio progetto di dottorato ho studiato il tasso di formazione stellare all'interno di ammassi di galassie e protoammassi a 0<z<4. Questa analisi suggerisce fortemente che simulazioni cosmologiche allo stato dell'arte hanno difficoltà a riprodurre i tassi di formazione stellare molto elevati misurati nelle recenti osservazioni. Per comprendere meglio le ragioni fisiche della differenza tra teoria e osservazioni, ho anche studiato le proprietà della galassia nell'ambiente di protoammasso con un approccio più statistico, studiando le correlazioni e le distribuzioni delle proprietà delle galassie. Questa analisi evidenzia la necessità di una migliore comprensione e modellizzazione dei processi fisici coinvolti nella formazione stellare, necessaria per raggiungere un accordo con le osservazioni disponibili ad alto redshift. Galaxy clusters are the most massive objects in the universe; they are located at the nodes of the cosmic web from which they continuously accrete matter and other galaxies. The galaxies within clusters are mainly red massive ellipticals or bulge dominated, with little ongoing star formation. Among them, a relevant role is played by the brightest cluster galaxy (BCG), the most luminous and massive cluster galaxy typically located at the cluster center. In the BCGs, the low values of star formation rates are related to a hampering of the cooling rate by the feedback from the active galactic nuclei (AGN), as highlighted by the frequent presence of radio-loud AGNs. Since this feedback is generated by the gas accretion around the central SMBH, it is not completely surprising that observational works found tight correlations between SMBH mass and BCG stellar mass and stellar velocity dispersion. Two years ago, other correlations involving SMBHs masses and global cluster properties (like cluster mass and temperature) was found. Motivated by these observational works, in the first part of my thesis I used a set of cosmological simulations to study the symbiotic growth of galaxy clusters and the SMBHs at their center, with the aim of investigating the correlations between SMBH mass and cluster mass and temperature, their establishment and evolution. Moreover, I studied how gas accretion and BH-BH mergers contribute to SMBH growth across cosmic time. Even though AGN feedback is fundamental in regulating the star formation in low-redshift galaxy clusters, by the time it starts to be effective galaxy clusters are already populated by the most massive galaxies in the universe. Given their large mass and their low star formation rates, it is thought that most of the stars are produced at high redshift during a brief and intense burst of star formation. This view has numerous indirect pieces of evidence, both observational and theoretical. For example, astroarchaeology analysis of massive ellipticals shows a direct proportionality between the mass of a galaxy and its age. Moreover, numerical simulations and semi-analytical models predict that most of the stars within the BCGs (> 50%) are already formed by z~3 during the proto-cluster stage, i.e. the infancy stage of clusters of galaxies, and are later assembled through galaxy mergers. However, it is still difficult to draw a complete picture of galaxy cluster evolution using available data. Indeed, even though the number of detected protoclusters is rapidly increasing, the resulting sample is still fairly heterogenous being based on different detection methods, each having its own limitations and bias. In this context, cosmological hydrodynamical simulations represent the most advanced tool to provide a coherent interpretative framework of all such observations on proto-clusters. However, before obtaining a meaningful interpretation of observational data on cluster evolution, it is important to study whether theoretical models match the already available high redshift observational constraints. Therefore, in the second part of my PhD project I studied the star formation rate within galaxy clusters and proto-clusters over the redshift range 0<z<4. This analysis strongly suggests that state-of-the-art cosmological simulations have difficulties in reproducing the very high star formation rates measured from recent observations. To better understand the physical reasons for the difference between theory and observations, I also studied galaxy properties in protocluster environment in a more statistical approach, e.g. studying galaxy properties correlations and distributions. This analysis highlights the need for a better understanding and modeling of the physical processes involved in star formation, needed to reach an agreement with the available observations at high redshift.

Le totalitarisme est l'institution d'une société organique, une et homogène, dans laquelle aucune division sociale, aucun désaccord avec l'idéologie véhiculée par le parti ne sont possibles. La spécificité de la démocratie, a contrario, est de s'enrichir de la désintrication du pouvoir, du droit, et du savoir. Les citoyens, dotés de droits fondamentaux, sont juges de la légitimité du pouvoir établi. Leurs désaccords ainsi que l'antagonisme entre les classes sociales nourrissent l'exercice d'un commun litigieux. De là, une question fondamentale : une telle définition de la démocratie est-elle historiquement datée, ou continue-t-elle d'être pertinente aujourd'hui ? Doit-on encore concevoir la démocratie, pour la rendre authentique, par le conflit civil érigé en principe politique, ou faut-il l'envisager de manière consensualiste au lendemain de son opposition avec le totalitarisme ? Claude Lefort s'inspirait de Machiavel pour dépasser les limites du marxisme et repenser la démocratie par la valorisation du conflit civil, indissociable de la figure de l'imaginaire social. La thèse ici soutenue adopte différemment une perspective néo-machiavélienne. Elle revient à proposer un espace public dissensuel à partir du modèle machiavélien de l'entente dans le conflit, par confrontation avec l'espace public habermassien et d'autres conceptions du tort et du conflit dans les démocraties contemporaines. Comment concevoir aujourd'hui les figures du conflit civil et de l'imaginaire social, en s'inspirant paradoxalement de Machiavel pour interroger la démocratie ?

Abstract:

Representations of female characters in cinema have the effect of othering the female in front of the viewer’s gaze. Women’s characters are constructed along the lines of their gender and race difference. In this paper I focus entirely on the character of the woman domestic worker in four films: Ilo Ilo, The Second Mother, The Maid, and At Home. The paper aims to provide a different reading of this mostly trivialized character and rethink its otherness by pinpointing it in biopolitical labor and homes of biopower, namely of affect and oppression. I am interested in how labor can reconfigure the domestic space to a heterotopia, or what I call a ‘heterooikos’, which is the space occupied by the other. Finally, I will attempt an analysis that reimagines otherness captured by cinema, by locating, in the film text, techniques of resistance as a countersuggestion to techniques of character identification. My aim is to provide a different way to interact with subaltern subjects in film by recognizing otherness as part of an ethical response.

Abstract:

The twenty-first century has seen a resurgence of academic interest in biopolitics: the often oppressive political power over human biology, human bodies and their actions that emerges when political technologies concern themselves with and act upon a population as a species rather than as a group of individuals. The publication of new works by theorists including Michel Foucault, Giorgio Agamben, Roberto Esposito, Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri has furthered academic understanding of biopolitical attempts to ensure an orderly, productive society. Biopolitics bases these attempts upon optimising the majority population’s health and well-being while constructing simultaneously a subrace of unruly, unproductive bodies against which the majority requires securitising. However, despite the still-proliferating and increasingly diverse recent theoretical work on the subject, little material has appeared examining how literature represents biopolitics or how theories of biopolitics may inform literary criticism. This thesis argues for Salman Rushdie’s novels as an exemplary site of fictional engagement with biopower in their portrayal of the increasingly intense and pervasive biopolitical technologies used in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Rushdie has been considered frequently as a novelist who explores political discourses of race and culture. However, analysis of the ways in which he depicts these discourses animating recent biopolitical practices has proven scarcer in Rushdie Studies. This thesis asserts that Rushdie’s novels affirm consistently the desirability of non-racialising polities, but almost always suggest little possibility of constructing such communities. In the process, it will reveal that he represents more numerous and varied forms of racialisation than has been supposed previously. This study considers how Rushdie describes biopolitical racialisation by state and superrace alike, the massacres of subraces that often ensue, how biopower operates and is resisted in space, and the discursive and practical forms this resistance takes. Contrasting Rushdie’s early fiction with his less-studied more recent works, this analysis deploys, critiques and augments canonical theories of biopower in order to chart his generally growing disinclination to depict this resistance’s potential success. This study thus works towards a new biopolitical literary criticism which argues that although the theories of Foucault and others illuminate the ways in which literature represents power and resistance in contemporary politics, narrative fiction indicates simultaneously the limitations of these theories and the practices of resistance they advocate.

Araújo. 2015.pdf: 1538530 bytes, checksum: 01c71cad9679c3ccdf09076f001bf59e (MD5) O Movimento Negro, através de um conjunto heterogêneo e diversificado de organizações, vem desenvolvendo, desde meados dos anos 80, uma atuação organizada no campo da saúde, tendo como ponto auge deste processo a aprovação da Política Nacional Integral de Saúde da População Negra e a inserção de um capítulo de saúde na lei do Estatuto da Igualdade Racial. Esta trajetória é permeada pela influência dos debates sobre uma concepção ampliada de saúde, a partir da emergência do Movimento de Reforma Sanitária, o qual vem propondo mudanças na política e na organização do sistema de saúde, nas práticas e nos modos de vida da população. Neste sentido, o objetivo desta tese é compreender como o Movimento Negro vem se organizando, desenvolvendo suas ações em torno do tema da Saúde da População Negra e se posicionando com relação ao processo de formulação e implementação da Política de Saúde da População Negra nos últimos 10 anos. Para tanto foram realizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas com lideranças destas organizações, complementadas com informações extraídas de documentos e textos consultados em sítios oficiais das entidades na internet. Os resultados demonstram que as concepções e práticas de saúde que embasam as organizações do Movimento reproduzem em boa medida o senso comum em relação à noção de saúde, cuja demanda principal diz respeito à ampliação do acesso aos serviços públicos de saúde, ainda desenvolvem práticas assistencialista no âmbito das comunidades em que atuam, e uma ação fiscalizadora no âmbito dos espaços institucionais de participação e controle social nos quais têm assento. No que diz respeito às relações entre as organizações do Movimento Negro e o Estado são caracterizadas por contradições, na medida que ao mesmo tempo em que reconhecem avanços na forma como o Estado brasileiro tem tratado a temática racial no geral, consideram haver um expressivo atraso da gestão quando se trata das políticas e programas voltados para o enfrentamento dos problemas vinculados à questão racial no setor saúde. Desse modo, as organizações do Movimento Negro que estão na base da formulação das Políticas de Saúde voltadas para a população negra, bem como na atuação no campo da saúde na sociedade civil, desempenham um relevante papel protagonista nesse processo. Porém ainda partem das demandas vivenciadas por este setor populacional, no que diz respeito ao acesso aos serviços de saúde, reproduzindo ainda uma visão setorial sobre a questão, mesmo que no marco da defesa do SUS e da transversalização da sua pauta nos diversos serviços e âmbitos do Sistema.

In order to do so, we have a discussion centered on racist violence and the ideology of whiteness, discussing both its elementary bases and those of diffusion in Brazilian culture - based on the pioneering research of Neuza Souza Santos. The elaboration of violence as an ideology appears to us through contours that impose an Ideal of Ego on black people affecting its psyche, as well as - not less - its social status, assigned to a place of subalternity in subjective and objective dimensions. For an analysis of this context and its complexity, we look at the discourse of coloniality that reverberates in today's structures by continuing the notion of the black body as devoid of full humanity. The phenomenon of naturalization of socio-cultural aspects and its reverse, the socio-cultural formulation of natural aspects proliferate this notion that the black body should occupy the place of service, whipping and hypersexualization. Thus, it was in this research to approach the black body in its natural and symbolic nuances and its interface with Brazilian history and its relation and way of conceiving this body. Within this natural and symbolic sphere, based on the principles of Research-Action and Ethnography, we enter into the universe of the self-organized group of black women Cabelaço-PE, and in its agenda of the year 2015; we draw from their actions an inventory of pedagogical practices for the deconstruction of racism and sexism in Brazilian society. We use intersectional feminism, coined by black American black intellectuals, as epistemology to understand the social stratification sustained by processes of racialization and objectification of the black woman's body. Uses and senses given to hair appear as central focus for analysis, bringing together references from black intellectuals such as Bell Hooks, Alice Walker, Kathleen Cleaver. The body as a revolutionary unit to the detriment of the reality conserved by racism and that originates in the transmigration of black bodies from Africa to Brazil, has the essential basis of the thoughts and research of the historian Beatriz Nascimento, in which she elaborates on the Orí head, nucleus) and the symbolism and historical reverberation of the initiation and progressive adaptation and historical construction of the black people in Brazilian lands. They are the quilombos old and new in geographical territory and in physical body, overflowing from the experience of the black body, that, being subjected to the severe attacks of racism, is resisting and shaping reality according to its truth and worldview inevitably correlata to the experiences brought from Africa. We approach the experiences of the collective Cabelaço-PE, where the principles of black ancestry (the use of turbans), the re-counting of stories with the protagonism of black women (the Abayomis dolls and the transatlantic culture), and the re-signification of the black body (self-reflection as a feminist training methodology). O presente trabalho busca explorar a potência de práticas pedagógicas utilizadas pelo movimento de mulheres negras em Pernambuco. Para tanto, travamos uma discussão centrada na violência racista e na ideologia de branquitude, discutindo tanto as suas bases elementares quanto as de difusão na cultura brasileira – embasada pela pesquisa pioneira de Neuza Souza Santos. A elaboração da violência como ideologia nos aparece através de contornos que impõem um Ideal de Ego às pessoas negras afetando sua psiqué, bem como - e não menos - o seu status social, designado a um lugar de subalternidade em dimensões subjetivas e objetivas. Para análise de tal contexto e sua complexidade, olhamos para o discurso da colonialidade que reverbera nas estruturas atuais continuando a noção do corpo negro como destituído de humanidade plena. O fenômeno de naturalização de aspectos sócio-culturais e o seu reverso, a formulação sócio-cultural de aspectos naturais proliferam esta noção de que o corpo negro deve ocupar o lugar do serviço, do açoite e da hiperssexualização. Sendo assim, coube nesta pesquisa abordar o corpo negro em suas nuances naturais e simbólicas e sua interface com a história brasileira e sua relação e forma de conceber este corpo. Dentro dessa esfera natural e simbólica, com base nos princípios da Pesquisa-Ação e da Etnografia, adentramos no universo do coletivo auto-organizado de mulheres negras Cabelaço-PE, e em sua agenda do ano de 2015; elaboramos a partir de suas ações um inventário sobre práticas pedagógicas para a desconstrução do racismo e do sexismo vigentes na sociedade brasileira. Valemo-nos do feminismo interseccional, cunhado pelas intelectuais negras afro-americanas, como epistemologia para compreender a estratificação social sustentada por processos de racialização e objetificação do corpo da mulher negra. Os usos e sentidos dados ao cabelo aparecem como foco central para análise, reunindo referências de intelectuais negras, tais como Bell Hooks, Alice Walker, Kathleen Cleaver. O corpo como unidade revolucionária em detrimento da realidade conservada pelo racismo e que tem origem na transmigração de corpos negros da África para o Brasil, conta com a base essencial dos pensamentos e pesquisa da historiadora Beatriz Nascimento, na qual a mesma elabora sobre o Orí (cabeça, núcleo) e a simbologia e reverberação histórica da iniciação e progressiva adaptação e construção histórica do povo negro em terras brasileiras. São os quilombos velhos e novos em território geográfico e em corpo físico, transbordando a partir da experiência do corpo negro, que ao estar submetido às severas investidas do racismo, vai resistindo e moldando a realidade de acordo com sua verdade e cosmovisão inevitavelmente correlata às experiências trazidas da África para cá. Abordamos as vivências do coletivo Cabelaço-PE, aonde foram trabalhados princípios de ancestralidade negra (o uso de turbantes), da re-contação de histórias com o protagonismo de mulheres negras (as bonecas Abayomis e a cultura transatlântica) e de ressignificação do corpo negro (auto-reflexão como metodologia de formação feminista).

Programa AlÃan de bolsas de estudo de alto nÃvel destinado Ã AmÃrica Latina This dissertation analyzes the formation of black identity of the girls and boys in the Street Basketball on the street where CUFA-Ce is placed. Aimed to identify the discourses and conceptions of the students against the black identity and contribute to studies on ethno-racial identity and black non-formal space. The research used as instruments of data collection observation and semi-structured interviews. The research subjects were students , leaders and coordinators at CUFA-Ce. The fieldwork was conducted in two bases CUFA-Ce, a neighborhood in the Barroso District in Fortaleza and another in the city of Sobral. Content analysis was used for the interpretation of the interviewees' statements collected in the field research. For the results, noting that at CUFA it's not identified as a black movement but , as black in motion, so there is a connection with thegovernmental instances ,private and civil society characteristic of the New Social Movements. Regarding the "Is street basketball a black's thing?" Stands out as one of the channels for the formation and affirmation of identity as being black, however, assume a configuration despite limited regarding after-school street basketball bases surveyed which mainly point is the visibility of black youth through LIIBRA helping to raise their self-esteem. In the category 'identities by others and by themselves "can infer the first black identity the students those formed from the gaze of the other. Secondly, the absence - in the classes of street basketball - a pedagogical intervention with racial, however, does not stimulate the debate on ethnic-racial issue and the construction of black identity in the bases studied in CUFA-Ce. Esta dissertaÃÃo procurou analisar a constituiÃÃo da identidade negra das/os alunas/os no basquete de rua da Central Ãnica das Favelas (CUFA-CE). Teve como objetivos identificar os discursos e concepÃÃes das/os alunas/os em relaÃÃo Ã identidade negra, bem como contribuir para com os estudos sobre as relaÃÃes Ãtnico-raciais e a identidade negra em espaÃos nÃo formais. A pesquisa se delineou nos pressupostos do estudo de caso e utilizou como instrumentos de coleta de dados as observaÃÃes e as entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram alunas/os, lideranÃas e coordenadores da CUFA-CE. O trabalho de campo foi realizado em duas bases da CUFA-CE: uma no bairro do Barroso, em Fortaleza, e outra na cidade de Sobral. A anÃlise de conteÃdo foi utilizada para a interpretaÃÃo das falas dos entrevistados recolhidas na pesquisa de campo. A definiÃÃo de categorias nÃo se deu a priori, mas emergiram da âfalaâ, do conteÃdo das respostas, do discurso, e se constituiu em trÃs categorias, que foram: ânegros em movimentoâ; âbasquete de rua: lugar de negro?â; âidentidades: pelos outros e por eles mesmosâ. Pelos resultados, pÃde-se notar que, na primeira categoria, a CUFA nÃo se identifica enquanto movimento negro, mas como negro em movimento. Sendo assim, hÃ uma articulaÃÃo com as instÃncias governamentais, privadas e com a sociedade civil, caracterÃstica dos Novos Movimentos Sociais. JÃ em relaÃÃo Ã segunda categoria â âbasquete de rua: lugar de negro?â â, destaca-se como um dos canais para formaÃÃo e afirmaÃÃo da identidade enquanto ser negro. No entanto, apesar de assumirem uma configuraÃÃo limitada, no tocante Ãs escolinhas de basquete de rua nas bases pesquisadas, apontam, principalmente, Ã visibilidade da juventude negra por meio da Liga Internacional de Basquete de Rua (LIIBRA), contribuindo para elevaÃÃo da sua autoestima. Na terceira e Ãltima categoria â âidentidades: pelos outros e por eles mesmosâ â, pÃde-se inferir, primeiro, a identidade negra das/os alunas/os formada a partir do olhar do outro. Em segundo lugar, a ausÃncia â nas aulas de basquete de rua â de uma intervenÃÃo pedagÃgica com recorte racial nÃo estimula o debate da questÃo Ãtnico-racial e deixa de contribuir para a construÃÃo da identidade negra afirmativa nas bases estudadas na CUFA-CE.

Explora, ainda, como o discurso feminista é recriado a partir de demandas específicas das mulheres negras. O argumento central está na afirmativa de que as ativistas negras, no Brasil, elaboraram um pensamento feminista próprio à luz de saberes, práticas e experiências históricas de resistência das mulheres negras. Um pensamento feminista crítico alimentado por valores, princípios e cosmovisão organizados a partir de referenciais negro-africanos, que defende a pluralidade epistemológica para revelar a contribuição das mulheres negras em diversas áreas do conhecimento. Um pensamento feminista negro que sustenta uma teoria e uma práxis, visando não só transformar efetivamente a vida das mulheres, mas a própria sociedade, na medida em que se assenta no enfrentamento de estruturas de poder: racismo, sexismo, divisão de classes e heterossexismo. Um pensamento que visa a descolonização do conhecimento, isto é, aposta no desprendimento epistêmico do conhecimento europeu para pensar a própria história a partir de categorias baseadas em nossas experiências de mulheres negras na diáspora. Adoto na tese como lente para ler a realidade sobre a qual as ativistas se voltam, a perspectiva interseccional, lente usada também pelos movimentos de mulheres negras brasileiras para empreender suas ações de intervenção política. A categoria se mostra útil para o reconhecimento do modo como diferentes eixos de opressão se configuram, produzindo desigualdades e situações adversas de múltiplas discriminações a grupos específicos de mulheres, como as mulheres negras. Utilizo como orientação teórico-metodológica a História Oral para recuperar e registrar os depoimentos de 22 ativistas integrantes dos movimentos de mulheres negras brasileiras, obtidos por intermédio de entrevistas. Na História Oral opto por entrevistas de história de vida realizadas de forma a revelar a relação entre a história social e trajetória individual de cada depoente e assim entender como construíram suas identidades a partir de referências de gênero, raça/etnia, sexualidade, religião, entre outros, tendo por cenário os acontecimentos da sociedade brasileira.
