Abstract:
Abstract This cross-cultural study compared attitudes towards age and generational groups across the life span in China, Germany, and the US including N = 1302 participants between 18 and 86 years of age. We asked younger, middle-aged, and older respondents to rate either age (e.g., adolescents, young adults, middle-aged adults, and older, adults) or generational groups (e.g., Millennials, Generation X, Baby Boomer, and Silent Generation) on various characteristics. Results demonstrate that across all three cultures older age groups were perceived consistently less positive and more negative, whereas older generations were perceived as significantly more positive and less negative. Our results suggest that generations in contrast to age groups represent a source of high social status in later life providing a sense of respect, value, and admiration. Thus, social status can be derived from multiple sources and older adults can draw upon alternative social status domains (their generation) when confronted with loss.

Abstract:
This research aims to explore the signs that represent the millennial generation cross culture in the film My Generation (2017) by Upi Avianto. This film, shows the dynamics of life for generations of millennials in the era of technological development. Unlike teen films in general, this film dares to portray the reality of a teenager's life from the results of two years of director research through social media. So that the film portrays the cross-culture of the millennial generation with what is positive and negative. With Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis method and qualitative descriptive approach and constructivist paradigm. The theory used by researchers is the Representation theory of Stuart Hall. From this research shows the millennial cross culture is represented by various scenes that describe habits and characters that are different from the previous generation. Millennial generation's cross culture is shown in differences in social norms which do not care about politeness values, millennial generation stereotypes, differences in life perspectives that tend to be free or liberal, broader, open and courageous to show differences, and a strong and optimistic mindset.

Abstract:
The study sought to know the perception of employees about generational stereotyping from different generations in a BPO company. The study used qualitative research to investigate participants’ perceptions through their real-life experiences. The data was obtained through guided questions and interviews consisting of employees from each generation: Baby Boomer, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z. Some of the participants said that they are uncomfortable and felt awkward interacting with other generations because they share different views on life. The study’s results indicate that the word “stereotyping” refers to the behavior in which a person takes a negative perception and acts on it, whether the person does this on purpose or by accident. According to the results of this study, most of the participants had various understandings of generation stereotypes. The researchers concluded that; (1) stereotypes often occur in older generations. (2) the younger generation tends to avoid asking for help due to the belief that they already know everything. (3) give and take; where seniors shared their experiences while the younger generation shared their technical knowledge. Studies show different perceptions that deal with every generation. As a result, the company performs activities that help employees boost their confidence. Employees of different generations can have better interactions with their co-workers.

Abstract:
Stress generation has potential to account for recurrent suicidal behavior. The current study represents a first step toward evaluating this possibility in a sample of adolescent psychiatric inpatients ( n = 99; 79.80% female) followed over 6 months. At index admission, participants completed baseline measures of depressive symptom severity, suicidal ideation, lifetime history of suicide attempts, and negative life events using a contextual threat life stress interview. Negative life events since baseline were assessed at the follow-up assessment. Consistent with the stress generation hypothesis, lifetime number of suicide attempts prospectively predicted higher rates of dependent but not independent stress. Bayesian analyses also yielded substantial support for an association with overall dependent stress but provided more modest support for specificity to this form of life stress relative to independent stress. Implications of these findings and directions for future research further clarifying the role of stress generation in suicidal behavior are discussed.

Abstract:
Generation z is also known as the gadget generation. This generation lives side by side with the development of gadgets and social media. In this digital age, the use of social media is a way of life. Social media is unavoidable and is expected to have an effect on its users, the general picture of the current literature is missing. Therefore, the aim of this systematic is to summarize research on the impact of social media on fear of being out of date among Generation Z. Our systematic search on the Science and Scopus webs yielded 30 eligible articles. Gen z or generation z born between 1997 and 2003 (what), indicates that they will be between 18 and 24 in 2021. The use of social media and FOMO by generation z can be a negative and positive influence depending on their position and capacity. A negative example is that generation z is always desirable. They are shown that Generation Z is a tech-savvy generation. Based on these systematic results, it shows that the habit of using one of the social media has an impact on the fear of being left behind in generation z. The use of social media cannot be separated from the life of Generation Z. So FOMO is one of the characteristics of generation z that distinguishes it from other generations. Fomo is commonly used in marketing, industry, and lifestyle, where generation z is the main subject.

ABSTRACTDrawing upon evidence from Britain, this paper advances the proposition that new generations of older people are experiencing a healthier, materially better off and more satisfying old age. It is argued that both popular and scientific images of later life are out-dated and unduly negative. In advancing this analysis, attention is given to key areas of personal experience and social life: education, leisure and holidays, retirement, voluntary activity, spirituality, economic status, health and political involvement. A re-construction of the societal position of older people is indicated.

Abstract:
This paper provides to the explanation of Russian peculiarities of excess mortality among young adults. Social and economic crises of the 1990s exerted a negative effect on the demographic processes in Russia of that time. The greatest increase in mortality was observed among young adults. The long-term effects of economic and social changes have also influenced the dynamics of mortality in post-crisis generations. The fact has conditioned the Russian peculiarities of mortality among young adults. The paper presents the results of the study which explains the phenomenon of excess mortality in young adults and shows the Russian peculiarities of mortality. The author identifies the changes in age limits of excess mortality among young adults, connected with the negative dynamics of mortality within the generation of the 1970s compared with neighbouring generations. To confirm the hypothesis that the dynamics of mortality in the generation of the 1970s will be a long-term one the author resorts to APC (Age, Period, Cohort) analysis. The study confirms the high importance of the cohort effect on mortality among the generation of the 1970s. This generation is most vulnerable to mortality and shows lower rates of decline in mortality in recent years as compared to other generations. If the trend of mortality continues, the aging generation of the 1970s will increase the negative impact on further rise in anticipated life expectancy.

Abstract:
Abstract Outside of gerontology, age is an often underappreciated element of diversity. At a time when all generations must work together to provide inclusive, multi-faceted solutions to today’s societal problems, ageist and generational stereotypes are often barriers to meaningful intergenerational exchanges. Age derogation and negative stereotypes have been used to splinter communities, perpetuate misinformation, and trivialize intergenerational conversations. As researchers, educators, and practitioners, we understand why age matters, but our students, community leaders, and employers may not. It is our disciplinary obligation to convince those who ignore, dismiss, or misrepresent age of the importance of this aspect of diversity for navigating any multigenerational setting. In this talk, we provide three approaches to addressing age-related beliefs in the classroom. We begin by exploring the impact of generational stereotypes within minority communities. For the LGBT community, negative stereotypes coupled with rapid social change have lead to a growing generational gap. We then shift perspectives to examine the role that lifespan developmental psychology can play in preparing students to enter a diverse multigenerational workforce. Here, we discuss research on age identity and generational identity as distinct and self-enhancing life-span processes, and highlight the developmental barriers that must be navigated in order to foster intergenerational cohesion. Finally, we discuss the findings from Generation to Generation, an intergenerational discussion course for older and younger adults, designed to promote productive intergenerational contact. The results provide evidence that intergenerational discussion may facilitate improved connections between generations.

Millennial generations are often referred to as agents of change. currently facing challenges from social change brought about by industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 has a negative impact, namely characters that are no longer in accordance with values and norms. The industrial era 4.0 has eroded the values of human life, including the millennial generation. Technology develops independently and is increasingly separate, and leaves religion and social values far behind. Ibn Khaldun's idea of Islamic education can shape humans to have character, so that the millennial generation is able to become humans who have quality, to be able to maintain the life and existence of a highly cultured society in accordance with the flow of the times. The idea of Islamic education that is able to shape the character of the millennial generation are cognitive intelligence. Abstract:
Much work has shown that the environment can induce non-genetic changes in phenotype that span multiple generations. Theory predicts that predictable environmental variation selects for both increased within- and across-generation responses. Yet, to the best of our knowledge, there are no empirical tests of this prediction. We explored the relationship between within- versus across-generation plasticity by evaluating the influence of predator cues on the life-history traits of Daphnia ambigua . We measured the duration of predator-induced transgenerational effects, determined when transgenerational responses are induced, and quantified the cues that activate transgenerational plasticity. We show that predator exposure during embryonic development causes earlier maturation and increased reproductive output. Such effects are detectable two generations removed from predator exposure and are similar in magnitude in response to exposure to cues emitted by injured conspecifics. Moreover, all experimental contexts and traits yielded a negative correlation between within- versus across-generation responses. That is, responses to predator cues within- and across-generations were opposite in sign and magnitude. Although many models address transgenerational plasticity, none of them explain this apparent negative relationship between within- and across-generation plasticities. Our results highlight the need to refine the theory of transgenerational plasticity.

Abstract:
Purpose Boreout is a psychological state of intense boredom and apathy. Characterized by the absence of mental stimuli (i.e. menial tasks) required to keep employees conscious about their environment, and this incessant decline in mental stimuli may turn employees into “professional zombies.” The diversity in work needs and preferences across generations has become a key organizational factor, generational differences have been studied in Western countries, not much information is available about generational cohorts and satisfaction (i.e. career, life and job satisfaction) in developing countries. The purpose of this paper is to provide more insights on these phenomena. Design/methodology/approach Drawing upon conservation of resources theory, this paper examines the potential effects of boreout on important job outcomes (i.e. career, life and job satisfaction) conditioned by generation (Gen-Xers and Gen-Yers) in the service industry. Data analyses with Artificial Intelligence technique (i.e. artificial neural network) and structural equation modeling were conducted with data collated from Nigerian service employees. Findings Results revealed that boreout has a negative impact on career, life and job satisfaction. The hypothesized relationships were significantly moderated by generation cohorts as Gen-Xers and Gen-Yers were found to be distinct cohorts. Originality/value This paper advocates that non-western organizations should avoid utmost service standardization and rigid stylization of work processes and procedures.

The article is devoted to analysing political ideas presented by leaders of Ukrainian communities of the International New Religious Movement “New Generation” related to the aggravation of conflict in the Ukrainian community’s public life within deepening post-secular trends. The negative attitude of a particular part of the Ukrainian student community towards charismatic leaders’ political strategies was identified in the analysis process. It was based on the criticism of personal qualities and manipulating practices employed by the movement leaders. The term “political theology” is used by the Ukrainian “New Generation” charismatic leaders to outline and describe the nature of the movement’s political ideology. It is based on ideas of the “New World Order” by O. Lediaev and some Christian extremism features. Criticizing the “New Generation” leaders’ theocratic ideas, the authors focused on their influence on the formation of strategies for developing Ukrainian communities of new generations. It was noted that most leaders of Ukrainian communities are aware of the utopian and conflict-generating nature of the idea of creating a theocratic state in modern Ukraine.

Abstract:
In decision-making research, one important aspect of real-life decisions has so far been neglected: the mood of the decision maker when generating options. The authors tested the use of the take-the-first (TTF) heuristic and extended the TTF model to understand how mood influences the option-generation process of individuals in two studies, the first using a between-subjects design (30 nonexperts, 30 near-experts, and 30 experts) and the second conceptually replicating the first using a within-subject design (30 nonexperts). Participants took part in an experimental option-generation task, with 31 three-dimensional videos of choices in team handball. Three moods were elicited: positive, neutral, and negative. The findings (a) replicate previous results concerning TTF and (b) show that the option-generation process was associated with the physiological component of mood, supporting the neurovisceral integration model. The extension of TTF to processing emotional factors is an important step forward in explaining fast choices in real-life situations.

Abstract:
This paper considers both LCA and LCC of the pyrolysis of switchgrass to use as an energy source in a conventional power plant. The process consists of cultivation, harvesting, transportation, storage, pyrolysis, transportation, and power generation. Here pyrolysis oil is converted to electric power through cocombustion in conventional fossil fuel power plants. Several scenarios are conducted to determine the effect of selected design variables on the production of pyrolysis oil and type of conventional power plants. The set of design variables consist of land fraction, land shape, the distance needed to transport switchgrass to the pyrolysis plant, the distance needed to transport pyrolysis oil to electric generation plant, and the pyrolysis plant capacity. Using an average agriculture land fraction of the United States at 0.4, the estimated cost of electricity from pyrolysis of 5000 tons of switchgrass is the lowest at $0.12 per kwh. Using natural gas turbine power plant for electricity generation, the price of electricity can go as low as 7.70 cent/kwh. The main advantage in using a pyrolysis plant is the negative GHG emission from the process which can define that the process is environmentally friendly.

Abstract:
AbstractWith increasing life expectancy, changes in family structure and, most recently, the relaxation of the hitherto strict family planning policies, understanding how mid-life individuals support multiple generations, particularly their older parents and younger grandchildren, is of increasing research and policy significance in China. This paper analyses data from the 2011 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) to examine the characteristics of Chinese mid-life individuals aged 45–64 who are potentially being ‘sandwiched’ between providing care to older parents/parents-in-law and/or younger grandchildren (under age 16). Binary logistic and multinomial regression models shed light on the factors associated with providing support to one generation or multiple generations. The results highlight that amongst the Chinese mid-life sandwich generation, 58 per cent only provide care to their young grandchildren, 23 per cent only provide care to their parents/parents-in-law, whilst 15 per cent are simultaneously supporting both generations. Rather than acting as competing demands upon the mid-lifers’ time, the multivariate analysis provides evidence that the provision of intergenerational care is complementary, with caring for grandchildren increasing the probability of also supporting one's parents/parents-in-law, and vice versa. However, an increase in the number of younger grandchildren has a negative impact on the care provided to older parents/parents-in-law, indicating that at higher care intensities there may be competing demands across the generations.

Abstract:
The experience of experiencing a new culture for first-generation migrants is usually quite an intense occurrence, one that has become the subject of numerous studies. However, the question of what happens later, at the level of the second and subsequent generations, is still under-investigated. The purpose of this study was to analyze the predictors of positive and negative affect of the second generation of migrants and representatives of the host (indigenous) population in Kazakhstan and Russia. The study involved 300 people selected on the basis of the principle of proportionality (quota selection). Survey methods and mathematical methods of data processing, including SEM (structural equation modeling), were used. The research model included comparative analysis of averages, regression analysis, and path analysis. The results testified in favor of the similarity of positive and negative affect indicators and their ratios in representatives of the host community and the second generation of migrants. Cultural attitudes of the host community representatives were characterized by higher certainty and rigidity than those of the representatives of the second generation of migrants. As a result of structural modeling, it was found that 20% of the positive affect dispersion in the representatives of the host community and 17% in the representatives of the second generation of migrants were conditioned by values, identity, and cultural attitudes. Positive affect in the representatives of the host community was associated with the values of self-overcoming, ethno-nihilism-based identity, and participation in cultural life of other peoples. Positive affect in representatives of the second generation of migrants was associated with the values of openness, attitude towards changing one’s ethnic identity, positive attitude towards cultural borrowings, and a tendency to observe the traditions of one’s ethnic group. Proposals have been formulated that contribute to reducing the cultural disunity of second-generation migrants and the host population.

GENERATING AN ATTITUDE OF NATIONALISM FOR THE YOUNG GENERATION THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PANCASILA VALUES EDUCATIONThe research aims to arouse an attitude of nationalism in the spirit of youth through the implementation of Pancasila values. As, Pancasila is the basis of the State which should be instilled in the soul of each individual, especially the younger generation. This research was conducted using a qualitative method through a descriptive analytic approach, in which the theory or basis of discussion was taken from the results of literature studies such as books, articles and journals. In this era of globalization, there have been many changes in the tantalizing patterns of human life in the world in terms of technology, communication and dress, so this globalization can have positive and negative impacts. As the nation's successor, we must be able to filter out the negative effects of globalization by implementing or applying Pancasila values, this can be achieved by fostering an attitude of nationalism, one of which is loving domestic products. In Pancasila, there are many noble values that reflect the nation's culture. These values are reflected in each of the precepts in Pancasila. Therefore, through the implementation of Pancasila values, it is hoped that it can become a reference for the younger generation who are the nation's successors who are still guided by Pancasila in life.

Abstract With a large number of wind and solar power sources connected to the power grid, higher requirements are put forward for the power generation equipment to respond to the power grid imbalance. The safety research of generator rotor retaining ring under the impact of negative sequence current is of great significance. For 300MW turbogenerator, the two-dimensional and three-dimensional eddy current, temperature rise, stress and life of generator rotor under the impact of negative sequence current are analyzed and studied. The two-dimensional calculation models of stator and rotor are established, and the distribution of negative sequence eddy current field in rotor section is analyzed; considering the contact resistance between rotor and retaining ring and the end effect of magnetic field, a three-dimensional analysis model is established, and the calculation results of three-dimensional eddy current field, temperature field and stress field are obtained. The analysis shows that after considering the contact resistance between rotor and retaining ring and end effect, the current density at the contact between retaining ring and rotor big tooth edge is 17.6 times of the two-dimensional calculation result of rotor section, and the maximum temperature of rotor retaining ring reaches 170.36°C.

To assess the effect of elevated CO2 on the development, fecundity, and population dynamic parameters of L. erysimi, the age-stage, two-sex life table was used to predict the individual fitness and population parameters of three successive generations of L. erysimi in this study. The results show that a significantly longer total pre-adult stage before oviposition (TPOP) was observed in the third generation compared with the first generation of L. erysimi under the 800 μL/L CO2 treatment. The fecundity is significantly lower in the 800 μL/L CO2 treatment than that in the 400 μL/L CO2 treatment in the third generation of L. erysimi, which indicates that elevated CO2 had a negative effect on the individual fitness parameters of L. erysimi. Additionally, the life expectancy (exj) is significantly lower under the 800 μL/L CO2 treatment than that under the 400 μL/L CO2 treatment in the three successive generations. A significantly higher intrinsic rate of increase (r) and finite rate of increase (λ) were found in the second generation compared with those in the first and third generations of L. erysimi under the 800 μL/L CO2 treatment. Moreover, significantly lower r and λ were observed under the 800 μL/L CO2 treatment compared with those under the 400 μL/L and 600 μL/L CO2 treatments in the first generation of L. erysimi, which indicates that elevated CO2 has a short-term effect on the population parameters (r and λ) of L. erysimi. Our experiment can provide the data for the comprehensive prevention and control of L. erysimi in the future with increasing CO2 levels.

Abstract: Studies of second-generation migrant assimilation have thus far focused on intergenerational mobility. However, career-mobility processes can also contribute to ethnic assimilation over the course of migrants’ careers. This study analyzes second-generation Turkish men’s labor-market and income mobility over the course of their early careers relative to those of autochthonous Germans. The results indicate that second-generation Turkish men experience higher unemployment, lower re-employment, and higher income-mobility risks at the beginning of their careers, all of which is largely caused by their lower host country-specific human capital. Over the course of their early careers, their employment and re-employment opportunities become more similar to those of native-born German men, while their higher upward and downward income mobility risks persist. The cumulative effects of initial disadvantages have negative effects on the development of second-generation Turkish men’s unemployment risks over the course of their early careers.

Abstract:
Papaya mealybug, Paracoccus marginatus Williams and Granara de Willink (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae), is an economically important, invasive insect that is now distributed worldwide. Chlorfenapyr has been demonstrated to have a significant control effect on P. marginatus. In order to evaluate the sublethal and transgenerational effects of chlorfenapyr on P. marginatus, the life table data of three consecutive generations were collected and analyzed by the age stage, two-sex life table method, and the enzyme activities were assayed using a spectrophotometer. The results showed that exposure to the insecticide had significant effects on the biological traits of subsequent generations of P. marginatus, and a higher intrinsic rate of increase (r), finite rate of increase (λ), net reproductive rate (R0), and a shorter mean generation time (T) were observed in the chlorfenapyr-treated F1 mealybugs. Enzyme activity assays showed that chlorfenapyr significantly inhibited the activities of catalase (CAT) and peroxidase (POD) while activating the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), which suggested that SOD, CAT, and POD may play an important role in the self-defense of P. marginatus against chlorfenapyr. These results conclusively demonstrated that exposure of P. marginatus to sublethal concentrations of chlorfenapyr induced hormetic effects on the F1 generation while having negative effects on the F0 and F3 generations.

Abstract:
Bio-ecological parameters of the two-spotted spider mite (TSSM), Tetranychus urticae Koch and its predators depend on the quality of its host plants. In this study, the life table parameters of TSSM and its main predator Phytoseiulus persimilis Athias-Henriot during different generations (1st, 5th, and 10th generations) were determined on the susceptible (‘Beth-Alpha’) and resistant (‘HED’) greenhouse cucumber cultivars. The results indicated that the longest total development time of TSSM was allocated to the first generation on the susceptible cultivar, but there was no significant difference among different generations on the resistant cultivar. The total development time of the 1st and 10th generations of P. persimilis on each of the susceptible and resistant cultivars had not significant difference. Total fecundity of TSSM was higher in the 10th generation on both cultivars tested than that of the former generations. However, the total fecundity of the predator drastically reduced after long-term rearing (10 generations) on both cultivars. The intrinsic rate of increase (r) of the 1st, 5th, and 10th generations of TSSM on the susceptible cultivar was 0.178, 0.238 and 0.319 day-1, respectively, and 0.157, 0.166 and 0.168 day-1 on the resistant cultivar, respectively which indicates the significantly negative effect of the resistant cultivar on this parameter. In P. persimilis, the value of the intrinsic rate of increase in the first and tenth generations on the susceptible cultivar was 0.275 and 0.267 day-1, respectively, and on the resistant cultivar was 0.244 and 0.210 day-1, respectively. By understanding these interactions in the long term, we will be able to develop suitable strategies for biological control of TSSM on cucumber.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: To review the chemistry, microbiology, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic efficacy, adverse effect profile, drug interactions, dosing, and administration of cefepime, a new fourth-generation parenteral cephalosporin. DATA SOURCES: A MEDLINE search of the available literature, including clinical trials and reviews, was performed. Abstracts presented at recent scientific conferences and current publications were also reviewed. DATA SELECTION: In vitro and preclinical data were included, as well as data from Phase II and III clinical trials. DATA SYNTHESIS: Cefepime is an extended-spectrum parenteral cephalosporin antibiotic active in vitro against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic bacteria. The gram-positive spectrum is similar to that of cefotaxime, the gram-negative spectrum is similar to that of ceftazidime, and many, though not all, organisms resistant to these two agents remain susceptible to cefepime, prompting the fourth-generation designation. Cefepime has a high affinity for penicillin-binding proteins and, due to its zwitterionic configuration, rapidly penetrates outer-membrane porin channels of bacteria. Beta-lactamases appear to have a low affinity for the drug. Cefepime has a decreased propensity to induce beta-lactamases compared with other beta-lactam antibiotics. Cefepime has a pharmacokinetic disposition similar to that of other renally eliminated cephalosporins, with a half-life of approximately 2 hours. Cefepime has demonstrated clinical efficacy against a variety of infections, including urinary tract infections, pneumonia, and skin and skin structure infections. Cefepime is generally well tolerated. CONCLUSIONS: Cefepime may have several chemical and pharmacologic advantages over currently available third-generation cephalosporins. In vitro data indicate that cefepime retains activity against some, but not all, gram-negative bacteria resistant to third-generation cephalosporins; however, clinical efficacy against infections due to resistant pathogens remains to be established. Cefepime was at least as effective as comparators during clinical trials, and may prove to be a viable alternative to other currently available agents.

Abstract:
In this article the authors study the impact of a family business transfer on the financial structure and performance based on a sample of 152 small- to medium-sized businesses. The aim is to identify the effects of a succession by relying on panel data gathered over the period 1991 to 2006 resulting in more than 2,000 firm–year observations. The main findings are that a transfer from the first to the second generation negatively influences the debt rate of the company, whereas in successions between later generations this effect is reversed. With respect to firm growth, analyses indicate that in first-generation companies the growth rate decreases after the transition, whereas in next-generation firms no effect on the growth level can be identified. Finally, no evidence is found that a family firm's profitability is affected by succession, which shows that a transfer should not necessarily be seen as a negative event in the life cycle of a family business.

Abstract:
The assessment of long-term negative effects of insecticides on the target and non-target insects can help assess the toxicity and side-effects of pesticides. In this study, the sublethal effects of a low concentration of spiromesifen (LC20) on life-history traits of T. urticae and its phytoseiid predator N. californicus were estimated for two successive generations (F0 and F1). According to the results, adult longevity, oviposition days, fecundity, and life table parameters (rm, R0, and T) exhibited significant negative impacts at LC20 compared to the control. Meanwhile, significant effects of the LC20 were found on most parameters of the life table (longevity, fecundity, oviposition days) of N. californicus. Also, spiromesifen had significant negative effects on the population parameters except for the net reproductive rate (R0) in N. californicus. On the other hand, the parameters of the consumption rate (finite predation rate (ω), stable consumption rate (ψ), and net consumption rate (C0)) in this predator exhibited significant negative impacts. Therefore, the results suggested that spiromesifen effectively controls the successive generation of T. urticae. Also, this compound adversely affected most parameters of N. califonicus, so it is inappropriate for IPM applications in the presence of this parasitoid.

Abstract:
The electro-mobility of vehicles could solve the negative effects of road transport, by decreasing greenhouse gas emissions. However, some electric vehicles also have a negative impact on the environment related to the nature of electricity used. This paper aims to evaluate the electricity sources for electric vehicles using a Life Cycle Thinking approach. Life cycle assessment, using several midpoints and endpoint methods, highlighted that the most damaging sources were lignite and diesel, while hydropower, wind, and biomass were the most sustainable ones. Cumulative energy demand showed that biomass used the least energy (0.034 MJ eq.), but originates from 100% non-renewable sources. Lignite, which also comes from 100% non-renewable sources, used the most energy (17.791 MJ eq.). The lowest carbon footprints were for wind, biomass, and photovoltaic (<0.1 kg CO2 eq). Municipal waste incineration and natural gas had a medium impact, while lignite, coal, peat, and diesel had a high impact (>1.0 kg CO2 eq.). Considering life cycle costing, photovoltaic electricity generation was the most expensive (0.2107 USD/kWh) while natural gas the cheapest (0.0661 USD/kWh). Therefore, this study presents an integrated approach that may offer a valid tool for decision-makers, giving them the possibility to choose the electricity sources for electric vehicles.

Abstract:
The purpose of the research is to study the influence of the life planning factor of representatives of the older age group on their self-limiting attitudes and practices. The article examines the influence of the planning factor on the self-limiting attitudes and practices of the older generation. The planning factor is presented in two options: planning of life at old age, carried out during the previous life stages (retrospective view), as well as actual planning by older people of their future for different periods. As a result of a study carried out on the basis of a questionnaire survey of the population aged 60 years and over (2019), it was found that the first type of planning has a very contradictory impact on the attitudes and practices of older people, while the second is definitely positive. It is also substantiated that life planning determines, first of all, a lower degree of interiorization of negative gerontostereotypes (thereby providing internal conditions for the implementation of a wider range of practices). However, if the limitations in the life practices of older people are determined from the outside (negative gerontostereotypes and attitudes of people reference for the elderly), then there is no statistically significant relationship between the values of (non) implementation of these practices and the planning factor.

Abstract:
Subjective well-being (SWB) is individual’s evaluation towards his life. SWB consists of three aspects: life satisfaction, positive affect and negative affect. A research conducted by Soto (2015) shows there is a reciprocal correlation between SWB and five personality dimensions (neuroticism, extraversion, openness, conscience and agreeableness). This research is consistent with a research by Diener that Subjective well-being is highly affected by personality (1999). A person with high SWB is high in extroversion, agreeableness, conscience and low in neuroticism. Objective of this research is to gain a picture of generation Y’s SWB through their personality assessment. This research involved 1107 participants, range from 18 – 37 years old. Personality is measured by NEO PI by Costa Mc Crae. The result shows generation Y is low in extraversion and openness; very low in agreeableness and conscience; and average in neuroticism. Based on the result we can conclude that generation Y’s SWB is tends to be low. Keyword: Subjective Well-being, personality, Costa-McCrae, Generation Y

Abstract:
This paper describes the development, validation, and reliability of a new measure to assess life experiences reported by adults, the Lifetime Experiences Scale (LIFES). This scale is important because no available measure focuses on both positive and negative life experiences and covers childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. LIFES is a self-report measure consisting of two sections: 75 items (organized into eight domains: school, work, health, leisure, life conditions, adverse experiences, achievements, and people and relationships) regarding lived experiences and blank spaces for non-lived (but desired) experiences. The procedures involved in the development of LIFES are described in detail (e.g., construct, generation of items and questions). Moreover, evidence based on test content, response processes, relations to other variables, and different classes of reliability for community samples are presented. Overall, the results suggest that LIFES presented good evidence of validity and reliability and can be a valuable tool for research and clinical purposes.

Abstract:
In the present study we investigated whether and how age group, dimensions of well-being and their interactions predicted the phenomenological properties of semantic self-images, taking also into account the different levels of accessibility of self-images (i.e., order of generation). Results on the first self-image revealed that, independently of age, higher levels of life satisfaction predicted higher likelihood of positive than negative statement and higher levels of negative affect and life satisfaction predicted higher levels of personal relevance of the self-image. When all self-images were considered, for higher levels of life satisfaction neutral and positive self-images were more likely than negative ones, and for lower levels of positive affect, neutral images were more likely than negative ones. Moreover, young adults were more likely than older adults to report neutral rather than negative self-images and, for higher levels of positive affect, they were more likely to report neutral and positive images instead of negative ones. These results suggest that the accessibility of semantic self-images should be taken into account in the investigation of the complex association between well-being and semantic self-images. Theoretical and practical implications of these results are discussed.
