 Os crimes mais comuns nos filmes policiais nazistas eram a sedução de mulheres, a falsificação de valores, o roubo de documentos e de inventos alemães, a fraude que prejudicava o povo e, sobretudo, o furto de jóias. Os criminosos eram representados com características físicas semelhantes: adiposos, olhar mortiço e sensual, com bigode ornando lábios carnudos. Tais biótipos eram largamente associados aos judeus nas caricaturas antissemitas (nazistas e pré-nazistas), amplamente difundidas nas mídias impressas do Terceiro Reich.
