Abstract:
<p>Samples from different industrial grape cultivars were collected during the vintage season from the vineyard of the winery (the «Shabo» winery Company, located in the Odesa region, Ukraine). The following industrial cultivars of grapes were selected for the research: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon, Riesling Rhenish, Aligote, Rkatsiteli, Bastardo, Traminer, Telti Kuruk, Grinosh.</p> <p>The grape cultivars were cultivated on the sandy soils in the district located between the Black Sea and the Dnestrovsky estuary. Grape must derived from different grape cultivars was placed into sterile glass flasks to half of the 450ml flask volume. Each flask was carefully closed with a rubber stopper with an injection needle in it. During the fermentation process, it was necessary to remove carbon dioxide, which was present as a result of active anaerobic fermentation processes in the grape must. At the end of grape must fermentation, pure yeast cultures were isolated using traditional microbiological methods by consistent inoculation of a sample into a Petri dish with a few modifications of nutrient selective agar for yeast isolation and cultivation. Primary yeast isolation was carried out using Inhibitory Mold Agar medium (Becton Dickinson Company, USA).</p> <p>The yeast culture morphological properties were analyzed after the primary yeast culture isolation. Yeasts were identified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using universal yeast primers. After yeast culture identification, the next step in yeast cultivation was carried out on Wort Agar medium (Becton Dickinson Company, USA). Each isolated, and identified yeast culture was deposited in the Genebank of Japan, MAFF culture Collection, Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan and (NCYC) - Yeast Culture Collection (National Collection of Yeast Cultures, Institute of Food Research, Norwich, United Kingdom). Each yeast culture was tested for technological characteristics such as growth resistance to high temperature (+42°C) and low temperature (+6°C), growth at low pH 2.6–3.0 (acid resistance), growth in the presence of 5, 10, and 15% ethanol (ethanol resistance), and growth in the presence of high concentration potassium bisulfite (bisulfite resistance). Hydrosulfide synthesis (H2S gassing production) was studied in addition.</p> <p>Parameters of cellular metabolism in yeast suspension, such as concentration of nitrogen, protein, triglicerides, enzymatic activity and total sugar (which include glucose, fructose, and galactose) were determined. Macro- and micro-element concentrations in fermented grape must, which contained pure yeast culture was determined and included: potassium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, chlorides. In addition to identifying parameters of macro- and micro- element concentration in grape must during and following fermentation based on a principle of photometric analysis, carried out using a biochemical analyser Respons-920 (DiaSys Diagnostic Systems GmbH, Germany).</p> <p>Laboratory selected <em>Saccharomyces cerevisiae </em>wine yeast showed high enzymatic activity with short lag phase. Since of fermentation started on third day concentration of Triglicerides, Protein (total), Potassium and Sodium increased and then level of Protein (total) on the 5th day of fermentation twice decreased. Trigliceride concentration on the 5th day of fermentation continued to increase. Concentration of Iron on the 5th day of fermentation increase in geometrical progression, concentration increase in 4-5 times. Contrary Chloride concentration on the 5th day of fermentation decreased in 3-4 times. Enzymatic activity on 3rd day of fermentation maximal for Lactate Dehydrogenase, Alanine aminotransferase, Aspartate aminotransferase, Phosphatase. Since of 5th day of fermentation Enzymatic activity for Lactate Dehydrogenase, Alanine aminotransferase, Aspartate aminotransferase 3-4 times. Especially level of Phosphatase activity very decreased in 6-7 times. Comparative assessment between our Laboratory selected <em>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</em> yeast culture and Dry active commercial <em>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</em> yeast culture did not showed any difference in enzymatic activity. Both groups showed high enzymatic activity on the third day from the start of fermentation and decreasing on the fifth day since of fermentation started.</p> <p><em> Key words: wine yeast, enzymatic activity, cellular metabolism</em><em>, </em><em>Saccharomyces cerevisiae</em><em>.</em><em></em></p>

Abstract:
Purpose – In recent decades, a framework for management performance has proven to be an important management practice for achieving organisational performance excellence. In this sense, the purpose of this paper is to analyse how a specific company manages to achieve performance excellence through the attainment of the Brazilian National Quality Award. Design/methodology/approach – The study adopts a case-based approach using a single unit of analysis that might be considered a revealing case. The company studied is one of the largest companies in the information and financial analysis sector in Latin America and is part of a major worldwide corporation. Semi-structured interviews with senior managers and document analysis were used for data collection, with content and inductive analysis performed a posteriori. Findings – The main results outline the approach adopted by the company for each performance excellence award criterion and highlight some of the relevant organisational practices, especially those related to the nature of the company’s businesses. The findings show that the top management has been an essential driving force in transforming the managers at all levels into agents of improvement at the studied company. Additional key points are the deployment of the company’s “shared values” throughout the company and the implementation of a medium- and long-term comprehensive strategic plan focused on the award criteria. The company’s strategic system has been a driving force of its success. Research limitations/implications – For a more extensive empirical validation, further replications using other samples are needed to ensure the external validity of these findings. Originality/value – This paper is one of the few published studies discussing business excellence in emerging economies, which is not observed very often in developing markets. In addition, the paper focuses on promoting a culture of quality, a less common phenomenon in the economies of developing countries than in those of developed nations. Finally, this paper may be useful for practitioners and academics interested in the subject of quality and performance excellence.

Sustainable innovation at a company level drives economic, environmental and social improvement at a national level. Recent evidence has shown that businesses have increased the managerial attention and investments dedicated to sustainability. This paper aims to identify the most important drivers supporting companies to develop innovation activities oriented towards making the business models more sustainable. We explore microdata from the 2016 Innobarometer “EU Business Innovation Trends” (Flash Eurobarometer 433), covering 8635 companies from 29 countries. Using statistical classification methods, we identify the most important factors that are related to innovation activities that have the potential to shape the efficiency of raw material usage and environmental protection. The most relevant factors emphasized by our analysis are: innovation performance of the country (innovation), percentage of the company turnover invested in innovation activities, percentage of total turnover invested in acquisition of machines, equipment, software or licenses, percentage of total turnover invested in company reputation and branding, including web design, percentage of total turnover invested in software development.. Also, our analysis highlights the skills that are needed the most by companies in order to support their innovation activities targeting sustainability. Our results are useful for better understanding the attention that is given to sustainability by innovative companies, and what the main factors that boost innovation dedicated to sustainability are.

The field of bioethics is by definition based on the presupposition that questioning, arguing, interruption, and response are the means by which we evaluate the truth claims of medicine and healthcare policy. The field began with the premise that another voice, one of at least critique, if not dissension, was just what was needed in any arena in which hegemonic expertise held sway. The field of the humanities is similarly based on the idea that both the literary and cultural canon—and the disputation and resistance to the canon—are acknowledged, taught, and honored. In situ in the clinic, on national boards, or in the literature, when a philosopher perceives a unanimity, she begins to be uneasy and begins to do the very thing she is trained for: to raise the questions of definition, method, data, motive, and goal.

Abstract:
Following the incorporation of Japanese national universities in April 2004, the ownership of university inventions is now similar to that in the USA. However, in contrast to the USA, joint research projects involving close collaboration with company researchers who are frequently named as co-inventors are common. A large proportion of university discoveries are passed directly to established companies under joint research agreements. This perpetuates the pre-2004 situation. It also raises concerns that large companies are pre-empting publicly funded discoveries and decreasing opportunities for new company formation. An analysis of inventions reported to a major national university indicates that one-third are attributed to joint research, and, among those inventions for which patent applications are filed, the proportion is still higher. The corresponding proportions at most other major universities are probably even higher than at this university. Pre-emption by large companies is more common in engineering and materials/chemistry than in the life sciences. Further cross-national comparisons are needed to assess the impact on innovation and basic research of the Japanese and US models of university–industry cooperation, and to guide policy.

Abstract:
In the midst of an industry downturn last year, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) reached a new oil production ceiling of 4 million B/D. The UAE’s largest producer has no intentions of slowing down. By decade’s end, ADNOC expects to have raised its maximum daily output by another million barrels. To cross that milestone, the company has set its sights on mastering the tight, thin, and unconventional formations that dot the UAE’s subsurface landscape. One of the places where such developments are hoped to unfold soon is known as Field Q. Found in southeastern Abu Dhabi, Field Q sits above a tight carbonate reservoir that holds an estimated 600 million bbl of oil. But with a permeability ranging from 1 to 3 millidarcy and poor vertical communication, the reservoir and its barrels have proven difficult to cultivate economically - until recently. ADNOC has published new details of its first onshore pilot of a “fishbone stimulation” that involved using more than a hundred hollow needles to pierce as far as 40 ft into the reservoir rock. The additional drainage netted by the fishbone needles boosted production threefold in the test well, as compared with its traditionally completed neighbors on the same pad. ADNOC ran the pilot in the summer of 2019 and by the end of the year saw enough production data to launch a wider 10-well pilot that remains underway. Based on a longer-term data set from these wells, the company will decide whether to leap into a fieldwide deployment of the niche completions technology. In the meantime, the petrotechnical team in charge of the test projects have issued roundly positive reviews of the fishbone technique in two recently presented technical papers (SPE 202636; SPE 203086) from the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC). “There is a chance that the fishbone-stimulated wells can avoid the drilling of multiple wells targeting different sublayers in the same zone,” said Rama Rao Rachapudi, listing one of several of the technology’s advantages over other approaches that were considered. The senior petroleum engineer with ADNOC, who is one of several authors of the papers that cover both the drilling and completions aspects of the pilot, shared during ADIPEC that his onshore team found motivation to test the technology after bringing in a batch of dis-mal appraisal wells. The fishbone system, also known as multilateral jetting stimulation technology, has been a specialized application ever since it was introduced just over a decade ago. Underscoring the potential impact of the current round of pilots on the technology’s adoption rate, ADNOC noted there were only around 30 worldwide fishbone deployments prior to this project. Most of those have been in the Middle East’s naturally fractured and layered carbonate formations - just like those of Field Q.

Abstract:
Abstract: The corporate tax system is easy to manipulate in modern economies, with high explicit and implicit costs of maintaining it. Attempts to reform it have been unsuccessful, with aggressive tax planning and tax evasion gaining ground at the international level. The source of constant conflicts between national tax administrations and companies is also the corporate tax base and tax accounting. Therefore, based on a new paradigm, I have developed a new, globally introduce, corporate value-added tax on corporate adjusted sales. Revenues from this tax would replace general government revenues lost due to the abolition of corporate tax. Based on the GDP of the member states of the European Union, I calculated the rate of the new tax for all member states. In the study, I present in detail, the mechanism of operation of the new tax, then describe the advantages of the introduction of the new tax compared to the corporate tax. Finally, I will thoroughly present how the taxation of dividends from company owners/shareholders would change if the new tax I planned was introduced and operated. This new type of taxation of dividends would, in my view, contribute more fairly to the burden-sharing. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) codes: C 53, E 62, H 24, K 34

Abstract:
The presence of the Company Law in Indonesia is a form of the government's special attention to the Company as one of the pillars of Indonesia's national economic development. Some regulations in the Company Law are recommendations, but some are orders that must be implemented. One of them is the agenda of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders which is regulated in Article 78 paragraph (2) of the Company Law as a mandatory activity that has been neglected by the closed Companies. The Purposive sampling technique is used in this juridical-empirical research supported by interviews with several companies’ organs. The authors present the results of the research in descriptive form supported by analysis using the theory of legal effectiveness from Soejono Soekanto and the theory of sociological jurisprudence from Eugen Ehrlich. Through this research, the authors found a lack of information received and a low understanding by business actors especially in the obligations of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. This makes business actors underestimate the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. Actually, it has a good influence on the Company in financial transparency and accountability for the performance of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of the Company to shareholders. Government contributions are needed through various relevant institutions, such as the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia and Notary Public to implement the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders as mandated in the Company Law.

The challenges facing the organization oriented profit and non profit currently is more complex. PT. Salestrade Corp. Indonesia is a national private company which is engaged in the electrical distributor of various companies in several countries in the world. However, in terms of administration, there is still much that needs to be improve, including in the case of handwritten work reports, attendance has not been recorded properly, there is no control regarding work in the field and there is no system that monitors employee performance. The implementation of this system is not effective and efficient. Therefore, a company needs a computerized system and requires a database to facilitate data storage and access data if needed at any time in order to produce useful information for the company. For that we need an application that functions to monitor employee performance and organize administration and company reports using an Android-based application. With this application it is hopefully that it can help make it easier for companies and employees to make work and attendance reports and make it easier for management to monitor employee performance so that administratively it becomes tidier.

Abstract:
For over a century in Egypt, the Suez Canal Company reflected the role of the concession in European economic expansion overseas. Concession was a European business practice widespread in Egypt; it was an institution inherited from a system of privileges for Europeans since the Middle Ages. It promised a way for Egypt to adopt modern infrastructures and receive needed European help for digging the canal. The results of the Suez Company are indisputable: the desert of the Suez Isthmus became a lively economic region with active ports, growing cities, and an expanding labor force. And the region was linked to the rest of the country by a new road network. At the same time, however, the concession system denied Egypt full benefit of this infrastructure. The canal served the financial and strategic interests of the company, not the interests of the local economy. This outcome embodied all the contradictions of the concession system: on the one hand, concessions were a necessity for modern infrastructure development in Egypt; on the other, they were a hindrance to further national economic development.

Abstract:
Activities in a company or institution are something that is usually done, the forms of these activities are generally training, socialization of new regulations, inauguration, and so on. These activities need to be recorded and the data managed as documentation or reference and consideration in subsequent activities. This activity requires planning starting from preparation, scheduling, distributing invitations via email, to implementing and recording the attendance of invited participants. The case study was conducted at PT Pelni Indonesia as an Indonesian National Shipping company that often carries out internal activities within the company. The problem that occurs in the management of company activities at PT Pelni is that so far it is still using the manual system. The participant registration process, participant data collection, sending invitations, recording participant attendance and so on are carried out in handwriting and stored in an excel file. Of course, this makes it difficult to search and manage data, and allows data loss or document slippage to occur. One solution that can be used to overcome these problems is to build an information system for managing company activity data. The management system can assist the HRD for data management needed in the implementation of activities carried out by the company. QR Code technology is also used to encrypt participant invitation numbers, verify participant data and to record attendance. The result of developing this system is a data management system for company activities by utilizing Quick Response Code (QR Code) technology. The generated QR Code can store various participant data in only 1 code and is used to verify participant data.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to evaluate why companies reduce transportation emissions by examining the relative importance of external drivers vs internal motives for companies in considering CO2 emissions in freight transportation. Design/methodology/approach – A framework is suggested that captures internal, competitiveness-driven motives and external, stakeholder-driven drivers for companies seeking to reduce CO2 in freight transportation. These factors are tested in a large industry survey in Sweden. The survey resulted in 172 responses from corporate heads of logistics, a response rate of 40.3 per cent. Findings – Variations in responding to stakeholder pressure vs company strategy for reducing transportation emissions are identified. Company strategy outweighs stakeholder pressure in determining whether a company intends to green its transportation. The strategy leads to company-internal motives for reducing transportation emissions which differ from company to company. These differences, in turn, lead to different levels of intended reductions. Stakeholder pressure sets the minimal levels that elevate the performance of a group of companies in an industry or a country, but the differentiation effect across companies is lost. The intention to reduce emissions is greatest if a company has both economic and image motives. The logistics resource configuration does not seem to impact drivers and motives. Research limitations/implications – The research is based on companies in Sweden. Studies across several countries are needed to investigate the impact of national requirements. Originality/value – The paper shows that the combination of the resource-based view and stakeholder theory presents a better explanation as to why companies reduce transportation emissions than either of them do separately. By combining the two theories this research differentiates between how stakeholder pressure and company strategy influence intents to green transportation.

Abstract:
Today, Corona-19, the threat of new security such as climate change, the increasing of US-China hegemony, and the provocation using North Korea's advanced science ICT have become commonplace. Despite the changes in the era of security threats, the government is holding back effective crisis management due to the fact that it is separated from reality, weak control towers, and lack of presidential leadership. To improve this, first, the revision of the law, such as the “Cyber Announcement Act” that meets the security environment, is the second, the operation of the security control tower coordination system and the unification of the chief of the company. Third, the establishment of the pseudonym “National Core-Based Protection Agency” is necessary. Fourth, it is necessary to prepare laws related to the voluntary compensation treatment for victims of unconstitutional commitment. Finally, participation such as Quad and Five-eyes is needed to share accurate information. The transformation of the national crisis management system in response to the environmental changes of security disasters is not a presence but a solen.

Abstract:
The most important cultural establishment in Slovakia, the Slovak National Theatre (SNT),was founded in 1920. The beginnings of this institution were extremely complicated because itsactivities were not managed by the state, but by a private company called the Cooperative of theSlovak National Theatre. This joint company was founded in 1919 and consisted of representativesof the then governing bodies, the Slovak intelligentsia, and representatives of banks and otherassociations. In the first two seasons, the Cooperative was dealing with operation issues, mostly withobtaining the financial resources needed. The complete artistic program was in the hands of the firstdirector of the SNT, Bedřich Jeřábek (1920–1922). During this period, however, we cannot talk aboutthe profiling of the dramaturgy of opera and operetta on the SNT stage. This period was followed bythat of directors and private entrepreneurs Oskar Nedbal (1923–1930) and Antonín Drašar (1931–1938), who due to the financial incompetence of the Cooperative, took the management of theSNT fully into their own hands. Both directors, together with the heads of the opera ensembles, preferred modern and experimental dramaturgy, including the latest works of art. Whereas Drašarused a pragmatic approach to resolving the theatre’s financial problems, for Nedbal caused the lossof his function and life. This study deals with the comparison of the work and theatre management of individual directorsin the interwar period, with an emphasis on opera and operetta dramaturgy.

Abstract:
Accounting policy is an internal document that contains data to ensure effective accounting, preparation and presentation of financial information, which is developed to combine with management decisions. The use of accounting policies should be consistently for similar transactions, other events or conditions. An entity has the right to change accounting policies only with the documentation of changes and their foundation. Cases in which it is possible to change the use to the accounting policies can be voluntary and mandatory. Accountants should use the theoretical and methodological aspects set out in UAS 6 “Error Correction and Changes in Financial Statements” and IAS 8 “Accounting Policies, Changes in Accounting Estimates and Errors” to reflect properly changes in the accounting policies. Due to detailed analysis of these standards, IAS 8 was found to consist all needed methodology of accounting policy changes. The international standard gives variable instructions on: financial statements data change due to the event of factors that exist on this balance sheet; information to be covered in the notes (disclosure) to financial statements; accounting estimate changes, etc. International and national standards disclose changes and amendments to the accounting policies. This fact is very important for the users of the accounting policies and financial statements, as the amendment does not provide any financial statements data change. The company should clearly understand the difference between changes in the accounting policies and accounting estimates, know due to what circumstances retrospective application of changes in the accounting policies is impossible and how reflect them properly in a prospective way. To ease understanding of the described processes an algorithm for using changes in accounting policies according to international and national standards was developed. This will improve the quality of information presented in the financial statements of the company and as a result of using these data top management will make effective decisions.

So far, the role of venture capital has not been optimal, or it can be said that while it is not working. In practice, in Indonesia, venture capital companies carry out their business like banking. That until now, in general, venture capital companies practice more as credit providers as the usual practice of providing bank loans. All requirements and conditions requested for a business partner company (actually: a debtor) are like a bank in giving credit. Therefore a legal reform of venture capital financing institutions is needed to optimize financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises to realize national development.

Case overview/synopsis Mamaearth was born as a direct-to-consumer brand in 2016 by a couple who could not find chemical-free, safe products for their child. The company that introduced as a baby-care brand soon consolidated itself to play in the space of personal care category (targeting millennials), and by 2020, it was earning majority of its revenue from skincare. It started by leveraging the power of social media space and online commerce and slowly moved to be a national brand with offline footprint and mass-media communication. In its growth journey, it acquired many brands and launched a few to cater to the specialized needs of its target audience. As the company grew, attracted impressive investors and started clocking profits, it aspired for an initial public offering (IPO). Varun and Ghazal Alagh, the founders of Mamaearth, knew that to refloat an IPO and to grow the company further, they needed to redefine their portfolio and marketing strategy. They had a choice to either invest in building a broader portfolio – organically or inorganically – or expand across geographies. Both were an option, albeit expensive, which could cost Mamaearth its profitability. Complexity academic level This case is intended for discussion in undergraduate and graduate management courses. Abstract:
Large Korean electronics companies are confronted by the enormous challenges of technological leadership. Past reliance on technology acquired overseas is no longer a viable strategy for those Korean electronics firms which have caught up with the rest of the world in the development of key technologies. No company has faced these challenges more keenly than the $62 billion Samsung Group. From a highly centralised and bureaucratic organisation with almost entirely Korean-based production, Samsung is in the process of transforming itself into the flexible, trans-national organisation necessary to compete in the next century. From a company dependent upon overseas technology and licenses, Samsung has developed advanced R&D capabilities and is developing the innovation management skills needed to compete as a technological leader. This transformation has to occur on a substantial scale and is difficult and incomplete. Samsung has traditionally been a conservative and bureaucratic company: characteristics unhelpful to innovation. This paper analyses the major factors driving the need to improve technology and innovation management in Samsung and the ways in which it is learning to innovate. It describes how this new learning about the need for innovation is beginning to manifest itself in new innovation management practices.

Abstract:
Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) represents a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of ionizing high-dose radiation to treat a wide variety of disorders. Much of the radiosurgical literature is based upon retrospective single-center studies along with a few randomized controlled clinical trials. More timely and effective evidence is needed to enhance the consistency and quality of and clinical outcomes achieved with SRS. The authors summarize the creation and implementation of a national SRS registry. The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) through NeuroPoint Alliance, Inc., started a successful registry effort with its lumbar spine initiative. Following a similar approach, the AANS and NeuroPoint Alliance collaborated with corporate partners and the American Society for Radiation Oncology to devise a data dictionary for an SRS registry. Through administrative and financial support from professional societies and corporate partners, a framework for implementation of the registry was created. Initial plans were devised for a 3-year effort encompassing 30 high-volume SRS centers across the country. Device-specific web-based data-extraction platforms were built by the corporate partners. Data uploaders were then used to port the data to a common repository managed by Quintiles, a national and international health care trials company. Audits of the data for completeness and veracity will be undertaken by Quintiles to ensure data fidelity. Data governance and analysis are overseen by an SRS board comprising equal numbers of representatives from the AANS and NeuroPoint Alliance. Over time, quality outcome assessments and post hoc research can be performed to advance the field of SRS. Stereotactic radiosurgery offers a high-technology approach to treating complex intracranial disorders. Improvements in the consistency and quality of care delivered to patients who undergo SRS should be afforded by the national registry effort that is underway.

Abstract:
Few university-based regenerative medicine innovations in the dental, oral, and craniofacial (DOC) space have been commercialized and affected clinical practice in the United States. An analysis of the commercial translation literature and National Institute for Dental and Craniofacial Research’s (NIDCR’s) portfolio identified barriers to commercial translation of university-based DOC innovations. To overcome these barriers, the NIDCR established the Dental Oral Craniofacial Tissue Regeneration Consortium. We provide generalized strategies to inform readers how to bridge the “valley of death” and more effectively translate DOC technologies from the research laboratory or early stage company environment to clinical trials and bring needed innovations to the clinic. Three valleys of death are covered: 1) from basic science to translational development, 2) from translational technology validation to new company formation (or licensing to an existing company), and 3) from new company formation to scaling toward commercialization. An adapted phase-gate model is presented to inform DOC regenerative medicine teams how to involve regulatory, manufacturability, intellectual property, competitive assessments, business models, and commercially oriented funding mechanisms earlier in the translational development process. An Industrial Partners Program describes how to conduct market assessments, industry maps, business development processes, and industry relationship management methods to sustain commercial translation through the later-stage valley of death. Paramount to successfully implementing these methods is the coordination and collaboration of interdisciplinary teams around specific commercial translation goals and objectives. We also provide several case studies for translational projects with an emphasis on how they addressed DOC biomaterials for tissue regeneration within a rigorous commercial translation development environment. These generalized strategies and methods support innovations within a university-based and early stage company-based translational development process, traversing the many funding gaps in dental, oral, and craniofacial regenerative medicine innovations. Although the focus is on shepherding technologies through the US Food and Drug Administration, the approaches are applicable worldwide.

Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of this publication is to attempt to determine the applicability of the basic assumptions of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and CSV (Creating Shared Value) concepts in the process of building marketing strategies, their types and the use of marketing-mix tools. Design/methodology/approach: In achieving the objective, a method of critical analysis of national and international literature relating to these issues (CSR and CSV concepts) was used. Findings: The concepts of CSR and CSV can be applied to the marketing strategies of companies. This applies in particular to the organization of marketing in the enterprise, its mission, the selection of markets, the establishment of the buyer segment and the marketing-mix tools. There should be an extension of the marketing cell within the enterprise, which is responsible for creating the marketing strategy and incorporating shared value into the marketing-mix policy. The selection of buyer segments from the point of view of social needs will make it possible to create the company’s offer in the form of shared economic-social value and to include companies from local markets in its creation and distribution channels. Changes to product policy are also needed, which should include the creation of shared-value products. Research limitations/implications: Difficulties in understanding the distinctiveness of the concepts of CSR and CSV by companies. Further research should focus on these problems and the actions taken by companies as a result of these concepts. Practical implications: These include proposals to broaden the scope of marketing research conducted by companies and to focus their product innovation policies on products that create shared value. Originality/value: The text presents issues rarely discussed in the marketing literature on the need for companies to take into account in their marketing strategies changes in the environment, related legislation, the needs of local communities, high levels of buyer education and increasing consumer requirements towards product suppliers.

The opportunities for the national textile industry depend on the ability to compete with producers from other countries. Not only in the world market but also in the domestic market. This is indicated by the flood of imported textile products, especially from China, which offers low prices for their products. However, local textile products are still able to compete because they have better quality. PT. Sinar Pangjaya Mulia is an export-oriented textile company engaged in the manufacture of various types of fabrics with the main products being rayon, polyester and cotton fabrics. In carrying out its production, PT. Sinar Pangjaya Mulia is still unable to perform optimal forecasting and efficient production planning as the basis for carrying out production activities, so all planning in the company is carried out suddenly. This has caused problems in the production activities carried out by the company in determining the production, machines and time needed to fulfill demand. To overcome these conditions, the company must be able to compile a demand forecast and production planning as a statement regarding how much demand is in a certain period and when the production demand must be made. From the results of data processing, it can be seen that the demand for fabrics produced for these three product items is within the next one year. Demand in January 2012 was 106,277 kg of rayon, 41,586 kg of polyester cloth and 78,552 kg of cotton, while the production planning for January 2012 was 226,415 kg with an inventory value of 80,000 kg, so in the January 2012 period there were no additional hours. /working days.

With a view to attracting investors, the Government of Ethiopia has offered a variety of incentives and financing schemes. However, the incentives or loan options can be inadequate, susceptible to corrupt practices and inaccessible to many business undertakings. This article examines other possible options of raising investment fund privately from the general public by issuing debt security (debenture). Instead of looking for hand outs of governments or sole reliance on bank loan, investors can raise investment fund from the general public –even beyond national borders– by offering debenture bonds for public subscription. A debenture is debt security that entitles its holder to collect periodic interest until the loan is paid back. Compared to bank loans, raising investment fund through the instrumentality of debentures is more advantageous. The rate of interest, the volume of loan needed for running business, and the time for repayment can be determined by investors. Moreover, the loan is not generally subject to collateral. This article highlights the nature, form, and class of debenture under Ethiopian law, and discusses the legal requirements for the issuance of debenture, the amount of money that can be raised by issuing debentures, the status of debentures in Ethiopia, and legal safeguards for repayment of the loan. Creativity, ideas, and an entrepreneurial attitude are needed to innovate. However, it is also necessary to have practical instruments that allow innovations to be reflected in the company. One of those tools is technology. This research aims to analyze innovation and technology in the tequila industry through Bayesian networks with machine learning techniques. Likewise, an innovation and technology management model will be developed to make better decisions, which will allow the company to innovate to generate competitive advantages in a mature low-tech industry. A model is made in which the critical factors that influence management innovation and technology optimally to generate value translate into competitive advantages. The evidence shows that the optimal or non-optimal management of knowledge management and its various factors, through the causality of the variables, allow the interrelation to be more adequately captured to manage it. The results show that the most relevant factors for adequate management of innovation and technology are knowledge management, sales and marketing, organizational and technological architecture, national and international markets, cultivation of raw materials, agave, and management, use of waste, and not research and development.

Abstract:
CV. Infotech Media is a national private company with legal entity which is engaged in website, desktop andandroid-based software development services. At the time of construction, projects often experience delays inproject completion due to several factors, namely in determining the estimated work time, the determination of theestimated work time often experiences discrepancies because the determination of the time estimate still uses roughestimates and ignores the possibility of optimistic and pessimistic times. In addition, there is no system thatcalculates which jobs should be prioritized and which jobs can be postponed for some time. Based on the problemsthat occur today, a project scheduling information system is needed at CV. Infotech Media. The method used tosolve this problem uses the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) method to calculate the right timeestimate and determine the critical path where there is work that is prioritized or cannot be postponed. Based onthe test results achieved, the project scheduling information system has been able to overcome the problems thatexist in the company, namely, calculating the right time estimate, providing information about the critical pathand making a schedule in the form of a Gantt Chart

Abstract:
Increasing concerns about the human impact on the environment are leading to new challenges for companies and their employees. Specifically, the food industry is facing the need to provide sustainable services, requiring a specialized and skilled workforce. This article presents a case study of an Italian sustainable Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) operating in the food sector in order to determine the drivers of working for this company, the key skills needed, and the Green Human Resource Management practices adopted. A total of 13 semi-structured interviews were conducted with employees and thematically analyzed. The findings showed that soft skills were perceived as more relevant than hard skills, although the food sector is characterized by high technical complexity and subjected to several national and international regulations. Moreover, the crucial role of organizational culture in determining the relevance of soft skills within the company and in fostering the implementation of the holacracy organizational management method emerged. Finally, by detecting the relevance recognized to values and soft skills during the recruitment and selection process, our findings provided some evidence of Green Human Resource Management in sustainable SMEs.

Abstract:
Business organizations were increasingly being held accountable for their social and environmental impacts. Disclosure of carbon emissions is an issue that is starting to develop in various countries, including Indonesia, related to climate change's effects on organizations' sustainability. National governments and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) needed to take action to urge companies to reduce carbon emissions, one of which is full disclosure of their carbon emissions. This study aimed to see whether knowing the presence of foreign directors, foreign commissioners, and foreign ownership affects the disclosure of carbon emissions. This study also used three control variables: Company Size, ROA, and DER. The samples of this research were companies listed on the IDX that are sensitive to the environment from 2019 to 2021, which issued a Sustainability Report resulting in a total of 41 companies. The test was carried out by performing multiple regression tests. The results showed that foreign commissioners, company size, and DER significantly influenced the disclosure of carbon emissions. Therefore, managers should consider balancing between foreign and local commissioners to benefit from a rich, heterogeneous resource encompassing the various merits of both types of directors, with particular emphasis on foreign commissioners' international exposure and experience.

Abstract:
Opportunities for employment for non-white performers in Canada’s theatre were reported in vivid instances at Toronto’s Ryerson Theatre last spring. A young East Indian actress who had been trained at the National Theatre School recounted her application to Bill Glassco, co-artistic director of the Canadian Stage Company. He had explained that under normal circumstances he would probably not consider her for a role such as Juliet unless her audition was “exceptionally good. No, it would have to be brilliant,” he said. Another director, one aware of minority problems, was John Van Burek, director of the Théâtre Français de Toronto. He admitted that visible minorities needed to be aggressive to win attention. “You have to break down my door,” was the way he phrased it.

Abstract All European Union (EU) member states till 2020 had an obligatory target for energy efficiency. One of instruments for countries to achieve national energy efficiency goals is obligation for large companies (LC) and large electricity consumers (LEC) to implement certified energy management system or perform energy audit. In this study the Latvian case study of obligation for LC and LEC where examined. The analysis was carried out using a theory-based policy analysis method combined with evaluation criteria from the EU legislative assessment guidelines The Better Regulation Agenda – efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, coherence, added value, validity, complementarity, coordination, equality, sustainability and acceptability. To evaluate energy efficiency policy measures, it is also important to understand energy efficiency measures that will realistically meet the set company and national targets. AHP and TOPSIS analyzes were performed to evaluate these measures not only from energy efficiency but also from environmental, climate, engineering-technical, economic, and social aspects. The results allow us to assess the fate of existing policies and to draw conclusions on the improvements needed to meet energy efficiency and climate goals in the future.
