Abstract:
The goal of this article consists in the analysis of phenomenological characteristics and legal correlation of the definitions “national interests” and “national security”. The author highlights doctrinal and conceptual peculiarities of consolidation of national interests in the modern Russian legal system, determines the priorities of establishment of the system of national interests, as well as proposes optimal means for formation of the system of national interests through the integrated model that ensures adequate inclusion of the objectively nationwide interests, creation of mechanisms of their protection and implementation. The efficiency of international legal mechanism of ensuring national interests in Russia on the regional and global scale is being analyzed and assessed. The priorities of international legal cooperation in the context of ensuring national security and protection of national interests are determined. The scientific novelty lies in the statement that sequential analysis of the problems, which emerge in terms of building the system of national security and in the sphere of fulfilling national interests, may significantly affect the theoretical-substantive  and technical-legal aspects of the regulatory-protective activity, establish a closer correlation between the fundamental elements of Russian legal system, including elements of the mechanism of ensuring national security.

Abstract:
The concept of “national cluster”, which has recently been used in the scientific community, is debatable and does not have clear identification characteristics. Linking clusters to a specific regional territory has always been one of the main conditions for creating these economic agglomerations. However, one cannot deny the fact that, being dynamic structures, clusters, as they develop and increase their efficiency, expand their boundaries. The article discusses stages of cluster development to the national level, and also formulates its key characteristics.

Abstract:
Environmental law is an actively developing branch of law in all countries, including Russia. Changes in the sphere of legal regulation of environmental management, protection and safety as an element of national security, like in any other branch of law, are due to the need to constantly improve the legal regulation of social relations. However, changes in the field of environmental law are particularly dynamic. This is due to, on the one hand, the continuing growth of adverse effects on the environment and, on the other hand, the development of new resource and energy-saving technologies and the need for their more active implementation in economic activities, as well as the application of effective management procedures. The article suggests directions for the development of the environmental law branch management in the Russian legal system. First, the norms of environmental law are now becoming fundamental in terms of ensuring basic human rights and freedoms, primarily, the right to life and health protection. Second, the norms of environmental law must be aimed at ensuring the well-being of future generations. Third, it is the complex intersectoral nature of environmental law and, accordingly, the breadth and diversity of sources containing the norms of environmental law. Finally, it is the global nature of environmental problems and, accordingly, the need to coordinate the efforts of the international community in matters of legal regulation of environmental protection, as well as the international exchange of experience in this area and focus on the experience of countries that have achieved the most significant results in the development of environmental legislation.

Abstract:
Humus forms dynamics and characteristics of different forest sites were studied in the area of Smrčina Mt. in the Šumava National Park territory. The study was performed in vital Norway spruce forest, dead Norway spruce forest (bark beetle Ips typographus infestation) and on a clear-cut area (site conditions were comparable for all three plots). The amount of surface organic matter was not affected by forest decline or by clear-cut (95.5 t/ha, 73.1 t/ha and 100.2 t/ha, respectively), pH being comparable (between 2.3 and 3.2 pH KCl). A slight favourable effect of grass litter on pH increase was obvious; higher leaching of bases occurred in lower horizons. Nitrogen losses were detected from the L + F horizons, falling from 1.93–1.83% (living stand) to 1.73–1.83% (clear-cut area). Higher ammonia production was documented in substrates (F and H horizons) from the living stand (from 263 and 103 mg/kg before incubation to 610 and 248 mg/kg after incubation – nitrogen content in ammonia form), and higher nitrification rates (nitrogen content in nitrate form) were recorded on the clear-cut area (103 and 80 mg/kg to 153 and 87 mg/kg) and especially in the dead stand (160 and 93 mg/kg to 216 and 139 mg/kg). Respective values for the living stand increased from 52 and 61 mg/kg to 119 and 84 mg/kg. Respiration activity, both potential and basic, was more balanced, indicating more intensive dynamics in the case of dead stand and clear-cut area.

Abstract:
OBJECTIVE: During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, baseline demographics and comorbidities of patients with COVID-19 have been presented, but there are limited data on outcomes of severely ill patients. We aimed to examine the association between patient characteristics and 30-day mortality among patients with COVID-19 treated in the intensive care unit (ICU). DESIGN: Population-based cohort study. SETTING: ICUs in Sweden. Participants: All consecutive patients with COVID-19 admitted to Swedish ICUs from 6 March to 5 April 2020. Main outcome measures: The primary outcome was 30day mortality after ICU admission. Patient demographics, comorbidities and clinical characteristics were also retrieved. RESULTS: A total of 604 patients were included. The median age was 61 years (interquartile range [IQR], 52–70 years) and 458 patients (76%) were males. The most common comorbidities were hypertension (35.9%) and diabetes (25.7%), whereas 36.4% of patients had no comorbidities. Median Simplified Acute Physiology Score (SAPS) 3 was 53 (IQR, 46–60). Of 573 patients with available respiratory support data, 487 (85.0%) received invasive mechanical ventilation. Among 518 patients with available data, 117 (22.6%) received renal replacement therapy. Median length of stay was 13 days (IQR, 6–20 days). Mortality at 30 days was 32.6%. In the multivariable Cox regression model, age (hazard ratio [HR] 1.06; 95% CI, 1.04–1.07 per year), the presence of one or more comorbidities (HR, 1.80; 95% CI, 1.20–2.68), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma (HR, 1.68; 95% CI, 1.12–2.50), hypertension (HR, 1.41; 95% CI, 1.01–1.99), and acute illness severity (SAPS 3 excluding age and comorbidity) (HR, 1.06; 95% CI, 1.04– 1.09) were associated with 30-day mortality. CONCLUSIONS: This population-based cohort study presents 30-day mortality of 604 ICU patients with COVID-19. The higher mortality was explained by older age, the presence chronic illness, and acute illness severity.

Abstract:
Abstract Objective.—To obtain descriptive information regarding the practice characteristics and utilization of US pathologists' assistants. Design.—A self-administered, mailed, voluntary, anonymous questionnaire was distributed to a cross-sectional sample of 515 US pathologists' assistants registered as members of the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants. The questionnaire contained items relating to subject demographics, practice characteristics, specific task performance, and amount of time spent per day on the performance of specific tasks. Descriptive statistics were used to describe the data in terms of measures of central tendency and dispersion. Results.—The response rate was 66.8%. The majority of questionnaires sent and received were from East Coast regions. Of all respondents, 46.6% were women, 57.6% were less than 40 years old, and 60.0% had been practicing 10 years or less. Over half (54.0%) had a master's degree. Almost the entire sample reported working 30 or more hours per week, with 43.4% reporting working more than 40 hours per week. The majority reported earning annual salaries between $56 000 and $75 000. Although task analysis of responses revealed a wide range of responses, the majority of the sample reported spending most of their daily time performing surgical specimen gross examinations (median 300 min/d). Approximately half of respondents also reported spending up to 90 minutes per day on nonspecific tasks such as logging specimens and answering the phone. Most respondents reported spending more daily time on such nonspecific tasks than on autopsy prosection or research. Conclusions.—To our knowledge, this national survey provides the first description of pathologists' assistants across the United States. These data provide a useful tool for tracking changes in the profession.

Abstract:
Introduction. Investigation of adolescent sexual behavior carried out on a large sample is primarily motivated by health and social problems which can occur when young people practice sex without protection and necessary information. There is no data that the national study on adolescent sexual behavior has been conducted in the Serbian speaking area. Objective. Monitoring and follow-up of trends in adolescent sexual behavior. Methods. The investigation sample comprised 1101 adolescents (472 male and 629 female), aged 13-25 years. As an instrument of polling, the questionnaire 'Sexual Behavior' was used specifically designed for the purpose of this investigation. Results. Eighty-four percent of males and 65% of females reported having sexual experience. The age of the first sexual experience, total number of partners, number of sexual partners in the last year and the last month were investigated, and the number of loved and sexual partner compared. In addition, the length of foreplay, frequency of sexual activity, masturbation, sexual dreams and sexual daydreams and engagement into alternative sexual activities (oral sex, anal sex, group sex, exchange of partners) were estimated, as well as the reasons for their practicing. Sexual desire and its correlation with personality dimensions, the frequency of sexual disorders (erectile and ejaculation problems, anorgasmia), abortion, rape and identification of the rapist, the use of condoms and other methods of contraception were assessed. Conclusion. It could be postulated that biological influence on sexual behavior is powerful and resistant to the influence of time and place, as well as socio-cultural religious influences. A high rate of premarital sexual activity with a number of sexual partners, a relatively low rate of condom use and the fact that 4% of the female adolescents in this sample had an induced abortion suggest that there are gaps in the education provided to adolescents about sexual and reproductive risks within the Serbian speaking territory. An alarming statistic is that 5% of the female adolescents in this sample reported that they had been raped, or forced to participate in non-consensual sex within an ongoing relationship with a regular partner. There is a need for systemic changes within the field of sexual education and protection from sexually risky behavior among young adults.

Abstract:
Introduction: Performance in Canoeing and Kayaking depends upon different factors and Somatotype is one of the most important factors of these. The present study aimed to find out the somatotype of Indian national level Canoeists and Kayakers who participated in International and National level competitions. Methods: 27 national level Canoeists and Kayakers were studied for their Somatotype. All subjects were selected from different water sports training centers across the country. Out of 27 athletes, 11 were male athletes (seven Canoeists and four Kayakers) and 16 were female athletes (6 Canoeists and 10 Kayakers). Heath-Carter method (1967) was followed for Somatotyping. Results: Average somatotype of 3.4(±0.9)-5.0(±0.8)-3.4(±2.1) was observed for the male Canoeists and Kayakers whereas that of females was 5.9(±1.6)-4.7(±1.1)-2.0(±1.1). Thus, the male Indian National Canoeists and Kayakers were with Balanced mesomorph somatotype on average whereas the female counterparts were Mesomorphic endomorph. The average muscularity of both male and female Canoeists and Kayakers was moderate. Conclusions: Ectomorphic mesomorph somatotype is the ideal body type for a sportsman in Water sports. Besides Somatotype characteristics, the muscularity of an athlete represents muscular strength which is an important factor for good performance in water sports and generates the required energy for paddling. Moderate muscularity of both male and female Indian Canoeists and Kayakers could hinder good performance in international arenas like the Olympics and Commonwealth Games. Thus Indian Canoeists and Kayakers should improve their muscularity with proper training and nutrition.

The article under discussion depicts axiological characteristics of English, Uzbek and Russian phraseological units. The aim of the author was to study English, Uzbek and Russian phraseological units as a reflection of the national character and national values of the native speakers. The English, Uzbek and Russian phraseological fund is so large that a complete study of it would not fit into the framework of the target research. However, on the example of the phraseological units considered in the article it is possible to get an idea of the mentality of the British, Uzbeks and Russians.

Abstract:
The civic values of a 21st century man, the acquisition of the traditions and symbols of his own national culture are changing. The sustainability of the process of national enculturation and the significant impact exerted by the media pose serious challenges for the leaders of states, the creators of school systems and methodologies, as well as the representatives of arts. One of the most effective and dominant actors in enculturation can be the state, which maintains the institutions shaping their methodology, gives direction for and often specifies the content through funding, and provides public law definitions of the symbols that can be decisive for citizens in this process of enculturation. The younger generation’s openness for cultural traditions and their historical memory are of particular interest here. The concept of enculturation was introduced by M. J. Herskovits (1962). Enculturation is a most comprehensive learning process. This means the acquisition of basic skills which are indispensable for all human beings. These skills are gained through the help provided by the institutions and forms of activity established by the society and through education. To continue this idea, these skills are indispensable in the Hungarian society, where they are gained through the help of the institutions and forms of activity established by the society, such as language, religion, technology, art, and sport, and through education. Education is the most important means of reproducing the culture of a society in the individual and passing it on to each generation. My study was designed to briefly represent the results of a micro-survey, which paved the way for a collection of nation-wide data. I collected the presented research data during a small sample survey to prepare a questionnaire (pending) to gain a deeper understanding of the national memory of university students. The form of the study is a research paper. It reflects a state at a given point of the research, commenting on the relevant findings of literature, and raising new dilemmas in a changing youth scenario, which I would like to analyse in their deeper patterns later.
