Abstract:

Shaykh Abu Salih the Armenian reported that in the VII century there was a Nasara Nasathirah (Nestorian) Church in Fansur or Fahsur. According to Y. Bakker, Fansur or Fahsur is the name of a country in North Sumatra and the Nestorian Church is the Catholic Church. Y. Bakker’s interpretation is somewhat weak for two reasons. First, Fansur or Fahsur can also refer to a country in northwest India. Second, in the seventh century of our era there was not yet section of the Nestorian Church which was in full communion with Rome; thus the Nasara Nasathirah Church cannot be called a Catholic Church if the Catholic Church is understood as a Church that is in full communion with the Roman Church. However, the Nasara Nasathirah Church can be called a Catholic Church if the Catholic Church means the Church which based herself on the faith in Jesus Christ

Abstract:

This paper discusses a Christian-Muslim debate taking place in Egypt early last century. It examines its protagonists’ deployment of scripture as they evaluated “the religion of the other” and upheld their own. The Christian protagonist is Niqula Ghabriyal, author of Abhath al-Mujtahidin fi al-Khilaf bayn al-Nasara wa al-Muslimin (Researches of the Mujtahids on Christian-Muslim Disputation), published in 1901. Ghabriyal deploys the Quran to uphold the veracity of the Bible and hence the soundness of Christian doctrine. In addition, he rebuts Muslim readings of biblical texts. Upon these bases, he calls for Muslim conversion to Christianity. His approach finds analogs in various missionary publications dating from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Muslim protagonist is Rashid Rida, who publicly challenged Christian critics of Islam. Beginning in 1901, Rida published a series of articles in his journal al-Manar in response to works critical of Islam, including Ghabriyal’s book. In 1905, Rida published sixteen articles as a separate book, Shubuhat al-Nasara wa Hujaj al-Islam (The Criticisms of the Christians and the Proofs of Islam). This paper examines the arguments developed by Ghabriyal and Rida as they sought to persuade Muslims of the merits of their views. The specification of the Muslim audience is pertinent. The debate was framed by a general notion of Western progress relative to Muslim backwardness. From the perspective of colonial administrators, Western evangelists, and like-minded Arab Christians, Islam was a barrier to progress. This was to be overcome, amongst other means, by conversion to Christianity, the call to which was often accompanied by discussions of Islam’s defects. These frequently draw on the Bible and Quran and, in Ghabriyal’s case, classical and modern Islamic scholarship. From this angle, the debate may appear to be a case of Christian proselytization met by Muslim resistance. Yet in Rida’s view there was something further at play. He felt that evangelism disingenuously if not hypocritically packaged a different agenda. Rather than Muslim conversion to Christianity, he felt that the ultimate Christian goal was to alienate Muslims from a general religious disposition. In resisting that, Rida would establish Islam’s rational character and contrast it with what he found to be the inherent irrationality of traditional Christian doctrine.

Abstract:

Islam is the religion of peace and coherence revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a true guidance and mercy for the mankind. As the Prophet preached the message of Islam in Arabia, which later on spread in almost all the continents, Muslims interacted with the adherents of different religions, cultures, civilizations, ethnicities and creeds. When the Prophet migrated to Madina; he had interacted there with the Jews of Madinah and later on with the Christians of Arabia. These encounters and models include the migration, battles, treaties and dialogues within and without. In human history, the cultures and civilizations are compelled to relate to one another on a continuous and constant basis. Although the move towards inter-religious dialogue was first started within a Protestant branch of the Christian church, and the idea of interfaith dialogue is relatively modern but some of its instances could be traced back to the history of Islam as well. The main theme of this study and research will focus on the Prophetic approach and methodology towards dialogue. The researcher will try to seek the answers of the issues of today’s world which are being faced by the world in general and the Muslim Ummah in particular related to interfaith dialogue. The study will sort out the guidelines which could be found in the Life of the Prophet and the attitude and Hikmah (wisdom) of the Prophet towards dialogue seeking a Prophetic approach for the contemporary phenomenon of cultural and civilisational pluralism.

Abstract:

This study quantified and assessed the mobility of iron, nickel, cobalt and lead in soils around a sack and packaging company using indices such as mobility factor and risk assessment code. The results evaluating the mobility factor of heavy metals in soils around the sack and packaging company reveal that all the metals determined exceed the minimum limit of 10% mobility factor and are mobile with the mobility factor being in the order of: Ni > Pb > Co > Fe in the test soil. The risk assessment of heavy metals in the area based on risk assessment code ranged from low risk to medium risk (1-30%) where the risk level of the heavy metals is in the order: Co > Ni > Pb > Fe in the test soil.

Abstract:

Zdravstveno stanje jedan je od ključnih čimbenika kakvoće sadnog materijala agruma. Terenskim i labaratorijskim istraživanjima utvrđena je zaraženost Citrus Tristeza virusom koji uzrokuje smanjenje bujnosti i rodnosti većine matičnih stabala agruma u nasadima Doline Neretve, najvažnijem području uzgoja te kulture u Hrvatskoj. Problem je prisutan već dugi niz godina jer se za nove nasade koriste pupovi iz proizvodnih nasada CAC kategorije (Conformitas Agraria Communitatis), dakle sa već zaraženih stabala. Matični nasadi viših kategorija zasnovani prema shemi EPPO, do sada nisu uspostavljeni. Podizanje takvih nasada, u predosnovnoj, osnovnoj i cerftificiranoj kategoriji, neophodno je za proizvodnju zdravog sadnog materijala, što je sadržano i u Direktivi Vijeća Europske unije (2008/90/EZ) o stavljanju na tržište reprodukcijskog sadnog materijala i sadnica namijenjenih proizvodnji voća. To je bila ujedno i polazišna točka pokretanja projekta „Podizanje kvalitete matičnih nasada agruma, jezgričavih i koštićavih voćnih vrsta u Republici Hrvatskoj“ Ministarstva poljoprivrede. Tako proizveden visoko kvalitetni sadni materijal omogućit će povećanje produktivnosti nasada agruma, te bolju pomološku vrijednost. Ovim člankom, o postupku uspostavljanja certifikacijske sheme, su analizirani dostupni podaci o Italiji i Španjolskoj koje su vodeće europske zemlje u području agrumarstva. Konzultirana je i referentna znanstvena literatura.

Abstract:

This research focuses on the analysis of the meaning field on a series of word synonyms nasaba-nasala, hadhona-kafala, and syarofa-sâda, so that the meaning found can facilitate contextualization in translating sentences. This study aims to look at the field of meaning of tarâduf in the analysis of the words nasaba-nasala, hadhona-kafala, and syarofa-sâda in the Khulâshoh Nûrul Yakin book so that the field of meaning of tarâduf (word synonyms) can form a relationship between several words into a similarity of meaning. The research method used a content analysis study with a qualitative descriptive approach in the literature of the book Khulâshoh Nûrul Yakin. The results show that the lexical meaning of nasaba-nasala is descent, the meaning of hadhona-kafala is to take care, and syarofa-sâda is noble. Meanwhile, the situational meaning of the context results in the result that nasaba is hereditary due to family biological factors, while nasala is hereditary due to ethnicity and state factors, then hadhona is taken care of due to breastfeeding custody, while kafala is taking care of, caring for family responsibilities, then syarofa is the glory that the personal business factor of the actor of the group is obtained, while sâda is the glory because of the descent of the group or tribe.

Abstract:

Software cost estimation (SCE), estimating the cost and time required for software development, plays a highly significant role in managing software projects. A somewhat accurate SCE is necessary for a software project to be successful. It allows effective control of construction time and cost. In the past few decades, various models have been presented to evaluate software projects, including mathematical models and machine learning algorithms. In this paper, a new model based on the hybrid of the artificial fish swarm algorithm (AFSA) and the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm is presented for SCE. The initial population of AFSA, which includes the values of the effort factors, is generated using the ABC algorithm. ABC algorithm is used to solve the problems of the AFSA algorithm such as population diversity and getting stuck in a local optimum. ABC algorithm achieves the best solutions using observer and scout bees. The evaluation of the combined method has been implemented on eight different data sets and evaluated based on eight different criteria such as mean magnitude of relative error and PRED (0.25). The proposed method is more error-free than current SCE methods, according to the results. The error value of the proposed method is lower on NASA60, NASA63, and NASA93 datasets.

Abstract:

The Quran is a blessing sent down by Allah to the prophet Muhammad through the Arabic language. In the Quran is found a word that represent a lot of meaning, which is called musytarak lafzi (polysemy). For example is the word nashara and its derivations. The corpus data used in this research is the Quran and the translation, while the collecting of this data is using a digital based corpus that is the Quran Arabic Corpus (https://corpus.quran.com/). This study aims to analyse morphological aspect and semantics side of /nasاara/, since it generates many kind of word as it's derivation; and in the same time those derivation words have various meaning, relying on the context and lexical sense. In this research, the writer uses the semantic lexical analysis approach because this research is to analyse a word. This research is classified as a qualitative research with descriptive-analytic method. The findings of the research regarding the word nashara and its derivations show a few things, such as; 1) The use of the word nashara and its derivations in the Quran in ayat and surah is in the form of fi'il mudhari, fi'il amr, masdar, ism fa'il, ism maf'ul, and shighat mubalaghah, 2) The meaning of the word nashara and its derivations are lexical and contextual. The lexical meaning is to help and the derivations are referred to the innitial meaning. In the Quran, the word nashara and its derivations is used a lot to show several meaning, such as; winning, avenge, massacre, and christian. مستلخص في القرآن هناك كلمة واحدة تشير إلى معاني كثيرة، ويسميىت بالمشترك اللفظي، مثلا لفظ "نصر" ومشتقاته. يهدف هذا البحث لمعرفة الصيغ الصرفية للفظ "نصر" ومشتقاته في القرآن الكريم ومعرفة المعاني المتضمنة في لفظ "نصر" ومشتقاته في القرآن الكريم. في هذ البحث، المدخل المستخدم هذا البحث هو نهج التحليل الدلالي المعجمي لأن البحث حلل اللفظ. يصنف هذا البحث كبحث نوعي مع أساليب وصفية تحليلية. مصدر هذه البيانات البحثية هو نص القرآن الكريم و ترجمتها، و أما أثناء جمع البيانات باستخدام موقع القرآن العربي (corpus.quran.com). وصل نتائج البحث في اللفظ "نصر" و مشتقاقه يظهر عدة أشياء، وهي : ١) إن في القرآن الكريم استعمال لفظ " نصر" ومشتقاته في مختلف الآيات والسور بالبنية الصرفية توزع بين فعل ماض ومضارع وأمر ومصدر واسم فاعل واسم مفعول وصيغة المبالغة. Abstract:

U radu su prikazani elementi rasta stabala u linijskim nasadima talijanske johe (Alnus cordata /Loisel./ Duby) u starosti 11 i 16 godina i crne johe (Alnus glutinosa /L./ Gaertn.) u starosti 100 godina u sličnim stanišnim uvjetima na Fruškoj gori (Srbija). Nasadi su osnovani na antropogeno izmijenjenom staništu lužnjaka i graba u potočnoj dolini, na nadmorskoj visini oko 120 m. Talijanska joha predstavlja novounijetu vrstu u Srbiju 2004. godine, a nasad crne johe je u kategoriji najstarijih nasada te vrste na Fruškoj gori. Komparacija elemenata rasta stabala talijanske johe u starosti 16 godina, kada je srednja i dominantna visina stabala iznosila 19,5 i 21,0 m, a srednji i dominantni promjer na prsnoj visini 47,0 i 59,4 cm, i elemenata rasta stabala crne johe u starosti 100 godina na istom lokalitetu, gdje je srednja i dominantna visina stabala iznosila 24,0 i 25,2 m, a srednji i dominantni promjer na prsnoj visini 48,7 i 62,1 cm, ukazala je da su promjeri talijanske johe oko 95%, a visine oko 81% od vrijednosti istih elementa rasta kod crne johe. Izvedeni elementi rasta nasada (na bazi preračuna da se po hektaru nalazi 200 stabala) ukazuju da veličina temeljnice oko 35 m2•ha−1 i volumena nasada oko 300 m3∙ha−1 kod talijanske johe u starosti 16 godina iznose oko 90% od istih veličina kod crne johe u starosti 100 godina. Na osnovu početnih rezultata uzgoja talijanska joha može predstavljati potencijalno primjenjivu vrstu: kao brzorastuća u šumskim plantažama i dekorativna u urbanim područjima.

Abstract:

Smokva (Ficus carica L.) je mediteranska voćna kultura koja ima dugu tradiciju uzgoja na području Ravnih kotara. Područje istraživanja se nalazilo u blizini mjesta Polača u nasadu smokve s integriranim sustavom proizvodnje. Zastupljene sorte su „Zamorčica“, „Bjelica“ i „Petrovača bijela“. Način gospodarenja tlom u voćnjacima igra važnu ulogu u aktivnosti i raznolikosti faune prizemnih člankonožaca. Istraživanje je provedeno s ciljem proučavanja sastava i aktivnosti faune prizemnih člankonožaca u zakorovljenom za razliku od pokošenog i malčiranog nasada smokve. Za vrijeme pokusa nasad smokve je bio podijeljen na dva dijela. Jedan dio bio je zakorovljen, a drugi pokošen i malčiran nekoliko puta tijekom vegetacijske sezone. Istraživanje je trajalo od svibnja do rujna 2017. Uzorkovanje je obavljeno korištenjem lovnih posuda („pitfall traps“). Ulovljeno je sveukupno 1 689 jedinki koje pripadaju u 2 razreda, 7 redova i 15 porodica. Na zatravljenom dijelu pronađeno je 993 jedinki, dok je na pokošenom zabilježeno 696 jedinki. Najbrojniji su bili: opnokrilci (Hymenoptera - por. Formicidae), kornjaši (Coleoptera) i pauci (Araneae). U ovom istraživanju dominirali su mravi sa zastupljenošću od 77. 68% ukupnog ulova.
