Riassunto Nel sottolineare gli aspetti narrativi del canto, la lectura intende concentrarsi sul problema della rappresentabilità della fede. Conforme alla dottrina dei quattro elementi, il ragionamento di Dante distingue tra la facoltà di percezione limitata della natura lapsa, che descrive in termini di cecità, e l’autorizzazione a trascendere, grazie alla perfezione di Beatrice, mediatrice del logos divino, quella natura data al protagonista e ai lettori del poema. Questa messinscena della trascendenza corrisponde alla necessità storica di una delimitazione teologica della setta ebraica.

In Italia, tra il 1945 e il 1947, furono pubblicate più di cinquanta testimonianze sulla deportazione, tra cui solo alcune appartengono al genere narrativo. Tra i testi narrativi se ne contano sette di autori italo-ebrei: Lazzaro Levi, Primo Levi, Giuliana Tedeschi, Liana Millu, Luciana Nissim, Frida Misul e Alba Valech Capozzi. Se Liana Millu e Giuliana Tedeschi iniziarono a scrivere nell’immediato dopoguerra e riscrissero le loro testimonianze in un secondo momento, Luciana Nissim nei suoi saggi sulla psicanalisi (degli anni settanta in poi) non ritrattò il tema della deportazione su cui sono invece incentrati i racconti testimoniali scritti a ridosso della liberazione. Passando dal racconto testimoniale a una narrativa che possiamo definire “analitica”, Nissim – medico e psicoanalista di professione – sviluppò una riflessione che investe il ruolo dell’analista e, più specificamente, le modalità dell’ascolto. Traendo ispirazione dal metodo dell’intervista multipla dello psicologo clinico Henry Greenspan, si confrontano in questo studio le tre versioni della relazione dal titolo Ricordi della casa dei morticonservate presso il Centro Bibliografico dell’Unione delle Comunità Ebraiche Italiane a Roma, la versione a stampa dall’omonimo titolo edita da Ramella (1946), nonché i saggi scientifici di Nissim sulla psicanalisi, le varie interviste rilasciate dopo la morte di Primo Levi, e la corrispondenza con il marito Franco Momigliano.Attraverso una lettura diacronica della produzione narrativa e scientifica dell’autrice viene analizzata la funzione dei singoli testi – nella loro specificità memoriale o narrativa – alla luce di una dinamica che considera il trauma in quanto processo.

The thesis revolves around the theoretical and practical aspects of museum studies. More specifically, it focuses on European Jewish Museums built 'ex novo' in the post-war period. It analyzes several museum exhibition designs based on various narrative strategies. The main topic of the research concerns the museum as a communicative space, or as a narrative medium in the function of the collective memory and the public debate. The project aims at studying the genesis of museum narration and its influence on public perception and response in different cultural and historical contexts. The theoretical issues are highlighted and addressed considering the museum as a dynamic reality and place of cognitive experience that can lead not only to the redefinition of the identity of individuals or communities but also to the formation of a critical approach towards the unresolved issues of history and towards the problems of today's world. Starting from the genesis of the concept of the historical narrative museum of J. Weinberg, which has become the common reference point for both Jewish and historical museography, the thesis is a critical synthesis of the theoretical debate concerning the various exhibition models applied in the context of historical museums. Particular attention is given to questions related to the "new museology" and to the museological turn that begins to be more interested in the relationship between museum and visitor than between museum and exhibited object. The first part of the thesis examines the birth of museum models that, in the context of Jewish museology, trace the path to the search of "total" museum experience and the formation of the first museum campuses. The section closes with the analysis of the Jewish Museum of Berlin (JMB) which represents a sort of watershed in contemporary Jewish museology, becoming a reference model for historical museums and an example of excellence for the "total" museum experience. It is also the first European case of application of the Weinberg concept, as well as being an example of a strong influence of the Holocaust memory on museum design. The second part of the thesis takes as a case study the Museum of the History of Polish Jews of Warsaw (POLIN), which despite being influenced by Weinberg's thought, reversed the German model, treating the Holocaust only as one of the many chapters of the Jewish history. The analysis focuses on the narration types present in the museum, making evident both the presence of elements referable to the very first exhibiting models (referred to in the first part of the thesis) and applications of the solutions of contemporary technologies. In a nutshell, the thesis investigates the relationship between the modes of representation of the past and the critical function of the contemporary museum. Considering the multifaceted character of museum narratives, the study asks questions about the role of the object exposed and the objectivity of the representation of history; it also raises questions on fundamental issues such as identity, the relationship of museums with urban space, socio-political interests, public expectations, relations with mass culture and, finally, the validity of the presence of contemporary art in the museums of history. Particular attention is paid, in this sense, to the role of temporary exhibitions, which represent the future of historical museums.

Il presente lavoro intende analizzare l'opera di Orly Castel-Bloom sullo sfondo della letteratura israeliana femminile contemporanea. Il ruolo del materno e della maternità nell'opera di Orly Castel-Bloom ha suscitato grande attenzione ed è stato oggetto di diverse analisi ed interpretazioni. Attraverso questo lavoro le varie posizioni ed osservazioni saranno riconsiderate alla luce di un’analisi testuale che assume come punto di partenza la lingua usata dalla scrittrice per denotare la sfera del materno. L'intento è dunque quello di riorganizzare in un unico volume le diverse linee interpretative seguite dalla critica, avvalorando o confutando ciascuna di esse sulla base dei dati che emergono dal testo stesso. A questo scopo il presente lavoro è organizzato in quattro distinte sezioni: le prime due provvedono a delineare il quadro storico-letterario e a fornire una panoramica organica sui romanzi di Orly Castel-Bloom; la terza ripercorre l'atteggiamento della critica nei confronti della sua opera, soffermandosi in particolare sulla dibattuta questione della maternità e confrontando le osservazioni che emergono dall’analisi del testo con le interpretazioni date dalla critica, mentre la quarta ed ultima parte è dedicata alle conclusioni che tale analisi permette di trarre sull'intera opera dell’autrice e sul rapporto tra rappresentazione del femminile, femminismo e post-modernismo nei suoi romanzi. Il lavoro è completato da un'appendice in cui viene raccolto ed organizzato il materiale testuale.
