Abstract:
The effects of mixed-reality teaching experiences on participants’ perceptions of their classroom management ability are evaluated using a mixed-methods design. Mursion, a technology that enables virtual simulations, is used. Participants include 29 undergraduates pursuing a degree in special education for learners with mild or moderate/severe disabilities enrolled in a university-level course focused on developing skills in managing the learning environment. Participants teach three different scenarios in the Mursion lab over the semester and complete a 21-statement survey using a 5-point Likert-type scale (i.e., strongly agree–strongly disagree) and reflect about their experience into a video camera. Results indicate that some participant perceptions changed over time because of the Mursion experiences and that the academic program being pursued made no difference in the participants’ Mursion experience. Implications for practice with a focus on rural education and limitations of the study are also discussed.

Abstract:
Educator preparation programs have moved away from offering interest-based courses that prepare a teacher candidate on a more surface level and have opted to integrate more authentic experiences with technology that are infused into coursework. This research study focused on redesigning key courses in both the general and special education graduate-level educator preparation programs (EPPs) to infuse learning experiences through a simulated learning environment (Mursion) to help bridge teacher candidates’ coursework and field experiences, offering them robust experience with high leverage practices and technology that increases their own competency. Data from this study demonstrated that preservice teacher candidate work within the Mursion simulated learning environment increased use of high leverage practices related to strategic teaching, collaboration, differentiation, and providing feedback. Implications for instructional coaching, microteaching, repeated practice, and closing the research to practice gap are discussed.

Abstract:
Bangladeshi poetry underwent significant changes in cases of subject-matter, theme, and technique over the period of last 40 years. With the passage of time, it embraced as well as adapted to those changes. De facto, after the year of 2000, how poetry has been fashioned in a new way is brought into focus through this research paper. More particularly, I have studied the subject-matter, theme, and language of four contemporary Bangladeshi poets namely Mujtaba Ahmed Murshed, Obayed Akash, Binoy Barman and Rakibul Hasan. I have considered these less known but substantial poets’ poetry because while coming across their poems I have minutely noticed the changes and variety they have celebrated through their verses. Therefore, I have selected four poetry collections of the aforementioned poets to expose multifarious aspects of the contemporary Bangladeshi poetry.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Preparing teacher candidates to provide learning strategies that support the differentiated needs of students should be at the forefront of all educator preparation programs (EPPs). Teacher candidates must become fluid in providing strategies that promote students’ individualized academic and social–emotional growth as well as strategies that support effective collaboration to enhance student productivity across the school environment. This pilot study explored the use of mixed reality (e.g., Mursion) as a tool to support pre-service general and special education teacher preparation and improvement of self-efficacy related to student engagement and instructional strategies. This study collected data on teacher candidates’ pre-/post-self-efficacy and participant self-reflections from an EPP in the United States. The results of this study yielded ideas as to how EPPs can better support teacher candidate preparation using a mixed-reality platform, as data revealed participant increase in self-efficacy and gains in the use of student engagement and instructional strategies that supported the use of evidence-based and high-leverage practices.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In this study, structural and thermal properties of dispersed carbon nanomaterials such as single-wall carbon nanotubes and graphene in water are investigated. Carbon nanostructures are dispersed in the fluid through surfactant and ultrasonication treatment. Structural studies of the samples are carried out by Raman spectroscopy which show that the dispersion process leads to the formation of two kind of nanofluids: nanostructured graphene based and single-wall carbon nanotubes ones. The first in the form of graphene dots. The thermal diffusivities of the samples are measured by thermal lens technique. Contrary to what is normally expected our nanofluids show a considerable reduction in thermal conductivity. The reduction is stronger for graphene dots than for the carbon nanotubes. This peculiar behavior of the thermal conductivity is attributed to the high concentration ratio of surfactant to dispersed particles, as well as, the formation of air layer or bubbles attached to the nanoparticles due to sonication process. To evaluate this hypothesis, simulation of the effective thermal conductivity based on Murshed model is conducted for spherical and cylindrical particles surrounded by air layer. The simulation shows an effective decrease in thermal conductivity, which corroborates with the experimental trend.

Full text
Abstract:
Ionic liquids have been suggested as new engineering fluids, specifically in the area of heat transfer, and as alternatives to current biphenyl and diphenyl oxide, alkylated aromatics and dimethyl polysiloxane oils, which degrade above 200 °C, posing some environmental problems. Addition of nanoparticles to produce stable dispersions/gels of ionic liquids has proved to increase the thermal conductivity of the base ionic liquid, potentially contributing to better efficiency of heat transfer fluids. It is the purpose of this paper to analyze the prediction and estimation of the thermal conductivity of ionic liquids and IoNanofluids as a function of temperature, using the molecular theory of Bridgman and estimation methods previously developed for the base fluid. In addition, we consider methods that emphasize the importance of the interfacial area IL-NM in modelling the thermal conductivity enhancement. Results obtained show that it is not currently possible to predict or estimate the thermal conductivity of ionic liquids with an uncertainty commensurate with the best experimental values. The models of Maxwell and Hamilton are not capable of estimating the thermal conductivity enhancement of IoNanofluids, and it is clear that the Murshed, Leong and Yang model is not practical, if no additional information, either using imaging techniques at nanoscale or molecular dynamics simulations, is available.

A language X⊂A* is called factorizing if there exists a language Y⊂A* such that XY = A* This work was partially supported by ESPRIT-EBRA project ASMICS contact 6317 and project 40% MURST “Algoritmi, Modelli di Calcolo e Strutture Informative”. and the product is unambiguous. First we give a combinatorial characterization of factorizing languages. Further we prove that it is decidable whether a regular language X is factorizing and we construct an automaton recognizing the corresponding language Y. For finite languages we show that it suffices to consider words of bounded length. A complete characterization of factorizing languages with three words and explicit regular expression for the corresponding language Y are also given. Finally we prove a more general result stating that, given two regular languages X and T, it is decidable whether there exists a language Y such that XY=T and the product is unambiguous.

Abstract:
Loanwords are often found in the works of the great Kazakh poet Abai. Abai, uses such words more, especially in words of edification. The thinker, who has a good command of the Turkic-Chagatai written language, uses Arabic-Persian borrowings in his works in a version close to the original, as in a book style. Therefore, borrowed words from Eastern languages are much more common in Abai than Russianisms. Words borrowed from the Russian language are few, and many of them occur in a form adapted to the Kazakh spoken language, as in the written language of the late XIX century. Since the poet often used Russianisms for stylistic purposes, he tried to give his spelling the form of the language of the people. However, in all collections of Abai's works published in Soviet times and published at the present time, some words from the Russian language are presented in the same version as in the original language. Note that Abai's works in the Mursei t manuscript of 1907 and in the collection of Arabic writing of 1909 of the St. Petersburg Publishing House are not written as in Russian, but adapted to the law of pronunciation of the Kazakh language. The article analyzes the spelling of Russianisms in Abai's works based on the materials of the original manuscripts.

Full text
Abstract:
Organic soils that had been drained in order to obtain fertile agricultural land underwent changes leading to the formation of mursh (also known as moorsh). The mursh-forming process is a generic soil process that occurs in drained (artificially or naturally) organic soils, and leads to the changes in soil morphology, soil physical properties (including water retention capability), physicochemical properties, and chemical and biological properties. The aim of the paper is to present scientific knowledge on mursh soils, especially those that are not available to the wider audience. We firstly reviewed scientific literature on the mursh (moorsh) forming process of drained organic soils used for agriculture. We described the specific character of organic soils, differences between mursh and peat, the origin of the mursh-forming process, and the classification of organic soils (Histosols). Additionally, we described the changes in organic matter, such as the loss of soil carbon, increase of availability of plant nutrients, and leaching of biogens to groundwater. We revealed that the mineral matter in organic soils can be an indicator for distinguishing various types of murshes. We have highlighted the current gaps in the research that need to be filled in. The mursh-forming process is inherently related to the mineralization of soil organic matter and leads to a reduction of organic carbon in soil. Mursh has many unfavorable properties with regards to agriculture and environmental management. These properties are mainly related to decreased water storage capacity, which significantly limits the hydrological function of organic soils. The use of drained organic soils is a trade-off between environmental quality and agricultural production.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Objectives Bone fracture healing is regulated by a series of complex physicochemical and biochemical processes. One of these processes is bone mineralization, which is vital for normal bone development. Phosphatase, orphan 1 (PHOSPHO1), a skeletal tissue-specific phosphatase, has been shown to be involved in the mineralization of the extracellular matrix and to maintain the structural integrity of bone. In this study, we examined how PHOSPHO1 deficiency might affect the healing and quality of fracture callus in mice. Methods Tibial fractures were created and then stabilized in control wild-type (WT) and Phospho1-/- mice (n = 16 for each group; mixed gender, each group carrying equal number of male and female mice) at eight weeks of age. Fractures were allowed to heal for four weeks and then the mice were euthanized and their tibias analyzed using radiographs, micro-CT (μCT), histology, histomorphometry and three-point bending tests. Results The μCT and radiographic analyses revealed a mild reduction of bone volume in Phospho1-/- callus, although it was not statistically significant. An increase in trabecular number and a decrease in trabecular thickness and separation were observed in Phospho1-/- callus in comparison with the WT callus. Histomorphometric analyses showed that there was a marked increase of osteoid volume over bone volume in the Phospho1-/- callus. The three-point bending test showed that Phospho1-/- fractured bone had more of an elastic characteristic than the WT bone. Conclusion Our work suggests that PHOSPHO1 plays an integral role during bone fracture repair and may be a therapeutic target to improve the fracture healing process. Cite this article: M. W. Abstract:
This theme discusses the exegetical study of contextual evangelism in 1 Corinthians 9: 19-23. Contextual evangelism has always been an interesting topic in discussions of Missiology and Ecclesiology. Although sometimes controversy, contextual evangelism is still one of the effective methods of preaching the gospel to the neglected tribes. The preaching of the cross-cultural gospel was one of the points Paul talked about with the church in the city of Corinth. The Apostle Paul said that preaching the gospel was a must for him (1 Corinthians 9:16). And in chapters 9: 19-23 the apostle Paul tells how the method or method he used to preach the gospel to those who are culturally different from himself. Gospel preaching is a mandate or the Great Commission given by the Lord Jesus to believers, and must be preached to all tribes and languages. In preaching the Gospel, Paul sets an example that is a strategy in contextual evangelism. The Apostle Paul willingly devoted himself "I made myself a servant, 1 Corinthians 9:19." Paul also adjusted to be able to understand those of different cultures "by becoming like". So you can win as much as possible. As well as a strong vision to win as many people as possible for Christ, so that they become saved. Paul understood the mandate given, to make Jews and non-Jews to be mursed Christ. Challenges and obstacles in preaching Inil are always there, but understanding methods based on God's word is the choice to get rid of these obstacles.

Abstract:
SummaryAims — To investigate in persons with mental disorders 1) the patterns of clinical course and their frequencies, 2) the impact of clinical course on two social dimensions of outcome, such as disability and quality of life. Methods — Study conducted with a longitudinal design in the “real world” of community mental health services. Clinical course was retrospectively assessed by using an instrument developed by our group, taking into account previous literature in this area; disability and quality of life were measured, respectively, with the WHO—Disability Assessment Schedule and the Lancashire Quality of Life Profile. Results — In patients with non affective psychosis, continuous and episodic course showed the same tendency to occur, whereas in subjects with affective disorders (either psychotic or neurotic) episodic course was more frequent. Continuous course was associated with higher levels of disability and lower quality of life in psychotic patients, while a poorer quality of life in some areas was associated with episodic course in patients with non psychotic disorders. Conclusions — The impact of clinical course on social disability and quality of life is different depending upon the specific diagnostic category. This suggests that specific and individualised interventions should be provided in order to prevent the negative impact of clinical course on life conditions of persons with mental disorders.Declaration of Interestthe study has been supported by a Grant from MURST 60% to Prof. Mirella Ruggeri and Fondi 1% per la Ricerca Sanitaria Finalizzata 2001 Ministry of Health, to Professor M. Abstract:
Criminal law regulations must be in accordance with the justice system. The justice system in Indonesia is made so that there is justice for the community. One of the existing laws is criminal law. the rules made in criminal law have a purpose that can provide order, a sense of security and sanctions for the perpetrators. The purpose of the existence of the rule of criminal law is to correct the perpetrator and has the aim of a deterrent effect for people who commit crimes or violations. The criminal justice system also tends to be offender oriented, where victimology as a study must aim that the victim is given the rationale that the settlement of cases outside the court is necessary. As for example, namely the settlement of criminal cases with the concept of restorative justice (restorative justice). The concept of a restorative justice approach is an approach that provides justice and balance for fair victims and perpetrators
