Pendant cinq décennies Claudie Marcel-Dubois et Maguy Andral, figures incontournables de l’ethnomusicologie au Musée des Arts et Traditions populaires, collectent un matériel d’étude d’une grande richesse et d’une grande diversité, abordant les pratiques musicales, la facture et l’organologie sur la presque totalité du territoire métropolitain français et dans certaines terres d’outre-mer. À la veille de redéployer ses collections à Marseille, le Musée des Arts et Traditions populaires (devenu MuCEM en 2005) lance une vaste opération de sauvegarde des archives. L’article apporte un éclairage particulier sur les archives ethnomusicologiques qui tiennent, dans cet ensemble, une place éminente. Dans le cadre d’un partenariat entre les Archives nationales, une équipe du IIAC (laboratoire d’anthropologie CNRS-EHESS) et MuCEM, la numérisation des archives écrites, des photographies et des enregistrements sonores, est en voie d’achèvement, prochainement accessibles sur Internet. L’éventail des possibilités d’interrogation et d’exploitation qu’ouvrira la dématérialisation d’un fonds sans équivalent pour l’ethnomusicologie en France est très vaste.

Il y a près de vingt-cinq ans, peu après la mise sur le marché des trithérapies, de nouvelles formes de mémoire émergeaient en réponse aux pertes humaines et culturelles causées par l’épidémie du VIH/sida. Entre 2002 et 2005, deux anthropologues mènent pour le compte du musée national des Arts et traditions populaires une enquête-collecte sur l’histoire et les mémoires du sida en France, en Europe et en Méditerranée en rassemblant plus de 12 000 artefacts (documentation, matériel de prévention, objets utilisés lors de manifestations, etc.), auprès de nombreuses associations, mais aussi de militants. La fin de la collecte correspond au moment où le musée parisien ferme ses portes, les collections sont alors transférées au musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée (Mucem), inauguré en 2013. L’article propose un parcours du processus de muséalisation de deux robes, aujourd’hui conservées au Mucem, et ayant appartenu à des Sœurs de la Perpétuelle indulgence, mouvement militant engagé dans la lutte contre le VIH/sida. Qu’est-ce qu’un objet militant gagne, et perd, en entrant au musée ? Que deviennent les données coproduites sur les terrains de la collecte par les anthropologues et leurs partenaires et censées documenter le contexte d’utilisation des objets ethnographiques ? Qu’est-ce qui se produit lorsqu’une Sœur d’aujourd’hui demande au musée d’accéder aux objets d’une Sœur d’hier et quel type de savoir, de documentation, ou quels nouveaux objets la première peut-elle contribuer à apporter ?

El Museo de Artes y Tradiciones Populares de París fue su creación más lograda, y se convirtió a partir de su inauguración en los años setenta en una referente mundial de la museografía. Cerrado en los dos mil, sus colecciones fueron transferidas a Marsella. Marsylia jest drugim do wielkości miastem Francji liczącym blisko milion mieszkańców. W roku 2013 pełniła funkcję gospodarza Europejskiej Stolicy Kultury. W ramach przygotowań do tego wydarzenia została przeprowadzona kompleksowa rewitalizacja Vieux Port pod kierunkiem pracowni Normana Fostera, architekta krajobrazu Michel Desvigne oraz lokalnych urbanistów i planistów . Prace prowadzone były prawie trzy lata. W wyniku tego procesu miasto zyskało nową przestrzeń publiczną dostępną dla pieszych, przeprojektowano układy komunikacyjne, a na potrzeby stolicy kultury wzniesiono budynki użyteczności publicznej, począwszy od muzeów, a kończąc na lustrzanym zadaszeniu Vieux Port Pavilion. Nową ikoną współczesnej architektury tego miasta został budynek MuCEM – Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée będący przykładem kształtowania współczesnej architektury wpisującej się bezbłędnie w kontekst otoczenia.

(English): In the bande dessinée Alger–Marseille: allers-retours, Algerian artist Nawel Louerrad and her French counterpart Benoît Guillaume recount their respective trips to Marseille and Algiers. Commissioned by Musée des civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée(MuCEM), their artistic project functions as a renewed museography aiming to foster a decentred gaze and improve Franco-Algerian relations. In this context, this article questions the nature of the exchanges generated by such a postcolonial museum project. Even if the two graphic contributions offer geo-poetic and artistic visions irreconcilable at first, I find that the album promotes an ethic of horizontality; it transforms itself into a space of cohabitation, of sharing even. The artists’ residencies across the Mediterranean, and the ensuing graphic production, promote a new artistic and cultural dynamic between Algeria and France.

Porté par le Lahic (Cnrs/Éhéss) et le ministère de la Culture dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec la Bnf, le Mucem, le Crbc..., financé par l’Agence nationale de la recherche, le programme Bérose (Base d’études et de recherches sur l’organisation des savoirs ethnographiques) a pour but de produire une généalogie fine de l’ethnographie européenne sur une période allant de la Révolution française à la Seconde Guerre mondiale. La base de données qui en est issue (www.berose.fr) est un lieu de mutualisation des données et des outils documentaires recueillis par les chercheurs (revues, archives, correspondances…) et un lieu de publication des résultats de la recherche qui viennent contextualiser ces sources numérisées. Complémentaire de Bérose, Archivethno est une base de données issue du programme de recherche du Garae-Ethnopôle (Carcassonne) sur les sources et genèses de l’ethnologie de la France, dans le cadre d’une collaboration entre le Lahic et la mission à l’Ethnologie (ministère de la Culture). Elle a pour vocation de recenser les fonds d’archives, qualifiés aujourd’hui d’ethnographiques et conservés dans les collections publiques nationales.

Abstract Recent outbursts of activist interventions in museums have put a spotlight on the difficult relationship of cultural spaces with activism as they aspire to be forums, sites for civil, social, and cultural participation (Black, 2005; Byrne, 2018; Janes & Sandell, 2019; Pegno, 2021). On the one hand, museums want to be engaged and relevant, taking part in social dialogue as “agents of change” (Mouffe, 2016; Sandell, 2003). On the other, they often have complex relationships with the activists themselves, especially in the framework of participatory practices (Coffee, 2008; Lorente, 2015). This article focuses on the process of co-creation of an exhibition about the social history of AIDS at the Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean (the Mucem) in Marseille, France, and explores how this participatory project involving activists can help us better understand the challenges of museum activism. The core question this article addresses is: how did activists experience the co-creation participatory process, and what can the museum learn from it to inform their practice of museum activism?

The article analyses the contemporary transformations of the relationships between anthropology and museums in France in the wake of the opening in recent years of the Musée du quai Branly, the Musée des Civilisations de l'Europe et de la Méditerranée (MUCEM), and the reopening in 2015 of the Musée de l’Homme. The relationship between museums and anthropology, historically tighter in France than in other national contexts, explains the intensity of reactions triggered by these transformations. Retracing the historical transformations of ethnographic museums, and especially the ideal of the ‘museum-laboratory’, shows the enduring role of the naturalist, encyclopedic paradigm. The exhaustion of the natural history paradigm, in the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris as in ethnographic museums, has produced a change in the role of museums, with a shift from a museological discourse under the spell of science and rationalism to a more aesthetic and emotional approach. However, the new Musée de l'Homme embodies a revival of the naturalist and evolutionist paradigm. These new museums, which can be defined as 'post-ethnographic', have avoided a critical reflexive confrontation with history and colonial legacies. Meanwhile French anthropology is now facing the challenge of reinventing itself as a ‘post-museum anthropology’.

Murine chemerin is C-terminally processed to the bioactive isoforms, muChem-156 and muChem-155, among which the longer variant protects from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the role of muChem-155 is mostly unknown. Here, we aimed to compare the effects of these isoforms on the proliferation, migration and the secretome of the human hepatocyte cell lines HepG2 and Huh7 and the murine Hepa1-6 cell line. Therefore, huChem-157 and -156 were overexpressed in the human cells, and the respective murine variants, muChem-156 and -155, in the murine hepatocytes. Both chemerin isoforms produced by HepG2 and Hepa1-6 cells activated the chemerin receptors chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1) and G protein-coupled receptor 1 (GPR1). HuChem-157 was the active isoform in the Huh7 cell culture medium. The potencies of muChem-155 and muChem-156 to activate human GPR1 and mouse CMKLR1 were equivalent. Human CMKLR1 was most responsive to muChem-156. Chemerin variants showed no effect on cell viability and proliferation. Activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinases Erk1/2 and p38, and protein levels of the epithelial–mesenchymal transition marker, E-cadherin, were not regulated by the chemerin variants. Migration was reduced in HepG2 and Hepa1-6 cells by the longer isoform. Protective effects of chemerin in HCC include the modulation of cytokines but huChem-156 and huChem-157 overexpression did not change IL-8, CCL20 or osteopontin in the hepatocytes. The conditioned medium of the transfected hepatocytes failed to alter these soluble factors in the cell culture medium of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Interestingly, the cell culture medium of Huh7 cells producing the inactive variant huChem-155 reduced CCL2 and IL-8 in PBMCs. To sum up, huChem-157 and muChem-156 inhibited hepatocyte migration and may protect from HCC metastasis. HuChem-155 was the only human isoform exerting anti-inflammatory effects on immune cells.

Celem artykułu jest badanie głównych form oraz zmian w rozwoju tematyki antemurale christianitatis w latopisach ukraińskich od końca XVII do połowy XVIII w. Główne zadanie badawcze to odpowiedź na pytanie, dlaczego i w jaki sposób kronikarze sięgali po retorykę przedmurza. Artykuł składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza dotyczy tematu „ukraińskiego przedmurza”, którego pojawienie się było rezultatem obecności tego motywu w europejskiej, a zwłaszcza polsko-litewskiej literaturze i sztuce omawianego okresu. Druga część jest poświęcona opisowi ufortyfikowanych miast oraz klasztorów, które były ukazywane jako symbole przedmurza w kronikach ukraińskich (Bracław, Kamieniec Podolski, Lwów, Humań, Międzygórski Monaster Przemienienia Pańskiego oraz Monaster Zaśnięcia Matki Bożej w Trechtymirowie).

W artykule scharakteryzowano zawód pracownika penitencjarnego. Rozważania zawarte w tekście dotyczą elementarnych czynników kwalifikujących do zawodu, czyli odnoszą się nie tylko do wymogów formalnych, ale także do predyspozycji osobowych personelu więziennego. Specyfika pracy w zakładzie karnym wymaga prawdziwie moralnych postaw od osób w nim zatrudnionych, zgodnych z oczekiwaniami nie tylko przełożonych, ale także więźniów. To bowiem właśnie personel odpowiedzialny jest za prawidłową resocjalizację osób skazanych na karę pozbawienia wolności.

Artykuł prezentuje wizytę Wolfdiedricha Eichlera w Państwowym Muzem Zoologicznym w Warszawie. W 1939 r. warszawskie muzeum zostało okradzione przez Niemców. Instytucja ta szybko stała się ważnym ośrodkiem ruchu oporu. W 1940 r. Wolfdietrich Eichler, entomolog i parazytolog został powołany do Wehrmachtu i wysłany do Warszawy. Dzięki rekomendacji Waltera Arndta, zoologa i antyhitlerowca, Eichler odwiedził warszawskie muzeum i nawiązał współpracę z Tadeuszem Jaczewskim. Artykuł przypomina postać Wolfdiedricha Eichlera – wybitnego zoologa i demokraty i jego długoletnią współpracę z polskimi zoologami.

A inclusão de novas práticas pedagógicas que incluam as linguagens das tecnologias da informação e da comunicação é uma necessidade emergente na contemporaneidade. A transformação das formas de aprender estão exigindo que professores também mudem a forma de ensinar. Nesse contexto, o presente artigo analisa estratégias usadas por seis professores brasileiros na plataforma de rede social TikTok. Como metodologia, usamos a VDA (Video Data Analysis) descrita por Nassauer e Legewie (2021). Os resultados apontaram inovações e um grande engajamento da audiência nos conteúdos que usaram estratégias diferentes das tradicionais em sala de aula.

Este artículo describe el planteamiento curatorial de la exposición autoral de Jaime Andrade Moscoso, uno de los escultores, muralistas y dibujantes más importantes para el arte ecuatoriano del siglo XX. Andrade fue además docente de la Escuela de Bellas Artes, conceptualizador, gestor y primer decano de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad Central y cocreador de su Centro de Arte. Pensaba que es más importante aprender a ver que a hacer y que esto se lograba a través de la experimentación con múltiples materiales y con el espacio presente en la composición. Transitó por las corrientes del indigenismo, ancestralismo, abstraccionismo, cinetismo, entre otras, sin quedarse en ninguna, por lo cual su obra es una ventana para observar varias derivas del arte moderno.
