Abstract:

The curriculum is a set of educational guidelines, but has not responded to the moral formation in the curriculum components. The formation of human moral quality as a basic element of personality needs to be restructured spiritual competence in the curriculum. Jackson and Geckeis in their idea of a curriculum have not included the measurement of spiritual competence. This fact can be found in schools. This paper aims to describe the arrangement of the curriculum in the moral formation of students. Quantitative data is presented in the form of tabulations and graphs to measure curriculum competence. Based on the study and analysis found three main topics. First, the urgency of structuring the curriculum, second, morals in the discussion, third, forming the morale of students, and fourth, strategic steps for structuring the curriculum and integrated solutions. This study is considered new because it uses curriculum structuring in responding to student morale. These findings can be used to strengthen the relevance of the curriculum to the moral decadence of the global era. A curriculum that is not well organized will produce graduates with low affective abilities.

However, the influence of technological advances in addition to having a positive impact also has a negative impact on adolescent morale. There is a moral decline in adolescents, such as being involved in drug use, fighting, fraud, theft, free sex, intolerance, and so on. This is very concerning because adolescents are the next generation of the nation's struggle. This phenomenon is quite unsettling for the community and must receive attention and cooperation from parents and schools as well as the community. The purpose of this paper is to determine the efforts to develop values/morals in adolescents through the family as the smallest unit in society in socializing the values and norms that apply in society. A harmonious family, mutual respect, openness, positive communication, and there is love, so the socialization process of values and norms will be conveyed to children/adolescents well. Abstract:
Daie, who has credibility in communicating and utilizing YouTube as a medium of da'wah delivery is seen to raise students' moral awareness. Nevertheless, there is a question of the aspect of Daie's credibility and attractiveness in increasing the morality of university students. A survey of 351 students from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) was conducted. Credibility and attractive instruments were taken from the TEARS model by Shimp (2000). Moral instruments are modified from Prihatini, Mardapi, and Sutrisno (2013) to measure the morals of university students from moral dimensions to Allah and the Prophet, morals to themselves and the surrounding areas, and morals to the environment. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between Daie's credibility towards the awareness of moral changes in Allah and the Prophet with the value of r=0.295, morals towards themselves and the surrounding areas with the value of r=0.292, and morality towards the environment with r=0.315. The findings also showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the attractiveness of preachers towards the awareness of moral changes in Allah and the Prophet with the value of r=0.252, morals towards themselves and the surrounding areas with the value of r=0.267, and morality towards the environment with r=0.138. In conclusion, a Daie YouTube who is credible and attractive as a preacher can increase the tendency of the younger generation to gain knowledge related to religion and encourage younger generations especially university students to strive in improving their morality. Abstract:
The recent phenomenon of moral decline has become a concern for some of our people. This is marked by the many immoral behaviors that are widely reported by national television. Education is one of the tools in instilling morals in children. Both education in the family environment and formal education at school. Citizenship Education (PKn) is one of the subjects that aims to encourage morale in students. Naum in practice often learning PKn only teaches knowledge only without any more emphasis on aspects of attitude and skills. Knowledge is important because knowledge will be the basis for action. But that is not enough to instill moral in students. Strengthening is needed especially in the aspect of attitude and of course it must be practiced in everyday life so that because morals are not enough just for material knowledge but also a habit of behaving in life.

Abstract:
By utilizing manipulative tactics, such as persuasion techniques and strategies through social media sites, moral entrepreneurs can maintain and/or increase their scope of influence. In this article, we propose another tactic utilized by moral entrepreneurs, a concept we refer to as shifting morals. The complexity of moral entrepreneurs’ life experiences provides them with an endless set of social and moral norms that they can use to tweak their own ideals to encompass other moral framing networks to gain more followers and thus increase their influence. We examine theoretical literature, while also providing examples that resulted from content analysis from media websites to illustrate our proposed concept of shifting morals. We conclude that the shifting morals tactic is another tool moral entrepreneurs use to increase their influence in society to enact social change.

Abstract:
This study aims to determine the effect of coercive power and the legitimacy of the tax authority on the morale of taxpayers to prevent tax evasion. This study conducts a moderation test to determine the role of tax morale. This study uses a survey approach by distributing 100 questionnaires and analyses them using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results prove that the morale of taxpayers is a force to prevent tax evasion. A moderation test proves that tax morals can weaken the influence of government coercion on tax avoidance. Tax morale strengthens the influence of legitimate power on tax avoidance, although the government's legitimate power does not directly affect tax avoidance. This study explains that taxpayer fraud can be anticipated by enforcing government power through sanctions and audits accompanied by moral strength. The moral strength of taxpayers is a factor that plays a role in controlling government behaviour.

Abstract:
The crisis of neoliberal capitalism and liberal democracy has a genesis stretching back a decade or longer. Why is it that, until now, socialists and those on the left have struggled to articulate a coherent counter-hegemonic discourse? We argue that at least part of this failing comes from an ambivalence about making the moral argument for socialist transformation. Both a moral critique of the existing order and the articulation of socialist future grounded in a distinct moral order are necessary components of transformative change: they are able to fix substantive policy initiatives - whether a green new deal, universal basic income or the nationalisation of essential services - within a broader vision of how society and the state should function, and on whose behalf. Morals are important in the functioning of any socio-economic order - communicating meaning, providing rationale and generating expectations regarding the practices of ourselves and others. They construct and stabilise contingent social orders and hierarchies. The current social contract is characterised by increased individualisation, responsibilisation and the moral imperative towards competition and consumption. Morals are what allow people to tolerate current conditions. But as contemporary capitalism becomes increasingly uninhabitable, a moral critique - that is the ability to both unpick what stabilises the current conjuncture and offer an alternative - becomes all the more urgent. We look at a number of initiatives and movements, most but not all lodged in the anti-austerity protests of the past decade, for examples of such political strategies. In such movements we see how material criticisms of capitalism are grounded in concrete struggles for justice and emancipation but framed in a counter-hegemonic moral framework that explicitly challenges the status quo.

Abstract:
Some of Jonathan Dancy's strongest arguments in support of moral particularism depend crucially upon the distinction he draws between three different kinds of relevance relations -- favourers, intensifiers and enablers. In this paper I generalize certain features of Dancy's account of the different roles that premises can play in moral argumentation. Most significantly, I argue that both intensifiers and enablers play parallel roles within different kinds of (more primitive) supplementation relations. This matters since it is common for people to accept Dancy's account of intensifiers while remaining suspicious of his notion of enablers. But this asymmetrical response, I argue, cannot be justified. This account also generates a simpler and more elegant argument in support of moral particularism.

Abstract:
Literary works have the potential to enhance a reader’s internal reservoir of life values without being dismissive. Contemporary Indonesian literature specifically imparts moral messages to its readers. This study aims to explain the moral dimensions present in this literature, utilizing descriptive qualitative methods. Purposive sampling was employed for data collection, covering words, sentences, and discourse representing morals from contemporary Indonesian literary works. This research relies on a literature study for data collection, employing the dialectical method for analysis by oscillating between literary texts and social reality. The findings reveal diverse moral dimensions within contemporary Indonesian literature, each contributing significantly to enriching the reader’s inner repertoire. These moral dimensions include (1) transcendental: aligning oneself to God, (2) struggle against evil (jihad fii sabiilillah), (3) nationalism, (4) getting closer to God (transcendental value), (5) gender equality as respect for women, (6) upholding the dignity of women, (7) remembering God (dhikr), (8) low morale leading to corruption, (9) upholding religion above worldliness, and (10) religious idea: life is a pseudo-game. The study’s implications suggest that contemporary Indonesian literature serves as a significant source for fostering moral values, contributing to readers’ inner development by highlighting themes such as spirituality, societal responsibility, and ethical conduct. This insight can inform educational and cultural initiatives to promote moral awareness and consciousness.

Abstract:
This paper presents an ethnographically sensitive account of a family of modal constructions in Sakapultek, a Mayan language spoken in highland Guatemala. The constructions in question share many characteristics with those that have been analyzed as ironic in English and are dubbed “moral irony,” due both to their similarities to irony in other languages and to their primary interactional function. The morphosyntactic composition and semiotic processes involved in moral irony are described and the proposed account of these semiotic properties makes use of Goffman’s distinction between author, animator and principal as dimensions of the speaker role. The indexical properties of moral irony are demonstrated and it is argued that they play a greater role in determining ironic meaning than speaker intentions. Using extended examples from naturally-occurring talk, the paper also demonstrates how irony functions in evaluative stance-taking in Sakapultek. Such examples illustrate both the relatively presupposing and entailing aspects of moral irony’s indexical meaning. Moral irony is argued to be modal in that it projects hypothetical or unreal possible worlds and ironic in that it indirectly and negatively evaluates the stances of an imagined principal. Finally, on the ethnographic level, moral irony is examined in light of what it reveals about Sakapultek notions of moral personhood.

Abstract:
This article explores the role of interplayer moral conversation in multiplayer games with three subquestions: how to design and use games for morality research, how advances in moral theory can inform game-based research into morals, and how game-based research can inform moral theory. A long tradition has investigated morals using games such as Ultimatum and Dictator; however, this research often omits interplayer moral dialogue. Further, when moral foundations theory is accounted for, analysis of these games seems to investigate a narrow range of moral reasoning. In this methodological critique, we draw upon data from gameplay of a simulation of climate change debate and find a wide range of moral foundations through analysis of dialogue. Our analysis suggests that in-game player dialogue is a source of rich moral deliberation and potential for using simulation games as grounds for discovering new moral foundations.

Abstract:
Introduction. The concept of “moral agent” and its boundaries are not currently clearly defined. Given the connection between moral agency and moral responsibility, it seems necessary to introduce a clear definition of “moral agent”, as well as to differentiate the types of moral agency. The hypothesis of this article is that although the notion of a moral agent in itself is rather limited, there are a number of “borderline” groups, the definition of the status of which needs to be clarified.Methodology and sources. The article provides an ethical and philosophical analysis of approaches to the definition of a moral agency, a comparative analysis of the concepts of a moral agent and a moral subject, as well as approaches to determining the moral statuses of various “borderline” groups in the context of the works of J. MacMurray, A. Taylor, I. Kant, M Rowlands, J. Searle and others. Results and discussion. The article presents an analysis of the definitions of a “moral agent”, highlights the key features that make it possible to speak of a moral agency as an independent moral concept, as well as determine the conditions for the onset of moral agency. To differentiate the types of moral agents, the article introduces the concept of “limited moral agent” to denote the special status of children and the mentally ill. Evidence is provided that people belonging to these categories may have the status of a moral agent, although not to the extent that this status initially implies. As part of the definition of artificial intelligence as a “quasi-moral agent”, the key features of AI in the framework of moral communication between AI and a person are identified.Conclusion. Based on the analysis, the article proposes a number of requirements for a moral agency. Based on these requirements, it is proposed to distinguish such types of moral agency as a limited moral agent, including children and the mentally ill, as well as a quasi-moral agent, which is an artificially created agent, including artificial intelligence.

Abstract:
Metodom analize istorijskih iskustava i savremenih dešavanja i indukcijom pojedinačnih stavova direktnih učesnika u oružanim sukobima skupljenih tokom godina, uz strukturnu analizu pojma borbenog morala, autor kroz argumentovanje neophodnosti prepoznavanja i vrednosno-moralnog, tj. „etičkog“ činioca borbenog morala kao važne determinante borbenog morala u procesu naučne sinteze pokazuje nužnu i neraskidivu vezu oba značenja pojma moral unutar vojnog etosa. Zanemarivanje uticaja kršenja moralnih normi na stanje borbenog morala predstavlja opasan redukcionizam koji može imati dalekosežne negativne implikacije po vojsku i društvo.

Abstract:
The investigation by the consistory of the Reformed Church of Montauban of an unmarried pregnancy and attempted abortion in the sixteenth century offers important insights into moral and social relationships within the early modern European community. Though the effect of the consistory's activities on the lives of those that it sought to discipline ought not be overestimated (intrusive as those activities might be by modern standards), a close reading of the narrative embedded in the consistorial records provides a valuable understanding of the Protestant church's role in reordering traditional attitudes and everyday behavior.

Abstract:
Most people think it is morally wrong to breach a contract. But sophisticated commercial parties, like large corporations, have no objection to breaching contracts and paying the price in damages when doing so is in their self-interest. The literature has ignored the profound legal, economic, and normative implications of that asymmetry between individuals’ and firms’ approaches to breach. To individuals, a contract is a promise that cannot be broken regardless of the financial stakes. For example, millions of homeowners refused to breach their mortgage contracts in the aftermath of the housing crisis even though doing so could have saved them tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. Their moral beliefs led homeowners to forgo opportunities for efficient breach that firms would have seized, thus exacerbating al-ready swelling wealth inequalities. This Article explains this phenomenon, identifies its consequences and examines strategies to address it. Neither ex post judicial interventions (such as adjusting the remedies for breach) nor traditional ex ante regulatory interventions (such as disclosure requirements) will effectively address the problem. Instead, the most promising approach is a novel solution based on the framework of choice architecture: requiring contracts to include an express term creating an option to exit the contract and pay a fee equivalent to expectation damages. An express exit term elevates an implicit legal option into an explicit contractual option, reframing the moral choice so individuals would perceive exiting the contract as a morally permissible performance of their promise rather than a morally forbidden breaking of it. The presence of that exit term thereby aligns individuals’ perceptions of their moral obligations under the contract with sophisticated firms’ approaches to breach. The Article concludes with new empirical evidence that demonstrates the practical impact of an exit clause. It presents the results of two experimental studies I performed that demonstrate the effectiveness of a mandatory exit clause in reducing the effects of the asymmetry between individuals and firms. Those results show that exit clauses could have substantial practical implications for the regulation of contracts in contexts like consumer and mortgage contracts.
