This research discusses the teachings of ethics and morals contained within the letters of Paul in the New Testament. The main focus of this study is to explore the ethical and moral values taught by Paul within the context of his letters and their relevance to modern society. Textual and contextual analysis methods are employed to identify the moral principles emphasized by Paul in various aspects of life, including interpersonal relationships, social responsibility, and personal integrity. Abstract:
This paper focuses on the teachings and admonitions regarding wisdom found in the sixth edition of Adam Smith’s Theory of Moral Sentiments (TMS). Following a mind-path marked by the seminal contributions of Glenn Morrow (1923), Donald Winch (1978), and Laurence Dickey (1986), the paper offers an interpretation of the higher moral standard (superior prudence) introduced by Smith in the last edition of TMS, as his response to the socio-economic and cultural changes that took place in Great Britain in the second half of the eighteenth century. Between the first and last editions of TMS the taste for luxury and conspicuous consumption became widespread and contagious both geographically and across ranks. Prudence and other-approbation, sufficient gatekeepers of moral conduct and character in the previous editions of TMS, became progressively less effective in keeping society away from moral deception and in regulating reputation and the distinction of ranks. The paper examines the introduction of superior prudence in the last edition of TMS as Smith’s vision of a dialectical process between external and internal approbation that is capable of transforming individual dependence on social praise into a dialogue between materialistic and moral concerns, which would lead to a progressively wiser, although conflictual, existence.

This article examines theologically the morals attitude in waiting for God’s coming at the and of time or what is called the parousia teaching, nomely the second presence of Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament it is known as the day of the Lord or what is referred to as the awaited coming of the Son of man, while in the New Testament it is better known as the second coming of Jesus Christ, that is what is called the parousia. Abstract:
The article deals with the main ideas of the political philosophy of Abu Abdallah Ibn al-Azraq al-Garnati (1427-1491), a well-known Muslim statesman, supreme judge of Granada, lawyer, diplomat, supporter of Arab Muslim peripatetism, a student of the outstanding thinker of the Muslim Middle Ages Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406). In the history of the political philosophy of the Muslim East, a number of major transformations in the development of the Arab Caliphate from the Medina state of the prophet to the Sultanate in the Abbasid period should be noted, which were reflected in the development of the theory of the Arab-Muslim state (caliphate). The main problem of the theory of the caliphate was connected with the question of the relationship between power and authority in the context of the moral foundations of the state. The creative heritage of Ibn al-Azraq is mainly known for his work in the genre of adab ("mirrors of princes") “Miracles on the way, or the Nature of dominion”. The treatise became a classic of the political philosophy of the Muslim Middle Ages, in which, under the influence of Aristotelian ideas, a special place was given to the moral foundations of power and the state, that is, ethics was considered as a political science. In the form of instructive parables, the rulers and heirs to the throne were explained the basics of state administration as part of their studies and education. His doctrine of the virtues can be viewed as ethical rationalism with a belief in the moral perfection of people in power and subjects of the state. Since morals are largely acquired and a person can control them, the task of purifying his own morals and curing them is entrusted to him. In addition, accordingly, it is possible and necessary to cultivate virtues in rulers, since the well-being of the state and the ummah depends on their morals. The moral foundations of power determine the strength of political authority.

Wayang wahyu grows and develops among Catholics as a proclamation of church teachings. Church teachings have moral values that need to be instilled in humans for character education. Dalang presents a reflection of a life that is full of moral messages through the drama of the Wayang wahyu so that the delivery of moral messages becomes familiar to the Javanese community. This study aims to reveal the moral values contained in Lakon Naaman Sang Senopati. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a value analysis approach. The results of this study can be concluded that the Wayang Wahyu performance is an effort by Catholics to bring their teachings closer to the Javanese community, especially Catholics. The performance of Naaman Sang Senopati contains moral values that are useful for building the character of Catholics. The result of this study is that this performance is full of values of religiosity, trust, self-surrender, nationalism, obedience, universality, and love. The puppet revelation performance of the play Naaman Sang Senopati implies a moral message, namely: religious, trust, self-surrender, nationalist, universal, obedient, and love. These values are in accordance with the morals that must be shown as Catholics. Because by implementing these values, peace and harmony between religious communities can be realized. Naaman’s attitude of respecting other people’s principles and not imposing the beliefs of his king is a reflection of the principles of Catholics in Indonesia, namely 100% Catholics and 100% Indonesians. Being 100% Catholic is manifesting the law of love; while 100% of Indonesia is creating harmony between religious communities, solidarity, working together, helping each other, and taking part in nation-building programs. These values are expected to form a national character full of morality.

Abstract:
This paper aims to find out the interpretation of the Quraish Shihab about the education of ahklak in the Al-Quran. This needs to be conveyed considering that lately, especially in Indonesia, there are many problems, one of which is an acute problem of morality and needs to be resolved in stages. Many of the criminal cases that have occurred lately are due partly to moral degradation. Indonesian people who are known as religious communities should be able to work together in grounding moral education in accordance with the teachings of the Al-Qur'an as explained by the Quraish Shihab in the Book of Tafsir Al-Misbah. Quraish Shihab, which has an interpretation of the Adabi Ijtima'i style, is expected to be able to provide insight into current moral education. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach. Islam wants the birth of a noble civilization that can provide broad benefits for all mankind. That is one of the goals of the Prophet Muhammad SAW to the face of this earth to perfect morals. Morals have a very important role in building a complete human civilization both physically and mentally. Quraish Shihab interpreted the QS. Al-Ahzab [33]: 21 that the verse is a form of threat to hypocrites, namely Muslims, but in their lives it does not reflect the very great and noble teachings of Islam. The point is that anyone who has embraced Islam should put forward morals in action. The glory of Islam is reflected in the morals of Rasulullah SAW, who should be able to be an example and guidance of Muslims in making mu'amalah both vertically and horizontally. That is why moral education needs to be trained from an early age, exemplified so that it can be an example and it needs the involvement of all parties in the application of moral education not only in the school environment, but in the community. It is hoped that this moral education will be able to provide solutions to the problems of moral degradation that have recently occurred in Indonesia.

Abstract:
Partial understanding of religious teachings often makes its adherents feel differences without common ground with adherents of other religions. This leads to an attitude of false acceptance and outright hatred towards adherents of other religions. When the holy scriptures are interpreted incorrectly, it is as if there is an absolute dichotomy between humans who have the same basic characteristics. For the purpose of eliminating this detrimental sense of difference, humans must reach maturity in religion. Every religious follower must keep away bad thoughts about other religions. The aim of studying aspects of cross-religious character in the Geguritan Krama Slam is to remind, since in the past, universal moral values have been emphasized in every religion. Its most obvious manifestation is seen in the sincere mutual respect between religious believers. Apart from being able to strengthen social cohesion, this can also convey the image that religion truly teaches noble values. This research is qualitative because it does not involve processing complicated numbers and measurements. The approach used is hermeneutics, with the aim of interpreting the contents of the text correctly. The results of this research are that in Geguritan Krama Slam, it is emphasized that universal moral teachings must be inherited continuously, there is a unified view across religions regarding moral character, moral teachings are the most valuable heritage, and religious teachings containing moral values must be maintained.

This very rapid technological development can trigger loopholes to do things that harm other people and things that are criminal. This moral degradation is very difficult if you only rely on certain theories. In Islam there are teachings of aqidah morals which are expected to be able to provide solutions to the problem of moral degradation.
