Abstract:
This study aimed to evaluate modern teaching methods applied by the staff at the University of Hail during the COVID-19 pandemic to identify the most important causes, needs, and barriers from their perspective. Also, the study aimed to reveal individual differences (gender, academic rank, or experience) of statistical significance in the staff’s degree of use. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used descriptive analysis on a sample of 164 faculty members. The researcher designed a five-axis questionnaire. The results indicated the importance of e-training when using modern teaching methods. Also, it was clear that the research sample uses MTM to some extent, and the use of modern teaching strategies was found to be moderate. Gender, academic rank, years of experience in the field of university education, and academic specialization did not affect training needs. In addition, the results showed that the most important reason for using MTM during the COVID-19 pandemic was “Mastery of how to use it.”

Abstract:
Purpose. This study deals with the research and teaching achievements of faculty members as affected by demographics. The topic of age of employment, as well as age of retirement, is one that occupies modern society, both in research and with regard to the significance of age for the labor world in practice. Gender-related differences regarding this issue have occupied the academic literature as well. In the current study we examined the impact of age and gender on research output (by number of citations) and satisfaction with teaching (by student survey scores). Method. Empirical data on article citations and teaching surveys were gathered for 315 senior faculty members at Ariel University, Israel. Structural equation modeling was used to test the model’s goodness-of-fit. Findings indicate that the higher the age of the faculty members the greater their output. The opposite is true of teaching surveys. Age appears to contribute to the number of article citations and less so to students’ satisfaction with the teaching of senior faculty members. A sensitivity analysis was also performed. Men were found to have a higher number of citations than women. Results and discussion. The research findings have practical meaning. The achievements of academic faculty members are undoubtedly age-dependent: seniority and experience contribute to research (number of citations) and do not contribute to teaching as measured by student satisfaction. The question is whether in the modern era, when quality of life and life expectancy are on the rise, there is room to breach the employment age limitations in academia, particularly for high academic producers, in light of their achievements.

Abstract:
The world is constantly changing and the roles of men and women in modern society are changing accordingly. In recent years, public interest in gender issues has significantly increased. Among the remarkable achievements of the indigenous science is the study of the phenomenon of gender identification, the influence of gender stereotypes and gender polarization in preschool age. In a "gendered" society, the appropriate gender-role identification of children is carried out, which determines the specifics of primary gender socialization, becomes an internal regulator of social activity of an individual. Gender, established at birth, cannot mechanically determine the type of gender identification, that is why its formation is a complex process of choosing and mastering one of the two patterns of gender behavior. The topic of our study is relevant because of the importance of the period of gender and age identification of the adolescent, whose clear and irreversible idea of his gender is being formed, as well as understanding and acceptance of the roles of sexes, recognition of the irreversibility of gender as a major component of self-awareness and self-identification.Child's gender perceptions are actively formed in preschool age and are an integral component of person's gender identity. Child masters the social norms, patterns of behavior and cultural values of his/her nation. The gender approach to the upbringing of the preschool children should be focused on the formation and establishment of equal, gender-independent opportunities for self-realization of the individual. However as practical experience shows, the gender component and its methodological data are insufficient in terms of the content of preschool education. In preschool institutions, gender education takes place spontaneously, educators use the traditional approach to forming child's self-esteem and his stereotypes of self-perception only on the basis of gender, so it is important today to pay more attention to gender education and socialization.Experimentally it has been investigated the peculiarities of gender and age identification of the preschoolers of the preschool institution of a combined type #9 of the city of Chernivtsi. According to the research, the greater part of children of 5-6 years old are aware of their belonging to the male or female sex, having the already formed gender identity. Gender perceptions of preschool children are gender-appropriate: girls’ - feminine, and boys’ – masculine. In addition, they are stereotypical: boys have instrumental role, girls-expressive.We believe that gender approach is the theoretical basis for effective learning, education and socialization, and a priority part of modern education.

Klochko, T., and A. Yashchenko. "Feminitives in teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language." Teaching languages at higher institutions, no. 39 (December 30, 2021): 57–70. http://dx.doi.org/10.26565/2073-4379-2021-39-04.

Full text
Abstract:
The article is devoted to the development of a methodology for teaching feminitives of the Ukrainian language to foreign students. The authors analyze the structure of modern feminitives in the Ukrainian language, select units for training, and propose exercises to consolidate knowledge of the learned material. The problem of the formation of feminitives in different languages is relevant in connection with democratic social processes. Another area of study of feminitives concerns their structural features. The problem of the formation and functioning of feminitives is closely related to the phenomenon of linguistic political correctness in the use of gender-labeled words (especially the names of professions), the problems of word formation, and intercultural differences in the use of gender-neutral and gender-labeled words. The relevance of the work is due to the lack of development of a methodology for teaching feminitives in Ukrainian as a foreign language. Vocabulary plays an essential role in teaching the Ukrainian language to foreign students. The systematic accumulation and expansion of vocabulary are one of the main tasks during language learning. The general derivational tendencies of the development of feminitives of the Ukrainian language are: increasing the productivity of the suffixal way of the derivation of feminitives; updating and expanding the word-formation base of feminitives, especially through numerous borrowings; archaization of some derivational types of feminitives; activation of previously unproductive types; the spread of feminitives in the professional sphere to designate women by position, specialization, by type, place of activity, success, achievements, etc. Modern changes in society necessitate a more attentive approach to the selection and presentation of vocabulary and educational texts to a foreign audience. The language is constantly changing, which means that constant updating of educational materials is required as an important tool in the language environment for foreigners to familiarize themselves with the picture of the world of its native speakers. In this sense, the role of the authors of manuals and teachers of Ukrainian as a foreign language has been increasing, as they introduce foreigners to the modern Ukrainian picture of the world through the prism of their own perception.

Abstract:
The article notes that there is a problem of gender imbalance in the professional sphere everywhere, including in teacher training. At the same time, it is indicated that there are different indicators of the effectiveness of female teachers and male teachers. In addition, there are different ideas about the expectations of the profession for men and women. Based on this, the purpose of the article is to determine the value-semantic foundations of the pedagogical activity of a modern teacher (men and women). For this purpose, a questionnaire was used to identify the most important value orientations associated with the target objects - the child, the educational environment and the teaching profession. It is established that there are differences in the value-semantic bases of activity: female teachers are more focused on interaction with colleagues, parents and other specialists; they strive to apply various methods in the learning process, while male teachers are more interested in organizing the learning process and managing it.

<div>This qualitative study analyzes the involvement of female perpetrators of extreme violence acts and suicide bombings against the modern state as a symbol of their religious enemies. The topic is crucial as it shows the meaningful reasons for female militancy, where women are seen to exceed their gender norms. It is not because they take their own lives but also to bring their children to embrace death in the process of religious-based violent extremism. This article opposes the idea of gender in binary opposition as female and male, but rather see it as a range of gender spectrum. The understanding of the main symbolic structures here is crucial as it is capable of dismantling aspects that temporarily limit gender roles. At the same time, what they are doing is constructing new ideas that “God do not see you in someone appearance” included their gender, but rather their “action”. It is their way to find justification to support extreme violence, although it is against religious teaching.</div>

Abstract:
Purpose of the study: The article discusses the national-cultural characteristics of the Chinese gender culture and methods of its implementation in linguistic units: words, phraseological units, euphemisms, proverbs, and sayings. This research also examines the nominative system of the Chinese language, the lexicon, as well as what ratings are attributed to men and women and in what semantic areas they are most clearly expressed. Methodology: In order to describe the internal form of gender vocabulary, the authors used the following methods common for studies: description, semantic definition, classification, and linguistic interpretation, and the statistical method (quantitative calculations). The etymological approach used to identify primary sources of gender vocabulary. Main Findings: A study of linguistic facts shows that the gender stereotypes of Chinese culture possess not only general cultural, but also general linguistic properties, which are fixed by different kinds of language units. Gender stereotypes in modern Chinese are objectified by an extensive and well-structured lexical and phraseological field, proverbs and sayings, case-texts (discourse) and other language units, which indicates its communicative relevance to Chinese linguistic consciousness. Applications/Implications of the study: The results of the study can be used in the further researches of gender stereotypes and its linguistic objectification in both related and genetically distant languages, in various types of discourse. The results of the work can also be used in the teaching of Chinese, as well as in courses on the theory and practice of translation, regional studies. The authors believe that the results of the study will help to better understand the native Chinese speakers, which can help increase the effectiveness of intercultural communication. Novelty/Originality of the study: In this article, the author first showed that gender stereotypes in modern Chinese are objectified by an extensive and well-structured lexico-phraseological field, proverbs and sayings, and other linguistic units, which testifies to its communicative relevance to Chinese linguistic consciousness. It is one of the first studies analyzed the language objectification of the gender code of Chinese culture.

Abstract:
Gender distribution in all creatures is a sign of Nature. For human guide it seems to realize the gender division that is found distinctive in physical nature, man and woman with entirely different physique, that all other religions admit the difference but their societal customs have counted on equal gesture. That is the reason modern societies are now viewing no problem at homosexual contact in the west, without ascertaining the results of failures in saving their nation from a purgatory desire in their youth, who have forgotten how to quench their natural thirst from the right way, of having marriage with opposite gender. This study will explain how west has allowed doing homosexuality, contrary to which no religion has allowed freedom against the natural way. Islamic teachings are proactive in restricting these kinds of illegal trails for the safety human folk. Conclusively it is clarified that due to denial of religious teachings, there are arising big issues of gender-wise sins in the world that is also arresting Muslim youth too. Therefore, only the religious theories are advisable to all humankind for safety of human-identity. Thus, Islam teaching can never allow promoting the western’s theories of ‘sexuality’ amongst Muslim community.

In teaching Southeast Asian literature in English in Thailand, a lecturer presented a brief historical background of each country. After lecturing on each country’s literature background, the students were assigned to write the reflection essays on short stories studied in class. Then, a lecturer summarized the issues discussed in class and from students’ reflection essays. This article is resulted from the case study of teaching modern Southeast Asian Literary Works in English at IAC international studies ASEAN-CHINA program, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat university, Thailand. A lecturer and students discovered gender and political issues in Laotian, Burmese and Vietnamese short stories. Laotian and Vietnamese short stories A Bar at the Edge of Cemetery and The Khaki Coat represent writers’ attitudes towards their communist/socialist government. Laos and Vietnam share social problems such as poverty-famine, economic inequality and class struggle. Additionally, Laotian, Burmese and Vietnamese short stories also portray gender issues such as gender inequality, women’s liberation movements, and the effects of war on women.

Introduction. Currently, higher education is important in the training of highly qualified specialists, the creation of new knowledge, and the introduction of innovations. Objectives. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the indicators characterizing the gender structure of scientific and pedagogical personnel in higher educational institutions of various countries. These indicators were the share of female teachers in the total number of teachers of higher educational institutions. Methodology. We used data from the UNESCO Institute for Statistics for 107 countries. We used the density functions of the normal distribution as models. Results. The results of the computational experiment showed that the share of female teaching staff in the number of scientific and pedagogical staff on average in the countries under consideration was 41.6%. Women make up more than half of the teaching staff in twenty-four countries. The predominance of men as teachers of higher education institutions was in seventy-eight countries. The countries with the maximum and minimum values of such indicators as the share of female teachers in the scientific and pedagogical staff were identified. A significant difference was proved for groups of countries with maximum and minimum values of indicators. Contribution. The proposed methodological approach and the results obtained have a scientific novelty, since the assessment of the territorial features of the gender structure of teachers of higher educational institutions has not previously been paid attention in scientific research.

Abstract:
Over a year has passed since the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic and the introduction of measures to limit the spread of the pandemic in Latvia. These have resulted in changes in all spheres of young people's lives, including the way they study and exercise. This study examines the role of Generation Z physical activity as a means of maintaining the well-being of the emerging workforce and the choice of teaching methods by different age groups and genders as well as the finances spent on it. The research methods include critical content analysis of scientific literature on Generation Z, modern teaching methods and the role of physical activity in young people's lives as well as descriptive statistical data analysis of primary data obtained from a questionnaire. The authors found positive correlation between age, gender, the occurrence of depressing mood or anxiety and engagement in physical activity and also identified that Generation Z spends less financial resources for their physical activities and well-being insurance (e.g., the empirical study shows that 84% of respondents spend under 20 hours per month on physical activity, with Chi-Square test p = 0.001); additionally, the study shows that the use of such teaching methods as group work, seminars and webinars for promoting physical activities are efficient under the Covid-19 pandemic situation, except for responders aged 16 – 19, who do not enjoy seminars and conferences (p=0.002) and webinars (p=0.001), albeit other age groups do not mind these teaching methods as well as group work, as shown by Chi-Squared Test (p>0.05).

Abstract:
This article examines the pedagogical implications of teaching about the past in a way that establishes continuity in relation to present and future moments. I describe and analyze how my Trinity College students navigated my course, “Crossing the Color-Line,” which aimed to eradicate boundaries and entangle the professional and personal, social and political, past and present, and black and white in an engaged manner. I argue that a radical course such as “Crossing the Color-Line” can showcase, through literature and other media, how fusing difference of all kinds—cultural, religious, literary, historical, gender—promotes rigorous student directed learning experiences that are inclusive. Because Shakespeare was not the sole authorial voice in the room, or the only early modern author in our syllabus, “Crossing the Color-Line” actively resisted the literary, racial, social, and cultural homogeneity that one can often find in an early modern classroom. By not being Shakespeare-centric, the course placed value on the female perspective and refrained from being androcentric in its authorial focus. Moreover, by positioning “the problem of the color-line” as relevant in the early modern period, the combined study of African-American and early modern English texts challenged critical race studies to include pre-nineteenth-century literature.

Abstract:
Purpose of the study: The study is aimed to examine working-class everyday culture gender regimes in modern Russia. The research is focused on intergenerational transmission of gender-normative patterns, macro-policy of power and domination in working-class families, forms of their discursive production and legitimation. Methodology: The empirical base is represented by 30 biographical interviews with the informants aged from 21 to 33, living in Tyumen city and working in the field of industry, technical maintenance, and customer service. Reflexive analysis based on the categorical field of phenomenology and social constructionism, as well as data coding procedures, has been used as the main research tool. Main Findings: It was found that the normative pattern of a male breadwinner, having power in a family-based on control over economic resources, still dominates among young working-class men and actively supported by the majority of young women. The financial and status dominance of a man does not cause doubts in his leadership but when a woman plays a crucial role in providing for the family, informants tend to talk about “equality” in the family. Applications of this study: The results of the study can be used in the teaching of sociology, gender studies, and cultural studies; it can also be applied by local policymakers while developing social policy programs targeted on the regarded social group. Novelty/Originality of this study: In the current research we have examined a particular social group at the intersection of three stratification features: social class, gender, and age. The approach of “agency within the structure” provides an opportunity to carry out a deep sociological analysis of the relations between the macro-social and personal aspects of the gender regimes framing.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse the significance of the incidence of female principals in the urban sector of Eretz Israel, against the background of growing Jewish society, through the prism of which we can view the development of modern Hebrew education during the waning Ottoman rule. Design/methodology/approach – In addition to the archival material, contemporary newspapers provided an important source, as did memoirs of prominent people that, to some extent, filled in the “gaps”, more on the running of the schools and less on the activities of the four principals. Findings – A survey of the archival material reveals that the four women share biographical elements, their talents, personalities and education obtained abroad, style of school leadership and organization, not to mention their moral contribution to the education of girls in Eretz Israel. Practical implications – One may point to other fields in which women began to play a more prominent role, based on European training and experience. For instance, in medicine and a modern approach to midwifery, From 1900, modern trained female doctors, nurses and midwives began to be employed in hospitals and private practices around the country, helping to radically reduce childbirth fatalities and allowing women to consult a woman practitioner where before they had been unwilling to expose themselves to men. Although a direct link between the earlier presence of female educational administrators and the entry of women doctors may be difficult to establish, the atmosphere had certainly begun to change. Social implications – From that period on, during the British Mandate, and after the creation of the State of Israel, immense changes have been instituted. One can view the seeds of these changes as, at least in part, having been planted by the pioneering work of our four women. There were far reaching developments in the conception of female management from the time of the Ottoman rule through the period of the British Mandate. Originality/value – This research shines a light on a forgotten world and pursues a phenomenon not yet revealed in Zionist historiography − the running of girls’ schools by women in the Jewish community, under the dying Ottoman regime. The study allows us a deeper insight into the historical educational processes that fashioned the profession of head teachers, via pioneering female principals. Female administration in a patriarchal society, with a hegemonic male orientation that placed man at the centre and woman as secondary, faced these problems, obstacles and opposition. Women who were appointed to run schools had to justify their position by imitating the “masculine” style of management and to carry out their work − both pedagogical and administrative − without organizational, social or emotional support. They suffered opposition, internal (their male teaching staff) and external (from patrons and the religious community) and the need to respond to their criticism.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study. One of the urgent problems of the development of the regions of Russia is to increase the efficiency of regional systems of general secondary education. At the same time, it is necessary to take measures to reduce the gender gap in the personnel of modern schools. In order to understand the gender gap that has developed in the regions, it is advisable to conduct a comparative analysis of differences between regions based on specific indicators. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the existing differentiation of the proportion of male teaching staff by age. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the indicators characterizing the share of male teachers of different age groups in the total number of teaching staff of schools in the regions of Russia. These indicators were the shares of the number of men of five age groups in the total number of school-teachers in these age categories in 2020.Materials and methods. The study used the methodological approach proposed by the author, based on the consideration of specific indicators describing the proportion of male teachers of different ages working in general education schools in the total number of teaching staff of such schools. The study included five stages. The study used official statistical information for all regions of Russia. This information reflects the results of a federal statistical survey conducted by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. The density functions of the normal distribution were used as models. The study used methods of statistical analysis and, in particular, ANOVA. The study carried out mathematical modeling of the distribution of the considered indicators by regions of Russia.Results. The study proved that there is currently a significant feminization of secondary education in our country. The conducted modeling of empirical data demonstrated that the values of indicators characterizing the share of male teachers in the total number of teaching staff of schools depend on the age of teachers. The maximum value of the indicator was noted in the age group up to thirty years. With increasing age, the values of indicators decrease and reach a minimum in the age group from forty to forty-nine years. At an older age, the proportion of male teachers increases. The article discusses the regional features of the formation of the teaching staff of schools. Regions with minimum and maximum values of each of the five indicators were identified.Conclusion. The proposed methodological approach and the results obtained have a scientific novelty, since the assessment of the territorial features of the gender structure of school-teachers in the regions of Russia has not been carried out before. The methodological approach presented in the article to the assessment of the gender structure of the teaching staff of secondary schools based on the proposed methodology can be used in further research.

Abstract:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not only the preacher of a new religion and the leader of a new community but also an effective teacher, a passionate supporter of learning, and a pioneer of modern education. Islam is a revealed and knowledge-based religion that promotes learning and in which every person regardless of caste, class, color, and gender is obliged to get an education. The early Muslims were passionate about education as they were influenced by Prophet Muhammad's outstanding teaching methods and tactics. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) used every tool and approach available to transmit knowledge to people. The methods and strategies used by the Holy Prophet and the early Muslims in their academic endeavors are examined in this study. This paper explores Hadith literature on instructional methods and proposes a dynamic synthesis of Islamic pedagogical principles, particularly prophetic precepts, with academic ideas of modern education. Such synthesis is compatible with the manifestations of Prophetic precepts spanning Muslim history, and it would provide an explicit Islamic pedagogical framework for teachers, many of whom are from quite diverse educational systems. The research aims to study instructional techniques employed by Holy Prophet (PBUH) in order to promote a modern education system.

Abstract:
The basic purpose and objective of this study were to evaluate and compare the relation between class discipline and teaching. The existence of disturbance in the classroom was an extremely challenging behavior of the students all around the world has drawn attention of many researchers as to why such behavior is prevalent and growing continuously so that teachers may be able to effectively control such behavior and manage a disciplined and learning environment in the classroom by using modern methods of teaching. The understudy topic of the research had significant importance due to the rapidly increasing issues in classroom discipline. The purpose of the study was to improve the quality of teaching in the classrooms with controlled discipline and study various strategies that help teachers to control students’ discipline issues during the teaching. Scheerens & Blömeke in 2016 added that classroom discipline is just one of the edges of a diamond that adds to the quality of teaching in class. As per a study conducted by Wang, Hall & Rahimi in 2015, misbehavior in the classroom was the most widespread cause of teachers involving the school administration and management due to being so exhausted while managing their classrooms. The researcher applied mixed research methods to know the depth of purpose and aspect, which cause a lack in classroom discipline. The Researcher used a qualitative method of data collection of an open-ended questionnaire and for further clarification, un-structural interview was conducted for the teachers and students. Research Instrument (survey questionnaire) had been distributed among equal female and male respondents to avoid gender biasness. Selected respondents were 25 female teachers and 25 male teachers to know their natural opinions. And another survey questionnaire was given to 100 students which out of them were 50 females and 50 males. The collected data responses were entered into SPSS to assess the collected data results. The conclusion of this study is to provide an insight into educators’ experiences emphasizing the discipline in the classroom. The positive part of this research is the life experiences that can be either negative or positive effects of the classroom.

Abstract:
Quantitative performance ratings are ubiquitous in modern organizations—from businesses to universities—yet there is substantial evidence of bias against women in such ratings. This study examines how gender inequalities in evaluations depend on the design of the tools used to judge merit. Exploiting a quasi-natural experiment at a large North American university, we found that the number of scale points used in faculty teaching evaluations—whether instructors were rated on a scale of 6 versus a scale of 10—significantly affected the size of the gender gap in evaluations in the most male-dominated fields. A survey experiment, which presented all participants with an identical lecture transcript but randomly varied instructor gender and the number of scale points, replicated this finding and suggested that the number of scale points affects the extent to which gender stereotypes of brilliance are expressed in quantitative ratings. These results highlight how seemingly minor technical aspects of performance ratings can have a major effect on the evaluation of men and women. Our findings thus contribute to a growing body of work on organizational practices that reduce workplace inequalities and the sociological literature on how rating systems—rather than being neutral instruments—shape the distribution of rewards in organizations.

Abstract:
Abstract On the back of the Royal Historical Society’s 2018 report on race and ethnicity, as well as ongoing discussions about ‘decolonizing the syllabus’, this is a conversation piece titled, ‘Decolonizing History: Enquiry and Practice’. While ‘decolonization’ has been a key framework for historical research, it has assumed increasingly varied and nebulous meanings in teaching, where calls for ‘decolonizing’ are largely divorced from the actual end of empire. How does ‘decolonizing history’ relate to the study of decolonization? And can history, as a field of practice and study, be ‘decolonized’ without directly taking up histories of empire? Using the RHS report as a starting point, this conversation explores how we ‘decolonize history’. We argue that, rather than occurring through tokenism or the barest diversification of reading lists and course themes, decolonizing history requires rigorous critical study of empire, power and political contestation, alongside close reflection on constructed categories of social difference. Bringing together scholars from several UK universities whose teaching and research ranges across modern historical fields, this piece emphasizes how the study of empire and decolonization can bring a necessary global perspective to what tend to be framed as domestic debates on race, ethnicity, and gender.

This paper focuses on a mapping study of the development of Qur'anic and interpretation study generally in Indonesia. It aims to see how far the map of development of the Qur'an Study in the region of Indonesia. Previously, it is important to trace the beginning of the historical entry of Islam, the pattern and system of teaching the Koran, along with its development by looking at the work of commentary scholars and commentary on the interpretation of scholars. The method used is bibliography with supported documentation of related works. The results are the study of the Qur'an in Indonesia from classical to contemporary times evolved from the conventional pattern of the class (learning al-Qur'an in pesantren, madrasah, and home), a ceremonial event and even in competition (model reading al-Qur ' in various events such as One Day One Juz, STQ, MTQ, and others). On the other hand, the growth of interpretation and translation of the Koran in Indonesia is somewhat slower than the writing of interpretations in the Middle East. In this case the author traced the period of history of writing al-Qur'an interpretation according to Nasharuddin Baidan: Classic Period (7-8 H./15 CE); The Middle Period (16-18 AD); Pre-Modern Period (19th Century); The Modern Period (The 20th Century (1900-1950, 1951-1980, 1981-2000, 2001-present) At first glance, it appears that at first the interpretation became an integral part with other religious teachings propagated by the wali songo (such as the teachings of Molimo and also Lir Ilir) .Then began writing the interpretation with Arabic script in the local language (ex melayu, madura) .The work that appears like Tafsir Tarjuman Al-Mustafid.In this period style of writing interpretation is still influenced from the interpretation of Arab lands, such as Jalalain, al-Baidlawi, etc. The modern period is a period of Indonesian interpretation, not only of tahlili but also maudlu'I (thematic themes) .The themes are carried on are social, political, economic, gender, ecological, multicultural , and others.

Islam emphasises the belief that the family is the cornerstone of human civilisation. This article explains that Islamic teachings regarding family structure are unique in providing theoretical and practical answers to modern challenges and have the ability to reform any deviation. Furthermore, it constructs, from the study of the Quran and the prophetic applications, a model for gender equality and harmonious family relations. The methodology of this article is based on conducting a textual analysis of relevant Qur’anic concepts and Prophetic applications. It is my hope that having this understanding may show the way towards realising the significance of enforcing gender equity in order to establish healthy and peaceful human relations, especially among family members, which in turn will lead to generating a peaceful human culture and society in our modern time.

Abstract:
Digital education is actually a product of recent years, although it existed before in various forms. Obviously, modern devices and means of transmitting infor-mation are necessary for its development. Modern “virtual lectures”, e-learning courses, online testing, educational resources portals, as well as digital school registers and educational process monitoring systems have become everyday real-ity. However, the digitalization of the educational system has both positive and negative side. The purpose of the article is to consider the impact of digital educa-tional technologies on learning, from a university teacher’s view point, and to consider their positive aspects and problems. The study was conducted at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University) and University at the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of EurAsEC. The study in-volved 89 teachers who have teaching experience at the university (11.9% - 1-7 years, 28.1% - 8-10 years; 30.8% - 11-15 years; 29.2% - 16-25 years). The main results show that, respondents overly have a good opinion towards learning in virtual environments. The advantages of e-learning are complex for a particular measurement, but it has been found that some identifying variables as “age” shows statistically significant differences, while “gender” and “teaching experi-ence” are not important for evaluating the four provided variables. The study re-sults can be used to improve the perception of new educational technologies by teachers, to organize approaches for introducing innovative educational technolo-gies that expand the possibilities of progressive education on the part of admin-istrations of higher educational institutions and educational departments.

Modern technological advances and trends require new pedagogy and delivery of mapping materials to prepare the future workforce in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for an increasingly technology-dominated society. The purpose of this study was to develop an Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) Story Map “Soil Forming Factors: Climate” for multiple STEM disciplines based on the design guidelines from the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning (CTML). The study incorporated a two-group post-test only design that utilized multiple methods of analysis, including a quality assessment of the ESRI Story Map using the five principles of effective storytelling, direct quantitative measures of learning (quiz), and surveys of participants’ perceptions (PowerPoint presentation versus ESRI Story Map) using QualtricsTM. Survey results were summarized by gender, academic classification (year), and academic major program. The newly developed ESRI Story Map was an effective teaching tool as demonstrated by quiz scores and students’ positive responses. Post-testing scores indicated that ESRI Story Maps were an effective way to learn and were viewed as effective as traditional teaching methods (e.g., PowerPoint). Additionally, students reported feeling comfortable using ESRI Story Maps. These positive responses were consistent by gender, major, and academic classification (year). This research indicates that adding audio may improve the use of this ESRI Story Map for educational concept delivery. Empirical studies such as this that include multifaceted quantitative and qualitative assessments are critical to understanding the benefits of new types of multimedia learning in an educational setting.

Abstract:
Purpose: The study is aimed to research the means and patterns of masculinity constructing in the working-class culture of modern Russia. Both the practices of producing its multiple forms in daily interaction and the stable structures of social inequality, which consolidate gender order at the institutional level, have been considered. The article also provides an analytical review of current studies of the working-class masculinity regimes in post-industrial societies. Methodology: The empirical base of the research is represented by the mass survey of 1534 respondents living in the Ural Federal District of Russia. The participants were working-class young people aged 16 to 29 years and occupied in the field of industry, technical maintenance, and customer service. The processing of research results was carried out using a statistical package IBM SPSS Statistics Version 20. Main Findings: It was found that the remaining structural disproportion between sectors of the economy in the level of remuneration and the gender composition of workers determines translation and reproduction of the male breadwinner pattern that has power in the family on the basis of control over economic resources. Applications of this study: The results of the study can be used in the teaching of sociology, gender studies, and cultural studies; it can also be applied by local policymakers while developing social policy programs targeted on the regarded social group. Novelty/Originality of this study: In the current research we have examined a specific group at the intersection of three stratification features: social class (the working class representatives), gender (men’s and women’s view of the masculine construct) and age (the youth of three age cohorts). The attention was paid both to the cultural production of multiple forms of masculinity and to the continued dominance of social inequality and suppression’ structures.

Abstract:
Practical work is defined as any science teaching and learning activity that involves students, working individually or in small groups, manipulating, and/or observing real objects and materials instead of the virtual world. The teaching of science offers students the ability to access a wealth of knowledge and information, which will contribute to an overall understanding of how and why things work as they do. Science can explain the mechanics and reasons behind the daily functioning of complex systems, ranging from the human body to sophisticated modern methods of transport. Children and students can use this knowledge to understand new concepts, make well-informed decisions, and pursue new interests. Thus, there is a compulsory role of science practicals in science teaching, and it is always important to study its implications on the students’ science achievement. The study here has investigated this and found out if there is any relationship between science achievement and attitude towards science practicals. The study has been conducted on 120 students administering the standardized test on attitude towards science practicals. This study used a 30-item science attitude scale adapted from Prokop et al. Abstract:
The role of the Orthodox church in the formation of gender roles in the families of believers of early Modern times, which is an insufficiently studied problem, has been examined in this research. The sources of the study are “Teaching Gospels”, “Emeralds”, “Sinaxar” and other orthodox literature, as well as the materials of act books of Kremenets, Lutsk, Poltava and Vyzhva citis, documents from compendiums. The purpose of this article is to study influence of the Orthodox church on building everyday family traditions and gender roles and to learn how church prescripts were implemented into the real everyday life of Ukrainians of that time. During conduction of this study the narrative method was used to describe gender roles in families proposed by the church, comparative method was used to find out the difference between the orthodox ideal and everyday family life as well as legal provisions of that time. It has been ascertained that the Orthodox church denied people’s views on the marriage as a free partnership, oppressed women in their rights. However, the church prescripts were not always implemented in the real life. Even though, women often physically, morally, financially suffered from men, it was not a norm of the everyday life. The fact that women took legal actions is an evidence that they were not powerless or helpless. The fact that the Orthodox church did not prohibit divorce, approved remarriages had significant influence on building everyday family life. Another positive aspect was that the Church agitated for careful attitude towards widows and orphans.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine faculty members' attitudes toward online learning in Kurdistan region universities. The study examined the biographic and personal characteristics of the lecturer towards e-learning. The data was collected among faculty members at Cihan University-Sulaimaniya, and to analyze the data, a full factorial design with five main factors at two levels and no central points was applied for this specific purpose. The study's findings indicated that there was no significant relationship between gender and lecturer attitude towards e-learning. In comparison to teachers with an MSc degree, those with a PhD have a more negative attitude toward e-learning. Furthermore, full-time faculty members have a greater positive effect on teachers' attitudes than part-time lecturers. Likewise, the results indicate that lecturers who earned their most recent education degrees outside of Iraq have a more favorable attitude. Similarly, lecturers in the sciences are more favorable to e-learning than those in the arts and social sciences. In addition, the findings demonstrated that the interaction factors (Gender) and (Education Degree) have a negative effect on lecturers' attitudes when they are combined. Besides that, the interaction of factors (Country of Last Education Degree) and (Faculty Member Types) improves attitudes toward e-learning. Based on the results, it is suggested that academic staff receive e-learning training to deepen their knowledge and understanding of such a modern teaching system. There is also a need to enhance factors related to positive attitudes towards e-learning among university lecturers. The findings of this study are necessarily significant to both teachers and educational organizations in Kurdistan Region universities.

Abstract:
Critical studies of hadîth do not always aim at arguing against the legitimacy of hadîth as one of the sources of Islamic Law. Nor do it doubt –like many orientalist would do- the authenticity of the hadîth as a source of Islamic teaching. Critical studies of hadîth are about investigating the accuracy and validity of the narration chain. Considering that many hadîths take a long period of time before they are being narrated, inaccuracy might have taken place in that process. Therefore a critique is needed. In the context of contemporary life, a critique is even more needed especially that which looks at hadîth in terms of its relation with modern science, technology, gender issues, human rights, freedom of expression, and so on. This paper discusses the notion of the critical studies of hadîth in contemporary life by focusing on four issues (1) the cognitive foundation of the studies, (2) the objects of the critique, (3) the necessity of the critique, and (4) the normative standards of the critique.

Abstract:
Student belongingness is important for successful study paths, and group work forms an important part of modern university physics education. To study the group dynamics of introductory physics students at the University of Helsinki, we collected network data from seven laboratory course sections of approximately 20 students each for seven consecutive weeks. The data was collected via the SocioPatterns platform, and supplemented with students’ major subject, year of study and gender. We also collected the Mechanics Baseline Test to measure physics knowledge and the Colorado Learning Attitudes about Science Survey to measure attitudes. We developed metrics for studying the small networks of the laboratory sessions by using connections of the teaching assistant as a constant. In the network, we found both demographically homogeneous and heterogeneous groups that are stable. While some students are consistently loosely connected to their networks, we were not able to identify risk factors. Based on our results, the physics laboratory course is equally successful in building strongly connected groups regardless of student demographics in the sections or the formed small groups. SocioPatterns supplemented with surveys thus provides an opportunity to look into the dynamics of students’ social networks.
