Abstract:
Accounting as a practical activity was being developed during millennia but the final forming of accounting science is impossible without the development of its modern theory, which is correspondent to the requirements of scientific doctrines of the 21st century. The existing theory, in many cases, is not good at all and, in general, it is the set of technical approaches of realization of double record. The results of economic investigations of the world level show the impossibility of modern accounting science to fulfill its functions because of its conservative character and it was not changed during many years. All these investigations have a direct impact on economy and show that the understanding of the basic postulates changes and the stress is made on psychological and social aspects and avoiding of material ruling.

Abstract:
The 21st century is undoubtedly a period of enormous progress in the field of digital technology, a period in which the boundary between the real world and the virtual world becomes less and less visible. The Internet has undeniably become a facilitation of everyday life, since it is a tool of work, communication or a way to spend free time for many users. The virtual world is present in almost all areas of our lives, and people spend more and more time in front of the computer screens, operating websites, e-mails or social networks. Highly developed digital technology is a boon of the 21st century, but despite its numerous advantages, negative aspects are also visible. Virtual knowledge displaces physical interpersonal contacts; physical activity is replaced by spending free time in front of a computer monitor. Various threats (social, psychological, psychological, ethical and moral) resulting from modern digital technologies and the increasing degree of dependence on them are extremely significant. The authors of this article present the results of own research, aiming at making the reader aware that there are both positive and negative aspects of the virtual world.

Abstract:
The rapid IT development in the 21st century has a significant impact on scientific communications and research in all branches of modern science. Psychological science cannot stay aside this non-stop process. Indeed, the modern IT capabilities provide wide opportunities for psychological research in terms of speed, accuracy, volume and cross-culture perspective. The article describes theoretical, methodological and practical principles of design of websites for professional psychological diagnosis. Adherence to these principles ensures that the psychological diagnostic websites: 1) attract visitors and maintain the necessary level of their confidence and interest; 2) provide anonymity, clarity, convenience and ease of use; 3) have high informational value, content richness and scientific character; 4) differentiate the respondents and help receive feedback from them. The research methods used include the analysis of the national and foreign experience of IT use in psychological research, modelling and online psychological diagnosis organised on two psychological diagnostic websites with 26 psychological diagnostic methods and questionnaires. The detailed structure and developmental rules for diagnostic Internet sites are substantiated. A number of specific aspects concerning diagnostic Internet site application for professional psychological diagnosis are discussed. The scientific foundations developed by the authors for the use of remote professional psychological diagnosis have been successfully tested on two created psychological diagnostic websites http://prof-diagnost.org and http://hr-test.org and confirmed by the research carried out with their help. These sites are aimed at solving conceptually rather different research tasks. The first site has become the basis for fundamental research performed by different scientists, whereas the other has provided an opportunity to adapt 11 modern English-language psychological diagnostic techniques related to the diagnosis of occupational stress for their use in Ukraine.

The author analyzes the monograph “Utopian discourse in Russian culture of the late 19th – 21st century. Literature. Painting. Cinema”. The review determines the position of this book in modern science of projective models of the future. A key aspect is the continuity of previous studies on the category of utopia, and above all, B. F. Egorov, whose memory the book is dedicated to. The transition of modern art beyond the utopian genre is noticed. This confirms the appropriateness of the discursive technique. The author emphasizes the relevance of the traditional conversation about environmental problems and expresses bewilderment at the disregard by Western philologists of Russian fiction and scientific literature. As an unquestionable advantage of the monograph, its modern anthropological approach to the psychological details of private narrative utopias is noted.

Abstract:
The 21st century is characterized by unpredictable and changing environments that require individuals and organizations to adapt to these challenges and prepare for continuous transitions in the work environment. Optimism and hope are positive resources that are key factors in navigating this post-modern work scenario. Emotional intelligence can be considered as another important variable in this context and furthermore, research has shown it can be increased through specific training. The aim of the present study is to examine the contribution of emotional intelligence in mediating the relationship between personality traits and both optimism and hope. The Big Five Questionnaire (BFQ), the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue-SF), the Life Orientation Test Revised (LOT-R), and the Hope Scale (HS) were administered to 201 Italian workers. Correlations among variables were calculated and mediation analyses were performed. The results showed that the relationships between personality traits and both optimism and hope are mediated by emotional intelligence. In particular, the contribution of emotional stability, agreeableness, and extraversion on optimism was mediated by emotional intelligence; the contribution of extraversion, emotional stability, and conscientiousness on hope was mediated by emotional intelligence. These results open new possibilities for research and interventions to enhance the personal resources of workers in the fluid scenario of the 21st century by promoting optimism and hope that are facilitated by emotional intelligence in the perspective of enhancing psychological aspects of sustainability and sustainable development.

Full text
Abstract:
The article deals with modern views on the concept of “nationally oriented foreign language teaching”, presented in the linguo-didactic discourse of domestic and foreign scholars of the last decades. The author reveals and characterizes its evolution as one of the basic concepts of Russian and Ukrainian language education as foreign languages. It is found that they relate to the subject matter, content, and operational components of this phenomenon. There are significant changes in the views of scholars on taking into account students’ native language in teaching these languages by speakers of languages with different systems. There is a growing interest in didactic and linguistic data processing of the analysis of Chinese and Russian (Ukrainian) languages and their practical implementation. In terms of content, priority is given to culturally oriented and ethno-psychological aspects of mastering foreign language in a monocultural and multicultural educational environment. The innovative approach to this issue is also manifested in the increasing attention of researchers to the peculiarities of cognitive, mental and educational activities of Chinese-speaking students, formed by the national linguistic and methodological tradition, which is radically different from the national communicative and active lingvodidactic paradigm and needs appropriate methodological correction. Prospects for further study of the issues raised in our investigation are related to the research of a number of “new” terms in the terminological field of the basic concept of “nationally oriented foreign language learning”, as well as from the normative and codification side.

Abstract:
The authors consider modern glossy magazines as a tool for constructing and transforming gender attitudes in the context of psychological and pedagogical strategies for constructing gender in the conditions of an electronic-digital society and the specifics of communication in a pandemic situation of self-isolation, when information from the Internet has a dominant influence on modern people. A special aspect belongs to the analysis of the “Overton window” mechanism in preserving and / or transforming established gender roles in the modern electronic information society. Magazine discourse at the beginning of the 21st century acts as a powerful tool for influencing the recipient in a situation where digital communication and electronic advertising discourse prevail. The authors analyze the phenomenon of creating motivation for predictable gender behaviour, which is influenced by electronic glossy magazine discourse, considered from the perspective of psycholinguistics. The authors define this type of discourse as a special type of discursive process that acts as an explicit tool of globalization. The authors use the author’s synergetic approach based on the methods of linguistics, pedagogy, psychology and economic management as a methodology. The authors emphasize the novelty of this discourse in the context of its influence on the formation and transformation of the modern language personality in the context of gender stereotypes. The relevance of the research is emphasized by the fact that glossy mass-media discourse is the latest in terms of the chronology of the historical process. It actualizes the poly-ethno-socio-cultural and educational space of the beginning of the XXI century, demonstrates the processes of transformation of gender attitudes in the context of unification and globalization in the value orientations of the “philosophy of glamour”.

Abstract:
Poetological dominants of historical memory in works of asian immigrant writers in Canada The paper highlights the development of literature related to the historical memory concept of Canadian immigrants from Asian countries. It covers the period of the late 20th ― first decades of the 21st century. The complex of problems, analyzed and structured within the semantic field of the modern historical memory concept, is often applicable both to Canada and Ukraine. The research broadens the knowledge of Canadian literature introducing the names of researchers and writers new to Ukrainian literary studies. The paper overviews the interpretations of Canadian Asian immigrants’ dispositions within the paradigm of modern arts and humanities. The focus is on the issues of double identity, the coherence of ethnic and North American mentality. The researcher generalizes the poetical aspects of the works by Ying Chen, Kim Thui, Joy Kogawa, Michael Ondaatje. Attention has been paid to the definition of discursive parameters, which allow shaping the concept of historical memory in ‘mosaic’ Canadian society; the issues of identities; the main markers of Canadian historical strategies; and versatile patterns of literary texts. The participation of Canada in the global dialog, which involves its culture and literature, plays probably the most important role in the debate on Canadian polyethnic literature. Regional, national, and international features demand some combined definition. The research explicates modern historical memory strategies in the context of conventional territory with its specific spatial and temporal characteristics. The author demonstrates the main local views on peculiarities of the Canadian literary process of the 2nd half of the 20th ― early 21st century and analyzes literary texts. All the novels show profound connection between representatives of Canadian literature, who may seem essentially different but manifest temporal and subjective similarity. The paper lists the names of authors working within the ‘double vision’ formula suggested by N. Frye. This approach focuses on the elements of North American culture pertaining to Canadian multicultural world structure as well as traditional cultures of the writers’ ancestral homelands. The paper also considers the generation paradigm, structured on the basis of social and historical algorithms and psychological markers. The types of generational modes (Kim Thuy, Michael Ondaatje) in literature were combined through a common denominator ― canadianness ― based on a double identity.

Abstract:
Exhibition activity in Ukraine is becoming important. Exhibitions as a factor of scientific, technical and cultural progress in modern conditions contribute improving the efficiency and quality of production, the development of economic relations and international cooperation. The object of the article is to define the concept of exhibition design as a particular aspect of art-design activity, its role and functions in the information and communication space of the modern design culture of Ukraine. The problem of exhibition design is relevant in modern art history. Researchers suppose that at a certain stage people began to use objects and the environment as tools to satisfy an instinctive impulse to discover, emphasize, deify, sell and interpret elements of their own experience. Such «communication environment» considered as a creative sphere, or exhibition design. In the conditions of technical progress, the incorporation of elements of aesthetics into production gradually began to cover all production areas. The role of exhibition design in the organization of modern exposition is to create, in combination with communication room design, an environment that would provide the most profound and complete transmission of information, help to attract the audience and increase the intensity of understanding. The functions of exhibition design are: educational, cognitive, axiological, psychological, aesthetic, communicative, etc. Exhibition design in the 21st century both in the world and in Ukraine is characterized by the use of innovative technologies, which contribute to the expansion of the information field of the exposition and the disclosure of its main idea.

Abstract:
Introduction. Regulatory documents in the field of education clearly indicate the requirement to build a developing educational environment in each educational organization. At the same time, psychological comfort is an important condition for its functioning. To study the formation and support of such an environment is an urgent problem for rural schools, especially in the context of achieving the goals of developing the actual qualities of the personality of the information world. The purpose of the research is to justify and develop a model for achieving targets for personal development in a psychologically comfortable educational environment in a rural school. Materials and methods of the research. The main method is the triadic method of information criteria. Additional methods are the analysis of literary works on the problem and modeling. Research results. The model for achieving targets for personal development in a psychologically comfortable educational environment in a rural school has scientific justification and textual and graphical expression (design). The model is presented in steps. It has 7 levels, which together determine options for forming of personality traits that are in demand by modern challenges and threats as a component of the “21st century skills” for students in rural schools. The model determines the total of probable forms of the educational environment, identified according to the criterion "the possibility of developing personality traits that are in demand in the modern world, subject to psychological comfort". It allows a) to identify possible combinations of these personal qualities that determine the creation of different variations-types of the educational environment; b) to analyze the directions and trajectories which can be used to form and develop the environment for the required personality parameters. The model is an analogue of a morphological box, which, taking into account the context of a particular rural school, allows to determine the most optimal way for developing personality traits in an educational environment “tuned” for the priority improvement of independence, initiative, involvement, subjectivity, reflexivity and confidence of all subjects. Significance of the research. The results of the study develop the pedagogical theory of the educational environment in the context of achieving the goals of modern education and ensuring the psychological well-being of subjects. The developed model can be applied not only in rural schools, but also in urban ones, adjusted for a specific context. As for the managerial aspect, the result in the form of a model is valuable knowledge for administrative workers of educational organizations of any type.

Statement of the problem. The article is devoted to consideration of a problem of orphanhood in the modern Russian literature on the basis of L.E. Ulitskaya’s novels ‟Sincerely Yours, Shurik” and ‟The Big Green Tent”. The relevance of the study is determined by the increased interest to the work of the writer. The aim of the study is to reveal ethical and spiritual aspects of the problem of orphanhood in the literature of new sentimentalism through the prism of Ulitskaya’s works. An attempt is made to identify ways of realizing the image of an orphan, to denote a fair allocation of it in a special type of hero. Achieving the goal helps to identify intertextual connections and meanings that constitute the ideological and artistic basis of the works. The methodology of the study was comparative, structural-typological and hermeneutical approaches, as well as the method of literary analysis of the novels under study. Research results. The study of the central images in the selected novels allows the author of the article to reconstruct a certain philosophical picture of the world, which served as the basis for the creation of the type of an orphan hero. The article notes that the main character must face difficulties, the result of overcoming which will be either the achievement of psychological maturation of the orphan or the impossibility of his existence. In general, there is a profound connection between the theme of orphanhood in the works of L. Ulitskaya and large-scale social breakdowns at turn of 21st century.

Abstract:
The allocation of resources for health, as well as the distribution of other social goods, being a political problem, can also be observed as belonging to the universe of distributive justice, considering that all citizens must have the necessary means for an acceptable physical, psychological and social performance. Individual autonomy, paradigm of a full citizenship in a modern society, cannot otherwise be achieved. Human dignity seems to imply that no citizen can be excluded from the basic health system due to the lack of financial resources. Indeed, equal access of all citizens to basic social goods and therefore to key places in society – principle of fair equality of opportunities – is one of the core aspects of Rawls's difference principle. It is, in essence, about ensuring the exercise of the right to individual self-determination in the relationship between the individual and society, as well as the right to play a social role according to skills and merit. But, it is not only the theory of the social contract that provides for a fair equality of opportunities. Different perspectives of justice contemplate this ideal. As suggested by Tristram Engelhardt Jr individual autonomy must be interpreted as a value in itself and a determining factor for the exercise of a full citizenship. But, justice is an ideal that must be progressively built. Whether in a specific society or on a global scale. And, the great challenge of humanity is precisely to recognize the existing intercultural differences and propose sufficiently flexible ideological systems that can be applied in different countries with very different levels of social and economic development. Without detracting from the ethical principles that should underpin the construction of the 21st century global society.

Abstract:
In a rather complicated manner, Max Weber’s writings contain general theoretical reflections that are now incorporated in the canon of sociological theory, in the analyses of social change in the form of historical and comparative sociology, and in reflections on political events, all in the guise of the diagnosis and critique of his own historical age. This article attempts to draw conclusions from the tensions between these aspects in Weber’s work by trying to discover how such a sophisticated combination of cognitive goals is possible today, and what limits it encounters. What the “light of great cultural problems” falls upon, what elements of the past determine the present, and what events are particularly important for understanding of a certain age are questions whose answers must regularly be sought anew. The author relies on the concept of “modernity”, or rather, on the field of interpretation arising around this term. He assumes that the given field is wide enough to better understand our present condition by means of this term. In the meantime, the author believes that for this understanding to be successful, present-day modernity must be appropriately positioned in this field theoretically, historically, and as the diagnosis of our age.

Abstract:
Introduction. The problem of identifying the role of contemporary art thesauri in the teaching profession development has become aggravated in the context of global socio-economic changes, apparently irreversible after the COVID-19 pandemic. Contemporary art, actively exploring the reality of the digital age, makes it possible to comprehend the essence of the new in education, clearly see the ideal of a person who is in demand by the society of the 2020s, and choose a way to overcome the crisis of the teaching profession, which is no longer limited by the framework of person-to-person duality but is fundamentally open due to technology. The research purpose is to generalize scientific ideas for the study of contemporary art thesauri as a tool for developing the teaching profession in the cultural-educational space of the 21st century. The research methodology includes the thesaurus, interdisciplinary and integrated approaches; identification and systematization of units of knowledge about contemporary art through thesauri influencing the development of the profession of a teacher. The use of a thesaurus approach made it possible to identify and systematize units of knowledge about contemporary art and its educational opportunities that coincide in one way or another. An interdisciplinary approach showed the mechanism of integrating disciplines studied by future teachers with the space of modern artistic culture. An integrated approach was used to view contemporary art as a hierarchical system of a high degree of complexity in specific historical and psychological aspects. The research results contain a generalized description of the process of integrating contemporary art into education: the transition from a teacher’s professionalism to transprofessionalism through the introduction into the widespread practice of approaches that have resulted from the activities of representatives of creative professions; increasing the significance of a teacher as an organizer of cultural activities in the context of distance learning, with the emergence of new professional roles; the formation of concepts reflecting the commonality of thinking of a teacher and an author of artworks. Findings. Contemporary art thesauri help pedagogical education get to a higher level due to a new understanding of the profession of a teacher: as developing from professionalism to transprofessionalism through the assimilation of knowledge about the formation of a professional in the art sphere (“alien” becomes “own”), focused on organizing students’ cultural activities using distance technologies and new professional roles, explaining itself in terms of pedagogy and art. The field of application of research findings is the improvement of educational programs at all education levels (from the preschool establishment to university) in accordance with the requirements of state standards.

Abstract:
This paper focuses on the methodological challenges in the 21st century of ethnographic field note writing using pen and pencil amidst the increasing use of modern gadgets. Many ethnographers have been using modern electronic devices to collect field texts. Thus, the ethnographers are in a dilemma whether to use the traditional field note writing method or the modern method using gadgets. To address the research problem I conducted in-depth interview with 23 participants focusing on Communist Party of Nepal Maoist female ex-combatants and observed their activities for a prolonged period in the natural setting. Fieldnote is considered the most important field text collection method in ethnographic research. Ethnographic research requires more descriptive and interpretive field text analysis with cultural aspects. This article considers the creation of ethnographic fieldnote in the act of seeing and writing through emerging insight and understanding. The challenges related to the method of writing ethnographic fieldnote have received less attention in methodological discussions. This indicates that while writing ethnographic fieldnote in the field may have some benefits looking at the field practicalities but is equally challenging. There are certain methodological aspects involved in every fieldnote writing mission. My personal experiences of writing ethnographic fieldnote about the experiences of the excombatants fail to exclude the researcher in terms of methodological aspects rather it is more multifaceted and inspiring.

Abstract:
The article deals with the problem of the competence approach in education. The article is based on careful analysis of the scientific literature and highlights the concept of “life-creating competence”. The necessity and expediency of such competence forming in the future special education teacher result from the practice of living in an open information society, where the individual is required to show a new level of abilities that could ensure his/her effective functioning in any dynamic changes and circumstances, successful and comprehensive life both in personal and professional spheres. The article analyzes the subject matter of the life creation concept in philosophical, psychological and pedagogical aspects. A review of the scientific literature demonstrated that in philosophical and sociological discourse life-creation is mainly considered in the perspective of one’s own life building and culture of life creation, and it made it possible to highlight the following points: life-creation is a process based on two constitutive components: life and creativity; these components are purely individual; life creation depends on both personal characteristics and social factors; the individual must be in some way ready to carry out life creativity; thus, consequently, life-giving competence can be an indicator of readiness for life-creation. It was found that psychology studied the problem of life creation most thoroughly; psychologists present life creation as a manifestation of the subject’s personality, an active attitude to life, the result of self-development, a special type of life, etc. The author found that the life of an individual is one of the key phenomena in the philosophy of education, where it is considered in terms of the activity approach: it is a special kind of life, creative activity of the individual, life-creation, the art of living. One of the determining factors of life creation is education. In terms of pedagogy, the study of life creation of an individual at the beginning of the 21st century has grown into a separate area – the pedagogy of life, which formed the basis of the concept of the New Ukrainian School. It was found that the phenomenon of “life-creating competence” in pedagogy is not considered as a separate achievement of an individual, but there is “life-creating competences”, represented as a component of life competence of that individual. Based on the analytical review, the author summarizes that life competence provides the solution of vital tasks, productive life, the ability to perform certain life roles; life-creating competence, according to the author, brings an individual to a higher level of life, at which a person realizes self-design, selfconstruction, self-education and other self-practices; it is an active, creative and responsible subject of his/ her own life and social development, as he/she is able not only to adapt to dynamic circumstances, but also to change the environment for the benefit of him/herself and others, which is crucial for special education teachers in the light of modern educational paradigm.

Abstract:
The present study aims to map some critical aspects of social work in the 21st century, especially when participants in the old social assistance system are facing difficulties in the old system. Integration or reintegration of individuals back into society often becomes discriminatory. It is outdated and not accessible to everyone in need. This unresolved issue has been discussed as a large number of patients cannot be discharged from the hospital simply because they have nowhere to go or their home environment is unsatisfactory. Even the idea of providing comprehensive care to patients in a hospital setting is not possible. There are few professionals in hospitals. In the hospital, even if sufficient care is provided, the reintegration of the patients into the society or their families is not possible, which would mean the success of this therapy. This situation can be solved by using a multidisciplinary approach, as the biological, psychological, and social aspects must be considered to solve it. The study deal with the most important tasks in the context of social care in selected areas.

Abstract:
In this theoretical study, certain characteristics of orthorexia nervosa (ON) are assessed. As a type of disordered eating, ON is characterized as pathological healthy eating obsession. By reviewing previous literature, four orthorexic traits are investigated whether they meet the conditions of becoming adaptive drivers of human behavior. First, learned neophobia to avoid “improper” foods is considered as an advantageous strategy, secondly, ON being a cohesive force based on common beliefs and its religious, virtuous characteristics is adaptive as well. The third orthorexic trait in the form of physiological consequences (refeeding syndrome, malnutrition) suggests that ON is rather a nonadaptive health behavior, along with the fourth characteristic, namely, the psychological disturbances that health anxiety may induce. To conclude, ON can be viewed as an inherently useful tool to protect one’s health by diet, but also as a phenomenon which has extreme forms causing health problems. The exact etiologies are unexplored, therefore, the psychological, social and cultural drivers of extreme healthy eating are important to understand for future improvements. In order to establish the criteria and therapeutic guidelines, it would be beneficial to collect narrative data and experiences from individuals with orthorexic tendencies.

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to study psychological characteristics in the context of the negotiation process as one of the mechanisms of diplomacy in the XXI centu-ry. Research is based on an understanding of the main psychological factors of the participants and their influence on the results of negotiations. The success of the negotiation process depends on understanding the goal that the participants set for themselves, their general model of behavior, and the technology of negoti-ation. Methodology. The study used the methodology of interdisciplinary science. The authors used methods such as analysis and synthesis. An analysis of infor-mation from various sources based on psychological aspects of the negotiation process was conducted. The results of the analysis of psychological features of negotiations show that the psychology of participants is one of the integral fac-tors influencing the results of conflict resolution and the negotiation process itself. Negotiators may view negotiations as a means of winning or treat them as a means of analyzing a problem together with a partner and finding ways to solve it. From the psychological point of view, it is very important to take into account the fact that at the preparatory stage of negotiations there are already certain ide-as (stereotypes) about partners, connected with cultural and/or ethnic features. Careful preparation for negotiations and the study of the characteristics of the participants in terms of their psychology will allow for a successful conclusion of the negotiation process. Future negotiations can only be successful if the parties carefully analyze the situation. Misunderstandings between the parties can lead to a breakdown in negotiations or an unfavorable result. Practical implications. The results of the analysis of the psychology of participants in the negotiation pro-cess and identification of their characteristics can be used as a theoretical com-plement to the research in the context of psychological communication, causes and ways to resolve conflicts through negotiations. Value/originality. The study of psychological peculiarities allows us to better understand the partners in nego-tiations in order to complete them successfully with the most favorable condi-tions for all participants in the negotiation process.

Classical sociological theorists have been criticised for being too vague, incomplete, and ever too conservative and notwithstanding all the efforts and consideration that has been dedicated to linking different parts of Durkheimian thought to the law itself, contemporary sociology and criminology frequently disregard its potential within the current study of law and criminology. This paper, however, will strive to explore and prove, through a Durkheimian lens, how classical sociological frameworks can provide us with a series of diverse aspects to analyse modern values and circumstances.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the sociological understanding of the poverty analysis methodological aspects as a topical social problem of today. Despite the defining poverty eradication as the number one goal in the Millennium Declaration and the priority task of sustainable world development by 2030, numerous scientific/political discussions and practical recommendations for overcoming poverty, it remains one of the most acute socio-economic and moral-ethical problems of humankind. The manifestation of multiple poverty factors — situational, socio-demographic, socio-economic, socio-political, socio-cultural, institutional — only increases the need for a clear understanding of the root causes of the existence and reproduction of this phenomenon. Within capitalism, they consist of abandoning the principles of Keynesianism and the welfare state and the transition to the principles of neoliberalism, which determine the socio-economic essence of the society in today’s globalized world. It is no coincidence that analysts of all the most influential international organizations directly or indirectly recognize that the ineffectiveness of the fight against poverty is a consequence of the existing rules of modern social life. Poverty is an integral part of capitalism, one of the most acute and widespread forms of inequality and injustice inherent in this social order. The multifaceted nature of poverty phenomenon and the variety of approaches to its assessment led to the emergence of a giant thesaurus on these issues (absolute, relative, social, multidimensional poverty etc.). Identifying and assessing poverty, adequately to the complex realities of life, are essential points not only from a cognitive-analytical point of view but also for the elaboration of effective measures to overcome it.

Conflicts that emerged at the end of the last century and developed in the early 21st century revealed new aspects of the armed struggle. The classic perception of war has been blurred. In place of the bipolar symmetry appeared asymmetric threats. The former state monopoly on the use of force was lost. Some new members of armed conflict appeared, traditional battlefield setting disappeared and progressive imbalance between the parties for the disposition of potential violence leads to inequality and instability in the world. Asymmetry became a main factor in determining the image of modern warfare.

Abstract:
The Ethical Duality in Sports: Social and Psychological Aspects of Transgender ParticipationHistorically the notion about the understanding of women has been patriarchal in nature. The postmodern world has an inclination to redefine social mores. The prevailing thought in the 20th and 21st centuries supports the same thesis. The transformation of attitudes appears to be a regular phenomenon in the understanding of the issue at hand, thereby enlivening the motif of unity between the two. Gender, transgender, sexuality, etc., are in a state of transformation, so that to interpret and reinterpret a state of understanding and re-understanding of the issue of participation in sports has multiple significations. Sport in the 21st century constructs inimitable challenges for trans-athletes. A broad spectrum of identities is included under the umbrella of transgender identity. Transsexual or transitioned athletes may pose the greatest challenge to equity in sex-segregated sport competition. The subject under deliberation has a large number of interpretations, all of which center on a need to ‘deconstruct’ the present structuration of acceptance of sex and gender terminology. There is certainly a need to think and contemplate in broader terms about the meanings that assess the well-defined boundaries between disciplines of research. The present thesis highlights a deconstructive stance.

The main ones are industrial enterprises, the intersection of roads and external transport. Examines the specific characteristics and problems of the cities of Songdo and Iskandar that are associated with the geography of the place, climate, socio-economic and cultural context, lack of resources, cultural values and other aspects. Special attention was paid to the description of the development planning strategies of cities and their common problems associated with the scale, speed of growth, development and management of complex and dynamic objects. It identifies the community in shaping the modern urban environment, regardless of climate, cultural, political and socio-economic contexts. The construction of a new city from scratch is not a new idea. In the XX century in the world of urban planning practice shows a huge number of examples. The most interesting foreign experience, where during the XX century was observed four waves of development of new towns, and were submitted to various concepts. New cities provide a unique opportunity to learn from the wisdom and functionality of the existing towns and avoid the mistakes of the past, allowing us to re-create ways of using cities. The ambitious projects of urban scale are subject to numerous risks associated with economic feasibility, suitability for housing and the lack of dynamism, as demonstrated by many post-war and the new colonial cities. New cities offer unprecedented opportunities to experiment with innovative ideas, learn from past mistakes, to reproduce the beauty and energy created by the city and integrate technologies from the earliest stages. Starting from scratch means that new cities have the potential to resolve and improve problems of existing cities to be more intelligent and less wasteful and more socially open and creative.

Psychology is integral to the concepts and practice of leadership. Leadership models often have their roots in psychological paradigms, making it intrinsically easy for psychologists to grasp and apply them alongside clinical models. Psychologists’ ‘second-order’ skills have been used to good effect in the changing landscape of military mental healthcare: modelling adaptive responses to change, understanding the non-conscious aspects of relationships in hierarchical organisations, working with systems, the ability to diagnose situational requirements and act accordingly, drawing on a range of psychological theories and leadership styles. The clinical psychologist as a professional who can help others ‘reframe’ a situation or experience is key to their leadership role within healthcare settings, ‘enabling others to achieve shared purpose in the face of uncertainty’. The contribution that clinical psychology has made to leadership in Defence over the past 20 years will be illustrated by personal accounts from ‘experts by experience’.

The beginnings of skin ultrasound date back to about 50 years ago. However, the dynamic progress of skin ultrasound took place in the last twenty years, when the unprecedented development of computer technologies occurred, which resulted in the popularization of and easier access to modern ultrasound equipment. Skin tests can be performed with both classic scanners equipped with broadband transducers with a minimum frequency of 15 MHz, and specially dedicated skin systems with high-frequency scanners, which are equipped with mechanical transducers with a frequency of 20 MHz to up to 100 MHz. Owing to technologically advanced machines, ultrasonography has proved to be useful in many areas. The aim of this study was to present the current knowledge and possibilities of skin imaging using highfrequency ultrasonography. Te paper discusses technical aspects, types of devices available on the market, as well as methods for the analysis of ultrasound skin images and parameters useful in their interpretation. We also present current applications of skin ultrasound, with particular emphasis on dermatology and aesthetic medicine. In the field of dermatology, we discussed imaging of focal lesions as well as an assessment of pathologically changed skin and treatment monitoring. We also focused on the use of high-frequency ultrasonography in aesthetic medicine and cosmetology. The popularity of this method is constantly growing in these fields, and ultrasound is now used in everyday practice to assess the skin, plan and monitor procedures, as well as to treat potential complications. High-frequency ultrasonography is a highly effective method for skin evaluation, although still underappreciated in may fields. Further research is needed to standardize this modality, as well as to implement training for operators, and to popularize this imaging technique.

The article substantiates the peculiarities of teacher training in the national educational space at the beginning of the 21st century. The role of the teacher in the organization of the modern educational process has been determined and the features of the functions of the teacher as a moderator, tutor, organizer of project work, organizer of play activities have been emphasized. Competence approach has been characterized as the main condition for the teacher’s personal growth and development, the formation of his/her pedagogical style and professional position. Emphasis has been placed on political and social, informational, multicultural competencies, competencies that determine the possession of oral and written communication, competencies that realize the ability and desire to lifelong learning as a basis for continuous training and personal development. The article highlights the features of professional training of a contemporary teacher: the emphasis of educational activity of the 21st century school on the development of pedagogical thinking, teaching skills and formation of abilities and skills of educational activity, the definition of the most appropriate paradigm of education, which should be at this stage of historical development, promoting the formation and development of spiritual and moral qualities of the individual, the assertion of a person in a person. It is determined that the basis of professional training is not only the subject specialization, but also the essential, cultural and contextual aspects of activity. The teacher of the twenty-first century school should be prepared for the fact that education will perform a restorative function. One of the most important tasks of the modern teacher training is to form a teacher's readiness to work with students to design their personal trajectories, involving them in socio-cultural experience. It is concluded that at the present stage there is a need for a qualitatively new teacher training, which combines the fundamentals of professional basic knowledge with innovative thinking and practice-oriented, research-based approach to solving specific educational problems. Abstract:
Introduction. Decossackization is a complex issue of modern historiography of the Cossacks. The scientific relevance of the decossackization issue is caused by shortage of generalizing studies. The social and political relevance is connected with the Cossack Renaissance in modern Russia. It is possible to see a major boundary in decossackization, which divided traditional and modern history of the Cossacks. Methods. The author uses the method of analytical historiography, complex, structural and comparative analysis of historiographic sources, quantitative analysis of the nomenclature of studies. The bibliography statistics is received on the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database. Analysis. Defining Decossackization: definitions, approaches, periodization. Soviet and post-Soviet historiography. The newest historiography of the 21st century. Alternative and expanded renderings of Decossackization. Approaches to how Decossackization should be determined in the legal systems of Russia and the USA. Determining Decossackization as the genocide of the Cossacks. Considering V.V. Putin and Patriarch Kirill’s expressed opinions on Decossackization; the influence of these opinions on the historiography in question. Emphasizing the topicality of researching Decossackization in the historical memory of the Cossacks. Most works on Decossakization were published already in the 21st century, but they amount to only about 1 % of the whole number of studies devoted to the Cossacks, which means that new studies into the question will be both topical and necessary. Results. The scholastic research into Decossackization stems from Soviet historiography. The post-Soviet period saw a wide range of opinions and suggested approaches to the problem of Decossackization. In the 21st century politicians, church leaders, lawyers, historians and the Cossacks themselves have reached a consensus on that Decossackization must be viewed as a tragedy. New researchers agree with the definition of Decossackization as genocide or a kind of cruel mass repression in the Soviet Russia.

Abstract:
Relevance. The modern world is special, unprecedented changes are taking place. At the same time, present-day education does not always meet the challenges of the new millennium. The foregoing has a negative impact on the rate of development of the society and the country as a whole. The problem of this study is to reveal the aspects associated with the rapid changes in the society and the World in general, and to determine the trajectory of educational development in the third millennium. The aim is to identify, generalize and interpret the ideas for building education in the 21st century, to determine and substantiate the ways of its development. Methodology. When preparing the material, the author assigned primary importance to the conceptual provisions of humanistic pedagogy, along with the principles of integrity and systemness; objectivity; universal interrelation between phenomena; combination of the development retrospective with the development prospects; regarding the process of education development as self-evolution and self-development. Results and discussion. The proposition that education of the 21st century should be the advance one in its nature is substantiated. There is a focus on the skills to be mastered by everyone who will live in the house of the third millennium. Some content-related and technological aspects of education at a new stage of its development are revealed. Much attention is devoted to the questions of what a Person of the 21st century should be and what role the education plays in this process. The most controversial are the issues regarding transformations in the educational system: what changes are needed to create advance education, what should be improved in the nurturing system to enable a person of the third millennium not only to protect the modern civilization from sliding to the abyss, but also to ensure its progressive development, etc. Conclusion. According to futurologists, in the next two or three decades education will have to cover the distance that used to take two or three centuries. This will contribute to changes in its organizational, content-related and technological aspects. Education should become the advance one, ensuring the advance development of all institutions of the society and the country as a whole.

The text focuses on the migration in the European Union and in Poland at the begging of the 21st century. It aims to prove that even if the reasons and consequences of migration are varied, they have significantly shaped the development of human civilization and have been a part of human socialization. Furthermore, this text points out that the phenomena of globalization and democratization have affected the population movement and caused new patterns of contemporary migration. The European Union is a great example of cooperation between different countries in order to realize the principle of free population movement, which was put to the test over past years. Additionally, this article characterizes the Polish migration, especially the inflow of immigrants to Poland. Poland has become an emigration and an attractive immigration country. Abstract:
The article is devoted to the issue of functioning of postmodern techniques in modern pop music. The authors analyze the most striking of them on the basis of some selected songs. This paper is relevant due to the lack of detailed research on the issue of postmodernism in modern popular music despite the fact that, in the modern paradigm of humanitarian knowledge, postmodernism as a cultural phenomenon is becoming a promising scientific direction. Scientific novelty of the article is determined by the fact that it begins the process of systemic understanding and analysis of the situation on the music stage. By the example of modern pop music, the authors show that, despite the crisis of culture caused by the advent of the postmodern era, any transitional state is an impetus for searching and finding new aesthetics. The article summarizes theoretical aspects of postmodern discourse concerning those techniques that fall into the field of view of researchers (intertext, meta-field, simulacrum, deconstruction, S-code, etc.). Based on the opinion of famous scientists, the authors introduce the conceptual apparatus necessary for the subsequent analysis of the topic. The article presents and analyzes some of the most characteristic techniques of postmodern stylistics in the music of popular Western and Russian performers (Alice Merton, “Baha Men”, “Maroon 5”, F. Kirkorov, A. Vorobyov, L. Imangulova, and T. Shamanina). There are noted some cases of intertextual references and peculiarities of their work in newly created songs, as well as such techniques as mash-up, remake, etc. Therefore, this paper, to some extent, fills the gap in the study of the issue of postmodern in modern popular music.

Abstract:
Abstract Agriculture in the 21st century faces multiple challenges to produce food for the growing population using ethical/sustainable and efficient methods safely for humans and the environment. Brazil today is a world leader in terms of production of food of plant origin, both for human consumption and animal feed. Agriculture and livestock raising are critical economic activities in maintaining a positive balance in its economy. As a consequence, the registration and use of pesticides in Brazil have grown at an accelerated rate. This work shows the current situation in Brazil in terms of the prevailing laws about the registration of pesticides, with a focus on the toxicological aspects related to human health. The regulatory aspects of registration of pesticides in Brazil, the mandatory testing for evaluating pesticide toxicity, adoption of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, and recent progress toward nonanimal methods to toxicity evaluation were explored in this work. In this field, Brazil has advanced and there are opportunities and challenges. There is still much to be done and investments to be made so that Brazil can definitively consolidate its conduct within the context of a Modern Regulatory Toxicology, which has entered the 21st century.

Abstract:
Introduction. Modern scientific literature lacks evidence-based empirical studies of teacher personality. Singular reviews of the empirical studies related to the teacher personality are fulfilled within the framework of one theoretical model and do not cover results obtained in other directions of research, which does not benefit the practice of modern educational managers, teachers or educational psychologists. This gap might be filled with generalising empirical evidence through analysing international publications on personality of the modern teacher.Aim. The article aims to review empirical studies dedicated to the characteristics of a 21st-century teacher, to understand the existing limitations in the research of teacher personality, and to outline future research directions for the optimisation of today’s educational practice.Methods. The review includes the publications selected with searching keywords along with additional descriptors, followed by the analysis of content of relevant publications. The review covers articles published in the last 20 years.Results. The results of empirical studies, which meet the research selection criteria (have representative volumes of research samples and performed using measuring tools with known psychometric properties), allowed the author to distinguish several main clusters for studying teacher personal characteristics. The most prevalent are the studies of teacher personality within the five-factor framework, teacher emotional intelligence and motivation (job motivation, intrinsic motivation and semantic preferences). Within these clusters, the author has identified the tendencies, which demonstrate personal characteristics of a 21st-century teacher and correspond to subjective paradigm of modern education, effective teaching and effective management of education processes.Scientific novelty. The generalisation of results allowed the author to determine the basic personality characteristics of the modern teacher. The presented results reveal the patterns of personality development, work behaviour of a modern teacher and can serve as the basis for further research in the field of educational sciences, personality psychology, labour psychology and educational psychology.Practical significance. The specific historical knowledge about personal characteristics of a 21st-century teacher may serve for strategic and tactical decisions in the field of education management; determine the tactics of managing modern teaching staff; design teacher-centric programmes for the educational psychological services and educational programmes for the training, retraining and advanced training of teachers.

Abstract:
The article traces the historical stages of the emergence and development of modern choreography, its main directions, the influence of outstanding choreographers on the development of the plastic language of modern dance. It is noted that modern dance and its many and varied styles, types, forms arouse interest and the most controversial reactions from both the viewer and the critic. The concept of "modern choreography" was used and was relevant at every stage of the historical development of dance. In this or that historical period, dance was considered innovative and in line with the spirit of its time. Particular attention is paid to modern dance in the article. It incorporated both the aesthetic principles of the early 20th century and the further transformation of the modern dance of the second half of the 20th - early 21st centuries. The work also explores the emergence of the theory of movement, which appeared at the turn of the 19th - 20th centuries. However, despite the absence of a system of choreographic structure, tools for its analysis have already been proposed. This dance did not have a specific form and was aimed at conveying a person's spiritual state. In parallel with the birth of modern dance, new views on its perspectives were framed. The innovators sought to minimize the importance of costume, music, and decoration while maximizing lexical material and depth of thought, which rejected any canons of dance composition. It marked the beginning of a new era - the postmodern era, in which modern choreography evolves, moves in search of new forms and means of expression, changes, creating a new vocabulary, artistic symbols, and understandable signs.

Abstract:
The postcolonial fiction of the 21st century has developed a new version of family chronicle depicting the life of several generations of migrants to demonstrate the complexity of their experience, different for each generation. This article aims at investigating this tradition from the perspective of three urgent problems: trauma, postcolonial experience, and the “female” theme. The author uses the most illustrative modern women’s postcolonial writings (Z. Smith, Ju. Chang) to show the types of trauma featured in postcolonial literature as well as the change in the character of traumatic experience, including the migrant’s automythologization from generation to generation. There are several types of trauma, or stages experienced by migrants: historical, migration and selfidentification, more or less correlated with three generations of migrants. Historical trauma is the most severe and most often insurmountable for the first generation. It generates a myth about the past, terrible or beautiful, depending on the writer’s intention realized at the level of the writer or the characters. A most expanded form of this trauma can be found in the novel Wild Swans by Jung Chang, where the “female” experience underlines the severity of the historical situation in the homeland of migrants. The trauma of migration manifests itself as a situation of deterritorialization, lack of place, when the experience of the past dominates and prevents the migrants from adapting to a new life. This situation is clearly illustrated in the novel White Teeth by Z. Smith, where the first generation of migrants cannot cope with the effects of trauma. The trauma of selfidentification promotes a fictitious identity in the younger generation of migrants. Unable to join real life communities, they create automyths, joining fictional communities based on cultural myths (Muslim organizations, rap culture, environmental organizations). Such examples can be found in Z. Smith’s White Teeth and On Beauty. Thus, the problem of trauma undergoes erosion, because, strictly speaking, with each new generation, the event experienced as traumatic is less worth designating as such. Compared to historical trauma or the trauma of migration, trauma of self-identification is rather a psychological problem that affects the emotional sphere and is quite survivable for most of the characters.
