Abstract:
The paper considers the feasibility of using the methodological tool, in the discipline of physical education is a diary of student self-control. The main task of the educational process in higher education institutions is to supply the state with highly qualified specialists. The directions of construction of a modern higher school should have features of efficiency, perfection, rationality in the choice of ways to implement these plans. The attitude of a young specialist to physical education classes, to an active lifestyle, to additional knowledge that will help determine the functional state of the body and its systems, to determine the state of physical training is one component to the fundamental foundation in the student's mind of fashion for health, healthy life's style. The paper provides views and interpretations of different people about the benefits of time and effort spent on systematic research and recording of other personal data of the student. The main arguments against the introduction of a diary of self-control in the educational process is a busy schedule, the limit of free time, the inaccuracy of the research results. Activation of motives for involvement and introduction of new methods is an integral part of teachers` work. Motivations will help to direct everyone's efforts to a greater positive and responsible attitude of young people to the culture of health. The statistics provided in the work show the critical state of health of Ukrainians, the small percentage of the population involved in physical education and sports. Compared to European countries, Ukraine is really more declarative in this area than practical. To change this state of affairs is a priority for public authorities and teachers of various educational institutions. And it may happen that one of the factors in building a model of a modern educated specialist will be a diary of self-control, which will provide knowledge that will be available in the future.

Abstract:
The monograph is devoted to the methodology of material and technical support of railway transport. According to the types of activities, the nature of the material and technical resources used, technologies, means and management systems, Russian railways belong to the category of high-tech industries that must have high quality and technical level, reliability and technological efficiency in operation. For this reason, the logistics system itself, both in structure and in the algorithm of the functions performed as a whole, needs a serious improvement in the quality of its work. The economic situation in Russia requires a revision of the principles and mechanisms of management based on the corporate model of supply chain management, focused on logistics knowledge. In the difficult economic conditions of the current decade, it is necessary to improve the quality of the supply organization of enterprises and structural divisions of railway transport, directly related to the implementation of the process approach, the advantage of which is a more detailed regulation of management actions and their mutual coordination. In order to increase the efficiency of its activities and develop the management system, Russian Railways is developing a lean production system aimed at further expanding the implementation of the principles of customer orientation, ideology and corporate culture. At the present time, the solution of many issues is impossible without a cybernetic approach to the formulation of problems of material and technical support and logistics analysis of information technologies, to the implementation of the developed algorithms and models of development strategies and concepts for improving the business processes of the production system. AbstractModern information systems require their users to make a myriad of privacy decisions, but users are often neither motivated nor capable of managing this deluge of decisions. This chapter covers the concept of tailoring the privacy of an information system to each individual user. It discusses practical problems that may arise when collecting data to determine a user’s privacy preferences, techniques to model these preferences, and a number of adaptation strategies that can be used to tailor the system’s privacy practices, settings, or interfaces to the user’s modeled preferences. Throughout the chapter, we provide recommendations on how to develop user-tailored privacy solutions, depending on the requirements and characteristics of the system and its users.

AbstractImagine that you are a product manager at a software company. When users disclose some information to your product, they can use all the great features you and your team have integrated into the software. Utilizing these features is essential for the success of your product: it makes users satisfied and encourages others to use the software as well. Furthermore, the user and usage data can be used to improve the product and help implementing new features over time. However, since your product collects users’ data, you are worried about privacy-related issues. What causes users’ privacy concerns, and what are the potential consequences of those concerns? The APCO (Antecedents → Privacy Concerns → Outcomes) and enhanced APCO models provide a summary of the current scientific findings related to these questions and present them in a conceptual model. The APCO framework will help practitioners and scholars to bring different privacy-related aspects of a product to their attention and suggests how these aspects can interrelate. Throughout this chapter, we will consider a use case scenario of a fitness tracker application and discuss how APCO applies to this scenario.

AbstractWith the rising complexity of modern products and a trend from single products to Systems of Systems (SoS) where the produced system consists of multiple subsystems and the integration of multiple domains is a mandatory step, new approaches for development are demanded. This chapter explores how Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) can benefit from big data technologies to implement smarter engineering processes. The chapter presents the Boost 4.0 Testbed that demonstrates how digital twin continuity and digital thread can be realized from service engineering, production, product performance, to behavior monitoring. The Boost 4.0 testbed demonstrates the technical feasibility of an interconnected operation of digital twin design, ZDM subtractive manufacturing, IoT product monitoring, and spare part 3D printing services. It shows how the IDSA reference model for data sovereignty, blockchain technologies, and FIWARE open-source technology can be jointly used for breaking silos, providing a seamless and controlled exchange of data across digital twins based on open international standards (ProStep, QIF), allowing companies to dramatically improve cost, quality, timeliness, and business results.

Abstract:
Active European integration processes in the state, education and business determine relevance of the study. They pay special attention to the discipline «Foreign language for specific purposes» in the training of agricultural specialists. The purpose of this study is to consider the scientific and methodical aspects of formation of readiness for German-language professionally oriented communication among future agriculturists. Theoretical (analysis, systematization, generalization, modeling) and empirical methods were used to achieve this goal. They allowed to analyze the latest scientific research in the field of foreign language training, problems of readiness for foreign language communication, features of foreign language professionally oriented communication of agro-industrial enterprises` specialists. The analysis of the professional requirements for future farmers, scientific approaches to interpretation of the concept «readiness», modern concepts of foreign language teaching methods gave grounds to specify the concept of readiness for German-speaking professionally oriented communication of agriculturists, which is seen as the competence to use acquired knowledge, ability and skills for successful German-speaking professionally oriented communication. Analysis of the national experience of foreign language training of agricultural sector specialists shows that the main purpose of foreign languages studying in higher educational establishments is the training a specialist who can use the German language as a tool of professional activity and professional knowledge. In order to achieve this goal it is necessary to develop the linguistic, social-cultural, educational and professional components of German-speaking professionally oriented communicative competence. Communication is an integral part of the professional activities of specialists. It is based on general social and psychological patterns and focuses on the successful and effective implementation of professional duties, and includes the exchange of proposals, requirements, views, motives to solve specific problems, sign agreements or establish other relations between the subjects of joint activities. German-language professionally oriented communication has its linguistic features, namely: lexical (terms, scientific and technical phraseology, professionalism, jargon, abbreviations and acronyms), grammatical (nominal style, modal verbs, passive voice, sentence length) and stylistic (metaphor, comparison and epithets). According to the fundamental bases of foreign language training the model of formation of readiness for German-language professionally oriented communication among future agriculturists is proposed, based on the peculiarities of teaching foreign languages in agricultural universities and the specificity of professionally oriented communication of specialists in the agricultural sector. It consists of the following blocks: motivational-target, theoretical-methodological, content-technological and productive-estimated. The effectiveness of the model depends on such factors as: the organization of the appropriate language environment, modeling of professional situations in the classroom and increase motivation for professionally oriented communication. The results of the study are to determine the place of formation of readiness for foreign language communication in the professional education of future farmers, to determine the linguistic features of German-language communication of agronomists, to substantiate the organizational and pedagogical conditions of German-language training and create an appropriate model. The formation of readiness for professionally oriented communication in a foreign language is a systematic, long-term process that involves the development of traditional professional ideas, professional thinking and professional behavior.

For the modern school, the task of organizing the design and research activities of schoolchildren, connected with modern science and high technologies, is very actual. This is difficult to do without the interaction of the school with scientists and representatives of high-tech businesses. It is not easy to integrate such cooperation into the educational program of a secondary school. This chapter describes the experience of the School Week of High Technologies as an integrated model of the organization of the school's educational space. The chapter discusses the general logic of the preparation and conduct of such educational events as cycles of educational research, projects, conferences, problem lectures, excursions to high-tech production (including in the format of business games), meetings with leading specialists and enterprise management, and business games. Possible difficulties, educational results, social and pedagogical effects of realization of such forms of cooperation of the school, scientific organizations, and business partners are analyzed.

Abstract:
Diagrams and maps have uses beyond the purely technical representations that engineers routinely use as part of their work. Diagrams can also help to clarify and resolve non-technical aspects of an engineering project, by visualizing hidden assumptions, values, and priorities that might remain tacit and unresolved in a purely technical discussion. This chapter shows how systems thinking and mapping allows soft interpersonal and social aspects of an engineering project to be represented and discussed alongside hard technological activities. Any map or model of a complex and dynamic socio-technical system requires simplifying assumptions. Complex adaptive systems theory provides a conceptual framework for identifying the limitations from different types of simplification. Examples from educational technology and from mining engineering show how various types of conceptual map can help in clarifying, negotiating, and combining different perspectives on technologies in a complex human context – to overcome barriers of specialist language and tacit assumptions.

Abstract:
In order to optimally design a hot section component for creep, the designer and turbine durability specialist must have confidence in their predictive tools and be able to gain design insight from these analytical tools. The modified theta projection (MTP) creep model was previously presented as an accurate means of describing creep behavior as a function of stress, temperature and time. The MTP was then implemented in an analytical model using a life fraction hardening (LFH) rule to calculate creep in the presence of time-varying stresses, and the results presented in a second paper. This paper presents improvements to the technique through the use of state variables in addition to the previously shown strain life fraction (ELF) and temperature margin (TMar). The need for performing multiple creep analyses is avoided by adding state variables to that track estimates of the effect of temperature changes on stress relaxation and life fraction, as well as an allowance for material variability and an inexact fit of material behavior. The results of creep tests, on a nickel blade alloy, with incrementally increasing or decreasing loads are presented to provide validation of the accuracy of the life fraction hardening rule. The use of MTP and LFH has now been expanded to steels. Incremental testing results are examined for a NiCrMoV rotor steel to further validate the technique. The effect of true stress on model accuracy is also presented. Now that an accurate creep model and hardening rule have been implemented, expansion of the techniques to provides more useable design information and allows us to improve the structural integrity of turbine blades, vanes and rotors.

Abstract:
Modern large frame F, G, & J class gas turbine flow path component design requires the complex integration of multiple design disciplines that traditionally reside with distinct specialists. A traditional design system for an actively cooled gas turbine blade includes aerodynamicists, heat transfer engineers, structural engineers and a failure or lifetime prediction engineers passing information through a manual process with a small number of iterations between the disciplines. Design or manufacturing engineers can also be involved ensuring manufacturability and policing best practices in a predominantly deterministic design system. Over the past few decades robust design or probabilistic design philosophies along with cluster computing advancements have accelerated the release of commercial software that allows for the automation of multiple analytical evaluations at off design points. These software codes allow for process automation of several independent codes executed multiple times at various conditions for automated design of experiment (DOE), and reliability analysis using Monte Carlo or other advanced approximate probabilistic methods across the entire design system. In this paper, the authors are presenting a novel approach of using a commercially available process integration tool to fully integrate a series of other commercially available tools for a root cause failure analysis of a F class turbine blade rather than a new make design. The analysis incorporated a computational fluid dynamics model (CFD) to define inlet temperatures and pressure profiles, a fully conjugate thermal analysis interacting with a finite element (FEA) solver linked to a proprietary creep lifetime prediction model. A DOE was executed to define the meaningful parameters and help rule out potential causes of failure such as loss of coating or compromised cooling system as a contributing factor of the failure which greatly reduced the amount of time and money needed for the investigation. A probabilistic failure analysis was then executed and surrogate models created for quick probabilistic assessment for different operating conditions. This allowed for validation against fleet history to explain the single engine failure not previously observed. Setting up the non-deterministic models initially allowed for rapid redesign in less than 1 month time with confidence that the true root cause was identified and mitigated. It further allowed for feedback and calibrations to the traditional design system methodology.

Abstract:
A physiologically-correct mathematical model of blood flow in the human aorta is developed from previously reported experimental data. The blood is assumed as a viscous fluid flowing through a compliant tube. This phenomenon is modeled by combining the Navier-Stokes’ equations and Laplace Law. The model is validated using experimental data collected at a leading specialist catheterisation laboratory. The mathematical model is then manipulated to derive a pressure transfer function between the aortic pressure and the pressure at the iliac bifurcation. The results of a comprehensive senstivity analysis carried out on this transfer function are discussed in this article. This study indicates that Coriolis and viscous effects insignificantly affect the wave propagation characteristics. The effect of arterial tapering on the transfer function is also recorded as insignificant. Changing the stiffness of the tube causes the pressure wave to travel faster through the system. The system natural frequency also increases when the tube wall is stiffened.

Abstract:
Abstract Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) have a great potential for geological exploration optimization at all stages. This study considers UAV implementation at different exploration stage. Integrated approach using unmanned aerial systems shows great effectiveness based on the completed surveys. Low-depth electrical exploration using the shallow electrical exploration method is one of the possible UAVs technologies with great potential. In this study there are several cases describing main field data acquisition, models and cross-sections processing. Unmanned aerial systems are applicable at all stages of the oil and gas value chain and are already an integral part of oil&gas production process. Now there are more than 70 unmanned aerial systems application scenarios. The main advantages of drones are that the use of this operational data collection tool allows: – to reduce the duration of collecting geospatial data by 70%, and the cost by 3 times; – make the best decisions quickly; – to realize additional potential for increasing efficiency (application at all stages of the production chain) – increase the production processes safety level The most promising and actively developing areas of technology application are: Geophysical surveys at different stages of geological exploration. Drones have great potential for application in non-seismic exploration methods in the early stages of geological exploration. In addition, UAV surveys are suitable for planning geological exploration and working out the conceptual arrangement of the terrain. The presence of an accurate digital elevation model at the start of work of the project team makes it possible to remove a number of uncertainties and questions about conducting field work on seismic exploration, the placement of infrastructure and corridor communications. Objective control of the capital construction progress. Another important area of drones application is aerial photography at all stages of capital construction. With the help of UAVs, it is possible to control such parameters as the status and quality of construction and installation works, equipment of contractors, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and others. To do this, the unmanned vehicle flies around the object with a given regularity, filming it from different angles. After aerial photography, special software stitches the results into photogrammetric products (digital terrain model, orthophotomaps, 3D models) with an accuracy of 4–6 centimeters. On the constructed models, you can calculate the dynamics by one or another parameter. Operational fieldwork and intrastructure monitoring. At the same time, one of the key goals of technology application is the creation of a network of autonomous stations with drones at all assets for remote control of the company's production processes. The first step in this direction was the joint pilot testing of an automated take-off and landing station with an unmanned aerial vehicle of a multi-rotor type. The use of the station will reduce the time and cost of collecting data on capital construction and infrastructure. Project teams will be able to react faster to changes. An automated take-off and landing station allows the use of unmanned aerial vehicles without human intervention. The drone can independently take off, perform the necessary operations, land and recharge. Thus, flight operations and data collection can be performed remotely without the constant presence of a specialist on site.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of a study of corporate culture preferences depending on self-regulation and values of specialists working in project organizations for the development of complex technical systems (STS). As the methodological basis of the research, we selected R. Barrett’s concept of the levels of personal and organizational consciousness, the compatibility of personal and organizational values as factors that determine the development and effectiveness of companies in the modern business space (Barret, 1997). The purpose of the study: to determine the dependence of the preferred corporate culture of scientific and production associations by specialists of complex technical systems (STS) on their value orientations and self-regulation styles. Research methods: diagnostics of types of real and preferred corporate culture (Cameron, 2001), questionnaire «style of self-regulation of behavior» (Morosanova, 1988), author’s questionnaire of values based on the R. Barrett model (personal and corporate values), questionnaire «life goals and values» (Klyueva, 1997). Sample: 96 specialists of the STS Research and production Association (56 men and 40 women aged 28 to 55 years, with experience in the organization from 2 to 15 years. Conclusions. STS specialists assess the real corporate culture as bureaucratic and market-oriented. They want a clannish corporate culture or an adhocracy one. With a high level of self-regulation, professionals prefer clan and adhocracy cultures. STS specialists with a low level of self-regulation prefer a bureaucratic corporate culture. STS specialists have the predominant values of life, health and personal growth, and religion and fame are the least Their corporate values belong to the third level of consciousness (self-esteem, self-discipline, confidence, friendliness, influence and power, the effectiveness of the organization in business processes and management system). STS specialists have a high level of self-regulation with a predominance of styles for evaluating results, programming and modeling. Styles of self-regulation of planning, programming, and regulatory-personal properties of flexibility have a medium level, and independence-a low level, which is a consequence of the bureaucratic corporate culture. The obtained results served as a justification for the development of an algorithm for changing the corporate culture of an organization.

Abstract:
The integrity of a pipeline and the competence of those who manage it are undeniably linked — you can’t have one without the other. While few would argue this point, the process of how best to define, measre, develop and assure the competency of pipeline professionals, especially those working outside of field operations, is far less certain. The Pipeline Integrity (PI) department of the Liquids Pipelines (LP) division of Enbridge took on this challenge. Following a review of best practices and technical competency models in diverse industries, Enbridge custom-built an innovative technical competency model for Pipeline Integrity Professionals, from junior engineers to senior specialists and managers. The model includes competencies both general (e.g., communication, project management) and highly specific to the work of pipeline integrity (e.g., tank integrity management, internal corrosion engineering, pressure cycling management). This paper will describe the Enbridge Pipeline Integrity Technical Competency Model and “toolkit” in detail, including the architecture, competency library, measurement scale and assessment process. The business case, best practices research, project governance, development process and lessons learned are also described in order to provide a robust case study and practical guideline for others in the pipeline sector seeking to define and manage competencies for technical professionals.

Abstract:
In modern conditions, innovative augmented reality technologies are actively developing, which are widespread in many areas of human activity. Introduction of advanced developments in the process of professional training of future specialists of socionomic professions in the conditions of adaptive training, contributes to the implementation of the principles of a personalized approach and increase the overall level of competitiveness. The relevant scientific article is devoted to the theoretical and empirical analysis result of conducting a psychodiagnostic study on an innovative computer complex HC-psychotest. of the features of the implementation of augmented reality technologies in the construct of traditional psychological and pedagogical support aimed at the development of emotional intelligence of the future specialist. The interdisciplinary approach was used while carrying out the research work at the expense of the general fund of the state budget: “Adaptive system for individualization and personalization of professional training of future specialists in the conditions of blended learning”. A comprehensive study of the implementation of traditional psychological-pedagogical and innovative augmented reality technologies was conducted in the framework of scientific cooperation of STEAM-Laboratory, Laboratory of Psychophysiological Research and Laboratory of Psychology of Health in Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University. The theoretical analysis considers the structural model of emotional intelligence of the future specialist of socionomic professions, which is represented by two structural components: intrapersonal construct of emotional intelligence and interpersonal construct of emotional intelligence. Each component mediates the inherent emotional intelligence of interpretive, regulatory, adaptive, stress-protective and activating functions. The algorithm of the empirical block of research is presented by two stages: ascertaining and forming research. According to the results of the statement, low indicators were found on most scales, reflecting the general level of emotional intelligence development of future specialists, actualizing the need to find and implement effective measures for the development of emotional intelligence components in modern higher education and taking into account information development and digitalization. As part of the formative stage of the research implementation, a comprehensive program “Development of emotional intelligence of future professionals” was tested, which integrated traditional psychological and pedagogical technologies and innovative augmented reality technologies. This program is designed for 24 hours, 6 thematic classes of 4 hours. According to the results of a comprehensive ascertaining and shaping research, the effectiveness of the influence of augmented reality technologies on the general index of emotional intelligence is proved. The step-by-step model of integration of augmented reality components influencing the ability to analyze, understand and regulate emotional states into a complex program of emotional intelligence development is demonstrated. According to the results of the formative study, there is a dominance of high indicators of the following components: intrapersonal (50%), interpersonal (53.3%). Thus, we can say that intrapersonal and interpersonal emotional intelligence together involve the actualization of various cognitive processes and skills, and are related to each other. Empirical data were obtained as a

Abstract:
In the Philippines, demand for family planning (FP) is high, and the government is committed to helping the population achieve universal access to quality FP information and services. Reach Health Assessing Cost-Effectiveness for Family Planning (RACE-FP) is a decision support tool designed to estimate the impact FP interventions have on averting unintended pregnancies and on downstream maternal and neonatal health (MNH) outcomes. This report provides technical details of the RACE-FP model. RACE-FP is organized by objectives: improve postpartum FP, improve public sector and private sector provision of FP, improve demand for FP, reduce contraceptive stockouts, and introduce a modern contraceptive method. Although other models have been developed to estimate the impact of contraceptive use on averting unintended pregnancy at the national level for the Philippines, RACE-FP is the only model to provide estimates at national and regional levels, include intervention and commodity costs, disaggregate outcomes by age group and setting (public, private, community), and estimate the broader impact of modern contraceptive prevalence on MNH outcomes. RACE-FP can be an important resource to determine the relative benefit of FP interventions in the Philippines and could support policy decisions globally.

Abstract:
The article reveals scientific approaches to substantiating and developing technology to form social information competence of future Iraqi journalists based on using a dynamic pedagogical site. After pre-interviewing students of the Journalism Faculty at Al-Imam Al-Kadhim University College for Islamic Sciences in Baghdad, the authors came to the conclusion there are issues on defining the essence of social information competences. It is established that the majority of respondents do not feel satisfied with the conditions for forming these competences in the education institutions. At the same time, there were also positive trends as most future journalists recognized the importance of these professional competences for their professional development and had a desire to attend additional courses, including distance learning ones. Subsequently, the authors focused on social information competence of future journalists, which is a key issue according to European requirements. The authors describe the essence of this competence as an integrative quality of personality, which characterizes an ability to select, transform information and allows to organize effective professional communication on the basis of the use of modern communicative technologies in the process of individual or team work. Based on the analysis of literary sources, its components are determined: motivational, cognitive, operational and personal. The researchers came to the conclusion that it is necessary to develop a technology for forming social information competence of future journalists based on the use of modern information technologies. The necessity of technology implementation through the preparatory, motivational, operational and diagnostic correction stages was substantiated and its model was developed. The authors found that the main means of technology implementation should be a dynamic pedagogical site, which, unlike static, allows to expand technical possibilities by using such applications as photo galleries, RSS modules, forums, etc. Technically, it can be created using Site builder. Further research will be aimed at improving the structure of the dynamic pedagogical site of the developed technology.
