Abstract:
This thesis deals with human – pilot behaviour modelling during a flight in terms of automatic control systems. For these purposes, the introduction to the issue of description and modelling of individual components of the whole pilot – aircraft interaction is presented. Based on that, the simulation models obtained from real measured data are designed. However, the acquisition of the real flight data is quite difficult. Therefore, the flight simulator at Brno University of Defence is used for the purposes of this work. Several experimental measurements were taken using this simulator. These were focused on measuring pilot’s reactions (responses) to visual stimulus with emphasis on obtaining judgements about their current state of training (in terms of dynamic behaviour) as well as attitude to aircraft control. In this phase, two sets of measurements with eight pilots were taken. On average, the pilots had 60 flight hours before the first set of measurements and about 80 flight hours before the second set. The obtained results are analysed using mainly the theory of automatic control approaches in order to evaluate the actual state of pilots’ abilities considering the effects of flight training.

Abstract:
In terms of master’s thesis HAM-Tools library designed for MATLAB/Simulink was modified for the use in simulations of houses in the Czech Republic. Modified library and its parts were described in detail and tested by the simulation of the one-zone and two-zones models of the house. The simulations of models with same parameters were also realized in program TRNSYS. The corresponding results achieved in mentioned simulation tools were compared to each other. The one-zone model created by using HAM-Tools library is tested by the simulation of ventilating, heating, cooling, and sources of moisture. A demonstration of the practical use of the simulation is carried out in the thesis, namely by examining the influence of the insulation thickness on the thermal performance of the house (resp. its heat loss) on real atmospheric conditions. Among others, available resources of meteorological data are mentioned and compared to each other. The function for processing of the meteorological data to a file compatible with the HAM-Tools library was created. It was also created a material data file containing commonly used materials of building structures in the Czech Republic and their parameters.

Abstract:
The aim of this work is to acquaint the reader with the theory of human resources management, process reengineering area and related expressions. The work identifies personal types or groups of persons involved in the process reengineering projects and availability of defined human resources on the Czech market. Theoretical knowledge is described on two real projects of process reengineering - in small and purely Czech company and in large multinational company. On these projects also participated teams of different HR composition and scale, which allow to show interesting differences. Two projects only are certainly not relevant for the sample of general conclusions, but they are very useful to demonstrate specific examples of theory in practice. In a reengineering process also occur some problems caused by the type of projects, by process maturity, but also by the composition of human resources involved in the project. Parts of this work are crisis plans too - proposals for solving these crisis situations. I believe that the progress of the project is also affected by the level of stress put on the human resources, which is found in the survey that is part of this work. The survey compares whether the effects of stress changes team roles of specific project participants, including the composition of the project team. The research results are the main contribution of this work. The basis of the research is the definition of the team roles by Belbin. The main part sof this work are the basic terms and current level of examination of this area, it also contains examples of real projects, research and crisis plans.

Abstract:
The master’s thesis deals with the computational modelling of the mechanical testing of isolated smooth muscle cells. The main aims are to create computational model of a cell, to simulate single-axis tensile test and to modify the model so that the model reflects real mechanical response. The model of the cell includes cytoplasm, nucleus, cell membrane and cytoskeleton which is modelled as a tensegrite structure. On this model the tensile test was simulated in case of the cell with cytoskeleton and the cell with distributed the cytoskeleton. Force-elongation curves, which were obtained from this simulation, were compared with experimental data which were taken from literature. Tensile properties were measured on freshly isolated cells from rat thoracic aorta, cultured cells, and cells treated with cytochalasin D to disrupt their actin filaments. It was found that the cytoskeleton influence on the cell load in computational model was smaller than in the real cell. Therefore the model was modified by changing material propreties and geometry so that the model of the cell corresponded with the different types of experimentally measured cells.

Abstract:
The thesis deals with the description of the unstable flow of non-Newtonian fluid in a slit-flow rheometer, which negatively affects its behaviour. The initiators of unstable fluid flow are the roughness of the rheometer slit walls, the slip on the rheometer walls, and the influence of the inlet and outlet region geometry of the rheometer slit. The work contains methodical procedures for mathematical consideration of individual unstable fluid flow initiators and design of change of slit geometry of slit-flow rheometer. Part of the work is also a comparison of the most commonly used rheological models, derivation of general relations for the creation of the velocity profile of individual rheological models and their subsequent implementation in the rheological application, which significantly simplifies the process of evaluation of measured data when measured on slit-flow rheometer. This application can be used to determine basic parameters in CFD simulations or as a teaching aid.

Abstract:
Thesis deals with the modeling of pedestrian excitation of structures and obtaining the corresponding dynamic response of the structure. The trend of modern slender structures places more emphasis on the accuracy of modeling pedestrian dynamic excitation, which is difficult because of the intelligent behavior of pedestrians and the biological nature of the modeled pedestrian. First part of the thesis deals with traditional models of pedestrian excitation, based on application of pedestrian ground force to the model of construction. Models are explored on a model of slender footbridge for many different excitation variants in order to explore the specifics of the force excitation application and the structure response calculation. In second part of the thesis biomechanical pedestrian models are developed, including inertial forces, to calculate the pedestrian interaction with the structure. Parametric studies carried out on simplified structural models research the influence of design parameters of biomechanical models on dynamic response. The aim is to obtain a more accurate model of the pedestrian-construction system for refinement of the design of structures. The design of a tuned mass dampers for the reduction of pedestrian induced vibrations is also explored. Tuned mass dampers are devoted to parametric studies that deal with the influence of design parameters of the damper on the efficiency and design requirements of the device. The aim is to explore the design parameters and their influence on the efficient and economical design of the device. In the thesis were developed two biomechanical models, a simple biomechanical model with one vertical degree of freedom and a bipedal model of a human walking. Models have proven a certain degree of interaction when exciting light footbridges by one pedestrian. Bipedal model then also brought a partial insight into the mechanics of walking and the causes of pedestrian contact forces.

Abstract:
The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the potential of available methods for simplification and reduction of complex models of technical systems and their integration with experimental models. Finding methods, which would allow us to create models and run simulations in shorter periods of time, is key in design process of modern technical systems. In the beginning of this thesis, a theory necessary for understanding and application of presented methods is given. These methods can be separated into two groups, first as experiment related, second as simulation related. The first group contains methods for experimental evaluation of response and its use for dynamic system identification. The second group contains methods of finite element model creation, with the usage of standard structural elements as well as Component Mode Synthesis substructures, and these models are in the following step reduced into state space models. In the next step, all presented methods are applied on simple experimental structure. In conclusion, the results of simulations are the subject for comparison not only from quantitative point of view, but also, for the purpose of practical application, in terms of time, feasibility, versatility and accuracy. The system identification method along with state space method proved to be very suitable. The results presented in this thesis might help, by selecting the appropriate method, in simpler evaluation of dynamic properties of technical structures.

Abstract:
The thesis deals with methodology for computational approaches for numerical simulations of welding and heat treatment of aluminium alloys. The thesis describes improvement of the current methodology for metallurgical part of the numerical analysis of welding, which is important mainly for prediction of dimensions of the heat affected zone (and deformations). The improvement was carried out based on CHD diagram that describes precipitation and dissolution of phases during continuous heating. The thesis also describes carried material measurements (measurement of chemical composition, dilatometric tests, tensile tests of several conditions of materials at temperatures up to 500 °C and measurement of aging curves), which allowed to significantly refine analysis results for the alloys EN AW-5083 and EN AW-6082. Based on an evaluation of the measurements, several conclusions were made. They can be useful for creation of material databases of other aluminium alloys. The thesis also describes quantification of dependence between tensile strength and yield strength on the Vickers hardness for different conditions of EN AW-6082. There is also methodology for numerical simulation of the heat treatment process of heat treatable Al alloys in the dissertation. The methodology is completely new approach which has never been published so far. Application of this method is based on user changes of the material database in software Sysweld after relatively easy measurement of aging curves. Therefore, the methodology can be considered as promising for application in industrial practice.

Abstract:
The thesis deals with electronically adjustable and configurable applications of the modern active elements. In the field there were presented various active elements in applications of the analog filters and oscillators which stem from basic and more or less similar principles of circuit synthesis and design. However, there is not provided study of real behavior in detail and in most cases electronic control of the various parameters in application is not verified. In the precise design of application is very important to identify problematic features and determine how much it influences functionality of the device. In this work several filtering structures based on common and modified synthesis principles (integrator loops) are compared in the view of multifunctionality, configurability, variability, kind of used electronic control and impact of influences of real elements on behavior. There are used standard methods like adjusting of variable transconductance, intrinsic value of current input resistance and not so common method based on variable current gain in design of modified and improved multifunctional filtering circuits. The last method of mentioned control enabled to find quite unique filter which allows continuous electronic change of transfer from band-reject to all-pass filter of the 2nd order without reconnection. It is much simpler than previous and more common integrator loops. Larger part of this work is focused on electronically controllable oscillators mainly on quadrature types. There is presented several very simply and elementary realizations which require minimal number of active and passive elements. There are also slightly or more complicated solutions which remove some drawbacks of mentioned simpler variants. First of all there is given attention on study of real behavior which make obvious different problems with mutual dependence of oscillation condition and oscillation frequency, dependence of produced amplitudes (quadrature types) on parameter which is controlling oscillation frequency, influence of this parameter on oscillation condition, etc. In the framework of this part of the thesis there was introduced a novel modification of current conveyor transconductance amplifier (CCTA) so called current-gain-controlled current conveyor transconductance amplifier (CGCCCTA). Requirements for novel applications in the field of oscillators for newly developed controllable current amplifier and digitally controllable current amplifier (DACA) at the Department of Telecommunication FEEC BUT lead to creation of several chapters of this work where mentioned active elements can be used. The important contribution of this work (for practical approach) is also experimental testing of most of designed circuits and determination of exact design equations and rules which take into account real behavior of circuits and confirm results obtained from experiments.

Abstract:
Quantification of risks is one of the pillars of the contemporary insurance industry. Natural catastrophes and their modelling represents one of the most important areas of non-life insurance in the Czech Republic. One of the key inputs of catastrophe models is a spatial dependence structure in the portfolio of an insurance company. Copulas represents a more general view on dependence structures and broaden the classical approach, which is implicitly using the dependence structure of a multivariate normal distribution. The goal of this work, with respect to absence of comprehensive monographs in the Czech Republic, is to provide a theoretical basis for use of copulas. It focuses on general properties of copulas and specifics of two most commonly used families of copulas -- Archimedean and elliptical. The other goal is to quantify difference between the given copula and the classical approach, which uses dependency structure of a multivariate normal distribution, in modelled flood losses in the Czech Republic. Results are largely dependent on scale of losses in individual areas. If the areas have approximately a "tower" structure (i.e., one area significantly outweighs others), the effect of a change in the dependency structure compared to the classical approach is between 5-10% (up and down depending on a copula) at 99.5 percentile of original losses (a return period of once in 200 years). In case that all areas are approximately similarly distributed the difference, owing to the dependency structure, can be up to 30%, which means rather an important difference when buying the most common form of reinsurance -- an excess of loss treaty. The classical approach has an indisputable advantage in its simplicity with which data can be generated. In spite of having a simple form, it is not so simple to generate Archimedean copulas for a growing number of dimensions. For a higher number of dimensions the complexity of data generation greatly increases. For above mentioned reasons it is worth considering whether conditions of 2 similarly distributed variables and not too high dimensionality are fulfilled, before general forms of dependence are applied.

Abstract:
This thesis tests the ability of the Lorenz's (2005) chaotic model to simulate predictability curve of the ECMWF model calculated from data over the 1986 to 2011 period and demonstrates similarity of the predictability curves for the Lorenz's model with N = 90 variables. This thesis also tests approximations of predictability curves and their differentials, aiming to correct the ECMWF model estimated parameters and thus allow for estimation of the largest Lyapunov exponent, model error and limit value of the predictability curve. The correction is based on comparing the parameters estimated for the Lorenz's and ECMWF and on comparison with the largest Lyapunov exponent (λ=0,35 day-1 ) and limit value of the predictability curve (E∞=8,2) of the Lorenz's model. Parameters are calculated from approximations made by the Quadratic hypothesis with and without model error, as well as by Logarithmic and General hypotheses and by hyperbolic tangent employing corrections with and without model error. Average value of the largest Lyapunov exponent is estimated to be λ=0,37 day-1 for the ECMWF model, limit values of the predictability curves are estimated with lower theoretically derived values and new approach of calculation of model error based on comparison of models is presented.

Protože tvorba shluků buněk brání izolaci klonů vzniklých z jediné buňky a ztěžuje přesné určení počtu buněk v tekutých kulturách, snažili se genetici získat prototrofní kmen s neadherujícími, dobře resuspendovatelnými buňkami. Mnohonásobným křížením haploidních segregantů kmene EM93 s dalšími laboratorními kmeny a komerčními pekařskými kmeny vytvořil Robert Mortimer kmen S288C, jehož 90 % genomu pochází...

Abstract:
In relation to the latest economic crisis much attention was paid to the bank capital requirements. Many papers discuss the pro-cyclical effect of these capital requirements and the options of how to stabilize the banking industry and financial system. In this thesis I researched another instrument which can cause the pro-cyclical effect - the loan loss provisions. In reaction to this issue the Spanish central bank has adopted the model of dynamic provisioning which acts counter-cyclically. This model is supposed to balance the amount of created provisions and banks' profit over the time. In this thesis I introduce a hypothetical situation in which the countries using the Euro currency adopted the model of dynamic provisioning and I examine the hypothesis that the adoption of this model would mitigate the latest economic crisis as the banks would achieve higher profits during the time of recession. Based on the conducted research I confirmed my hypothesis and conclude that the dynamic provisioning would balance the economic swings. However, the results also showed that the set-up of dynamic provisions model is crucial. In order to make the model efficient the model coefficients have to be precisely determined by central banks or individual banks and approved by independent supervisors. Keywords...

This thesis analyzes the First Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1938) in terms of coalition behavior. It describes all aspects related to this phenomenon using the analytic and descriptive method. The work starts with the introduction to the coalition theory, including the typology of coalition governments and other theoretical aspects related to the coalition formation. Defining coalition factors in the First Republic are analyzed together with the description of the historical context, while stressing the national issues that largely affected creation of governments. The relation between the legislative and the executive power, the electoral system and the party system with the list of relevant parties are presented as other key factors related directly or indirectly to the coalition behavior. Political parties had decisive influence, that's why the group of their leaders called "The Five" was able to fade the importance of the parliament and the government during a certain period. On the other hand, there was also a great popularity and authority of T. G. Masaryk, the first Czechoslovak president. The main part of this thesis deals with the actual coalition behavior in years 1918-1938 and analyzes coalition formulas. The work describes the governments during the First Republic, their specifics, stability, and...

In the presented thesis we study analytical behavior of vibrational excitation cross sections and probability flux density in nonlocal resonance model. An analytical formula for determining the shape of Wigner cusps from three complex parameters is derived. The results of this formula are compared to numerical calculations with complex scaling method and interpreted within Feynman approach to quantum mechanics. Furthermore, we derive nonlocal continuity equation and show how it implies the multichannel optical theorem. Detail analysis of fluxes in the nonlocal resonance model is used to accelerate the convergence of formula for the dissociative attachment cross section and we present a simple model describing boomerang oscillations. A program in Fortran language is attached to this work. The program allows calculation of vibrational excitation and dissociative attachment cross sections, flux divergences and other quantities specified in this text.
