The heterocyclic indole structure has been shown to be one of the most promising scaffolds, offering various medicinal advantages from its wide range of biological activity. Nonetheless, the significance of 3-oxindole has been less known. In this study, a series of novel 3-oxindole-2-carboxylates were synthesized and their antiviral activity against human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) infection was evaluated. Among these, methyl (E)-2-(3-chloroallyl)-4,6-dimethyl-one (6f) exhibited the most potent inhibitory effect on HIV-1 infection, with a half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.4578 μM but without severe cytotoxicity (selectivity index (SI) = 111.37). The inhibitory effect of these compounds on HIV-1 infection was concordant with their inhibitory effect on the viral replication cycle. Mode-of-action studies have shown that these prominent derivatives specifically inhibited the Tat-mediated viral transcription on the HIV-1 LTR promoter instead of reverse transcription or integration. Overall, our findings indicate that 3-oxindole derivatives could be useful as a potent scaffold for the development of a new class of anti-HIV-1 agents.

This study examined how electronic tax system (E- tax system) reduces tax evasion in Nigeria. The survey sample was drawn from Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) staff and small and medium-scale enterprise taxpayers registered in F.C.T., Abuja, Nigeria. Primary data was derived from a questionnaire administered to a population of 60 officials and employees of the FIRS and taxpayers at a small and medium-scale enterprise registered in F.C.T., Abuja, Nigeria. The secondary data used was extracted from the tax revenue collection report on the FIRS platform for 2000–2019 (20 years). The conclusive research design was used. General linear model and linear regression were used to analyze the data collected. The E-tax system was measured using actual tax revenues and the level of electronic tax services. In contrast, tax evasion was measured using tax compliance and mind-set of taxpayers towards E-tax system. Taxpayers’ attitudes towards E-tax system, actual tax revenue, tax compliance and the level of electronic tax services were used as mediating and control variables; thus, results established a significant relationship, and this relationship is an adverse one. The work shows that an effective electronic tax system will significantly reduce tax evasion. Therefore, the proper implementation of the electronic tax system helps mitigate the problem of tax evasion that causes economic and social detriments in the tax administration system.

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimanakah penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI (Team Assisted Individualization), mengetahui keaktifan siswa dan mengetahui presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linier dua variabel siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 3 Probolinggo Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019.
Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).
Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dalam penelitian ini Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Asssisted Individualization (TAI) dengan Authentic Assesment membuat siswa menjadi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat ditunjukkan pada hasil analisis data observasi siswa. Persentase aktivitas siswa untuk mental activities, writing activities, oral activities, visual activities, listening activities, dan tidak aktif pada siklus I masing-masing sebesar 33,1%, 36,65%, 33,27%, 31,58%, 25,16%, dan 20,27% pada siklus II sebesar 37,83%, 40,54%, 36,14%, 34,45%, 28,37%, 19,42%. Pada aktivitas kegiatan kelompok persentase keaktifan untuk oral activities, visual activities dan tidak aktif untuk siklus I masing-masing sebesar 48,43%, 42,96%, 23,43% sedangkan pada siklus II sebesar 53,9%, 46,87%, 17,18%. Persentase ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal setelah penerapan model pembelajaran TAI dengan Authentic Assessment pada materi system persamaan linier dua variable siswa kelas X sebesar 91,89% untuk siklus I dan 94,59% untuk siklus II.

ABSTRACT Proteins that are produced for commercial purposes in Bacillus subtilis are commonly secreted via the Sec pathway. Despite its high secretion capacity, the secretion of heterologous proteins via the Sec pathway is often unsuccessful. Alternative secretion routes, like the Tat pathway, are therefore of interest. Two parallel Tat pathways with distinct specificities have previously been discovered in B. subtilis. To explore the application potential of these Tat pathways, several commercially relevant or heterologous model proteins were fused to the signal peptides of the known B. subtilis Tat substrates YwbN and PhoD. Remarkably, the YwbN signal peptide directed secretion of active subtilisin, a typical Sec substrate, via the B. subtilis TatAyCy route. In contrast, the same signal peptide directed Tat-independent secretion of the Bacillus licheniformis α-amylase (AmyL). Moreover, the YwbN signal peptide directed secretion of SufI, an Escherichia coli Tat substrate, in a Tat-independent manner, most likely via Sec. Our results suggest that cytoplasmic protein folding prior to translocation is probably a major determinant of Tat-dependent protein secretion in B. subtilis, as is the case with E. coli. We conclude that future applications for the Tat system of B. subtilis will most likely involve commercially interesting proteins that are Sec incompatible.

Data dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 135 kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa Universitas Airlangga yang sempat memanfaatkan AULA. AULA merupakan portal e-Learning di Universitas Airlangga, yang merupakan singkatan dari Airlangga Univeristy e-Learning Application. Alat uji yang digunakan adalah Warp PLS. Perceived usefulness yang dirasakan pada penggunaan e-learning tidak memberikan pengaruh pada actual usage. Perceived ease of use memiliki hubungan signifikan pada intention to use. Hasil pengujian pengaruh tidak langsung menunjukkan perceived usefulness mempengaruhi niat perilaku untuk menggunakan teknologi. A complete mathematical model for measuring the parameters of the scattering matrix for a measurement object [Sx] in the form of a four-port network is developed, in which the mathematical model of the eight-port error is described by 16 parameters of the scattering matrix [E]. In addition, in comparison with the 12-parameter model of the eight-port error network, four parameters are included, which allow taking into account leaks, parasitic transmissions of microwave modules under study (microwave microassemblies). Due to the use of matrix analysis methods, the equations in matrix form are obtained that connect the matrices of the measurement object [Sи] and the actual values of the matrix parameters [Sx], with the aim of enabling the solution of these equations instead of the scattering matrix [E] to use a transmition matrix [T] in the form of cellular matrices [Taa], [Tab], [Tba], [Tbb].

Abstract SOX8, SOX9 and SOX10 compose the SOXE transcription factor group. They govern cell fate and differentiation in many lineages, and mutations impairing their activity cause severe diseases, including campomelic dysplasia (SOX9), sex determination disorders (SOX8 and SOX9) and Waardenburg-Shah syndrome (SOX10). However, incomplete knowledge of their modes of action limits disease understanding. We here uncover that the proteins share a bipartite transactivation mechanism, whereby a transactivation domain in the middle of the proteins (TAM) synergizes with a C-terminal one (TAC). TAM comprises amphipathic α-helices predicted to form a protein-binding pocket and overlapping with minimal transactivation motifs (9-aa-TAD) described in many transcription factors. One 9-aa-TAD sequence includes an evolutionarily conserved and functionally required EΦ[D/E]QYΦ motif. SOXF proteins (SOX7, SOX17 and SOX18) contain an identical motif, suggesting evolution from a common ancestor already harboring this motif, whereas TAC and other transactivating SOX proteins feature only remotely related motifs. Missense variants in this SOXE/SOXF-specific motif are rare in control individuals, but have been detected in cancers, supporting its importance in development and physiology. By deepening understanding of mechanisms underlying the central transactivation function of SOXE proteins, these findings should help further decipher molecular networks essential for development and health and dysregulated in diseases.

The desire to use technology is due to the perception of the level of ease of use. The easier the user perception, the higher the ability to see the usefulness of technology, and the easier the perception of usage, the higher desire to utilize technology.</em><em> </em><em>The analysis result shows that </em>perceived ease of use<em> is in medium and low category.</em><em> </em>Perceived usefulness<em> </em><em>is in the high and medium category.</em><em> </em><em>The desire to </em>behavioral intention to use<em> is in the medium and low category. The result of hypothesis testing shows the perception of ease of influence perception of usefulness. Furthermore, perceptions of usefulness affect the desire to use technology in business activities. The test result shows the perception of ease that doesn’t give a direct significant influence to the desire to use technology.</em></p>

Coffee is one of the plantation commodities that has an important role in economic activities in Indonesia. Coffee is also one of Indonesia's export commodities which is quite important as a foreign exchange earner in addition to oil and gas. As a producer, Indonesia occupies the fourth position while as a consumer Indonesia is in seventh place, and coffee connoisseurs in Indonesia are growing rapidly at 8% for the development of coffee connoisseurs in Indonesia while the development of coffee connoisseurs in the world is only 6%. With the increase in coffee drinkers in Indonesia, the level of sales of coffee powder will also increase. In this study, the system was designed to facilitate the sale of coffee powder using prototyping methodology and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) for testing method. The purchasing system can make it easier and provide convenience for buyers and sellers in Indonesia. Based on the TAM test that has been carried out on 79 respondents, it shows the results that Attention to Use (ATU) affects Behavioral Intention to Use (BITU) by 4.427, Behavioral Intention to Use (BITU) affects Actual System Usage (ASU) 16.511, Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) affects Attention to Use (ATU) by 3.130, Perceived Usefulness (PU) affects Attention to Use (ATU) by 6.712, and PU affects BITU by 4.692.

The aims of this paper are (1) to identify the characteristics of maintenance service providers that directly impact maintenance service quality, using 18 independent covariables; (2) to quantify the change in risk these covariables present to service quality, measured in terms of equipment turnaround time (TAT). A survey was applied to every maintenance service provider (n = 19) for characterization purposes. The equipment inventory was characterized, and the TAT variable recorded and monitored for every work order of each service provider (N = 1,025). Finally, the research team conducted a statistical analysis to accomplish the research objectives. The results of this study offer strong empirical evidence that the most influential variables affecting the quality of maintenance service performance are the following: type of maintenance, availability of spare parts in the country, user training, technological complexity of the equipment, distance between the company and the hospital, and the number of maintenance visits performed by the company. The strength of the results obtained by the Cox model built are supported by the measure of the Rp,e2 = 0.57 with a value of Rp,e= 0.75. Thus, the model explained 57% of the variation in equipment TAT, with moderate high positive correlation between the dependent variable (TAT) and independent variables.

ABSTRACT β-Lactamases represent the major resistance mechanism of gram-negative bacteria against β-lactam antibiotics. The amino acid sequences of these proteins vary widely, but all are located in the periplasm of bacteria. In this study, we investigated the translocation mechanism of representative β-lactamases in an Escherichia coli model. N-terminal signal sequence analyses, antibiotic activity assay, and direct measurement of translocation of a green fluorescent protein (GFP) reporter fused to β-lactamases revealed that most were exported via the Sec pathway. However, the Stenotrophomonas maltophilia L2 β-lactamase was exported via the E. coli Tat translocase, while the S. maltophilia L1 β-lactamase was Sec dependent. These results show the possible Tat-dependent translocation of β-lactamases in the E. coli model system. In addition, the mutation of the cytoskeleton-encoding gene mreB, which may be involved in the spatial organization of penicillin-binding proteins, decreased the MIC of β-lactams for β-lactamase-producing E. coli. These findings provide new knowledge about β-lactamase translocation, a putative new target for addressing β-lactamase-mediated resistance.

This research method is quantitative with One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The data collection technique used a mathematical literacy test for pretest and posttest with number content. While the data analysis technique used the average difference test (Paired Sample T-Test) and the Gain test. The results showed that based on the results of the average difference test, there were differences in scores before and after the application of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model with the help of e-modules and the application of the TAI model could also improve mathematical literacy with an average score of each before and after the application of the model is 47.07 and 70.33 with categorization of improvement based on the Gain test after the application of the TAI model assisted by e-modules, namely 7 students of low improvement, 18 students of moderate improvement, and 5 students of high improvement and the average increase of students after the application of the model TAI assisted by e-module is 0.481 and is included in the moderate criteria. Thus, one way to improve students' mathematical literacy is to use the TAI learning model.

Populasi dan sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa/i Universitas Airlangga yang menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis elektronik. Data yang digunakan sebanyak 135 kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda dengan program SPSS. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa keseluruhan variabel adalah reliabel, dimana nilai cronbach alpha setiap variabel > 0,7 (PU= 0,756; PEU=0,837; ITU=0,724). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perceived usefulness dan perceived ease of use memiliki pengaruh terhadap intention to use. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini yaitu hanya dilakukan di satu universitas saja. Selain itu, data dari hasil kuesioner bisa jadi memberikan hasil yang bias. Dengan jenis penelitian yang sama, penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambahkan beberapa variabel lain yang terkait dalam penelitian.

STMIK Borneo International Balikpapan is one of the educational institutions that has developed an e-learning system. This study aims to examine student behavior in the use of e-learning STMIK Borneo International Balikpapan on the e-learning system with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) using SPSS version 26 as data processing with the aim of providing convenience and acceleration in the research completion process. Respondents in this study were 37 students in 2018. The data collection method used an electronic questionnaire (google form), a measuring instrument with a Likert scale, in validity and reliability tests and descriptive analysis by looking for the average value of each question item. The research model uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with 3 variables, namely user acceptance (Acceptance), ease of use (Ease of Use), and usefulness (Usefulness). The results of the analysis show that the perception of the use of the e-learning system is the average overall value of the mean score usefulness (Usefulness) 4, ease (Ease of Use) 3.6, acceptance (Acceptance) 4.03. So it can be concluded that respondents get good benefits in using the e-learning system

This paper examines trends of using e-books as a learning tool among EFL students of Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the number of English language courses as an external independent variable. Data is collected by administering a questionnaire to 283 respondents from Humanities and Social Sciences Faculties along with Medical, Engineering, and Science Faculties. Data is analyzed using SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis software. The analysis reveals that perceived ease of use (PEOU) positively affects perceived usefulness (PU) and attitudes towards using e-books, PU has a significant effect on attitudes and intentions to use e-books, and the attitudes have significant intentions to use e-books. On the other hand, attitudes and intentions are not significantly related to the regular use of e-books in comparison to students with limited use of e-books. Finally, the students who studied or are studying three or more English courses have positive attitudes and higher intentions towards using e-books if compared to those who studied less than three. This study is important to get a better understanding of e-book reading intentions among university students. It is believed to be the first study of undergraduates’ intention on using e-book during/after the pandemic in Jordan using TAM.

Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode survei. Sebanyak 100 UMKM di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi manfaat berpengaruh positif terhadap sikap penggunaan dan niat menggunakan, persepsi kemudahan penggunaan berpengaruh positif terhadap sikap penggunaan, tekanan sosial berpengaruh positif terhadap niat menggunakan, serta sikap penggunaan berpengaruh positif terhadap niat menggunakan.

Suatu apalikasi diterima oleh masyarakat dapat dilihat dari sisi kegunaan dan kemudahannya. Pengujian kegunaan dan kemudahan aplikasi dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakannya pendekatan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) dan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang sebarkan kepada sample yang sudah ditentukan terlebih dahulu. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti ingin mengetahui dan mengukur sejauh mana kegunaan dan kemudahan layanan e-wallet GoPay sampai saat dilakukannya penelitian ini. Hasil pengujian pada uji validitas semua instrumen penelitian menyatakan rhitung lebih besar dari nilai rtabel maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini dapat dilanjutkan. Dimana nilai rtabel didapat dari : pengujian validitas terlebih dahulu ditentukan taraf nyata (α) yaitu 5% atau 0,05 dan statistik uji yang digunakan adalah (rho-Spearman), Nilai kritis = nilai tabel dimana n = 93. rtabel = rα;(n-2) = r0,05;(91) = 0,206. Berdasarkan hasil penelitan bahwa secara umum pengguna kualitas e-wallet GoPay belum merasa puas terhadap kualitas aplikasi yang ada saat ini, dapat dilihat bahwa nilai pada kolom tersebut dominan bernilai negative (seperti Dengan E-wallet Go-Pay membantu meningkatkan produktivitas saya dengan skor kepuasan -0,1075, Secara umum E-wallet Go-Pay berguna untuk saya dengan skor kepuasan -0,0323).

Abstract: With the development of today's information technology that forces all levels of society to follow it, including digital wallet users or in today's terms it is called e-wallet. E-wallet is a type of electronic payment. In Indonesia, there are so many e-wallet products, issued by banks and the private sector in the form of an application. An application that is accepted by the community can be seen in terms of its usefulness and convenience. Testing the usability and ease of application can be done by using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) approaches by using a questionnaire that is distributed to a predetermined sample. In this study, the researcher wanted to know and measure the usefulness and convenience of GoPay's e-wallet service until the time of this research. The test results on the validity of all research instruments state that rcount is greater than the value of rtable, so it can be concluded that this research can be continued. Where the rtable value is obtained from: the validity test is first determined by the significance level (α) which is 5% or 0.05 and the test statistic used is (rho-Spearman), critical value = table value where n = 93. rtable = rα;( n-2) = r0.05;(91) = 0.206. Based on research results that in general GoPay e-wallet quality users are not satisfied with the quality of the current application, it can be seen that the value in this column is dominantly negative (such as Go-Pay E-wallet helps increase my productivity with a satisfaction score of - 0.1075, In general Go-Pay E-wallet is useful for me with a satisfaction score of -0.0233).

As governments around the world move toward e-governance, a need exists to examine citizens’ willingness to adopt e-governance services. In this paper, the authors identify the success factors of e-governance adoption by teachers in Greece, using the Technology Acceptance Model, the Diffusion of Innovation model and constructs of trust, risk and personal innovativeness. Two hundred thirty primary and secondary education teachers responded to an online survey. LISREL then analyzed the data. Model estimation used the maximum likelihood approach, with the item covariance matrix as input. A SEM validation of the proposed model reveals that personal innovativeness, compatibility and relative advantage are stronger predictors of intention to use, compared to trust, and perceived risk. Findings may enhance policymakers’ capacities by presenting them with an understanding of citizens’ attitudes.

<p>O trabalho parte da análise de conteúdo para abordar as discussões sobre o conceito de indústria cultural cunhado e analisado por Theodor Adorno e Max Horkheimer e seu desdobramento no livro Teoria Estética de Adorno, em especial sobre o cinema. O conceito compreende o caráter comercial e o modo de produção industrial das produções culturais no capitalismo, tratadas, inclusive, como mercadorias e suas consequências sobre o público, atuando principalmente como instrumento de manipulação ideológica na visão adorniana. Entretanto, em Teoria Estética, o autor avança a discussão e admite que, apesar da presença da ideologia, a indústria cultural poderia também desenvolver um espaço alternativo para produções massificadas. Posteriormente, Frederic Jameson, inspirado no trabalho de Adorno, traçou linha semelhante, ao perceber que os produtos da indústria cultural não seriam apenas ideológicos. Para além de Adorno, afirmava que eles também poderiam ser utópicos, pois a cultura de massa atrai o público com promessas coletivas e individuais de um futuro melhor.</p><p> </p><p>CULTURAL INDUSTRY AND IDEOLOGY</p><p>This article, based on content analysis, analyzes the discussions about the concept of cultural industry coined and analyzed by Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer and its unfolding in the book Adorno’s Aesthetic Theory, especially cinema. The cultural industry or mass culture comprises the commercial character and industrial mode of production of cultural productions in capitalism, treated even as commodities and their consequences to the public, acting mainly as an instrument of ideological manipulation in the adornian view. However, in Aesthetic Theory, Adorno advances the discussion and admits that despite the presence of ideology, the cultural industry could also develop an alternative space to mass productions. Abstract The eigenfunction of an instability contains information about energy flow in the wave. In this study, the amplitude and phase of electron cyclotron emission radiometer data from hundreds of DIII-D reversed shear Alfvén eigenmodes (RSAE) and toroidicity-induced Alfvén eigenmodes (TAE) are analyzed along the outboard horizontal midplane. The radial phase profile can be flat, linearly rising or falling, convex or concave; in other words, a wide variety of shapes is observed. For a particular mode, often the radial phase profile remains approximately constant as the mode evolves in time but sometimes it changes rapidly. Many TAEs and some RSAEs have phase profiles that are rather flat where the mode amplitude is largest but rise steadily by ∼ 2 π at large major radius. Rapid phase changes are observed when the frequencies of an RSAE and TAE overlap and the modes couple. The phase profile depends weakly on the fast-ion gradient that would appear in the absence of wave-induced transport. Linear and quadratic fits to the phase profiles, together with many plasma parameters, are assembled into RSAE and TAE databases. In both cases, large variability is observed. For RSAEs, the strongest phase dependencies are on electron temperature T e, RSAE mode frequency, and the density of carbon impurities. For TAEs, the strongest dependencies are on beam power and major radius of the mode. In general, the average RSAE radial phase profile is essentially flat but the TAE profile has non-zero slope and curvature.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND Severe Acute Liver Failure (ALF) is a life-threatening clinical syndrome characterized by hepatocyte necrosis, loss of hepatic architecture, and impairment of liver functions. One of the main causes of ALF is hepatotoxicity from chemical agents, which damage hepatocytes and result in increase of reactive oxygen species. The vitamin E isoform is the one with the strongest biological antioxidant activity. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the antioxidant effect of vitamin E in this ALF model. METHODS We used 56 rats (mean weight of 300 g) divided into eight groups, four groups assessed at 24 hours and 4 assessed at 48 hours after induction: control group (CO); Vitamin E (Vit. E); Thioacetamide (TAA) and Thioacetamide + Vitamina E (TAA+Vit.E). Rats were submitted to injections of thioacetamide (400 mg/kg i.p.) at baseline and 8 hours later. Vitamin E (100 mg/kg ip) was administered 30 minutes after the second dose of thioacetamide. The 48-hour group rats received two additional doses of vitamin E (24h and 36h). At 24h or 48 hours after the administration of the first dose of TAA, rats were weighed and anesthetized and their blood sampled for evaluation of liver integrity through enzymes aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT). Liver tissue was sampled for assessment of lipid peroxidation (LPO) by the technique TBARS, antioxidant enzymes SOD, CAT, GPx and GST activity, levels of the NO 2 /NO 3 and histology by H&E in two times. The results were expressed as mean ± standard deviation and statistically analyzed by ANOVA followed by Student-Newman-Keuls, with P <0.05 considered as significant. RESULTS After treatment with vitamin E, we observed a reduction in liver enzymes AST (U/L) (101.32±19.45 in 24 hours and 97.85±29.65 in 48 hours) related to the TAA group (469.56± 0.69 in 24 hours and 598.23±55.45 in 48 hours) and ALT (U/L) (76.59±8.56 in 24 hours and 68.47±6.49 in 48 hours) compared to the TAA group (312.21±10.23 in 24 hours and 359.15±17.58 in 48 hours). There was a reduction of LPO (nmol/mg Prot) in the TAA+Vit.E group (0.77±0.07 in 24 hours and 0.95±0.08 in 48 hours) compared to the TAA group (1.50±0.07 in 24 hours e 1.65±0.16 in 48 hours). SOD decreased in the TAA+Vit.E group (49.48±9.47 in 24 hours and 62.45±18, 47 in 48 hours), related to the TAA group (98.46±15.48 in 24 hours and 154.13±21.46 in 48 hours), as well as GST (nmol/min/mg Prot) in the TAA+Vit.E group (350.57±36.93 in 24 hours and 453.29±13.84 in 48 hours) compared to the TAA group (561.57±64.56 in 24 hours and 673.43±38.13 in 48 hours). There was an increase in CAT (pmol/min/mg Prot) in the TAA+Vit.E group (3.40±0.44 in 24 hours and 3.0±0.35 in 48 hours) compared to the TAA group (1.65±0.21 in 24 hours and 1.86±0.42 in 48 hours). The GPx (nmol/min/mg Prot) increased in 24 hours in the TAA+Vit.E group (1.01±0.16) compared to the TAA group (0.41±0.04) and decreased in 48 hours (1.19±0.17) compared to the TAA group (1.76±0.21). There was a reduction in NO2/NO3 (mmol/L) levels in the TAA+Vit.E group (31.47±4.26 in 24 hours and 38.93±5.20 in 48 hours) compared to the TAA group (49.37±5.12 in 24 hours and 53.53±5.97 in 48 hours). The histopathological evaluation showed a decrease in liver injury (necrosis and inflammation) in both studied times. CONCLUSION These results suggest that vitamin E was able to protect the liver from lesions caused by thioacetamide.

At this time the business process activities carried out by corporate organizations are virtual or commonly referred to as E-Commerce. The use of e-commerce has now become a very high trend phenomenon. Currently e-commerce is needed to meet the needs of society in the digital era, e-commerce is used as a place to purchase products and even services. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is a model used to provide an offer to the acceptance of e-commerce usage and behavior for its users. In this study, a study will be conducted to measure how far e-commerce applications are accepted by the public. And the results show that all hypotheses are accepted, which means it shows that the e-commerce application has been accepted by the community. This is supported by the influence of the variable stimulant of 79.2%.

En ce sens, compte tenu de la position de la ville sur les rives de la Save et du Danube, c'est-?-dire pour l'?poque, sur la fronti?re nord de l'Empire byzantin face au royaume de Hongrie, les guerres opposant ces deux Etats constituent le th?me le plus fr?quemment des ?crivains m?di?vaux. S'agissant de la ville m?me les sources du XIIe si?cle ne nous en offrent aucune description pr?cise. Les auteurs grecs et latins se contentent le plus souvent de faire ?tat de quelques donn?es de base ? son sujet, ?voquant sa position g?ographiques et son aspect. L'auteur de ce travail communique une partie des r?sultats d'une analyse comparative des donn?es sur Belgrade au XIIe si?cle contenues dans les oeuvres des contemporains et t?moins visuels. Particuli?rement importantes sont ici les donn?es conserv?es dans l'oeuvre historique de Jean Kinnamos, qui a s?journ? ? This study investigates the imperative to adopt e-learning and how it influences educational process sustainability. For developing countries, adopting e-learning has always been a challenge because of the lack of mechanisms due to the resistance of teachers and students, low level of information and communication technology (ICT) literacy, and lack of ICT infrastructure. A quantitative research methodology was used by applying a hypothesized extended model of the technology acceptance model (TAM) for the adoption of e-learning. The factors were investigated by analyzing the intentions of 367 students and teachers. Data were collected through an online questionnaire. This study aims to identify the factors that influence students’ and teachers’ attitudes toward the adoption of sustainable e-learning and illustrate the moderating role of the mentality acceptance factor in the relationship between system trust and interaction, on the one hand, and PU and PEOU on the other. Findings of the study indicated that all TAM constructs significantly impact the BI of e-learning use. Additionally, the results showed that mentality acceptance substantially moderates the relationship between system trust and interaction, on the one hand, and PU and PEOU on the other. These findings suggest that educational institutions should focus on factors influencing teachers’ and students’ attitudes toward adopting and using e-learning services. Lack of internet connection, ICT skills, and technology capabilities are the main issues, and the main TAM constructs of all factors.

E-learning adalah kegiatan belajar yang menggunakan internet yang dapat dikombinasikan dengan kegiatan tatap muka yang ada di lembaga pendidikan. Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FPMIPA) UPI telah mengembangkan sistem e-learning berbasis open source sejak tahun 2005. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis tingkat penerimaan user yaitu dosen dan mahasiswa terhadap sistem e-learning FPMIPA UPI dengan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) melalui analisis model persamaan struktural (Struktural Equation Modeling/SEM). Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat faktor-faktor yang saling berhubungan serta berpengaruh terhadap tingkat penerimaan e-learning FPMIPA. Perbedaan individu berpengaruh terhadap persepsi kemudahan, organisasi bahan ajar elektronik dan persepsi kemudahan berpengaruh terhadap persepsi kemanfaatan, persepsi kemudahan dan kemanfaatan berpengaruh terhadap minat, dan minat berpengaruh terhadap kondisi nyata penggunaan. Dari hasil tersebut, maka para pengguna akan senantiasa secara nyata menggunakan e-larning FPMIPA sebagai bagian dari sumber dan media pembelajaran sehari-hari. Keberadaan pemahaman akan manfaat sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor di luar pengguna yakni organisasi bahan ajar elektronik yang dimiliki. Lain halnya untuk pemahaman akan adanya kemudahan menggunakan e-larning FPMIPA dipengaruhi oleh faktor luar yakni kondisi dari perbedaan individu pengguna.Kata kunci: E-learning, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)

Para pelajar maupun pengajar berinteraksi tanpa bertatap muka secara langsung. E-learning system yang digunakan pada Universitas Advent Indonesia adalah Moodle. Dengan adanya Moodle ini para mahasiswa dapat mengumpulkan tugas dan mengunduh materi perkuliahan yang diberikan oleh dosen. Sedangkan bagi dosen dapat mengunggah materi perkuliahan dan mengunduh tugas yang sudah dikumpulkan oleh para mahasiswa. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui apakah seluruh menu dalam Moodle telah digunakan secara optimal atau tidak, dan (2) untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh persepsi manfaat dan kemudahan dalam penerimaan pengguna terhadap Moodle Universitas Advent Indonesia. Sedangkan hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Penerimaan Moodle pada Fakultas Teknologi Informasi Universitas Advent Indonesia dinyatakan baik, (2) penggunaan keseluruhan menu dalam Moodle belum optimal, dan (3) persepsi manfaat dan kemudahan mempengaruhi penerimaan pengguna terhadap Moodle.

In tourism, ICT provides new channels anywhere/anytime for tourism services that impacted how customers access and consume those services, hence the emergence of the concept of e-tourism. Internet can be used to attract customers, communicate with them, customize their required services, access international markets, and provide all types of touristic information through e-tourism platforms. The salient feature of this research is to identify the key technological factors that influence customers' acceptance and use of the services provided through e-tourism platforms. Other behavioral aspects related to the use of these services are treated as exogenous factors. The study constructed an e-tourism technology acceptance model (ETAM) concentrating only on technology-related factors. To assist in understanding how users will reflect in these four technological factors affecting the use of e-services, the model recognizes two moderating influential factors: trust and attitude. The model is augmented with exogenous factors as intervening factors related to customer's background.

Oleh karena itu, <em>e-Payment</em> memegang peranan penting dalam proses transaksi jual beli pada <em>e-Marketplace</em> khususnya dalam transaksi pembayaran. Seringkali pengguna memiliki kekhawatiran tersendiri dalam melakukan transaksi pembayaran menggunakan <em>e-Payment</em>, salah satu kekhawatiran paling mendasar adalah mengenai jaminan integritas keamanan data dan privasi data pelanggan. Kepercayaan pengguna dipandang menjadi suatu resiko besar yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap minat pembelian pada <em>e-Marketplace</em>. Melalui penelitian ini, akan dianalisis bagaimana tingkat pengaruh kepercayaan pengguna pada <em>e-Payment</em> di Indonesia terhadap transaksi pada <em>e-Marketplace</em> memakai metode <em>Technology Acceptance Model </em>(TAM) versi 3. User trust is seen as a big risk that can have an influence on buying interest in the e-Marketplace. Through this research, it will be analyzed how the level of influence of user trust in e-Payment in Indonesia on the impact of purchases on e-Marketplace using the Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM 3) framework. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant and hepatoprotective activity of Croton hypoleucus (EC). The present work reports the first pharmacological, toxicological, and antioxidant studies of EC extract on liver injury. Liver necrosis was induced by thioacetamide (TAA). Five groups were established: Croton Extract (EC), thioacetamide (TAA), Croton extract with thioacetamide (EC + TAA), vitamin E with thioacetamide (VE + TAA) and the positive control and vehicle (CT). For EC and EC + TAA, Wistar rats (n = 8) were intragastrically pre-administered for 4 days with EC (300 mg/kg.day) and on the last day, EC + TAA received a single dose of TAA (400 mg/kg). At 24 h after damage induction, animals were sacrificed. In vitro activity and gene expression of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (Cat), and Nrf2 nuclear factor were measured. The results show that EC has medium antioxidant properties, with an IC50 of 0.63 mg/mL and a ferric-reducing power of 279.8 µM/mg. Additionally, EC reduced hepatic damage markers at 24 h after TAA intoxication; also, it increased SOD and Cat gene expression against TAA by controlling antioxidant defense levels. Our findings demonstrated the hepatoprotective effect of EC by reducing hepatic damage markers and controlling antioxidant defense levels. Further studies are necessary to identify the mechanism of this protection.

Purpose The present research aims to identify determinants for citizen’ behavioural adoption of e-government, explore relationships among these variables and investigate whether the proposed model can provide a more comprehensive manner to understand the adoption of e-government. Design/methodology/approach First, a survey is administered to collect data, then the Cronbach’s alpha is assessed for internal consistency of measurement scales; second, confirmatory factor analysis is conducted to evaluate the measurement model; finally, a structural equation model is used to test the proposed hypotheses and explore the determinants of e-government adoption. Findings Results indicate that the proposed model is a stable model with powerful explanatory of variation. In addition, some new relationships in the e-government context are found, whose disposition to trust has positive effect on social norms, whereas perceived risk negatively influences perceived behaviour control. Moreover, other key dominants have been investigated. Originality/value The findings have enabled us to better understand factors affecting intention and also provided a solid theoretical research model for future study.

Abstract: One business models of E-commerce which well-developed is E-Marketplace. The internal competition of E-Marketplace remains tough yet some achieve its successful compared to the others. The parameter of successful E-Marketplace can be seen by the numbers of acceptance by the costumers. Hence, this research on E-marketplace acceptance is significant to be done. This research takes a case study in one of the Indonesian markets, named the ‘Pusat Perbelanjaan Mentaya’ (PPM) regarding the use of the E-marketplace. This research aims to find out the adoption of e-marketplace acceptance. Our research model based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which is modified by adding shopping enjoyment variable (Flow Theory). This research applies quantitative research method; spreading questionaries and surveys. The data obtained were 240 from the PPM consumers who use E-marketplace application. Then the data would be used to examine the relationship between the variables of the proposed model. The results of this study show that the perception of the use of E-Marketplace application effects the perceived benefits. This due to the ease of operating the E-marketplace service affects users, moreover, sales and purchase transactions become more effective and efficient. In essence, the ease perceived also has an influence of the users’ attitude. This shows that E-marketplace service users feel that using these services increases effectiveness and benefits; they will not refuse to use E-marketplace services. The results in this study that the variable attitude towards use of Behavioral Intention is not accepted.
