This thesis aims to analyze the reshaping of the Lebanese political system during the post-war period, in line of the development of recent and singular associations. These last are qualified as "civil" in the study, organized around "civic" causes, in the field of human rights, ecology, public freedoms, etc. , within the "civil" space of the public action, neither communautarized nor militarized. Whereas in the 1990's, the policy of reconciliation and reconstrution takes part in a recomposition of the rules of the political game within communitarian and clientelist logics, the existence of marginalized voices invites to wonder about the redefinition of the relations between political institutions and a society in transformation. Based on a long-term field-investigation in the nineties, the study focuses on the motivations of the militants: their representations, their modes of action and their multiple inscriptions in a political arena constrained by many variables. The emergence of their collective action takes place at the crossroads of three issues: how to give an account of logics which do not fit directly in a confessionnal or clientelist outlines ? How to read the early stages of a search for pacified modes of political regulation ? How to contribute to the analysis on the articulations between civil society and political society ? The study combines the examination of the internal dynamics of these associations, their collective action, their participation in the public agenda and finally of the passage to the political arena of some of their militants. As a last ressort, it raises the question of the forms of collective action in a very comparative perspective
Bouilly, Emmanuelle. "«Du couscous et des meetings contre l'émigration clandestine» : mobiliser sans protester au Sénégal." Thesis, Paris 1, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017PA01D089.
The thesis focuses on the technologies of solving social problems and of expressing grievance in Senegal. lt demonstrates that dissent, mobilization and protest are not always equivalent and argues for their analytical boundaries to be specified. Drawing on criticisms of the cultural turn and those of feminist studies addressed to the theories of collective action, the thesis stresses the postulates and blind spots of the concept of social movement. Historically located, this concept does not capture some of the forms of mobilization on non-Western areas. Based on a qualitative and quantitative survey, carried out between 2007 and 2012, mainly of an association of migrants' mothers, the thesis shows that in Senegal there is an option that may consist of mobilizing without protest. This expression means that social actors can use a hybrid organizational repertoire (advocacy association, self-help, mutual savings, work cooperative) - which targets the State as much as it does not - as well as modes of non-confrontational action to public authorities (testimonies in the media, participation in political meetings or international conferences). Without resorting to protest action, the discourses and practices of these non-protest mobilizations are nonetheless politicized. The thesis shows in particular how the industry of aid has seized gendered techniques of mobilization and entrepreneurs specific to the Senegalese political field in order to carry out its own missions

Lefrançois-Yasuda, Carole. "Représentations du texte littéraire oulipien et pratiques d’écriture. Mobiliser l’imagination pour apprendre a écrire." Thesis, Paris 3, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA030043.
The topic of our research was defined by one assessment: writtenwork, in particular of non-native French speakers of advanced level, maynot be reduced to the mere application of the rules for different types oftext constructions. Based on the requirements of the CECR, weimplemented writing exercises under Oulipian constraints [fictionalwritings] and exercises of scientific writing in order to understand theextent of possible improvements when learning how to write, in the frameof didactics of languages, sociology and education research. The data has been collected in the Université de Technologie deCompiègne [UTC]. We have chosen a class group of 18 students andhave been using two types of investigations: one of the representations that the student-engineers have of writing, to show how, through the symbolic link they establish between the social environment and themental world, these representations facilitate autonomous writing andencourage imagination. The mobilisation of cognitive processes involvedin the practice of imaginative and scientific writings is the subject of thesecond investigation. Then, from these results – in the continuation of the fundamentalwork accomplished in the field of French as a Foreign Language didactics that started in the 1970s – we aim: i. to observe and analyse the activerole of imagination, the imaginary and creativity when learning how towrite, and ii. to point out the necessity of reassessing imagination and theimaginary in pedagogy. Finally, in order to reconcile all learners with thewriting process, to modify their demand towards a specialisation infunctional text writing, we have dealt with writing like a defined activity, which can be learned and carried out. Its phases and processes can bedemonstrated and appointed as in resolving a problem by means of imagination to build up the learning process
A new educational sector has emerged since the 1960’s in the Lebanese shiite community ; it consists of different associational networks connected to political or religious movements or situated in their sphere of influence. These communal schools are taking place into a liberal, fragmented competitive system ; they emulate the christian sociopolitical model, which partly rested on the development of confessionnal schools. Such an institutionnalization is promoted by the Lebanese State which delegates a large part of the public social action to the confessionnal communities. The demographic, economic and geopolitical dynamics have also comforted the shiite consolidation during the last decades. These schools are embedded in a whole set of mobilizations and represent a lever for the leaders, in a context of fluid social sectors. They take place in personnal political strategies as well as in global social projects, the more elaborated being Hezbollah’s, whose aim is to build a “resistance society”. If Hebzollah does not sum up the various dynamics in the shiite community, it tends to have a growing influence among the group since the 1990’s, through a sphere of influence whose frontiers are blurred and evolutive. In this sphere and to a lesser extent in Amal’s, the new schools promote the emergence of a “second generation” of militants, which is also a new middle class prone to rebuild the structure of the community. The new shiite schools are thus a good object to understand some of the social dynamics in Lebanon

The current French housing crisis rises the question of land production for housing development. Local authorities are often considered as the major responsible for the land unavailability, because of their lack of means or of political will, or because of bad scale coordination between local decision-makers (municipalities/multi-municipal administrations). The thesis addresses this view through an empirical study. We analyse practices and strategies of local authorities (municipalities and multi-municipal administrations) in favour of land production for housing development. This analysis applies to medium-sized agglomerations, the Pays Voironnais (Isère) and the Beauvaisis (Oise), which need to stimulate residential and economic development while facing local resources decrease. We find varied municipal profiles (urban suburban, rural) in those territories, which may influence the perception of land issues. Comparison is made with a Dutch case (Nijmegen). For our empirical analysis, we inventory all municipal interventions in land and property, in order to identify the levers (tools, procedures) that supports the land production and the control of housing projects. This method allows us to redefine the outlines of what is actually a land policy, taking into account the diversity of experiences and practices of local authorities. This work questions the obstacles and incentives of local land policies and gives sense to those practices that are rarely expressed as public policies
Ngoua, Ella Cyrrus. "Connaissances mobilisées par les élèves du secondaire dans le domaine des fonctions, approche comparative entre la France et l'Afrique francophone." Electronic Thesis or Diss., Bourgogne Franche-Comté, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023UBFCD066.
This thesis in mathematics deals with the notion of function. Indeed, we are interested in the knowledge mobilized, knowledge used, by secondary school students, in France and in French-speaking Africa, in front of tasks related to functions according to three points of view: didactic, epistemological and cognitive. In the first part, the thesis studies the way functions are given to us through The history of this concept based on the article The Concept of Function up to the Middle of the 19th Century by Professor A.P YOUSCHKEVITCH:logic modern mathematics has discovered difficulties for a universal, non-algorithmic definition of a function. In a second part, we ask ourselves the question of what can students do with functions? Why this question ? Indeed, the concept of function occupies an important place in the school programs as well as in each of the mathematics tests, especially in the baccalaureate. In our capacity as teachers, we wanted to understand what can explain the failure of students in the mathematics test in secondary school. In order to better understand what can explain the phenomena observed in secondary school students when solving tasks related to the notion of function, we decided to start from a corpus built according to the formulation of Elena Tognini-Bonelli. From the analysis of this corpus of student tasks and activities on the student side, on the teacher side and on the institution side, it emerges that: the definition of the concept of function is not assimilated by secondary school students; they have arrived at an algorithmic level of the use of functions; Entry by tasks is best suited for teaching functions; the conformity of seeing f or f(x) in a table, etc. We have recalled beforehand the results of work prior to ours in relation to the teaching of the notion of function
Arrigoni, Mathilde. "Se mobiliser en situation autoritaire : une comparaison des contestations théâtrales argentine et chilienne (1973-1990)." Thesis, Paris, Institut d'études politiques, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013IEPP0038.
In Argentina, the Proceso de Reorganización Nacional is soon challenged by the emergence of a mobilisation movement in 1981, Teatro Abierto, which will last until 1986. In Chile, under Pinochet's regime, many hubs of theatrical protest proliferate in Santiago, however, the theatrical profession does not succeed in creating unity or gaining visibility. This thesis questions the concepts of resistance and mobilisation, and endeavours to solve this initial paradox: why and how does a branch of the performing arts manage to mobilise itself in an authoritarian context which seems, at first glance, more closed than any other. Besides the historical and macro, meso, micro-sociological characteristics of the two professional groups under study, it appears that the nature of the repression (whether structural or individual) and its consequences are a crucial variable to understand the dynamics of political commitment. The results of the qualitative survey, carried out over a period of nine months, and including interviews, collection of life stories, participatory observation and research based on records, show that the repression at stake under the Proceso leads to a specific economy of affection among the members of Teatro Abierto; which explains in some respect the transition towards mobilisation. The artists undergo a double emotional transformation, in order to, on one hand, move from humiliation to indignation, and, on the other hand, rehabilitate – within the public place and thanks to the specificity of the theatrical mechanisms – the euphoric and playful emotions that were banned by the regime. On the long run, mobilisation enables the actors to rebuild their damaged self esteem, to increase their symbolic and political capital and to allow the audience to militate against the regime and live by proxy

The history of genomic research can be characterized by the appearance of a new relationship to scientific work, becoming the object of quantifications as the instrument of a production. This led to various rationalisation of work organization for genetic mapping and sequencing based on the automatisation of procedures coupled to recompositions of work division. The mobilisations of those techniques led to the rise of productivity of genomic centers as a dominant norm in this field. Functional genomics appeared in a second time, based on the use of technologies like DNA arrays. Presented in opposition to the former methods of genomics, it evolved from the same skills in automating the manipulation of molecular libraries and of data management. Its appearance can thus be seen as an extension of automation, from sequencing to the measurement of gene expression
Durand, Gentil Pascale. "Comment les managers de proximité développent- ils une capacité à mobiliser l'intelligence collective de leurs équipes ?" Electronic Thesis or Diss., Rennes 1, 2021. http://www.theses.fr/2021REN1G026.
In order to manage uncertain and complex situations, companies have been, for the past fifteen years, considering collaboration as the most appropriate way to organize work. Thus, a concept has emerged in management science: collective intelligence (Zaïbet, 2007), (Lévy, 2007), (Malone and al., 2010). In order to successfully implement this concept, front line managers, despite being closest to the collective dynamics of teams, are ignored or singled out (Getz, 2017), (Laloux, 2014). This thesis offers an alternative vision of the concept in which the mobilization of collective intelligence requires that front line managers develop the capacity to act in awareness and in situation. Drawing on Theory U, (Scharmer, 2009) a model of collective intelligence transformation based on the dimension of presence (Senge and al., 2004), and on the notion of management situation (Girin, 1990; Journé & Raulet-Croset, 2008), the thesis reconstructs the analysis of 57 situations and narratives collected in immersion with 12 proximity managers in 6 companies at different stages of transformation. The micro-phenomenological analysis of the data enabled the modelization of collective intelligence and of the front line manager’s conscious and situated capacity to act, in contrast to the usual normative and performative models. By focusing on dimensions considered as not measurable in management, such as the inner state of a manager, his or her listening or connecting gestures, this approach to collective intelligence contributes to HRM research centered on humanization

People who are diagnosed with advanced stages of lung cancer suffer from different impacts of the disease and treatment of the latter. In consequence, their quality of life is affected and they frequently suffer from distress. Hope, in these patients, may have a positive outcome on their physical and psychologic experience in regards to the disease. Mobilizing hope can constitute an intervention to support the adaptation of patients diagnosed with lung cancer of advanced stages. From a professional standpoint, and by their proximity with the patients and their relational skills; a nurse holds a key position to intervene at this level. The interventions that can mobilize hope in patients are scarce in todays literature and contain very few details. This descriptive qualitative research has as a goal to explore the interventions used by these nurses to mobilize hope in these patients. Two research questions are formulated: How do nurses perceive hope in patients who are diagnosed with advanced cancer and what interventions do they use to mobilize this hope? Ten nurses working with patients diagnosed with advanced lung cancer in a cancer research center in Quebec City were questioned in a semi-directed individual interview. The nurses perceive hope as the wait for a positive outcome. The reported interventions are described as four functional attributes of the Farran, Herth, Popovich (1995) model; the experiential process, the relational process, the spiritual and transcendent process, as well as rational thought process. Although a large number of interventions are focused on the relational process, very few rely on the spiritual and transcendent process. By appealing to different processes, this conceptual method can be useful to guide nurses in their choice of intervention aimed to mobilize hope in their patients.

During the World War I, the industries of the wool and the cotton find themselves pulled(entailed) in the industrial mobilization. The intervention of the State in these branches shows itself essential, and a new relation becomes established between the public authorities and the companies. The modification of the colour of the uniform, its wide distribution about eight million conscripts over four years and the loss of the industrial areas of the North and east lead to the putting under control of the State of almost all the wool trade, whereas the cotton industry remains independent until 1917. This relation extends to the imports of raw materials, with a progressive centralization which excludes any private business(trade), but associates traders and industrialists. Besides, the management of the workforce constitutes a daily challenge for companies. The need in workforce remains important, and the difficulties bound in working conditions and to the increased cost living trigger social tensions, in spite of the “Union sacrée” respected by labor unions. At the same time, the loss of the main industrial territories represents a chance of a lifetime for the other regions, among which those whose textile industry is on the decline before the war. The high demands of the army and the high prices of private trade yeld important profits, and lead the State to adopt a war tax system and to repress the abuses. The return of the stricken industries at the end the conflict, the question of war damage and reinstatement of Alsace-Lorraine put the textile industries in the face of radical changes

The 2012 French presidential campaign was marked by the Internet's prominent role in providing information, debating on-line, mobilizing, and organizing activists in the field. This turn to digital tools allows for a reexamination of central themes in the study of political parties, thereby contributing to the debate on party transformations in terms of organization as well as actors who get involved and use the tools. This comparative study examines the recruitment of campaign team members, relations between the media and political communications professionals, as well as changes in political activism
Thiandoum, Barbara. "Se mobiliser contre la violence et le VIH : dynamiques subjectives de l'engagement associatif des femmes à la Guadeloupe et à Saint-Martin." Thesis, Antilles, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017ANTI0196/document.
Being involved in an associative movement against HIV/AIDS and/or violence (and discrimination)is not only a practice, it is a social relationship, because it takes place in a context which ischaracterized by power and domination relationships. In Guadeloupe, an exploratory study on thestructuring processes of associations against HIV/AIDS led to the discovery of an organizationbased on three associative positions of women – the « consumer », the « worker » and the« entrepreneur ». Beyond their different positions, the autobiographical narratives of these womenare mainly structured around experienced violence (or discrimination). Our hypothesis is that theseassociative positions are based, among other things, on the specificities of these women’sexperience of violence and discrimination. Thus, the proposed thesis seeks to relate the positionoccupied by these women in associations fighting HIV/AIDS and/or the violence to the modes ofsubjectification they have adopted in a postcolonial context marked by socioracial issues. The studyfocuses on how these women express themselves and narrate their experiences of violence (ordiscrimination) according to their associative position and the interpretative, discursive andemotional resources and models that were available to them. The issues are raised in the context of research on dominance based on an intersectional approach. Their resolution is set in theethnographic field, based on data collected during personal interviews such as life and practice (n =15) narratives and on seventeen Focus groups of thirty women involved in associative movementsagainst HIV/AIDS and/or violence in Guadeloupe and Saint Martin. It seems that the observedassociative positions are determined by a specific combination of resources and a tendency to getinvolved, which correspond to specific modes of subjectification in this spatial context

Background: With an excess mortality compared to the national average, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a real issue of Public Health and Therapeutic Education (TVE) in the Nord Pas de Calais (NPDC). When a crisis arises, the patient and his family must bear management until help arrives. Objective: To characterize the decision-making skills to mobilize the patient and his family in crisis situations ; define the conditions of acquisition and implementation. This research is part of a social constructivist approach in which interactions between panelists are asked to reach a consensus. Method : Delphi method over 18 months with 278 "experts": 82 caregivers multidisciplinary and 196 patients, members of Associations and Heart Health NPDC with five successive questionnaires : Q0 demographic data, Q1 define the crisis, Q2 identify situations (frequency, severity), Q3 prioritize skills, Q4 determine the conditions of their acquisition and mobilization (feasibility and limits). Results : 20 skills are characterized and prioritized through a process of consensus that reflects the influence of opinion among panelists and their adjustment. "Identifying the warning signs," "Call a rescue service" get a strong consensus (90%). Perspectives : methodological research from e-Delphi is envisaged for continue the work on characterization of skills about a larger number and a more diverse group ; determine decision-making skills allow to adjust, now, the regional educational programs

This research aims at understanding the stakes of the career transition of high-level athletes, in order to determine the obstacles to training they encounter and consequently recommend principles of accompaniment. We more specifically try and determine to what extent those athletes may mobilize their experience of uncertainty so as to embrace their career transition in the context of distance learning. For this purpose, we first describe the characteristics of the identity of high-level athletes by tackling the legacy of their history as well as the particularities of the intensive practice of sport in a competitive environment. We then analyze the implications of career transition for this specific audience. We have noticed that high-level athletes are likely to experience uncertainty through career ruptures and identity crises; in order to better understand the moving forces of that experience, we attempt to define and examine four characteristics of uncertainty, i. E. Indetermination, unpredictability, confusion of standards and uncertainty regarding knowledge. Our study then consists in analyzing four interviews with two high-level athletes in the course of career transition through distance learning. The first one is a life-story interview tracing the personal, professional and athletic path of the athletes. The second tackles their experience of training so as to observe the evolution of representations connected to the aforementioned uncertainties in their discourse. We notably conclude that career transition cannot succeed without concerted adjustment regarding this transition between all parties involved, starting with the overhauling of the notion of double projet which entangles the athletes in a certain form of guilt

In 2012, in South Korea, an association of breast cancer patients organized a silence vigil before the Constitutional Court to criticize unequal access to breast reconstruction surgery. This unprecedented collective action by patients demanding better access to health care questions the link between emancipation and collective action. This study examines to what extent the collective action and the discourse of patients mobilized to demand better access to breast reconstruction are emancipatory and explores other possible ways of emancipation. An ethnographic survey was carried out in Seoul for 7 months between 2013 and 2014 and a sociological intervention was put in place for three months in 2015. The observation of patients' daily lives took place in the national patients’ association and in a public hospital. About 60 interviews were conducted with women and professionals who work with (breast) cancer patients. The thesis accounts for the way in which breast cancer is introduced into the national welfarist politics and economy and while being crossed by social norms. The analysis reveals the messages conveyed by women in the name of their liberation. It also shows their messages foster tensions between patients of different socio-demographic profiles rather than attenuating them, while promoting conformity with social norms and the biomedical culture of cancer. French public entities (the State, local entities) can be owners of real property or movables. When these movables have a cultural value, they can be a matter of what the French law calls ‟domaine public mobilier”. These properties are subjected to legal rules which grant them a particular protection: they are inalienable; they are subjected to special rules regarding their preservation, their safety and their security. And these properties are subjected to particular legal rules allowing people to discover them in public museums, in public exhibitions, etc. How does the law identify these properties? Is the inalienability of these properties as “authoritarian” as the law wants it? These questions are in the heart of the present work

How does one create a future for severely ill patients, who are in a vulnerable condition, unconscious and connected to machines? This is a situation that is staged when anaesthetists talk to each other about patients when one work shift ends and a new one goes on duty in an intensive care unit. The thesis shows how the anaesthetists create images of the patient by means of numerical values, social information and their own knowledge and experience of other patients and their development. In the study, the talk is analysed as characterized by a professional orientation, where the patient is dealt with as a representation, an object of knowledge, and a project for care. The study is based on field work among anaesthetists in a major hospital and on an analysis of seventeen hand-over talks. It is interdisciplinary, with inspiration from medical sociology, communication studies, and social studies of technology. The first empirical part of the thesis discusses the framing of the talk as a communicative activity, its character and its relationship to the anaesthetists’ work outside of the meeting room. The second empirical part focuses on how anaesthetists construct the patient and their tasks in the talk. Excerpts from different talks are used to analyse how the doctors interpret different aspects of the patients’ past situation and care, present medical status, and possible future developments. Key concepts used are ‘mobilising worth’ and ‘life device’.

Movable public property shall be understood as the set of personal property placed in a patrimonial legal relationship with public entities. These goods are characterized by their mobility (such as movable private property), that is to say an ability to circulate, physically and legally, a flexibility and fragility medium, favouring the dissociation of their utilities. But the central question remains whether public ownership is still a relevant instrument for understanding this mobility. It turns out that public ownership, when called upon, potentially exerts an effective force of attraction on all movable public property; thus it allows slowing down their circulation. However, once the good’s ownership has been claimed, public property law is not sufficient to monitor the integrity of movable public property. It doesn’t stem their natural crumbling and evaporation. It is even challenged by other legal relationships which, by dissociation of goods’ utilities, and by unbinding ownership and use, lead to question its relevance

The Tec & Mobilier business project is the first virtual platform in Peru that will allow you to customize your multifunctional furniture; the business consists in the sale and distribution of furniture online, allowing the user to enter the measures he needs, according to the space where he is, and the color he prefers, to then manufacture and deliver the furniture within a maximum period of 72 hours (3 business days). The creation of our virtual platform is aimed at a young audience that already has a department, and given the trend of the size in which they are sold today and the lifestyle that young people handle, their main problem is the lack of space and time to find the ideal piece of furniture; and it is here where we appear, offering them speed and comfort in the purchase of their furniture and adding a super feature "Multifunctional Being" allowing to optimize each space within your department.

The study of Parisian furniture of lacquer was never really dissociated from the general history of Parisian furniture of XVIIIth century or, sometimes, related, in a broader way, without being truly deepened, to the 'chinoiserie'. However, nobody has analyzed, so far, the lacquer and its market in France during the XVIIIth century, on the ground of archives documents, which is crucial for a good understanding of this kind of furniture. The creation and trade of such particular furniture was conditioned by the great difficulty to obtain in Paris high-quality panels. After having studying the lacquer's market, we suggest to start on the different lacquer used in the Parisian cabinetmaking, together with their reproductions carried out according to the 'vernis martin' technique. Then, we will be able to deepen Parisian furniture of lacquer's trade -the most important of all-, hold, not by cabinetmakers, but by 'marchands-merciers' delivering sparingly lacquer panels that the cabinetmakers could not acquire due to their high price. Finally, we will study the cabinetmakers position, then we will deal with amateurs and collectors of lacquer and lacquer furniture and particularly the royal taste for them, on the basis of numerus documents from the 'garde-meuble de la couronne' kept in the National archives

Lease-purchase contracts are always among the ones needed in a company rescue. However, insolvency law is perceived as an elusive law which is constantly changing and never definitively completed. Therefore, this study aims to carry out an "audit" of lease-purchase contracts related to the handling of struggling businesses. With no status of any king, the lessor must begin an insolvency procedure to protect his capacity as owner of the leased property and to try to get back his property. Accordingly, he will try to recover the debt and related expenses which remain unpaid. The owner can undertake this approach in the frame of insolvency proceedings, or alternatively outside of insolvency proceedings he can call on guarantors or guardians to assume their responsibilities. This scheme of national law is not impervious to French law via community law and more broadly it can be affected by the globalization of business. Thus, the price of opening "financial borders" results in the lessor covering two aspects in order to escape unscathed from cross-border insolvency proceedings initiated against the debtor. Utimately, more than a simple description of the state of the law, with regard to the importance of contracts studied in corporate finance, we suggest that the legislature take into account the "notion of a major production tool" in getting institutions to establish "special statuses" failing that they should recognize a "special regime" in bankruptcy proceedings for each recovering business

Is it then possible to give a single and coherent definition of them ? first of all, all the transferable securities stated by law as securities are drawn up. After an historical survey, the field of securities is defined and a concept is proposed as follow : long term investment securities issued in identical series. Secondly, an analysis of the notion shows that the standing characteristics are appearing without altering their true nature. Therefore, the concept of securities stands as a basic notion of commercial law, between company law property law

The first part of this thesis dealing with the study of the contract of leasing concerning bankruptcy or winding-up emphasizes the weakness of leasers co-contracting creditors. The demonstration can be proved by the established fact that the control of his contract is missing. He cannot choose to break the relationships granted by contact, pleading his partner's bandruptcy or winding-up. He cannot either stand in opposition to the transfer of his contract to the buyers of his indebted firm. The risks of non-payment debits previous to the opening judgment of the buyer's bandruptcy or winding-up are great. Even if the solution deserves some touches, the established payment garanties to the benefit of creditors, subsequent to the opening judgment, will be, in most cases, a lark-mirror. The rule of unreliability characterizes the payment of the creditor leaser. The second part of this thesis put forward the powes of the leases co-contracting ownes. His overwhelming power is, however, submitted to the condition of opposability of his patent rights. Since the law of the 10th of june 94 this has been reduced as a regular publication of its contract to the record-office having juridiction, which, howeres, remains the weak spot of the leaser. Once his opposability right on ownerships has been laid down the leaser can carry it out with a certain adaptability. Moreover, the legislator protects the leaser from the daywhen his ownership right was transferred

This work is based on a new method of analysis of metallic objects combining quick identification of artefacts and use of qualitatitative and quantitative analysises. Metallic groups are studied in Minimum Individual Number, which allows for the first time the analysis of different types of objects in the same reasoning. This aims at building metallic facies of celtic cultual places, which autorize to compare them on tangible bases. First, this method is used and tested on the reference site of La Villeneuve-au-Châtelot (Aube). Then, the method is extended to several sanctuaries of the north of France. Thanks to this study it's possible to define different ritual practices, to characterize some liturgical objects and some offerings. But it's especially possible to distinguish three types of sanctuaries, which show compexity of celtic religion but also its homogeneousness in the north of Gaul

Never before have so many moved so frequently as now. Mobility lies at the centre for the concern ofstates, business and technological development. Some even claim that we are witnessing a mobility turn inthe social sciences. However, as the capacity to move has increased so too has the control and surveillanceof mobility become more extensive. Since September 11, 2001 security has been the defining paradigm fora variety for actors. The mobility security regime implies among other things that passengers are in somesense always suspect. The securitization of mobility, however, is not a post 9/11 phenomenon. TheSchengen Convention has lead to a dismantling of the inner borders of the member states of theEuropean Union. The Constitution of the European Union guarantees the four freedoms of circulation –of goods, services, people and capital. At the same time Schengenland implies also that the mobility ofnon-Europeans is highly monitored and controlled. The paradox of “free” mobility and heightened control of movement is the major theme of this senioressay. Airports have emerged as a key channel and space for securing and sorting out mobilities. Thus, thesecuritization of mobility has made airports key spaces that enact differential mobility rights. How doesthe securitization of airports affect the mobility rights of individuals and what consequences do thebiometric and digital controls have for individual travellers? These are the questions that are examined inthis essay. Theories of mobility, security and images of threat provide the analytical context of this study. The empirical material draws on interviews made with individuals that have experienced “ethnic profiling”and have been the target of extra security checks. In order to provide a more nuanced picture of oursubject, we have also interviewed passengers who experienced “positive discrimination”. The material athand also includes on interviews with security staff as well as security training personnel. One of our conclusions is that people of foreign origin or with a non-Scandinavian look are morelikely to be the object of additional security checks. All of the informants substantiate that security checksat airports are not random and are convinced that the reason for the additional security check is fear ofcertain kind of people. Predictably, those responsible for the security maintain that this is not the case andclaim that the possibility of making subjective judgements and control people even if the metal detectordoes not give off an alarm signal, is a part of the security routine. Passengers are thus unaware of whetherthe extra controls are based on spot-checks or the subjective assessments of security staff. The subjectiveelement combined with media images and threat discourses increase the likelihood for “ethnic profiling”of passengers.Key words: airports, place, mobility, security, profiling, threat discourses

Despite being responsible for 90% of cancer mortality, metastasis is not well understood. This thesis is focused on the circulation step of the metastatic cascade, examining three types of mobilized tumor cells: circulating tumor cells (CTCs), intraoperatively shed tumor cells, and malignant pleural effusions (MPE). We investigated the functional behavior of mobilized tumor cells in order to explain the discrepancy between the number of tumor cells in circulation and the number overt metastases. The first part of this thesis examines the functional behavior of CTCs isolated from the peripheral blood of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer patients. Individual CTCs were compartmentalized using arrays of nanowells to enable clonal comparison and mapping of heterogeneity. The viability, invasiveness and secretory profiles of CTCs were measured. Only a subset of CTCs was found to possess malignant traits indicative of metastatic potential. These CTCs were resistant to anoikis, were invasive or secreted proteolytic enzymes. The second part of this thesis determines the presence of intraoperatively shed tumor cells using blood samples withdrawn from the pulmonary vein after pulmonary lobectomy procedures. Previous studies did not distinguish tumor cells from normal epithelial cells specifically or sensitively. Single-cell genetic approaches were used to compare the genotype of isolated single cells to matched tumor cells and normal adjacent tissue, thereby confirming the malignancy of shed epithelial cells. The third and last part of the thesis delineates the tumorigenic population with surface markers using MPEs. A total of 35 surface antigens were screened from four categories: 1) cancer stem cell 2) epithelial-mesenchymal transition 3) metastatic signature and 4) tyrosine kinase receptors. Surface antigen CD24 was found to be specifically and abundantly expressed in MPE, and was required for the colonization of the lung. In conclusion, metastatic inefficiency is due to the presence of inactive cells and cellular heterogeneity. Inactive cells are either normal epithelial cells or apoptotic tumor cells. Cellular heterogeneity may arise from differences in surface marker expression or functional states. Therefore, only a subset of mobilized tumor cells can give rise to metastases, and therapeutic strategies should be focused on this subset.
