As immemorial reserves of the human condition, the myths are present in all societies. They organize cosmovisions, propose solutions to dilemmas, enigmas and contradictions that the real world cannot solve. As machines of time suppression, as defined by Claude Lévi-Strauss, the mythic narratives do not submit themselves to the linearity of history. Joseph Campbell (1904-1987), centerpiece of this thesis, a north-american born in New York, occupies a place of great remark in the pantheon of mythological interpretations. The greatness of his work is more than recognized, although the comprehension of his ideas still remains shy in Human Sciences. It is a body of work that is open to the various cultural devices which, beyond science, include literature and cinema, the latter being responsible for the popularization of Campbell‟s ideas with the Star Wars series. The thesis invests in the life and work dialogism from a bibliographic incursion; it traces the most representative itineraries of Campbell‟s life (Stephen and Robin Larsen) which led him to discuss the functions and potentialities of myth in contemporary society; it sketches the scenery of science in the interior from which emerges the north-american mythologist; it exposes a synthetic archaeology of the figures which constitute The Hero of a Thousand Faces; it exposes the author‟s arguments concerning his treatment of the recurring themes in mythical narratives (cultural diversity) towards the universality of culture (archetypical unity of the myths); it presents the chronological mapping of the author‟s work in the original editions in English and its translations in Brazil; it exposes and problematizes stemming from the research on the Thesis‟ Database of Capes the resonance of Campbell‟s ideas in the Brazilian scientific production (1990-2010); and it presents, in full, interviews with two experts and translators of the author‟s works to Portuguese. The central argument of this thesis is the indissoluble relationship between the author‟s lived experience and interest for the study of myths, that is, the contingencies of life which illuminate the choice of a study theme, above all those which are rooted in infancy and adolescence. Because he is a transdisciplinary thinker who moved in the dominions of art, literature, science and religion, the polyphony contained in his compared study of world mythologies demanded, from this research, a dialogue with authors from different and complementary areas like Carl Gustav Jung, Jean-Pierre Vernant, Edgar Morin among others. The basic interpretative soil centered on nineteen fundamental works translated in Brazil. The thesis has as a horizon to establish connections between science and arts, towards the constitution of a fundamental anthropology of universalist, complex and transdisciplinary base

Understanding the context of the image and reflect on their possible interpretations have been an ongoing search in the media area. This work seek s to comprehend the relationship between photography and other fields of knowledge. Besides, we propose to discuss and reflect on this scenario, going through the various movements that contributed to the legitimization of contemporary photography. Under the influence of performance studies, photography and acting together assumed an important role in the process of signification imagery. For this reason, photography is the place of its event and i s thought as part of the actions and contributes to build an audience. We will study the work of David LaChapelle, surrealist photographer, we consider to be currently the largest heir of a line of photographers and artists that supported the visual arts of the twentieth century. The aim of this dissertation is to analyze how LaChapelle redefines a proposal in terms of performance. What is behind these images is undoubtedly a challenge, mainly methodological. For this reason, the importance of knowing the creative process and the photographic techniques employed by LaChapelle helps us to understand the elements used in his photographs. Among the main elements identified, our observation will focus on the theme, editing techniques, the ultra-saturated colors and the poses of his characters. These elements are active in a performative dimension, which is bounded to a better understanding, in theatrical, audiovisual and chromatic.

Full textThe objetive of this thesis is to analyse the self-writing of the Russian poet and writer Daniil Kharms (1905-1942): his notes in notepads, his almost-biographical prose, such as the novel Old Woman (1939), his letters and self-portraits, especially in the 1930s, a time when these arts about oneself start to interact in a more emphatic way, when the writer and his work mix up in a very particular way. As the study on his notepads defines the central element of this research and this material has not been previously published in Brazil, it will be also presented a translation of a part of his notepads and little diary, from 1924 to 1940. Furthermore, by the perspective taken in this study, a detailed biography of the author was conducted. Kharms was one of the founders of Oberiu, the last avant-garde Russian group. Hence, the study also debates the importance of the art and philosophy of Krutchónykh, Khlébnikov, Bergson, Malévitch e tchinari to the work of Kharms, who became one of the most singular and talented contemporary Russian authors, compared to Franz Kafka, Eugène Ionesco e Samuel Beckett.

Full textThis Master’s thesis discusses Onė Baliukonė’s and Nijolės Miliauskaitė’s poetry focusing on the dreams, memories and visions of the lyrical subject. Both poets, representing the middle generation of poets (the centre of which consists of the poets that were born within the period of 1945-1955), in their works, emphasize the importance of personal experience, and the cultural experience of the lyrical subject that drive her self-perception processes. The work aims to show that the personalities of the women of Baliukonė’s and Miliauskaitė’s poems are forming when the past merges together to the present: their childhood is reflected based on once-heard tales and legends, while the lyrical subject is constantly teetering between imagination and reality, between dream and reality, thus connecting the two existential spaces. The world of dreams and myths and the past of the lyrical subject are perceived as the opposite of the chaotic present. Being unable to make a distance between the reality and herself, the woman of the poem is persecuted by the feeling of meaninglessness and loneliness. The shelter is found in the arms of the other (to who is nestled when dreaming) or in nature, which serves as a conveyor to the primordial being. Nature helps to connect with the other side and, by transforming the ancient faith, the lyrical subject looks back to the paganism. The Master’s thesis analyses and compares with each other all the poets’ collections, indicating what unities and what... [to full text]

Abstract: The goal of this Master's thesis is to analyze a mythological narrative of the Makurap indigenous group. The language spoken by this group belongs to the Tupari linguistic family of the Tupi stock. The Makurap people live in the Guaporé Indigenous Area, in Guajará-Mirim (state of Rondônia, Brazil), close to the Bolívian border. The narrative analyzed here, ¿THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD¿, is found in the two modalities of the language: oral and written. I obtained the oral narrative during a fieldwork in the indígenous area, and the written narrative was published in the book "Terra Grávida" by the anthropologist Betty Midlin. The characters of these mythological narratives - supernatural entities and ancestors of the group - join forces to bring order to the world and to create linguistic differentiation among human beings. In this Master's thesis, the term "narrative" is understood as a pragmatic unity (written or oral) which takes form in the interlocution act, in the process of interaction, or in other words, as a text according to the Discourse Analysis perspective. Under this perspective, mythological narratives are understood as presenting an indoctrinating and ideological nature. Given that the mythological narratives analyzed here were obtained in distinct situations and with different purposes, I point out some textual (reference and progression) and discursive characteristics (the contact among different indigenous groups, and their contact with Whitemen) related to the conditions of production of these narratives

This thesis aims to study the articulations and tensions that exist in the 21st century musical myths, and will verify the possibility of tracing a 2000?s mythic construction paradigm to understand the plurality of proposals, platforms and contemporary languages. For this, it presents its own analysis method to think about the total artist concept. An illustrative cut occurs through David Bowie, Kiss and Lady Gaga?s music videos. Bowie will be presented as one of the very first total artists in pop culture, fowward by Kiss, and Gaga. Music videos will be presented as encapsulated operas. In the end, the thesis discuss the adversongs, an union between music, and advertising, apex of the total artist of the 2010 decade.

The first part of this work explains cultural, social and theoretical sources of Grotowski´s thought and practice, and demonstrates the relationship between his individual searches and his theatrical career. The second one puts in discussion modes to interpret myths in Grotowski´s work, its function, its significance and its influence on different kinds of artistic process: choice and treatment of texts, audience parts, actor´s work on character composition and actor ´s training. Theoretical references about mythical and symbolic questions are extracted from symbolic hermeneutic theory. In terms of conclusion, this dissertation puts in relief similarities between actions in the heroic mythology and Grotowski´s work, fundamentally, sacrificial acts as an way to consolidate an spiritual dimension

Abstract: This study intends to analysis the making of Juscelino Kubitschek's political myth, from the manifestation of the mythological images that forms it. The postulate is that the 50 years were a period of profound uncertainties. As a result there was a great effervescence for the imaginary dimension of Brazilian society. The myths and political mythologies produced a new myth and a reelaboration of known political mythologies. To analysis this matter it is necessary to apprehend the images and the imaginary of Juscelino's myth represented by the memory produced by different social groups like intellectuals, popular classes, political counterparts, biographers, and Juscelino himself. This political myth comes from his proper intervention in the process of construction. In a certain moment of its institution it answers the hope and the wishes of people who dreams about a better future. That myth stimulates the creator powder of the mythological imaginary of the returning to a time of happiness, harmony and prosperity - the time called The Golden Age. Some times confounded with modem political mythologies, the impression of Kubitschek's myth - he was the principal personage of the "golden years" - was done because of the story of his life. That story is told according to logical stages of a rise and fall continuum or ages of appeal, power and glory, and finally martyrdom of JK

The main objective of this dissertation is to investigate the construction of senses in televised images from the so-called “C class”, especially on Globo TV channel. That interests how, from the appropriation and denomination of a deprived sociological sense of class, the TV station has contributed and fixed images related to this audience. The study is guided by the concept of myth which is offered by Roland Barthes in his semiological analyses of discourse and mass culture. The mythical speech can understand writings or representations and all media that can suit as a support, as far as the naturalisation of ideologies and social practices are observed. Authors from different theoretical perspectives, who are relevant to this proposal, are investigated. Television is approached from its insertion in cultural industry, according to references from critical theory, bearing in mind its important role to the formation of a common repertoire towards different classes, areas and groups concerning a debate about reality. It is highlighted that television had developed itself linked to social, economic and political transformations that have influenced not only its technical evolution, but also its content and discourses. This dissertation involves a retrospective through moments of our television history, searching intersections between the content and televised outreach, plus increase, maintenance or transformation of consumer market at certain moments, based on authors such as Hamburger, Ortiz, Bucci and Motter, among others. We emphasize images formulated in fiction from patterns of collective consciousness about Brazilians. The interest is to reflect about the way such figures are activated in imagination about urban and regional outskirts, contributing to constructions related to this “C class”. Texts from Marcelo Neri that specifically deal with this “C class” and search to locate the group in terms of the “new middle class” are summoned to oppose authors such as Jessé Souza and Márcio Pochmann. At Globo, the symbolic recognition of the existence of this “new middle class” has been reflected in humorous, fictional and news programs. We consider the years of 2011 and 2012, when the “C class” theme at this TV station lined not only the press, but also arose researchers’ interest, those who were involved in television studies, mostly soap operas. For analysis, we scrutinize the soap opera called “Cheias de charme”, that had stood out in the time period mentioned above because of its formal and content elaboration related to the “Class C”, besides the recent ideas of modernization and social transformation

Full textContemporary Visions tackles, from the point of view of the connections among art, fashion and photography, three important themes of the development of contemporary visual culture – beauty, gender identity and fiction- which are connected the great mythologies that occupy the collective imaginary. The myth is something we all accept and recognize as such, sometimes without even knowing why it occupies our imaginary. Between myth and photography there is a profound symbiotic relationship since both have the power to persuade us of their truth, as something that has always belonged to our memory. Despite of the de-idealization promoted by the art of the Avant-Garde, today’s society “still has many mythologies worthy of careful investigation”. Scientific and technological development and the growing diffusion of advertising, movie and photography have produced a sort of re-enchantment of collective life. In its close relationship with mass culture, the Art interprets, consolidates and breaks the mythical ideas that occupy our imaginary. In the age of technical reproduction, with the fall of what Walter Benjamin has famously described as “aura” of artwork, many contemporary artists put us in front of important examples of a deep connection of the dichotomy art-business. The “commercial” aspect blends so closely with the artistic quality, that is a serious research work that attempts to reflect on the most controversial themes of our society and to provide answers to the needs of the reality to which it belongs, that appears unnecessary and counterproductive attempt to define clear boundaries. In these cases, the fusion between art and social reality, traditional heritage of the Avant-Garde, is total.

The present work deals with the Kurdish political processes in the struggle for selfdetermination of Kurdistan, in particular in the development of the Group of Communities of Kurdistan (KCK) and Democratic Confederalism as an alternative organization model to the nation state. Using the method of ethnographic research, the work seeks to identify in the so-called ‘resistance mythologies’ of the Kurds, the metanarratives that construct the background on which are inscribed the current political actions of the movement for the self-determination of Kurdistan. It focuses specifically on the myth of Newroz, which is the myth of Kurdish creation and the celebration of the New Year. The work also seeks to relate the Kurdish community in the territory and diaspora, seeking to identify the use of these resistance mythologies as tools of political mobilization and to compare their impact on the community in the diaspora and in the Kurdish territory. The dissertation also gives a brief analysis of the solidarity committees as tools to build a network of international solidarity and to insert the struggle for self-determination of Kurdistan in a broader context of anticolonial struggle.

Full textThe stories related to the myths try to express a truth, which cannot be captured in any other way. The myths are the search for this truth. In his stories, Monteiro Lobato searched for the truth taking his characters in trips through the times. Based on the intertextuality, the present dissertation has the aim to contrast the text The Minotaur from Monteiro Lobato to other texts written by other authors, focusing on the way that the story is told and the knowledge transmitted to the reader. To make this possible, this work will found its studies on Monteiro Lobato, A. S. Franchini, André Gide, Carmen Seganfredo, Joseph Campbell, Junito Brandão, Odile Gandon, Thomas Bulfinch and Viktor D. Salis. For the intertextuality analysis, the authors Barros and Fiorin, Bakhtin, Kristeva, Koch and Travaglia were taken as a reference. Lobato, on his text, used a very simple language to tell stories about Ancient Greece and, as the story goes around, he gives a lot of word definitions and makes it clear how important Greece was to the development of arts, science and, the influence of the Greek language on the Portuguese.

The devotion to Our Lady of Remedies left Portugal and landed on Brazilian soil around the eighteenth century. It came to the village of Taubaté by a route used for internal commerce, mainly gold, between Minas Gerais and the Vale do Paraíba. In Taubaté, there was a rural neighborhood called Vale do Itaim that, from the arrival of the image around 1750 and because of the great devotion raised, now it is called neighborhood Nossa Senhora dos Remédios or, as the local people say, Remédios. From the assumption that Our Lady of Remedies belongs to the cultural imagination of the local population, the purpose of this research is understand how it is constructed and how it operates religious social imaginary in the neighborhood. For this we use authors as Claude Levi-Strauss, Marcel Mauss, Mircea Eliade, Pierre Bourdieu, Michel Foucault, among others, as well as newspapers of the nineteenth century and interviews with local residents in order to see how this Christian myth and their meanings act in the system beliefs of Our Lady of Remedies neighborhood population

After situating Vico in the Naples of his time and in relation to the questions of modern rationality, as well as carrying out an exercise of philosophical reflection seeking the understanding of the worldview of Vico, this piece of work aims at making explicit the ethic that underlies his work as an ethic of teleological character which privileges the practical life, evidencing a concern for what man can and should do of himself, notwithstanding the guardianship of a divine providence in a cyclical history. However, within the advent of the "age of men," it is verified a process of unfoldment of the human nature in which the development of the individual starts to dictate the development of the community; at the same time, the predominance of abstract rationality dissociated from other human faculties – such as imagination – leads to a preponderant literality in the interpretation of mythology, which pervades the doctrines of religions, moving man away from piety, with the consequent loss of both social cohesion and the human sense of the world. Hence, man decays in the age of the gods, submitting himself to heteronomy in the face of the eternal ideal history. It is identified with the present thesis, therefore, the "master key" indicated by the Napolitan himself with the imagination that underlies poetic wisdom, the application of this interpretative key of the method of his work – the new critical art – is extended to the solution of the pretended paradox between the autonomy and the aimed happiness by a teleological ethic and the cyclical repetition of the eternal ideal history

Full textVytautas P. Bložė, Donaldas Kajokas and Rabindranath Tagore are well acquainted with indian Vedic mythology, therefore in their poetry they adjust it interestingly and beautifully, by revealing the meanings of different phenomenons, and in this way enriching lithuanian poetry. Most of the attention the poets allot to the moon trop, the relationship between the soul and the Supersoul and the archetype of God Krishna, less attention – to the sacred tree and flower. Kajokas attaches great importance to the moon. Bložė's moon induces spiritual growth and does not allow to yield to material darkness, it is also divine person with limitless world. To Kajokas it is not only the light, destiny, but also God (with moonlike face), who plays the flute, it is the trope of a woman and a child too. And for Tagore the place of the moon takes God Krishna Himself with His moonlike face. Their moon is always acting divine person, what is the characteristic of indian mythology. The motive of the relation between the soul and the Supersoul is very significant to the poets. All three of them lean on the allegory of Vedic scriptures and present this trop as two birds. The bird Supersoul always advises what to do for Her minor to make itself free from low whims, by reviving divine friendship. Tagore's bird is endlessly happy being together with the Lord, Bložė observes these birds and Kajokas' bird is unhappy, because it doesn't heed to the Supersoul. J.R.R. Tolkien began writing his stories in the early twentieth century, with the intention of creating a mythology to his country, England. It is for this purpose that he builds an extensive set of tales, of which The Silmarillion is the reunion of his main narratives, whereas they narrate the beginning of a world known mainly for being the scene of the events of The Lord of the Rings. Thus the objective of this work is to show if Tolkien was even able to create a mythology, and try to point out how he did it and what influenced him in that trajectory, using, for this, not only critics of the work of the author, such as Tom Shippey and Amanda Dutton, but also theorists whose works are recognized in the analysis of myths, such as Eleazar Meletínski and Joseph Campbell.

The Lord of the Rings.

This study analyzes the major works of William Blake, showing his tendency to create a mythology of its own, based on Judeo-Christian mythology that ran through his visual and poetic work. In this sense, his work can be understood as mythological, inserted in the representations of English romanticism. It can see how these peculiarities inherent to its formation as a poet and illustrator as well as influential graphic arts indirectly and occultism of his age directly

According to some concepts of Gilbert Durand (sociocultural topic of the imaginary, semantic basin, mythanalysis, day and night regimes of the imaginary), this doctoral thesis searches for two cultural topics from the religious: the mythology of orixás (African) and the Umbanda (Brazilian). Both considered having the same semantic basins and typified as belonging to the same night regime of the imaginary (however, Umbanda is in a phase of transition of regime). In the imaginary study of several populations, Durand organized the mythological expression in two different regimes: the night and the day regimes. The first is the regime of antithesis, the Manichaeism, the universe divided in opposites (the good versus the evil, darkness versus light), the tormented man, polemic, dual, divided in his psyche and his needs to put in order the chaos. The second is the one that unifies and synthesizes the opposites of the universe, the regime of the integral human and allayed with himself. The great family of the orixás, with its thematic unity, his habitus and the euphemic ideology, it is the example of the night regime. This reveals the ethos of a population psychically allayed with itself that solves all of the existential problems by the oracle of Ifá and the offering of gifts to the orixás that answers the demands for happiness, welfare and fortune. Created by the oral collective tradition, memorized by the balalaôs and repassed generation by generation, the mythology of the orixás is the set of narratives of the orixás, the gods of the iorubá African people. The believers receiving their gods in rituals typified with drum sounds, songs, dancing and parties characterize the mediumistic phenomenon of possession, during the celebrations. This is the tradition that arrived in Brazil with the slaves in the XVI century, syncretized with the Catholicism, as a mechanism to avoid the discrimination that the blacks have suffered from their white lords, therefore, resulting in many celebrations of African matrices, which Candomblé and Umbanda stand out. In the present work, the mythanalysis of orixás shows separately the meaning and significance (the two parts of the linguistic sign and symbolic signs). To this reason, the significance is the sensitive part, figurative, concrete and linked to the imaginary with narratives and their contexts (characters, plot, action, time and space); the meaning is the thematic aspect, abstract with some approaches of interpretation: anthropological, historical, social, psychoanalytical and archetypical. The Umbanda, that was born in this semantic basin, in modern times, in the XX century, is a Brazilian religion, which was raised from the synthesis among these celebrations of African matrices, Catholicism, Kardecism and the native indigenous rites, creating, yet, recent myths according to the Brazilian reality. The Umbanda inherited many traces of the basin-mother and the most remarkable of this religion is the practice of the mediumistic appointments with mediums incorporated by spiritual entities that are similar to the oracles of the orixás, taking care of people in existential difficulties, solving magically all the problems they present. Thus, the discourse of legitimation and social acceptance is set, the Umbanda follows its moral principles; practice the good and the good through charity, like the Christian principles.

This work aimed to analyze the contribution of African mythology as an educational tool as an interdisciplinary form in the education of youths and adults (EJA).The metaphors contained in the African myths were focused as relevant elements of articulation into the daily life of the students of the EJA. Thus, it is hoped that African mythology, articulated with school content, will enable learners to better understand scientific concepts, when they depart from oral histories produced by human kind to explain the creation of the world; our existence and the cycles of nature; life and death and other themes. In this way, a bibliographical research was carried out, followed by a critical and reflexive analysis on the subjects in question and, later, following the same scientific rigor an educational activity was applied in a fifth year classroom of the education of youths and adults of the night period. The results of the analysis of the researches showed that the insertion of the African mythology in the school environment is potentiating the process of learning the scientific contents; from the moment in which the students of the EJA can understand the articulation between the metaphor and the scientific knowledge during the participation in the development of the educative activities. The results have brought important elements, since they show the need for a more in-depth study of the metaphors contained in African myths, since it is not always possible to make this articulation with ease. The research evidenced the need for more research and reading by the teachers so that the articulation between the scientific content and the metaphor is perceptible during the application of the activities, consequently, so that the students themselves can interact and dialogue about the scientific content and potentialize the Learn.

_______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
The 20th century began propelled by acceleration and with cities fascinated by the speed promised by cars and airplanes. One hundred years later, the city seeks to restore the quality of life provided by slowness, promoting walking and the use of bicycles. These scenes show the contradictory importance given to rapidity and morosity in urban projects. Indeed, since the oldest human settlements, quickness and slowness were wrapped in significance and values seen in cave paintings, mural inscriptions, ceramics, statues and mythological narratives. Faced with that, this thesis assumes that there are archetypes of human mobility carved in the dawn of history and passes through the ages shaping mentalities and cities. The intentions here are: a) exploring the interpretations given to speed and slowness in the origins of western urban thinking; and b) investigate how the city – from the streets point of view – has been adapted to vehicles and pedestrians flows along time. The study is conducted by two research questions: 1) What are the meanings and values given to vehicles (velocity) and pedestrians (slowness) in the dawn of society?; and 2) how the morphological aspects of streets throughout history reveals the city´s preferences for cars or pedestrians? The hypothesis are two: 1) the admiration for the vehicle is an archetype that precedes the use of automobile; 2) along the urban evolution2, the city gave preference to the main streets and the cars, compared with the investment made in local streets, slowness and pedestrians.

This study intends to make a demonstrative of five cosmoginic myths, initially selected out of three judgments: concerning, in a certain level, to civilizations with diverse characteristics; held to be, historical and culturally important civilizations; and at last, by interests of cultural proximity, was made use of a brazilian cosmogonic myth. The aim of this work is, to show that in these myths, we will find mythems that are basic structures that reveal important questions of the psychic happening. Bringing mythology to an update situation, we perceive that the everyday human dramas are handled in the investigated myths. Symbolically, mithology deals with the same questions, and with man from all cultures. Making use of a junguian approach, we can understand that this repetition of mythems happens because they belong to the collective unconscious extract. The understanding of what this was, threws up the possibility of working with clinic psychology, permiting people to acquire consciousness, of the mythic 'construction of their just the unconsciosness of living it, which in many cases links the human being to this determinism, preventing any creative thing in his own life. Understanding health as a possibility of free-will, it is important for this, the knowledge of those basic questions, so ordinary to humanity. The understanding of these structures, is the possibility of liberation.

Full textThis research aims at the deduction of an axiology of contemporary living expericences in consumption practices, specifically in the commerce of Sanrio s small gifts, imprinted with Hello Kitty character. This way, we seek to understand through it wide mediatic reach the means by which the brand funds social archetypes in the purchase and use of its products. As the theoretical and methodological background we propose discursive semiotics as a social action theory, offering subsidies related to the consumption study in capitalist societies. The research is guided by Greimas narrative semiotics postulations, in the same way as the advances that guide significance understanding as the sensitive experience of life practices. Simultaneously we approach Sanrio s manifestation through Floch s plastic and figurative semiotics as a bricolage an enunciation of the culturalized world. In order to better understand the consumption performances, Landowski s sociosemiotics is proposed as an analytical fundament of not only intersubjective relations, but sociabilities interactions and consumers modalizations as a form of taste and contemporary lifestyles. Progressively will be analyzed: (1) the brand s identity visibility and its symbolic repercussions; (2) Hello Kitty s presence as the brand s spokesperson and its manifestation in the product lines; (3) sensitive interactions promoted among consumers in the sharing of images and the brand s ownership, in the contemporary stage of social enactments, the digital space. In the construction of archetypes motivated by the purchase and hoarding that identifies and homologates identities we can catch a glimpse on the brand s visibilities as a social way of existing. Nourished by capitalist society, Sanrio elaborates new components of small contemporary mythologies
