Abstract:

Abstract:
Laying hens are one of the poultry commodities that have an important role as egg producers in supporting the availability of cheap and easy to obtain animal protein. Provincial government NTB has determined that one of six strategic programs in the vision and mission of the 2019-2023 Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) is animal husbandry and processing industries (DisKop NTB, 2022), including laying hens. This study aims to determine the amount of business income and the efficiency of the laying hen farming business which was carried out in Barabali Village, Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency from August to October 2022. The method used in this research is a survey method and interviews with laying hen breeders who have chicken farms with a capacity of 500-1,000 heads. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is business income analysis by using the formula: π = TR – TC or income (π) is obtained from the difference in total revenue/acceptance (TR) and total cost/variable costs, while business efficiency is calculated using the formula RC Ratio = PK (Gross Income) divided by TBP (Total Cost of Production). The results showed that the average income of laying hens in Barabali Village was Rp. 380,080,000,-. The efficiency level of laying hen farming business based on the R/C ratio is 2.29, meaning that this business is feasible to develop. Laying chicken farms in rural areas should increase production by increasing capacity because they still have vacant land and utilize chicken manure waste and used feed sacks as additional income to increase business revenue.

Abstract:
The Fine Arts class of the Academie Royale de Belgique is celebrating its 150th anniversary. The Institut de France has just celebrated its bicentenary. This coincidence serves to remind us that the links between our institutions have been close, not only through the exchanges which link them, but through our associated membership of each other's institutions. Such events provide the occasion for us to ask ourselves about our role in today's world. Through our independence, through the skills which our companies bring together, and through our desire to be useful to society, we can and we must exercise our responsibilities. It is this sense of responsibility which has underlain the process of discussion which has accompanied the bicentenary of the Institut de France. The Academie des Beaux-Arts also has a part to play in this movement. It does this by continuing to uphold the artistic tradition, by encouraging and protecting the arts, by advising the public authorities, and by defending our heritage - both national and international - when it is threatened. Over and beyond these functions, the Academie's mission includes supporting the spiritual dimension of art, which our modern world of machines and profitabiblity has a tendency to forget.

Abstract:
Uncertainty in an increasingly competitive business environment, especially in the raising and emergence of several new companies in travel transportation services, should encourage a company to be able to have better performance to compete. Companies are faced with various threats and opportunities that emerge in the business environment, thus exposed to the uniformity of the company’s performance measurement tools as an instrument of the company’s performance evaluation. Measurement of company performance applied by Baraya Travel Bandung still use traditional performance measurement, incomprehensive and not optimal yet. Baraya Travel Bandung needs a performance measurement tool that can provide an overview of the overall achievement of the company’s business. The design of performance measurement tool that became the purpose of this research is Balanced Scorecard. The design of performance measuring tools using the Balanced Scorecard begins with translating the company’s vision, mission and strategic objectives that are linked into four perspectives in the Balanced Scorecard.

Mbuyi, Benoît Kulaya. ""From 'the exclusion from' to 'the sharing of' God's Baraka": Genesis 32-33 as a Paradigm for a Theology of Reconciliation for the Mission of the Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo." Thesis, Boston College, 2018. http://hdl.handle.net/2345/bc-ir:108069.

Abstract:

Reconciliation is based on a change in the attitude of humans toward one another and toward God. Jacob returns to Canaan to obey an order of God and to fulfill his promise. His encounter with God upsets him. His deference to Esau shows a change of attitude that produces a reciprocal effect on his brother. By sharing his wealth, Jacob recognizes the goodness of God who has filled him, accompanied him on his return and touched Esau to welcome him. Esau, also beneficiary of God's generosity, knows how to forget the past and to show himself in favor of his brother. The two brothers are blessed, and they bless each other. This mutual blessing goes beyond the sharing of material wealth. The forgiveness granted and received constitutes a central piece where each protagonist feels lifted up: Jacob recovers his status of a brother (no longer a target to be destroyed), and Esau’s face reminds the loving face of God. And I think, this is the moment when reconciliation happens between the two brothers. The account of Genesis 32-33 provides us with the (historical) example of a process of reconciliation anchored in a spiritual vision, with the participation of God and human beings. These features of Jacob-Esau process of reconciliation can be built upon to foster reconciliation among the estranged individuals and groups in the Congolese and African context

Abstract:
The Romeros arrived in Santa Barbara in August 1957 and lived with the Stoddards. The city and its mission had been established in the eighteenth century by Spanish padres. Celedonio gave his debut recital in the U.S. on June 13, 1958, at the historic Lobero Theatre, and it was a big success. Pepe also performed that year, demonstrating his skill as a flamenco guitarist. Celin was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1959 and spent the first part of 1960 at Ft. Ord taking basic training. The quartet was formed at this time as a result of a family concert at the base and the offer of fellow soldier Jim Lucas to manage the quartet.

Abstract:
This chapter provides an overview of key arguments and goals. A key mission of the book is to help scholars of political communication and digital media contextualize and better understand the shifting practices by campaigns long before Barack Obama was a household name. To do so, this study borrows from the work of Robert Denton, looking especially at the political and social context, the organization, fundraising, and image construction of the candidates, as well as factoring in the role of journalists and the hybrid media environment and public opinion polling. I also examine citizen involvement in the campaign. I describe how campaigns’ use of digital communication technologies and the specific affordance of interactivity bring to light that the objective of a campaign is to win—not to fully engage citizens in the campaign. This chapter concludes by providing a brief outline of the book, underscoring the shifting campaign practices that occurred between 1996 and 2016.

Abstract:
Abstract As though to accelerate the trend begun in the 1960s towards strong, more activist First Ladies, a quartette of particularly determined, energetic women passed through the White House in the 1970s and 1980s. What had once been a daring exception, much commented on in the press, became commonplace. Elizabeth ("Betty") Bloomer Warren Ford, in the job less than a full term (August 1974 to January 1977), spoke with such candor about subjects that had formerly been taboo that she introduced an entirely new style; and her support of women’s rights made headlines. Rosalynn Smith Carter (1977-1981) continued Betty Ford’s example of using First Ladyhood as a platform for women’s is sues; but she added a new component by going off on international missions, which the White House billed as”substantive," and then testifying in front of a congressional committee on a mental health program. Nancy Davis Reagan began her Washington tenure in 1981 by insisting that she had little say in presidential decisions. But by July 1985, when Ronald Reagan underwent surgery for cancer, she displaced the vice president from the front pages of the country’s newspapers and announced herself at a White House reception as”the President’s stand in."1 Barbara Pierce Bush (1989-1993) chose to stay in the background on matters of public policy, but she was widely believed to hold strong views of her own on abortion and gun control. Unlike Edith Wilson, who had faced charges of”petticoat government" and”rule by regency," these four encountered only the mildest criticism.

Abstract:
Abstract IN CHAPTER 1 I argued that Jews were much on the minds of nineteenth-century intellectuals in England and America, and in a completely new way, as they began to think of themselves as intellectuals, using the conceptual equipment bequeathed them by their German and other Continental counterparts. But it needs to be added that some of the most important deployments of the figure of the Jew can be found in the genre that, at precisely this moment, was simultaneously experiencing huge popular success and struggling to affirm its artistic prestige: the novel. In this chapter, I want to parse this particular deployment of the figure of the Jew by asking the most vexing (and unanswerable) question of literary analysis: why? Or, more specifically, why here, why in the sphere of high-cultural literary production? After all, in the category-mad nineteenth century, it is unsurprising to find that race theorists, sexologists, and ethnographers all grappled with the question of Jewish difference. At a time when the mass literary market was booming and evangelical culture predominating, it is also unastonishing to discover solemn, didactic romances of Hebrew history circulating in the low- and middlebrow arenas of popular fiction. General Lew Wallace’s Ben Hur (1880) climbed the first bestseller lists in America; Marie Corelli’s Barabbas (1892) did the same in England. Nor, when we turn from the philo Semitic 1880s to the anti-Semitic, antialien 1900s, is it odd to find Edgar Wallace’s paranoid fantasies of world domination by Jewish aliens, anarchists, and Bolsheviks-books like The Four Just Men (1904) or The Council of Justice (1908)-supplanting their more benign biblical precedents in a march into bestsellerdom. What is startling is that Jews should figure with such prominence in a literary culture that was beginning to think of itself as just that, as a distinct zone of imaginative endeavor possessing a distinct and powerful, even redemptive, social mission. And it is equally startling that the matter of Jewry should have been so prominent in the project of self-validation undertaken by writers entering into that zone.
