Abstract:
Warranties in the construction industry have become more prevalent in the last couple of decades. Moreover buyers in the construction industry rely heavily on the length of the warranties for the purchase of any product or service. The warranty is an agreement between the buyer and the manufacturer and has inclusions that if altered voids the warranty. Hence the length of the warranty has no correlation to the actual performance of the product or service being purchased. One of the manufacturers in the construction industry, in order to differentiate themselves from other manufacturers, approached the researchers to implement a system that can better assist and serve their end users beyond just providing a warranty. The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse the warranty tracking program that tracks the installed roofing projects for the manufacturers providing an overall snapshot of the performance of all the installed projects. The warranty tracking program provides the manufacturer the risky projects (leaks, blisters, end-user dissatisfied) with the use of end-user customer satisfaction every year. The researchers also implemented the high performance roofing program and a performance-based licensure process to attract high performing applicators. Since the inception of the warranty tracking program the manufacturer has been able to resolve 69 out of 70 (98%) risky projects. In conclusion, the warranty tracking program provided the manufacturer a better way to assist and serve their end users through proactive resolution of risky projects.

Abstract:
Threats can trigger incidents in information systems (IS) causing damage or intangible material loss to assets. A good selection of safeguards is critical for reducing risks caused by threats. This paper deals with the selection of failure transmission, preventive and palliative safeguards that minimize the maximum risk of an IS for a specified budget. We assume that all the elements in the IS are valuated using a linguistic scale, which is capable of accounting for imprecision and/or vagueness concerning the inputs. Trapezoidal fuzzy numbers are associated with these linguistic terms, and risk analysis and management is consequently based on trapezoidal fuzzy number arithmetic. We model and solve the respective fuzzy optimization problem by means of the simulated annealing metaheuristic and give an example to illustrate the safeguard selection process.

Abstract:
AbstractDigital twins are virtual replicas to simulate the behavior of physical devices before they are built and to support their maintenance. We extend this technology to cybersecurity and integrate it with adversary emulation to define a remediation policy that selects and schedules patches for the vulnerabilities of an information and communication infrastructure before threat actors can exploit them. Distinct twins model, respectively, the infrastructure and threat actors. The former twin describes the infrastructure modules, their vulnerabilities, and the elementary attacks actors can implement. The attributes of the twin of a threat actor describe its attack surface, its goals, how it selects attacks, and it handles attack failures. The Haruspex software platform builds the twins of the infrastructure and those of the threat actors, and it automates the emulation of an actor. In this way, it can discover the attack paths the actor implements without disturbing the infrastructure. In each path, the actor composes elementary attacks to reach its goal. Multiple emulations can discover all the paths of an actor by covering stochastic factors such as attack success or failure. The knowledge of these paths enables the remediation policy to minimize the patches to deploy. Since new vulnerabilities continuously become public, new countermeasures are needed. A twin-based approach supports a continuous remediation process to handle changes in the infrastructure, new vulnerabilities, and new threat actors because the platform can update the twins and run adversary emulations. If new attack paths exist, the platform applies the remediation policy. Experimental data confirm the effectiveness of this approach.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTUrethral catheterization is a technique frequently used in the pediatric emergency department. Intravesicular knotting of the catheter is a rare but potentially preventable complication that can involve significant morbidity. However, because of the relative rarity of this complication there remains a persistent lack of awareness in the pediatric clinical community. The risk of intravesicular catheter knotting can be reduced with proper technique and the correct choice of catheters. We present a case report and list recommendations to minimize the risk of occurrence.

Abstract:
This study aims to configure by identifying opportunities, risks and strategies to minimize the risk ofthe existence of fintech lending as a financial intermediary institution using a meta-synthesis methodological approach. The number of articles sampled as much as 29 articles. The results show that business and investment opportunities in this sector are indicated by a large market share, the number of repeat borrowers, an element of trust between borrowers and lenders, a technology-based and uncomplicated loan system and without business guarantees. While the risk indicated by weaknesses in credit management or credit management is a risk that really needs to be considered, including in determining interest rates, and determining borrowers to be funded without credit analysis considerations. The strategy needed is to use a low interest rate strategy, a better management management strategy, a strategy to capture opportunities as well as a collaboration and growth strategy, as well as the need for the Government to make clear and centralized regulations and P2P platforms. Keywords: Opportunity, Risk, Fintech Lending Strategy, Meta Synthesis.

Abstract:
Non-toxic Neotyphodium (novel endophyte) has been shown to provide similar agronomic performance as wild-type endophyte to deter pathogens without exerting adverse effects on livestock. While the grass/novel endophyte interaction does not synthesize alkaloid peramine that has been linked to mammal toxicity, the connection between wild (naturally occurring) and/or novel endophyte infection and tetany ratio in forage has not been evaluated. The risk of grass tetany was evaluated in naturally occurring endophyte-infected tall fescue grass grown in Japanese Andisol. Three tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) ecotypes (Fukaura, Koiwai and Showa) either infected with Neotyphodium coenophialum (Morgan-Jones and Gams) Glenn, Bacon and Hanlin (E+), or noninfected (E-) were grown in low phosphorus (P) availability black Andisol and high P availability red Andisol under a controlled environment. The biomass nutrient concentration was measured and the tetany ratio, K/(Ca+Mg), was established for all three fescue ecotypes. Results showed that K, Ca, and Mg concentrations and the K/(Ca+Mg) were significantly affected by endophytes, soils, and ecotypes and their interactions. Regardless of ecotypes and soils, K, Ca, and Mg concentrations were higher in endophyte-infected plants when compared to the control. Among the endophyte-infected ecotypes, the Fukaura and Koiwai showed higher K, Ca, and Mg concentrations in red Andisol. In contrast, the Showa ecotype showed higher K, Ca, and Mg concentrations in endophyte-infected plants than the control in black Andisol. Notwithstanding ecotypes and soils, endophyte-infected plants showed lower K/(Ca+Mg) than their counterparts, suggesting that the grass/endophyte interaction could provide a means of reducing the incidence of grass tetany in livestock.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that lead to fraud in a commercial entity. The company that manufactures food, is the subject of this study. You will undoubtedly discover fraud done by connected parties when carrying out producing operations until sales. The owners and staff of production, sales, and delivery companies were observed, and interviews with them were conducted as major data sources for this study. This study provides evidence of fraud. The company should take early preventative measures to avoid risks (risks that are not anticipated by the company) from emerging. And with it, perhaps, the use of fraud risk management will help the business reduce current fraud. Implementing fraud risk management involves a number of processes, beginning with an analysis of the internal environment of the corporate organization, followed by the identification of the hazards (risks) that frequently occur so that risk identification and risk mapping may be done. The final point is how to control those risks. Overall, Wanda Putra Kencana's risk management has been fairly effective; the company has implemented physical control, monitoring, and enforcement, as well as rewards and penalties.

The article examines in detail all the most important aspects of the enterprise financial risk and its minimization. It is noted that in the literature there is no single approach to this concept definition . However, almost all the enterprises face the need to minimize financial risks, the main ways to minimize them are identified by the authors. A new classification of financial risks according to the current economic problem associated with the pandemic is proposed. Insurance and diversification are considered in more detail as one of the most popular and promising ways to minimize risks abroad.

Abstract:
There is constant pressure to reduce engine development cycles to minimize costs and bring forward the revenue earning part of the engine's life. As cost and time are designed out, the risk of performance shortfall must be minimized by bidding efficiencies from demonstrated technology. This requires a large-scale ongoing advanced development program. In compressor development, high-speed tests are unavoidable but are expensive; low-speed rigs are easier to instrument and provide a cost-effective filter for the high-speed designs. The large-scale, low- speed compressor at Cranfield is one of only four worldwide. Recent investment in data reduction software has greatly reduced the test/analysis cycle time.

Abstract:
Çin’in Wuhan kentinde ortaya çıkan COVID-19 virüsü, dünya genelinde yayılarak artmaya devam etmektedir.
