Abstract:
Müasir memarlığın diqqətəlayiq mərhələlərindən biri “minimalizm”dir. Bu hərəkat arzuolunmaz təfərrüatların aradan qaldırılması ilə əlaqədardır və həqiqəti müəyyənləşdirir.Memarlıq elementinin mahiyyəti, məqsədyönlü sadəlik, şəffaflıq və mənəviyyat, onun məkanları təbiətlə qarşılıqlı əlaqədədir. “Minimalist” yanaşma incəsənət, dekorasiya və interyerdə aydın bir irəliləyişi əks etdirir. Araşdırma zamanı müəyyən etdik ki, minimalizm hər şeydən əvvəl detallarla interyerin maksimum ifadəliliyi və üslubunu ifadə edir. Səbəb pula qənaət etmək istəyi deyil. Lazımsız dekorasiya və detallardan xilas olmaqla, canlı təəssürat əldə etməkdir. Bu üslub yeni mütləq forma axtarışı, sadə xəttin ifadəsi, mükəmməlliyə doğru hərəkət, rəng sxeminin məhdudlaşdırılmasıdır. Minimalizmin bir üslub və ya həyat tərzi deyil, daha çox düşüncə və fəlsəfə tərzi ifadə edir. Minimalizmə müasirlərimiz kimi yaradıcı, düşünən, gələcəyə baxan insanlar üstünlük verir. Minimalizm müxtəlif və çoxşaxəlidir, müəyyən edilmiş standartlardan məhrumdur, bu da fərdi, orijinal və müasir bir interyer yaratmağa imkan verir. Memarlıqda “minimalizm” anlayışı, hansı dizayn elementlərinin istifadə edilməli olduğunu başa düşmək, boşluğa “minimal” olmaq xarakterini vermək. mənasını ifadə edir. Məqalədə minimalizm fəlsəfəsinin mahiyyəti açılır, onun dizaynda rolu müəyyənləşdirilir. Açar sözlər: minimalizm, memarlıq, dizayn, interyer,üslub Nigar Emin Rzayeva Minimalism in architecture and its specific features Summary One of the most remarkable stages of modern architecture is "minimalism". This movement is associated with the elimination of undesirable details and determines the truth. The essence of the architectural element, purposeful simplicity, transparency and spirituality, its spaces are interconnected with nature. The "minimalist" approach reflects a clear progress in art, decor and interiors. During the research, we found that minimalism, above all, expresses the maximum expressiveness and style of the interior with details. The reason is not the desire to save money. It is to get a vivid impression by getting rid of unnecessary scenery and details. Minimalism is the search for a new absolute form, the expression of a simple line, the movement to perfection, the limitation of the color scheme. Minimalism is not a style or way of life, but rather a way of thinking and philosophy. Minimalism is preferred by creative, thinking and forward-looking people like our contemporaries. Minimalism is diverse and multifaceted, devoid of established standards, which allows you to create an individual, original and modern interior. The concept of "minimalism" in architecture, to understand what design elements should be used, to characterize the space as "minimal". means. The article reveals the essence of the philosophy of minimalism, defines its role in design. Key words: minimalism, architecture, design, interior, style

Abstract:
Abstract:The minimalist theory of truth (minimalism) consists in all instances of the T schema (‘‘φ’ is true iff φ’) along with the claim that our (primitive) acceptance of these instances is sufficient for explaining our attitudes (e.g. acceptance) in relation to all sentences involving ‘truth’ (‘true’, etc). Philosophers argue that minimalism can neither explain our atittudes in relation to truth-generalizations (generalizations involving ‘truth’) nor deal with the fact that instantiations of T to sentences alike the liar paradox entail a contradiction. Paul Horwich proposes solutions to the two problems, but these solutions conflict with each other. In this paper, I show demonstrate this conflict and analise some strategies to solve it. I argue that Horwich’s solution to the liar problem has important limitations. I conclude that the minimalism cannot avoid conflicts of this sort maintaining its minimalistic character.

Abstract:
Minimalism is a theme on the rise in consumer literature, especially when it involves fashion and minimalist aesthetics. Despite this, there are few studies dedicated to discussing what reactions the minimalist aesthetics may produce on the perceptions of others about minimalists as individuals. With this essay, we fill this gap by discussing what image minimalist aesthetics conveys about people who adopt a minimalist clothing style. We discuss, therefore, how minimalists may be perceived as more competent and less warm people in the eyes of others, in addition to being able to convey an image of rationality in decision making rather than feelings. Finally, this essay opens up the possibility for a wide range of future studies on minimalism in consumption.

Abstract:
This article examines stasis in Chantal Akerman's cinema by means of a genealogical study into its minimalist origins in order to make visible its political operationality in her work and, by extension, its inherent political potential. Stasis is an aesthetic effect generated through the use of repetition, seriality, and duration in temporal media that proliferated in Minimalism across artforms and was taken up by Akerman during her séjour in New York in the early 1970s. The characteristic endless temporality created by stasis in temporal media takes shape in Minimalism due in part to the movement's literalist, phenomenological orientation, which at one point caused Minimalist art to be regarded as nonideological – this while the static quality in Akerman's work appears to be constitutive of its political character. A study of her early films Hotel Monterey (1972) and Je tu il elle (1974), clearly influenced by the Minimalist scene she was immersed in, illustrates how stasis emerges analogously in Minimalist music, dance, and Akerman's cinema. Minimalism's paradigmatically phenomenological orientation and its intricate entwinement with stasis are examined in relation to Akerman's work to reveal their inherent potential for political operationality in art.

Abstract:
‘Making minimalism disappear…’ presents an essay regarding my approach to ‘expansion painting’, and specifically provides a study of another kind of minimalist aesthetic. The account begins with a signature work, Shoji (2015), which is proposed as a way to unfold what expansion painting is. I describe my approach as drawing upon painterly compositional methods but developed through site-specific considerations of architectural spaces, bodies and differing levels of consciousness. The works ‘take place’ when interacting in these layered spaces, or what I refer to as a ‘sense’ of painting space. The article goes on to articulate how – in terms of a western discourse – my works might ‘look’ minimalist but, in fact, are not minimalist art. This article – in representing my practice and providing broader critical analysis – leads us to question an ideology of art history around the enigma of minimalist art, and gives rise instead to another shadowy form of minimalist art. Hence, this article can be said to make minimalism disappear in being haunted by it.

Abstract:
In a novel way, modern architecture has a great influence and impact on present-day contemporary architecture. Since the late 1980s, ?minimalism in architecture has been taken into consideration. Less is more is emphasized, which adheres to the philosophy of filling the space with the necessary items and clearing unneeded clutter to allow room for significant materials and objects. With simple shapes and clear lines, a neutral color scheme, and plain textures, minimalism exudes calm. Minimalism is about eliminating life's excesses. We can find freedom, contentment, and the ability to concentrate on what matters most. Whether it was during the sustainable era or in the twenty-first century, minimalism is adopting the conventional "less is more" way of life. In addition to displaying a wide range of hues, architecture is a form of art. Iranian architecture embodies historical grandeur and devotion, a commitment to religious education, and a rejection of materialism. It is a product of Islamic civilization. However, recycling well-known architectural features like minarets, courtyards, and mashrabiya frequently runs afoul of modern trends in architecture, which are not necessarily opposed to the fundamentals of Islamic architecture. Minimalism is regarded as a fundamental resource and an alternative to the present standard aesthetic. In order to draw designers with sustainable goals' attention to the relationships between minimalism and sustainability, the following questions are briefly addressed in this paper. How does minimalist design work? What does minimalist design entail? Is the minimalist style the best style for environmentally friendly architecture? This paper tries to attempt to examine a minimalist aesthetic for sustainable building and design. This paper discusses a comprehensive overview and analysis of minimalism and its guiding principles in architecture. It also continues by outlining the features and minimalistic foundations of Islamic architecture.

Minimalism in architecture which tends to reduce forms is becoming a more common case in practice. The aim of the research is uncovering its influence in contemporary life and defining relation of this phenomenon to the reality. According to this task two hypothesis are formed at the start: ?minimalism in architecture is the same as a simplified architecture? and ?minimalism is a style of architecture?. After analyzing influences and characteristics of minimalism in contemporary space including certain examples from practice, and some case studies of the architectural achievements based on minimalist ideas, research results are concluded and defined according to previous hypothesis. The conclusion includes understanding of minimalism as a way of thinking and a life style.

But the fact is that Danish artists made minimalist works of art, and they did it very early.Art historians tend to describe minimal art as an entirely American phenomenon. America is the centre, Europe the periphery that lagged behind the centre, imitating American art. I will try to query this view with examples from Danish minimalism. AbstractThis article considers several prominent pieces of minimalism in their movement from primary sound recording to secondary transcription. In place of the score-based formalism of much musicological scholarship on minimalism, I draw on my own archival work and interviews to consider the frequency of transcriptions of minimalism, as well as the politico-historical aspects of minimalism's development that are elided when the distinction between score and transcription is not taken into account. I argue that defining minimalism in relation to material practices of composing, writing, performing, and listening – rather than to formal features like gradual process, long duration, and diatonicism – helps in defining minimalism as a cohesive field of musical production.

The term minimalism previously used in the field of art and building, which is synonymous with modesty, is now adopted into a lifestyle. Abstract:
There has been a great deal of discussion in the recent philosophical literature of the relationship between the minimalist theory of truth and the expressivist metaethical theory. One group of philosophers contends that minimalism and expressivism are compatible, the other group contends that such theories are incompatible. Following Simon Blackburn (manuscript), I will call the former position ‘compatibilism’ and the latter position‘incompatiblism.’ Even those compatibilist philosophers who hold that there is no conflict or tension between these two theories—minimalism and expressivism—typically think that some revision of minimalism is required to accommodate expressivism. The claim that there is such an incompatibility, I will argue, is based on a misunderstanding of the historical roots of expressivism, the motivations behind the expressivist theory, and the essential commitments of expressivism. I will present an account of the expressivist theory that is clearly consistent with minimalism.

Abstract:
Lifestyle is a set of behaviours that are meaningful to the individual and others at a particular time and place, including social relationships, consumption of goods, entertainment, and clothing. Minimalism is the act of reducing things to make room for the more important things in life. A minimalist lifestyle is influenced by a consumptive lifestyle by reducing the items owned. Japanese minimalism has a rich history and is linked to cultural and philosophical traditions. A minimalist lifestyle is characterised by anti-consumerist attitudes and behaviours. A minimalist lifestyle offers many wellbeing benefits, including happiness, life satisfaction, meaning, and better personal relationships. Practising a minimalist lifestyle can be manifested by problem-avoiding behaviours, being content with enough possessions, and thinking carefully before making new purchases. The benefits of living a minimalist lifestyle range from environmental sustainability to mental health. This research aims to understand how Fumio Sasaki represents Japanese culture through the theme of minimalism and identify the Japanese cultural values reflected in this book with a qualitative method by thoroughly describing the data obtained during the research process. This research uses a literature approach by referring to theories obtained from literature in the form of books and journals as the main source and the literature.

Abstract:
Abstract Michael Dummett, in ‘Truth,’ mounted an objection to the redundancy theory of truth on the grounds that it neglects to account for the normative features he claimed are part of the concept of truth. Paul Horwich, in ‘The Minimalist Conception of Truth’, notes that the same objection could be leveled against minimalism. He defends minimalism against Dummett’s objection by offering a sketch of an instrumental account of the desirability of truth that is compatible with the minimalist thesis. In this paper, I will review Dummett’s objection and Horwich’s response, identifying some concerns with the account as it stands. I will modify the account to address those concerns, and so that it successfully explains the desirability of having all true beliefs in a way that is compatible with minimalism. I then mount an argument that truth is also intrinsically valuable. The question regarding the adequacy of the minimalist account of truth, then, hinges on whether the account is compatible with the fact of truth’s intrinsic value, along with the question of whether that fact entails its also being essentially valuable.

Abstract:
This research aims to show the mutual influence between Asian cultures and American minimalist music. This cultural exchange that started with John Cage, before continuing with Toru Takemitsu and then, Tan Dun, has been a fruitful channel of communication for new compositions in both continents. The paper explores the close connection between early minimalist composers (Reich, Glass, La Monte Young, and Terry Riley) and Asian music and philosophies (Zen Buddhism and Spirituality) as well as some of the ramifications of these traditions over the past five decades. The concept of minimalism was first applied in the arts as a return to simplicity, in tune with Asian philosophies. For some artists, the practice was already present in Asian arts before it appeared in the West. The minimalistic endeavour starts with the experimental works of Cage and Feldman; followed by the movement “Fluxus”. This coincided with what is often considered early minimalism, leading to the great variety of styles and mix of compositional techniques employed by current Asian composers influenced by American minimalism. This paper also analyses the use of minimalism in the Western and Asian curriculum.

Both constitute a central tenet of Justice Roberts’Grahamconcurrence, as well as a central tenet of the minimalist approach which he implicitly adopts. The tension within Roberts’ position is not conclusive. It may depend on the actual way one uses standards. If Roberts consistently uses standardsde factoin a deferential way, and signals that he will not intervene, he may be consistent with the approach. But the tension exists. Standards and minimalism do not always go hand-in-hand. Finally, the article questions the efficacy of minimalism as a workable judicial philosophy. The difficulties with the application of minimalism inGrahamand its inherent tensions revealed through this case raise some doubts as to the possibility that minimalism can move effectively from theory to actual judicial practice.

In today's information age, information is becoming more and more complex, and people need to get information quickly, so the minimalist design style is attracting people's attention more and more, and its unique design style is also attracting people's attention, becoming a design trend, or even a fashion trend. Minimalist design style upholds the principles of simple form, simple color, and adherence to “function first”, and the form is not rough, but more refined. We hope to show the simplest and most beautiful forms with little content, giving people unlimited imagination, not rough and at the same time look advanced, full of rhythm and without a lot of rhetoric. The result is a natural feeling of “back to basics” and a visual flair of “less but more”. In today's graphic world, the “less is more” minimalist style is highly sought after and popular. Minimalism is used in many different fields, including interior design, graphic design and architecture. Minimalism in graphic design is most evident in the simplification of type, graphics, color and typography to give a sense of visual comfort. The purpose of the graphic design discipline is to analyze the expression and application of minimalism in design.

In Uneasy Virtue, Julia Driver advocates a consequentialist account of the virtues. In so far as her view is ‘psychologically minimalist’, Driver's account is superior to the psychologically rich theories of virtue offered by Aristotle, Hume and Kant. However, Driver is also committed to ‘instrumentalism’ about virtue: a trait is a virtue only if it has instrumental value. In contrast, I argue for a ‘disjunctive’ form of minimalism, according to which a character trait counts as a virtue if it has either instrumental or intrinsic value. The common intuitions about virtue that Driver takes to support her ‘instrumental minimalism’ actually fit better with disjunctive minimalism. Admittedly, disjunctive minimalism is a messy account of virtue. However, this messiness would be a problem only if we drew a tight connection between virtue and right action, and we have good independent reasons for thinking there is no such tight link.

Abstract:
Because art music of the late twentieth century has received little attention in North American school music settings, this paper proposes a rationale as well as procedures for the teaching of one of its emerging styles: minimalism. A brief historical view of the development of minimalism is offered, the influence of Cage's concepts of music as an ongoing [if indeterminate] process is recognised, and the relationship of minimalism to other musical sytles and genres is noted. Listening lessons for works by composers Terry Riley, Steve Reich, and Phillip Glass are devised, along with suggestions for performance and composition experiences in the music classroom. Due to its eclectic nature, including the influence of rock and pop music, instruction in the music of the minimalist composers is viewed as a gateway to other art music styles and techniques of the late twentieth century.

Abstract:
Born largely from discourses on environmental sustainability, the contemporary minimalist movement has produced a new relationship to consumer objects. Where the accumulation of objects once conferred the status of wealth and prosperity under capitalism, minimalism aims to rethink the object as a spiritual extension of our inner lives. This is nowhere as evident than in the writing of Marie Kondo, whose teachings on “joyous” decluttering has enraptured a new class of consumers. Yet, for as much as contemporary thinking on minimalism figures in the image of eco-conscious neo-spirituality, this essay aims to demonstrate the relationship of minimalism to waste. For as much as the decluttering of our private spaces signals to the values of self-control and discipline, it also inadvertently intensifies a relationship to objects in which things that fail to “spark joy” become consigned to the garbage dumps and landfills that today swell with the abject accumulation of consumer society. For as much as the fashion of minimalism gestures to the aspirations of anti-consumerism, it is concomitantly the positive condition upon which the overflowing possessions of a Western consumer class are fated to become trash.

Abstract:
Existing reviews mainly regard pessimism as the accordatura of Winter Recipes from the Collective due to its leaping narrative and metaphorical imagery. This essay aims to reexamine it from the perspective of minimalism, arguing that what is hidden behind the seemingly pessimistic confession is the continuity of narrative and the emphasis on the collective as a polysemant, referring to society, nature, and the universe. The study finds that formal minimalism is demonstrated in the uncertain narrator, unbinding narrative time, and the form of book-length sequence, forming the continuity of the narrative. The minimalist images of moss, Bonsai, and Zhu Da’s painting further realize the thematic minimalism. Confronted with the physical and spiritual plight in the post-pandemic era, the poem indicates the indispensability of the collective, as the society to the individual, nature to a pine, and the universe to the particular, serving as the essence of winter recipes.

Abstract:
This paper examines the core ideas of minimalism as communicated in key writings of a selection of American bloggers and authors who have served as pacesetters for numerous people in several countries. The study examines minimalism based on narrative analysis, drawing on Hartmut Rosa’s critical theory of social acceleration and the concept of constructive resistance. The message the authors convey centres on a lifestyle change that was instigated by the discontent they felt in their previous lives, and they commend minimalism as a means to freedom and autonomy. Although critical of contemporary temporal norms and consumption culture, minimalism is primarily an individual approach to dealing with situations of discontent. This can be understood as a consequence of a more general individualization of society, but it could also be understood in relation to the unclear centre of power in the case of social acceleration. Minimalists can be seen as performing constructive resistance through individual acts without calling for organization or collective mobilization of any kind, and without being particularly challenging or threatening to the system.

Abstract:
Syntactic choices and complexity reduction make translation communicative for the readers. This paper underscores the syntactic choices as well as complexity reduction in Urdu translation of Punjab laws in English. The study focuses on legal communication in a minimalistic perspective. It draws upon the theory of minimalism proposed by Chomsky (1993), along with the three-stage model by Nida and Taber (1969). Data is analyzed by employing Burton’s (2021) clausal analysis. The legal data used for the research comprises Punjab laws in English and their Urdu translation. The findings reveal minimalism as a useful strategy in the translation process for reducing structure complexity and making the translation understandable to laypeople. The study is beneficial to English-Urdu translators since it instructs them on how to make their translations communicative, especially when dealing with legal texts. It is also useful for academics in the field of Translation Studies who are working on minimalist views. Keywords: minimalism, complexity reduction, legal translation, syntactic choices, communication

Abstract:
Abstract This paper introduces freely improvised joint actions, a class of joint actions characterized by (i) highly unspecific goals and (ii) the unavailability of shared plans. For example, walking together just for the sake of walking together with no specific destination or path in mind provides an ordinary example of FIJAs, along with examples in the arts, e.g., collective free improvisation in music, improv theater, or contact improvisation in dance. We argue that classic philosophical accounts of joint action such as Bratman’s rule them out because the latter require a capacity for planning that is idle in the case of FIJAs. This argument is structurally similar to arguments for minimalist accounts of joint action (e.g., based on joint actions performed by children before they develop a full-fledged theory of mind), and this invites a parallel minimalist account, which we provide in terms of a specific kind of shared intentions that do not require plan states. We further argue that the resulting minimalist account is different in kind from the sort of minimalism suggested by developmental considerations and conclude in favor of a pluralistic minimalism, according to which there are several ways for an account of joint action to be minimal.

Abstract:
Simplicity and naturalness, and a focus on product materials and functionality itself are typical features of the minimalist style, which, as a popular modern design style, has also had a profound impact on product design. Muji develops minimalism in its design philosophy and product content, espousing a philosophy of simple and natural living and the removal of superfluous decoration. The appearance of the products is presented only through the use of simple lines and geometric shapes, the use of high purity colours to return the properties of the raw materials themselves, and the use of environmentally friendly recycled materials to simplify the packaging to its most basic state. The product is presented to the consumer in a minimalist manner, while retaining its functionality and practicality. Taking Muji as an example, this article explores the application of minimalism in Muji's design from both the design concept and the product, and analyses the reasons for its transformation from an 'unbranded' to a 'branded' brand.

The perception of these needs included the development of a minimalist contemporary architecture that is now widely grown. Contemporary minimalism is one type of architecture emerged in Indonesia, especially in Medan. The type is simple and small dimensions characterize minimalism. Does every Muslim family in the area of Medan (sample) is easily adaptable to the needs that exist in minimalist contemporary architecture include the need for privacy, modesty, and hospitality?. Therefore, the research purpose is to discover a Muslim family adaptation to the needs of space and performance. The method used was a qualitative method of mapping the behavior by place-centered mapping. Results from this study are the adaptation of living in the house to appropriate their needs and recommending improvements in the design of houses.

Abstract:
Design patterns have become an important part of modern object-oriented design. It is necessary to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of different methods of pedagogical documentation in teaching design patterns. We compared patterns-style documentation with minimalist documentation. Patterns style disagrees with minimalism in that contextual information is not minimal — it usually contains information other than what needs to be done. The discoveries in this empirical study were two fold. First, the MANOVA (multivariate analyses of variance) shows that the effect of patterns-style documentation and minimalism are different. Second, we proposed a prediction model using a regression modeling technique. Considering these results, we formulate some guidelines for effective framework documentation by applying five of the design patterns within the Swing environment as our case study. Different documentation philosophies are better for different goals. For a simple task, use minimalist documentation. For a much more complex problem such involving five of the design patterns, our empirical results suggest using patterns-style documentation.

The climate crisis era has seen an upsurge in popular cultural narratives that implicitly challenge principles of economic productivity, consumption and growth by deploring a so-called ‘world of too much’. This article discusses minimalism as examples of anti-consumer-oriented social practices and investigates how the notion of minimalism is represented in a large corpus of English language blogs. The research employs the corpus-linguistics approach of critical discourse analysis. The article argues that discourse of minimalism is paradoxical in that it resists yet at the same time promotes capitalist cultures of growth. In a broader perspective, it constitutes a niche and subversive phenomenon efficiently integrated into the market logic that is seemingly contested by minimalists. On the other hand, it cannot be discredited as a means towards redefining oneself and form of individual conversion. It can result in a new sensitivity to the challenges of late modernity.

Abstract:
In fierce market competition, product package design is one of the important means for companies to gain market share. Various expressions used in package design play an important role in creating emotional sympathy among consumers and encouraging consumption. Among them, minimalist design expression expresses images or objects with a basic structure, immediately recognizes the essence of the form, emphasizes, and minimizes it, making it easier to understand and accept. Furthermore, it enables form recognition that allows one to feel emotional autonomy by acquiring and performing playful functions. Accordingly, this study focused on studying the impact of minimalist expression attributes in package design on consumers' emotional perception. Through previous research and case analysis, the expressive properties of minimalism are summarized as 'simplicity and clarity' as formative elements and 'symbolism and environmentality' as semantic elements, and at the same time, according to the consumer PAD three-dimensional emotional model, emotional perception The dependent variables were set as ‘pleasure, arousal, and dominance.’ As a result of the analysis, it was found that in minimalism, the attributes of clarity expression all had a positive effect on consumers' pleasure, arousal, and dominance. In addition, it was found that the use of environmentality had a positive effect on consumer arousal and dominance. It should be noted that simplicity and symbolism play a positive role in stimulating consumer interest, but their impact on consumer arousal and dominance is not significant. This study fills in and verifies the research gap on minimalist expression in package design to a certain extent, making the study of a PAD consumer emotion 3D model richer and exploring the expression attributes of minimalism from a new perspective.

Abstract:
The article presents an analysis of the main versions of the emergence and evolution of minimalism, proposed by both domestic and foreign art history. In the domestic literature of the 80-90s, there was an opinion that the origin of musical minimalism was a reaction to the European avant-garde that preceded it. However, today this statement looks somewhat speculative and not entirely reliable, due to objective historical reasons. The lack of information about Western art in all its diversity that existed at that time made it necessary to fill in the informational gaps with theoretical constructions and assumptions, one of which turned into a sincere conviction of many researchers that each new avant-garde phenomenon arose as a reaction to the previous one. Given the lack of facts, such a view could be considered quite justified, but it did not make it possible to recognize the true nature of minimalism. The modern level of information accessibility makes it possible to overcome the prevailing stereotype regarding the genesis and evolution of minimalism. The role of the international creative association “Fluxus” was very important in its development, in the ranks of which both representatives of the European avant-garde and American experimenters freely exchanged ideas. Very different and sometimes underestimated sources merged in musical minimalism, among which are the heritage of the musical and non-musical avant-garde, abstractionist and visual minimal art, experimental audio technicism and actionism, and an appeal to non-European music. This fusion of ideas and artistic techniques eventually formed a new synthetic phenomenon; a special minimalist style of a number of American composers - T. Riley, S. Reich, F. Glass, J. Adams, as well as European composers, among which M. Nyman became the most prominent figure. It was Nyman who proposed to extend the term ‘minimalism’ to the art of music, starting with the creative searches of J. Cage and his followers. In recent decades, among domestic musicologists, in relation to minimalism, the prefix ‘post’ has been increasingly added, heralding the transition to the era of postminimalism. However, in the avant-garde currents, such a transition was never synchronous and occurred gradually, when the subject of artistic reflection consistently rejected and replaced the former modernist conceptualism, actualizing direct perception and emotional reactivity. However, in musical minimalism, including its Russian branch, the mentioned process has not yet reached its final stage.

Abstract:
In the 1970s, choreographer Lucinda Childs developed a reductive form of abstraction based on graphic representations of her dance material, walking, and a specific approach towards its embodiment. If her work has been described through the prism of minimalism, this case study on Calico Mingling (1973) proposes a different perspective. Based on newly available archival documents in Lucinda Childs’s papers, it traces how track drawing, the planimetric representation of path across the floor, intersected with minimalist aesthetics. On the other hand, it elucidates Childs’s distinctive use of literacy in order to embody abstraction. In this respect, the choreographer’s approach to both dance company and dance technique converge at different influences, in particular modernism and minimalism, two parallel histories which have been typically separated or opposed.

Abstract:
Materialist lifestyle produces consumptive behavior which ultimately has a broad impact on a person. The most dangerous impact is on mental health where individuals are more susceptible to depression when they do not feel they have enough. Responding to this condition, modern western society has created minimalist lifestyle. This lifestyle is characterized by a deliberate restriction of ownership of things. As for Islam, there is the concept of zuhud which means turning a Muslim away from all worldly things. Although by naked eye, minimalist behavior has similarities with zuhud, there are fundamental differences between the two. The purpose of this study was to identify the differences between minimalism and zuhud and their effect on mental health. Using the literature review method, this study reveals that zuhud guarantees a more stable and authentic mental health, especially for Muslims. The greater positive influence is caused by the reference point of the performer of zuhud in the hereafter rather than the world, and zuhud having an integrative-interconnective relationship with other rites in Islam. Abstract:
Recently, Paul Horwich has developed the minimalist theory of truth, according to which the truth predicate does not express a Substantive property, though it may be used as a grammatical expedient. Minimalism shares these Claims with Quine's disquotationalism; it differs from disquotationalism primarily in holding that truth-bearers are propositions, rather than sentences. Despite potential ontological worries, allowing that propositions bear truth gives Horwich a prima facie response to several important objections to disquotationalism. In section I of this paper, disquotationalism is given a careful exegesis, in which seven known objections are traced to the disquotational Schema, and two new objections are raised. A version of disquotationalism which avoids two of the seven known objections is recommended. In section II, an examination of minimalism shows that it faces eight of the nine objections facing disquotationalism, plus a new objection.

Nonetheless, the hermeneutical principles which the composer intended to soundly integrate in his composition style are preserved, regardless of how the tintinnabuli technique arises (strict or elastic). In both musical works analyzed, the tintinnabuli technique (technique used in composition since 1976) does not refer to serialization of sound parameters, but addresses the algorithmizing process of the musical material, which originates from formal and philosophical thinking. The main question addressed in this paper is: What is the most promising ethical theory (specifying necessary and sufficient conditions for any action’s being morally right) that can be formulated in terms of the notion of a prima facie duty? I try to show that the answer to this question involves an ethical theory that, despite never having been discussed, is nevertheless worthy of serious consideration. The theory, Rossian Minimalism, says, roughly, that an act, A, is morally right iff no alternative to A would constitute less of a violation of prima facie duties than A.
