<span>This paper discusses how Microsoft Project 2000 was utilized at the University of Central Florida Libraries to manage an e-reference implementation project. As libraries today adopt more information technologies, efficiently managing projects can be challenging. The authors’ experience in the implementation of QuestionPoint e-reference software in October 2003 is described. Their conclusion illustrates that project-management tools, such as Microsoft Project 2000, offer practical workflow-management techniques for libraries. This article represents the first attempt to discuss the use of Microsoft Project 2000 to manage a library project.</span>

Untuk membuat penjadwalan suatu proyek dibutuhkan ketelitian yang tinggi untuk menghindari terjadinya kesalahan. Ketelitian yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat penjadwalan suatu proyek tidaklah sama. Oleh karna itu diperlukan aplikasi program yang dapat membantu pembuatan jadwal. Terdapat berbagai jenis aplikasi program untuk penjadwalan proyek diantaranya Microsoft Project, Project Libre, dan Gantt Project. Ketiga aplikasi program ini mempunyai kelebihan dan kekurangan nya masing-masing. Pada penelitian ini akan dibahas cara menggunakan aplikasi program untuk membuat penjadwalan proyek dan membandingkan kelebihan dan kelemahan tiga aplikasi program dengan menggunakan 12 kategori menurut J.D Witt. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh Project Libre sangat mirip dengan kemampuan yang dimiliki Microsoft Project. Tetapi Projecr Libre memiliki keunggulan lebih dari Microsoft Project karna merupakan aplikasi program yang open source dan tidak berbayar. Sedangkan kemampuan yang dimiliki Gantt Project masih jauh dari kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh Microsoft Project dan Project Libre. Hal ini dikarnakan Gantt Project merupakan aplikasi program khusus penjadwalan saja. Namun Gantt Project merupakan aplikasi program yang tidak berbayar dan open source sehingga source codenya dapat dilihat oleh orang lain dan membiarkan orang lain mengetahui cara kerja aplikasi program dan sekaligus memperbaiki kelemahan-kelemahan yang ada pada aplikasi program.

Abstract: Many construction projects experience schedule and expense overruns which results in poor planning, scheduling, and execution, which causes number of problems such as delays in the provision of facilities, development, a decline in construction quality, and an increase in project cost. A little thought reveals that the amount of time needed to accomplish the job is inversely related to the availability of labor. When the number of workers is raised, the project's completion time is shortened; conversely, when the number of workers is reduced, the project's completion time is lengthened. The present study deals with the manpower, planning, scheduling and resource optimization of “Construction of a Villa Project at Chaitanya Sharan, Bengaluru”, a two storied (G+2) building of 26 units whose construction is complete at Gunjur, Bengaluru, Karnataka. This study uses Microsoft Project 2013 to schedule various building activities, allocating resources, and level those resources in order to examine project management strategies. In essence, it relates to finding a solution to the project's excessive resource allocation. This project illustrates how resource levelling may be accomplished with Microsoft Project and what impact it might have on overall project duration.

One of the MBKM programs you can participate in is the Certified Independent Study/Project Internship Program (MSIB) with partner PT MariBelajar Indonesia Smart in collaboration with Microsoft. The MSIB Program uses Microsoft Teams to help students collaborate to solve problems through capstone projects. The research method uses quantitative methods and aims to analyze the effect of Microsoft Teams on the collaboration abilities of PT Independent Study/Project students. Let's Learn Smart Indonesia. The research subjects were PT Independent Study/Project students. MariBelajar Indonesia Smart Cycle 2. The instrument used to measure the use of Microsoft Teams and collaboration skills is through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression using the SPSS 23.0 for Windows program. The analysis results show that using Microsoft Teams affects students' collaboration abilities, which can improve their skills and help them complete projects. Using Microsoft Teams helps students utilize collaboration spaces to understand Microsoft Teams' features to enhance their communication skills and creativity. Future researchers should test other factors such as communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking skills using Microsoft Teams. The prediction results for each segment are compared to make a comparison to find out which work needs to be done. comes first and work that doesn't need to come first. From the research carried out, it can be concluded that in the research process using Ms Project, the results were that the completion time was 189 days from the project plan of 210 days, so there was a time efficiency of 21 days, whereas in the research using CPM, the results were that the completion time was 188 days from the project plan of 210 days, so there were efficiency 22 days From the research we conducted to compare the time of Ms Project and Critical Path Method there is a difference of one day while for the costs obtained from comparing the 2 methods IDR 26,426,500,000

Time constraints are often a problem in construction projects. Project scheduling and consistent evaluation are needed so that the project is completed on time. Evaluation is applied using performance intensity methods and Microsoft Project. Performance Intensity is a calculation carried out to determine the pace of project work. Performance intensity provides information on how quickly an activity can be completed. For the calculation of Performance Intensity use PPI, API and CPI. To control work in the field using CCS and CCP. Evaluation to find out the time performance applied to the Yogyakarta Lighthouse project. The project is planned to be completed on December 14, 2014 with a duration of 266 days. Evaluation is carried out for 35 periods. The results of this evaluation are differences in the analysis of the final day between the method of Performance Intensity and Microsoft project. The final day analysis of Performance Intensity at week 35 for 279 days, while analysis of Microsoft Project for 280 days. Differences in the range of predictions for the day-to-day analysis of a project are caused by the Performance Intensity method using the average cumulative work rate as a benchmark that changes every period. To pursue delays, the project acceleration method is used, namely Schedule. The time needed for the Schedule is 80 days.

The financial services market is developing rapidly in today’s dynamic world. The financial inclusion of our compatriots directly depends on their financial and economic literacy. Therefore, awareness of Ukrainian citizens with financial and economic terms, as well as the basics of financial transactions should take place in childhood. The aim of the article is to draw up the budget of the educational project of financial and economic literacy for the children of preschool and primary school age with the help of the Microsoft Office Project. The article describes the features of the project (purpose, existing hierarchical goals, coordinated implementation of related actions, time frame, availability of the budget, uniqueness). The project of financial and economic literacy for the children is classified into certain types of projects according to different classification criteria (scale, duration, industry affiliation, functional direction, the nature of the parties involved, the degree of complexity, the composition and structure of the organizations involved, the requirements for project quality, the degree of binding, the degree of communication, the number of participants). The step-by-step algorithm of project development from the establishment of the project team to project budget formulation is created and described. Methods used: SWOT-analysis (to identify strengths and weaknesses, threats and opportunities of the project), critical path (for planning project work), budgeting (for project budgeting). The algorithm of automated scheduling of project tasks in the Microsoft Office Project program is described. The project budget includes the costs of printing presentation materials; creating drawings to explain the financial and economic terms that will be used in the children’s book; creating a layout and printing a children’s book; creating a cartoon; creating a project web page; remuneration of teachers for conducting training sessions. The time frame of the project was 5,5 months. The universality of the project is indicated, as it can be implemented by teachers of economic departments of any institution of higher education in Ukraine. It is noted that the developed project of financial and economic literacy for the children can serve as a basis for other educational projects in preschool or school education or for similar projects of financial and economic literacy, where the target audience will be middle and high school students studying in general secondary education institutions, gymnasiums, lyceums.

Planning a good project implementation schedule must be supported by good project control. Because what happens in the field is not necessarily in accordance with what has been planned. In this study, the analysis of the project implementation schedule is done manually, which is to make the S curve and use the Microsoft Project 2019 program. The method used is to enter the data related to the analysis into the program, then this Microsoft project will calculate automatically according to the formulas. calculation formula that has been made, so that the calculation of the project implementation schedule analysis will be faster and more accurate. The results of the cost analysis following the price of the Trenggalek district work unit for the renovation of the City Square is IDR. 6,078,136,530. Estimated schedule in planning the S schedule time curve with Microsoft Project 2019, there is a time difference of scheduling 39 calendar days or a difference of 1 month more that can save time and costs of implementing work. At the planning stage of scheduling with an S curve of 20 weeks or 140 days, using Microsoft Project 2019, the results obtained 101 days of project completion time. Analisa manajemen konstruksi pada proyek Pembuatan Atap Walkway Dahai menggunakan metode Activity On Arrow (AOA), Kurva S, Barchart diperoleh durasi pekerjaan 74 hari dengan hubungan ketergantungan antar pekerjaan SS (Start to Start)– FS (Finish to Start). Analisa Perhitungan waktu menggunakan Microsoft Project2016 didapat waktu 74 hari.Penggunaan Microsoft Office Project 2016 sebaiknya digunakan untuk proyek besar dan kompleks sehingga manfaatnya lebih terasa. Penggunaan program Microsoft Project 2016 dalam skripsi ini masih sangat sederhana, untuk itu masih perlu mempelajari lebih jauh lagi.Kata kunci : Manajemen Konstruksi, Network planning,Microsoft Project.

In project development planning is a measure of the success of a project, which can determine the allocation of funds, time and quality to be obtained. This planning is combined with the use of special planning software, namely Microsoft Project 2021, which with this software can help make rescheduling easy and can track developments in the field. The data was analyzed using the Precedent Diagram Method (PDM) using the Microsoft Project 2021 application and the resulting plan is a network of all project work scopes. The results of the scheduling analysis of the Air Santri Urban Slum Quality Improvement Project, Banjar Regency, using the Microsoft Project 2021 application is that the project was carried out for 335 days obtained based on the scope of work with the largest duration of this project, namely 12 months 25 days starting on May 21 2021 ending on June 15, 2022. The total duration for each scope of work is Public Open Space (RTP) for 331 days, Retaining Walls (DPT) for 335 days, Roads for 139 days, Pier for 96 days, Waste Management Area (TPS) 170 days duration, SPAL DT 57 days duration and Clean water installation 201 days duration. Обґрунтовано підготовку доктора філософії як освітньо-наукоий проєкт, зокрема зазначено його характерні ознаки (мету, наявні ієрархічні цілі, координоване виконання пов’язаних між собою дій, часові рамки, наявність бюджету, унікальність), віднесено до певних видів проєктів за різними класифікаційними ознаками (масштабом / розміром, тривалістю / строками реалізації, галузевою приналежністю, функціональним спрямуванням, характером залучених сторін, ступенем складності, складом і структурою залучених організацій, вимогами до якості проєкту, ступенем обов’язковості, ступенем зв’язку, кількістю учасників), перелічено характеристики проєкту (ціль, бачення та стратегію, комерційну вигоду, організаційні зміни, час і витрати), конкретизовано процеси, пов’язані з проєктом, які реалізують різні функції управління (ініціації, планування, виконання, моніторингу й управління, завершення). Метод PERT позволяет формировать и анализировать вероятностные расписания строительных работ. В программах управления проектами данный метод представлен в форме информационного инструментария. Однако для полноценного использования этого метода требуется информация по пессимистическим продолжительностям работ. Для ее получения может быть использован ряд методологических подходов, основанных на теоретических положениях математической статистики и методах экспертной оценки. При таких подходах принципиальным моментом является то, что получаемые выводы базируются на знаниях и данных, полученных в прошлом. Однако нужные для PERT-анализа данные могут либо вообще отсутствовать, либо быть нерепрезентативными, либо не отражать конкретную специфику планируемого проекта. Поэтому для выхода из подобного рода ситуаций авторами разработана методика дисконтирования продолжительностей работ, позволяющая формировать пессимистические расписания работ. Практическая полезность предлагаемой методики заключается в том, что расчет пессимистических продолжительностей работ поставлен в зависимость от дисконтной ставки, которая по своему основному назначению используется для оценки экономической эффективности инвестиционных проектов, а поэтому всегда является актуальным параметром для любого разрабатываемого строительного проекта.

The era of digitalization forces us to create a well-integrated system, thus the use of applications can facilitate the process of implementing and controlling work. In large-scale construction projects with a lot of project activities in it, it is impossible to control manually, so it will be easier if we use assistive applications such as Microsoft Project. The problem underlying the implementation of this training for SMA/SMK students is the lack of skills of the younger generation in using the application, especially in construction project time management. Application that are usually used in SMA/SMK are usually limited to Microsoft Excel. This service aims to increase the knowledge of students, especially SMK PGRI 1 Gresik students, so they can quickly adapt to the professional world. The presentation method, question and answer, pre-test, post-test and continued with practice are used in this cummunity service. The result of this training is an increase in the target of student knowladge from 55% to 86%.

Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pada pelatihan yaitu pembuatan kurva “S” yang lebih detail menggunakan program Microsoft Project bagi guru-guru di SMK di Wilayah Kerja 4 Provinsi Jawa Timur. Kegiatan pelatihan Microsoft Project, meliputi: (1) Ceramah / penjelasan, Tanya jawab secara daring; (2) Diskusi dengan menuangkan pokok pikiran berkaitan dengan pembelajaran materi dan praktek Rencana Anggaran Belanja (RAB); (3) Praktek mengoperasikan Microsoft Project dipandu oleh Tim PKM; dan (4) Evaluasi hasil kegiatan pelatihan. Kegiatan pelatihan Microsoft Project secara daring ini sebagai alternative solusi pelaksanaan PKM di masa pandemic Covid-19. Capaian keberhasilan setiap peserta pelatihan sebanyak 38 guru rata-rata sebesar 82%. Terjadi peningkatan kompetensi professional bagi guru setelah mengikuti pelatihan. In the implementation of a construction project, delays are very common in the field. Acceleration is needed to overcome or minimize the delay. The acceleration efforts made will certainly have an impact on increasing the time on the project so it is necessary to analyze the time for the construction. There are many methods that can be done one of them by using the help of a computer program. The purpose of this study was to determine the time through Microsoft Project 2016 analysis. A case study was conducted on the construction of the Binuang Road Retaining Dam in Bukittinggi City, with a project implementation time of 17 weeks or 120 working days. The alternative used in this research is to analyze or review the time of the project. Furthermore, scheduling analysis is carried out through Microsoft Project 2016 so that the critical path is obtained which becomes a reference for activities to be optimized and to analyze the time that occurs after the acceleration is carried out by the Crashing Program. After analyzing the results, the same results were obtained in the Microsoft Project 2016 output. The maximum acceleration occurred in the addition of working days or the absence of holidays or 7 days faster than the normal duration of 113 days. AbstractSuccessful performance and completion of construction projects highly depend on an adequate time scheduling of the project activities. On implementation of time scheduling, the execution modes of activities are most often required to be set in a manner that enables in achieving the minimum total project cost. This paper presents an approach to cost optimal time scheduling, which integrates a spreadsheet application and data transfer to project management software (PMS). At this point, the optimization problem of project time scheduling is modelled employing Microsoft Excel and solved to optimality using Solver while organization of data is dealt by macros. Thereupon, Microsoft Project software is utilized for further managing and presentation of optimized time scheduling solution. In this way, the data flow between programs is automated and possibilities of error occurrence during scheduling process are reduced to a minimum. Moreover, integration of spreadsheet and PMS for cost optimal time scheduling in construction is performed within well-known program environment that increases the possibilities of its wider use in practice. An application example is shown in this paper to demonstrate the advantages of proposed approach.

Using the applications such as Microsoft Access program to support the control techniques is required. But how to apply Microsoft Access in the control of construction projects with the calculation method of analysis of variance and earned value concept, so as to provide information on the implementation of the project quickly and accurately. The purpose of this study was to plan a construction project control method by using analysis of variance and earned value concept through the application of Microsoft Access. Data required in this plan is secondary data in the Budget Plan, time schedule, and report project progress every week. The data obtained will then be categorized based on indicators BCWP (Budgeted Cost of Work Performed) and BCWS (Budgeted Cost of Work Schedule) for each work item, whereas for indicators ACWP (Actualt Cost of Work Performed) is assumed to be based on the percentage of profit to be used. The data are entered into a Microsoft Access program that can be known variance and variance cost and schedule performance index cost and schedule performance index, the remaining cost estimates and total cost estimates. The result achieved is a software application that presents information about the project progress report every week. There are 6 weeks the value of cost variance (CV) is positive and schedule variance (SV) is zero, 13 weeks for the value of schedule variance (SV) is positive and cost variance (CV) is positive, 3 weeks to schedule variance (SV) is negative cost variance ( CV) is positive and 14 weeks for schedule variance (SV) is negative and cost variance (CV) is negative.

Good construction project implementation is obtained from good and detailed management. The success of project management is supported by a detailed and thorough planning and scheduling method. Project scheduling has many types with various forms, advantages and disadvantages, even in current technological developments, applications are available that can help plan, implement and control projects, namely the Microsoft Project application. In the implementation of the SDN 1 Pedungan Two-Floor Building Development project, it still uses scheduling using the conventional method (S-Curve). With the existence of various forms of scheduling, this writer compares the method between the S Curve and the Critical Path Method (CPM) to obtain effective and efficient scheduling. The data used in this study are quantitative data such as the Budget Plan (RAB) which produces job descriptions and volumes, the Time Schedule plan which produces the activity duration of each work item, the predecessor and project start time, the analysis list which produces resource requirements and the calendar. workflow that returns project start time, workdays, workhours, worktime and holidays. We live in a digital era. Nowadays almost all accounting and production project information are collected into long electronic spreadsheets that are easily accessible for the production managers so they can extract the data and analyze it according to their needs. In every work project, especially in long project production, IT or manufacturing, there is the need to perform an elaborated risk management, just because there is a gap of uncertainty from the process of planning to the final workflow cost. One main task that often causes problems is the quantitative risk analysis. In this article we will show how to use a well-known standard product, that is easily accessible even to micro entrepreneur – Microsoft Office/Excel. With the help of MS-Excel it will be cost effective and easy to extract the data and create standard risk simulations, which will help managers to take decisions and reduce their risk exposition.

The purpose of the article is to provide scientific and theoretical substantiationof conducting the All-Ukrainian competition of student’s scientific works as aneducational project and its planning by Microsoft Office Project. Organization ofthe competition of student’s scientific works as a project will allow to detail theworks (tasks) necessary for the implementation of the project; assign them labor,material and financial resources; to identify critical works of the project, the delayof which can affect the terms of project completion; effectively manage the content,time and resources of the project. And the use of Microsoft Office Project willhelp speed up the analysis of the project by rendering it, finding answers to thequestions “what will happen, if …?” and also monitoring its implementation. Themethodology of the study is to use such method of network planning as a methodof a critical path for project work planning. The scientific novelty of the resultsis that the holding of the All-Ukrainian competition of student’s scientific workswas considered as an educational project, its planning was carried out by MicrosoftOffice Project. Conclusions. Implementation of the developed project at LesiaUkrainka Eastern European National University allowed the head and secretary ofthe organizational committee to promptly and efficiently implement the monitoringand control processes for its implementation. The versatility of the developedproject is that it can be used in the activity of any institution of higher educationof Ukraine, which is defined as the basis for conducting the All-Ukrainiancompetition of student’s scientific works in the fields of knowledge and specialties.

In carrying out the PPLP Banten Building construction project, it experienced delays. The causes of delays are the addition of time, changes in shop drawings and material delays. Then the solution in theMicrosoft project is an alternative crashing method of 4 hours of overtime and work shifts. The research results obtained 18 jobs that are on the critical path of 43 jobs. The normal total duration is 942 days and the normal fee is Rp. 569.100.000 using AHSP. The results obtained are the total duration of the alternative crashing 4 hours of overtime work is 678 days, while the work shift is 530 days, the AHSP Project produces an alternative total cost of 4 hours overtime of Rp. 3.066.675.000 and work shifts with accident costs of Rp. 1.223.565.000. The alternative cost of 4 hours of overtime using the AHSP project is Rp. 193.067.245,23 and work shifts using the AHSP project of Rp. 33.638.199,58 then the work shift alternative is more economical and was chosen to be applied to the project. The results of the comparison of direct and indirect costs for the 4-hour overtime alternative are direct costs Rp. 9.672.161.032,2 indirect costs Rp. 1.322.728.805,77 and direct costs for work shift alternatives Rp.9.512.731.986,58 costs Rp. 1.273.456.116,78 then the work shift alternative is more economical and is chosen to be applied to the project.

We introduce a heuristic method for the single resource constrained project scheduling problem, based on the dynamic programming solution of the knapsack problem. This method schedules projects with one type of resources, in the non-preemptive case: once started an activity is not interrupted and runs to completion. We compare the implementation of this method with well-known heuristic scheduling method, called Minimum Slack First (known also as Gray-Kidd algorithm), as well as with Microsoft Project.

In the construction of a construction project, of course, there is a scheduling of a project. In practice, sometimes these two things deviate from what has been planned, so it is necessary to control and manage a project. In addition to being seen from the quality, the success of a project can also be seen in terms of time control. The CPM method can be used to manage project completion times more efficiently and effectively. The tools for operating this method are with the Microsoft Project program. Data analysis for the CPM method is to analyze which activities are included in the critical path in order to obtain the optimal duration. In this study, the duration of the project was 182 days. After analyzing the calculations, the duration of the project activities using the CPM method and the Microsoft Project program was found for 181 days.

Scheduling in the sense of a construction project is a tool to determine the activities needed to complete a project in a certain sequence and time frame, where each activity must be carried out so that the project is completed on time at an economical cost. In this study, the researcher evaluates the reasonableness of the contractor's schedule with the researcher's schedule from the Microsoft Project.This study was conducted to analyze the reasonableness of the contractor's schedule whether the contractor's schedule is in accordance with the reality on the ground. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of working drawings and s curves. Analysis of this schedule using the Microsoft project application. Data analysis is carried out by making basic assumptions of building construction, creating a scope of work, making work durations, making relationships between jobs and then analyzing them in the Microsoft project application.The criteria for the fairness of the schedule are seen from the order of work, work items and work duration. The results showed that of the four contractor schedules at SDN 5 Sokong that met the fair criteria, only the CV UTAMA schedule
