Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the use of technology affects the learning outcomes of Class III students at St. Petrus Private Elementary School Medan. This study's participants were all third-graders at Medan's St. Petrus Private Elementary School, which had three classes with 100 students each. Class IIIC was chosen as a sample of 30 students for this study, and the method of sample collection that was used was simple random sampling. A survey-type quantitative approach is utilized in this study. to use the product moment correlation t test to test the hypothesis. According to the findings, the use of gadgets received an average score of 80.17 in the high category, while learning outcomes received an average score of 74 in the lower category. This is supported by the results of the hypothesis t test. If the value of t_count > t_table is 6.809 > 1.697, then Ha is accepted, indicating that third-grade students at St. Petrus Private Elementary School in Medan benefit significantly from the use of technology.

Abstract:
AbstractThe St. Petersburg Paradox is a famous economic and philosophical puzzle that has generated numerous conflicting explanations. To shed empirical light on this phenomenon, we examined subjects’ bids for one St. Petersburg gamble with a real monetary payment. We found that bids were typically lower than twice the smallest payoff, and thus much lower than is generally supposed. We also examined bids offered for several hypothetical variants of the St. Petersburg Paradox. We found that bids were weakly affected by truncating the gamble, were strongly affected by repeats of the gamble, and depended linearly on the initial “seed” value of the gamble. One explanation, which we call the median heuristic, strongly predicts these data. Subjects following this strategy evaluate a gamble as if they were taking the median rather than the mean of the payoff distribution. Finally, we argue that the distribution of outcomes embodied in the St. Petersburg paradox is so divergent from the Gaussian form that the statistical mean is a poor estimator of expected value, so that the expected value of the St. Petersburg gamble is undefined. These results suggest that this classic paradox has a straightforward explanation rooted in the use of a statistical heuristic.

Abstract:
Background: Early prediction and quick diagnosis with simple, quick and easily available tool is essential part of early management of acute coronary syndrome e.g. ST segment elevated myocardial infarction. As platelet has a significant role in thrombus formation and larger sized platelets are more active in thrombotic pathogenicity, as such platelet indices can be the early predictor for acute coronary syndrome. Objective: Aim of this study was to assess the association of platelet count and mean platelet volume (MPV) in acute ST-elevated myocardial infarction. Methodology: This observational study was conducted at the department of Cardiology of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dhaka, Bangladesh from November 2019 to October 2020. Total 166 subjects were enrolled in this study. Among them 82 subjects (Group I) had acute ST-elevated myocardial infarction on resting ECG were admitted at CCU of NICVD and without any prior history of anti-platelet drugs intake, another 84 subjects (Group II) were enrolled in this study as control group with normal 12 lead resting ECG with normal Troponin-I. Results: No significant age difference observed between two groups (p =0.063). Significantly higher smoking and family history of coronary artery disease observed with ST elevated MI subjects (p:0.002 and <0.001 respectively). Associated risk factors like hypertension, diabetes and dyslipidemia were significantly high (<0.001) in ST-elevated MI patients. No significant difference observed in platelet count between ST elevated MI groups compared with the control (258 X 109/L vs. 267 X109/L). Mean platelet volume (MPV) was found to be higher in group I patients as compared to control (12.20±0.86 vs. 9.26±0.77) and it was significant (p <0.001). Conclusion: In acute ST-elevated myocardial infraction, higher mean platelet volume (MPV) and lower platelet count may be a useful marker. Bangladesh Heart Journal 2023; 38(2): 120-126

Abstract:
This contribution describes a novel iterative radio channel estimation algorithm based on superimposed training (ST) estimation technique. The proposed algorithm draws an analogy with the data dependent ST (DDST) algorithm, that is, extracts the cycling mean of the data, but in this case at the receiver's end. We first demonstrate that this mean removal ST (MRST) applied to estimate a single-input single-output (SISO) wideband channel results in similar bit error rate (BER) performance in comparison with other iterative techniques, but with less complexity. Subsequently, we jointly use the MRST and Alamouti coding to obtain an estimate of the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) narrowband radio channel. The impact of imperfect channel on the BER performance is evidenced by a comparison between the MRST method and the best iterative techniques found in the literature. The proposed algorithm shows a good tradeoff performance between complexity, channel estimation error, and noise immunity.

Abstract Let XN be a set of N elements and F1, F2,… be a sequence of random independent equiprobable mappings XN → N. For a subset S0 ⊂ XN, |S0|=m, we consider a sequence of its images St=Ft(…F2(F1(S0))…), t=1,2… An approach to the exact recurrent computation of distribution of |St| is described. Two-sided inequalities forM{|St|||S0|=m} such that the difference between the upper and lower bounds is o(m)for m, t, N → ∞, mt=o(N) are derived. The results are of interest for the analysis of time-memory tradeoff algorithms.

The recent judgment in Re Holy Trinity Horwich in Manchester Consistory Court raises some interesting questions about the interpretation of mission in the application of the Bishopsgate questions. Thanks to the tests posed by the Bishopsgate questions, arising from the cases of Re St Helen Bishopsgate and Re St Luke the Evangelist Maidstone, the law governing faculty applications requires that the status quo be preserved in cases of church buildings with ‘special architectural and historical interest’ unless outweighed by the ‘necessity’ of ‘the pastoral well-being of the parish or some other compelling reason’.

Abstract:
Background: Acute myocardial infarction includes STEMI and NSTEMI. In STEMI and NSTEMI, an increase in cardiac biomarkers especially troponin I and CK-MB are affected by the ischemic process. In STEMI thrombus blocks the entire artery lumen while in NSTEMI thrombus does not block the entire artery lumen. This can lead to different ischemic processes. Aim: To prove the differences in troponin I and CK-MB values in acute myocardial infarction patients with ST-elevation and without ST- elevation. Methods: An observational analytic study using a cross-sectional design was conducted between April and September 2020. The total sample of the study was 48 samples, consists of 25 samples with STEMI and 23 samples with NSTEMI. The normality test was analyzed using Shapiro-Wilk test. The difference test was analyzed using Mann-Whitney test. Results: Mean troponin I values of STEMI and NSTEMI patients were 30.40 ± 20.79 ng/mL; 1.38 ± 1.76 ng/mL, respectively. Mean CK-MB values in STEMI and NSTEMI patients were 386.12 ± 319.70 U/L; 42.39 ± 27.54 U/L, respectively. There were statistically significant differences in troponin I and CK-MB values (p respectively 0.00; 0.00) in STEMI patients compared to NSTEMI patients. Conclusion: There were differences in troponin I and CK-MB values between STEMI and NSTEMI patients. The troponin I and CK-MB values in STEMI patients were higher than in NSTEMI patients.

Abstract:
This work was studied to investigate the water quality of the Jukjeon stream in Korea based on benthic macroinvertebrates. Several ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrate community were used in the estimation of stream from each of the three stations of the sub-watersheds. During the study periods, the results showed a total of 619 individual benthic macroinvertebrates were collected, including 23 families and 44 species. The first dominant species was Culicini sp. and second was Baetis fuscatus. Ecological score of benthic macroinvertebrate community (ESB) was varied from 61 (St. D) to 71 (St. A) with a mean of 66.5. Water quality at the Jukjeon Stream was grade I. The values of benthic macroinvertebrate index (BMI) at St. A and St. B were 60.4 and 53.4, respectively. Water quality at the two stations was grade C (moderate) on the based BMI. The values of BMI at St. C and St. D were 45.5 and 39.6, respectively. Water quality at the two stations was grade D (bad). The Shannon diversity index (H') of diversity was varied from 3.76 (St. A) to 4.18 (St. B) with a mean of 4.05. The rank percentages of species based on individual abundance (RI) were 4.84 (St. A), 5.66 (St. B), 6.31 (St. C), and 5.97 (St. D). Evenness indices (J) were varied from 0.79 (St. C) to 0.84 (St. B). The values of EPT (Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera and Tricoptera) at St. A, St. B, St. C, and St. D were 0.56, 0.48, 0.29, and 0.17 with a mean of 0.37, respectively. The EPT group accounted for 37% of the total species and 53% of the total individuals. The diversity and richness indices were lower in St. A than in the other stations. In this study, rapid assessment of water quality by macroinvertebrate indicators involves effort and reduced cost in natural stream evaluation.

Abstract:
Winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a major crop grown generally in semi-arid areas of north-west China, and water deficiency is the major factor that limits crop yields. Between 2007 and 2010, we conducted a field experiment on winter wheat to investigate the effects of interval with no-tillage and subsoiling (rotational tillage) after crop harvesting on soil water characteristics and crop yields in semi-arid areas of southern Ningxia. Three tillage treatments were tested: no-tillage in year 1, subsoiling in year 2, and no-tillage in year 3 (NT/ST/NT); subsoiling in year 1, no-tillage in year 2, and subsoiling in year 3 (ST/NT/ST); and conventional tillage over years 1–3 (CT). The three-year comparative experiment showed that during the summer fallow, compared with CT, the NT/ST/NT and ST/NT/ST treatments improved mean soil water content at 0–2.0 m depth by 3.9% and 7.8%, respectively, and significantly (P < 0.05) increased mean rainfall storage efficiency by 15.4% and 26.7%. During the wheat growing season, mean soil water content with the NT/ST/NT and ST/NT/ST treatments was significantly higher (P < 0.05) than with the CT treatment (8.0% and 8.6% higher, respectively), and the two rotational tillage treatments significantly (P < 0.05) increased mean rainfall use efficiency compared with CT (by 9.3% and 10.7%, respectively). Yield improvements coupled with greater water-use efficiency occurred with the NT/ST/NT and ST/NT/ST treatments, i.e. mean grain yields were significantly (P < 0.05) increased by 9.6% and 10.7%, respectively, and water-use efficiency was significantly (P < 0.05) improved by 6.7% and 7.8% compared with the CT treatment. The results showed that the interval of no-tillage and subsoiling could improve soil status, and significantly increase crop yields and water-use efficiency. This method could have important applications in the semi-arid areas of north-west China.

Abstract:
Background and Objectives: It has been established that body position can play an important role in intraocular pressure (IOP) fluctuation. IOP has been previously shown to increase significantly when lying down, relative to sitting; this type of investigation has not been extensively reported for the standing (ST) position. Therefore, this study aims to look for eventual significant IOP changes while ST, sitting, and lying down. Materials and Methods: An Icare PRO was used to measure the IOP of 120 eyes of 60 healthy individuals, with age ranging from 21 to 55 years (mean 29.22 ± 9.12 years), in sitting, supine and ST positions; IOP was measured again, 5 minutes after standing (ST-5m). Results: Mean IOP difference between sitting and ST position was 0.39 ± 1.93 mmHg (95% CI: 0.04 to 0.74 mmHg) (p = 0.027); between sitting and ST-5m, it was −0.48 ± 1.79 mmHg (95% CI: −0.8 to −0.16 mmHg) (p = 0.004); between the sitting and supine position, it was −1.16±1.9 mmHg (95% CI: −1.5 to −0.82 mmHg) (p < 0.001); between the supine and ST position, it was 1.55 ± 2.04 mmHg (95% CI: 1.18 to 1.92 mmHg) (p < 0.001); between supine and ST-5m, it was 0.68 ± 1.87 mmHg (95% CI: 0.34 to 1.02 mmHg) (p < 0.001); and between ST-5m and ST, it was 0.94 ± 1.95 mmHg (95% CI: 0.58 to 1.29 mmHg) (p < 0.001). Mean axial eye length was 24.45 mm (95% CI: 24.22 to 24.69 mm), and mean central corneal thickness was 535.30 μm (95% CI: 529.44 to 541.19 μm). Conclusion: Increased IOP in the ST-5m position suggests that IOP measurements should be performed in this position too. The detection of higher IOP values in the ST-5m position than in the sitting one, may explain the presence of glaucoma damage or progression in apparently normal-tension or compensated patients.

Abstract:
Background: Glycometabolic state at hospital admission is an important risk marker for long-term mortality in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Our aim was to ascertain the associated risk factors and glycemic status in patients with different types of myocardial infarction, and to assess whether such abnormalities can be identified in the early course of myocardial infarction.Methodology: This cross sectional observational study was carried out enrolling 100 subjects with ST elevation (42 subjects) and non ST elevation (58 subjects) myocardial infarction, in the Department of Cardiology, BIRDEM General Hospital, Shahbagh, Dhaka, over a period of six months from January 2012 to June 2012. We did fasting blood glucose and glycatedhaemoglobinA1C (HbA1C) level next day following admission with or without history ofdiabetes mellitus and observed the difference between two types of myocardial infarction (ST elevation and non ST elevation ).Results: Mean age and gender difference was significant between ST elevation and non ST elevationmyocardial infarction. Significant differences in pre-existing risk factors such as Diabetes (95.2%,vs 86.2% ), Dyslipidemia (72.91%, vs 44.82%), Hypertension (79.16%, vs 36.2%) and family history of Ischemic Heart Disease(75%, vs 29.31%) were observed between ST elevation and non ST elevation groups. It was revealed that mean fasting blood glucose (FBG) in ST elevation and non ST elevation was 10.23 mmol/l and 8.42 mmol/l respectively. Mean HbA1C level was 9.2% and 8.9% in ST elevation and non ST elevation. Significant difference in fasting blood glucose and HbA1C was observed between ST elevation and non ST elevation group. Conclusion: Glycemic status is relatively more uncontrolled in ST elevated MI and must be managed with all possible therapeutic modules to minimize further complications.Bangladesh Crit Care J March 2017; 5(1): 3-6

Abstract:
Background: The rat orthotopic lung transplant model is not widely used yet because of the complexity of the procedure, in particular, venous anastomosis. Here, we performed a rat orthotopic lung transplantation using either the suture (ST) or cuff (CT) method for vein anastomosis. Objectives: To compare the vein ST and CT techniques in terms of operative time, success, recipient survival, and early histological outcomes was the objective of this study. Methods: A total of 24 left lung transplants in rats were performed. Twelve syngeneic (Lewis to Lewis) and 12 allogeneic (Brown-Norway to Lewis) lung transplants were performed using either the vein ST or the CT procedure. Arterial and bronchial anastomoses were performed with the CT technique. Graft histological damage was evaluated 3–7 days post-transplant in all rat lungs. Results: The surgical success rate was 75% in both the ST and CT groups. Failures related mainly to vein bleeding (n = 2 in the ST group) and thrombosis (n = 1 in the ST group; n = 2 in the CT group). Total ischemia time was longer in the ST group (122 ± 25 min in ST group vs. 83 ± 10 min in CT group, mean ± SD), due to prolonged warm ischemia time (60 ± 12 min in the ST group vs. 21 ± 5 min in the CT group, mean ± SD), reflecting the time required to complete the vein ST procedure. The prolonged warm ischemia time resulted in significantly higher vascular inflammation in syngeneic grafts (2.3 ± 1.2 ST group vs. 0 in the CT group, mean ± SD) and in increased severity of ischemia/reperfusion injury and acute graft rejection (3.6 ± 0.4 in the ST group vs. 2.6 ± 0.4 in the CT group, mean ± SD) in allogeneic lung transplants. Conclusions: The vein ST technique is a more time-consuming procedure than the CT method and the prolonged anastomosis time has a deleterious impact on transplant outcomes. These findings suggest that warm ischemia time – one of the modifiable transplant factors – should be considered a major risk factor in lung transplantation, particularly in the setting of donation after cardiac death.

Abstract:
Abstract This study sought producer insight into strengths, limitations, opportunities, and threats to Arkansas’ beef cattle industry. The study included small commercial cow-calf (SC, <50 cows), large commercial cow-calf (LC), purebred (PB), and stocker (ST) operators. The study was completed in 2 phases. Phase 1 involved a listening session. Phase 2 involved a statewide survey based on comments from the listening session. A sample of 100 individuals from each industry group was selected randomly from a larger list of contacts. Participants only completed surveys that aligned with their production system. Participants ranked each comment on a 5-point Likert scale. Response rate was 47%. Response mean and standard deviation was calculated for each comment. The mean and median comment rank were 3.99 and 4, respectively. There was strong negative correlation (-0.72, P < 0.001) among comments mean rank and deviation. The overall 75th percentile (4.26) was used to identify greatest items of importance. Greatest current strengths included benefiting from off-farm income, benefits, and insurance (SC); being able to invest in quality bulls (LC); investing in genetic improvement (PB); and adding value to Arkansas’ cattle industry (ST). Greatest limitations included equipment (SC) and land costs (SC and PB), buyer education (PB), cattle health (ST), and state reputation (ST). Highly important future opportunities include economical feed (SC), beef demand (LC, ST), stewardship (LC), genetic improvement (LC, PB), consumer education (PB), disease management (ST), better marketing systems (ST), and value added programs (ST). Greatest foreseen threats included beef demand (SC), government regulations (SC, LC, PB), market volatility (PB), youth interest and aging farmer (PB), loss of antibiotics (ST), disease resistance (ST), escalating costs (ST), and feed shortage (ST). Listening sessions and surveys provide insight into producer thoughts and concerns and provide a foundation for Extension programming.

Abstract:
Aim: According to the ethnic demographical backgrounds, gracilis(G), and semitendinosus(ST) tendon antropometric properties may vary among the individuals of Turkish and active sporter patient populations. In this study, aimed was to define the G and ST tendon proportional anatomical corellations intraoperatively prior to graft harvesting that are uniquely specific to the Turkish ethnicity. Materials-Methods: The study was begun with 50 active sporting patients who were undergone arthroscopic graft anterior cruciate ligament hamstring tendon reconstruction(aACLHTR) in 2013-2014 at our institution. 15 patients were excluded due to premature graft ruptures, and not meeting the minimum of 4hrs/w active sporting criteria. This retrospective cohort was conducted with a total of 35 knees. Inclusion criteria were; Turkish ethnicity, having been undergone aACLHTR between 2013-2014, having been at an age of 16-50 years, having eligible intraoperative antropometric records, having consistent postoperative follow-ups, having been diagnosed to have complete ACL tear, having no ipsilateral/contralateral, congenital/acquired limb deformities or trauma, surgery or lymphedema history. Exclusion criteria were unwillingness to give written consent, having been a premature graft rupture during harvesting, having insufficient data recordings to meet the eligibility criteria. All the surgeries were performed by one senior surgeon who was blind to the study. All the demographical data, and measurements were recorded by a research assistant who was blind to the study. Pearson correlation coefficients were calculated to detect linear relationship between numerical variables. Beta coefficients were estimated by univariate linear regression analysis. All analysis were performed by using SPSS for windows version 22.0 considering the P<0.05 as statistically significant. Results: Mean age 29.9±8.3, Female/Male ratio %8.6/91.4, Right/Left ratio %68.6/31.4, Mean BMI 27.2±4.5, Mean limb length 87.8±6.4 Mean ST length 26.8±2.1, Mean G length 24.06±2.2, Mean ST thickness 6mm±0.9, Mean G thickness 4.5±0.8. ST-G thickness, and ST-G length correlations were r=0.754, p=0.001, r=0.614, p=0.001 respectively. Univariate linear regression analysis revealed statistically significant relationships; 56.8% of variation in G thickness was explained by ST. 1 mm increase in ST thickness resulted in 0.68 mm increase in G thickness, and 37.7% of variation in G length was explained by ST. 1 mm increase in ST length resulted in 0.68 mm increase in G length. Conclusions: With the ST-G index, surgeons would be intraoperatively able to template aACLHTR with a more durable, and adequate planning of hamstring graft construct combination unique to sporters’ demographic specifics, and to sports’ biomechanical specifics. Thus, the possiblity of antropometrically inadequate graft combinations would be precautioned. [Figure: see text]

Abstract:
The study analysed variation in surface temperature (ST) in Makurdi Urban Area (MUA), Northcentral Nigeria. A total of 12 Landsat TM/ETM+ images were acquired in January, April and June of 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2006. The ST was estimated from the 12 Landsat TM/ETM+ images, grouped into seven classes, and the area of each ST class was determined using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS). The ST magnitudes vary spatially from 27.5oC (water bodies) to 50.7oC (built-up land), representing an intensity of 23.2oC. The mean seasonal ST varies from 32.4oC-34.5oC (cool-dry season), 35.5oC-38.8oC (hot-dry season) and 30.8oC-31.4oC (hot-wet season). The mean annual ST has increased from 32.9oC (1991) to 35.9oC (2006) with ST intensity of 3.0oC. The ST classes of 27oC-29oC and 33oC-37oC recorded the highest loss and gain in area of -126.5km2 and 94.5km2 whereas ST classes of 29oC-33oC and 41oC-45oC recorded the least and highest per centage change in area of 22% and 768%. The result showed decreasing and increasing trends in the areas of cooler and warmer surfaces, which are attributed to increase in anthropogen surface materials, with higher heat storage capacities, due to urbanisation.

Abstract:
The mean flow field, aerodynamic forces, bending moment and Strouhal number (St) were investigated for isolated surface-mounted finite-height square prisms of very small aspect ratio (AR). The Reynolds number was Re [Formula: see text] for the velocity measurements and [Formula: see text] for the force, bending moment and St measurements. Prisms with AR = 0.5, 0.7 and 1 were considered, under two different boundary layer thicknesses of [Formula: see text]–0.8 (thin) and [Formula: see text] (thick). For both boundary layers, the mean drag force coefficient showed a sharper increase with AR compared with taller prisms, and the mean normal force coefficient increased smoothly, with a lower magnitude than pressure-based normal force coefficients. An approximately constant point of action of the drag force was found for AR < 1. While the thick boundary layer caused the spectral peaks to weaken and St to decrease, some periodicity was still found for all AR. These features were connected to the changes in the mean wake of the prisms with AR and [Formula: see text]. A smaller AR and larger [Formula: see text] had similar effects, causing the wake to shorten, the probability and type of reattachment of the flow on the free end to change, and the mean wake structure to transition from a streamwise wake vorticity pattern to an inner vorticity pattern. The prism with AR = 1 showed a dipole wake structure similar to that of taller prisms, while the unique wake topology of prisms with AR < 1 was found to be responsible for the different force and St trends identified in this range of AR.

Abstract:
The present study was carried out in 2016–2017 to assess the effect of subsoiling depth on the soil bulk density, stability of soil structure, soil physical properties and summer maize yield based on a field experiment started in 2015. Four tillage depths were studied: conventional tillage 25 cm (CT25); subsoiling tillage 30 cm (ST30); subsoiling tillage 35 cm (ST35) and subsoiling tillage 40 cm (ST40). The results showed that at the 20–50 cm depth ST30, ST35 and ST40 decreased the mean soil bulk by 4.59, 7.13 and 8.27%, respectively, and at the 0–40 cm depth reduced soil compactness by 17.62, 23.63 and 36.42%, respectively, as compared to CT25. ST40 reduced soil compactness in the 0–40 cm soil layer under conditions of relative drought (during the maize season growing season of 2016), ST35 and ST40 increased macroaggregates (> 0.25 mm), improved the stability of the aggregate structure (geometric mean diameter and mean weight diameter) (20–40 cm), increased soil water storage capacity at 40–60 cm and increased maize yield by 7.89% and 8.91%, respectively. Considering the improvement of soil properties and crop yield, ST35 was the optimum method to increase maize yield and modulate soil physical properties in the North China Plain.

Abstract:
We explore the simultaneous exact controllability of mean and variance of an insurance policy by utilizing the benefit St and premium Pt as control inputs to manage the policy value tV and the variance 2σt of future losses. The goal is to determine whether there exist control inputs that can steer the mean and variance from a prescribed initial state at t=0 to a prescribed final state at t=T, where the initial–terminal pair of states (0V,TV) and (2σ0,2σT) represent the mean and variance of future losses at times t=0 and t=T, respectively. The mean tV and variance 2σt are governed by Thiele’s and Hattendorff’s differential equations in continuous time and recursive equations in discrete time. Our study focuses on solving the problem of exact controllability in both continuous and discrete time. We show that our result can be used to devise control inputs St,Pt in the interval [0,T] so that the mean and variance partially track a specified curve tV=a(t) and 2σt=b(t), respectively, i.e., at a fine sampling of points in the time interval [0,T].

Abstract:
Background Sedentary time (ST) has been associated with detrimental health outcomes in fibromyalgia. Previous evidence in the general population has shown that not only is the total amount of ST harmful but the pattern of accumulation of sedentary behaviors is also relevant to health, with prolonged unbroken periods (ie, bouts) being particularly harmful. Objective To examine the association of the patterns of ST with health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in women with fibromyalgia and to test whether these associations are independent of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA). Methods A total of 407 women (mean 51.4 years of age [SD 7.6]) with fibromyalgia participated. ST and MVPA were measured with triaxial accelerometry. The percentage of ST accumulated in bouts and the frequency of sedentary bouts of different lengths (≥10 min, ≥20 min, ≥30 min, and ≥60 min) were obtained. Four groups combining total ST and sedentary bout duration (≥30 min) were created. We assessed HRQoL using the 36-item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36). Results A greater percentage of ST spent in all bout lengths was associated with worsened physical function, bodily pain, vitality, social function, and physical component summary (PCS) (all P<.05). In addition, a higher percentage of ST in bouts of 60 minutes or more was related to worsened physical role (P=.04). A higher frequency of bouts was negatively associated with physical function, social function, the PCS (≥30 min and ≥60 min), physical role (≥60 min), bodily pain (≥60 min), and vitality (≥20 min, ≥30 min, and ≥60 min) (all P<.05). Overall, for different domains of HRQoL, these associations were independent of MVPA for higher bout lengths. Patients with high total ST and high sedentary bout duration had significantly worsened physical function (mean difference 8.73 units, 95% CI 2.31-15.15; independent of MVPA), social function (mean difference 10.51 units, 95% CI 2.59-18.44; not independent of MVPA), and PCS (mean difference 2.71 units, 95% CI 0.36-5.06; not independent of MVPA) than those with low ST and low sedentary bout duration. Conclusions Greater ST in prolonged periods of any length and a higher frequency of ST bouts, especially in longer bout durations, are associated with worsened HRQoL in women with fibromyalgia. These associations were generally independent of MVPA.

Abstract:
This paper introduces a new digital integration that combines edge diffractometry with convolutional neural networks (CNN) for via metrology and inspection. The beam propagation method (BMP) was used to simulate the interferogram generated by edge diffractometry to characterize via edge roughness (VER). A comprehensive database was established to link different fringe patterns to VER for CNN training. The well-trained CNN-based methodology provided a fast and accurate assessment of VER, with a root mean squared error (RMSE) of 0.073 and an average mean absolute deviation ratio (MADR) of 2.274%. In addition, the proposed digital approach was compared to the multilayer perceptron machine (MLP) in terms of computational efficiency and predictive accuracy. The proposed digital integration greatly improved the accuracy and speed of VER measurement, characterization, and quantification, potentially enhancing device yield and reliability. The successful application of this digital approach could open up possibilities for various types of via or pattern metrology.
