Considering the concern, arising from the initial teacher education, to understand how the mathematical contents have been addressed, in different methodologies and different perspectives, the argumentative text reflects the interest in illuminating the darkness of sensitizes us. Thus, we combine the theme - content approach - to Mathematical Modeling in Mathematics Education tendency. This, in turn, has gained importance in recent years, which can be verified by the diversity of events that the academic and scientific community has promoted, in addition to a variety of publications and technical works - dissertations and theses - produced under this guidance. The Interest in the trend can be justified by their dynamism, by alternatives provided through different conceptions, the reflections developed within the research group and studies that reveal ways that have not been covered. In this sense, taking into account our initial motivation and the tendency in question, it is appropriate to establish a relationship of coexistence, that is, we seek to investigate the approach of mathematical content in activities of Mathematical Modeling. Therefore, we chose to look at the activities of the Educational Development Program - PDE, understanding that research here is still incipient. Therefore, our research is based on the question "What is shows the approach of mathematical content in the didactic and pedagogical production of PDE teachers, who presented the main theme, the Mathematical Modeling?" We emphasize that the research thins to the qualitative way of proceeding, supported by a variety of procedures. The position assumed by us is the phenomenological-hermeneutics, as we seek to go-tothing- same, look at the phenomenon as it manifests itself. The way to go is illuminated from our question and this leads us to the work done by PDE teachers, more precisely the final articles. We emphasize, however, we seek those who bring in their scope the development of mathematical modeling practices, as these can be understood as a means by which we are able to access our research object - approach to mathematical content -, to this, our research takes on a metasearch character, that is, research that focuses on the research. It is worth mentioning that the developed analyzes were performed from the Atlas T.i. software which is characterized as a qualitative analysis tool. We point out that their dynamics depends "solely" the stance taken by the researcher. Taking into account the stance taken by us and the "tools" available for analysis, we seek the -epoché- reductions that culminate in large convergences - categories - which have been described and, as a result, interpreted in a metatext, seeking all what proved to be the categories in the light of our question. In this direction, it proved different aspects of the content approach to Modeling activities. These aspects say, effective approaches in the appropriation of knowledge is realized, both with respect to the teacher and the student. But they also say, innocuous approaches, even disfigured. When shown, the approach of the content comes from the PDE teacher's relationship with the supervisor, the literature used in Mathematical Modeling in Mathematics Education, the resources used to address the Mathematical content, understanding of own Mathematical Modeling and other aspects of working with content in Modeling activities.

Full textThis research work will develop the business plan of Medifácil, a new company that seeks to enter the mobile applications market with its metasearch for pharmaceutical products. The constant technological innovation has contributed to the increase of ventures that rely on technology to provide virtual solutions to people. This is the case of the pharmaceutical sector, because due to the Covid-19 pandemic, pharmacies and drug stores have implemented or improved their mobile applications and websites to cover the need to purchase medicines without leaving home. However, although there are companies that sell and distribute medicines in the market, they have problems with regards to shortage of stock, or the long time it takes for customers to compare prices between pharmacies. For that reason, Medifácil brings a proposal that will mitigate these problems and improve the experience of searching and buying medicines. According to that, in a single application the required drug can be searched, and the metasearch will list the pharmacies and drugstores that have stock in real time, so that prices can be compared, and the costumer can choose the best option. Medifácil can be downloaded for free in the official Google and Apple markets, so the main source of income will come from a commission charged to each affiliated pharmacy and drugstore that makes sales thanks to the redirection of the metasearch. At the beginning, the coverage will be in Metropolitan Lima and up to 40 kilometers around, but it is planned to enter La Libertad and Arequipa in the third year of operation. An investor partner is required to contribute 30% of the capital equivalent to S / 45,382. This will be used to cover all the expenses of the start-up of the business and will be recovered in less than two years.

This has led to many people Due to the new work adaptation; they have to stay at home working. In a survey generated in recent months, 75% of people longed to leave home as they used to, go on a trip or visit places outside their usual environment in a short time to clear up and reduce the stress of day to day Likewise, it is important to note that during these months many sectors have been affected, and in the case of Peru, the sector with the greatest negative impact was Tourism, also having a low impact on the economy in terms of income. Thanks to technological advances, it has been possible to verify that there are already vaccines that will begin to be applied in a short time, likewise, the government is beginning to have action plans to reinsert the tourism sector with the measures corresponding to the market. For this reason, this research work was based on proposing an alternative business idea where people can make short trips using a page that provides information on agencies with different alternatives for fun in nearby places, quickly, easily and safe.

The Internet has become a vast information resource in recent years. To help ordinary users find desired data in Internet, many search engines have been created , but no one can contain the all information of Internet. Users are hard to choose which search engines are suitable for use and spend extra time to learn to use each different search engines. Metasearch engine offer mechanisms to search for the search engine that suitable for user needs. The selection algorithm used by a Metasearch engine to determine whether a search engine should be sent the query. Database classification is part of Database selection process. Database classification have increased selection procedure efficiency. Accuracy is important in Database classification. If Database classification. The wrong classification affect the accuracy and efficiency of database selection procedure. In this study, A Classifier maintenance system is designed and implemented. The main propose is to avoid the bad classifyer. The accurate classification procedure could improve efficacy of database selection.

The information on the Internet grows fast. Many people surf on the Internet with single search engine, such as Google, Openfind, and so on. But when users really search their requirement information, they usually need two or more search engines to find out their information. We can’t know the searching results from these search engines whether they meet requirement or not and the searching results are the alive linking now. In this thesis, we propose a idea for the weighting metasearch engine and detecting web pages. First, users enter searching keywords and select the query combination and the weight of their search engines. The information retrieval module will adjust the format of these queries and dispatch it to the search engine selector to start the task of the searching. Next, metasearch engine will return the results from heterogonous search engines and the information filtering module will filter these repeated web pages. Finally, the information integration module will resort the orders of the results and the information detecting module will also perform detecting the web page. The system incorporates the searching results from the selected search engines and considerates the user’s favor extent for their selected search engines. Thus, this can enhance the precision and efficacy to really meet user’s information requirement and quickly know the alive linking of these searching results. Through the processing, the user can procure the task of the searching data effectively.

In recent years, the electric resource in the library has increased rapidly, when encounter with the abundant and diverse electric resource, the uses often have difficulties to choose proper databases, and are unfamiliar with the contents and utilizations of each database, therefore feel indecisive. Recently many libraries introduced Metasearch system, expect to make the users feel more convenient to make a single search across heterogeneous multiple resources and get what they need. The developments of the kind of system are mostly relevant with the discussion of technological applications, however lacking of understanding of the usability and the actual using circumstances of the system. Therefore, expect to identify the cognizance of the users toward the system and the usability of it from the angle of the users. This study applied the most popular Metasearch system in the academic library in Taiwan as the study platform. Invite the interface designers, scholars, and graduate students from with different background from the academic circle and industries as the research object. The design of this study can be divided into two phases. First, collect the references of user interface design principles, generalize important design elements, and then evaluated by the professionals of the suitability and importance of each interface design principle applies on Metasearch, in order to generate the proper evaluation criterion of Metasearch interface. The second phases proceed with two examinations on the participants who set up for search tasks according to their personal research demands, in order to avoid the influence from the unfamiliarity of the system. The study monitored the participants searching experiences and oral expressed thoughts with computer recording software, and assist with observations to collect the using condition. Finally, generalize the search log analysis, interface evaluation questionnaires, and interviews to analyze the usability of Metasearch. The results showed that the participants commonly recognized the convenience of single search across heterogeneous multiple resources of Metasearch. However they showed less satisfaction on the interface design and the search function. Overall speaking, the using efficiency and effectiveness were not shown forth. According to the evaluation from professional participants and general participants of Metasearch, the interface evaluating specialist, information retrieval professionals and general participants have more agreements, they only showed diverse opinions on whether there are simplicity and clarity of system expression or not. The system managers have different cognitions on the simplicity, flexibility, freedom, visibility, and usability of the system. The main reason is because that general participants emphasize the sorting and organizing of the search results, expect the system to automatic deduping, present relevance ranking, and provide proper clustering in order to benefit the selection and determination. However, the system managers consider that the system requires sufficient time to retrieve the great amount of heterogeneous resources. Therefore, in order to shorten the waiting time, the search results should show in the order of the retrieved time. The different considerations cause the low satisfaction of the participants. As for this aspect, although some systems have proceeded with improvements, however the waiting time is relatively increased. There are still technologic difficulties that required to be overcome, if enable to integrate the search results at once, and provide proper display methods will assist the acceptability of Metasearch.

This dissertation studies the design of an intelligent metasearch engine that is capable of predicting a user’s next accesses and recommending combination of paragraphs from relevant web pages in a page clipping format. Our approach is based on observation of general users’ browsing behavior in which users prefer top ranking items in search results. Three search methods are implemented in this engine. First, the Search engine Vector Voting (SVV) method combines search results from six well known search engines and re-arranges the ranking order of these search results according to their weights obtained from user behavior function. The adoption of SVV is to eliminate possible bias of any single search engine. Then, the HyperLink Prediction (HLP) method predicts all the hyperlinks that users are most likely to visit starting from the seed URLs in SVV search results. User evaluation results indicate that users are more satisfied with our HLP search methods than general search engines. Also, effectiveness measure results indicate that both SVV and HLP out-perform other commercial metasearch engines. Finally, the Page Clipping Synthesis (PCS) method extracts paragraphs from the web pages collected by the HLP method. These paragraphs are arranged in a page clipping format. PCS applies a dynamically terminated genetic algorithm to generate a set of best-of-run page clippings in a controlled amount of time. These page clippings provide users the information they are most interested in and therefore save the users time and trouble in browsing lots of hyperlinks. We justify that the dynamically terminated genetic algorithm yields cost effective solutions with comparisons to solutions reached by conventional genetic algorithms. Meanwhile, effectiveness measure confirms that PCS performs better than general search engines.

Metasearch systems perform simultaneous searches across heterogeneous electronic resources through a single entry. In order to serve users, more and more libraries install metasearch systems to integrate their resources. However, only a few user studies of such systems have been conducted. This study aims to investigate the usability of Muse Search, the metasearch system which installed in National Taiwan University Library, and to understand users’ viewpoints toward this system. Five components of usability were analyzed: efficient, effective, learnable, engaging, and error. Observations and interviews were conducted in this study. Ten graduate students from the fields of humanities, social science, nature science, life science, and engineering science were solicited in the study. Students were requested to achieve four tasks. While they searching through Muse Search, researcher observed their behaviors and took notes. After tasks were completed, students were interviewed by asking questions concerning the usability of Muse Search. Their comments and satisfaction level were also collected. The conclusions were divided into 5 components of usability. In the efficient part, results indicated that the efficiency of Muse Search could not be judged by time. In the effective part, there are five conclusions: 1. In Muse Search, users could choose several databases to search, set personal work place, organize search results, and obtain results effectively. 2. De-duplication and setting personal database list are the most effective functions. 3. Muse Search helps students to learn more relevant databases and they are willing to use those databases again. 4. Students are satisfied with the search results of Muse Search. In the learnable part, there are four conclusions: 1. Muse Search is easy to use to most students, however some function icons are hard to discover, making it unlearnable. 2. The terminologies used in the toolbar can not be understood by most students. 3. The display of resource groups is not clear enough. 4. Half of students pointed out that the whole system interface design is easy to learn. In the engaging part, there are three conclusions: 1. Students like personal database list and de-duplication. 2. Half of students feel impatient when waiting for search results, but most of them still have positive attitudes throughout the process. 3. Most students like Muse Search and are willing to use it again. In the error part, results indicated that half of students could not receive appropriate help service due to lack of instant instructions, improper location of help icon, and the inappropriate content in help screen. According to the findings of this study, suggestions to Muse Search are as follows: 1. to revise improper display of information in Muse Search. 2. To add new search functions, or revise old ones to meet users’ needs. 3. To improve help service. 4. To revise terminologies which are difficult to understand.

With the rise of the online booking platform OTA (Online Travel Agent) and the metasearch engines, the modern hotel reservations are more diversified. At present, research rarely compares the consumption behavior of these two. In order to understand the OTA and metasearch engines dominate the current online hotel reservation market, and what are the key factors for consumers to choose online booking websites? And compare the reasons for online booking consumers through the two types of (OTA and comparison network) sites to understand whether the factors affecting OTA and metasearch engines are different. The study conducted a survey on consumers who actually used online reservations at the Taoyuan Travel Exhibition. A total of 405 questionnaires were issued, and 390 valid questionnaires were obtained, with an effective rate of 92%. The results of this study show that the product price, customer relationship and search intent on the OTA website have a significant impact on behavior intention through regression analysis. On metasearch engines, its website quality, customer relationship and search intention have a significant impact on behavior intention. Customer relationships and search intent have a significant impact on both types of websites (OTA and metasearch engines). In two chennels, consumers may influence behavior intentions due to previous experience, relatives or positive feedback. The quality of the website performing better on metasearch engines. Consumers will find more rooms, get more accurate information on travel products, and get better post-purchase services. The results of this study are expected to provide practical advices for online booking platforms, and position their own business methods better and provide it as a reference for future research.

Past usability studies of metasearch systems have been so far mostly conducted in the academic library context, the results of which might not be applicable to public libraries where the users are much more diverse and generally lack the knowledge about the electronic databases. Using the Hyint 2.0 metasearch system currently available through Taipei Municipal Library as an example, the study proposed a subject-based interface for metasearch system that aims at lowering the cognitive burden for users who are not familiar with online databases. An experimental interface was constructed based on the results of a card sorting study of five reference librarians. A usability study was then conducted, firstly, to compare the performance between the proposed and baseline interfaces; and secondly, to identify usability issues the users might have with the metasearch system. A total of 24 public library users participated in the study, in which they were asked to perform four assigned tasks alternately with the two interfaces. Users’ interactions were logged and their attitudes toward the two interfaces were elicited by the post-search questionnaire. A post-search interview was also conducted with a view to understanding users’ reaction to the metasearch function in general. Furthermore, their search results were judged by the experts as a measurement of system effectiveness. The results show that the proposed interface performed significantly better in all but the search result measure. While in general the users have a favorable attitude toward the meta-search function, seven usability issues were identified for the improvement of the system.

Since the computer and network technology have developed rapidly so far, people utilize it to increase their academic or job performance. Information provided by the library has always been considered the most valuable and accurate. As a sophisticated digital library emerges to satisfy individuals’ information need, library users can utilize and access the authorized information without the constraint of time and space. Previous researches investigate the impact of information systems success on several aspects, both individually and organizationally. However, these studies focus more on the system functions and usually ignore the effect of individual cognition and social influence. In this study, we extend the IS success model with two more factors-self-efficacy and subjective norms, trying to explore the potential influences on digital library usage, user satisfaction and performance. This research takes the Chang Jung Christian University library E-resources (electron resources) Metasearch system as the case study. We adopted the questionnaire for the students, and finally got 160 useful questionnaires to assess the hypotheses. The research results confirmed that self-efficacy and subjective norm can significantly affect the usage of E-resource Metasearch System. Subsequently, the users feel satisfied with the system, and increase their academic performance after using it. Finally, there are two suggestions proposed in this research – cooperating more with educational program to increase users’ information literacy, and improving the system interface, functions, and services to enhance its quality.
