ABSTRAKMasalah Gastroenteritis (GE) ialah masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang penanggulangannya tidak hanya dilakukan dengan pendekatan medis dan pelayanan kesehatan saja, melainkan dengan melakukan pemahaman tentang kebersihan makanan dan minuman yang akan dikonsumsi setiap harinya juga menyangkut aspek pengetahuan dan perilaku yang kurang mendukung pola hidup sehat.Analisis time series dan proyeksi tentang morbiditas bisa memberikan informasi yang berkaitan dengan angka kesakitan yang terjadi. Di RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya jumlah penderita GE perbulan rata-rata mencapai 200 pasien. Dengan tingginya jumlah pasien GE tersebut, maka akan dilakukan analisis time series pada penderita GE di bagian unit rekam medis rawat inap RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya berdasarkan data bulanan tahun 2011 sampai 2014, dilihat dari kejadian setiap bulannya. Hasil prediksi jumlah penderita GE rawat inap bulan Mei 2014 terjadi peningkatan jumlah penderita menjadi 95 penderita; bulan Juni-Agustus terjadi penurunan jumlah penderita menjadi 80, 59, dan 16 penderita; September-November terjadi peningkatan menjadi 62, 103, dan 142 penderita; Mei-November 2014 Laki-laki mengalami peningkatan jumlah penderita pada bulan Mei sebanyak 54 penderita; bulan Juni-Agustus 2014 mengalami penurunan jumlah penderita menjadi 48, 38, dan 10 penderita; bulan September-November 2014 mengalami peningkatan jumlah penderita sebanyak 29, 65, dan 83 penderita sebanyak di RSUD Dr. Soetomo.

Mount Putuo in Zhejiang Province, China, is the most important holy land of Guanyin in East Asia. Landscape sacralization is a key modality by which sacred meaning is constructed. This paper takes several examples—the Tidal Sound Cave (“chaoyin dong” 潮音洞), the Well of the Immortal Mei (“Meixian jing” 梅仙井), the Well of Ge Hong (“Ge Hong jing” 葛洪井), the Well of the Immortal (“xianren jing” 仙人井), and Duangu Pier (“Duan Gu daotou” 短姑道頭)—to analyze the three types of processes of sacralization. The Tidal Sound Cave is a re-construction of the founding myths; Well of the Immortal Mei, the Well of Ge Hong and the Well of the Immortal reflect harmony between local legends of Daoist immortals and the sacred Buddhist site; and the Duangu Pier accomplished its sanctification process in the course of local pilgrimage activities. By sorting out the mechanism and process of landscape sanctification and exploring the generation and renewal of landscape meaning, we can observe the logic of the construction of this sacred site.

AbstractSix multiparous Holstein-Friesian cows were offered a total mixed ration based on maize silage in a repeated measure design to evaluate the partition of gross energy (GE) during early to mid lactation. Four measurements were made at 6-week intervals with energy and nitrogen balances carried out in open-circuit respiration chambers over 6 days during lactation weeks 6, 12, 18 and 24. The intakes of total diet dry matter (DM) corrected for volatile losses (VCDM), organic matter (OM) and GE declined significantly (P< 0•01) as lactation progressed, although apparent digestibility of these fractions was not altered, resulting in a significant (P< 0•01) decline in digestible nutrient intake at each stage of lactation. Methane and urine energy losses were not significantly affected, resulting in significantly (P< 0·001) higher amounts of digestible energy (DE) partitioned to methane and urine as lactation progressed with associated significant reductions in metabolizable energy (ME) intake (MEI) (P< 0·01) and ME as a proportion of DE (P< 0·001) and GE (q) (P< 0·05). With advancing lactation there was a significant (P< 0·001) increase in the amount of ME partitioned to heat (HP/MEI), but no significant change in the amount partitioned to milk and tissue. Individual values for diet metabolizability (ME/GE) at actual (production) levels (qa) (mean 0·625 MJ/MJ) were corrected to an equivalent value at maintenance (qmc) (mean 0·666 MJ/MJ). The overall ME intakes (MJ/day) were: ad libitum, 246, corrected for level of feeding effect, 263, with a predicted ME requirement according to AFRC (1993) (MER93) of 242. Substitution of the calculated qmc into the predictive equations (AFRC, 1993) resulted in a mean maintenance requirement of 57·6 MJ/day (0·464 MJ/kg M0·75/day) whilst the mean value derived from the linear model describing the experimental data was 82·5 MJ/day (0·664 MJ/kg M0·75/day). The mean efficiencies of utilization of ME for milk production derived from AFRC (1993) and the linear regression model were 0·653 MJ/MJ and 0·625 MJ/MJ respectively.

Gastroentritis merupakan penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas pada anak di seluruh dunia, dimana pada balita daya tahan tubuh masih sangat rentan terhadap penyakit. Selain itu penyakit gastroentritis pada balita juga dipengaruhi oleh perilaku ibu, karena balita sangat tergantung pada ibu dalam melakukan kegiatan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelilian ini adalah untuk menganalisa hubungan perilaku ibu tentang kebersihan dan frekuensi kejadian gastroentritis pada balita usia 1-3 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan analitik kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 April – 31 Mei 2010 di RS Adi Husada Kapasari, uji statistik dengan menggunakan sperman rank. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa sebagian besar (56%) ibu berperilaku tidak sehat dan sebagian besar (60%) balita usia 1-3 tahun terserang GE > 3x dalam kurun waktu 3 bulan. Dan hasil sperman rank didapatkan thitung 9,39 > ttabel 2,048, jadi Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang menyatakan terdapat hubungan perilaku ibu tentang kebersihan dan frekuensi kejadian GE pada balita usia 1-3 tahun. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya penyuluhan tentang pentingnya membiasakan ibu untuk berperilaku hidup sehat sebagai upaya untuk pencegahan penyakit gastroenteritis pada balita.

AbstractToday, social media is perceived as the media. Blogs and bloggers have changed journalism; YouTube has discovered rare and raw talents; and the trinity (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) have sparked revolutions. Focusing on end-users instead of producers and its interactive-ness are two paramount characters that permit ordinary people to engage in extra-ordinary activities. From the showbiz to politics, social media has left its marks. The World political events in recent years, in particular Arab Spring of MENA (Middle East and North Africa) have showcased positive link between social media and democratization. Malaysia has experienced quite a similar phenomenon to MENA in the verge of the 12th General Election (GE-12), held on March 8, 2008. The failure of the only ruling coalition, Barisan Nasional (National Front, or BN) to retain its two-third majority in the GE-12 is an empirical evident of people?s desire and aspiration for free and fair elections, good-governance, and democratization which are very different from race-based politics. At a glimpse, the results of the 13th General Election (GE-13) which was held on May 5, 2013 are quite similar to the GE-12. Yet, deeper analyses indicated race-base politics and �strong government� has made a comeback. Hence, this article explores the paradox when the state is not only interfering but also participating in social media. This exploration demonstrates social media is not only meant for the masses; and that by possessing money, machinery, and authority; the state is potentially dominant at social media.

AbstrakSaat ini, media sosial diterima sebagai media. Blog dan para blogger mengubah jurnalisme: YouTube menemukan bakat-bakat terpendam dan alami; serta the trinity (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) telah memicu revolusi. Fokus yang lebih diberikan kepada pengguna akhir ketimbang produsen dan karakter interaktifnya adalah dua karakter penting yang memungkinkan orang-orang biasa terlibat dalam aktivitas-aktivitas yang tidak biasa. Dari pertunjukan ke politik, media sosial telah meninggalkan jejaknya. Peristiwa politik dunia dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, khususnya fenomena Arab Spring dari MENA (Timur Tengah dan Afrika Utara) telah menunjukkan hubungan positif antara media sosial dan demokratisasi. Malaysia mempunyai pengalaman yang hampir sama dengan fenomena MENA dalam Pemilihan Umum ke 12 (GE-12), pada 8 Maret 2008. Kegagalan dari satu-satunya koalisi yang berkuasa, Barisan Nasional (National Front, or BN) untuk mempertahankan 2/3 suaranya adalah bukti empiris bahwa rakyat berkeinginan dan mempunyai aspirasi untuk Pemilu yang bebas dan adil, pemerintahan yang baik, dan demokratisasi yang sangat berbeda dari politik berbasis ras. Sekilas, hasil Pemilihan Umum 13 (GE-13) yang diselenggarakan pada 5 Mei 2013 sangat mirip dengan GE-12. Namun, analisis yang lebih dalam menunjukkan bahwa politik berbasis ras dan pemerintah kuat telah kembali. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini mengeksplorasi hal yang paradoks ketika negara tidak hanya mencampuri tetapi juga berpartisipasi di media sosial. Eksplorasi ini menunjukkan bahwa media sosial tidak hanya dimaksudkan untuk massa; dan bahwa dengan memiliki uang, mesin, dan otoritas; negara berpotensi menjadi dominan di media sosial.

Concept The semiconductor-sensitized thermal cell (STC) is a new method for converting heat directly into electric power using dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). In the STC, the dye of DSSC was replaced with a semiconductor to allow the system to operate using heat instead of light.1 The number of thermally excited charges in a semiconductor is determined by the Fermi-Dirac distribution2; for example, Ge generates a number of thermally excited charges that exceeds the number of photons in room light at 80 ˚C. STC is expected as a powerful energy-harvesting device for wide applications such as IoT devices, distribution power sources, etc. Previous Results As the STC demonstration, liquid display was operated at 80 ˚C and Bluetooth devices was operated in the heat of asphalt.3 The biggest issue of STC is the power restore phenomena “in” heat. Initially, it was thought that the STC would stop generating electricity when it reached a chemical equilibrium at the set temperature. However, when the distance between the electrodes is close, the discharge performance restores when the circuit switch is turned off. In this presentation, we will focus on this recovery and electrochemically investigate what kind of phenomenon causes the recovery. Methods and Results To examine the recovery phenomenon, we focused on the electrolyte thickness. The STCs consist of three layers, an electrolyte layer sandwiched with a semiconductor working electrode and a counter electrode. We fabricated 4 different Ge-STCs with different electrolyte thicknesses and examined their electrochemical properties. Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) was used for the counter electrode. The CuCl, CuCl2 and LiCl in PEG600 was used for the electrolyte.4 The 0.78, 1, 2 and 3 μL of the electrolyte were used when the thicknesses of the electrolyte were 85, 114, 228 and 342 μm, respectively, to eliminate the difference in the contact area of the electrode/electrolyte. The obtained cells were named according to their corresponding electrode distances (Cell-85, -114, -228 and -342). As a result, the cell with the narrowest electrode spacing and the lowest electrolyte mass discharged the longest (Figure). Introduction: In 2017, a two-dose recombinant zoster vaccine (RZV) containing glycoprotein E (gE) and a novel adjuvant was approved to prevent herpes zoster and its complications in adults ≥50 years of age in the US. There are limited data on the immunogenicity and safety of RZV in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Methods: Between 8/15/2018 and 11/4/2019, RZV-naïve patients with CLL and monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL) seen at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN were enrolled in this IRB-approved study. All participants received two doses of vaccine, at 0 and 2 months after enrollment. Cell-mediated immunity was measured by dual-color interferon γ (IFN- γ) and interleukin 2 (IL-2) FLUOROSpot in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) after depletion of ≥50% leukemic B cells. Results were reported in spot forming cells (SFC)/106 PBMC in wells stimulated with gE overlapping peptides or varicella zoster virus (VZV) inactivated cell lysate. Response rate was defined as the proportion of participants who achieved a ≥2-fold increase in IFN- γ or IL-2 SFC/106 PBMC one month after the second dose of vaccine compared with pre-vaccination baseline levels. We also determined the geometric mean fold rise (GMFR) and geometric mean count (GMC) of SFC /106 PBMC at baseline and 90 days after the first dose of vaccine. Two cohorts were enrolled: Cohort 1 consisted of individuals with previously untreated MBL and CLL; and Cohort 2 consisted of CLL participants who were on Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi) therapy. We compared the response data to historic age-and sex-matched healthy controls who received RZV. Chi-square or Fisher's exact tests measured differences in response rates and Kruskall-Wallis tested for differences in continuous variables. Among CLL participants, multivariable regression analysis was used to investigate the association between day 90 SFC and prior BTKi treatment, accounting for age at RZV, age at CLL diagnosis, sex, and day 0 SFC. Results: Sixty-one participants were enrolled. Paired samples were available for 41 participants (22 in Cohort 1 and 19 [18 ibrutinib and 1 acalabrutinib] in Cohort 2), and 68 age- and sex-matched healthy controls. Baseline characteristics of MBL/CLL participants are shown in Table 1. Compared to healthy controls, participants with MBL/CLL had a significantly lower IFN-γ VZV-specific response rate (41% vs. 63%, p=0.03) and IFN-γ gE-specific response (56% vs. 96%, p<0.001); although there were no differences in IL-2 response rates to VZV (51% vs 68%, p=0.09) or gE (95% vs. 100%, p=0.14, Table 2). There were differences in GMFR between participants with MBL/CLL and controls that reached statistical significance for IFN-γ and IL-2 gE-specific responses and borderline significance for IFN-γ VZV-specific responses (Table 2). VZV-specific response rates did not significantly differ between individuals with untreated MBL/CLL and those receiving BTKi (52% vs. 28%, p=0.12 for IFN- γ; (62% vs. 39%, p=0.15 for IL-2), nor did IL-2 gE-specific responses (96% vs. 95%, p=1.0). However, untreated MBL/CLL participants had significantly higher IFN- γ gE-specific response rate compared to BTKi-treated individuals (73% vs. 37%, p=0.02, Table 2). IFN- γ and IL-2 VZV- and gE-specific SFC GMC was significantly higher at Day 90 compared to Day 0 in all vaccinees, although the magnitude of response was significantly lower in MBL/CLL participants compared to healthy controls (Table 3). Among participants with MBL/CLL, age at diagnosis, age at receipt of RZV, and sex did not predict response to vaccination after accounting for prevaccination values. No serious adverse events were noted among MBL/CLL participants while on this study. Additional analyses including determination of humoral immunogenicity and long-term follow up to ascertain risk of herpes zoster infection are ongoing at this time. Conclusion: RZV was associated with lower cell mediated immunogenicity in MBL/CLL participants compared to healthy older adults. Among individuals with CLL, BTKi treatment was associated with decreased cell mediated immunogenicity of the vaccine. Although some TP53 mutations lead to a loss of function of wild-type p53, many other TP53 mutations confer gain-of-function (GOF) activities, which promote cancer cell metastasis and pro-tumorigenic inflammation. Despite that many functional models of GOF mutant p53 (mutp53) have been proposed previously, the mechanisms involved in mutp53 GOF still remain largely elusive. Here we show that by directly targeting minichromosome maintenance complex component 5 (MCM5), a component of the hexametric DNA helicase MCM2-7 complex, GOF mutp53 predisposes cancer cells to replication stress and chromosomal instability, which leads to a tumor cell-autonomous and stimulator of interferon genes (STING)-dependent cytosolic DNA response that activates downstream non-canonical nuclear factor kappa light chain enhancer of activated B cell (NC-NF-κB) signaling. Furthermore, our results demonstrate that GOF mutp53-activated tumor cell-intrinsic STING-NC-NF-κB signaling not only stimulates tumor cell metastasis, but also promotes tumor immune resistance through fostering an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Therefore, our findings that mutp53 exerts its GOF role through pro-tumorigenic MCM5-CIN-STING-NC-NF-κB signaling highlight the importance of TP53 and its inactivation in cancer genome evolution of genomic instability that drives tumor development and progression. GGE biplot methodology is a powerful tool to study relationship among test environments (E), genotypes (G) and genotype-by-environment interaction (GE). Present study was conducted on 10 short-duration genotypes in five test environments for two years, and 16 medium-duration genotypes in six test locations for three years in randomized complete block design with two replications. In short-maturity group three mega-environments (ME) were found—ME1 comprised of Phaltan, Patancheru and Hyderabad1; ME2 and 3 constituted Jalna and Aurangabad, respectively. In scenario of limited resources, Patancheru may be a good testing location for general adaptability of short-duration hybrids, while Aurangabad and Hyderabad1 may be right environments for testing specific adaptation of short-duration cultivars in pigeonpea. ICPH 2433 was a winning genotype in ME1 in terms of high yield and stability. In medium-maturity group, two MEs were observed. Jalna, Jalna 1, Parbhani and Hyderabad grouped together as ME1, while Patancheru and Phaltan formed the second mega-environment (ME2). Parbhani was found to be most representative of all the six test locations. Jalna (ME1) and Phaltan (ME2) produced longest environment vectors, and hence may be regarded as highly discriminating. In medium- maturity group ICPH 2673 was found to be stable and high-yielding genotype for ME1.

Abstract DNA methylation involvement in the regulation of mammary gland inflammatory defense against pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus(SA) has been documented. However, the mechanisms are not clear. The possible influence of DNA methylation of first introns (DNA-MeFI) on transcriptional activities during subclinical mastitis was studied by profiling the methylome (whole genome methylation sequencing) and transcriptome (RNA-sequencing) of milk somatic cells from cows(n=15) with SA subclinical mastitis (SACs) and healthy cows (HCs)(n=13), followed by bioinformatics processing with standard tools. The DNA-MeFI was calculated, for each of 19411 genes found as expressed in the samples, by averaging the methylation levels of all CpG sites in the first intron. At genome-wide, the DNA-MeFIs was inversely correlated with gene expression (GE) (Pearson’s r=-0.173, p=1.60×10-122)(Figure 1-A). Similarly, the difference in the DNA-MeFI and GE between SACs and HCs was also inversely correlated (Pearson’s r=-0.149, p=4.25×10-97)(Figure 1-B). Application of machine learning by Gaussian Mixed model (GMM) using scikit-learn in python to the changes of DNA-MeFI and GE between SACs and HCs revealed 2866 outliers (GMM’s p< 0.005) that showed significant changes in the DNA-MeFI and/or GE. 644 genes with >10% difference in DNA-MeFI and |log2FC| >1 in GE were selected and referred to as differentially methylated and expressed genes (DME-genes). 644 DME-genes were significantly enriched in 5 GO terms and 11 KEGG pathways related to diseases and immune functions, including Staphylococcus aureus infection and Natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity (Table 1). Furthermore, 74.84% DME-genes showed inverse changes in DNA-MeFI and GE. Besides, the DNA-MeFI of 264 DME-genes were found to correlate significantly with their GE (|rho| >0.3, FDR<0.05), including 225 DME-genes(85.23%) with inverse correlations(rho< -0.3, FDR< 0.05). 39 DME-genes with positive correlations were significantly enriched in 21 GO terms mainly related to metabolic processes. In conclusion, the DNA-MeFI possibly participate in the regulation of gene expression during bovine subclinical mastitis caused by SA.

This study presents the measured densities and viscosities of three ternary aqueous mixtures of tertiary and primary amines. The tertiary amines of n-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), dimethylethanolamine (DMEA), diethylethanolamine (DEEA), and the primary amine monoethanolamine (MEA) at different concentrations (mass%) were mixed to prepare the liquid mixtures. The excess molar volume VE of the mixtures was analyzed using measured densities to acquire a better understanding of the molecular packing and intermolecular interactions in the mixtures. The excess free energy of activation ∆GE* and excess entropy of activation ∆SE* for viscous flow were determined from the measured viscosities by implementing the theory of rate processes of Eyring. Correlations based on the Redlich–Kister type polynomial were adopted to correlate the excess properties VE and ∆GE* as a function of the amine mole fraction and temperature. The results showed that the correlations were able to represent the measured data with satisfactory accuracies for engineering calculations.

Caseundervisning används inom både svensk och internationell högskoleutbildning. Caseundervisning ger studenterna möjlighet att tillämpa sina kunskaper på verkliga fall vilket förbättrar deras förståelse av kursens teoretiska innehåll. Syftet med denna artikel är att närmare studera den skriftliga caseanalysen, s.k. caserapporten, inom ämnet företagsekonomi. Fokus ligger på lärarens arbete med att bedöma analysen och ge studenter återkoppling på sin text. Det empiriska material som granskningen inkluderar är lärandemål, kurslitteratur, case samt studenternas caserapporter som ingick i en kandidatnivåkurs vid Malmö högskola vårterminen 2013. Analysen visar att universitetsläraren kan arbeta strukturerat utifrån en modell med flera komplexitetsnivåer för att skapa en tydligare återkoppling till studenterna. Resultatet av studien kan i en vidare kontext användas för att ge återkoppling på projektarbeten och examensarbeten i vilka läraren också bedömer kvaliteten på studenters analysarbete.

En uppföljning av olika satsningar och projekt efter att de avslutats skulle kunna ge intressant kunskap som komplettering till tidigare studier, ”vad händer sedan?”. Kan kommunerna rikta sitt intresse mot detta och kanske utnyttja de bland skolans personal som har olika former av vetenskaplig skolning (lektorer, förstelärare m fl) med tanke på det intresse som finns kring praktiknära forskning (gärna i samarbete med parter inom universiteten). Och ett sådant arbete skulle också kunna ge tankar kring hur vi utvecklar arbetet med lärares kompetensutveckling och lärande.

Baggrunden er, at Allchin med gl.de har noteret den stigende internationale interesse for Grundtvig. Allerede ved fejringen af 200- årsdagen i 1983 var der talrige vidnesbyrd om voksende interesse for Grundtvig ude i den store verden. Det var dog påfaldende, at ud af de 12 foredrag, der blev holdt ved jubilæumskonferencen dengang, handlede de 11 om skoletankerne, mens kun et enkelt drejede sig om kristendomssynet [ved A. M. Allchin, red.].Siden da har der været stadigt flere udtryk for stigende interesse for alle sider af Grundtvigs tanker, hvilket også er fremg.et af de seneste års udgaver af denne årbog. Blandt disse bidrag har en del været fra Asien, ikke mindst Indien.I lyset af disse opmuntrende tendenser går Allchin opmærksom på det bemærkelsesværdige ved netop det bidrag, som den kinesiske teolog Wen Ge i år har indleveret. Objective:Determine how characteristics of deployment mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) and blast exposure influence the relationship between the functional brain connectome with cognitive outcomes and symptom severity.Participants and Methods:N = 181 Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans completed structured clinical interviews, cognitive testing, self-report questionnaires, and magnetoencephalography (MEG). MEG data were acquired in the resting-state with eyes open. MEG data were beamformed to identify brain regions active at rest. Functional brain connectomes representing the unique network present for a given individual were created using active brain regions identified for each participant. Network metrics describing these connectomes were calculated at the participant level. Cognitive tests included the WAIS-IV, Trail Making Test Parts A&B, and the Controlled Oral Word Association test. Due to differences in normative data across tests, raw scores were used in analyses. Symptom measures included the PTSD Checklist - 5 (PCL-5), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Neurobehavioral Symptoms Inventory (NSI), Quality of Life After Brain Injury (QOLIBRI), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PsQi), the Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS), and the PROMIS Pain Interference Scale (PROMIS-PI).Results:Hierarchical linear regression analyses revealed that several network metrics were significantly related to both cognitive outcomes and symptom severity after adjusting for demographic covariates and clinical characteristics.The relationship between Global Efficiency (GE) and cognitive outcomes was moderated by deployment TBI on the WAIS-IV Full Scale Index (FSI), Perceptual Reasoning Index (PRI), and General Ability Index (GAI). In all cases, when deployment TBI was absent, greater GE was associated with poorer cognitive scores. The relationship between GE and symptom severity was moderated by the severity of blast exposure. Greater GE was associated with lower symptom severity at lower blast severities for the PHQ-9 and QOLIBRI A (thinking) and E (negative emotions). Moderation effects were also observed for the PSQI. In the absence of deployment TBI, greater GE was associated with better sleep quality; however, in the presence of deployment TBI, greater GE was associated with poorer sleep quality. Other connectome-outcome relationships were not consistently moderated by Deployment TBI or blast historyConclusions:Results demonstrated relationships between several aspects the functional connectome of the brain with both cognitive outcomes and symptom severity beyond effects of common demographic and clinical variables. Moderation analyses revealed that the relationship between GE of the connectome and outcomes is frequently disrupted by deployment TBI and blast. GE is a measure of the ease of information transfer through the network. These results identified consistent relationships between GE and outcomes in the absence of deployment TBI or blast, but these relationships disappear when deployment TBI or blast are present. Participants in this study were on average 11 years post-TBI or blast exposure, suggesting these are chronic rather than acute effects. GE was significantly correlated with most symptom severity measures as well as the WAIS-IV PRI, GAI, VCI, and FSI. Future efforts to normalize the relationship between GE and outcomes following TBI may improve rehabilitation outcomes and directly affect areas of concern commonly reported by service members following TBI or blast exposure.

I det systematiserade arbetet med att följa upp hjälpbehov för personer med alkohol- eller narkotikaproblem har Addiction Severity Index uppföljningsintervju (ASI U) en central funktion. I den här deskriptiva tvärsnittsstudien undersöker vi närmare hur demografiska, yrkesrelaterade och organisatoriska faktorer är relaterade till yrkesverksamma socionomers benägenhet att arbeta med ASI uppföljning. Studien omfattar 135 yrkesverksamma socionomer som arbetar med att utreda och följa upp hjälpbehov för personer med skadligt bruk eller beroende av alkohol eller narkotika. Bristande kompetens framträder som förenat med en lägre sannolikhet att arbeta med ASU uppföljning. För att öka medarbetares benägenhet att arbeta med ASU U bör chefer och andra personer i arbetsledande position ge medarbetare reella förutsättningar till fortbildning och vidareutbildning.

Kraven på evidensbaserad utbildning har drivit fram en rad initiativ som avser att minska det förmodade gapet mellan forskning, politik och praktik. Bland dessa initiativ finns etableringen av särskilda organisationer—så kallade mäklarorganisationer—med uppgift att syntetisera resultaten av utbildningsvetenskaplig forskning. I Sverige har Skolforskningsinstitutet inrättats för att genomföra systematiska översikter inom skolans och förskolans område. Skolforskningsinstitutet ska ge lärare bättre förutsättningar att undervisa med stöd av vetenskapligt underbyggda metoder och arbetssätt. Kritiker hävdar dock att mäklarorganisationer överlag prioriterar aggregativa översikter för att utvärdera effekterna av interventioner och att denna inriktning är mindre passande för komplexa områden som utbildning. I ljuset av Skolforskningsinstitutets uppdrag och den kritik som riktats mot systematiska översikter argumenterar jag i denna artikel för att institutets verksamhet bör inbegripa konfigurativa översikter. Konfigurativa översikter skulle ge Skolforskningsinstitutet bättre möjligheter att genomföra sitt uppdrag, framförallt eftersom konfigurativa format kan utarbetas för att: (1) understödja omdömen om vad som är utbildningsmässigt önskvärt; (2) inkludera studier från praktikutvecklande ansatser; samt (3) förmedla kunskap med potential att spela en kritisk roll i undervisningen.

The article analysis major changes in preparation of museums’ educational programs. Such programs’ attractiveness from educational perspective, not only in terms of presenting new way of knowledge, but also as one of the way how to acquire, to learn and to use that knowledge in practical way. Educational sessions are seeking to help schoolchildren to learn in a better way, to remember particular information and strengthen it by completing practical tasks. The purposes of education are: a) to stimulate cultural, cognitive, artistic and other activities; b) to understand, remember and grasp the mea ning of the given information; c) to strengthen the newly acquainted information by completing practical tasks; d) inspirational aspect of given information; e) understanding of process and it’s phenomenon, correlation with the obtained information; f) ones’ interdisciplinary aspect. Educational programs are being modified depending on visitors’ given feedback and ones needs. The article consists of several parts. The first part analysis the spread of educational programs in museums throughout Lithuania’s municipalities. The second part analysis the spread of educational programs in museums depending on a particular educational area. The third part analysis museums’ educational programs’ need and availability in the period of 2008–2014.

For nogle år siden gennemførte han et studieophold i Danmark og studerede bl.a. Grundtvig under vejledning af Hans Raun Iversen ved Det Teologiske Fakultet, Københavns Universitet.]For Grundtvig var det en hovedsag, at eskatologien igen fik sin rette plads i den teologiske tænkning, efter at rationalistiske teologer i samtiden havde trængt den i baggrunden. Det drejer sig om den plads, hvorfra vi bliver i stand til at forstå hans syn på skaberværket i universalhistorisk perspektiv. Denne bestræbelse er ifølge den kinesiske teolog Wen Ge særdeles central for nutidig teologi, hvilket han søger at anskueliggøre ved at sætte Grundtvig i forhold til moderne teologer som Wolfart Pannenberg og Jorgen Moltmann, samtidig med at han diskuterer relevansen i relation til kinesisk forståelse af skabelse og genlæsning. Grundtvigs eskatologi var hverken individualistisk eller futuristisk. Den adskilte ikke mennesker fra andre levende væsener i verden, ligesom den ikke blev anskuet i blot hinsidig betydning, alene rettet mod Guds indgriben ved historiens ende, men var tavs om livet her og nu.Med dette udgangspunkt betegner Wen Ge Grundtvigs syn på gudsriget og eskatologien som “sækulariserende”. Grundtvig bekræfter fuldt ud den verden, som er vores, idet han forbinder den med Guds fortsatte handlen som skaber. Et af Grundtvigs væsentlige bidrag, også for teologien i dag, ligger netop i betoningen af denne mulighed for at opnå “venlig vekselvirkning” mellem kristendom og moderne, verdslig kultur. Grundtvigs positive syn på den skabte natur er grundlag for den inklusivt tolkede frelse, det vil sige det åbenbaringsord, der bringer bud fra himlen og samtidig omfatter denne jord. I kraft af enheden mellem skabelse og genlæsning kan alle i troens lys hvile i et håb om ved tidernes ende at være i fællesskab med den treenige Gud.

Abduktion beskriver Peirce som en process som uppstår då forskaren möter något som förbryllar i ett empiriskt material och som efter viss tankemöda bidrar till att nya idéer uppkommer som går att undersöka vidare. Trots Peirces omfattande publikationer som behandlar denna process är han ytterst sparsam kring att ge metodologiska råd hur förflyttningen från något som förbryllar till nya insikter går till. Peirces begrepp habituation kan ge en viss vägledning, vilket enligt Peirce avser att forskaren behöver ha en beredskap att tänka på nya sätt, det vill säga en förmåga att ständigt lära för att kunna utveckla nya tankemönster där inspiration kan erhållas från en variation av material och personer. I denna artikel presenteras perspektivskifte som en metod vilken kan hjälpa forskaren med förflyttningen från begränsande till nya tankemönster. Metoden innebär initialt att forskaren stannar upp vid utsagorna och reflekterar över det egna perspektivet, egentligen de egna tankemönstren formade utav tidigare erfarenheter. Den egna förståelsen ställs sedan i förhållande till det perspektiv från vilket intervjupersonen talar, vilket även det är format utav tidigare erfarenheter. Tillämpandet av metoden illusteraras utifrån ett etnografiskt intervjumaterial med äldre manliga närpoliser som berättar om den nya organisatoriska praktik som uppstod i och med närpolisreformen.

Abstract Background: Currently, the commonly used and active agents such as proteasome inhibitors (PIs), immunomodulator (IMiDs), and CD38 antibody have significantly improved the prognosis of multiple myeloma (MM). However, MM is still considered incurable, and almost all MM patients eventually experience relapse. Relapsed/refractory MM (rrMM) remains a disease with an unmet need for additional therapeutic options, especially drugs with a novel mechanism of action. CD73 is a cell surface enzyme which is highly expressed in the tumor microenvironment. CD73, in concert with CD39, converts ATP to adenosine, which promotes the onset and progression of cancer via inhibiting T cells, NK cells, and DCs, inducing immunosuppressive cell types and enhancing their functions (Gao et al., 2014). Indeed, elevated levels of adenosine have been observed in various cancers, including MM (Ray A et al., 2022). ATG-037 is a highly potent and selective oral small molecule inhibitor of CD73. In this study, we evaluated the potential of ATG-037 in treating multiple myeloma. Methods: The inhibition of enzyme function of recombinant and cell surface CD73 was evaluated by measuring the concentration of inorganic phosphate using Malachite Green. Reversal of AMP/adenosine-mediated human T cell suppression by CD73 inhibitors was determined in the presence of exogenous AMP. The in vivo efficacy was assessed in syngeneic myeloma models, J558 and MCP-11. The murine myeloma cells were implanted subcutaneously into BALB/c mice, and ATG-037 (100 mg/kg) or vehicle was orally administered BID starting day one post-implantation. Results: ATG-037 demonstrated complete inhibition of CD73 activity without “hook effect”, whereas MEDI9447, a CD73 antibody, did not reach 100% inhibition and with reduced inhibition of CD73 activity at higher antibody concentrations. T cell proliferation and activation induced by CD3/CD28 activator were suppressed by extracellular 20 μM or 100 μM AMP, and the suppression was relieved by the addition of ATG-037. Furthermore, compared to the vehicle control, ATG-037 at 100 mg/kg exhibited significant tumor growth inhibition with a tumor growth inhibition (TGI) value of 30.88% on Day 16 after implantation in J558 model. ATG-037 (100 mg/kg) also demonstrated significant in vivo anti-tumor efficacy against MCP-11 myeloma compared with the vehicle control group, with a TGI value of 24.27% on Day 17 after implantation. ATG-037 treatment was well tolerated, with no significant body weight loss or severe adverse effects observed in both models. Conclusion: ATG-037 demonstrated potent and complete CD73 enzyme inhibition without “hook effect”, restoring T cell functions from AMP-mediated suppression. And this is the first report that a CD73 inhibitor demonstrates in vivo efficacy in myeloma animal models. The single agent anti-myeloma efficacy of ATG-037 warrants further clinical investigation. Introduction: Evaluating the suitability for surgery in patients with epilepsy requires determining if the epilepsy is focal or generalized. Presurgical workups can indicate focal epilepsy in certain cases of generalized epilepsy (GE). The purpose of this study was to identify distinctive features which characterize patients with primary GE that mimics focal epilepsy. Method: We retrospectively identified 19 children with generalized interictal discharges during scalp video-EEG (SVEEG) and underwent invasive monitoring and/or epilepsy surgery. Two children did not undergo resective surgery due to final diagnosis of primary GE (Group A). Seventeen children underwent a resective surgery (Group B). Scalp video-EEG, MEG, MRI, and intracranial video EEG (IVEEG) were reviewed. Results: On (SVEEG), the frequency of generalized spike-and-waves (GSW) was 3Hz in Group A and 1.5-2.5Hz in Group B. Group A had only absence seizures , whereas 80% in Group B had multiple types of seizures. Both groups had lateralized MEG dipoles. One patient in Group A had a focal MRI abnormality. In Group A, IVEEG showed GSW of 3 Hz frequency with inconsistent leading. In Group B, IVEEG showed consistent localization of ictal and interictal high frequency oscillations. Conclusion: Children with generalized 3 Hz spike-and-waves and only absence seizures may be a contraindication of resective surgery even though some presurgical workup shows focality.

Syftet är att ge en inblick i hur flickor som inte deltar i organiserad idrott resonerar om fysisk aktivitet. Studien designades med fokusgrupper bland 18 flickor i åldrarna 9-12 år, 8 av dem följdes också upp tre år senare. I intervjuerna användes fotografier tagna av flickorna själva för att stimulera till erfarenhetsutbyte. Resultaten ger inblick i hur olika strukturella skillnader upplevs, hanteras och påverkar flickornas fysiska aktivitet. Flickorna är väl medvetna om samhällets förväntningar, men bland de som inte började tidigt med idrott blir det svårare ju äldre de blir. Det saknas fungerande utlopp för fysisk aktivitet efter barnaårens lekande. Varken skolans idrott, det egna promenerandet med kompisar eller olika mer tillfälliga aktiviteter med familjen räcker för att nå de högt satta målen för fysisk aktivitet.

Trots att riskbedömning av klientens tillstånd är ett kvalificerat arbete som kräver svåra överväganden har utbildning om riskbedömning samt professionellt stöd för socialtjänstens handläggare många gånger saknats. I den här artikeln presenterar vi forskningsresultat från testning och utvärdering av en webbaserad stödfunktion för riskbedömning som kallas riskindikation (RI). RI är baserad på data från mer än 55,000 av socialtjänstens klienter med riskfylld eller svår substansanvändning och ger handläggare inom socialtjänsten kunskap om hur hög risknivå klienten har inom områdena alkohol, narkotika, familj, psykisk hälsa, fysisk hälsa och kriminalitet jämfört med alla andra klienter av de 55,000 klienter som finns i databasen.

Ekonomutbildningar finns idag vid i stort sett samtliga svenska universitet och högskolor och företagsekonomi är det enskilt största ämnet sett till antal studenter i landet. Innehållet i utbildningarna är i stor utsträckning normativt och likriktningen när det gäller struktur och innehåll är påfallande. Företagsekonomens arbete består i att ta fram beslutsunderlag och fatta rationella beslut i frågor som rör nyttjandet av begränsade resurser i företag och organisationer. Tillämpningen av kalkylmetoder och rationella beslutsmodeller spelar en central roll. Studenterna ska genom högre utbildning förvisso lära sig att bli yrkesmänniskor, men de måste även ges möjlighet att utveckla sitt omdöme och kunna se konsekvenser av sitt handlande bortom systematiska metoder och modeller. För utveckling av det egna omdömet måste utbildning också ge möjlighet till bildning. Baserat på erfarenheter både som lärare på högskolan och från andra yrkesroller med ekonomianknytning, menar vi att vi inom ämnet företagsekonomi inte bara har ett utbildningsansvar, utan även ett ansvar för att ge studenterna en bra grund för deras bildningsprocess. Studenterna bör få en utbildning som även ger dem en grundläggande förståelse för andra ämnesområden som bidrar till att kunna sätta in frågor av ekonomisk karaktär i en vidare kontext. Med detta menar vi att utbildningen bör ge studenten förutsättningar för att kritiskt kunna reflektera över sin framtida roll i olika positioner i företag och organisationer i en snabbt föränderlig omvärld där utmaningarna är stora. Texten reflekterar kring varför bildning bör ges ett större utrymme och ger förslag på hur bildningsperspektivet kan integreras och implementeras i företagsekonomutbildningen.

Aim: Several studies have demonstrated that factors including diabetes, including insulin resistance (IR), glucose effectiveness (GE), and the first and second phase of insulin secretion (FPIS, SPIS) could easily be calculated using basic characteristics and biochemistry profiles. Aging is accompanied by deteriorations of insulin resistance (IR) and insulin secretion. However, little is known about the roles of aging in the different phases of insulin secretion (ISEC), i.e., the first and second phase of insulin secretion (FPIS, SPIS), and glucose effectiveness (GE). Methods: In total, 169 individuals (43 men and 126 women) recruited from the data bank of the Meei-Jaw (MJ) Health Screening Center and Cardinal Tien Hospital Data Access Center between 1999 and 2008, with a similar fasting plasma glucose (FPG: 90 mg/dL) and BMI (men: 23 kg/m2, women 22 kg/m2) were enrolled. The IR, FPIS, SPIS, and GE were estimated using our previously developed equations shown below. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to assess the correlations between age and four diabetes factors (DFs: IR, FPIS, SPIS, and GE). The equations that are used to calculate the DF in the present study were built and published by our group. Results: The age of the participants ranged from 18 to 78 years. Men had higher FPIS but lower HDL-C levels than women (2.067 ± 0.159, 1.950 ± 0.186 μU/min and 1.130 ± 0.306, 1.348 ± 0.357 mmol/dl, accordingly). The results of the Pearson correlation revealed that age was negatively related to the IR and GE in both genders (IR: r = −0.39, p < 0.001 for men, r = −0.24, p < 0.003 for women; GE: r = 0.66, p < 0.001 for men, r = 0.78, p < 0.001 for women). At the same time, the FPIS was also only found to be negatively correlated with age in females (r = −0.238, p = 0.003), but there was no difference in the SPIS and age among both genders. Conclusions: We have found that in Chinese subjects with a normal FPG level (90 mg/dL) and body mass index (men: 23 kg/m2, women: 22: kg/m2), age is negatively related to the IR and GE among both genders. Only the FPIS was found to be negatively related to age in women. The tightness of their relationships, from the highest to the lowest, are GE, FPIS, and IR. These results should be interpreted with caution because of the small sample size.

Nu växer forskningsfältet environmental humanities. Mänsklighetens stora utmaningar när det gäller miljön kan inte lösas enbart med naturvetenskap och teknik. Humanistiska och kommunikativa perspektiv har visat sig fruktbara för förståelsen av varför människor väljer som de gör och vilka förutsättningar som krävs för förändring. Förvånansvärt lite retorikforskning handlar dock om hållbarhetsfrågor trots att retoriska begreppsapparater och synsätt har potential att ge viktiga bidrag. Den här översiktsartikeln handlar om vad fältet hållbarhetsretorik skulle kunna vara och bidra med. Den sammanfattar fältets historik, kartlägger forskningsfronten och lyfter fram tre exempel på särskilt intressanta teman. Dessutom diskuterar den ett förhållningssätt till relationen mellan forskning, utbildning och medborgarskap.

Forskningen och det professionella fältet har i flera årtionden haft en pessimistisk syn på trauma och migration. På grund av detta har fokus legat på (1) individen skild från sin kontext och (2) en pessimistisk syn på trauma och trauma återhämtning, med utgångspunkt i den traditionella medicinska tillgången. Meningen med den här artikeln är att illuminera de konsekvenser som detta haft på mental hälsa hos migranter. För att ge en ram till denna diskussion kommer en presentation av dagens universiella situation inom migrations området och forskningen inom detta fält göras. För att sedan gå mer in på djupet med detta problem område kommer de professionellas och forskares roll inom fältet diskuteras. Avslutningsvis kommer förslag dels ges på hur vi skulle kunna utveckla en ny tillgång och dels på hur vidare forskning skulle kunna utföras.
