Abstract:
In order to help banks formulate Credit Strategies for small, medium-sized and micro enterprises, this paper analyzes enterprises from two aspects. On the one hand, starting from the enterprise's data and from the enterprise's relevant data, including qualitative indicators such as reputation level, invoice information, credit record and operating income, a model is established to quantitatively analyze the operation status and reputation status of the enterprise. On the other hand, through the analysis of the "maximum lending rate" and "maximum lending rate" of the bank, we can analyze the "maximum lending rate" and "how much lending rate" of the bank. Combining the above variables, we can get the best credit strategy of the bank under the factors of credit risk and income. Firstly, without considering the influence of other data, this paper abstracts five indicators to measure the reputation status and enterprise-scale from the data of small and medium-sized enterprises with credit rating, quantifies the indicators. At the same time, the Euclidean distance is calculated by MATLAB modeling, the correlation between lending enterprises and non-lending enterprises is analyzed, and the high-risk enterprises in lending enterprises are selected. Then, among the remaining enterprises that can issue loans, five different credit strategies are formulated according to the weighting of their credit rating and enterprise scale as the primary basis for the number of bank loans and interest rate. Secondly, the focus is on how to comprehensively quantify the credit status and business problems of small, medium-sized and micro enterprises without credit records. Without considering the influence of other data, this paper mainly analyzes the correlation between the enterprises without credit records and the enterprises mentioned above that do not grant loans. It preliminarily obtains the enterprises that can grant loans. Then, through decision tree modeling, the loan demand of enterprises with different credit levels is estimated as a variable. By fitting the curve between interest rate and customer churn rate, different interest rate ranges under different levels are obtained as the second variable. Finally, through the above two variables, we establish the profit function of bank credit, find the corresponding variables at the maximum value, and formulate relevant credit strategies.

In this paper, we select eight indicators from the aspects of an enterprise’s bill transaction information, namely, whether the enterprise’s loan is in breach of contract, effective invoice rate, total utilization rate of price and tax, negative invoice rate, strength of enterprise, coefficient of variation, flow efficiency of assets, and influence of upstream and downstream enterprises; then, we construct an evaluation index system. According to different industries, different categories, and the impact of random factors, we divide the types of enterprises into 10 categories. Then, we use three kinds of Poisson random numbers to carry out numerical simulation on the total price and tax of enterprises in different industries under the influence of COVID-19.

Abstract:
Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have become an important force in driving the country’s market economy in the 21st century. However, because of the following drawbacks: i.e. single enterprise capital chain, unstable economy, high risk, etc., banks will take many risks if they lend to MSMEs. Therefore, it is necessary to build a sound bank credit decision system to promote the development of MSMEs. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is employed to classify the importance level such as credit rating and enterprise strength are used as first-grade indexes, and six indicators in terms of total sales and total profits are used as the second-grade indexes. Then, the eigenvalue method is used to obtain the importance weights of each level of indicators, and the weights of each influencing factor at each level are then calculated to achieve a quantitative analysis of credit risk and rating of each enterprise’s credit risk. This paper combines the existing loan pricing and loan interest rates to give preferential interest rates and higher loan amounts to enterprises with excellent credit risk ratings, and to give certain risky interest rates and lower loan amounts to enterprises with medium credit risk ratings.Based on the model, a quantitative analysis of the credit risk of 302 non-credit record enterprises is carried out and the bank’ credit strategy is provided when the total annual credit is 100 million yuan. Finally, this paper comprehensively considers the impact of credit risk and unexpected factors (e.g., the COVID-19) on enterprises, and provides the bank’s credit adjustment strategy when the total annual credit is 100 million yuan.

Abstract:
Small and medium-sized enterprises play an important role in promoting social and economic growth, which is an important foundation for the development of China’s national economy. From the perspective of bank interests, this paper uses the invoice data of small and medium-sized enterprises to evaluate their credit risk and formulates corresponding bank credit strategies for these enterprises in different industries and properties. Firstly, the credit risk identification factor system is constructed by using feature engineering, and the quantitative model of enterprise credit risk is built based on back propagation (BP) neural network to predict the default probability of enterprises. On this basis, the k-prototypes clustering algorithm is used to classify enterprises. According to the default probability of each enterprise and the loss rate under different interest rates, a nonlinear programming model, with the maximum expected profit of banks as the goal, is constructed. The simulated annealing algorithm is used to obtain the optimal solution of the credit strategy.

With the rapid economic operation, intensified market competition, the enterprise’s requirement on the quality of accounting information is getting higher and higher. It is also a subject faced by enterprise that how to construct the accounting informationization scientifically, reasonably and efficiently to ensure that accounting information system is operated safely, effectively and in real-time. ERP represents a higher level among current accounting informationization. The implementation of ERP in medium and small enterprises has more advantages than that in large enterprises, if strategy properly, it will greatly improve the success rate for ERP implementation. Enterprises carried out ERP successfully should promote the establishment of decision support system and business intelligence system at proper time. Although the medium and small enterprises have a advantage ERP implementation, to implement ERP successfully, they need to have correct cognition on it, well solve the relationship between “top leader” and team building, make correct choice, construct ERP system in step with certain focal points according to their plan as well as persist in the training of entire staff and intensifying the job of enterprise data management. Abstract:
Implementing Total Quality Management in medium-scale enterprises is a process of initiating excellent quality practices enabling them to differentiate from competitors' practices. Like in many other countries, the medium enterprises in India are also taking various steps to delight their customers, in which, Total Quality Management (TQM) is one. The primary objective of this study is to pinpoint the problems that may hinder the process of smooth adoption of TQM in a medium-scale enterprise. Simultaneously, the study also highlights the ways through which prospects of adopting TQM in these enterprises can be enhanced. Significantly, the study resulted in highlighting the factors by which familiarity among management, staff, and employees about quality practices can be enhanced. The study also highlights the factors of TQM integration and measures of quality improvement, which can be helpful in enhancing the prospects of adopting TQM in these enterprises. However, the univariate analysis helped to conclude that TQM can be implemented in any type of medium enterprise irrespective of the type, sector, and functional orientation. However, because of their nature of operation, medium enterprises in public and private sectors require different type of measures for integrating TQM into their systems.

Abstract:
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) are enterprises with relatively small staff size and operation scale, which are important subjects for enhancing employment and scientific and technological innovation in China, as well as an important part of China's real economy, and play an irreplaceable role in promoting economic growth and social prosperity. This paper mainly provides research solutions to solve the credit decision problems of banks for MSMEs through quantitative analysis of credit risks of MSMEs, combined with the realistic basis for banks to pursue profit maximization and risk minimization. This paper selects some enterprise data as the research sample, pre-processes the original data, and then selects six indicators to quantify the risk: input invoice efficiency, output invoice efficiency, credit rating, total invoices, total price and tax, and average profit. Based on this, this paper uses AHP hierarchical analysis to calculate index weights of 0.0664, 0.115, 0.0755, 0.1067, 0.2899, and 0.3465, respectively, to weight the indicators of each enterprise to sum up the enterprise's reputation score. Then we derive the enterprise's compliance rate from the scores and build the optimal credit decision model accordingly. Finally, we use the greedy algorithm to solve for the final strategy.

Abstract:
In the period of 2010-2017, the number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of Vietnam tended to be increased, accounting for about 98% of the total number of Vietnamese enterprises by the end of December 2017. Vietnam's SMEs are mainly private enterprises operating in the field of commerce and services as well as industry and construction, mostly concentrated in the Southeast and the Red River Delta. In the research period, micro enterprises had experienced a sharp increase in the loss rate, making the loss rate of the whole enterprise soar. In addition, SMEs were increasingly dependent on loans and especially small businesses had less access to bank loans as well as deferred purchase. However, Fixed-charge coverage ratio of SMEs had been improved and the gap between large enterprises and small enterprises had been narrowed.

Abstract:
This paper presents the results of a survey-based study, which involved 120 small and medium sized enterprises in the East Midlands region of the UK, and aims to explore small and medium sized enterprises environmental practices, environmental capabilities and awareness of the regional support for green growth. Environmental capabilities of small and medium sized enterprises are found to be bound to energy efficiency projects, with very few small and medium sized enterprises having a strategic outlook toward developing these capabilities. The majority of small and medium sized enterprises did not access governmental grants to improve energy efficiency, and those who did accessed governmental rather than NGO or private sources. Around a third of small and medium sized enterprises did not invest in any form of Environmental Management System or Environmental Management Accreditation over the last two years. Environmental capabilities, which are considered to have a direct positive impact on cost reduction, are found to be attracting the highest demand from small and medium sized enterprises. The study offers a typology of small and medium sized enterprises environmental capabilities providing a valuable conceptual development in understanding the links between various environmental capabilities and their significance for the strategic success of an enterprise.

Abstract:
With the improvement of environmental policies and industry requirements for enterprise production and management, small- and medium-sized enterprises in environment-related industries were also changing. It was known from the existing research that the investment allocation of assets of small- and medium-sized enterprises was closely related to risk and return, and the leverage ratio of enterprises affected the risk-taking level of enterprises. In the process of sustainable development, enterprises will inevitably bear certain risks, but excessive risk-taking will bring all kinds of uncertainty and bankruptcy risk to the expected income and future cash flow of enterprises. Therefore, taking small- and medium-sized enterprises in environment-related industries as an example, this paper put forward relevant assumptions by analyzing the interaction between the existing enterprise financial asset allocation, risk-taking level and leverage ratio. In order to facilitate empirical analysis, A-share listed companies in environment-related industries in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges, small- and medium-sized board and GEM listed companies in Shenzhen stock exchange from 2007 to 2019 were selected as research samples. These data came from the information open platform for small- and medium-sized enterprises in environment-related industries, the research reports of third-party consulting companies and CSMAR and Wind databases. The empirical results showed that the allocation of financial assets had a significant impact on the level of risk-taking, and there was a U-shaped relationship between them when other conditions remained unchanged. At the same time, the financial asset allocation of small- and medium-sized enterprises in Chinese environment-related industries had a significant impact on the enterprise leverage ratio. Under other conditions unchanged, there was a U-shaped relationship between the two. In addition, leverage played an intermediary role in the relationship between financial asset allocation and risk-taking level. In addition to directly affecting the allocation of financial assets, it can also indirectly affect the risk-taking level of enterprises through leverage ratio.

Abstract:
In an enterprise, collaborative working schemes are obtained only by adopting a suitable organization of the enterprise functions. At the informative level collaboration can be enabled by using suitable project management tools for the exchange of information that is the basis of collaboration. One of these tools is Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). On the basis of an exhaustive analysis of the PLM impact on the different aspects of the enterprise, the paper proposes an original methodology to evaluate the possibility of using PLM as framework in which exploit collaboration links within the enterprise. The methodology is not founded on the formal declared organization but on the actual data flows that are induced by the relations among the documents used to develop a project. Data are collected on the field using questionnaires. The links are made explicit by applying the hierarchical clustering with single linkage agglomerative technique. The attitude to the implementation of PLM is then analysed with respect to the organization and to the informative system. Such methodology is general and can be profitably applied to assist the PLM implementation in the enterprises.

Abstract:
In his 2006 State of the Nation Address, President Thabo Mbeki indicated that the regulatory environment for small businesses would be improved, as this sector plays an important role in the national strategy for accelerated and shared growth. The aim of this study is to determine whether the size of an enterprise and the sector in which the enterprise operates has an impact on how the enterprise’s tax responsibilities are administered and managed. A survey was conducted amongst small and medium enterprises in the manufacturing, retail and business services sectors in Gauteng. The study focused on Gauteng because the majority of small, medium and microenterprises (SMMEs) are located in this province. The study found that most small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the business services sector outsource their tax responsibilities because they lack the time needed to manage these functions. It was also found that the size and type of organisation affects the role taxation inputs play in business decisions. The SMEs included in the survey preferred a reduction in interest and penalties charged as a taxation relief measure.

Small, Medium, and Micro enterprises (SMMEs) usually do not have adequate funds to acquire ICT infrastructure and often use cloud computing. In this paper, the authors discuss the implementation of virtual enterprises (VE) to enable SMMEs to respond quickly to customers’ demands and market opportunities. The virtual enterprise model is based on the ability to create temporary co-operations and realize the value of a short term business opportunity that the partners cannot fully capture on their own. The model of virtual enterprise is made possible through virtualisation technology, which is a building block of cloud computing. To achieve a common goal, enterprises integrate resources, organisational models, and process models. Through the virtual business operating environment offered by cloud computing, the SMMEs are able to increase productivity and gain competitive advantage due to the cost benefit incurred. In this paper, the authors propose a virtual enterprise enabled cloud enterprise architecture based on the concept of virtual enterprise at both business and technology levels. The business level comprises of organisational models, process models, skills, and competences whereas the technology level comprises of IT resources.

Abstract:
This article contains an exploratory study of micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) funded by venture capital in conditions of the Slovak Republic. Their features specifically the number of employees and the affiliation to the industry branch in compliance with technological or knowledge demandingness were investigated. For that purpose two scientific hypotheses were verified. Verification of hypotheses was performed by the exact tests on the research sample consisted of 61 venture capital funded SMEs in the Slovak Republic in the time period 2001–2006. According to affiliation of enterprises to the category of micro, small and medium sized enterprises in our research sample, our assumption that the micro and small sized enterprises are more venture capital driven than medium sized enterprises was confirmed. The results showed that the majority of venture capital funded SMEs are micro-enterprises representing 60.66% and small sized enterprises with a share of 27.87%. According to affiliation of enterprise to the industry branch in compliance with its technological or knowledge demandingness in our research sample, our assumption that venture capital is related especially to the enterprises in high-tech sector was not confirmed and we can conclude that venture capital is related more to the enterprises operating in low-tech or medium low-tech sector than to the enterprises operating in high-tech or medium high-tech sector. The share of enterprises in high-tech sector was the lowest (only 3.28%) among all the sectors (low-tech, medium low-tech, medium high-tech and high-tech).

Small to medium sized business enterprises are young and constantly changing their sphere of activities depending on fluctuations of the market. The enterprises daily use accounting information, which is used in enterprise’s financial situation evaluation, correct decisions making, enterprise’s financial situation analysis according to the results received, making plans for future and controlling the whole enterprise. Accounting information systems play a significant role in providing the financial information for decision making within an organization. Abstract:
The difficulty in accessing loans is one of the major barriers to the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. Low accessibility to capital forces SMEs to spend both official and unofficial costs in order to obtain loans, and/or to access the unofficial market at higher interest rates, thereby increasing cost of production of enterprises. Studies suggest that the determinants of bank loan processing through which small and medium enterprises can access official loans include: characteristics of enterprises; indicators, reflecting the performance of enterprises; characteristics of loans; characteristics of enterprises, enterprise owners; geographical position of enterprises; the creditworthiness of enterprises and the role of the network.Purpose of the study. The aim of this paper is the quantitative analysis of the factors, affecting accessibility to credit capital of small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.Materials and methods. This study was conducted on the basis of a survey in December 2017. The survey includes 301 enterprises in Hanoi city. Selected enterprises are also enterprises, surveyed in the annual enterprise survey by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam. This paper uses the Probit and Logit regression approach to estimate the impact of factors, affecting the disbursement probability of a loan of an enterprise. The number of SMEs accounts for 56.69% of the samples. The number of enterprises, applying for a bank loan accounts for 58.4% of the total samples, of which the percentage of disbursed loans for SMEs accounts for only 47.3%. For enterprises without a bank loan, eliminating the reasons for the lack of demand and unwish to be in debt, the main reasons not to access bank loans are high interest rates, complicated loan procedures and insufficient collateral.Results.The results obtained from the Logistic and Probit models show that the estimated coefficients are statistically significant, affecting the probability of taking a business loan, accepted by financial institutions. Although the coefficients, estimated from Logistics model are larger than those estimated from the Probit model, the estimated results show that the direction of impact of the variables in two estimation techniques gives quite similar results.Conclusion.Based on the results of this study, the Government of Vietnam should implement policies to support SMEs in the direction of improving their access to capital. The credit institutions should design products and services suitable to the characteristics of SMEs in Vietnam.

Abstract:
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to conduct a comparative analysis of knowledge management (KM) initiatives in small, medium, and large enterprises operating in Ukraine, and to highlight the specific characteristics of KM policies, as well as the scope and intensity of KM tools application in these categories. In particular, the study focused on the consistency between the awareness of knowledge/KM importance and KM policies, and the scope and intensity of the application of both human-centered tools and information communication technology (ICT) tools. METHODOLOGY: The concept of the study was developed on the basis of an integrative socio-technical perspective. The empirical data were obtained through a questionnaire survey among 90 managers of small, medium, and large Ukrainian enterprises and were analyzed statistically. FINDINGS: Both common and distinctive characteristics of these categories in terms of KM were highlighted. Although all enterprises, regardless of their size, showed a high awareness of knowledge/KM importance for their business, significant distinctions between small and large enterprises were found with regard to their KM policies, the scope of advanced KM tools application, and the intensity of some traditional and advanced KM tools application. In all cases, large enterprises showed higher levels of these characteristics compared to small enterprises, whereas medium enterprises were more similar to large enterprises. In contrast to the common view on SMEs as a homogeneous sector in terms of KM, the study shows its heterogeneity in terms of KM initiatives. According to a number of indicators studied, significant differences were observed between small and large enterprises, whereas the distinctions between medium and large enterprises were much less obvious. IMPLICATIONS FOR THEORY AND PRACTICE: The theoretical contribution of this study was the provision of SMEs sector heterogeneity evidence based on a number of KМ characteristics. This finding allows us to deepen our knowledge of conceptual differences in KM approaches, applied by different enterprise categories. From a practical perspective, an enterprise size should be taken into account while designing specific KM policies, programs and tools to meet enterprises’ needs to a greater extent. The larger the enterprise is, the more structured, deliberate, and conscious the KM approach that should be applied is. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: No empirical research that addresses the comparative analysis of KM initiatives in small, medium, and large enterprises operating in Ukraine, as well as in other transition economies of post-Soviet states, has been previously performed, and this study fills the gap.

Abstract:
In the economic market, small and medium-sized enterprises are the most solid, the most active and the largest entity for promoting economic development, stimulating the demand for innovation, improving people's lives and increasing employment. However, the problem of financing constraint is always the shackle that restricts the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. As a strong support for national development, the integration of the real economy and the financial supply side has been in constant friction. Efforts should be made to create a sound financing ecology, and further promote the solution of the financing difficulties of the real economy, especially for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. In reality, the shortage of operating capital is always the main factor restricting the improvement of enterprise operation performance. In view of this situation, supply chain finance is regarded as an effective way to solve the financing problems of small and medium-sized enterprises by the theoretical circle and the industrial circle. Supply chain finance, as a new financing solution, helps to optimize the allocation of resources and funds between the upstream and downstream organizations of the supply chain, and gradually becomes an important way to alleviate the shortage of operating funds for small and medium-sized enterprises. This paper systematically reviews the relationships among supply chain finance, supply chain integration, enterprise digital transformation and enterprise operation performance, and reviews the information asymmetry theory and transaction cost theory.
