Abstract:
Crimean Tatar’s history is that of agony, exile, sorrow, oppression and persecution, but it is also the history of Crimean Tatar nation’s national struggle. Crimean Tatars’ history has 5 stages: 1. Crimean Khanate Period (1441-1783), 2. Russian Domination: Invasion of Crimea (1783-1917), Crimea during Russian Revolution and Early Bolshevik Reign: Crimean Tatar Republic (1917-1918), 4. Exile Period (1944-1987), 5. Return to Homeland (1987 – up to the present), 6. Repeated annexation of Crimea by Russia (2014 – up to the present). The first three periods are presented in Crimean Tatar National Anthem. National anthems have a significant importance in the histories of nations, as they reflect the national identities. Crimean Tatar National Anthem has been sung and listened with high zest by the majority of the nation in different times and places. So what does it tell to us? What values does it advice us to maintain? What kind of targets does it point out? In order to give satisfactory answers for such questions, we will handle “Ant Etkenmen” in quartets, making use of past studies on History and Linguistics. The name of Crimean Tatar National Anthem is “Ant Etkenmen”, and it was written by Numan Çelebi Cihan, the first president of Crimean Tatar People’s Republic. In our study, important poems in the history of Crimean Tatars, mainly “Ant Etkenmen” (I Vowed) the national anthem of Crimean Tatars written in 1917 by Numan Çelebi Cihan, will be analysed in terms of vowing motif. Our study is based on the both the symbolic languge analysis and the aesthetic aspects of the national anthem in terms of its sound, words, harmony, the world of sense, dream and thought, its lyricism, meter, rhyme, rhtym, language and style. The first three quartets of the anthem focus on the agonies in the history of Crimean Tatars. In the analysis of the poem data received in the field of History will also be made use of.

Abstract:
This article provides archival information about Tatar girls who studied at Russian universities at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. It informs about the educational institutions they attended, admission to schools and the learning environment conditions. During that period, women received education mainly in St. Petersburg. Raziya Kutluyarova was the first among Tatar ladies to study at higher medical courses. It is also known that Amina Batyrshina studied at that school, who later became famous as a doctor and public figure in the city of Baku. In addition, young Tatar women studied specialties related to various sectors of the national economy – polytechnics, trade, literary history, and natural sciences. Higher courses open to women were financed by private donations and from students’ income. Therefore, not everyone could study there. It is known that in 1906–1918 twelve Tatar ladies studied at the Faculty of History and Philology of Kazan Higher Courses. The article also touches on the issue of social activities of Tatar girls who received higher education. Among the girls who completed the courses, there are those who continued to receive higher education and engage in science. One of them, Maryam Gubaidullina, studied at the Kazan North-Eastern Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, gave lectures on the topic “Ethnography of the Kazan Tatars.” As an appendix to the article, a list of Tatar ladies who studied at women's higher courses before the October Revolution is presented.

Abstract:
This study is undertaken to identify the similarities and differences of classification of homonyms in medical terminology of English, Russian and Tatar languages. In this paper a comparative method was used to identify the common and special in the compared languages. The basis of comparison in the medical terminology of genetically unrelated languages was established. In this study, the method of feature comparison was used, i.e. the phenomenon of homonymy was studied in a comparative aspect. The results of this study contribute to ordering the terms, the selection of the correct, appropriate term when translating medical texts from one language into another. The languages under the consideration have intra-terminological, inter-terminological, inter-system homonymy. Besides, there are homonymic relations between eponyms in all languages. In the medical terminology of the English language, the following groups of homonyms are found: absolute, incomplete, partial (homophones, homographs) homonyms. Incomplete homonyms are divided into lexical and lexical and grammatical, and partial homonyms are divided into lexical, lexical and grammatical, grammatical (homonyms-converse terms). Homophones, in turn, are classified into homophones and near homophones. Homonyms are classified into homonyms of a high degree of homonymity, homonyms of a medium degree of homonymity, homonyms of a low degree of homonymity in Russian medical terminology. In medical terminology of the Tatar language absolute and incomplete homonyms are distinguished. Incomplete homonyms include homoforms that belong to different parts of speech and homographs. Homographs are rare phenomenon in the medical terminology of the Tatar language. Separately, as a special group, homonyms-converse terms are considered. There are three types of functional shift relations in the Tatar language: syntactic, lexical and semantic, the most common of which is syntactic relation. The phenomenon of homonymy affects the Greek-Latin terminological elements, which are international. Comparative analysis of three languages in the matter of homonyms in medical terminology has shown that English and Tatar languages have more similarities than English and Russian ones and Russian and Tatar ones. The English medical terminology is more replete with homonymous acronyms than Russian and Tatar ones.

Abstract:
The article "The problem of euphemisms in the medical terminology of the English and Tatar languages" discusses issues related to euphemisms, in particular, the field organization of euphemisms in the medical terminology of the English and Tatar languages. The study uses a comparative analysis and the field organization of euphemisms in medical terminology is established to be the basis of comparison. Another method applied is the method of comparative interpretation and the principles of interpretation of the compared material of the two languages are determined. The results of this study make it possible to use the obtained theoretical outcomes and the collected lexical material in courses of general linguistics, lexicology and stylistics of the English and Tatar languages. In addition, the data obtained can be used in teaching professionally oriented English, for example in practical lessons of English language and while teaching translation practice to students of medical sciences. The lexical material obtained in the course of the research can supplement the existing dictionaries of euphemisms of medical terminology in the English language and form the basis of the dictionary of euphemisms of medical terminology in the Tatar language. Thus, one can observe the universal features of the field organization of euphemisms in English and Tatar languages for the first position of the first row, second, third and fifth rows. There are some differences in the rest of the ranks. Received: 20 August 2021 / Accepted: 18 November 2021 / Published: 3 January 2022

Abstract:
Objective of the investigation was to study the infection of ethnic Tatars with the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) and to analyze the genetic structure of the oncogene of the virus, the latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1), in the virus strains of Tatar origin. Materials and methods. The materials for the study were samples of boucle flushes of 60 students from the Kazan State Medical University who are ethnic Tatars (Tatars no less than in the 3rd generation). Amplified from DNA of boucle flushes the nucleotide sequences of the LMP1 samples translated into DNA amino acid sequences, have undergone classification based on the well-known and widely used in literature the R.H. Edwards et al. classification. Results. The analysis of nucleotide and deductive amino acid sequences of the 41 LMP1 amplicons revealed their homology with only three gene variants from the R.H. Edwards et al. classification (1999): 95.8/A (29.3 %; 12/41), Med– (14.6 %; 6/41) and China1 (7.3 %, 3/41). Such variants of LMP1 as Alaskan, Med+, Chinа2, China3 and NC, were not found. Among the LMP1 samples of Tatar origin in 20 cases (48.8 %), the composition of the mutations found did not allow them to be assigned to any of the oncogene variants listed above. Out of this number, in 7 (17.1 %) cases a mono group of LMP1 samples was found, differing not only from representatives of the Slavs, inhabitants of the European part of Russia, but also from other Kazan samples, and was designated as LMP1-TatK. The remaining 13 samples of LMP1 (31.7 %), not belonging to any of the known classifications, formed the group designated by us as an LMP1 group beside the classification (LMP1BC). Conclusion. Continuation of the study of the molecular-biological and functional properties of LMP1 in TatK and BC groups, which constitute 48.8 % of the number of gene samples studied, and an analysis of the peculiarities of the ethnic Tatar genotype, will probably help to clarify whether certain EBV strains influence morbidity and mortality in Tatar population with malignant neoplasms, which include EBVassociated cases.

Abstract:
After the fall of the Sunda Kingdom, the Tatar Pasundan region was divided into several independent districts. Changes began to occur when Sultan Agung began to expand his territory to the Tatar Sunda area in the 17th century. The expansion of the territory caused many districts in Tatar Sunda to establish patron-client relationships with Mataram. The Sajarah Cikundul Manuscript provides information that Cianjur is one of the areas in Priangan which served Mataram. This research was conducted to answer the problem of the existence of a patron-client relationship between Cianjur and Mataram based on the Sajarah Cikundul script. The purpose of this study is to find out the truth of the description of the patron-client relationship of Cianjur and Mataram based on the Sajarah Cikundul. The method used in order to answer this problem consists of data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Based on the studies that have been carried out, there are many anachronisms in Sajarah Cikundul in describing the story of building relations between Cianjur and Mataram. The description was ultimately interpreted as a pseudo-claim of Cianjur and related to the legitimate interests of the Cianjur rulers.

Abstract:
Background. One of the most important gene polymorphisms that may be responsible for the development of insulin resistance is the rs9939609 of the FTO gene. Aim. To investigate the association of the rs9939609 polymorphism of the FTO gene in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in the Yakut and Tatar populations. Materials and methods. The study involved patients with T2D from the population of the Yakut nationality of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Yakutsk (n=132) and the Tatar population – residents of the Republic of Tatarstan (n=134). Molecular genetic analysis was carried out on in the central research laboratory of the Department of molecular genetics (Kazan State Medical University) and in the laboratory of hereditary pathology of the Department of Molecular Genetics (Yakut Science Center of Complex Medical Problems). Statistical data processing was carried out using GraphPad InStat, Microsoft Excel 2007 programs. Results. The frequency of the AA genotype of the rs9939609 polymorphism of the FTO gene in the group of T2D in the Tatar population differed from the own control sample: 30.1% vs 14.1%; p=0.00000006, as well as from the European control group from the 1000GENOME database: 30.1% vs 19.9%; p=0.0006. The frequency of the risk allele in T2D group in the Yakut population was statistically significantly higher than in the East Asian control group from the 1000GENOME database (27.7% vs 16.9%; p=0.00007), in the own healthy control group no significant differences were found. Conclusion. The more the Asian component in the genome of the population, the less it is predisposed to obesity and T2D. The rs9939609 polymorphism of the FTO gene is associated with the risk of T2D in the Tatar population; no association in the Yakut population was found.

The paper describes the essence of the phenomenon of bilingualism, types of bilingualism, approaches to its quantitative assessment, as well as the results of an associative experiment aimed at determining the level of bilingualism of future teachers studying at Kazan Federal University on a bilingual basis using Russian and Tatar languages. The experiment involved 40 students – future mathematics teachers in the 2nd and 3rd years of study. The scientific novelty of the research lies in determining that the level of the academic component of bilingual communicative competence among future bilingual teachers is higher than the level of their general communicative competence. As a result, it was found that at this stage of the implementation of the multilingual education model at Kazan Federal University, most future subject teachers have formed the coordinate and the compound type of Tatar-Russian bilingualism both in the field of general communication and academic language in the sphere of mathematics on the topic “Function”.

Abstract:
The research is dedicated to the study of the vowel sounds in Crimean Tatar and Turkish languages. The article is relevant and modern. It is an object of interest of many philologists, teachers of Turkic languages, engaged in the training of Crimean Tatar and Turkish pronunciations. The study of a foreign language is always associated with the study of pronunciation, phonetic originality. Knowledge of phonetic phenomena and patterns of their functioning is a prerequisite for a better ability to form and express their thoughts in a foreign language. After all, with the incorrect use of sounds, the meaning of the word can change and, accordingly, there may be problems with communication. A comparative study of the vowels of the Crimean Tatar and Turkish languages is directly related to the development of effective methods of teaching people pronunciation. This study makes it possible to take into account the typological differences between the two languages. The study is based on the material of the literary norms of the modern middle version of the Crimean Tatar language and the Istanbul version of the Turkish language. The objectives of the study are to compare the systems of vowel phonemes of the Crimean Tatar and Turkish languages, their differences. One of the most important tasks is to contribute to the construction of a more effective method of learning the phonetic norms of the studied Turkic languages by consistently and as completely as possible fully identifying typologically similar and specific phenomena in the sound system of the compared languages. The scientific novelty of the work is that it considers modern literary norms of both languages, as well as indicates the specifics of the pronunciation of individual sounds. The reasons for the appearance of long vowels are indicated. The results of the article have theoretical significance, as they make a certain contribution to the typological study of languages, to the theory of language and to the development of relevant problems of phonology. Regarding the practical significance, the results of the work can be used both in subjects for language study and in special courses.

The article provides a concise description of a collection of texts in Arabic. The copy is preserved in the Ibragimov Institute of Language, Literature and Art of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, Kazan, Russian Federation. The copy originates from the Sterlibash district / Bashkortostan. The MS book comprises a collection of works on tajwid (recitation of the Holy Qur’an), Islamic creed and medicine. The aim of the publication is to introduce another hitherto unknown item, since the general descriptions available are far from being satisfactory. The item has entered the collection in 2017 under the shelfmark 7879 and assigned to the collection no. 39. The description offered provides titles of the work, their contents and authorship as well as the summary of the contents. The text in the MS was compared to the printed text of the same works (subject to availability). The cataloguer came to the conclusions as follows: the Tatars based their education on classical Islamic works in Arabic and Persian. The education was modelled after the system used in Central Asia. In the areas located remotely from the centres of education people also had a recourse to the texts, which comprised information, which was different from that from the “orthodox” writings. The Tatar medical writings used both local and classical medical texts.

Aim: to analyze the associations of rs17782313 polymorphism of melanocortin type 4 receptor (MC4R) gene in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in Tatar ethnic group (Republic of Bashkortostan) and to determine the types of eating disorders in T2D patients and their association with MC4R allelic variants (rs17782313).Patients and Methods: MC4R rs17782313 gene polymorphism was genotyped by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in 190 healthy individuals (39 men and 151 women, mean age 55.3±9.8 years) and 200 patients with T2D (57 men and 143 women, mean age 59.2±9.5 years). Eating behavior was assessed using the Dutch Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (DEBQ) in 134 controls and 83 patients with T2D. All individuals belonged to the Tatar ethnic group and lived in the Republic of Bashkortostan. Statistical analysis was performed using Statistica 6.0 and SNPStats software (https://www.snpstats.net/start.htm). Odds ratio (OR) was calculated using online platform (https://www.medcalc.org/calc/odds_ratio.php).Results: higher prevalence of C/C genotype of MC4R rs17782313 gene polymorphism was revealed in T2D patients compared to the controls (6.0% vs. 2.1%, respectively, p=0.0444). T2D patients were characterized by higher “Emotional eating” scores (р<0.00001) but lower “Restrictive eating” scores (р=0.0001) and “External eating” scores (р<0.0047) compared to healthy individuals. MC4R allelic variants (rs17782313) did not demonstrate any associations with eating behavior types in either T2D patients or controls. Conclusion: C/C genotype of rs17782313 MC4R gene polymorphism is a marker of higher risk of T2D in Tatar ethnic group (OR=2.9, p=0,0444). The mechanisms by which MC4R allelic variants (rs17782313) affect T2D pathogenesis require further studies.KEYWORDS: type 2 diabetes, eating behavior, Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire, DEBQ, melanocortin receptor type 4 gene, emotional eating, external eating, restrictive eating, genetic susceptibility, Tatar ethnic group.FOR CITATION: Avzaletdinova D.Sh., Morugova T.V., Sharipova L.F., Kochetova O.V. Abstract:
IntroductionThe individual sensitivity of a person to the effects of alcohol is defined as the possibility of adaptive reactions, which are controlled by various factors associated in their manifestation with characteristics in various ethnic populations.ObjectivesTo determine biological profile of medical response in alcoholic patients of different ethnic groups.Methods168 alcoholic men, aged 17 to 62 years were examined. For the therapeutic correction of withdrawal and post-withdrawal symptoms of patients from two different ethnic groups (Tatars and Russians in Siberia), the original anticonvulsant galodif (M-chloro-benzhydrylurea) was used. Pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated a model-independent method of statistical moments: half-life (T1/2,h), total clearance (Clt,ml/min), average time of the residual drug in the body (MRI,h), average elimination time (MET,h), the area under the pharmacokinetic curve (AUC, μg/ml).ResultsGalodif causes a reduction in almost half T1/2, a significant decrease in the average time of the residual drug in the body MRI, and the average elimination time MET. Overall clearance increased. Under the influence of the course with Galodif, antipyrine elimination intensified, which indicates the induction of the cytochrome P-450 system of microsomal liver monooxygenases in Russian alcoholic patients. Galodif causes a reduction of almost five-fold T1/2, a significant decrease MRI and MET. Activation of oxidative metabolism of xenobiotics in Tatar alcoholic patients is more significant.ConclusionsThe increased sensitivity of P-450 cytochrome system to anticonvulsants action with inductive detoxification properties reflects differences in adaptive mechanisms in human from various ethnic groups, what is significant in the therapy.DisclosureNo significant relationships.

The article describes the medical, scientific, organizational, as well as political activities of the outstanding doctor of the Tatar and Bashkir ASSR Mstislav Aleksandrovich (Mukhametkhan Sakhipgareevich) Kulaev. His name went down in history because of the signing of the Agreement of the Central Soviet Power with the Bashkir Government on Soviet Autonomous Bashkiria on March 20, 1919 in Moscow. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that February 7, 2023 marked the 150th anniversary of the birth of M.A. Kulaev, and in 2019 the Republic of Bashkortostan celebrated the 100th anniversary of its formation. The article publishes for the first time previously unknown facts concerning Essays on the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis, the author of which is M.A. Kulaev, who collected material during his work with tuberculosis patients. In addition, the authors were able to personally meet with the heirs of the famous Kazan doctor and draw many new, unknown facts from the biography of this outstanding healthcare figure in the Tatar and Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republics.

Abstract:
The article reveals the meaning and structure of the concept of “frame” in modern linguistics, as well as outlines the main approaches to the classification of the frame in translation studies as an effective tool to explain the translation process. Later, this classification is used to analyze a number of examples taken from the story of M. Mathios “Armageddon has already taken place”, translated by Sh. Sati for the first Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar literary competition “Qırım İnciri” (“Crimean Fig”). The special conditions of formation of static and dynamic frames are investigated on examples in the article, and also advantages of use of frame translation for preservation of mental images of the people are shown. The article demonstrates the relevance of frame interpretation of a literary text from Ukrainian into Crimean Tatar as a means of solving problems that arise when translating mental images reflected in the culturally marked vocabulary of the original work into another language in different cultural environment. Finally, the article proves that the frame approach offers a solid theoretical basis for studying and preserving the mental images proposed by the author of the source text and reproduced by the translator, and provides a basis for studying the dynamic process underlying the ability to reproduce information with minimal distortion. Taking into account that frames represent static and dynamic phenomena, I have to admit that it works effectively to describe and explain the translator’s mental process. Translators, in terms of the semantics of frames, can be seen as creators who, operating on frames, seek to achieve cognitive equivalence.

Abstract:
The article concentrates on searching for missing knowledge about the influence of unbalanced heritage (inherited) bilingualism on the cognitive regulation of a child with high speech activity in a second (Russian) language. The study involved junior schoolchildren 7-8 years old: 1) the main group (N=22) - the children with unbalanced heritage bilingualism (who inherited the Tatar language with different levels of linguistic competence in respect of native and Russian languages), 2) the comparison group (N=30) - monolingual children with speech activity in Russian, who study in educational institutions of the Udmurt Republic. According to the results of empirical research, along with a greater severity of the planning indicator the plasticity and flexibility of the cognitive regulation system of the bilinguals has been established, which provides the integrative potential for regular opportunities. We assume that these advantages arise from the activation of bilingual interaction of language systems.

Abstract:
Water had a special cultural significance in human life. Water was a cheap and widely available resource for everyone. Water has fulfilled a wide variety of functions over the centuries. People even believed in the magical properties of water. The water also had a symbolic effect - it cleansed the body from sins. However, it was during this period in Western Europe that drinking water was considered harmful to health. In spite of this, in the 16th century the poorest peasants and monks who lived the harsh monastery life were drinking water in Poland, also the monarchs from the Jagiellonian dynasty, who were afraid of poison, drank water. However, the richer social strata drank beer or, more rarely, wine. It was believed that stagnant water (in reservoirs) was spreading epidemics. The authors of medical guides claimed that drinking such water could cause infertility, dysentery and other diseases. Only boiling the water was a way to improve its properties. To eliminate the smell they were adding garlic, salt, and vinegar, the Tartars brought from Asia the custom of adding so-called Tatar herb, later called calamus, and other herbs (eg. mint, sage) were also added to the water.

Abstract:
This article is devoted to the history of Russian language learning by the Tatars of Siberia in the late 19th–early 20th centuries. In accordance with the Rules on Measures for the Education of the Inorodets (national minority) Inhabiting Russia, Approved by His Majesty on March 26, 1870, schools were established where Muslims learned Russian and other secular disciplines as part of the primary school curriculum. The Tomsk Russian-Tatar School was the first to be established. It was opened in the 1875-1876 academic year. With the development of Jadid education in Siberia, from the end of the 19th century and especially after the Russian Revolution of 1905-1907, the Russian language was introduced in madrasahsand maktabs. The most important phenomenon was the creation of women’s maktabs, where, along with religious subjects, girls began to study secular disciplines. At the same time, Russian-Tatar schools were created in accordance with the education reform carried out by P. Stolypin, the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian Empire, and the introduction of a number of new Rules of the Ministry of Public Education (MNE) on the education of non-Russian peoples. In Siberia, the most significant examples were the Russian-Tatar school in Tyumen, opened in 1913, and the Tomsk two-class Russian-Tatar school, opened in 1913 in memory of the centenary of the Patriotic War of 1812. Along with education for Tatar children in Tomsk, courses for adults were run in Tomsk from 1909. In 1916, training courses were organized in Tomsk, where Muslim youths (primarily Tatars and Kazakhs) could prepare for a teacher’s certificate and a certificate of maturity exams. Russian Muslim libraries played an important role in familiarizing the Tatar population with Russian culture. Along with the periodicals and books in Tatar, other Turkic languages of the peoples of Russia and Arabic, there were periodicals and books in Russian. Thus, by the revolution of 1917, a whole set of Tatar Muslim educational and cultural-educational institutions had emerged in Siberia, which made it possible to study and further improve the level of proficiency in the Russian language and literature.

Abstract:
The article systematizes information on the Kazan school of Tolstoy Studies, on the systematic work of the scholars aimed to perpetuate the memory of the great Russian writer in our region and on trends in translation studies. The paper briefly outlines the regional aspect of the topic “Tolstoy and Theater”. We give a generalized description of the performances, based on the works of Leo Tolstoy, and staged in Tatar theaters on the occasion of the 195th anniversary of the Russian literature classic. The directors focused on the works from the school curriculum: “The Caucasian Prisoner” (directed by Ilfak Hafizov) and “Kholstomer” (directed by Rustam Galiyev). When developing a script, the screenwriters “nationalized” the content. In order to deepen the images of the “Tatars”, Ilfak Hafizov adds dialogues, and Rkail Zaidulla, contrary to the author’s attitude of detachment, relies on a rich arsenal of vocabulary related to the concept of “horse”, inventing beautiful nicknames for horses, as he cannot overcome his special feeling for horses inherent in the Tatars. Director Lisa Bondar and playwright Ekaterina Augustenyak, working on the dramatization of “Dөm” (Rafkat Shagieva’s translation) based on Leo Tolstoy's play “The Power of Darkness”, transfer the events to modern times. The creators of the play focus on the people. This explains the strange name of the production in Tatar. Tatar performances appeared on the professional stage thanks to the project “Culture of the Small Motherland” and the subproject “Theaters of Small Towns”.

Abstract:
The article examines the borrowed Russian-language words in the vocabulary of the Tatar dialects, identifies the function features of Russianisms in the local dialects and describes the mechanisms of the borrowed vocabulary adaptation at the phonetic level. The relevance of the work is the need to study Russian borrowings in the functional and semantic aspects. The purpose of the research is to study the functional features of Russian borrowings in the Tatar dialects. The scientific novelty is to disclose the functional potential of the Tatar dialectal vocabulary category under consideration. The study is based on the “Dialectological Dictionary of the Tatar Language” (1993, 2009). As a result of the study, the article argues that the presence of such a large number of lexemes indicates the important role of Russianisms in the worldview of the people and, consequently, in their lifestyle, culture and language. The article concludes that Arab-Persian borrowings prevail most in the accents of the middle dialect, and Russianisms are primarily recorded in the accents of the Western dialect and in the dialects of the Siberian Tatars. We have found that Russian borrowings in the process of phonetic development undergo a strong phonetic adaptation to the orthoepic norms of the Tatar language, which is due to the difference between the languages in contact at all levels of the language structure, including the system of vocalism and at the consonant level.

Abstract:
The article systematizes information from the history of Tatar translations of Leo Tolstoy’s dramaturgical works and their existence in the Tatar environment. We have two Tatar translations of the drama “The Power of Darkness”. The analysis is based on Rafkat Shageev’s translation, made a century after the creation of the work. The belated appeal of the Tatar theater to this work is due to the specifics of the Tatars’ mentality and their way of life. In the course of our comparative analysis of the “Dөm” (“The Power of Darkness”) script against the original of the work, we found that the scriptwriters Elizaveta Bondar and Evgenia Augustenyak significantly abridged the work, intensifying the metaphorical and symbolic aspect of its dramatic images. The duration of the performance at the Almetyevsk Theater is 1.5 hours. During the comparative analysis, we proved that the scriptwriters sought to demonstrate the imagery potential of the Tatar language and its rhythmic capabilities, which is why the stage canvas has acquired the operatic sound. The translator managed to convey not only the message and the general idea, but also the structure of the script. R. Shageev used literary techniques in such a way as to make the pronounced text produce on the reader an emotional effect which would be close to the original. This article is the first step forward on the way to understand the phenomenon of Rafkat Shageev’s translation strategy.

Abstract:
Today, 78 million women live in Russia — all of them have equal rights with men. But has it always been like this? Within the framework of this article, gender equality is considered as the result of persistent and long-term work that began with the formation of the state and continues at the present time. The authors believe that the development of gender equality is impossible without knowledge of the history of its formation. Further, the article presents the main factors that have had a significant impact on the degree of recognition of women’s rights and freedoms in Russia: church influence in the regulation of family relations, the invasion of the Mongol-Tatar yoke and its trace in the history of the formation of gender equality, serfdom, the organization of women’s movements, the period of Soviet power, wartime and their influence on the formation of gender equality in Russia. The authors consider in detail the principle of gender equality, which has an international legal and constitutional basis and is one of the most important provisions enshrined in many legal documents.

Abstract:
The article considers the little-studied pages of the development of light music in Kazan on the example of the cooperation of graphic artist Nadir Almeev with “Prometheus” Student Design Bureau under the guidance of physicist Bulat Galeev. The artist Nadir Almeev is a master of graphics, professionally proficient in various etching techniques: etching, aquatint, reserve, dry needle. In 1977-1990, he regularly studied at the Senezh Studio-the Central Educational and Experimental Studio of the Union of Artists of the USSR under Evgeniy Sidorkin and Sergey Zarovniy. The artist’s creative search was reflected in such series as “Icarus” (1969),” Memory of running “(1977),” Bullfight “(1980),” Per aspera” (1996),”Spleen” (1995) and others, combining the unrestrained imagination with strict organization. No matter what topics Nadir Almeev touches on, no matter what technique he works in, he surprisingly constructs an entire Universe at once from individual strokes and inconspicuous details. Since 1966 Nadir Almeev collaborated with the Tatar Book Publishing house, with the newspaper “YashLeninchy”, since 1975 with the Kazan newsreel studio: he participated in the creation of the films “Jalil, the Wanderer of Struggle” (1976), “Cosmic Sonata” (1982), illustrated books and booklets. He is member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1985. A bright, but little-studied stage of the artist’s work was the film “Small Triptych” (1975). The film appeared to be an attempt to combine several types of art together, while expressing deep, philosophical thoughts. So, the activity of the members of “Prometheus” Student Design Bureau was to create a new, independent art of light music, where sound, light and image will be equal components of a single design, a reflection of the real “polyphony” of the surrounding reality. This article for the first time reveals the features of the creative method and the innovative role of the artist Nadir Almeev in the development of the Kazan school of light-music on the example of the first in the Soviet Union rolling light-music film to the music of Grigoriy Sviridov “Small Triptych”. The original sketches created by the artist for the film in the author’s technique using hydrotype pigments on wet paper are analyzed. A series of abstract sketches, devoid of any illustrative content, are arranged according to the musical development of the work. The purpose of this article is to reveal the role and significance of Nadir Almeev in the activities of “Prometheus” Student Design Bureau. Key words: synthesis of arts, synthesis, light-music, graphics, hydrotype printing, Grigoriy Sviridov, Bulat Galeev, Nadir Almeev.

Abstract:
This article examines Tatar and Russian modern prose characterized by transitional features. The main attention is paid to the works by the Tatar writer Aigul Akhmetgalieva whose work most vividly embodies transitional phenomena in Tatar literature at the beginning of the 21st century. In particular, the authors of the article focus on her stories “Kapka” (“The Gate”), “Tan chyklaryn җil ubu” (“The Wind Kisses the Morning Dew”) and the novel “Tutash”. The purpose of the article is to review new trends in Tatar prose and identify the common features in modern Tatar and Russian literature. The motif of search in Tatar prose correlates with the existential component of consciousness in Russian culture as a whole. Both Russian and Tatar prose follow the trend of profound philosophical subtext and the introduction of new writing techniques. The analysis of Akhmetgalieva’s works has led to the conclusion that in modern Tatar prose, classical realism and avant-garde discourse, when interacting, form new methods of personal relationship with the outside world. The characters of modern writers are most often at a crossroads, in a borderline state, the latest prose reflecting the problem of the total ill-being of modern society.

Abstract:
The article discusses the key trends in the school course of literary education, identifies problematic aspects in the teaching of Tatar literature in educational institutions with the Tatar language of instruction. The relevance of the study is determined by the insufficiently studied problematic aspects in the teaching of Tatar literature in general educational institutions with instruction in the Tatar language, and, therefore, the need to analyze sample syllabuses for Tatar literature in this aspect. The scientific novelty is determined by the fact that in the course of our study, firstly, attention is focused on the main principles, on which two groups of authors based their programs, built according to concentric and chronological principles, underlying the current teaching of Tatar literature; secondly, problematic aspects are identified in teaching Tatar literature. As a result of the study, it is argued that the main problem in teaching Tatar literature is the knowledge of the theoretical foundations for students to learn the creative path of a particular writer and the literary process as a whole; to this end, students need to know the system of theoretical terms and concepts, the criteria for analyzing a literary text and artistic phenomena. The second urgent problem concerning the algorithm of Tatar literature learning at school is related to the study of the history of verbal art. The third important problem is the problem of motivation for reading literary texts, since reading a literary text is an important component in the school course of literary education.

Abstract:
The article deals with certain aspects of the Tatar-Russian bilingual individual’s speech behavior in everyday discourse. The object of our analysis is the language of everyday communication of the Tatar-Russian bilinguals belonging to the young, middle and older generations inside and outside the family, as well as the specifics of language use in these spheres. We conducted a comparative analysis of the linguistic behavior of the two categories of respondents on the basis of the factual material, collected through questionnaires and the recordings of spontaneous conversational speech fragments. The research was conducted using descriptive, statistical methods and a correlation analysis, which made it possible to establish the correlation between the language situation, competence and social parameters of the respondents. The first group of respondents was humanities students of Tatar nationality, among whom 67.6 % of the respondents came from rural families and 32.4% were from urban families. The second group of respondents were representatives of different age groups of mono-ethnic and mixed families, as well as two representatives of other ethnic groups who have an above-average level of Tatar language proficiency. The analysis showed that in today’s active bilingual society the language of everyday communication is complex and multidimensional in its nature. Its functionality and range depend on the language personality’s place of residence and a communicative situation. In the course of our research, we identified the specifics and reasons for language mixing in Tatar colloquial speech. As the respondents leave their family society, there is a noticeable increase in the number of Russian words and expressions in their speech, which is especially characteristic of the younger generation of bilinguals. As the research has shown, in modern conditions, Tatar-Russian bilingualism is actively developing, penetrating into such a stable sphere as a family society. This phenomenon is also observed in modern families, which implement Tatar-Russian bilingualism and whose members’ first language is their native Tatar language.

Abstract:
The article considers representation variants of the Tatar language concepts based on Tatar and Bashkir literatures of the Republic of Bashkortostan in terms of cognitive and cultural linguistics. Here, we briefly present the main approaches to the interpretation of such notions as ‘concept’, ‘artistic picture of the world’, ‘individual linguistic picture of the world’, etc.The artistic comprehension of the national-linguistic picture of the world is carried out by writers and poets as they are able to create new artistic worlds and in this way to expand the connotational field of a particular concept. To analyze this process, the article uses the works of Tatar and Bashkir writers: M. Kabirov, G. Gizzatullina, G. Gilmanov, M. Vafin and M. Zakirov. We present our experience of interpreting such meaningful concepts of Tatar culture as ‘кеше’ (Tat. keshe - person), ‘җан’ (Tat. zhan - soul), ‘кабык’ (Tat. kabyk - lubok), ‘шагыйрь’ (Tat. shagyir - poet), ‘моң’ (Tat. mon - melody / sadness), ‘юл’ (Tat. yul - road / path) possessing linguistic and linguocultural significance. The research proves the value of the concept analysis aimed to determine the combination of universal, national and individual components of the concept in the oeuvre of a certain author. The article shows that analyzing a text or texts of writers from the viewpoint of conceptual frameworks allows a deeper understanding of their artistic canvas as a representation of the writer’s world. The article highlights that the analysis of the conceptual picture of the text, based on Tatar literature, remains relevant and promising.
