Abstract:
<p>Whalley, Mavros and Furniss (this issue) explore questions of agency, control and interaction, as well as the embodied nature of musical performance in relation to the use of human-computer interaction through the work <em>Clasp Together (beta) </em>for small ensemble and live electronics. The underlying concept of the piece focuses on direct mapping of a human neural network (embodied by a performer within the ensemble) to an artificial neural network running on a computer. With our commentary, we contextualize the work by offering a brief history of music that uses brainwaves. We review the use of EEG signals for musical performance and point at precedents in EEG-based musical practice. We hope to more clearly situate <em>Clasp Together (beta)</em> in the broad area of Brain Computer Musical Interfaces and discuss the challenges and opportunities that these technologies offer for composers.</p>

In this study implementing odometry using RVIZ on a quadcopter flying robot that uses the Pixhawk Cube firmware version 3.6.8 as the sub-controller. Then the Lenovo G400 laptop as the main-controller as well as the Ground Control Station using the ubuntu 16.04 Linux operating system. The ROS platform uses the Kinetic and MAVROS versions as a quadcopter platform package using MAVlink communication with the telemetry module. The odometry system was tested using Rviz as navigation for Quadcopter movements in carrying out movements that follow movement patterns in certain shapes and perform basic robot movements. Data were collected using a standard measuring instrument inclinometer as a measurement of the slope of the robot and visualization RVIZ as a visual display of the odometric robot. The results of the research obtained are that the flying robot can maneuver according to the shape on the RVIZ according to the movements carried out directly at the airport, as well as the effect of the roll angle on the quadcopter (negative left roll, positive right) and the pitch angle on the quadcopter (negative forward pitch, the pitch returns positive).

Abstract:
Grape skins and seeds are sources of various quality characters of grapevine varieties, such as phenolic compounds, anthocyanins, resveratrol etc. The Greek vineyard is characterized by a large number of indigenous grapevine varieties which remain almost unexploited in terms of their different phenolic content. The aim of this study was to assay the polyphenolic content of seven red native Greek grapevine varieties (‘Kolliniatiko’, ‘Bekari’, ‘Bakouri’, ‘Kountoura mavri’, ‘Doubrena mavri’, ‘Thrapsa’, and ‘Mavro Spetson’) using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with a diode array detector and spectrophotometer. All studied varieties were cultivated in the same area and under the same conditions. The results revealed that despite the fact that anthocyanins and phenolic compounds content were in high levels for all varieties, statistically significant differences were recorded among them. The highest anthocyanins concentration was recorded in ‘Kolliniatiko’, while the lowest anthocyanins concentration was recorded in ‘Mavro Spetson’. Grapevine variety ‘Mavro Spetson’ presented the highest concentration of total phenolic compounds, with statistically significant difference compared to ‘Kountoura mavri’ and ‘Bekari’. Grapevine varieties ‘Kolliniatiko’ and ‘Bekari’ presented the highest concentrations in trans-resveratrol and piceid content, while grapevine variety ‘Doubrena mavri’ presented the highest concentration in vanillin content. These unexploited rare native cultivated varieties contained appreciable amounts of non-colored phenols as well as anthocyanins, meaning that they would be worthy of further study and use for the production of quality wines.

Abstract:
Twenty-one grapevine varieties grown all over Greece and belonging to ‘Mavroudia’ group were ampelographically described and genotyped by AFLP molecular analysis in order to discriminate the varieties, synonyms, homonyms and variations of the group. In most cases, the molecular findings confirmed the results of the ampelographic description. In general, and despite the high degree of genetic similarity between certain pairs of the studied cultivars, the group of ‘Mavroudia’ was characterized as being heterogeneous. From the studied cultivars, ‘Kountoura mavri’, ‘Mavro Spetson’ and ‘Pappoudes’ showed very high degree of genetic similarity, sustaining the hypothesis that the last two are clones of the first. Grapevine cultivar ‘Pappoudes’ was for the first time ampelographically described and identified as being closely related to ‘Kountoura mavri’. High degree of genetic similarity was observed between cultivars ‘Gaidouricha’ and ‘Agiomavritiko’, suggesting that they probably originated from the same parent variety through the accumulation of mutations. This may also be true for cultivars ‘Mavrokorakas’ and ‘Kartsiotis’. Also, the results from the statistical analysis showed that ‘Mavro Arachovis’, ‘Mavroudi Voulgarias’ and ‘Voulgaroudes’, despite the relatively high genetic similarity between them, are different. The same applies for the rest of the cultivars studied, while ‘Mavro Kalavriton’, the most widespread variety of the ‘Mavroudia’ group, showed the lowest degree of genetic similarity within the all the cultivars studied. The ampelographic description in combination with the molecular method AFLP are effective for the study of the between and within genetic diversity of grapevine cultivars as well as for their identification and discrimination.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to study I. Stravinsky’s opera «Mavra» in the aspect of embodiment of «universals» (by S. Savenko) of the composer’s orchestral logic and usage of specific devices of orchestration, spawned by original artistic idea and genre traits of the opera. The article applies such methods of this scientific research as genre, historical and system-functional. The scientific novelty of the investigative article is caused by the fact, that it is foremost research in domestic musicology of specifics of «Mavra’s» orchestral writing on intersection of general and singular. Conclusions. The analysis of orchestral writing in «Mavra» allowed us to draw the following conclusions a namely specifics of orchestral writing are caused by peculiarities of selected model’s genre as well as by orientation towards the theatre of representation; orchestral writing reveals multi-figure and combinative principles, which, if one is to use the terms of S. Savenko, might be described as «universals» of orchestral writing; specifics of orchestral writing is defined by the interaction of the two projection of I. Stravinsky’s orchestral logic: general and singular (special); composer tends to use multi-figure and combinative methods in a concealed way, with some transfigurations (rhythmic-intonation configuration of figures is being reduced as they become akin to formulae), that reflects universal artistic inclination towards game and variative thinking on multiple levels of artistically-aesthetic integrity; timbre and texture structure of the opera is marked by lack of full string group in the orchestra, relatively rare changes of timbres and timbre combinations compared to early ballets, smaller quantity of timbre combinations on the vertical axis, more pronounced continuity of time; omission of complicated combinative and multi-figure composition principles, that causes the orchestral space to be dimensional.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether or not mavens’ dissemination activities are likely to promote or hinder retailers’ store brand premiumisation attempts, by revealing the relationship between mavens’ price and non-price on-pack extrinsic cue search and their store brand purchasing behaviours. Design/methodology/approach The paper adopts a hypothetic-deductive approach and develops a model of mavens’ store brand purchasing behaviour. The model is tested using SEM on a US data set containing 457 respondents. A full discussion of the direct, indirect and total effects is provided. Findings Mavens’ store brand purchasing behaviours are strongly linked to their price search activities and negatively related to their use of non-price on-pack extrinsic cues. This indicates that their dissemination activities are likely to stress lower prices and hence price competition rather than promote other cues used to infer quality. Thus, mavens are likely to inhibit retailers’ store brand premiumisation attempts. Mavens’ investments in time engaged in search activities are strongly linked to social returns rather than private financial savings. Research limitations/implications The work is based on data collected using an online survey in one region of the USA where store brands are not as prevalent in other countries such as the UK. Practical implications The investigation of non-price on-pack extrinsic cues reduces mavens’ store brand purchasing behaviours while the use of price cues increases them. This suggests that even with mavens’ market expertise that a non-price extrinsic cue deficit continues to exist for these products. Consequently, retailers need to re-examine and rework the cues contained on pack to convey more positive consumption-related information if mavens are to become store brand advocates. Originality/value Rather than conceptualising the maven as possessing market wide knowledge, this research adopts a domain specific perspective arguing that price mavenism can be distinguished from product-related mavenism with consequences for the set of extrinsic cues used as part of the maven’s search process. In doing so, it reveals the conflicting effects that these maven dimensions have on purchasing behaviours and the likely effects on mavens’ dissemination activities.

Abstract:
The research focus is individuals who have information about many kinds of products, places to shop, and other facets of the market, and initiate discussions with and respond to information requests from other consumers. Specifically, the authors develop a Likert-type scale to measure consumers’ propensity to provide general shopping and marketplace information. Consumers scoring high on this scale are referred to as “market mavens.” Based on a national sample of 1531 households, the findings indicate that market mavens exist and that other consumers recognize them. Consumers believe market mavens are influential in their purchasing decisions. The authors document the distinctness of market mavens from other influencers. They test several propositions about the market attitudes and behaviors of market mavens, but find no clear socioeconomic and demographic profile of these influencers. The results have implications for marketing managers and suggest a reexamination of the approach to information diffusion.

Abstract:
With growing competition and the increasing complexity of commercial information, interpersonal communication continues to be important to marketers. Market mavens, those consumers with general product knowledge that act as disseminators of product information, play a central role in influencing others’ purchase decisions. Previous research, which has focused on mavens’ demographics and media consumption, has neglected the motives that drive these consumer communicators. From a survey of 326 consumers, we explore how those respondents ranked high on the maven scale differ in terms of their motivations to engage in word‐of‐mouth behavior from those scoring lower on the maven scale. Our results indicate that market mavens, compared with moderate and non‐mavens, are motivated to a greater extent by a sense of obligation to share information, a desire to help others, and feelings of pleasure associated with informing others about products. The relationship between initial information diffusion, maven group, and the investigated motivations are also explored. Implications for marketers targeting mavens are offered.

Abstract:
Virophages have the unique property of parasitizing giant viruses within unicellular hosts. Little is understood about how they form infectious virions in this tripartite interplay. We provide mechanistic insights into assembly and maturation of mavirus, a marine virophage, by combining structural and stability studies on capsomers, virus-like particles (VLPs), and native virions. We found that the mavirus protease processes the double jelly-roll (DJR) major capsid protein (MCP) at multiple C-terminal sites and that these sites are conserved among virophages. Mavirus MCP assembled inEscherichia coliin the absence and presence of penton protein, forming VLPs with defined size and shape. While quantifying VLPs inE. colilysates, we found that full-length rather than processed MCP is the competent state for capsid assembly. Full-length MCP was thermally more labile than truncated MCP, and crystal structures of both states indicate that full-length MCP has an expanded DJR core. Thus, we propose that the MCP C-terminal domain serves as a scaffolding domain by adding strain on MCP to confer assembly competence. Mavirus protease processed MCP more efficiently after capsid assembly, which provides a regulation mechanism for timing capsid maturation. By analogy to Sputnik and adenovirus, we propose that MCP processing renders mavirus particles infection competent by loosening interactions between genome and capsid shell and destabilizing pentons for genome release into host cells. The high structural similarity of mavirus and Sputnik capsid proteins together with conservation of protease and MCP processing suggest that assembly and maturation mechanisms described here are universal for virophages.

Abstract:
Abstract Wetland acts as an important habitat that supports a massive diversity of organisms, especially waterbirds. We examined waterbird diversity and habitat use in relation to abiotic factors at Mavoor and Vazhakkad, two major wetlands in southwestern India. The study was carried out from 2015 December to 2016 November. A total of 50 species from Vazhakkad and 40 species from Mavoor wetlands were recorded; 12 species were exclusive to Vazhakkad and three to Mavoor. Among them, 16 species were winter visitors in Vazhakkad and nine in Mavoor. Highest diversity of waterbirds was observed in the agroecosystem of Vazhakkad. Physicochemical variables were recorded for the two wetlands, and their effect on waterbird richness, abundance and diversity were correlated. Multivariate analysis showed the variation in diversity between the two wetlands (MANOVA: Wilks’ λ = 0.933, F = 3.69, P = 0.006) and habitat wetland interaction (MANOVA: Wilks’ λ = 0.694, F = 10.25, P = 0.00). Nonlinear regression analyses were carried out between the evolution of the ecological index in the two wetlands separately. The present study could determine the effects of anthropogenic disturbances on wetland function from this study.

Abstract:
Abstract OBJECTIVE: To review our series of intradural spinal cord arteriovenous fistulas (SCAVFs), analyzing symptoms and related angioarchitecture, and to study the morphological and clinical results of embolization. METHODS: Thirty-two SCAVFs (in 22 adults and 10 children) were treated between 1981 and 2000. These lesions were classified as microarteriovenous fistulas (mAVFs) or macroarteriovenous fistulas (MAVFs) according to shunt morphology. Location, architecture, presenting symptoms, and age group were detailed. The selection of patients for endovascular versus surgical treatments was analyzed, as were the anatomic and clinical results obtained by embolization with n-butylcyanoacrylate. Clinical status was evaluated according to the Karnofsky Performance Scale score. RESULTS: Ten SCAVFs were found in the pediatric population (four mAVFs and six MAVFs). All four mAVFs presented with acute symptoms. Three mAVFs (two cervical and one thoracic) presented hematomyelia; in one patient with a thoracic AVF, subarachnoid hemorrhage was suspected. All six MAVFs were located in the thoracolumbar cord (five associated with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasias). Four of the six MAVFs presented with hemorrhage. In the adult population, there were 21 mAVFS (95%) and one MAVF (5%). Only two mAVFs were found in the cervical cord, all other shunts affecting the thoracolumbar region. Hemorrhage was present in 6 of the 22 cases seen in adults (27%). The symptoms of SCAVFs did not differ from those found in spinal cord arteriovenous shunts of nidus type. Pial venous reflux and congestion were the most frequently encountered features in both the adult and pediatric groups. Arterial aneurysms (different from false aneurysms) were not found in association with hemorrhagic presentation of SCAVFs. Mean follow-up in our series was 3.3 years. Of the MAVFs, 86% were embolized, with 67% cured. The others had more than 75% occlusion. All patients followed up improved significantly. Of the mAVFs, 48% were treated endovascularly. Successful embolization was performed in 75% of patients. One patient was not embolized because of vasospasm, whereas 67% percent of mAVFs were completely occluded, 22% were more than 90% occluded, and 11% were 75% occluded. Complementary surgery was deemed unnecessary. All patients with mAVFs improved significantly at follow-up. Transient complications occurred in 22% of all patients, with no permanent morbidity or mortality. No patient bled or rebled after embolization. Thirty-six percent of mAVFs were operated on because of anticipated technical difficulties for endovascular approach or distal localization of the shunt. CONCLUSION: Endovascular treatment of SCAVFs stabilizes, normalizes, or improves neurological symptoms in all patients at long-term follow-up, with no bleeds or rebleeds. Embolization of SCAVFs with glue is a safe treatment that compares favorably with other approaches and significantly improves the poor natural history of the disease.

Abstract:
Purpose – This paper aims to focus on two main and related issues: evaluating whether the required entrepreneurial capabilities are present according to Gladwell’s law of the few in the Western Negev region of Israel and identifying the economic development model that can generate a viral development. Design/methodology/approach – In this paper, McClelland’s classification was used to evaluate the level of motivation in the region and Gladwell’s law of the few classification was used to understand the potentially positive effect of each entrepreneur on the others and on economic development in general. To evaluate the personal and business capabilities of each entrepreneur, two groups of parameters, one describing the personal profile and the other describing the business behavior of the entrepreneurs, were used. Findings – Most entrepreneurs are ready to cooperate with the open incubator and to contribute to generating common business interest, but mavens and connectors have few of the required personal characteristics and business attitudes. Only the salesmen have the required personal profile, but they lack the necessary business attitude. Highly motivated entrepreneurs, at need-for-power level, have both the required personal profile and business attitude. They are the ones who could generate growth, and a portion of them have the characteristics to become mavens, connectors and salesmen. Practical implications – The willingness to cooperate with a neutral organization and generate common economic interest is present in the Western Negev, but the following actions are required to achieve viral development: persuade and support entrepreneurs at the highest level of motivation to be a part of the few, i.e. mavens, connectors and salesmen; improve the business attitude of mavens, connectors and salesmen; and plan the work program of the open incubator in cooperation with entrepreneurs at the need-for-power level: mavens, connectors and salesmen. Originality/value – Viral economic development can occur if the few mavens, connectors and salesmen in a given sector or region have the required positive personal profile and business attitude, and if most of the entrepreneurs are ready to cooperate with a neutral organization, the open incubator and join efforts with others to generate new common business interests.

Abstract:
Background: Hip arthroplasty is increasingly prevalent, and early detection of complications can improve outcomes. Quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (qMRI) methods using multi-acquisition variable-resonance image combination (MAVRIC) may allow for the assessment of soft tissues in close proximity to hip arthroplasty devices. Question/Purposes: We sought to determine the clinical feasibility of MAVRIC-based T2 mapping as a qMRI approach for assessing synovial reactions in patients with a hip arthroplasty device. We hypothesized that there would be differences in T2 metrics by synovial type, clinical impression, and clinical findings related to synovitis. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study of 141 subjects with 171 hip arthroplasties with greater than 1 year post-implantation. We enrolled subjects who had had a primary total hip arthroplasty or hip resurfacing arthroplasty between May 2019 and March 2020, excluding those with a revision hip arthroplasty and those with standard safety contraindications for receiving an MRI. Institutional standard 2D fast spin echo (FSE), short-tau inversion recovery (STIR), and susceptibility-reduced MAVRIC morphological MR images were acquired for each hip and followed by a dual-echo acquisition MAVRIC T2 mapping sequence. Results: While 131 subjects (81%) were classified as having a “normal” synovial reaction, significantly longer T2 values were found for fluid synovial reactions compared with mixed reactions. In addition, subjects with synovial dehiscence and decompression present had T2 prolongation. Larger synovial volumes were found in subjects with low-signal intensity deposits. Conclusions: MAVRIC-based T2 mapping is clinically feasible and there are significant quantitative differences based on type of synovial reaction. Patients undergoing hip arthroscopy revision surgery will warrant comparison of T2 values with direct histologic assessment of a tissue sample obtained intraoperatively. The approach used in this study may be used for a quantitative evaluation and monitoring of soft tissues around metal implants.

Abstract:
Mavko and Jizba propose a quantitative model for squirt dispersion of elastic-wave velocities between seismic and ultrasonic frequencies in granular rocks. Their central results are the expressions for the so-called unrelaxed frame bulk and shear moduli computed under an assumption that the stiff pores are drained (or dry) but the soft pores are filled with fluid. Mavko-Jizba expressions are limited to liquid-saturated rocks but become inaccurate when the fluid-bulk modulus is small (e.g., for gas-saturated rocks). We have derived new expressions for unrelaxed moduli of fluid-saturated porous rocks using Sayers-Kachanov discontinuity formalism. The derived expressions generalize the established Mavko-Jizba relations to gas-saturated rocks, reduce to Mavko-Jizba results when the pore fluid is liquid, and yield dry moduli when fluid-bulk modulus tends to zero. We tested this by comparing our model and the model of Mavko and Jizba against laboratory measurements on a sample of Westerly granite.

It is known that every class-regular symmetric -net is tactical. Also it is known that all -nets with or are tactical. In the work of Al-Kenani and Mavron (2003), it is proved that every symmetric net with is tactical if and only if it is class regular. In this paper, we construct -net and show that it is class regular and therefore tactical. New necessary and sufficient conditions are given for a symmetric net to admit a nonidentity bitranslation.

Abstract:
The function of a market maven in the information transfer processes is apparently related to one’s psychological states such as inherent knowledge and involvement level. Understanding reference potential of mavens seems to be relevant to comprehend the implicit value of a maven in the communication process. This study shows that (1) apparently, maven groups can be clearly distinguished from a non-maven group on the basis on inherent personal knowledge level and involvement level; (2) market mavens have a high reference potential which confirmed their function in WOM-information.

Abstract:
During development, the fruit of some paprika (Capsicum annuum L.) cultivars shows a change in color from green to dark purple (e.g., ‘Mavras’) or lilac (e.g., ‘Tequila’). However, this purple coloration is rare among paprika cultivars and disappears in ripened fruit, which are red. Therefore, we investigated the mechanism causing this color change in the cultivars Mavras and Tequila to better understand how purple ripened fruit could be generated. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analyses of the anthocyanin contents of the fruit indicated that anthocyanin was undetectable in green fruit, accumulated in dark purple or lilac ones, and then decreased again in red ones in both cultivars. Furthermore, expressions of most of the analyzed anthocyanin biosynthesis–related genes and genes for their transcription factors increased in dark purple or lilac fruit and decreased in red ones, i.e., it was synchronized with the changes in anthocyanin contents. Furthermore, anthocyanin degradation activity as a result of peroxidases was detected at all stages but increased when the lilac or dark purple color started to fade. Thus, the development of purple coloration is caused by increased anthocyanin biosynthesis, whereas the fading of this coloration is a result of both a decrease in anthocyanin biosynthesis and an increase in anthocyanin degradation. At the ripening stage, the green pigment (chlorophyll) contents decreased, whereas the red pigment (carotenoid, particularly capsanthin) contents increased. However, these timings did not completely coincide with the timing of anthocyanin degradation, suggesting that the content of each pigment is individually regulated, and so purple, green, and red coloration could be freely expressed in mature paprika fruit.

Abstract:
Abstract BACKGROUND Canadian exclusive breastfeeding rates at 6 months of age are only 24.2%, and are even lower in mothers of infants requiring Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) admission. An interactive website was developed that provides professional (articles, videos) and peer (discussion forum for peers, access to a lactation consultant) breastfeeding support to mothers of infants requiring NICU admission. OBJECTIVES The objective of the study is to outline maternal perceptions of the breastfeeding support website (MAVINS-NICU) in a level-III NICU setting. DESIGN/METHODS This study represents the qualitative research component of the MAVINS-NICU project. Semi-structured interviews were conducted antenatally with women at risk of delivering an infant requiring NICU admission (n=6), and postnatally with mothers of infants admitted to the NICU (n=7), regarding their experiences with the MAVINS-NICU website. Interviews were audio-recorded and transcribed by a professional transcriptionist. Analysis occurred in an iterative fashion using open and axial coding strategies to identify majors themes. RESULTS Several themes were identified: 1) Women seemed comforted that a reliable hospital-provided resource would be available to them after birth, “…I’m very happy that I’m going to have lots of support”; 2) Women felt overwhelmed after birth, but often accessed the website on their phone or read newly posted comments on the discussion forum in response to automatically generated weekly emails from the website, “I’m just, overwhelmed… because I’m [in the NICU a lot], I only have my phone and it’s just easier to look at the emails… [they] just pop up”; 3) Mothers felt extremely comforted by the peer support component of the website, “to see what other moms are going through … similar emotions or issues … to see that I’m not the only one [helps]”; 4) Mothers enjoyed remote access and quick online lactation consultant response times, “ … [you can] get help even when there’s no one around”, “I was really surprised … by how quickly I got responses”; 5) Majority of mothers expressed a sense of empowerment to provide breast milk with the help of MAVINS support, “…being able to breastfeed eventually is a big deal for me… [it made me feel] like I was accomplishing something”. CONCLUSION Mothers of infants admitted to the NICU found the MAVINS-NICU website very helpful and considered it part of their success in providing breast milk for their babies.

The dam Mavrovo on the Mavrovo Lake was built on the river Mavrovska at the very exit of the Mavrovo field. The dam can relay in several cases: war, natural disasters (tectonic disturbance, earthquake, flood and human factor), and antiterrorist attack. During the demolition of the dam, a flood wave would be formed along the valley of the Mavrovska River and the Radika River. The basic, main and priority goals that are expected to be achieved after the conducted research, analysis and preparation of this paper are as follows: Realization of the possibilities for reaction and support for cracks, collapse and other damage to dams, Realizing the possibilities for reaction and support if cracks, crashes and other damage to the dams, creating conditions for the occurrence of infectious diseases in humans, animals and plants, achieving the possibilities for reaction and support if cracks, crashes and other damage to dams, resulting in greater material damage to the habitats, destruction of industrial capacities of livestock farms, etc., Realizing the possibilities for reaction and support in the event of an earthquake, Realizing the possibilities for reaction and flood support, Realizing the possibilities for reaction and support during intensive snowfall, snow drifts, avalanches, landslides and more land-slippery landscapes, Realizing the possibilities for reaction and support at extremely high or low temperatures and dense fogs and I have achieved ment opportunities for response and support large-scale fires. In the event that there is a drainage of the dam, if there are no previous optional solutions for managing the possible consequences, there will be a natural disaster on a considerable scale. If the dam is destroyed, it is expected to be destroyed: The entire road infrastructure from Mavrovo to Debar; The economic capacities of the same move, Family homes after the flow of the river radika. There are climatic and pedological consequences and Disruption of biodiversity in the region.

Abstract The study compares morphology of clusters and fruits, the chemical composition and changes of pulp in the process of maceration of grape cultivars ‘Mavrud’, ‘Pinot Noir’ and ‘Merlot’. The cultivar ‘Mavrud’ had biggest clusters and fruits. Its fruits were less firm but had the highest acidity while the fruits of the ‘Pinot Noir’ had the highest content of soluble solids and dry matter and the greatest firmness but the lowest acidity and content of nitrites and nitrates. The fruits of the ‘Merlot’ cultivar had the highest content of L-ascorbic acid, nitrites and nitrates. The pulp colour was largely affected by the maceration temperature. During a warm maceration, the process of pulp darkening accelerated and the red colour saturation increased, whereas cold maceration resulted in the blue colour saturation.

Full text
Abstract:
The observability of the scale direction in visual–inertial odometry (VIO) under degenerate motions of intelligent and connected vehicles can be improved by fusing Ackermann error state measurements. However, the relative kinematic error measurement model assumes that the vehicle velocity is constant between two consecutive camera states, which degrades the positioning accuracy. To address this problem, a consistent monocular Ackermann VIO, termed MAVIO, is proposed to combine the vehicle velocity and yaw angular rate error measurements, taking into account the lever arm effect between the vehicle and inertial measurement unit (IMU) coordinates with a tightly coupled filter-based mechanism. The lever arm effect is firstly introduced to improve the reliability for information exchange between the vehicle and IMU coordinates. Then, the process model and monocular visual measurement model are presented. Subsequently, the vehicle velocity and yaw angular rate error measurements are directly used to refine the estimator after visual observation. To obtain a global position for the vehicle, the raw Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) error measurement model, termed MAVIO-GNSS, is introduced to further improve the performance of MAVIO. The observability, consistency and positioning accuracy were comprehensively compared using real-world datasets. The experimental results demonstrated that MAVIO not only improved the observability of the VIO scale direction under the degenerate motions of ground vehicles, but also resolved the inconsistency problem of the relative kinematic error measurement model of the vehicle to further improve the positioning accuracy. Moreover, MAVIO-GNSS further improved the vehicle positioning accuracy under a long-distance driving state. The source code is publicly available for the benefit of the robotics community.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT Accurate astrometry is a key deliverable for the next generation of multiconjugate adaptive optics (MCAO) systems. The MCAO-Assisted Visible Imager and Spectrograph (MAVIS) is being designed for the Very Large Telescope Adaptive Optics Facility and must achieve 150 $\mu$as astrometric precision (50 $\mu$as goal). To test this before going on-sky, we have created MAVIS Image Simulator (mavisim), a tool to simulate MAVIS images. mavisim accounts for three major sources of astrometric error: high- and low-order point spread function (PSF) spatial variability, tip–tilt residual error, and static field distortion. When exploring the impact of these three error terms alone, we recover an astrometric accuracy of 50 $\mu$as for all stars brighter than m = 19 in a 30 s integration using PSF-fitting photometry. We also assess the feasibility of MAVIS detecting an intermediate-mass black hole (IMBH) in a Milky Way globular cluster. We use an N-body simulation of an NGC 3201-like cluster with a central 1500 M⊙ IMBH as input to mavisim and recover the velocity dispersion profile from proper motion measurements. Under favourable astrometric conditions, the dynamical signature of the IMBH is detected with a precision of ∼0.20 km s−1 in the inner ∼4 arcsec of the cluster where Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is confusion limited. This precision is comparable to measurements made by Gaia, HST, and Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) in the outer ∼60 arcsec of the cluster. This study is the first step towards building a science-driven astrometric error budget for an MCAO system and a prediction of what MAVIS could do once on sky.

Abstract:
The direction related with production of vine planting material originated from the 19th century, after the advent of Phylloxera vastatrix F. in which a large part of the vineyards in Bulgaria and the main wine-growing countries were destroyed. Only solution was proposed for grafting vine varieties from Vitis vinifera L. on resistant rootstocks. A number of biological characteristics of the vine influence both the nursery for scions and the rootstock nursery. One of them, which is main is the affinity of different rootstocks on the different vine varieties. In the southern Bulgaria, where the Mavrud variety is characteristic, high losses are observed due to the low yield of first-class vines. In Bulgaria, the Mavrud variety is highly valued due to its biological qualities, resulting in extracts and dense red wines that have glorified our country.

The heavy metal content in soil, grapes and wine was determined. Most of the heavy metals in the grapes precipitate during fermentation into the sediments, which is the reason for their significantly lower content in the wine. Water washing of grape before processing leads to about 2 time decrease in the Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd contents of wine. The pre-washing of grapes does not lead to any quality deterioration in the wine produced. The amounts of Cu, Zn and Cd in the wine from cv. Abstract:
OBJECTIVE Few classifications of intradural spinal arteriovenous shunts (ID-SAVSs) have considered their anatomical localization in relation to their phenotype and angioarchitectonics. The authors propose another vision of ID-SAVSs allowing a reappraised classification based on analysis of the anatomical disposition, angioarchitecture, and histogenetic location of these vascular malformations. METHODS The radiological and clinical records of 210 patients with ID-SAVSs were retrospectively reviewed, considering their localization, vascular architectonics, and correlation with the 5 histogenetic units of the spinal cord. Among these, 183 files with complete data allowed precise analysis of the ID-SAVSs. RESULTS Among these 183 files (162 and 21 cases with single and multiple lesions, respectively), different entities were identified: 13 pial macro arteriovenous fistulas (MAVFs), 92 pial micro arteriovenous fistulas (mAVFs), 33 superficial pial niduses, and 69 intramedullary niduses. Thirteen sulcal shunts (either fistulas or niduses) were considered subtypes of pial lesions. Among the 21 multiple cases, 11 were monomyelomeric while 10 were multimyelomeric. Pial lesions, either fistulas or niduses, were dominantly vascularized by pial arteries (anterior or posterior depending on the localization of the shunt) and occasionally (except for MAVFs) by transmedullary arteries. Pial niduses occasionally extended into the funiculus by recruiting intrinsic veins or by extension of the nidus itself inside the white matter. Intramedullary niduses were always vascularized by both centrifugal and centripetal feeders, respectively, from sulcal arteries (SAs) and pial arteries. Sulcal lesions are pial lesions located within the ventral median sulcus and vascularized by SAs and veins. Single or multiple ID-SAVSs can be part of various syndromes such as hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, Parkes-Weber, RASA1, CLOVES, and spinal arteriovenous metameric syndromes. Histogenetic analyses revealed a specific distribution of each ID-SAVS in the 5 histogenetic units of the spinal cord: intramedullary niduses were found almost equally from cervical to thoracic units, while MAVFs and mAVFs were mostly found from thoracic to postcrural ones. Pial niduses showed intermediate features between intramedullary and fistulous lesions and were mostly distributed from brachial to crural segments. CONCLUSIONS Precise analysis of the anatomical disposition of ID-SAVSs in relation to functional histogenetic units allows a better understanding of these lesions and improved therapeutic management.
