Abstract:
The normal placentas, regular pregnancies and deliveries were structurally examined. The aim of this research was to compare the results and to confirm if there were some difference in the structure of placenta related to the age of pregnant women. We examined 30 human placentas. The examined group of women were divided into two groups: 1) pregnant women 20-35 years old; 2) pregnant women over 35 years old. The stereological method was used. The volume density, absolute volume, the surface density and absolute surface of terminal villi of placentas in younger and older pregnant women were not significantly different. The volume density, absolute volume, the surface density and absolute surface of the other placentas villi in younger pregnant women compared to older ones, were significantly increased (p<0.001). The volume density of fibrinoid of placentas in older pregnant women compared to younger ones was significantly increased (p<0.02). The surface density, absolute volume and absolute surface of fibrinoid in these two examined groups of pregnant women were not significantly different. The volume density of intervillous space of placentas in older pregnant women compared to younger ones was significantly increased (p<0.05). Absolute volumes of intervillous space of placentas in these two examined groups of pregnant women are not significantly different.

Abstract:
The age of a woman when giving birth to her first child needs to be a concern because it is related to the safety of the mother and baby. A woman being too young or too old increases the risk of death for both the mother and baby. Every woman giving birth for the first time is likely to experience psychological disorders such as anxiety and excessive fear during labor, and even postpartum depression. Given the importance and possible extent of the consequences of women giving birth for the first time, this study intended to assess the factors that influence the age at first birth, especially amongst women of childbearing age in East Java. These factors include the age at first marriage, education, and region. The method used was the extended Cox regression model. The analysis shows that the age at first marriage and education are factors that significantly influence the age at first birth. The more mature the age at first marriage, the more mature the age at first birth. Likewise, the higher the educational status, the higher the potential for giving birth to a first child over the age of 23, especially amongst women who graduated high school and university.

Abstract:
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Objective. </strong>To describe the specific ways of age perceptions in men and women of the same age. <strong>Background. </strong>The relevance of the study is grounded in the fundamental nature of age construction due to social perception and the shortage of research on gender-age dimensions of perceived age. <strong>Study design. </strong>Photos of three pairs of the same aged men/women were presented to age evaluations by between comparison and direct evaluation. <strong>Participants. </strong>The "Between comparison" subsample consisted of 155 people (109 women, 46 men aged 17-60 years), the "Direct evaluation" subsample consisted of 60 people (47 women, 13 men aged 17-77 years). <strong>Measurements. </strong>"Photo-video-presentation of appearance" procedure designed by T.A. Vorontsova. <strong>Results. </strong>Gender asymmetry was found in age perception of men and women: young women are perceived to be older than men of the same ages, mature women are perceived younger. We found that the older the woman, more salient is gender asymmetry in age perception. The age construction of men and women of the same age due to social perception is influenced by age and gender of perceived individual: the greater age difference between perceiving individual and perceived social object, the less the difference in the perceived age of men and women of the same age if the perceived objects are highly older than perceiving subjects. Among male perceiving subjects, we found higher proportion of those who evaluate all women (of any ages) older than men; and among women there are higher proportion of those who evaluate any male older than females. Actualization of different mechanisms of social cognition (comparison and evaluation) when constructing the perceived age of unfamiliar men and women gives similar results. <strong>Conclusions. </strong>Gender-specific patterns of the construction of perceived age in the perception of men and women of the same age are found, due to gender stereotypes and related practices of caring for their appearance: mature women look younger than their male peers, equalizing their capabilities and resources with a more youthful appearance; young women look older than their male peers, demonstrating maturity associated with an older perceived age.</p>

Abstract:
Purpose: theoretical justification, development, and approbation of individual differentiated training design of health-promoting shaping with mature age women. Material: women aged from 21-55 years (n=86) participated in the research. It was determined the initial level of their morphofunctional state and physical fitness (it was considered phases of an individual ovarian menstrual cycle). It was revealed criteria of the individual differentiated approach to the design of health-promoting shaping training (it was considered biorhythms of the female body). It was realized the nine-months macrocycle of health-promoting shaping training. The macrocycle consisted of three stages. Two programs - power and aerobic orientation are developed for training at the main stage of a macrocycle. Distribution of loads, their duration, intensity, and volume was regulated individually. It was considered the hormonal background of a female body during an ovarian menstrual cycle. Results: It is observed an increase in the level of a morphofunctional state and physical fitness of women. It is revealed statistically reliable changes of all physical development indicators, a functional state and physical fitness of women. Conclusions: The individual differentiated approach to training design of improving shaping allows to operate a morphofunctional condition of women organism more purposefully. Such an approach promotes organism adaptation to training loads. It also promotes an increase in the level of morphofunctional and physical fitness and health.

Abstract:
Computer tomograms of the abdominal part of the aorta and its unpaired branches of adults belonging to three age groups are analyzed: the first, the second mature, and the elderly. It has been established that individual morphometric parameters of the abdominal part of the aorta and its unpaired branches in men and women significantly change with age. It is proved that the diameter of the aorta at different levels significantly increases with age from the first mature age to the elderly by an average of 5 mm. In addition, in men, the length of the abdominal aorta, celiac trunk and main trunk of the superior mesenteric artery do not change with age. In women, the length of the celiac trunk increases with age by 5,9 mm, the length of the main trunk of the superior mesenteric artery - by 17 mm. It can be assumed that this fact is due to the structural features of the connective tissue structures of the arterial wall in women, and, in particular, the elastic framework. The angle of discharge of the celiac trunk in men changes unevenly with age - in the second period of mature age, there is a statistically significant decrease on average of 12,3°, then in old age an increase of 15°. Moreover, in women, the values of this indicator vary more evenly. The angles of discharge of other vessels did not show a clear age dependence, since this parameter is largely due to the constitutional features. The aorto-mesenteric distance changes with age only in women. In old age, it is on average 4,4 mm larger than in the first period of mature age. In general, a number of morphometric parameters of the abdominal part of the aorta and its unpaired branches significantly changes with age. The findings are important for endovascular interventions.

Abstract:
In the last few decades there has been a steady growth of vessels diseases, including diseases of the abdominal aorta and its unpaired branches. The aim of this study was to study the topography of the abdominal aorta and its unpaired branches in men and women belonging to different age groups. It was analyzed 266 computer tomograms of the abdominal aorta and its unpaired branches of adult men and women divided into three age groups (first and second periods of mature age and old age). It was found that for men is typical the more distal location of the studied anatomical objects relatively to the vertebral column in comparison with women. It was proved that in women of the first mature age period, as well as in men, most often the beginning of the abdominal aorta is observed at the middle of the Th12 body (35.8%), in the second period of mature age - at the middle of the Th12 body (33.3%); in the elderly - at the level of the lower edge of the body of this vertebra. The level of the aorta bifurcation in men in the first period of mature age are most often located at the level of the lower edge of the L4 body, in other age groups at mid-body L4. While in women the age-related changes of the level of the bifurcation of the aorta is not significant. It was shown that in women in all age groups the outfall of the celiac trunk is localized higher than that in men. Dynamics of age changes of the position of the outfalls of the upper and a lower mesenteric artery, in men and women varies considerably. The obtained information about sex and age characteristics of the position of the abdominal aorta and its bifurcation, the outfalls of the celiac trunk, upper and lower mesenteric arteries have not only anatomical interest but also have clinical importance in surgical interventions on the organs of gastro-splenic-pancreaticoduodenal zone.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to find out the frequency of manifestation of pathological changes in the mammary glands during screening mammographic examination in a randomized sample of mature and elderly women. Materials and methods. According to the results of the processing of a randomized sample of archival anonymized mammograms of 100 women (50 – mature and 50 – elderly) who underwent a screening or preventive examination, the state of breast condition was assessed according to the BI-RADS scale in accordance with the degree of risk of the presence of mammary gland neoplasms, using the following assessment categories: 0 – incomplete study (additional examination is required); 1 – negative (no neoplasm detected); 2 – benign changes. Results and discussion. It was established that among mature and elderly women undergoing screening or preventive mammographic examinations, in 19% only age changes in the mammary gland were verified. Benign changes in the form of calcifications, calcified vessels, axillary or intramammary lymph nodes without metastatic signs of degeneration, which correspond to category 2 on the BI-RADS scale, were found in one mammary gland or bilaterally in 72% of the examined individuals. 28% of examined mature and elderly women need additional examination to verify the diagnosis. It was established that among mature and elderly women, according to mammography data, categories 1 and 2 on the BI-RADS scale are more often manifested on the right, category 0 – on the left, and the frequency of manifestation of changes corresponding to category 0 on the BI-RADS scale among the elderly increases comparing to mature. Studying the frequency of detection of pathological changes in mammary gland during screening examinations in randomized samples can become a theoretical basis for forecasting the dynamics of mammary gland incidence in women of different age groups, identifying risk groups and developing preventive measures for mammary gland pathology of various genesis and methods of its early diagnosis. Conclusion. Among mature and elderly women undergoing screening or preventive mammographic examinations, only age-related changes were verified in the mammary glands in only 19%, and changes which are verified as benign or require additional examination were detected in 81%. According to the results of mammography, 28% of examined mature and elderly women need additional examination to verify the diagnosis. Abstract:
Mature cystic teratoma comprise 20-30% of all ovarian tumours. They are mostly seen in patients between 20 and 40 years of age and are mostly asymptomatic. Incidence of malignancy is high in perimenopausal and postmenopausal group. Here, authors report a case of torsion of dermoid cyst presenting unusually in a 45-year-old perimenopausal woman with acute abdomen. A 45-year-old perimenopausal woman presented with lower abdominal pain of 8 hours duration and 3-4 episodes of vomiting. Abdominal examination revealed a regular, firm to cystic, tender abdomino-pelvic mass corresponding to the size of 28 weeks gravid uterus by palpation. Abdominal ultrasonography revealed the presence of right ovarian cyst measuring 12.9x12.8x10.1 cm. Total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oopherectomy was done. Histopathological examination confirmed mature cystic teratoma. Although mature cystic teratoma is rare after 40 years age, especially in perimenopausal women and are usually malignant in that age group, it can have an unusual age presentation at 45 years with benign nature as in present case.

The object of the study were 616 girls and women aged 16-29 years who are domiciled in Penza and Penza region. Of those in group A included women born in 1988-1990, surveyed in 2006-2008, in group B - girls born in 1991-1995, surveyed in 2009-2012. Groups C and D accounted surveyed from 2013 to 2015 and 1996-1997 girls born in 1997-1998, respectively. The average age in the youth group was 19.3±0.06 years in general. Group D accounted for 107 of the first mature age women (24-29 years), 1986-1990 birth. Research results from 2008 and 2015 allow to define the increasing trend to ginecomorphy in first adulthood, continued asthenia and normalization of overall weight and growth relations in adolescence at slightly different longitudinal dimensions. Body mass index, as well as an index of a trophy indicates the appearance of a large number of the first mature age women with excess weight (33%), which is a risk factor for heart disease and blood vessels, accelerating the pace of aging and other diseases. Component part of the body in the female group tends to be the replacement of the active muscle to fat, which is most pronounced among women of the first mature age.

Abstract:
Background and Study Aim. It is believed that the somatotype is a predictor of indicators of functional readiness. There are significant differences in the aerobic performance of the body for people of different somatotypes among students girls and men. Features of manifestation of anaerobic possibilities of an organism at persons of various somatotypes from 7 to 30 years old are described. We can assume that women of the first adulthood period of different somatotypes, indicators of functional readiness are manifested in different ways. The aim of the study was to identify the features of aerobic, anaerobic lactate and anaerobic alactate productivity of women of the first period of mature age of different somatotypes. Material and Methods. The study involved 210 females 25-35 years old. Somatotype was determined in all subjects. Functional readiness was determined by indicators of anaerobic lactatic productivity, anaerobic alactatic productivity and aerobic productivity of the organism. The power of aerobic energy supply processes was investigated by VO2max. To determine the VO2max used cycling ergometric version of the PWC 170 test. The subjects was performed a stepwise increasing load on the ergometer to determine the TAM. At the end of each stage, heart rate was recorded. The TAM level corresponded to the inflection point on the heart rate growth chart. The capacity of anaerobic lactate processes of energy supply was investigated by indicator of the maximum quantity of mechanical work for 1 minute (MQMK). The subjects performed a bicycle ergometric load duration 1 min with a power of 225 W with a maximum pedaling frequency. The power of anaerobic lactate processes of energy supply was determined by the Wingate anaerobic test WAnT 30. The power of anaerobic alactate processes of energy supply was determined by the test WAnT 10. Statistical processing was performed using the program STATISTICA 13. Results. According to absolute indicators (WAnT10. WAnT30. MQMK, TAM, VO2max) the advantage of representatives of endomorphic-mesomorphic somatotype was established. According to relative indicators of aerobic productivity (TAM, VO2max) representatives of the ectomorphic and balanced somatotype predominate. Conclusions. High values of absolute indicators of functional readiness are associated with high values of body mass in combination with a high percentage of muscle for women of different somatotypes. Accordingly, for representatives of somatotypes with lower body mass are characterized by lower absolute values of all indicators of functional fitness. The relative indicators of aerobic productivity are dominated by representatives of somatotypes, which are characterized by lower body mass.

Abstract:
The rapid development of transplantation, endovascular and minimally invasive surgery necessitates a detailed study of the structural features of the vessels of the abdominal cavity. The purpose of the study is the characteristics of the morphometric parameters of the abdominal aorta and its unpaired branches in men and women at different ages and depending on the body type. The analysis of 266 computer tomograms of the abdominal part of aorta and its unpaired branches was carried out in adult men women divided into three age groups (first and second periods of mature age and elderly age), as well as into three groups according to the Pinier index (asthenic, normosthenic and hypersthenic body types). It was established that individual morphometric parameters of the abdominal part of aorta and its unpaired branches in men and women significantly change with age. It is proved that the diameter of the aorta at various levels significantly increases with age from the first mature to the elderly age by an average of 5 mm. However, in men, the length of the abdominal aorta, celiac trunk and main trunk of the superior mesenteric artery does not change with age. In women, the length of the celiac trunk increases with age at 5.9 mm, the length of the main trunk of the superior mesenteric artery - at 17 mm. The angle of discharge of the celiac trunk in men changes unevenly with age - in the second period of mature age, there is a statistically significant decrease by an average to 12.3°, then in old age an increase to 15°. Moreover, in women, the values of this indicator vary more evenly. The angles of discharge of other vessels did not show a clear age dependence, since this parameter is largely due to the constitutional features. The aorto-mesenteric distance changes with age only in women. In elderly age, it is on average 4.4 mm larger than in the first period of mature age. It was also found that there are significant differences between constitutional types identified using the Pinier index in the overwhelming majority of the morphometric parameters studied. The obtained information has a significant clinical importance, since it will allow objectifying the diagnostic criteria of various vascular syndromes and minimizing the risk of endovascular interventions.

Abstract:
Abstract Magazines and other media promote beauty standards and gender roles in feature articles and advertising. Publications present idealized images of women often in contrast to the average reader’s appearance. Analyses of such images suggest gender roles are reinforced through subtle cues embedded in hand gestures, eye gaze, head posture, and body position (Goffman, 1976). This study analyzed a recurrent feature in two different magazine presenting an idealized standard of aging to mature women. The first magazine, MORE, featured mature women, typically between the ages of 40 and 60, with the banner of “This is what (woman’s age) looks like.” MORE magazine is no longer in press, but another magazine, Women’s Day, began a similar recurrent column featuring a women between 40 and 60 with the title “Own Your Age—Yes, I am (women’s age).” Both features included copy describing the woman’s perspective on life and aging and a listing of specific beauty products that she uses. These features were analyzed as advertisements, because they promote a message about being a woman of a certain age and the specific products used to achieve that look. Three researchers coded 43 images from MORE magazine and 30 images from Woman’s Day for physical characteristics of aging and evidence of Goffman’s gender codes. Most photos presented women who appeared younger than their stated age. Images showed the presence of Goffman’s gender codes including feminine touch, ritualization of subordination, licensed withdrawal, and infantilization and were more prevalent in the MORE feature than Woman’s Day column.

Abstract:
High-intensity interval training, or Tabata training, is a fitness training method that aims to perform the maximum number of movements in the minimum amount of time. We decided to establish the effect of high-intensity training according to the Tabata protocol on the physique of mature women. At the beginning of training, 2 rounds were conducted (August - September 2021), during November 2021 - January 2022, 3 rounds were conducted, in February 2022, 4 tabata rounds were already used, but, unfortunately, the study had to interrupt. The purpose of our work was to determine the effectiveness of high-intensity training according to the Tabata protocol on the physique of women of the second mature age. Standing height, weight, circumference of the body (chest, waist, shoulder, thigh, lower leg), thickness of fat folds, as well as derivative indicators: optimal mass, density, fat and fat-free components of the body were determined. In tabata training, we used plyometric exercises, strength exercises with own body weight, strength exercises with light weight. For example: jumps, push-ups, squats, lunges, jumps, sudden accelerations, fit ball exercises, punches and kicks, sprints, etc. Objectives of the study: Determine the main anthropometric indicators of women of mature age of the control and experimental groups and calculate the derived indicators according to the appropriate formulas. To analyze the effectiveness of high-intensity interval training sessions (according to the Tabata protocol) on the indicators we determined. As a result, it was established that high-intensity interval training sessions according to the Tabata protocol have a significant effect on the physical condition of the body of mature women. They have a significant impact on the anthropometric indicators of women of mature age. A significant decrease in the fat component of body weight, an increase in the muscle component, as well as a decrease in body weight and body contours (waist, chest, hip, and leg) were shown. In women who practiced according to this system, all the main indicators characterizing the physical condition quickly and significantly improved.

Computer image analysis is not recognized the differences in optical density and expression square values of above immunohistochemical markers either in mature and overmature pregnancy. These data demonstrate high functional activity of overmature placenta. Thus, it may be postulated that the aging of placenta is not connected with pregnancy duration but it is determined by the biological age of pregnant women.

Abstract:
The article examines the changes in the indicators of physical fitness of women of the first mature age under the influence of fitness classes of the Kherson fitness center "Dominant". Fitness training included aerobic training, strength training (for all major muscle groups) and independent training. It is proved that the systematic use of training fitness programs allowed to determine the positive dynamics in the development of physical qualities of women of the first mature age. Significant changes were found in all indicators: the level of manifestation of speed and strength abilities during the long jump improved by 6.2%, the manifestation of strength abilities on the test "Bending and unbending the arms while lying down" changed by 21.7% , and according to the test "Lifting the torso to the side" - by 11.5%, the results of the development of flexibility changed by 12.1%, and the level of general endurance on the test exercise "Uniform running 1000 m" improved by 7.9%. The obtained results testify to the effectiveness of the proposed method of fitness classes in the indicators of physical fitness of women of the first mature age and can be used in the practice of fitness trainers and fitness instructors. In recent years, various types of health fitness are gaining popularity, maintaining the optimal level of physical condition, vital functions and reducing the risk of developing specific diseases of the cardiovascular, immune, respiratory, endocrine and other body systems. The modern system of physical education raises certain contradictions regarding the capabilities, orientation and determination of the propensity of people of different ages to engage in various types of physical culture and health activities. Taking into account the needs of different groups of the population determines the interest and desire of women of the first mature age to engage in specific types of physical activity, including fitness.

Abstract:
The relevance of the problem of early diagnosis of pathological changes in the mammary glands (MG) of women of different ages is due to the fact that in the world rankings of neoplasms localization, both benign and malignant, the MG occupies a leading position today. According to multiple information sources, more than 80% of women of reproductive age are diagnosed with various MG diseases. For the purpose of early detection of pathological changes developing in MG today, mammography is widely used, which allows easy visualization of calcifications, MG and obtaining their complete characteristics. The purpose of our study was to determine the frequency of detection and to study the age-related dynamics of different types of calcifications in the mammary glands of mature and elderly women according to the mammography results.Material and methods. In the course of the research, a randomized sample of archival anonymized mammograms of 100 women (50 mature and 50 elderly) who underwent screening or preventive examination was processed. Examinations were performed on the Fujifilm Amulet Innovality device (Japan) in direct (SS) and medial-lateral oblique (MLO) projections. Calcifications were assessed by shape, number, and size.Research results. It was determined that in a randomized sample of examined women, only 34% of adults and 28% of elderly people did not have calcifications in the mammary glands. In 24% of adults and 48% of elderly people, calcifications were detected in the mammary glands bilaterally, in another 42% of adults and 24% of elderly people - in only one of the the mammary glands. Among women of mature age, the largest specific share in the examined sample belongs to persons without calcifications in the mammary glands; among the elderly, the largest share is women with calcifications in both mammary glands. According to the results of the conducted research in a randomized sample of mature and elderly women, the following was found: isolated scattered punctate calcifications (35% of the examined); single punctate/round calcifications (23% of the examined); annular calcifications (11% of the examined); multiple calcifications (19% of the examined); calcifications larger than 1 mm (14% of the examined); calcified vessels (4% of the examined).Conclusions. Digital mammography is a highly informative method of examining the mammary glands, which allows us to visualize calcifications and differentiate them by size, shape and number. According to the results of the analysis of a randomized examination sample of 100 mature and elderly women, various variants of calcifications were found as single, diffuse, punctate; single punctate/round; annular; multiple; greater than 1 mm; as well as calcified vessels. With age, the frequency of mammary gland calcifications increases.

SummaryThe aim of this study was to determine the morphological characteristics of the older reproductive aged women's oocytes and to reveal the influence of these characteristics on intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcomes. The oocytes of women older than 35 years of age were evaluated retrospectively. Non-invasive polarization microscopy (PolScope) examinations of mature oocytes were performed by measurement of meiotic spindles’ length, area and retardance and zona pellucida thickness and retardance. Fertilization and conception competence and the correlation with the birefringent structures were assessed. Two hundred and thirteen mature oocytes from 54 women were evaluated with a PolScope. Length of the meiotic spindle was shown to be related to fertilization success of women with advanced maternal age. In conclusion, the PolScope is a useful device used to identify the oocyte quality. Quantitative measurements of meiotic spindle parameters may be valuable for the selection of high-quality oocytes that have the potential for embryo development in the in vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratory of women older than 35 years of age who are mostly poor responders.

Abstract:
The first period of mature age (21-35 years) of women is characterized by the beginning of involutionary processes in the body and a decrease in the motor abilities of women, and the solution to this problem is possible by optimizing their motor activity. An important factor in training for mature women is to ensure a positive effect on the functional state of the muscles of the torso. Classes in dance types of health-improving motor activity (in particular, bellydance- fitness) have a positive effect on the psycho-emotional state of women and the state of their musculoskeletal system. The work is devoted to the research of the influence of the practice of bellydance-fitness (fitness with movements of oriental dance) on the functional state of the trunk muscles of women of the first period of mature age. Indicators of physical qualities such as static and dynamic strength endurance of torso muscles; spinal mobility in women engaged in bellydance-fitness were studied. Indicators of physical preparedness of women with less than 4 months of training and women with 2-3 years of training were compared. It was a positive effect of bellydance-fitness on the level of functional state of the torso muscles of women. Women with 2-3 years of training are characterized by a higher level of strength of the muscles of the torso and mobility of the spine than women with less than 4 months of training. The results of the research give grounds to recommend the use of bellydance-fitness as a means of improving the functional state of the torso muscles of women.

Abstract:
AbstractDespite an established literature on gender, consumerism, and dress, there is almost no research on fashion and the life cycle. Meanwhile, the historiography on aging has addressed stigma, physicality, and sexuality, though only tangentially the manufacture of femininity through clothes. This article links the two separate historiographies. It is concerned with the ongoing fabrication of mature femininity through fashionable clothes, and the paradoxes inherent in that performance. The misogynist attack on dressy older women was pungent, but mature women still had to clothe themselves. Accusations of frolicking in a lamb fashion were mortifying, but keeping up appearances was vital too. This article examines the interplay of age and fashion, re-creating the distinctive way women of the middling ranks and lesser gentry negotiated the pitfalls of dressing past their prime, charting a perilous course between indignity and scorn on the one hand and invisibility on the other. Perceptions of age and aging bore unevenly on women and men. Nevertheless, conviction about the decorum of female sartorial retirement once the blush was off the peach and savage portrayals of hideous physical decline were counterbalanced by the blandishments of the market itself. Cumulatively, the Georgian marketplace tended to endorse the public profiles of older women, suggesting a galaxy of imagined performances that overwhelmed the misogynist discourse arguing for their obliteration.

Abstract:
Using data from the 1984 NLS Mature Women's Cohort, this study investigates whether post-school-age training (defined as both formal education and other forms of training received after the end of formal schooling) affected women's wages and labor force participation. The author analyzes the association between training and wage changes over the years 1967 (when the women in the sample ranged in age from 30 to 44) through 1984 (when they had reached ages 47 to 61) and compares labor force participation in 1984 between women who had obtained post-school-age training and those who had not. Women who received post-school-age training experienced a greater rise in wages and participated in the labor force at older ages than did women who received no training.

Abstract:
In order to establish the characteristic range of variability of the lateral ventricles and their departments in a person of mature age, depending on the shape, size of the head and sex, a study was conducted on 40 moist preparations of the brain with their maters. In each case, craniometry was performed to determine common indices, and morphometric indices of longitudinal and transverse parameters of all lateral ventricles were established. As a result of the conducted researches the range of individual anatomical variability of linear parameters of parts of lateral ventricles in men and women of mature age is established, which is confirmed by statistical analysis. In men and women with dolichocephalic head shape, the highest values of length of all sections of the lateral ventricles are determined, which is related to the influence of the longitudinal parameters of the head and skull in the representatives of this extreme shape. On the contrary, representatives with a brachycephalic form show an increase in the width of the object, due to the predominance of the transverse parameters at this craniotype.

Abstract:
The leisure of older women is subject to prejudices of both ageism and sexism. Gender roles and identities lock women into leisure which is experienced mostly within the confines of the home. The lack of material resources also limits their ability to undertake a wider range, as well as a greater number, of leisure activities within the public sphere outside the home. These conditions become emphasised in the more mature years of a woman's life, such that leisure expectations that are assumed for the Third Age seldom materialise. In the study of older women in Singapore, it was found that many engaged in home-bound activities and where these extended into public spaces, the activities conformed to gender and age expectations and according to material resources. The paper argues that leisure, especially for older women, must be contextualised; it requires an understanding of how social ideologies construct gender and age identities and roles, and therefore shape the leisure outcomes and spaces in which they are carried out.
