<p style="text-align: justify;">Marital satisfaction and intimacy are influential factors in psychological well-being. Psychotherapy can be effective in promoting them. This study aimed to compare the effect of three methods of Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Imago Relationship Therapy on Marital Satisfaction and Intimacy in married women. This is a semi-experimental study in which three groups of women took part. Thirty-nine married women completed the study (Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy: 14, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): 14, and Imago Relationship Therapy: 11). Data were collected using ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Scale and Intimacy Scale. Data were analyzed using SPSS v. 22 via one-way ANOVA and t-tests. The findings indicated the effectiveness of Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy (3.37&plusmn;1.27 vs. 4.79&plusmn;0.68), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (3.35&plusmn;0.35 vs. 4.19&plusmn;0.16), and Imago Relationship Therapy (3.52&plusmn;0.15 vs. 4.17&plusmn;0.16) on intimacy (p=0.001, Partial Eta Squared=0.30); and effectiveness of Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy (203.70&plusmn;14.88 vs. 273.33&plusmn;8.26), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (202.11&plusmn;16.29 vs. 208.71&plusmn;13.66), and Imago Relationship Therapy (200.08&plusmn;7.51 vs. 438.01&plusmn;17.82) on marital satisfaction (p=0.001, Partial Eta Squared=0.98). Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Imago Relationship Therapy had a large effect size on the intimacy and marital satisfaction of married women. Abstract:
Introduction: Marital burnout and conflicts are common phenomenon that weaken relationships and increase marital problems. Aim: The purpose of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy on marital burnout and conflicts among applicants for divorce. Method: The research method was a semi experimental study with pre-test post-test control group design. The statistical population of the study included all divorce applicants in 2020. 45 participants in a block randomization were divided into two intervention groups, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (N=15) and Schema Therapy (N=15), and a control group (N=15). The interventions were performed for both groups through 12 sessions, 90 minutes. The control group did not receive any intervention during this period. The Pains Boredom Scale (1996) and the Sanai Marital Conflict Questionnaire (MCQ-R) were used to collect data. Findings were analyzed by SPSS-20 software using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The results showed that both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (P<0.01, F=59.78) and Schema Therapy (P<0.01, F=4.40) are effective on marital burnout and marital conflicts. Comparing two interventions also showed that Schema Therapy was more effective than Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on reducing marital burnout (P<0.01, F=13.60) and couples marital conflicts (P<0.01, F=29.93). Conclusion: According to the results, ACT therapy and schema therapy are important role in reducing marital distress and conflict. Therefore, these methods and other treatment methods should be used to improve marital satisfaction and reduce marital distress and conflict.

Abstract:
Background: Marital conflicts partly happen due to the psychological disorders of couples, issues related to children, and the long periods of depression, all of which may lead to the failure of relationship and divorce. The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of schema therapy and emotional self-regulation therapy in the components of marital conflict in women referred to the psychological centers of Ahvaz City. Methods: It was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design and a control group. The research population consisted of all women with marital conflicts referring to the psychological centers of Ahvaz, in 2019. Using convenience sampling, 45 women who were willing to participate in the project were recruited and randomly assigned into two experimental groups (schema therapy and emotional self-regulation therapy) and a control group (n=15 per group). Data were collected with the Marital Conflict Questionnaire. Besides, the first and second intervention programs consisted of eight 90-minute sessions of schema therapy and eight 90-minute sessions of emotional self-regulation therapy, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed using the multivariate analysis of covariance in SPSS V. 24. Results: Schema therapy and emotional self-regulation therapy effectively improved the components of marital conflict in women (P<0.01). Also, the effects of the two interventions on the components of marital conflict did not significantly differ (P>0.05). Conclusion: According to the findings, schema therapy and emotional self-regulation therapy are suggested to be employed by psychologists and psychiatric nurses to improve the components of women’s marital conflict

Abstract:
Objective: Marital conflict is one of the serious problems in couples' interactions, which is considered as the cause of marital infidelity or divorce in many cases. This research was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of schema therapy and emotion focused therapy on the attitude towards marital infidelity of people with marital conflict. Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with two experimental groups and a control group along with a follow-up test period. From the statistical population of women referring to the clinics of the 1st district of Tehran, 45 people were selected using the available method and replaced in three groups using a random method. Whatley's marital infidelity questionnaire (2006) was used. First, the pre-test of the attitude towards extrapolation was implemented for all three groups, then schema therapy (Yang, 2003) and emotion focused therapy (Greenberg, 2004) were implemented for the experimental groups, but no intervention was applied for the control group; Finally, the post-test and the follow-up test were performed for all three groups. Findings: The results of the repeated measurement test showed that both schema therapy and emotion focused groups are effective in reducing attitudes towards marital infidelity (f=8.447 and p=0.001). Bonferroni's post hoc test showed that there is no significant difference in the effectiveness of the two schema therapy and emotion focused approaches. Conclusion: To improve the attitude towards marital infidelity of people with marital conflict, it is suggested to use both schema therapy and emotion focused interventions.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the attitudes and beliefs of art therapists towards Evidence-Based Practices (EBP). EBP is a rising trend in healthcare that refers to the process of using empirically validated research to make clinical decisions that best meet the needs of each client (Patterson, Miller, Carnes & Wilson, 2004).The investigators used a mixed methods approach to the research topic. Part A consists of a survey distributed to graduates of the Department of Marital and Family Therapy (MFT) at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). In addition to answering questions, survey participants were asked to create an art response depicting their perspective on the relationship between art therapy and EBP. In the second phase (Part B), the researchers used an arts-based methodology to further explore the findings from Part A. Part B involved the creation of key idea cards pulled from the literature review and the findings, individual art responses by each investigator, and verbal and written analyses of the content and process. The idea that art therapists are already integrating EBP and art therapy in their practices emerged as the major finding of the research. This realization that clinicians are already at the intersection of EBP and art therapy was a contrast to the cautious divided attitudes that were discovered in the literature review. Further research could not only strengthen the evidence base of art therapy, but also illuminate how exactly therapists have managed to bridge the gap between EBP and art therapy.

Abstract:
Abstract This chapter summarizes and discusses the reliability and validity of five measures of family assessment. Reliability is related to the consistency of a measure and is especially important when assessing measurement tools that will be used in clinical practice to guide the clinical decision-making process (Springer, Franklin, 2003). Reliability is established through four methods: test-retest, alternate form, split-half, and internal consistency. Validity addresses whether a tool measures what it is intended to measure. There are four types of validity: content validity, criterion validity, construct validity, and factorial analysis. Validity should be assessed in terms of the specific measurement tool and its intended use (Springer, Franklin, 2003). Managed behavioral health care and the subsequent demands for accountability in clinical practice require assessment tools and interventions that are known to be effective with clients and have well-established reliability and validity. Springer, Abell, and Hudson (2002) point out that despite an increase in accountability tools, the science of measurement and instrument development is very young. Much progress has been made on the psychometric development of valid and reliable assessment tools in the 25-to 30-year developmental period of marital and family therapy measures (Franklin, Jordan, 1999). The purpose of this chapter is to illustrate the importance of the development of psychometric measurement tools, which inform practice in marital and family therapy.

Abstract:
Abstract The power to restrain women’s sexuality has taken many forms. Historically, men have been entitled and even encouraged to reprimand their wives physically, and forced sex was not excluded as a means of rebuke and control. Marital rape, which many have been considered an oxymoron as one could not rape something owned, has been used to punish a woman judged to be unfaithful. The long list of restraints and coercive acts served the ultimate purpose of limiting women’s sexual access, or desirability, to competing males. To better understand these processes, this chapter explores the often brutal but evolutionarily old control strategies that have been deployed when males have feared or suspected infidelity. Intimate partner violence is often paired with sexual coercion when female infidelity is suspected. Sexual coercion is one of several methods of mate guarding, preventing or avenging cuckoldry. The variables that affect the decision to apply coercive methods and other tactics of mate guarding are discussed. Research is presented indicating sexual selection pressures (i.e., evolution) is the ultimate cause of forced in-pair copulation, notwithstanding the proximate causes of religion, culture, traditions, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs of the men and women involved in the dynamic of sexual coercion in response to real or perceived female infidelity. Case studies of couples experiencing the dynamics of female infidelity and male sexual coercion are presented, along with an evolutionarily informed cognitive therapy that may provide a useful treatment mechanism.

Abstract:
Case Studies Within Psychotherapy Trials: Integrating Qualitative and Quantitative Methods presents a specific, mixed-methods approach, called the “Cases Within Trials” (CWT) model, to psychotherapy research, combining the results from a randomized clinical trial (RCT), from case studies drawn from the RCT, and a synthesis of the two types of knowledge. Chapter 6 of the book applies this model to a study of the application of a three-session, individual, “motivational interviewing” therapy—specifically labeled “motivational enhancement therapy for antidepressants” (META). META was employed for treating disadvantaged, predominantly Spanish-speaking Latinos with depression. Finding META plus routine individual psychiatric therapy based in a community mental health center (CMHC) to be statistically and substantially superior to the CMHC-therapy-only condition, the authors then analyze and compare the positive-outcome case of Lupe, the mixed-outcome case of Ana, and the negative-outcome case of Maria, all drawn from the META condition.

Method: The study design is pre-experimental one group pre-test and after-experimental post-test. Setting is St. Joseph old age home, Coimbatore. Sample size is 50 old age individuals. There are 13 items in Tool-1demography proforma and 28 items in section-B standardised general health questionnaire. The tool is verified the experts . The confidential error of this tool is verified by using the split half technique. The value of this tool is 0.7. The collected data is analysed by both inferential method and descriptive statistical method. Evaluation of the efficacy of laughter therapy is done by using the paired 't' test Results: The pre test results showed that out of 50 respondents, 26 (52%) had good mental health, 24 (48%) had poor mental health, and none (0) had good mental health. The post test result showed that 36 (72%) of respondents had good mental health; 14 (28%) had satisfactory mental health; and none had poor mental health (0) The mean mental health score of the respondents before the intervention was 54 (54.82) and the mean mental health score after the intervention was 84 (84.40). The difference in mental health level was 0.5 (0.5). The post-intervention mental health level was higher than the pre-intervention level, indicating the effectiveness of the laughter therapy. The comparison of pre-intervention and post-intervention old age people' mental health score showed that t = 24.2. The research hypothesis (H1) is accepted and null hypotheses are rejected. The analysis showed a significant relationship between the post-intervention and socio-demographic variables, such as religion and marital status. The obtained value was less that the table value at 0.05 level of significance. So the research hypothesis (H2) is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. Interpretation and Conclusion: It can be inferred that the Mental Health level of old age people were poor during the pre-test and was increased after the administration of Laughter therapy. It is found that the Mental Health Level score were considerably more in the post-test itself.

ABSTRACT Background: Marriage problems that often arise often begin with sexual problems. Sexuality is not always focused on coital activity which includes cycles of desire, excitement, orgasm, and resolution but it is also related to non coital activity. Sexual satisfaction refers to a person’s pleasant feelings of the type of sexual relationship that forms an important part of the impression of one partner with another which in turn maintains their marriage. 75 percent of all women and 50 percent of all men have experienced sexual difficulties. Sexual dysfunction occurs in almost half of marriages and in about 75 percent of couples who need therapy or assistance in marital problems. This study aimed to analyze the effect of hypnosis in patients with sexual dysfunction. Subjects and Method: This was a meta-analysis and systematic review. The articles were obtained from Pubmed, Science Direct, Springer Link, and Google Scholar electronic databases. Keywords to search articles were “non-medical therapy”, “nonmedical treatment”, “randomized control trial”, “sexual disorder”, “sexual function”, and “sexual satisfaction”. The articles studied were full text articles with observational study design. The articles were collected using PRISMA diagrams and analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3. Results: Hypnosis increased sexual arousal by 2.16 times compared to not providing the therapy (OR= 2.16; 95% CI = 1.76 to 2.56; p<0.001). Conclusion: Hypnosis increases sexual arousal. Abstract:
San Nicolas de Esquiros and Santa Maria del Refugio Haciendas emerge from colonial times in Mexico, instituting their communities based on this and the figure of peasant subsumed to that of the authority. Based on its morpho-spatial characteristics and its festivities, communities form what is meaningful for them: their heritage and their identity. Due to the neoliberal economic system they live in social exclusion and economic poverty, having to sell or divide their patrimonial to slightly solve this situation. This has led to the disarticulation of these heritage spaces, thus affecting their being a community. A growth of its hull destruction can be observed as well as pollution of its springs and the transformation of their celebrations. Economic problems are leading them to live in ways that oppose their constitution of identity and because of this condition of submission and poverty, governance still seems far from being handled. It will be shown how the current economic system has a negative impact on the patrimonial of its populations, thereby harming the social, spatial and identity tissue. The impossibility to state governance for the preservation of its governance will also be displayed. The method used was the critical dialectics, performing ethnographic work (semi-structured interviews and participant observation), in site readings and works analysis. All of it taken to a database from the two approaches: first the one for discovery and afterwards that of explanation.
